The Glenn Beck Program - Chaos in DC: Afghan National Allegedly Shoots Two National Guard Members Near the White House | 11/28/25 Aired: 2025-11-28 Duration: 02:02:13 === Breaking News Before Thanksgiving (12:00) === [00:00:49] The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. [00:00:53] This is the Glenn Beck Program. [00:01:01] Yes, it is breaking news and not the kind that anyone wants to hear, particularly right before Thanksgiving dinner. [00:01:10] Two National Guard members shot near the White House in the middle of the day, a suspect in custody, and questions piling up faster than that stuffing on your table. [00:01:21] I'll walk you through what we know and what we don't and why this moment feels different, especially in light of the recent news in the past weeks, months. [00:01:35] In fact, this last year. [00:01:38] it's justin barkley and for glenn today this is the glenn beck program with the war in ukraine we've heard about a lot of people in both countries who are living through the nightmare of war but there are also elderly jewish people who are also trapped in this conflict facing unbearable poverty [00:02:08] Galena is a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor who has spent her life in the same village. [00:02:13] She's sick, she's alone, and it's bitter cold. [00:02:16] And today, like every day, she has to decide whether to spend what little money she has on food or medication or heating. [00:02:22] The Bible tells us when you bless elderly Jews living in poverty like Galena, you'll receive blessings in return. [00:02:28] Through the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and your generous donation, you can bring hope to the people in need. [00:02:34] Your gift of just $25 will help provide a food box packed full of life-saving essentials that will help feed an elderly person struggling to survive. [00:02:42] Don't delay. [00:02:43] Your gift today will help provide the life-saving food and hope that Galena and many like her desperately need. [00:02:47] To rush your gift, call 888-488-IFCJ. [00:02:50] That's 888-488-4325 or give online at glenforthefellowship.org. [00:02:56] That's glennforthefellowship.org. [00:02:58] You know, selfishly, I'm sitting down trying to turn everything off and just enjoy some time with family over the last day or so. [00:03:14] And the phone starts going crazy. [00:03:16] And I start seeing the same things. [00:03:18] I'm sure many of you have seen too. [00:03:22] And then it hits me. [00:03:25] I mean, you think about what it's like for us, as we're used to be. [00:03:32] You could do a fill-in shift for Glenn or for anybody at this time of year. [00:03:37] And it would be a lot of talk about, hey, Black Friday sales. [00:03:42] Did you get enough turkey? [00:03:43] Did you eat too much? [00:03:44] All of these kind of inconsequential, slow, sort of boring things to talk about. [00:03:51] And I, well, I yearn for those times. [00:03:57] It's a different day in America. [00:03:59] It's a different day today, and I think we have to realize why that is and what is what's at stake. [00:04:09] So as I mentioned, it's Justin Barkley. [00:04:11] I'm filling in for Glenn on what I like to call Beck Friday on Black Friday. [00:04:17] I had the pleasure and the honor of doing this the last several years, and we get great conversations going. [00:04:24] In fact, maybe give a chance to join in today. [00:04:27] Love to hear from you because I'd like to kind of hear where you're at, what you're feeling, the pulse of what you're thinking today. [00:04:36] For me, I said, you know, selfishly, for me, as I'm sitting down thinking about just wanting to turn things off a little bit and have some time with family, kind of having an idea of what we want to talk about today and where we want to go. [00:04:48] But then you have this breaking news, and I can't think, I can't even bring myself to bear to think about what it was like for the families of these two Guard members. [00:05:03] You know, this news hits us in our gut, and I can imagine what it feels like to be on the other side of this. [00:05:09] I can't even imagine what they're going through. [00:05:11] One of those members is dead today. [00:05:16] One of those members will never come home. [00:05:18] Not just this Thanksgiving, but will never, will never come home for Thanksgiving, for Christmas. [00:05:26] Her name was Sarah Beckstrom. [00:05:29] And she and the other member who was brutally assassinated, that's what this really was, a brutal assassination, this attack that took place in broad daylight, point blank with a man who we're learning even more and more about. [00:05:47] There's lots that people don't want you to know about this man, but we'll try and bring you as much of that as we can today as he went on this rampage attacking both of them and shouting Allah Akbar at the same time. [00:06:04] Sarah Bextrom was 20. [00:06:08] She had, along with the other guard member, just taken the oath there in and sworn in, I guess, in Washington. [00:06:20] And her story in the pictures and how young she was and how much life she had left ahead of her. [00:06:25] It's just, it's incredible. [00:06:28] It's heartbreaking and on a scale that I can't, again, I can't even imagine. [00:06:36] Just steps from the White House. [00:06:43] This takes place in a moment where the nation is on edge. [00:06:47] And boy, are we, like more than ever. [00:06:52] Every moment, it does seem like we're walking on eggshells. [00:06:55] Every moment there's something new. [00:06:57] You're just waiting for the next shoe to drop, right? [00:07:04] Just days ago, we had the story of the seditious six. [00:07:09] These are the congressmen and women. [00:07:12] One of them from my great state of Michigan. [00:07:15] I'm coming to you today from Wood Radio, W-O-O-D, in Grand Rapids, a radio station over 100 years old and celebrated serving this community. [00:07:26] I'm grateful to be able to do it. [00:07:30] But in our state, we're represented by a senator named Alyssa Slockin. [00:07:34] She was one that really led the charge almost in the making of this video, the manufacturing of this video. [00:07:43] Now, who's behind it? [00:07:46] That's even more as we dig a little bit deeper into this story and why it all connects and why things just feel a little different right now. [00:07:58] But she was proudly proclaiming the other day that, you know, there's some orders you may not want to follow. [00:08:08] You may find them illegal. [00:08:11] In fact, one of her colleagues in the same video say you must not follow these orders. [00:08:17] Rhetoric from the last months out of the folks on the left, Democrats, the media, but I repeat myself saying the same thing over and over again. [00:08:26] You know, Trump is a fascist. [00:08:29] Republicans, conservatives are Nazis. [00:08:33] And the folks in the National Guard, they are like the Gestapo. [00:08:45] Here she was just a couple of days ago on ABC's This Week claiming the National Guard was going to start shooting civilians any day. [00:08:56] Look at these videos coming out of places like Chicago. [00:08:59] It makes me incredibly nervous that we're about to see people in law enforcement, people in uniformed military get nervous, get stressed, shoot at American civilians. [00:09:09] It is very, a very, very stressful situation for these law enforcement and for the communities on the ground. [00:09:16] So it was basically a warning to say, like, if you're asked to do something, particularly against American citizens. [00:09:22] That's not what it was. [00:09:23] In fact, we know that. [00:09:25] We know the whole thing was scripted. [00:09:27] We now know who might actually be behind it. [00:09:31] In fact, there are some details that we've got to sift through a little bit later on today. [00:09:38] And in fact, this hour of the program that will shine some light on this. [00:09:45] But I don't think, you know, you can't ignore these things. [00:09:49] In fact, you don't have to be going back with the chalkboard and the crystal ball now to be able to see through what's happening. [00:09:58] It's so obvious. [00:09:59] It's happening right in front of our face. [00:10:07] And you see stuff like this and it's kind of hard, you know. [00:10:12] It's kind of hard to go about your daily in the business of doing what it is that we need to do, but we must. [00:10:21] So I think part of our mission today is to try and figure out how to walk that line as we are faced with the reality, again, that the country is changing and it has probably already changed, in fact. [00:10:31] I mean, it really has in ways that we've got to be honest with ourselves about. [00:10:39] There's no sticking your hat in the sand like an ostrich. [00:10:42] There's no just trying to pretend like this didn't happen. [00:10:50] So we've got to face it. [00:10:53] We've got to come to grips with what is really going on. [00:10:55] And we've got to also make sure that we do our best to continue to do what matters most, to talk about what matters most, to fight for what matters most. [00:11:11] And in some ways, still try to carry out lots of the things that make us who we are, the traditions, the things that are some of the most important. [00:11:22] I think maybe getting together yesterday with family, maybe getting together and having conversations is what we needed more than anything. [00:11:34] I don't know how they went for you, but for our family, they went well. [00:11:40] There was no incident where people were yelling at each other or calling each other names or whatnot at our table. [00:11:46] Now, I don't know what that was like for you. [00:11:51] But in an America where things are seemingly more divided, I say seemingly because it feels that way. [00:12:00] You get around the dinner table and you get in person and it's a little different, isn't it? [00:12:09] Makes you wonder. [00:12:10] I mean, the things that happen on social media, and you know, I'm not some massive presence online, but I've got a decent footprint. [00:12:19] And what I see coming in on a daily basis, it doesn't even shock me anymore, but I see lots of divisive rhetoric and comments and things from people that, yeah, I think being behind the keyboard and not in person gives them the courage of a keyboard cowboy that most don't have when they do come face to face. [00:12:40] But I also think we're being influenced. [00:12:43] I think there's a lot of foreign actors that want nothing more than to sow the division and tear this country apart. === The Keyboard Cowboy Effect (02:19) === [00:12:50] And boy, when you break it all down, it goes even to a much deeper level. [00:12:57] Well, that's what we're going to try and do today is dig into the root of all of it. [00:13:02] We'll have more on this story out of Washington, D.C. [00:13:06] And of course, as the family of Sarah Beckstrom deserves our prayers at a moment like this for the peace and comfort that only the Lord can give them. [00:13:23] We also pray for the family of the guardman that is continuing to recover. [00:13:29] And there is some good news. [00:13:30] In fact, I've got, this was from just this morning on a release on this coming up in just a moment. [00:13:36] But first, we'll take a quick break back after this on the Glenn Beck program. [00:13:43] There's always somebody on my list that is impossible to shop for. [00:13:46] Tanya is a given. [00:13:48] What do you get for your wife that really is perfect and special in every way? [00:13:52] Something that you know she'll just love. [00:13:53] I have no idea. [00:13:55] She is impossible for me to buy for. [00:13:57] Unless I shop at Cozy Earth. [00:14:01] The bamboo pajama set, she wears them every night. [00:14:04] She loves them. [00:14:04] They're made from soft, stretch-knit bamboo that drapes and sleeps degrees cooler than cotton. [00:14:10] She's always cold. [00:14:11] It's warm for her. [00:14:13] It's lightweight. [00:14:13] It's cozy. [00:14:14] It's perfect for the holiday mornings or winter nights. [00:14:17] Plus, the Cozy Earth bubble cuddle blanket is also something. [00:14:21] I just got her one of those. [00:14:22] Oh my gosh, she loves it. [00:14:24] If you don't know what to get your wife, start with comfort that lasts beyond the holidays. [00:14:28] This weekend only from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday. [00:14:32] Get 40% off at cozyearth.com with the promo code Beck. [00:14:36] That's promo code Beck, 40% off. [00:14:38] Wrap the ones you love in luxury with CozyEarth.com with the promo code BECK. [00:14:55] Barkley and for BECK today on the Glenn Beck program. [00:14:58] And we're going to give you a chance to join in here momentarily. [00:15:00] But first, I wanted to give you this news. [00:15:02] So we have Sarah Beckstrom, who was just sworn in serving in Washington, D.C., that Guards member from West Virginia. === Pointing the Finger of Accountability (05:31) === [00:15:10] And the second injured in this situation was Andrew Wolf. [00:15:14] Now, just this morning, in fact, and he's 24, she's 20, he's 24. [00:15:20] He's still fighting for his life. [00:15:22] We got word going on nearly two days now, shout by this individual President Trump calls an animal. [00:15:30] Pray for a miracle, they say, online. [00:15:32] This is Janine Pirro this morning talking about it and giving us a little bit of an update. [00:15:39] The other guardsmen, of course, we still have hope. [00:15:43] He's still in critical condition. [00:15:46] We are doing everything we can to assist his family and to make sure that they have everything they need during this difficult time for them. [00:15:54] We are all praying for Andrew Wolf, again, a 24-year-old taken by total surprise by an individual who made the decision to take a life on Thanksgiving Eve. [00:16:06] He did not have that right, and the United States government will prove that. [00:16:11] The other guards. [00:16:12] So I don't know how much I want to get into this now, but at some point we're going to have to get into the background of this individual and exactly who he was, how he got here. [00:16:28] And part of this is you got to make sure you shine a light on him and the situation. [00:16:34] I don't like to shine a light on the name of the individual. [00:16:38] I don't like to give people any more credit, but we've got to make sure that we surely point the finger of accountability here. [00:16:47] This individual should have never been here. [00:16:51] So he was brought in from Afghanistan under the Biden regime. [00:16:59] And this happened, in fact. [00:17:03] President Trump made a really interesting point about this the other night. [00:17:07] And he was doing that kind of press conference news moment. [00:17:13] And he shows, in fact, shows, he loves to have visual aids, but he shows a picture of one of these airplanes that was loaded up with folks, packed to the gills. [00:17:28] Giving a little bit of the details on this, in fact, and part of this moment, he took a reporter. [00:17:36] I mean, he took this reporter to task. [00:17:39] It was fantastic that. [00:17:41] But first, here's what he says about the individual. [00:17:44] As you may know, DHS has confirmed that the suspect is an Afghan national flown here by the previous administration, who was such a bad administration. [00:17:56] And I have a picture of a plane. [00:18:01] This is what it looked like when they came in. [00:18:02] It was total bedlam. [00:18:04] Do you remember that period of time? [00:18:05] Total bedlam. [00:18:07] People crammed onto the plane. [00:18:10] And the toughest, meanest, most capable physically got on the plane. [00:18:16] Not the people that we were looking for or that they wanted to bring in. [00:18:20] Here's a picture for you. [00:18:21] Just take a look at that plane standing on top of each other and sitting on top of each other. [00:18:26] This is what we had under the Biden administration. [00:18:29] That whole thing should have never, ever happened. [00:18:32] They should have left from a different base. [00:18:35] They should have left from Bagram, as you know, and it would have been a much different story. [00:18:42] But they didn't do that. [00:18:44] And this was just a rout, just a terrible situation. [00:18:48] This heinous atrocity reminds us that we have no greater national security priority than ensuring that we have full control over the people that enter and remain in our country. [00:19:02] For the most part, we don't want them. [00:19:04] They come in illegally. [00:19:07] They have a lot of problems. [00:19:08] Their countries force them in because their countries are smart. [00:19:11] They don't want them. [00:19:12] Let's give them to the Americans to take care of them. [00:19:14] They come out of jails in many cases. [00:19:17] Mental institutions. [00:19:18] They're gang members. [00:19:19] They're drug dealers. [00:19:21] We don't want them. [00:19:25] Here's the moment that I think had everybody, everybody on edge. [00:19:30] But gosh, in moments like this, you've got to have somebody. [00:19:36] You can argue about how he says it, but you've got to have somebody that will lay down the law. [00:19:42] And a reporter asks just incredibly ridiculous question. [00:19:47] The president lets him have. [00:19:48] Why do you blame the Biden administration? [00:19:50] Because they let him in. [00:19:51] She said, why do you blame the Biden administration for this? [00:19:54] Are you stupid? [00:19:55] Are you a stupid person? [00:19:57] Because they came into on a plane along with thousands of other people that shouldn't be here. [00:20:03] And you're just asking questions because you're a stupid person. [00:20:06] And there's a law passed that it's almost impossible not to get them out. [00:20:11] You can't get them out once they come in. [00:20:14] And they came in and they were unvetted. [00:20:16] They were unchecked. [00:20:17] There were many of them. [00:20:18] And they came in on big planes. [00:20:20] And it was disgraceful. [00:20:22] And if you look, you'll see there was a law pass. [00:20:25] It makes it almost impossible not to let them in, not to certify them, so to speak, once they come in. [00:20:32] And they came in and they shouldn't have come in. [00:20:34] And frankly, the whole thing was a mess. [00:20:36] The whole Afghanistan situation was a mess. [00:20:40] It should have never taken place. === The Afghanistan Mess (06:32) === [00:20:42] If we're going to go out and we would have gone out because I had everybody ready to go, we were going to go out with strength and dignity and precisely. [00:20:48] So I've got to tell me to cut the president off, but we're getting close to break here. [00:20:51] And I got to make this point. [00:20:54] We want more information about who the guy is and why all of this happened. [00:20:57] But I'm going to, if I can, we'll give you details on that coming out within the hour. [00:21:02] But also, I want to, if I can, just make this point, because this, I think, in the thumbnail is the issue. [00:21:09] You know, a lot of us, when the president won, you may be even one of these folks, a lot of us just celebrated. [00:21:17] We were excited. [00:21:18] We couldn't believe it. [00:21:18] We almost felt like, I know, I certainly did, like our nation was spared. [00:21:25] You know, we celebrated what a miraculous moment, especially that millimeter miracle where he was spared in his life. [00:21:33] He's shot. [00:21:34] And we thought we, well, this is it. [00:21:35] We've won. [00:21:36] God's turned everything around. [00:21:38] You know, that is true, but it's not completely over. [00:21:44] In fact, there's more. [00:21:46] This is Glenn Beck. [00:21:50] Holiday time is high crime season, but not all crime should be addressed the same way. [00:21:55] According to a 2022 FBI stat, firearms are necessary less than 1% of the time. [00:22:00] Burna covers the other 99% of altercations with the firepower that is necessary to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes. [00:22:09] So next time you think you need lethal force, think of Burna. [00:22:12] Start with Burna, BYRNA. [00:22:15] I carry one myself. [00:22:16] I recommend every family concerned about safety should have a Burna launcher. [00:22:20] The new Burna Compact is the world's smallest, less lethal pistol, concealable anywhere. [00:22:25] It fires powerful kinetic and tear gas rounds that can stop an attacker cold for up to 40 minutes. [00:22:29] With 60 feet of range, you can confidently and effectively de-escalate a situation without the use of lethal force. [00:22:36] No background checks, legal in all 50 states, ships straight to your door. [00:22:40] And Burna is approved by the pros, trusted by hundreds of law enforcement agencies. [00:22:44] Visit Burna, BYRNA.com and find the right launcher for your family. [00:22:48] BYRNA.com. [00:22:49] That's Burna.com. [00:22:51] You and your family deserve the truth. [00:22:54] Get it from Glenn free at glennbeck.com. [00:23:24] I mean, we're seeing things in this nation, even though we thought, you know, at the end of the day, the election of President Trump might save us all. [00:23:34] Some of us had a little bit more skepticism about that. [00:23:37] The end of the day, you got to know exactly what we're up against. [00:23:40] And by the way, all the things they've been doing, not just in the last four years, but I'm talking about for decades, didn't stop. [00:23:48] They didn't come to a screeching halt the minute he got elected. [00:23:51] We continue to have to fight against those things. [00:23:53] And how you do that, really, the only way is to know exactly what you're up against. [00:23:58] As we watch the things that have really transpired over the last week or two, particularly with the seditious six congress members coming out and telling folks in the military intelligence community, you don't have to obey those orders. [00:24:13] Those are illegal orders. [00:24:15] And in fact, they went a little further. [00:24:18] It wasn't just you don't have to. [00:24:21] It's, you know, if you do, Trump's not going to be president forever. [00:24:27] And we'll have a bit of a bit of accountability when we get back in charge. [00:24:37] Sort of a promise they made. [00:24:40] We're finding out more about this entire operation. [00:24:44] And it is. [00:24:44] It's slick. [00:24:45] The messaging's all well, it's all planned. [00:24:50] It all works together, scripted. [00:24:53] In fact, we heard Galago from Arizona, the senator the other day on CNN, admit that he didn't get to cut his portion because I don't think he got the script in time, is what he said. [00:25:06] You see, this is how it works. [00:25:08] It's well funded. [00:25:09] It's well thought out, and it's planned thoroughly. [00:25:13] Justin Barkley in for Glenn Today on the Glenn Beck program. [00:25:16] Our next guest is going to walk us through that, exactly what we're up against and why we've got to face it. [00:25:23] Folks, if you want to really want to save this country, if you want to make it so that your grandkids and your kids and their grandkids have a chance to grow up in a place that you remember and maybe even better, [00:25:42] boy, you got to make sure that you take the steps to recognize what's going on, get educated on it, and then form that plan together as we fight back. [00:25:54] James Simpson's with us right now. [00:25:56] He's written the book on this whole thing. [00:25:58] In fact, he's an author. [00:25:59] He's an investigative journalist. [00:26:00] His bombshell expose is out right now on the destructive Cloward and Piven strategy Glenn's been talking about for years. [00:26:08] He explains all about how the Biden-Harris administration employed it before our very eyes. [00:26:13] And what we're watching really play out in front of us today. [00:26:16] This is the chickens coming home to roost. [00:26:18] Manufactured crisis is the name of the book, The War to End America. [00:26:21] James, appreciate you being here with us today. [00:26:24] Yeah. [00:26:24] Hey, Justin. [00:26:25] Great to be with you this morning. [00:26:27] You know, you've talked about this at length for some time. [00:26:30] I know Glenn's talked about with you in the past before. [00:26:33] This is something that I guess a lot of us sort of were lulled to sleep in some ways as the president got re-elected. [00:26:41] And we thought, okay, good, everything's going to change. [00:26:44] But there's still a lot of this that's happening. [00:26:46] In fact, it's hard to stop a train or a big ship that's even a tractor trailer headed down the road. [00:26:57] We've had that. [00:26:57] It's been coming at us for a long time, a head-on collision. [00:27:01] And to be able to put the brakes on something like this, we really have to understand it. [00:27:05] So can you walk us through specifically what we're facing, what we're up against, and particularly with the last week's events? === Why Color Revolutions Are Not Genuine (03:48) === [00:27:15] Yeah, well, you know, it's been called a color revolution similar to what happened in the post-Soviet Russian states like Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan and others. [00:27:30] But it's really not a color revolution. [00:27:32] Our color revolutions were nonviolent, and I think I'm skeptical that they're actually genuine changes. [00:27:44] They were apparent changes, but without any real change because those governments remain as corrupt as they were before and probably underground there, just as communist as they were before. [00:28:05] But what we're facing really here today is much more like the Bolshevik Resolution in 1917. [00:28:14] when the Bolsheviks, a very tiny party, you know, Bolshevik was defined as the majority, and the Mensheviks, who were the socialists, who were less radical, were declared the minority, and that was by Vladimir Lenin when in a early 1900s meeting, all the Mensheviks who were disgusted with what Lenin was talking about, [00:28:44] they wanted to do, when the Mensheviks walked out, he declared, we're the majority. [00:28:52] And they weren't the majority at all, but it's a violent revolution. [00:28:58] It is not a nonviolent revolution in any sense of the word. [00:29:02] And it has been, you know, they've been working away at it, whittling away at it for about 100 years. [00:29:10] And, you know, it started with the, well, actually started before the Frankfurt School, but it really gained a lot of momentum when all of these scholars from the Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt, [00:29:29] Germany were transferred to the United States in 1933 after Hitler came to power because most of the college professors of this so-called Institute for Social Research, who were all communists, and many of them were actually Soviet agents who were working undercover with that pretext as a reason for them to be there. [00:29:59] And many of them were Jewish, so they had two strikes against them, and they were resettled into the United States in 1933 at Columbia Teachers College, where they proceeded to instruct the majority of future teachers, college professors, and administrators throughout the United States with their poisonous ideology, [00:30:25] which we've come to know as cultural Marxism, but they called it critical theory. [00:30:32] And critical theory criticizes everything about Western society, top to bottom. [00:30:39] And then the subsequent critical theories like critical race theory and critical legal theory and critical women's studies. [00:30:48] There's dozens of them just split it into smaller pieces so that subsequent segments of society could be divided and turned against each other. === Divide and Conquer Society (05:39) === [00:31:03] And the whole idea is to create so much chaos and so many crises that we just basically go off the rails and it launches a civil war that they hope will give them the pretext, [00:31:23] if they're in power at the time, for declaring martial law and then clamping down on all of us, taking away our Second Amendment rights, seizing all our firearms, seizing our property, seizing our Resources and turning this country into a Soviet-style state. [00:31:48] And that's really what has been going on. [00:31:51] And James, can I ask you? [00:31:54] Can I hate to interrupt you, but I got to ask you, how close are we to that? [00:31:58] Knowing what you know based on the past, lining it up with where we are now, how close are we to that? [00:32:04] Because it definitely feels like we're being pushed in that direction. [00:32:07] Oh, yeah, no, we are definitely being pushed in that direction, and we have been. [00:32:14] And, you know, it's a combination of two things. [00:32:18] One, you know, after four years of Biden's fraudulent administration, you know, they really, that momentum really gained strength. [00:32:33] And those people were given a free reign. [00:32:37] And, you know, just one simple example is this latest case where now the female National Guardsman in Washington, D.C., we learned this morning that she died. [00:32:52] She had been shot in the head, so her father said it was a mortal wound and she wasn't going to make it. [00:32:58] And the other National Guardsman who was shot is fighting for his life. [00:33:03] You know, that's just one tiny example of the kind of chaos that the Biden regime deliberately created by basically letting anybody and everybody into this country. [00:33:21] They did not vet the Afghan veterans who, many of whom deserved to get what they call a special immigrant visa to come to the United States because they had helped the United States and were in threat for their lives if they stayed. [00:33:37] You know, Biden let anybody in, but he blocked a lot of those people from coming in. [00:33:43] And it was deliberate. [00:33:44] It's like that administration took anybody who was our friend. [00:33:53] And if you were our friend, you were their enemy. [00:33:56] And so you were going to get punished for it. [00:33:59] And it is the most vicious and vindictive administration in the United States history. [00:34:07] I think they're all a bunch of traitors right up to it, including Joe Biden. [00:34:14] And they should all be paying for it heavily. [00:34:18] So there's two things. [00:34:20] First, they have that momentum, and they had already gotten a green light from many local governments to go and riot, like in Portland, Oregon, and many other places, Seattle, Washington. [00:34:36] And I feel like they have the momentum on their side. [00:34:41] And then at the same time, now we have Trump getting elected and America finally waking up and seeing that they can say, no, we've had enough. [00:34:52] We don't want this anymore. [00:34:54] It was kind of like it never dawned on anybody before that we didn't have to let up with this garbage. [00:35:00] And so at the same time that they have this momentum, they're also threatened very directly by the fact that they may be stopped and not only stopped, but arrested, sent to jail, fined, and everything else. [00:35:20] And so they're desperate at the same time. [00:35:24] So they're being even more violent and more dangerous than they were before. [00:35:32] And, you know, this Afghan national, he had worked with the special forces, and one of his best friends had been denied this immigrant visa and was subsequently murdered by the Taliban. [00:35:50] So he was off the rails about that. [00:35:53] Although it's hard to know because so many of the Afghans that we worked with turned against our own soldiers who under the Obama administration were not allowed to carry loaded weapons. [00:36:06] You know, it's an insane thing. [00:36:08] So they were basically just sitting ducks for those Afghans that decided that they didn't like America and they just started shooting them. [00:36:18] And so that entire episode of that disastrous pullout, which I think was deliberately disastrous, it created chaos from that one aspect, but that was just one of so many others. === The Chaos of Afghanistan (15:20) === [00:36:43] And there are so many things we have to think about and realize today. [00:36:48] And the most important thing is the upcoming midterm elections. [00:36:53] We must. [00:36:55] Yeah, let me stop you right there because I think you're going to make a critical point, but we got to take a break. [00:37:00] You're talking about the midterms. [00:37:02] It's so important. [00:37:03] People need to hear this. [00:37:04] But I also want to find out from you, what do you think the solution to all this is? [00:37:08] As you lay out what's been happening, and this has been in the making for decades now, but how do we stop it? [00:37:16] Obviously, the first step is letting people know what's really going on. [00:37:20] And that's part of this, getting this word out, the education piece. [00:37:23] If you want to really dig into this, manufactured crisis is the name of the book. [00:37:26] James Simpson will tell you where to get it and talk more about that. [00:37:29] First quick break. [00:37:30] We're back after this. [00:37:31] Justin Barkley in for Glenn Beck today on the Glenn Beck program. [00:37:35] Here's a friendly tip. [00:39:10] We've been hearing from our author guest, James Simpson, about crisis, manufacturing crisis, the war to end America. [00:39:16] Just talking about how to put a stop to all the things that we're seeing. [00:39:20] And one of the biggest points he just made was the midterms are coming up and maybe the most critical. [00:39:26] We don't have a lot of time here, but make your point, James. [00:39:28] This is big. [00:39:30] Yeah, no, so absolutely. [00:39:34] The Republicans have not been doing nearly enough to assure that the midterms are won at the state level and the federal level, especially in U.S. Congress, because of the Democrats regain control of Congress and Trump is just going to spend the next two years fighting impeachment and everything else. [00:39:56] We absolutely have to win that election. [00:39:59] And the people who are behind all this, they need to be demonetized, and many of them need to be arrested. [00:40:07] We need to take serious action or we'll change our country. [00:40:11] I appreciate it. [00:40:12] I know you're passionate about it, folks. [00:40:14] Got to read the book, Manufactured Crisis, The War to End America with James Simpson. [00:40:19] Appreciate you doing your best to wake folks up. [00:41:42] This is the Glenn Beck Program. [00:41:49] There is an international investigation going on as we speak. [00:41:53] Kash Patel, director of the FBI, talking about that. [00:41:55] Sources of the Afghan suspect worked in the CIA. [00:42:00] Zero units. [00:42:02] Latest on those developments on this story that continues to break with pieces and myths coming out as we speak. [00:42:09] Justin Barkley in for Glenn today. [00:42:11] Oh, and by the way, you're going to see more and more of this. [00:42:14] Little cracks is always how this happens. [00:42:16] Little cracks, little pieces here and there. [00:42:19] Debbie Wasserman Schultz out on CNN just moments ago, I guess, blaming Trump for the guard members being shot and one of them dead. [00:42:30] You're going to see more and more of that. [00:42:31] That's always where it lands. [00:42:32] Blaming Trump. [00:42:34] Well, he gets some credit for some things coming up in just a little bit. [00:42:37] We'll get into that. [00:42:38] What's happening in Nigeria, by the way, it's been going on for a long time now. [00:42:42] You're just only hearing about it recently. [00:42:45] Over the last several decades, a man we know spent some time there in a mission, and he'll give us details about what's happening in Nigeria behind the scenes, not just with the Christians, but the genocide itself and why it matters, why you're hearing about it most recently. [00:43:04] It's all coming up in just moments today. [00:43:08] Again, Justin and for Glenn on the Glenn Beck Program. [00:43:21] Holiday time is high crime season. [00:43:24] Not all crime should be addressed the same way. [00:43:26] According to a 2022 FBI stat, firearms are necessary less than 1% of the time. [00:43:32] Burna covers the other 99% of altercations with the firepower that is necessary to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes. [00:43:40] So next time you think you need lethal force, think of Burna. [00:43:44] Start with Burna, BYRNA. [00:43:46] I carry one myself. [00:43:47] I recommend every family concerned about safety should have a Burna launcher. [00:43:51] The new Burna Compact is the world's smallest, less lethal pistol, concealable anywhere. [00:43:56] It fires powerful kinetic and tear gas rounds that can stop an attacker cold for up to 40 minutes. [00:44:00] With 60 feet of range, you can confidently and effectively de-escalate a situation without the use of lethal force. [00:44:08] No background checks, legal in all 50 states, ships straight to your door. [00:44:11] And Burna is approved by the pros, trusted by hundreds of law enforcement agencies. [00:44:15] Visit Burna, BYRNA.com and find the right launcher for your family. [00:44:19] BYRNA.com. [00:44:20] That's Burna.com. [00:44:27] You've seen a lot of this in the news lately. [00:44:30] And in fact, it's important that it gets covered because there's so much happening. [00:44:37] It's hard to really keep an eye on it all. [00:44:40] And the question is, if it's happening there, how soon before it happens here? [00:44:43] And folks, I guess that's probably one of the reasons why most people say they really ought to pay attention to this. [00:44:51] In Nigeria, the stories that we've been seeing are just incredible lately. [00:44:58] Not unless it's happening in our own backyard. [00:45:00] And even then sometimes it takes some folks really a lot of time before they really start to know what's going on and understand that it is important. [00:45:11] Brad Brandon is a founder and CEO of Across Nigeria. [00:45:14] He wanted to get a glimpse into what really is happening on the ground there for over the two decades. [00:45:21] He served in the ministry there. [00:45:23] He spent 10 years as a drive-time talk host with talk radio connections. [00:45:29] Since then, in 2018, he devoted himself to full-time foreign missions in high risk. [00:45:35] So he'll be able to give us all the details about what's happening there in the heavily persecuted regions there in Nigeria and West Africa. [00:45:43] We appreciate it. [00:45:44] Thank you for taking the time today, Brad. [00:45:46] This is a big story. [00:45:47] We've been talking with you about it previously, and I know even the president's shining some light on it right now. [00:45:54] Want to get down to the truth? [00:45:56] Somebody who's seen it from the ground. [00:45:59] Hey, Justin, good to be on with you. [00:46:02] You too, Brad. [00:46:04] Tell us if you can. [00:46:06] And by the way, you know what? [00:46:08] I'm going to say it. [00:46:09] Happy Thanksgiving. [00:46:10] I think we can still say that. [00:46:13] We can. [00:46:13] Even in these really dark times, in these tough moments, maybe especially it's important. [00:46:18] As a pastor, I'm sure you get this. [00:46:19] It's important for us to maybe talk about those things. [00:46:23] So we'll do it. [00:46:24] What is going on in Nigeria and what's the background on it? [00:46:28] Well, the background is that there's a genocide that's been going on for over 10 years. [00:46:34] We've been working there for about 10 years, and I've seen it grow every single year. [00:46:40] And we've been crying from the mountaintops that this has been going on for all of that time. [00:46:45] And it's only been recently that the media here in the West has started to shine light on what's happening. [00:46:53] But really, what's going on is it's a targeted genocide against Christians. [00:46:59] Most of northern Nigeria is where all of this is happening. [00:47:03] It is northern Nigeria is mostly Muslim, probably about 90% Muslim. [00:47:10] And 12 of the northern Nigeria states are controlled by Sharia law, which is one reason why we here in the United States should care about that. [00:47:19] But you're looking at probably over 50,000 Christians have been killed since 2009. [00:47:24] Last year, of all the Christians that were killed in the entire world that were martyred for their faith, 90% of them were killed in northern Nigeria. [00:47:34] So this is a huge issue. [00:47:36] It's a huge problem that Christians here in the United States should wake up to. [00:47:43] What do you think is going to take that? [00:47:45] And the reason I ask is because, you know, we were just talking about our previous guest here, the past week or so on the horrific attack on the two national government and what's going on, why this is so important, the roots of it. [00:48:01] And then how do we really, you know, how do we fight back? [00:48:04] What are the solutions? [00:48:04] And I think a lot of these things, and by the way, I think you're going to get this too, but like a lot of the stuff, we're looking for answers and solutions in the natural here, unfortunately, that are probably spiritually based more than anything else. [00:48:21] How do we make people care, though? [00:48:23] I mean, how do we make people, when there's so much happening right now, not to dump all this on you, Brad, but you know, people are saying, it's hard for me to put food on the table right now with my family. [00:48:34] And I'm worried about, you know, the economy or whatever it might be. [00:48:37] And I think we're so inundated that these very important topics, we sometimes we miss. [00:48:43] I think one of the things is us here in the United States, and I'm currently in the U.S. headed back to Nigeria in about two weeks. [00:48:50] But here in the United States, we have the greatest country in the entire world. [00:48:56] We have an abundance of everything here in the United States. [00:49:00] Even the poor of us here in the U.S. live like kings compared to the rest of the world. [00:49:06] Northern Nigeria is an area where people live on less than a dollar a day. [00:49:10] And because of inflation, food is actually more expensive there than it is here. [00:49:15] Now, one of the things that scripture teaches me as a pastor and a spiritual leader is to those that are given much, much will be required. [00:49:25] So those of us here in the United States who've been given all of the freedoms, all of the abundance that we have, all the conveniences that we have, each of us have access to our own little audience on social media. [00:49:38] We need to use that to be a voice for people who have no voice and take a stand for people who can't stand for themselves, particularly our brothers and sisters in Christ and those are in northern Nigeria who are suffering under this persecution. [00:49:54] We have to wake up and realize that what's happening in northern Nigeria is just almost like a foreshadow of the things that we see happening here. [00:50:04] I was just telling somebody the other day, Justin, that every time that I come back to the U.S. from Nigeria, the United States is looking more and more like Nigeria every time I come back. [00:50:16] And it all has to really do with radical Islam and corruption and Sharia law, all of these things. [00:50:25] Northern Nigeria is a foreshadow of things that are happening here in the U.S. Wherever radical Islam is given a foothold, this is what happens. [00:50:35] And we're allowing that to enter the United States. [00:50:38] We're allowing radical Islam to have a stronghold here in the United States. [00:50:43] So for those two reasons, one, we've been given so much here in the U.S., and we have a vested interest in this because we see it filtering into our country. [00:50:53] The church in the United States needs to wake up and start doing something about it. [00:50:59] Yeah, I think that's a very good point. [00:51:02] You mentioned this, and I know it's not just Christian persecution there. [00:51:08] This is happening to lots of folks in Nigeria. [00:51:11] But walk us through what you think that looks like. [00:51:16] Sharia law, by the way, that's another big, big buzzword we've been hearing here in America, especially what's happening in Texas and places like Michigan, where I'm at as well. [00:51:26] These are things that are starting to key at the top of folks' consciousness right now. [00:51:32] Yeah, absolutely. [00:51:33] Sharia law, like I said, controls 12 of the northern Nigeria state. [00:51:38] This is a place where if you are a Muslim and you convert to Christianity because you want to leave that brutal system, that is a blasphemy law that is punishable by death under Sharia law. [00:51:51] Women are worth half that of a man under Sharia law. [00:51:56] Children are abused under Sharia law. [00:51:58] These are all things that are happening, openly accepted in the system of Sharia law. === Sharia Law's Brutal Reality (05:47) === [00:52:04] We even see it filtering here in the United States. [00:52:06] Back in 2009, there was a superior court judge who consulted an IMOM to make a decision on a woman who was accusing her husband of abuse. [00:52:17] And because her testimony was worth half that of her husband's, the IMOM under Sharia law told the judge to believe the man over the woman, the man's testimony over the woman. [00:52:29] That superior court judge in New Jersey, of all places, decided to rule against the wife and not give the wife the protection that she needed. [00:52:40] That is Sharia law creeping into our own legal system. [00:52:44] It's happening under the Arbitration Act in the UK. [00:52:48] Under the Arbitration Act in the UK, they are calling for Sharia law to be used as precedent in their legal court decisions. [00:52:58] So it's filtering into the West. [00:52:59] It's filtering here into the United States. [00:53:02] And it is a dangerous system that robs the population of, I'll just say it, human rights. [00:53:10] It is an offense to human rights, Sharia law is. [00:53:14] And if you want to see that on full display, just look in northern Nigeria. [00:53:19] Like you said, it's not just Christians that are being targeted, although it's, I would say, inordinately targeted at Christians. [00:53:28] But Boko Haram and Iswa, that control a lot of the areas that I work in, they will target anybody who doesn't hold their radical beliefs. [00:53:37] They'll kill Muslims. [00:53:38] They'll kill people of any religion that do not hold their radical beliefs. [00:53:42] So it is not just an assault on Christians. [00:53:45] It's an assault on everybody. [00:53:47] Although I will emphasize and say that the persecution and the genocide that's happening in northern Nigeria, it is absolutely targeted toward Christians. [00:53:59] Pastor Brad Brandon, acrossnigeria.org is the organization and the update. [00:54:05] Now, you've seen, and we have, that President Trump, I don't know, I've ever seen such a strong statement coming from the United States, but particularly shining a light on this. [00:54:17] It's just the beginning. [00:54:18] But what needs to happen? [00:54:22] Obviously, there are groups like you that are going in doing work on the ground, but what needs to happen from the support of the United States as a whole and maybe even for folks that are listening? [00:54:33] Well, President Trump was calling for military action. [00:54:36] In fact, he said we'll go in guns blazing. [00:54:38] When I asked what he meant about that, he said airstrikes and possibly boots on the ground. [00:54:43] I welcome that. [00:54:45] We've had presidents, the past two presidents who have been asleep on this issue. [00:54:50] In fact, President Biden, one of the first things he did when he took office was he took Nigeria off the country of particular concern list while thousands of Christians were being slaughtered. [00:55:01] So I welcome any attention that a president is going to give to this issue. [00:55:05] And I think it's a complex issue that's happening in northern Nigeria. [00:55:09] You have groups like ISOA, which is the Islamic State of West Africa, and then you have Boko Haram. [00:55:15] Are terrorist groups that have a radical Muslim ideology, and they will kill anybody who doesn't hold that radical belief. [00:55:24] So, when we're talking about military action or even leveraging the Nigerian government to get involved, let's say they've been asleep on this issue for a long time. [00:55:33] I think military action is what's needed when it comes to groups like Iswa and Boko Haram. [00:55:39] There's also an issue of the Fulani Muslims. [00:55:42] The Fulani Muslims are an ethnic group in northern Nigeria. [00:55:47] Now, there are some Fulani Muslims that are radicalized. [00:55:51] There are some who are militant in their approach, no doubt about that. [00:55:55] But most Fulani Muslims, and that's who I predominantly work with. [00:55:59] We have Fulani Muslim schools that we operate throughout northern Nigeria. [00:56:05] These are peaceful people who just want to provide for their families, and they don't like Boko Haram. [00:56:10] They don't like what these radicals are doing. [00:56:13] And what happens in northern Nigeria, like so many other places, when you're talking about Gaza and in other places around the world, these radicals are experts at embedding themselves in communities of innocent people. [00:56:27] And if you go in with airstrikes and boots on the ground, you're going to have massive collateral damage. [00:56:33] And not only that, but you're going to drive some of those youth in those innocent communities further and you're going to entrench them into the radical ideology of Boko Haram and Iswa. [00:56:45] So I think that there's it's not just one approach, it's not just all guns blazing, it's not just all airstrikes. [00:56:53] There needs to be a combination of that, but there also needs to be a combination of settling some of these socioeconomic issues that are driving a lot of this violence. [00:57:03] The Fulani Muslims in northern Nigeria a lot of times will attack Christian villages just simply because they're running out of grazing ground for their cattle. [00:57:13] Fulani Muslims are cow herders, and Christians in northern Nigeria are predominantly farmers. [00:57:19] Well, when a cow wanders onto those farm, those farm fields and eats a farmer's crop, you get the conflict that happens a lot of times in northern Nigeria. [00:57:28] So it's very complex, but I do applaud the president for what he's said and what he's doing and taking a stand for those Christians in northern Nigeria because so many other presidents have not. [00:57:41] The conversation continues after this. [00:57:43] Brad Brandon, across Nigeria, talking about what's happening, the genocide there and the president's response to it, but also what you can do. === Praying for Northern Nigeria (03:48) === [00:57:52] And the surprising part here is it won't cost you anything. [00:57:55] It might even be the most important coming up next. [00:57:58] Fill you in after that, right on the Glenback program. [00:59:12] Brad Browning with us across Nigeria.org. [00:59:15] And recently, a piece in townhall, townhall.com, where you can go look that up and check out what he's had to say about some of these latest issues and really dig into the conversation, the topic. [00:59:28] Now, Brad, you and I have talked about what people can do. [00:59:31] And obviously, your organization accepts donations and things like that. [00:59:36] We don't want to slight that at all because it's a big part of what you're doing. [00:59:39] But there's something even more important you've mentioned with me when we talked about this before. [00:59:44] And it won't even cost you anything. [00:59:45] And that's to pray. [00:59:48] Yeah. [00:59:49] Yeah, that's what the church needs to be doing right now. [00:59:51] And as a pastor, I look to scripture to guide me. [00:59:55] And in Hebrews 13, it talks about how Paul calls the church, when people are suffering for the name of Jesus Christ, he says that we should bind ourselves as bound with them. [01:00:10] And what he means by that is binding ourselves so closely to those who are suffering for the cause of Christ that it's as though it's happening to us. [01:00:19] So instead of looking at this as something like, oh, that's too bad that that's happening to those Christians over there, the church here in the United States needs to wake up and say, this is happening to our brothers and sisters in Christ. [01:00:32] If they're in pain, I'm in pain. [01:00:33] If they're going through this, I'm going through this. [01:00:36] And that leads to the point that you just made is the church here in the U.S. needs to be on our knees in a concerted effort to be praying and lifting up these Christians in northern Nigeria. [01:00:49] And not just pray for them like in a polite way, like we often say in church, oh, I'll pray for you. [01:00:54] But I mean, a systematic effort here in the United States by the church to pray for these Christians who are suffering, getting on our knees as faith communities, as churches, as Bible studies, as prayer groups, and lifting up these people because they are suffering right now. [01:01:13] And most of the schools in northern Nigeria have been shut down. [01:01:16] So children can't even leave their home to go to school. [01:01:19] Our schools in northern Nigeria have been shut down because of the recent kidnappings that have happened just in the last week and a half. [01:01:26] So this is a time when we need to be fighting this battle through the most powerful weapon that we have. [01:01:32] And that weapon is praying for those Christians who are suffering genocide in northern Nigeria. [01:01:38] I know you've got a big event coming up at the Museum of the Bible. === Praying for Victims of Genocide (12:09) === [01:01:41] If people want to keep in touch with you, find out. [01:01:43] Maybe, in fact, you're going to be in the area. [01:01:45] I'd love to go check out, Brad, or dig into Across Nigeria. [01:01:48] Best way to do that, across Nigeria.org, Brad. [01:01:52] Yeah, that's right. [01:01:52] Go to our website, acrossnigeria.org. [01:01:55] They can learn all about the upcoming events that we have, and they can learn how to pray for us by signing up for our email updates. [01:02:03] And that's the center hub for what we're doing, is our website, across Nigeria.org. [01:02:08] Praying for you. [01:02:08] Thank you for everything you're doing. [01:02:10] And of course, we'll continue to stay in touch. [01:02:13] Brad Brandon, across Nigeria.org. [01:02:16] Thank you, sir. [01:02:16] Coming up next, a chance to dig in. [01:02:18] By the way, I'm still getting the ripple effects of Judge Janine Pierrow on Fox News this morning. [01:02:25] She kind of went nuclear. [01:02:27] We'll share some more from that broadcast coming up and more details that are still on the way from the Blowbeck program. [01:02:35] This is Glenn Beck. [01:04:30] And maybe we'll actually do some of those on the air here in a little bit as well throughout today. [01:04:36] It is Black Friday, or I like to call it Back Friday. [01:04:40] And whether you're out and about or you're just doing all your shopping from home, I think some of that's a lot easier to do. [01:04:46] I can't remember the last time I actually went. [01:04:48] Actually, I don't go in the store much at all for anything anymore. [01:04:51] I probably should, but I just feel like it's a lot easier just to order stuff and pick it up kind of thing. [01:04:58] That's sort of the way I approach things now. [01:05:02] I just don't. [01:05:03] I don't want to be bothered with actually going into the store. [01:05:07] And then, you know, we got little kids. [01:05:09] So you take little kids into the store and they're buying stuff. [01:05:11] And, you know, I can't tell you how many times we've gone into stores where they'd pull stuff off the shelves like candy or something and start ripping into it and opening it and getting into it. [01:05:19] While you're in line, it's like, oh, guess I got to pay for that now. [01:05:25] So no matter where you are today, like I say, love to hear from you. [01:05:28] That's 888727BECK, 888727B. [01:05:36] Give you a chance to weigh in. [01:05:38] Love to hear me. [01:05:38] And as you're doing your shopping, today's a good time to do that. [01:06:06] I've got a couple of videos I got to play for you. [01:06:08] Judge Janine just rips in a new one. [01:06:11] And listen, gone nuclear in ways that I guess we got to celebrate these days, right? [01:06:18] But also, it's already started. [01:06:20] You knew it was a matter of time. [01:06:21] Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democrat radical from Florida, found the way somehow to uncnn to blame Trump for the latest, this horrific attack from the terrorists in D.C. on the National Guard. [01:06:36] We need to make sure that we have tight and appropriate and proper vetting. [01:06:40] If there were gaps that admitted this person, they would have failed over multiple levels of gaps. [01:06:47] And this individual was trusted enough to participate in assisting our military during the war in Afghanistan. [01:06:54] So I just think, you know, the president looks everywhere except inward to blame his own policies. [01:07:02] We need to make sure that we don't have our military deployed in our cities. [01:07:07] We're handling law enforcement responsibilities, and we need to make sure that we address gun violence. [01:07:14] We certainly need to make sure we always have the proper and appropriate and tight vetting processes, and those should be reviewed. [01:07:22] By the way, did you hear that? [01:07:23] Not only did she blame Trump, but she also blamed guns. [01:07:29] In the same breath, she was able to get both of those out. [01:07:31] Yes, it's Trump's fault. [01:07:33] Oh, and we got to blame guns at the same time. [01:07:37] These people, it's shameful. [01:07:39] They'll never admit it, but it's just absolutely shameful. [01:07:43] You're talking about victim shaming. [01:07:46] They also like to talk about victim shaming quite a bit, but this is it. [01:07:51] So you're telling me it's the policies that put these individuals. [01:07:56] In other words, if they never would have been in Washington, D.C. It's Trump's fault. [01:08:03] These people would be alive today. [01:08:04] One of them would be alive today. [01:08:06] But President, it's never the president's fault or his policies when it comes to his reaction. [01:08:12] And it's pretty disgusting. [01:08:14] And what's even more disgusting is that these people will do everything in their power to crowbar and make it his fault when it comes to the most, even the most terrific. [01:08:24] And like I said, it starts slow. [01:08:27] They're going to get the signal any minute now that they're going to push, push, push, push. [01:08:32] And eventually the dam will break and they'll all be pointing the finger at him. [01:08:37] They'll all be doing it. [01:08:38] You've already started to see bits and pieces of it. [01:08:40] We saw it happen early. [01:08:41] This is, I think this just happened early this morning. [01:08:44] Anyway, this was this morning. [01:08:46] Judge Janine attorney, U.S. Attorney Janine Piro, saying now the Afghan shooter, obviously, because of the death of Sarah Bruckman, is going to be charged with first-degree murder. [01:09:02] Are we going to see an escalation in charges? [01:09:06] Oh, there's no question. [01:09:07] First of all, our hearts go out and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of a beautiful 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom who answered the call to serve her nation. [01:09:20] And she volunteered and she ended up being shot ambush style on the cold streets of Washington, D.C. by an individual who will now be charged with murder in the first degree. [01:09:35] There are certainly many more charges to come, but we are upgrading the initial charges of assault to murder in the first degree. [01:09:44] And we are hoping that the more information we can get and the more investigation that is going on 24-7 now, around the clock in Washington, the more we will find out about what actually happened in terms of this individual even being in this country and being in a position to ambush and shoot down an innocent young woman who is doing her duty to the people of this country. [01:10:12] It's unthinkable when you really wrap your head around it. [01:10:17] It really is unthinkable. [01:10:19] So here it is. [01:10:19] This is when she went nuclear, by the way. [01:10:22] There's a couple of really good moments. [01:10:23] By the way, I'm going to put this clip too up. [01:10:26] I post it on social. [01:10:28] I'm everywhere at Mr. Justin Barkley, and I'll post it on my website too when I put my stack up later today, JustinBarkley.com. [01:10:34] Let me say one more thing, and it's not about this case. [01:10:37] It's about vetting in general. [01:10:39] The nonsense that the left gave us with this Operation Welcome Allies. [01:10:44] Look, there was no vetting. [01:10:46] If you think there was vetting, I have a bridge to sell you. [01:10:49] If you saw the chaos that was going on at that airport in Kabul, in Afghanistan, it was typical of what was going on in the Biden administration. [01:11:00] And the Pentagon, I believe it was Kirby and people in the Biden administration said the Afghan withdrawal that we all know was disastrous was a success. [01:11:09] And that's a quote. [01:11:10] They called that a success. [01:11:12] That chaos is not a success. [01:11:14] That is a nightmare. [01:11:16] And 13 American servicemen and women were killed at that airport because the Biden administration couldn't get their facts together and couldn't make a decision regarding the rules of engagement to take down a known suicide bomber. [01:11:31] You know, I know. [01:11:34] I know people, in fact, I know a young man who was there when all of that happened. [01:11:41] And I remember watching that at the time. [01:11:43] I know you, you the same thing. [01:11:45] Anybody with half a brain could see how disastrous that whole thing was playing out and how it was going to play out. [01:11:57] And it was in real time. [01:12:00] It was just horrifying in real time to see what they were doing behind the scenes. [01:12:08] It's just absolute inept. [01:12:12] In fact, you wonder, Otto Penn was like running the whole show, right, behind the scenes. [01:12:18] Autopen. [01:12:20] Auto Penn was the presidency. [01:12:22] You wonder if anybody was even making any of these calls. [01:12:25] I mean, that's the kind of thing you have to think about. [01:12:28] When you use truth, logic, and common sense, you come to these conclusions, and it really makes you wonder. [01:12:37] Unless you pull the curtain back and you realize the playbook is a lot more nefarious than we are led to believe. [01:12:50] In fact, you know, when these people are talking about the system, the system's broken, the system's not working. [01:12:58] No, the system's working exactly how they've designed it to. [01:13:03] You dig in and you look at what Glenn's been talking about for years and Cloud and Pivot and this whole idea of trying to collapse things so that they can replace what was standing with what they have dreamt of for decades. [01:13:18] So in the meantime, they don't care. [01:13:20] Chaos is welcome. [01:13:21] Crisis is welcome. [01:13:23] They want you afraid. [01:13:25] They want you cowering in fear. [01:13:27] They want innocent people dying, unfortunately, because it gets them closer to being able to get to where they really want to go, which is their fundamental transformation, right, of the whole thing. [01:13:45] They've got all the answers. [01:13:46] Just ask them. [01:13:47] They'll tell you. === It Hasn't Worked Anywhere (03:19) === [01:13:50] Don't forget it hasn't worked anywhere they've tried it. [01:13:54] It hasn't worked anywhere they've tried it in the past. [01:13:56] And yet here they are pushing it on us yet again. [01:14:03] Hey, it's the same reason why Mountani was so successful in New York City. [01:14:08] In fact, let's talk about that. [01:14:09] Let me come back. [01:14:10] I want to shine some light on what's going on in New York City and why I know it looks radical to you and me, but I think to most of those folks in New York, it looks like a breath of fresh air. [01:14:25] And why they're welcoming all of that in. [01:14:30] This is the inconvenient, by the way, this is the tough talk, right? [01:14:33] The inconvenient truth that you may not get anywhere else. [01:14:36] We'll do that after this. [01:14:38] In the meantime, jump in the conversation: 888-727-BEC, 888-727-BECK. [01:14:44] Justin Barkley, in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. [01:14:48] Never put your future in another man's saddlebag or your lunch. [01:14:53] You never know where that thing's been. [01:14:55] That sticks. [01:14:56] More Glenn Beck in a Jeff. [01:15:10] Let me talk to you about Legacy Box. [01:16:22] The vetting, again, part of the conversation about what's happening with these folks let in the Biden administration from Afghanistan. [01:16:30] Judge Janine, U.S. Attorney Janine. [01:16:33] About vetting in general. [01:16:34] The nonsense that the left gave us with this Operation Welcome Allies. [01:16:39] Look, there was no vetting. [01:16:41] If you think there was vetting, I have a bridge to sell you. [01:16:44] I love that. [01:16:46] I love that. [01:16:47] We have a flashback. [01:16:48] Can you please permit me? [01:16:52] Jen Saki, can I circle back? [01:16:55] Can I circle back to Jen Saki? [01:16:58] 2021. [01:17:00] Here she is, circled back. [01:17:02] This is what she said. [01:17:03] The White House spokes at the time about those folks coming in from Afghanistan. === No Vetting, Just Trust (15:45) === [01:17:10] We've talked about this a little bit, other stuff as well, but there are, of course, concerns among lawmakers, experts who've tracked this, who's saying previous arrivals of large numbers of refugees from different parts of the world, inevitably there may be a handful, small handful, who are eventually deemed a security risk of some kind. [01:17:28] What reassurances can you make about the screening process and the attempts to make sure that somebody like that doesn't make his or her way here? [01:17:37] I can absolutely assure you that no one is coming into the United States of America who has not been through a thorough screening and background check. [01:17:46] Sure. [01:17:46] And there are many individuals, as you noted, who have not been through that process. [01:17:51] And they have gone to lily pad countries as that process has been completed. [01:17:55] Well, that's what we were told. [01:17:57] And here we have, as Piero points out, you know, we've got one dead guardsman and another in very serious critical condition as we continue to pray announce in New York and all of this insanity with Mom Dami is we were just talking about socialism and how it's failed everywhere. [01:18:18] And so many people, you know, just young people don't get it because they never heard this. [01:18:24] We talked about this in the first hour. [01:18:26] And if you get a chance to go back on the podcast and listen todaylynbeck.com, you'll be able to hear this. [01:18:32] But guest in Arthur Jim Simpson talked about that in his book. [01:18:37] And of course, in that cloud and pivot strategy and this Marxist takeover, what they've been trying to do for decades now is collapse the system. [01:18:47] So this is one of the ways you do it. [01:18:48] You let all these people in and you just don't care what happens. [01:18:52] It's burn it all down. [01:18:53] You don't care either way. [01:18:56] And so that's how bad it gets. [01:18:58] And we were just talking about this earlier, but you know, the bread in the circuses keep people distracted. [01:19:04] But even more so, it's even more effective than bread in circuses, is the other side is when kids are so saddled with debt, they were made to go to school, get indoctrinated with this just garbage being pumped into their veins. [01:19:21] 24-7, they come out brainwashed and with a mountain of debt that they'll never pay off. [01:19:29] Oh, and by the way, when you get out, you'll never be able to get a job in critical underwater basket weaving or whatever it is that you've taken. [01:19:37] You'll never be able to get a job with any of those degrees. [01:19:41] They're not written the paper they're printed on. [01:19:44] On top of that, cost everything has gone through the roof. [01:19:48] And by the way, this is going to be a big point for the midterms. [01:19:53] And one of the things that Republicans folks on the right, Trump, the administration, they need to do is again point out this is the Biden administration issue they created. [01:20:04] You know, it even goes further back than that. [01:20:07] Trump's working to bring those prices down. [01:20:10] Patience, yes, but it's going to be hard. [01:20:13] And this is why socialism sells. [01:20:15] These people never heard about it. [01:20:16] These kids that went to school, you think they heard about socialism with their being taught about America and America's evil? [01:20:23] No. [01:20:24] They never got the truth about it. [01:20:27] They never got the truth about communism. [01:20:29] They never got the truth about what Maldani says he wants to do. [01:20:32] And all of this stuff sounds great. [01:20:34] It really is a shiny new object. [01:20:38] At the end of the day, it's evil because it's killed more people than you can even put a finger on the actual number. [01:20:44] It's just incredible. [01:20:44] Millions upon millions upon millions. [01:20:46] It's never worked. [01:20:49] Well, that's because it's just never been done right. [01:20:51] You know, see, that's the problem. [01:20:53] That's what they'll tell you. [01:20:54] They'll sit in there, theorize, and tell you all day long. [01:20:57] That's the real problem. [01:20:58] No, no, no. [01:21:01] So no wonder these kids are lapping it up. [01:21:04] I don't blame them for that, but we ought to get good at making sure we reach them and messaging that directly talks to them. [01:21:10] That's why they came out and voted en masse for President Trump this last election. [01:21:16] They thought he would help, and he can. [01:21:20] We got to make sure we keep that message in front. [01:21:23] This is Glenn Beck. [01:22:20] Stand your ground when times get tired. [01:22:23] Gotta face the dark and embrace the fire. [01:22:28] The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment. [01:22:32] This is the Glenn Beck program. [01:22:37] Yeah, he was a Marine fighter pilot. [01:22:43] This one bad dude. [01:22:45] Coming up, what Ed Rush is doing now might even be more interesting. [01:22:51] In fact, we're going to lean on him today for a little wisdom, a little understanding, and a little bit of the way forward on how to see things and hear them that you just won't hear anywhere else and get some guidance. [01:23:06] In the days where everything's like AI and you don't know what to believe with the news, I've seen a lot of this fake news. [01:23:11] Not just fake news, but like obviously fake news. [01:23:16] It's posted all over the internet these days. [01:23:18] You don't want to get deceived. [01:23:19] I'll tell you how you can make sure that you don't. [01:23:23] And speaking of AI, Thanksgiving ruined for a lot of folks. [01:23:27] We'll get to this story a little bit later on in the hour. [01:23:30] It's not because of politics and people arguing at the table. [01:23:32] No, it was because of AI recipes. [01:23:36] We'll talk about that and more on the way. [01:23:40] Justin Barclay in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. [01:23:49] The older I get, the more I think about trust. [01:23:52] I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust and the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust. [01:24:01] I know we're alike in that way. [01:24:03] We don't trust a lot of people anymore. [01:24:04] It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify to make sure we're not making a mistake. [01:24:10] I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly. [01:24:12] And that's why I started RealEstateAgentsITrust.com. [01:24:15] I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes. [01:24:18] So we built Real Estate Agents I Trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible. [01:24:32] Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs. [01:24:41] So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit realestateagentsitrust.com. [01:24:46] name says it all realestateagentsitrust.com so how do you see through all the fog of war I mean, we really are at war, whether we realize it or not, whether you're talking in the natural or something a little more super, that's really what we're up against. [01:25:12] And the noise that we're constantly being bombarded with on a daily basis, I thought it might be important to see if we get some clarity and cut through some of that with a man who knows a thing or two about it. [01:25:25] He's a Marine Corps F-18 fighter pilot. [01:25:28] And what he's doing now is actually maybe even more exciting. [01:25:31] We'll have to ask him whether he feels that way or not. [01:25:33] But I can tell you that I think he probably does. [01:25:35] He's still on mission in this time as an author, speaker, and written several books and the author of one that I really enjoyed called God Talks. [01:25:44] Now let's talk to the guy that talks to God. [01:25:46] Ed, appreciate you taking the time to be here with us today, Ed Rush. [01:25:50] Justin, man, it's awesome to be on the show. [01:25:52] Hey, by the way, happy Thanksgiving. [01:25:53] We have a lot to be thankful for. [01:25:55] As you said, you know, we're, I think, in a world at war, but it is nice just to sit back every once in a while and just say thanks to the God who created everything and smile around that table with the family. [01:26:04] So I hope you're having a good weekend. [01:26:06] Absolutely. [01:26:07] And I think, as you mentioned, that's so important. [01:26:09] I mean, look, we've got to face what we're up against, but at the same time, to give thanks, I think is even more necessary, especially in times like this. [01:26:20] So yeah, let's talk about how did you, you've written this book called God Talks. [01:26:25] And my thought process for talking to you today is, first of all, I think it's an interesting subject, nevertheless. [01:26:32] But like, how do we, and times, especially when I get questions from people that I talk to all the time, listen or stream me online or whatever they do, and they're always asking, how do we know what's real and how do we know what's not? [01:26:45] In fact, today I got that question again from Terry who said, look, talk about some of this AI fake news stuff. [01:26:51] It's all over. [01:26:52] It's everywhere. [01:26:53] How do we know what's real? [01:26:54] How do we know? [01:26:55] And I thought, you know, as we go into this time, and Glenn's talked about this, but the AI, and we might already be there. [01:27:01] We're at a time where you may not be able to tell what's real and what isn't. [01:27:04] And if we're not there yet, we're getting very close. [01:27:07] And so I kind of lean on and have leaned on that thought that it's going to be even more important to hear. [01:27:15] from a higher power, to hear from the Lord, to have, you know, to have that discernment, that wisdom to guide you in these times. [01:27:23] Yeah, I mean, fundamentally, I think the human question, like the human question, probably other than why are we here, is what's true. [01:27:31] You know, I mean, like, if you go back in history, it has been fundamentally every single war that started, started over a battle of what's true and what's false. [01:27:40] And, you know, like, dude, I'm a fighter pilot, so I don't do floaty, fluffy, woo-eye-wooy. [01:27:46] I'm interested in like what really works when you are fighting gravity for a living. [01:27:50] You know, the fundamentals like physics, Bernoulli's law, when the stick goes forward, the houses get bigger. [01:27:57] When the stick goes backwards, the houses get smaller, kind of basic fundamentals are really important to me. [01:28:01] And so, and so, yeah, when I started to like go after this question as to like what is really true. [01:28:06] And by the way, what you said about AI is really true. [01:28:08] Like, we live in the most noisy, most confusing, most difficult to discern truth world. [01:28:16] And we have access to more information. [01:28:18] That paradox completely befuddles me, by the way. [01:28:21] And so, yeah, I started to try to figure out like the answer to that. [01:28:24] And to be perfectly open, like I didn't believe in any of this stuff. [01:28:29] Like, the things that I teach nowadays, and just, you know, big picture, I teach real people how to have a conversation with the real God. [01:28:36] It doesn't matter your religious background. [01:28:38] It doesn't matter your, you know, family upbringing. [01:28:41] It doesn't matter anything. [01:28:42] Like, literally, just start to end how to have a very simple conversation with God. [01:28:47] And it's important for you to know. [01:28:49] I didn't believe in any of this stuff. [01:28:50] Like, even 15 years ago, when I sort of stumbled into this process, but fundamentally, the most important thing that you can do, I think, is connect with the God who created you, handcrafted you in his image. [01:29:03] That's an amazing three words in his image and just be able to just understand what he thinks about you, what he thinks about the world. [01:29:11] And it really clears through quite a bit. [01:29:12] And like I said, I have no patience for fluffy, fluffy, wooey, wooy, come by, sort of sit around the campfire and make up pious platitudes. [01:29:21] I'm interested in things that actually work. [01:29:25] So let me ask you, I mean, obviously, this process is pretty simple. [01:29:32] And you walk people through it in the book. [01:29:34] But if you wanted to give somebody maybe a thumbnail sketch or a place to start, for me anyway, like I'll just say that I know that the biggest piece for me is, first of all, just, and it doesn't have to be a long thing or just, but just turning off the noise. [01:29:51] And I know that, you know, look, we're on the radio. [01:29:54] We want you to listen to this show. [01:29:56] We want you to listen to this radio station. [01:29:59] But every now and then, you know, even I do it. [01:30:01] It got to take some time to turn it off, right? [01:30:04] So, yeah, I mean, I think what Justin's saying is listen to the whole show, then turn it off and then do the process. [01:30:12] So you wouldn't want to miss this part at least. [01:30:15] So no, it's amazing. [01:30:17] So, you know, like I live here in San Diego. [01:30:19] I'm probably about 14 miles from downtown San Diego. [01:30:23] And if I want to get downtown, I jump in my car, head down. [01:30:26] It's going to take me probably about 15, 16 minutes, and I'm downtown. [01:30:29] Well, 200 years ago, if I was to go from here to there, it'd be a walk. [01:30:33] I do a lot of walking. [01:30:34] I can tell you that's about an hour and a half at least. [01:30:38] Or sorry, no, I'm doing the math wrong. [01:30:41] That's about a four or five hour walk, right? [01:30:43] Well, during that time, back in the old days, people used to literally just get into this state where they were just sort of in this zone. [01:30:50] Now, scientists have actually identified that state or that zone. [01:30:55] There's five different brainwave frequencies that science will tell you about. [01:30:59] It's not my job to go through each and every single one of them, but I'll go in order. [01:31:03] You basically go all the way from the top, theta, beta, alpha, delta, gamma. [01:31:12] And there is this zone just beside asleep and just above awake called theta, where it's like this, it's the zone. [01:31:23] It's like if you are just sitting there with a big smile on your face, you're perfectly calm, your thoughts are just moving very freely. [01:31:31] That's the zone. [01:31:31] And I will tell you that most Americans, probably most people in the world today, because of our connectivity, move quickly through that zone. [01:31:38] They're either in some sort of high state of information processing or they're asleep. [01:31:42] And that's really where people operate. [01:31:44] But yeah, if you can find yourself into this really still small space, you're able to hear a lot better his still small voice. [01:31:52] And it's actually very simple. [01:31:54] Step number one, just like you described, is to turn off the noise. [01:31:57] Just turn it off. [01:31:58] I don't know many people who can go even for five or 10 minutes with nothing. [01:32:03] Like I'm talking about turn the radio off after the show, turn off your TV, turn off the noise, turn off the conversation, find yourself into a place where you can just be quiet and just breathe for a little bit. [01:32:13] You actually find yourself into this new zone. [01:32:16] And I will just tell you, having taught tens of thousands, at this point, Justin, there's probably well over 100,000 people how to tune into God's voice just to hear him talk to you. [01:32:26] That when you can control your mind and find yourself into this still small spot to hear his still small voice, it actually accentuates your ability to do that. [01:32:35] The people that I know that really have difficulty, and like I said, I've trained a lot of people. [01:32:38] Occasionally I have someone who's like, oh man, I'm like really struggling with this or I'm having a hard time. [01:32:42] It's because they're not able to slow themselves down. [01:32:44] And it's really important, especially in a time like this, dude, we're talking on the middle of the biggest shopping day of the year, but we're also talking in the middle of what traditionally for people is a four-day holiday. === Tuning Into God's Voice (10:33) === [01:32:55] And I find, I don't know about you, but I find like after a holiday or a vacation, I need like a vacation or a holiday. [01:33:00] Like it is busier for me. [01:33:02] These four days, I got like, dude, we're talking this morning. [01:33:06] I got to go get a big Christmas tree. [01:33:07] I'm getting a 13-foot Christmas tree this year. [01:33:09] Dude, the whole family's coming into the town of doing like full Clark Griswold. [01:33:13] I got the lights around the house. [01:33:15] And like, I got four days off, man. [01:33:17] You would think this would be a place for peace. [01:33:18] It's actually a place for just a lot of busy. [01:33:21] And so even five or 10 minutes just to get away, just to breathe a little bit, take your brainwaves. [01:33:26] I could choose scientifically every single step along the way. [01:33:29] Take your brain waves down into a place where you can hear from God and it'll change your life. [01:33:34] So how do we apply this, especially when it comes to seeing through all the noise? [01:33:42] Because discernment, as I said, would be more important through the days ahead as you're seeing things that you don't know. [01:33:48] Is that real? [01:33:48] Or was that fake? [01:33:49] Or was that AI? [01:33:50] Or is somebody lying to me about something? [01:33:53] I'm being pulled in every direction every day. [01:33:55] I think we all are by people who want us to believe whatever narrative it is. [01:34:00] And these are questions we want to break down. [01:34:02] Ed Rush is with us right now. [01:34:03] I'm going to take a quick break. [01:34:04] Just a minute here, but we'll be back with those answers and maybe the answers to what you're really looking for. [01:34:11] Right after this, Justin Barkley in for Glenda Day on the Glenbeck program. [01:34:17] There's always somebody on my list that is impossible to shop for. [01:34:20] Tanya is a given. [01:34:21] What do you get for your wife that really is perfect and special in every way? [01:34:26] Something that you know she'll just love. [01:34:27] I have no idea. [01:34:29] She is impossible for me to buy for. [01:34:31] Unless I shop at Cozy Earth. [01:34:35] The bamboo pajama set, she wears them every night. [01:34:38] She loves them. [01:34:38] They're made from soft, stretch-knit bamboo that drapes and sleeps degrees cooler than cotton. [01:34:44] She's always cold. [01:34:45] It's warm for her. [01:34:46] It's lightweight. [01:34:47] It's cozy. [01:34:48] It's perfect for the holiday mornings or winter nights. [01:34:50] Plus, the cozy earth bubble cuddle blanket is also something I just got her one of those. [01:34:56] Oh my gosh, she loves it. [01:34:58] If you don't know what to get your wife, start with comfort that lasts beyond the holidays. [01:35:31] Our good friend Ed Rush is here. [01:35:33] He's an author and a speaker, and he's written this book, God Talks. [01:35:36] But I think he's actually got a new one that you may want to tell us about here in a second, Ed. [01:35:41] But listen to this article I just pulled up. [01:35:43] And this will maybe take us in another direction here in a minute as well. [01:35:47] But physicists propose radical new theory of consciousness and it could finally explain what happens when you die. [01:35:55] Now, this is science trying to explain what we've known spiritually for a long time, but it's interesting because it says that we're all sort of connected in some way. [01:36:04] And it's got this theory of like just talking about like where some of these things come from when you have maybe a near-death experience or maybe even when you're able to get answers in some ways when you're quiet, right? [01:36:17] That I think spiritually or religiously, we would just use different ways to explain that. [01:36:25] But isn't that interesting? [01:36:26] You talked about science that are kind of starting to prove these things that the Bible's talked about for years. [01:36:31] Yeah, it's awesome. [01:36:32] So I'd love, I love science, by the way, and I love sort of talking about the brain, especially and just like how God really, truly, fearfully and wonderfully we were made knit together in our mother's womb. [01:36:43] And I love the fact that like a lot of times people of faith traditions get a little weird about when it comes to science. [01:36:49] I think it's amazing. [01:36:50] Every scientist, every scientific discovery for the last, you know, 2,000 years has done nothing but show and prove everything that we're teaching is totally right. [01:36:59] Like I'll give you an example. [01:37:00] We're talking about the topic of hearing from God, right? [01:37:03] So when I teach people how to have a conversation with God, I usually actually start with the thing that I just talked about, which is just how to slow yourself down, how to connect yourself back to his voice. [01:37:13] But the second thing I teach right after that is asking the right questions. [01:37:17] Now, you may wonder, like, hey, wait a second, why is that so important? [01:37:21] Like, we're talking to God. [01:37:22] Why are the questions so important? [01:37:23] But questions actually are important, not because of God, but actually because of your neurology. [01:37:28] I could go through literally the way your brain was created. [01:37:31] But there's two parts of your brain that are significant when it comes to receiving input. [01:37:38] The first one is called your neocortex. [01:37:40] It's this layer that goes over the top of your brain that turns into this massive 150,000 vertical supercomputers kind of all stacked on one another. [01:37:50] And then you've got this other area in your thalamus that essentially operates as a filter. [01:37:55] Like if you walk through the airport, I'm heading out on the road again this week to do a little speaking and like go to a couple events. [01:38:02] I'm going to walk through the airport here in San Diego and I'll probably walk by eight or nine or 10 gates. [01:38:06] During that time, if I see someone that I recognize, I'll be like, oh, what's up, Justin? [01:38:13] How you doing? [01:38:13] Like, I'll see you two gates away. [01:38:16] Now, what that means is that your brain has literally been filtering every single gate, all 150 people sitting at every single gate. [01:38:24] Your brain's like, don't know her, don't know her, don't know her, don't know him, don't know him, don't know. [01:38:27] And then finally, it catches someone you know. [01:38:29] It would be maddening, by the way, if all of that information made it past your brain filter system. [01:38:35] Like you would never even be able to get to sleep. [01:38:37] And so your brain has this amazing ability to filter things out. [01:38:41] And if you're the kind of person who hasn't been having a daily sort of as-you-go conversation with God, it's really likely that all of his communication to you is being filtered out literally, neurologically. [01:38:55] I'm talking about a spiritual concept using physical, real principles. [01:38:59] And so when I teach people to ask good questions, I'm asking them to do that so that they'll create filters in their brain to receive what signals, literally what verbal, what visual, what olfactory symbols, whatever it is that God's sending, that they create filters in their brain to actually receive that. [01:39:17] And so like literally one of the very first questions I'll teach people, you've been through this exercise, is like one of the first questions I'll have them ask is, hey, God, what lies do I believe about me? [01:39:27] And then I'll have them follow it up with what's true about me. [01:39:30] Of course, I break the whole process down in the book, but the brilliant genius, and I'm not giving myself credit, just, you know, I wrote this three years before I discovered it scientifically. [01:39:41] Like literally, I found this out afterwards. [01:39:43] But the genius behind the way the questions are presented in the book is it creates a filter system in your brain where you can catch what God's what God's saying to you. [01:39:53] And I kid you not, dude, I've had 84-year-old, like crusty Southern Baptists who are like, look, God doesn't speak. [01:40:02] I've never heard his voice. [01:40:03] I'm 84 years old. [01:40:03] I've been going to church who after 20 minutes of a little session are weeping, like literally crying, going, well, man, if God can teach this 84-year-old Southern Baptist to hear from him, he can teach anyone, you know? [01:40:15] And like I said, it's sometimes just a matter of the filters. [01:40:17] But kind of back to your point, every time I see some new scientific discovery, I realize it validates the claims that we're making, which is you were created by a loving God. [01:40:27] You were created in his image. [01:40:29] And he really wants to have a conversation with you. [01:40:31] Like he designed you for that kind of interface. [01:40:34] And I say, like, now's the time to get it started. [01:40:37] You know, one of the things Ed Rush with us right now, he's the author of God Talks, but one of the things that Glenn has said before in the days ahead with AI and everything else, where we're headed is there's going to be a time, he's, I've heard him say this, is you will depend on the Holy Spirit. [01:40:54] You'll have to hear from the Spirit to tell you at some point, either stop, don't go that way, turn back around. [01:41:00] That's how close and how connected that we'll need to be and we'll depend on it for survival at times. [01:41:06] How do people take this and apply it into instances like that? [01:41:10] Dude, it's just a brilliant point, by the way. [01:41:12] And I completely agree with you. [01:41:14] And of course, agree with what Glenn said about that. [01:41:17] We live in a world where, first of all, it's difficult to find out if something's true or false. [01:41:21] But even if it's true, the next question is, is it important? [01:41:25] Like you could spend an entire day just filtering through news stories, like one after the other, after the other. [01:41:33] And let's say theoretically, I mean, I don't even know what the percentage is, depending on the outlet probably, but let's say, I don't know, half of what you read is true. [01:41:41] I've been reading a lot of articles this week about this comet, like three eye atlas, right? [01:41:47] Yeah, yeah. [01:41:47] This comet that could be a spaceship, that could be alien technology. [01:41:52] I mean, like, you know, I'm listening to Neil deGrasse Tyson, Brian Cox. [01:41:55] I'm like, look, like, a lot of what I'm seeing is probably true, the way that it came in, where it came from, like, I don't know. [01:42:03] But the next question is like, is it important? [01:42:05] You know, and I think that's, it's like an even more important question because you could give your heart and mind and soul to things that are true. [01:42:14] You know, you could spend, I had a guy come up to me. [01:42:16] I love him. [01:42:17] Don't get me wrong or anything. [01:42:19] And he literally, this guy, I mean, he spent like in an event that I was speaking at, he spent like five, seven minutes trying to talk to me about his flat earth theory. [01:42:28] Okay, look, if that's you, I love you. [01:42:30] I think you're amazing. [01:42:31] I just told him, I said, look, why don't you give your life to something that has like a real meaning to it? [01:42:37] Like if you're right about this flat earth situation, then like at the end of the days, you know, you maybe get a high five walking into heaven. [01:42:44] I don't know, you figured it out like, yeah, you're right. [01:42:46] Why don't you give your life to something that actually has real meaning? [01:42:48] And that's what I mean about important. [01:42:49] Like, is it true? [01:42:51] Is it false? [01:42:51] Or is it important? [01:42:53] And I think a conversation with God really dials you in on stuff like that. [01:42:57] Like, I will just tell you, there is nothing, I'm a fighter pilot, right? [01:43:01] There is nothing more important to me than accomplishing the mission. [01:43:04] And when you are focused on what God created you to do, you're going to change the world. [01:43:11] Let's dig into that mission. [01:43:12] If you can hang with us for a second, Ed Rush will be right back. [01:43:15] How to hear when you need it most from God on the Glenn Beck program. [01:45:03] Some of the claims that people are making, in fact, may have even ruined Thanksgiving coming out the AI slop recipes that are ruining Thanksgiving. [01:45:11] We'll walk you. [01:45:12] It's kind of similar to what's happening with news right now, fake news and AI news and AI generated stuff. [01:45:17] I went looking for yesterday, the Lions played the Packers and one of my wife's favorite Cece Winants did the, I think she's from Detroit, actually did the national anthem to open up the game and we weren't home. [01:45:32] So we missed it. [01:45:33] And I went looking for it and I found on YouTube everywhere all this like fake, none of it was real. [01:45:38] It was like reports that they had some AI had somebody made up about the thing and I couldn't find it. [01:45:44] Eventually found the clip. === Acting Like a Child (09:21) === [01:45:45] But it's like that everywhere. [01:45:46] There's so much of that flooding all of us. [01:45:48] And a lot of times you come across things and I get people that always ask me, is this real? [01:45:52] Is that real? [01:45:53] And as we walk through this time, the discernment to know what's real, what isn't, what's fake, the AI involvement in it as well. [01:46:01] That's part of what we're talking about today. [01:46:03] With Ed Rush, he's Marine fighter pilot, retired now, now working on something even maybe even more exciting with his book, God Talks. [01:46:12] GodTalks.com, by the way. [01:46:13] Ed, welcome back. [01:46:14] And we were just talking about some of these things and how to do it. [01:46:17] And maybe like the application of in these moments, like the very specific times where we might need to hear on something very important. [01:46:27] Should I make this move for work or my business or my job? [01:46:32] Or what do I do when it comes to treatments on something that I'm going through or my family, illness and things like that? [01:46:40] I mean, there's all kinds of different things that you can imagine people would want to, maybe if you could ask those questions, get the real answers to, even those videos and news stories that we're watching. [01:46:57] Uh-oh, did we lose him? [01:46:58] Ad, you there? [01:47:00] Sorry, man. [01:47:00] I had that mute button pushed on my phone. [01:47:03] That's a basic pilot error right there. [01:47:06] So, yeah, we used to chalk that up to, well, I won't make fun of pilots too much, but our maintainers would occasionally make fun of us for pushing the wrong button and then blaming them for something that wasn't working properly. [01:47:19] So, yeah, no, I was saying when I literally I was talking into my muted phone about how we live in this very complicated technological world. [01:47:27] And the entire time I was talking about this very complicated technological world, the mute button was on how ironic. [01:47:32] So, yeah, no, we live in this world that's just crazy, right? [01:47:35] And it's not going to get better. [01:47:36] By the way, I love AI. [01:47:37] I think AI is an amazing tool like the internet, like social media, like everything. [01:47:41] It can be used for good. [01:47:42] It can be used for ill. [01:47:43] But, you know, if you're using it well and smartly, I think that you can. [01:47:47] But yeah, I think, you know, having a conversation with your creator, the one who made you in his image, about everything, not just the big things. [01:47:53] You mentioned like career moves or big relationship things or health. [01:47:57] I was reading this morning. [01:47:58] I actually woke up quite early. [01:47:59] I don't wake up all that early nowadays, even though I was in the Marines. [01:48:03] I woke up quite early this morning and I was reading in the book of John. [01:48:06] And I came across this one statement. [01:48:08] And by the way, whatever you believe and whatever your faith background, this will be meaningful for you. [01:48:14] Jesus was right at the end of his life and he said, I know who I am and I know where I came from and I know where I'm going. [01:48:22] And I thought, man, if that isn't the epitome of one's life quest, you know, like if you knew, if you knew where you came from, where you are, and where you're going, it would answer every other question for you. [01:48:37] Like every other question would just literally fill itself in the blanks. [01:48:41] And fundamentally, what I'm trying to do with the world, and you know, Justin, you know, we know each other. [01:48:47] Like, my goal is very simple. [01:48:48] I would like to see 8 billion people around the world. [01:48:50] That's the entire world, simply waking up in the morning with a 10-minute conversation with God. [01:48:54] It would change everything. [01:48:56] We have a lot of issues in our world, certainly a lot of issues in our country, lots of division. [01:49:00] People are very angry at each other for lots of different things. [01:49:02] And some of you at Thanksgiving dinner experienced that last night. [01:49:06] And I will just tell you, if only we brought our initial questions to God, I think it would change everything. [01:49:11] It would change everything for us. [01:49:13] Our politics would certainly change. [01:49:14] Our health systems would change. [01:49:16] Poverty would probably go away very, very, very quickly. [01:49:18] It would pretty much change everything. [01:49:20] And you can ask him anything about anything. [01:49:25] That's the thing. [01:49:29] I don't know if there's anything too big or too small. [01:49:33] You know, when you think about it, is there anything too big or too small to even bring to him? [01:49:38] I think he probably wants us to bring it all to him. [01:49:40] Yeah, it's been my experience, by the way, that the best thing that you can do is start, is do it with all the small things. [01:49:46] Like, for example, if you're right now facing a major health issue, I'm talking about like, should I go and do chemotherapy kind of level decision? [01:49:55] If that's the first conversation that you're having with God, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news. [01:49:59] It's going to be very challenging. [01:50:00] Anytime something's really emotional, anytime something is like come to life or death kind of situation. [01:50:05] But if you've been walking with him, if you've cultivated that sort of, you know, you've trained your brain to be able to have that conversation, it's going to be a lot easier when the chips are down to be able to really hear from him. [01:50:16] That's why I say, like, look, I'm a Marine. [01:50:18] So for me, training is everything. [01:50:20] Like, dude, the first time I landed an airplane, I almost killed myself and my instructor. [01:50:26] I'll never forget. [01:50:27] We landed, hit the runway, started going to the right. [01:50:29] He started telling me to steer with my feet, which is how you steer an airplane. [01:50:33] I was trying to steer with my hands like I learned in a car. [01:50:36] And my instructor was like, steer with your feet, steer with your feet, steer with your feet. [01:50:39] And right before we hit the sign on the side of the runway, he took the controls, took off, and saved our life. [01:50:44] And I was awful. [01:50:45] Like my first flight, I was really bad. [01:50:46] And two and a half years later, I was landing on an aircraft carrier at night. [01:50:51] Well, how is that possible? [01:50:52] Very simple. [01:50:53] Training, practice, doing something over and over and over again. [01:50:57] And so when I teach people how to have a simple conversation with the everlasting, ever-living God, it's as simple as just practicing it and doing it. [01:51:06] And when you can do it with the small things, what you do is you learn to ask him questions about the big things, big career moves, big business swings, investor ideas, stuff like that. [01:51:14] You can actually get really good answers, but you just got to practice. [01:51:18] Godtalks.com is the website in the book. [01:51:22] You have a kids' book out now, too? [01:51:25] Did I say that? [01:51:26] Yeah, yeah, yes. [01:51:27] So we have God Talks for Kids. [01:51:29] So I have four kids. [01:51:31] My kids go 20, 18, 17, and 7. [01:51:34] And same wife and everything. [01:51:36] Like everybody asked me, is this like a second wife? [01:51:38] Nope. [01:51:38] Same wife. [01:51:38] We just, you know, 10-year gap, whatever. [01:51:41] So when my little girl, JoJo, was three, I was in the process of writing God Talks. [01:51:47] And we started doing God Talks together. [01:51:51] I just recently did it. [01:51:52] She's just turned seven, but when she was six, we really got into it and we were asking some really in-depth questions. [01:51:57] And if you've ever watched a six-year-old have a conversation with God, it'll blow your mind, by the way. [01:52:01] It'll change your life. [01:52:02] Because what happens is God started speaking to my daughter, right? [01:52:05] And I'm sitting there taking notes for her. [01:52:07] She's telling me what she's hearing. [01:52:08] And what's crazy is she'll hear from God, but she won't do this. [01:52:12] Like a lot of adults, God will say, I love you. [01:52:15] And the person will go, well, you can't love me because of all the bad things I've done. [01:52:18] And oh, you don't understand who I am. [01:52:20] And I've just been such a horrible person. [01:52:22] Like they actually start editing over. [01:52:24] Six-year-olds don't do that. [01:52:25] There's no filter. [01:52:27] There's no editing system. [01:52:28] There's no like weird conscience thing or something like that. [01:52:31] They're just sitting there receiving. [01:52:32] And the first time I watched my daughter have a conversation with God, I said, What did he say? [01:52:36] He said, I love you. [01:52:38] And I said, That's awesome. [01:52:38] I wrote that down. [01:52:39] And then she said, and God said, you're silly. [01:52:41] He said to my daughter, you're silly. [01:52:44] I thought, that's perfect because exactly who she was. [01:52:46] And so together, we worked on this book called God Talks for Kids. [01:52:49] It's just like four fun chapters, about 50 pages long. [01:52:53] You can just walk through, kind of ideal for kids about four to maybe 10, something like that. [01:52:57] So, man, if you're looking for a great Christmas present, so God for kids is the way to go. [01:53:03] You said he's working on another book. [01:53:05] I thought, man, I don't even know if I am, but now I realize which book you're talking about. [01:53:11] I'm glad to share it because I think it's never too early to talk to them about that. [01:53:15] I do that with my kids. [01:53:16] I got two girls that are, one's about to turn five, the other one just turned three. [01:53:22] And they are very, they don't have all the filters we have, you know, of thinking about what is and what isn't, what's possible and what's not. [01:53:32] And I guess it really is kind of a great example of that childlike faith. [01:53:38] It's like I once told a three-year-old to stop acting like a child. [01:53:42] It was not one of my best moments. [01:53:44] I was a little frustrated that day. [01:53:46] And I remember hearing myself say, you need to stop acting like a child. [01:53:49] I'm saying this to a three-year-old. [01:53:50] And in that moment, I actually kind of told myself, maybe you should start acting like a child. [01:53:57] You know, I mean, I'll take all the wisdom and all the understanding and knowledge and the years of experience that I've gotten in my adult, but sometimes, sometimes you just need to take the filter off, you know, and you need to experience your creator as you were intended to experience him as his daughter or as his son or as his friend. [01:54:16] It will change your life when you understand that you have this creator that's actually really interested in having a simple conversation with you. [01:54:23] It doesn't even need to be important stuff. [01:54:24] It can be the most basic things like the parking spot that you're hoping to get in front of the mall today or, you know, or the deal that you want to get online. [01:54:32] It can be very simple. [01:54:34] Yeah, I will do that. [01:54:35] I'm big with the parking spot. [01:54:36] I absolutely love that. [01:54:38] Hey, it's great. [01:54:41] Go ahead. [01:54:42] And I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to be here with us. [01:54:45] Godtalks.com is the website, the book, and I'll follow it on X and Facebook and Instagram, all those places. [01:54:51] Great follow and some good times. [01:54:54] I think you're going to really enjoy it. [01:54:55] Thank you for taking the time to help walk us through this process. [01:54:58] Justin, you're the man, dude. [01:54:59] Thanks for having me on. [01:55:01] You got it, brother. [01:55:02] Thank you. [01:55:02] And God bless. [01:55:03] Again, this is just some encouragement, especially in the times that we're in right now. === Freedom Over Comfort (06:22) === [01:55:07] You could feel, and I know I felt it over the last couple of days, especially, but you can really feel the darkness creeping in. [01:55:15] But I think it's more important that we don't forget, especially on Thanksgiving weekend, right? [01:55:21] What matters most, and we give thanks for it. [01:55:24] You know, the Bible says enter his gates with Thanksgiving and praise. [01:55:28] Just that. [01:55:29] All right, back with more coming up, by the way, the AI recipes that are ruining Thanksgiving and much more. [01:55:35] And these billboards that are popping up everywhere that have something to do with the seditious six. [01:55:40] I don't know if you've heard about these yet, but we'll shine a light on it. [01:55:43] Coming up on the Glenn Beck program, Justin Barkley, back after this. [01:55:48] Freedom's worth a lot more than comfort. [01:55:51] Here's what I found on the web about that private conversation you just had. [01:55:54] What? [01:55:55] Are you uncomfortable yet? [01:55:57] Glenn Beck is back after this. [01:56:17] Holiday time is high crime season, but not all crime should be addressed the same way. [01:56:22] According to a 2022 FBI stat, firearms are necessary less than 1% of the time. [01:56:27] Burna covers the other 99% of altercations with the firepower that is necessary to incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes. [01:56:36] So next time you think you need lethal force, think of Burna. [01:56:39] Start with Burna, B-Y-R-N-A. [01:56:42] I carry one myself. [01:56:43] I recommend every family concerned about safety should have a Burna launcher. [01:56:47] The new Burna Compact is the world's smallest, less lethal pistol, concealable anywhere. [01:56:52] It fires powerful kinetic and tear gas rounds that can stop an attacker cold for up to 40 minutes. [01:56:56] With 60 feet of range, you can confidently and effectively de-escalate a situation without the use of lethal force. [01:57:03] No background checks, legal in all 50 states, ship straight to your door. [01:57:07] And Burna is approved by the pros, trusted by hundreds of law enforcement agencies. [01:57:11] Visit Burna, BYRNA.com and find the right launcher for your family. [01:57:15] BYRNA.com. [01:57:16] That's Burna.com. [01:57:28] Friday deals or not. [01:57:32] This is an interesting story. [01:57:34] Over a third of Black Friday sales may not be what you think they are. [01:57:40] This is no surprise. [01:57:41] I saw a video last year that kind of blew the spotlight, the lid off of this. [01:57:45] And it's kind of be kind of an interesting conversation. [01:57:51] But first, the one that is the one that's major, the one that's big, beautiful, the best, literally the best sale of all time. [01:57:59] Well, sort of. [01:58:01] Anyway, it's the official Glenn Beck Black Friday sale, and it's live right now. [01:58:24] Justin and for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program, JustinBarkley.com, where I'm trying to get through these next few stories in just a few minutes. [01:58:32] And if I don't, I'll make sure I put them all up in my stack at justinbarklay.com so you can hear them. [01:58:39] But first, or see them rather, this is staggering from CNBC. [01:58:43] Over a third of Black Friday sales aren't really discounts. [01:58:47] Last year, we saw that video that came out, major retail store. [01:58:50] There's somebody that pulled the sign back and revealed that under the Black Friday price was the same price. [01:58:58] It was like the original price. [01:59:02] I guess that's really not lying. [01:59:05] If you technically think of it, it's still the Black Friday price, but it was the same price as the day before. [01:59:11] And we've even heard of some of these big, like Amazon and whatnot, going through and jacking up prices at a certain point so that they can lower them so it looks like you're saving. [01:59:20] I think some of this is what's caused some of us to sort of back down. [01:59:24] I just saw a report on Fox's saying that they're going to have more traffic at the real stores this year than they've had in years as well. [01:59:31] I don't know. [01:59:32] A lot of the stuff I do get, I get online or I get delivered or whatever it might be. [01:59:36] And then at the end of the day, I was just having this conversation yesterday. [01:59:39] I don't need another big screen TV. [01:59:42] I don't really know what it is. [01:59:44] I'd rather put my money behind something like some of the gear from the Glenn Beck store because that goes to something I support and a cause that I'm behind. [01:59:54] I think people are thinking about things differently these days. [02:00:00] I really do. [02:00:01] I think we're looking at the world in just a completely different way. [02:00:05] All right, Putin's birds. [02:00:09] I don't know if we're going to be able to get to this story in its entirety either, but Putin, in the next couple of minutes, I'm going to try my best. [02:00:18] Putin's got scientists that are working on making robo-birds, pigeons, controlled by brain implants. [02:00:30] But first, the AI slop recipes that have ruined Thanksgiving food bloggers are being faked online because they're using AI to basically clone legit food bloggers and put them online on sites. [02:00:46] And one, this German blogger, they've not just cloned her, but they've cloned and made fake recipes. [02:00:52] And it's causing problems. [02:00:53] It's made a bit of an impact on Thanksgiving dinner. [02:00:57] AI-generated content, including images and recipes, recipes rather, that often inaccurately and can be hard to distinguish from real recipes with bloggers reporting sharp declines in visibility and traffic. [02:01:10] And people go to make them and they don't turn out well. [02:01:15] An unemployed son dressed as his dead mom to collect her pension in Mrs. Doubtfire scam while hiding her body at home. [02:01:23] Okay, let's leave that one. [02:01:26] Let's leave Putin and the Robo Pigeons. === Fake Recipes and Holiday Scams (00:42) === [02:01:30] And I'll give you this, the Thanksgiving proclamation that came out yesterday. [02:01:35] In 1789, President of the United States in his office writes, just years after America's triumph over tyranny in the Revolutionary War, President George Washington established the first National Day of Thanksgiving, declaring the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, and to be grateful for his benefits and humbly to implore his protection and favor. [02:02:00] And all those years later, President Trump did it again yesterday. [02:02:04] Read the full one. [02:02:05] We'll put it up online. [02:02:07] It's always an honor and a privilege to be here with you, Justin Barkley and for Glenn on the Glenn Beck program.
