[00:05:00]  So tell me first on what's happening with this Epic City thing, the Meadows.
[00:05:05]  Yeah.
[00:05:05]  So this group, whatever they call themselves, they actually call themselves Community Cal.
[00:05:11]  Initially known as Epic City, a Muslim development, actually in my county, close to where I used to live, in Collin County.
[00:05:19]  And they sued the Texas Workforce Commission, saying that the Workforce Commission had agreed to certain terms and that Epic was no longer committing any violations of fair housing laws.
[00:05:33]  Unfortunately, for Epic, more complaints were filed and the Workforce Commission found more violations.
[00:05:41]  And then HUD started investigating and they're now reviewing this whole.
[00:05:45]  Epic City situation.
[00:05:47]  And then, of course, you know how it is in Austin, Texas.
[00:05:49]  We have a liberal judge, Amy Clark Meacham, comes in and says, No, no, no.
[00:05:56]  You have to go forward with this agreement despite these violations.
[00:06:00]  You have to allow Epic to proceed with their development.
[00:06:03]  So we appealed, which you were discussing the little intricacies of the legal world.
[00:06:09]  Our appeal stops for injunction until that appeal is resolved.
[00:06:14]  So, good thing is, it's a 15th Circuit Court.
[00:06:17]  What are the violations?
[00:06:19]  That you see?
[00:06:21]  So the violations were actually determined by the Workforce Commission, and the initial violations supposedly were worked out, but the problem is there have been new complaints, and I don't know what the new complaints are.
[00:06:33]  I just know that people have filed complaints with the Texas Workforce Commission.
[00:06:38]  They're now investigating those complaints, and HUD's also investigating.
[00:06:41]  So neither the Texas Workforce Commission does not want to go forward with this agreement when there are other violations outstanding that have not been resolved by EPIC.
[00:06:52]  So, Ken, for people who don't know, I mean, there's a lot of people in Texas who just don't understand that the entire culture of Texas is being lost and that Texas is a major target of an Islamist movement.
[00:07:11]  I mean, this is how you have no go zones in cities all over the world.
[00:07:16]  Explain this to somebody who's really not paying attention to what your problem is or what people are fearing this is.
[00:07:25]  Actually.
[00:07:27]  Yeah, I think it's interesting because it seems like it's been over, you know, it started out kind of slowly.
[00:07:33]  Now, there are more and more of these developments that are exclusively Muslim and supposedly Sharia law governs.
[00:07:41]  Well, you know, obviously people have the right to worship how they want to, but they do not have the right to have their own laws.
[00:07:47]  And one of the reasons we sued Epic separately from this Workforce Commission issue is we felt like they were violating our state and federal securities laws.
[00:07:55]  And we think there are other issues involved with how they structure the transaction that are legal.
[00:08:00]  And we certainly think that they violated fair housing laws, which are not really ours to enforce, the federal ones anyway.
[00:08:06]  But, you know, If you're going to live in our country, you have to follow our state and federal laws, and you have to follow our constitution.
[00:08:14]  You can't develop your own little community and then decide that you're going to determine your own laws that are separate and apart from the laws of the nation.
[00:08:24]  And that's what's happening.
[00:08:27]  Why are they so intent on building a Muslim community this size, especially in Texas?
[00:08:34]  How many developments are there, and why is Texas such a big target?
[00:08:39]  Well, look, I mean, I don't know, but I mean, you can only surmise that this is a pretty important state.
[00:08:44]  That if it doesn't stay strong, if it doesn't stay really conservative, if it doesn't stay as a Republican state, the country overall is going to be harmed by that.
[00:08:54]  And potentially, you know, we may not ever elect another Republican Congress or another Republican president again.
[00:09:00]  And of course, that affects the Supreme Court.
[00:09:02]  So all branches of government then are controlled by one party, which I think is the ultimate goal here.
[00:09:05]  The ultimate goal, whether, you know, through these developments or just generally the progressive movement in this country, is to have a one party system.
[00:09:14]  Where the elections are rigged, but no one says they're rigged.
[00:09:17]  They just are rigged through mail in ballots and illegal voting and no photo ID, all the things that we're trying to do with the Save America Act.
[00:09:24]  And it looks like we're having fair elections.
[00:09:26]  Ultimately, what the Democrats want and the progressives want is they want a one party country where most of the elections are rigged, but they never say they're rigged.
[00:09:34]  And they control the government through a few people.
[00:09:38]  That's what they want.
[00:09:41]  And it is the Red Green Alliance.
[00:09:46]  I was just on with Piers Morgan.
[00:09:47]  I'm going over to.
[00:09:49]  Tommy Robinson's rally here in a couple of weeks over in England.
[00:09:55]  And, you know, this is what's happening to England and all over Europe.
[00:10:03]  And it's becoming a real problem.
[00:10:04]  And I was talking to Piers Morgan and he just said, well, there's not a real problem here.
[00:10:08]  It's, you know, why does everybody keep singling out the Muslims?
[00:10:11]  I don't think anybody's singling out Muslims.
[00:10:13]  You're singling out Islamists.
[00:10:16]  48% in a recent poll in Europe, 48%.
[00:10:20]  Of those immigrants say they want Sharia law in Europe, that that's their goal is to have Sharia law.
[00:10:28]  You're running, and I'm going to be encouraging every single person to ask their politician of this.
[00:10:34]  And if they answer the wrong way, don't vote for them.
[00:10:38]  Don't vote for them.
[00:10:39]  Ken doesn't know what I'm about to ask him, but I think it's going to be pretty easy.
[00:10:42]  Will you support a nationwide ban on Sharia law?
[00:10:48]  Absolutely.
[00:10:49]  It's, inconsistent with our constitution.
[00:10:52]  It's inconsistent with most of our federal and state laws.
[00:10:56]  And there's no way we can have a dual operating legal system in our country and sustain that.
[00:11:03]  We will crumble and we will have serious issues like Europe is having.
[00:11:07]  I mean, the foreshadowing is already happening in Europe, right?
[00:11:10]  We already know how this plays out.
[00:11:12]  So if we're not diligent in Texas and we're not diligent in our country, we will lose our country.
[00:11:17]  We will not have our constitutional freedoms that our founders put in place.
[00:11:26]  I was at the 9 11 memorial, the museum here in Manhattan this week.
[00:11:30]  I think it was on Monday I went in.
[00:11:34]  And walking through it, the thoughts of everything that this country is going through right now and what we're debating or not debating because you're forced into silence is remarkable that that was 25 years ago.
[00:11:48]  And here we are.
[00:11:49]  Yep.
[00:11:50]  And the fact that we haven't maybe learned our lessons from that incident, it's a problem.
[00:11:57]  And look, I've spoken to.
[00:12:01]  Muslim leaders in Texas, and I've said to them, You've got, you cannot expect us, the rest of this state, to allow you to push Sharia law andor even to be in a position where you won't speak out against terrorism when it happens from your religion.
[00:12:20]  You need to speak out against it and let us know that you're with us and that you don't support terrorist actions in our country and you guys don't speak out when it happens enough.
[00:12:33]  Ken, tell me about the race.
[00:12:36]  The race is going well.
[00:12:37]  You know, we've got early voting starts May 18th through the 22nd.
[00:12:40]  We've got five days of early voting and the day after Memorial Weekend.
[00:12:42]  So it's going to be a low turnout vote.
[00:12:44]  However, my opponent spent $100 million in the first round to lie to the Texas people to convince them that he's pro Trump and he's pro border wall and that he's not an amnesty guy, which is all false.
[00:12:54]  He's an open borders, anti Trump guy, and he's running, spent $100 million to tell people that he's good and I'm bad.
[00:13:02]  And that I've adopted his positions, which is crazy.
[00:13:06]  You know, sometimes I'm for LGBT funding.
[00:13:09]  I'm for the transgender movement.
[00:13:12]  You know, I let child predators off, you know, easy.
[00:13:15]  I mean, just crazy stuff.
[00:13:17]  No, I'm not kidding.
[00:13:18]  Look at his commercials.
[00:13:20]  He has spent $100 million trying to convince people of those things about me, and it's ludicrous.
[00:13:26]  And the things that he is saying about him are ludicrous.
[00:13:29]  But look, this is a guy that has no record.
[00:13:31]  You cannot find anything that he's accomplished good in 40 years.
[00:13:35]  You look, Glenn, nothing good in 40 years, but he has money from D.C. that he's taken from Republicans to tell them, to convince Republicans here that, you know, all of these things about him are not true.
[00:13:48]  And then he's been a great, he's been doing a great job.
[00:13:50]  He's awful.
[00:13:53]  How's the polling look?
[00:13:55]  So the polling is good, but I don't want to rely on that.
[00:13:57]  Like my polling is really good, like double digits, but I don't trust polling until, because all that matters is whether people vote.
[00:14:05]  Turnout.
[00:14:06]  Yeah.
[00:14:06]  If I tell people on the head, I don't want them to be overconfident and not vote.
[00:14:09]  I need people to vote.
[00:14:10]  I need them to take their friends.
[00:14:11]  I need to take their family because no poll means anything until they actually deliver and show up and vote.

[00:14:47]  Yeah.
[00:14:47]  Right?
[00:14:48]  Yeah.
[00:14:48]  And it had to be surreal.
[00:14:51]  Tell me about the call that came in.
[00:14:54]  Yeah.
[00:14:54]  So, thank you.
[00:14:55]  First of all, thank you so much for having me.
[00:14:56]  And yeah, so it's, I'm, I think like the context matters too.
[00:15:00]  Like, I was 20, I was 27.
[00:15:02]  I had been working there for like six months or so.
[00:15:05]  Crazy.
[00:15:05]  Yeah.
[00:15:06]  I was certainly underqualified.
[00:15:08]  I think I probably got hired because I was a conservative with a Pulse in New York City.
[00:15:13]  And they were like, I guess she knows what she's doing.
[00:15:15]  Let's toss her the keys.
[00:15:17]  And then all of a sudden, yeah, I get a call from Steve Bannon in September of 2020 saying, I have a story that's going to change your life.
[00:15:26]  And I didn't know him.
[00:15:28]  So, this is like really random.
[00:15:29]  And I say, okay, like what?
[00:15:32]  And he says, I'm Hunter Biden's computer.
[00:15:35]  And I was obviously shocked by that.
[00:15:37]  I didn't like fully believe it.
[00:15:38]  I didn't know what to think.
[00:15:39]  And they start to explain, you know, I didn't know Bannon.
[00:15:43]  I was connected with him through a friend of mine who was working for him.
[00:15:46]  And he starts like saying, like, you know, he's addicted to crack and like forgot it somewhere.
[00:15:52]  And now we have it.
[00:15:54]  And, you know, you're listening to this.
[00:15:55]  I mean, it's every reaction that even I had when it first came out.
[00:15:59]  I'm like, Okay, this could be.
[00:16:01]  This sounds insane.
[00:16:03]  Sounds absolutely insane.
[00:16:04]  Exactly, right?
[00:16:05]  Yes, exactly.
[00:16:06]  It sounds like a lie, you know.
[00:16:08]  And I'm like thinking to myself, can you just not get me fired?
[00:16:11]  Like, whatever, like, whatever, like, you entering my life is, can it not end with me being fired?
[00:16:17]  You know, it's like, so it's quite unbelievable.
[00:16:20]  And I'm kind of, they start sending me documents, you know, to like, I guess, bait me into it, like, get me interested.
[00:16:26]  And I'm like, what is this?
[00:16:29]  Like, the documents were making me feel better.
[00:16:31]  It was like, how do you feel better about it?
[00:16:33]  The truth of it, they were not making me feel better about the truth of it.
[00:16:36]  I'm like, How, like, what is this like Photoshop like job that you did where you made these up?
[00:16:41]  Like, I didn't believe it.
[00:16:42]  Right?
[00:16:43]  The story just to me felt too crazy.
[00:16:46]  And, um, at what point did you go?
[00:16:49]  You smell a rat, you smell a rat, you know, listen to your gut.
[00:16:52]  At what point do you say it is crazy, but crack addicts are crazy, right?
[00:17:00]  Yeah.
[00:17:00]  So, that's it.
[00:17:01]  So, the way that I got in touch, where that Steve Bannon got in touch with me was, uh, I had a friend who was working for him as a producer on War Room on his podcast.
[00:17:09]  And this guy, so he came from kind of a rough background.
[00:17:15]  And I mean, maybe you can gather I did not.
[00:17:19]  And so I went to a few private schools growing up and like I had like a very charming little thing going on.
[00:17:25]  And you know, so I'm like, I'm like, this is insane.
[00:17:28]  I don't believe it.
[00:17:28]  Who would act this way?
[00:17:29]  And my friend calls me up and he goes, Emma, you just come from too nice of a neighborhood for this.
[00:17:34]  You never met any crackheads.
[00:17:35]  Like I've met crackheads and like, They forget things.
[00:17:38]  It's not unbelievable.
[00:17:40]  So I'm like, okay, that actually makes sense.
[00:17:42]  It's so simple that it has to make sense.
[00:17:45]  I tend to like simple stories.
[00:17:48]  They feel true.
[00:17:49]  And he's like, just go see it.
[00:17:52]  Just go see it.
[00:17:53]  It's at Rudy's lawyer's house in Long Island.
[00:17:56]  And he was like, if you're not interested after that, then whatever.
[00:17:59]  It's fine.
[00:17:59]  So this is at the time, because I remember when it first came out.
[00:18:03]  I love Rudy Giuliani.
[00:18:04]  But this was coming out at the time.
[00:18:06]  Remember he did that?
[00:18:07]  Awful press conference where he was sweating.
[00:18:10]  Yeah, yeah.
[00:18:10]  It was just so bad.
[00:18:11]  Yeah.
[00:18:11]  And he had damaged his credibility so much.
[00:18:15]  Yes.
[00:18:15]  That you were like, I like Rudy, but I don't know what I can trust.
[00:18:19]  Were you there on that?
[00:18:20]  Yeah.
[00:18:21]  Well, so the press conference that you're referring to was after the election.
[00:18:24]  So this was right a few months before, but obviously, same kind of vibe.
[00:18:28]  You know, and listen, like, I mean, I see Rudy and still see and still do maybe more so as a patriot.
[00:18:34]  I do too.
[00:18:35]  I do too.
[00:18:36]  And somebody who wants the best for this country and will fight for this country and will give up everything for this country, actually.
[00:18:41]  Yes.
[00:18:41]  Which he has and he's proven.
[00:18:44]  But he's also Trump's lawyer.
[00:18:47]  You know, he is an operative for the campaign.
[00:18:51]  As far as I'm concerned, basically, so is Bannon.
[00:18:53]  I think he would probably say that himself.
[00:18:56]  I don't think that that's controversial.
[00:18:58]  And I am a conservative, obviously, a very openly conservative.
[00:19:02]  My last job before the Post was Hannity.
[00:19:04]  My job after the Post was Breitbart.
[00:19:06]  You know, but at the same time, my capacity as an editor is to relay the truth as closely as I can, not to campaign for Trump.
[00:19:14]  So as much as I. Like Trump, and I wanted the story to be true.
[00:19:18]  I was obviously skeptical of the source because I could agree with them.
[00:19:23]  It doesn't mean that I could just put out whatever.
[00:19:25]  Right.
[00:19:26]  So that was my concern.
[00:19:27]  And I, you know, I would have, if that laptop would have come to me, the first thing I would have said to my staff is run this down every possible way because this falling, this much of a gift falling into our laps and then just be handed to us sounds like a way for the other side to shut us down and destroy all of our credibility.
[00:19:51]  Oh, 100%.
[00:19:51]  I mean, right now I'm sitting in front of you like six years later and I'm eight months pregnant at the The time I didn't look like this, I didn't sound like this.
[00:20:02]  You know, I was 27, I wasn't married.
[00:20:05]  Um, I just like was in New York, like in journalism, like moving fast and breaking things.
[00:20:11]  Yeah.
[00:20:12]  Um, and I obviously had it cross my mind, like, and I'm sure this is partly true.
[00:20:17]  Again, I'm sure if you called up Bannon and asked him, What did you think of the profile of the person that you were offering this to?
[00:20:22]  He would say, This is someone who's going to run it.
[00:20:25]  You know, it's like just right.
[00:20:26]  I was interested in taking risks in a way that you know, another editor wouldn't have been, or maybe I myself wouldn't have been today, right.
[00:20:34]  Um, And, you know, like I told you last night, you were like, how did you know that it was all real?
[00:20:41]  And I was like, I don't think I can have a way to know that.
[00:20:45]  You know, what I knew was what I was reporting was real.
[00:20:48]  And that was enough.
[00:20:49]  And that was enough for our editors.
[00:20:50]  And that was enough, you know, I think that's what you were reporting were things on the laptop are real.
[00:20:57]  You weren't saying the laptop is 100% real.
[00:20:59]  Well, this is like, how could I confirm something that has been through a chain of custody?
[00:21:04]  What I can confirm is what I'm reporting.
[00:21:06]  The way that I did that was, and we're fast forwarding through the story, but it's good to get to the end.
[00:21:14]  I had to go through this thing.
[00:21:16]  It's like thousands of documents.
[00:21:18]  And I had to find, first of all, what the angle is.
[00:21:20]  What's the story?
[00:21:21]  I remember I called my boss, my editor in chief, Michelle Gotthelf, no longer at the Post, but a legendary person.
[00:21:27]  And I was like, I don't know how to make sense of all of this.
[00:21:31]  It's too much.
[00:21:32]  It's too high volume.
[00:21:34]  My brain is glitching.
[00:21:35]  I don't know what to think.
[00:21:36]  And she's like, well, listen, we know that Hunter Biden is a consultant, we know he's sketchy.
[00:21:41]  She was like, that's been reported.
[00:21:42]  She was like, Joe Biden's the one running for president.
[00:21:44]  Like, find me where Joe Biden comes into this if he does.
[00:21:48]  And that was when it clicked.
[00:21:50]  It's like, oh, yeah, duh.
[00:21:51]  Like, this is about Joe Biden.
[00:21:52]  This isn't even about Hunter.
[00:21:53]  Why do I even care about Hunter?
[00:21:55]  And then I just started kind of going through it and we found, you know, it couldn't have been more than 10 documents that were relevant to that.
[00:22:03]  And then you go from having to verify a hard drive that has been through a chain of custody that you believe or don't believe.
[00:22:11]  It doesn't matter.
[00:22:12]  It's.
[00:22:13]  Are these documents real?
