[00:00:03]  Yeah, so this is another update to the last update.
[00:00:06]  I'm recording this as I'm driving through my neighborhood in north of Minneapolis here.
[00:00:13]  Anyway, yeah, so let's discuss the Reddit ban.
[00:00:17]  So I finally managed to speak with someone on the Reddit mod team or whatever they are, you know, just for the overall Reddit thing.
[00:00:28]  And I got into a conversation with them.
[00:00:31]  So here's what happened.
[00:00:33]  And I'm going to let the band stay.
[00:00:35]  I'm not going to fight it or anything like that.
[00:00:39]  That's stupid at this point because I know I'm not going to stop doing what got me banned.
[00:00:47]  Not specifically.
[00:00:49]  What originally got me a ban from one of the subreddits was, as I said before, I told a Nazi exactly how to unalive themselves.
[00:01:00]  And that didn't go over well.
[00:01:03]  So, yeah, that got me a boot from one.
[00:01:10]  And then self-promotion of the podcast on now the second podcasting group that had booted me out.
[00:01:23]  The first one was R slash Podcasting.
[00:01:26]  And I noticed a lot of people on there were commenting with things like, oh, you know, I want to do this with my show or that with my show, but I don't know what to do, you know, X. I mean, it's really, you know, general help forum kind of shit.
[00:01:39]  And I would tell people, you know, regarding like this or that, if it was a political show, like, hey, man, I run, you know, Gish Gallop Girl and yada yada yada.
[00:01:49]  And it didn't matter what the quality of my content was.
[00:01:51]  It didn't matter that I'd get a lot of upvotes, etc.
[00:01:56]  The mods on R slash podcasting came down on me pretty quickly and they're like, you know, no self-promotion, etc.
[00:02:03]  I'm like, well, that's fucking stupid.
[00:02:05]  And I did that.
[00:02:07]  I just did that.
[00:02:08]  Fuck them.
[00:02:08]  You know, I don't, I don't care.
[00:02:10]  It's a dumb rule and it's not breaking an actual law.
[00:02:14]  So yeah, I let them throw me out of that one.
[00:02:15]  And that was well over a year ago.
[00:02:18]  Fast forward to more recent times.
[00:02:21]  And as I had mentioned before on the show and in social media posts, I was booted from R slash Candace Owens after going in there and telling them, you know, who I am and what I do because my username on Reddit was not Thomas Anderson.
[00:02:38]  I had not quite figured that out several years ago when I made the username.
[00:02:43]  You know, I hadn't figured out that I was going to be doing a podcast two years later, that kind of thing.
[00:02:48]  Anyway, so yeah, some of the people on R slash Candace Owens, you know, they, they were civil.
[00:02:56]  There were a couple of knuckleheads in there, but most of most of the people that spoke with me about the show and what I do were civil.
[00:03:03]  Well, within about four hours, that post was removed and I was banned by the mods in that group, which wasn't a big shock, but I was like, all right, man, whatever.
[00:03:13]  You know, so moving forward, R slash podcasts, separate from R slash podcasting.
[00:03:21]  You know how Reddit groups go.
[00:03:22]  If you've ever been on there and looked for anything, if you're one letter off or even capitalization, sometimes I think you can wind up in a different group entirely than the one you thought you were going to.
[00:03:33]  Well, anyway, R slash podcasts, I did a lot of talking on there with people.
[00:03:41]  And I would always plug the show because, hell, we're free, you know?
[00:03:46]  Why not?
[00:03:47]  Well, anyway, R slash podcasts, one of the moderators there didn't like that.
[00:03:52]  And yeah, took me off of that one too.
[00:03:54]  No self-promotion, blah, blah, blah.
[00:03:56]  All right, fine, man, whatever.
[00:03:58]  Moving on.
[00:04:00]  Well, this entire time, ever since I got banned, as it were, from R slash Candace Owens, as I've mentioned on the show before, I'd been reaching out to people on there directly.
[00:04:12]  You know, like I would see their post and I would say something to the effect of, hi, I saw your post on R slash Candace Owens.
[00:04:19]  I run Gish Gallup Girl, a podcast dedicated to debunking Candace Owens.
[00:04:26]  You know, and then I would go through whatever I could say directly about their posts.
[00:04:33]  Whether it was Candace looking, you know, whether it was someone wondering why Candace was pursuing the Brasheet McCrone bullshit or, you know, one of my favorite ones that I responded to pretty regularly on there was people asking, yeah, people saying things like, I think I got a different version of this book.
[00:04:57]  And they would mention, you know, Hollywood Babylon.
[00:05:01]  I'm sorry, Hollywood Babylon is a podcast.
[00:05:03]  Not that.
[00:05:04]  Hollywood Babylon.
[00:05:06]  See how different that is.
[00:05:08]  Hollywood Babylon written by Kenneth Anger.
[00:05:11]  Or they would ask about Chaos written by Tom O'Neill or whatever other book Candace was currently talking about.
[00:05:18]  And they would say things like, I think I got a different book than the one that she's pushing because the things she's saying, I don't see them in here at all.
[00:05:28]  You know, and I would usually respond to those kind of people with the initial paragraph that I talked about.
[00:05:33]  And then I would say something like, look, the odds are very good.
[00:05:37]  You did not get a different version.
[00:05:39]  Candace is a bad student.
[00:05:42]  Candace's reading comprehension sucks on purpose.
[00:05:46]  And then I would go into why.
[00:05:49]  Well, it turns out that five people, they had reports of five people to the Reddit mod team that reached out to them and mentioned that I had been banned and I shouldn't be able to contact them, you know, over DM, which is fair if you get banned from a forum.
[00:06:11]  See, I'm used to the way that Facebook works, right?
[00:06:13]  You get banned from a group on Facebook.

[00:06:15]  You're never going to see stuff from them again.
[00:06:17]  Not from the group anyway.
[00:06:19]  Individual members maybe if you haven't been blocked on their accounts.
[00:06:22]  But, you know, you get blocked from a group on Facebook and yeah, you're not going to see shit, right?
[00:06:29]  Well, that's understandable.
[00:06:31]  But on Reddit, if you get banned from a group, you can still see their posts.
[00:06:34]  You can't upvote, downvote, or comment, but you can still see their posts.
[00:06:39]  Well, apparently, what I was doing by reaching out to these people and trying to have a civil discourse with them was seen as going around the band, as it were.
[00:06:52]  And so I got perma-banned from Reddit for going around the band.
[00:06:58]  Now, I'm not sorry that I did that.
[00:07:03]  When I was talking with the Reddit mod team guy, I was like, oh, only five people reached out to you?
[00:07:09]  And he goes, well, how many times have you done this?
[00:07:14]  I said, oh, in excess of 100, easily.
[00:07:17]  Because I went back to the fact that I'd been reaching out to at least one person today, sometimes as many as three or four.
[00:07:28]  And the guy's like, I'm surprised you didn't, I assume it was a guy.
[00:07:32]  Anyway, that's on me.
[00:07:34]  He goes, I'm surprised you weren't, you know, caught sooner.
[00:07:36]  And I was like, well, you know, I'm not reaching out with any kind of actual malice.
[00:07:41]  I'm reaching out to try to like help people.
[00:07:44]  But, you know, if that's, if that's, if that breaks the terms of service and whatever, you know, I'm not, I can't tell you to not do your job, you know.
[00:07:55]  I was like, plus, man, I don't, I don't really care.
[00:07:58]  I've done the work that I've done and I stand behind it.
[00:08:02]  I'm not sorry that I, that I went around a poorly constructed ban to try to help people out, you know, to try to get them away from a grifter that is living on their clicks and merch sales and subscriptions and all that shit.
[00:08:25]  I'm not sorry I did that.
[00:08:28]  And the mod was like, well, you know, okay.
[00:08:32]  Yeah.
[00:08:33]  The band stays.
[00:08:35]  All right, fine, whatever.
[00:08:36]  You know, and I just, I deleted Reddit off my phone.
[00:08:41]  I did, you know, obviously, like before all of that happened is when I had immediately made a separate account and I posted up about that and everything.
[00:08:50]  Well, they eliminated that one too.
[00:08:55]  They also eliminated my alt accounts that I had.
[00:09:00]  So unless I feel like going through the song and dance again of making an account on, you know, another like free email or whatever, you know, I will not be on Reddit.
[00:09:13]  The show will not be represented officially on Reddit anywhere.
[00:09:18]  And honestly, I'm fine with that.
[00:09:20]  I helped as many people out as I could.
[00:09:23]  I'm still obviously very welcome on platforms like Blue Sky, where I've done a little more posting.
[00:09:31]  Blue Sky is fine.
[00:09:33]  I've gotten a lot of followers over the last several days, which is pretty neat.
[00:09:37]  But I don't, I don't really want to be on the socials that much.
[00:09:45]  You know, I feel confident with what we do on the show that I don't feel like I need to build the audience up anymore.
[00:09:53]  can kind of leave building the audience to people's general curiosity and maybe the audience itself you know yep there goes a police officer um so that's that's kind of it i i think that's where i'm at right now on all of this uh for anybody that i was dming with via reddit who was having a good conversation with me before it all happened um Y'all can still reach me.
