Did Trump Finally Make Ukraine Pay Us Back? | 5/2/25

President Trump and the "Doge" team expose alleged corruption at the Institute of Peace, revealing transfers of funds to the Taliban and deleted accounting records. The hosts argue these actions constitute a cover-up while celebrating Trump's executive order terminating NPR and PBS funding. They contrast this with claims of Ukrainian mineral deals repaying $350 billion in aid and assert that federal agencies are hiding money from congressional oversight. Ultimately, the episode frames these revelations as evidence of systemic left-wing obstruction against taxpayer accountability. [Automatically generated summary]

What is happening with me?
Oh, there we go.
Nope, that's not it either.
What happened here?
What is going on with the sound?
Is that just me or is it?
No, that's something else.
That's something that's going on.
Something's happening.
Something happening.
I don't know.
Is it this?
Hello?
No?
Okay.
That's not it.
Oh, you know what?
There we go.
There we go.
Somebody pushed a button that shouldn't have been pushed.
All right.
Okay.
Darn makeup, people.
I didn't.
I didn't push that button.
No, somebody else came in here and pushed that button.
I want everybody to know that was not me.
I didn't do that.
I didn't accuse you.
I blamed the makeup away.
BJ, the producer, is accusing me of actually pushing a button that I shouldn't have pushed.
Oh, my gosh.
Far be it from me.
I wouldn't do something like that.
It's unprofessional and would not happen ever.
So I just want to make that clear.
All right.
We've got the radio show coming up in a minute.

Gotta face the dark and embrace the fire.
The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
This is the Glenn Beck Program.
With Matt Gray, Jeff Fisher for Glenn and Stu Today.
Hey, they had the National Day of Prayer yesterday.
What are we?
A theocracy now?
Oh, my.
You had people praying in the government on government property?
Is that okay?
Are we Iran now?
We'll share some of that with you.
Coming up.
But first, if you're buying or selling a home, you know, that's one of the most emotional things you'll ever do.
One of the most stressful things you'll ever do.
It's not just a financial decision.
It's your life.
And when the stakes are that high, you don't want just any agent.
You want someone who actually knows what they're doing and actually cares about getting it right.
That's where Real Estate Agents I Trust comes in.
This is a network Glenn started years ago, and it pairs you with the top real estate agents in the country, people who've been thoroughly vetted, who know what they're doing.
They've got strong track records of success, and they get results.
But even more than that, they're people who share your values.
You're not just a name on a spreadsheet to them.
You're a human being with a dream and a deadline.
So whether you're looking to buy your first home or to sell your last one or move across the country, whatever it is, Real Estate Agents I Trust can connect you with someone who will fight for you like it's their own home on the line.
And it's a free service we provide to you.
Go to realestateagentsitrust.com.
That's realestate agentsitrust.com.
Okay, so yesterday was the National Day of Prayer.
This wasn't the prayer breakfast.
That's another thing that happens.
Right.
Because this was outside.
Yeah.
That's what we were noticing when they had the prayer breakfast outside.
But your pancakes would get cold.
It's the National Day of Prayer.
Yeah.
So the Dr. Trump hasn't domed that yet.
So he's getting ready to dome, though.
I don't think he's going to dome the garden.
They're putting a dome over it.
No.
So he can have events there.
They are going to do something to it, right?
It is happening.
I don't think they're going to dome it, but they are going to do something to it.
And I think Milani is involved in that.
Is she not?
He wants to like Mar-a-Lago so he can have.
Right.
They talked about putting in stage concrete, and then they're going to have these giant tents or whatever so they can have events there.
It'll be open unless they have an event, and then they'll bring the tents and stuff.
I say dome it.
Just dome everything.
Well, no, not everything.
Yes, everything.
You want football stadiums, dome.
NFL stadiums definitely need to be dome, but that's another subject.
I'm happy to talk about that.
Dr. Phil was at the White House yesterday, and he was very complimentary of the president.
Mr. President, I can't tell you, first off, how proud I am to see religion coming back to the White House.
God bless you.
God bless you for doing this.
And let me tell you, it's not a popular thing to do in America right now.
And Speaker Johnson is here, and you know he's a man of religion.
But, you know, I've sat with President Trump with no cameras around, nobody listening, nobody watching.
And I'm telling you, this is a man of deep faith, a man of deep conviction.
And this is a man that wants this country to have a heart and have religion.
And God bless America for giving us President Donald Trump.
And when nobody's listening and nobody's looking, this man cares about every single person in America, independent of race, color, creed, whatever.
And it comes from the heart with him.
And I am proud to call him my president.
And God bless you, Mr. President.
God bless you.
And you know, what's interesting about that is Dr. Phil's not the only one who has said those kinds of things about Donald Trump.
Right.
You know, Glenn has certainly said those kinds of things about pretty much everybody who has ever met him and spent any time with him.
Yeah, has interactions with him.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That he's genuine.
You know, even Bill Maher said that, you know, he didn't do this for the cameras.
He didn't do this because he's trying to impress me.
He was real, and he was genuine.
Right.
And he even impressed Bill Maher that way because he is.
He's real.
He's real and he knows how to deal with people.
And President Trump also spoke at the event.
In a letter to wife Abigail, John Adams wrote of his first National Day of Prayer, millions will be upon their knees at once before their great creator, imploring his forgiveness and blessing and asking for his favor on the American cause.
Beautiful.
Today, more than two and a half centuries later, in the heart of a free and proud America, we rejoice that God answered those prayers.
And I think God answered other prayers because he's put in an administration to run this country that's going to make you proud again.
Yep.
Okay.
And then he had more to say too.
Continue to make me proud.
Also this.
So as we bow our heads in this beautiful day, once again, we have to trust our God because our God knows exactly where we're going, what we're doing, knows every inch of our life.
And may he continue to hear our prayers, to guide our steps and build up our beloved nation to even greater heights.
We're in the process of doing some great things.
I get criticized no matter what, but I just go forward because everyone knows we're right.
All we're doing is what they've done to us for 40 years, but we're doing it bigger and better.
That's the only thing we're doing.
That's awesome.
Everyone knows we're right.
Love that.
I'm tired of you people.
Everyone knows we're right.
Uh-huh.
And they do.
They do.
They know they do.
They won't admit it, maybe some of them, but they know it's right.
So just finally admit it.
All right.
It'll make this process much easier.
It'll make it a lot easier.
Yeah.
And I wish they would, but they're not going to.
Also, yesterday, we had so many members of this cabinet that were out speaking and doing great things.
I mean, we got to get to the Stephen Miller stuff, too.
But yesterday, Tulsi Gabbard was on Megan Kelly's show, and she talked about the new Ukraine minerals deal yesterday with her.
You know, this deal was very important to the president to get done, and today was a big day.
A lot of work went into getting this deal signed today because he values the fact that, as he talked about earlier in the cabinet meeting today, about how the American taxpayer has provided overall, when you look at all of the aid that's been given to Ukraine since the Russia-Ukraine war started, $350 billion.
And when you look at the deals that some of the other European countries made with the aid they provided with Ukraine, A, either they used frozen Russian money, so they weren't using their taxpayer dollars, and they found a way to give them frozen money from Russian funds.
And in other areas, they said, okay, we'll loan you this money and we'll figure out a payback plan for the future.
But not us, not the Biden administration.
This money was just given and that's it.
So President Trump understood that, was very, very, very bothered by it, that the American people are just out of pocket on this without any means of any kind of repayment whatsoever.
And so this minerals deal is a way for the American people to get some form of, not return, but some kind of a repayment based on the taxpayer dollars that have been expended and used to pay for someone else's government to be run, to pay for someone else's infrastructure, even outside of all of the weapons system.
While we still have communities here who have failing infrastructure, who have poisonous water, who have people still in Western North Carolina who are homeless and don't have the basic needs that they have.
And so this deal, yes, of course, he wouldn't have made the deal if they don't have these rare earth and minerals that still need to be mined.
But of course, we checked.
Yeah.
He's not going to go and make a blind deal based on just a handshake.
And so this is a win for the American people, and it's a win for the Ukrainian people because this joint partnership is something that is mutually beneficial for the people of both of our countries.
So keep that figure in mind.
The $350 billion that we have poured into that country in both cash and weaponry.
Oh, yeah.
$350 billion.
So, wow, they must be really grateful for that, right?
Because we have kept that country sovereign, a sovereign nation.
We sure have.
We have stopped Russia from just overrunning Ukraine.
And without us, that would not have happened.
Everybody knows it.
Well, not everybody.
There was some Ukrainians that were speaking about it.
Cut 15.
Here's Ukrainians on America.
As the US and Kiev hammer out a mineral deal, Ukrainians from the mining heartlands have a message for Washington.
The resources are theirs.
Olexander is a resident of Krivy Rir, a city near iron ore mining and processing plants.
From what I can see, they only want to take, not to give.
U.S. President Donald Trump has put pressure on Kiev and threatened to stop the flow of military supplies.
That doesn't piss you off.
Unless the U.S. gets payback for the billions of dollars it spends in aid.
Nothing has been agreed yet.
They would like to, but you cannot have dealings with that ginger guy.
He's not that kind of person.
The deal is sensitive for Ukraine.
About 40 miles north is the town of Shovty Wodi, or Yellow Waters, where uranium and iron ore were mined for decades.
Ukraine has a proud history of mining coal and iron ore and hopes to exploit seams of increasingly sought-after rare earths.
Shovty Wody resident Nina Fosenko.
I hope that the people who are involved in this think about Ukraine and its people.
Me too.
Because our mineral riches belong to the people.
Mineral revenues are a crucial pillar of the state budget.
President Vladimir Zelensky said on Monday the negotiations on creating a mineral revenue fund had made progress.
Zelensky knows he must win Trump over after a difficult relationship so far, but that there will be uproar at home if he makes a bad deal.
Ukraine said on Sunday there was no agreement that the deal would not seek to pay for US aid provided to Kiev in the past.
Ukrainian legislator Ina Sovsun said negotiators had to consider future generations.
It's also critically important when we are designing the future to keep in mind that people will live here in the future.
My child will live here in the future.
And we have to make sure that there are some economic prospects for this country as well.
Gain of Function Research Funding 00:08:24
Yeah.
Well, you want to make sure there's not Russian troops that are watching every movement you make that are occupying every city you live in that are controlling everything you do as well.
Without us.
Yeah.
Yep.
I mean, can you believe that?
The only thing we do is take.
The Americans only take.
Oh, okay.
Wait.
I'm sorry.
What about the $350 billion that we have sent to you?
That is a bit of money left and right.
Every week it was.
Here's another $400 million.
Yeah.
Here's another $400.
Here's another.
Well, let's do a $6 billion bill this week.
But that's not going through just fast enough.
Here's another $400 billion just to tide you over.
And over and over.
It was like twice a week for a while we were talking about these expenditures to Ukraine.
Over and over and over.
Congress would pass a bill for $50 billion here, $6 billion there.
And then Biden was sending another $400 billion, like you mentioned, $400 million here and another $300 million there.
And you didn't even notice the $300 million because the rest of the figures were so large.
It just seemed like we were sending them nothing.
Yeah, just sent by the ATM on the way to the Oval.
Pick a quick $400 million, send it to Ukraine.
That's all you could get.
All it was available.
It was amazing.
And I would like to believe that the translator is the one that's saying those things.
And the Ukrainian people don't believe that.
I would like to believe that too, but I'm afraid that's just not true.
I don't think it is the case.
I don't think it is.
All right.
888-727-BEZK.
More coming up in one minute.
You know, when war breaks out, when sirens wail, when elderly Jewish survivors are huddled in stairwells and children are rushed into bomb shelters, there is one group that's already there, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
They don't wait for the dust to settle.
They bring food, water, medicine, and comfort right into the heart of the crisis.
In Israel right now, the need is overwhelming.
Terror attacks, rocket fire, displaced families.
This isn't history.
It's happening today.
And the fellowship is standing in the gap thanks to people like you.
Every gift you give is a lifeline for someone who may have no one else, someone who still bears the scars of past horrors and now faces a new kind of threat.
When you support the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, you're not just giving aid.
You're doing that, but you're also doing so much more as well.
You're showing up in the middle of the chaos and you're saying you're not alone.
Show your support for Israel by making a life-saving gift today.
Call to make your gift at 888-488-IFCJ.
That's 888-488-4325.
Or you can go online at supportifcj.org.
That's one word.
Supportifcj.org.
Ten seconds station identification.
Has obnoxious eagles flying all over the place this week.
I don't know what the deal is.
So Tulsi was out saying some great stuff.
I mean, she was talking about the Ukraine minerals deal, which is really huge for us.
It's going to be very, very helpful.
She also discussed U.S. funding of gain of function research.
This is something that needs more attention, and I don't think we paid nearly enough attention to it, especially since COVID-19 happened.
For sure.
And Fauci happened.
Because this continues and it needs to stop, but here she is talking about that.
The thing that we are working with Jay Bhattacharya, the new NIH director on with, as well as Secretary Kennedy, is looking at the gain of function research that in the case of the Wuhan lab,
as well as many others around, many of these other biolabs around the world, was actually U.S. funded and leads to this dangerous kind of research that in many examples has resulted in either a pandemic or some other major health crisis.
Let me ask you specifically, because we already know that EcoHealth Alliance was partnering with this Wuhan lab to create, to do gain of function resessment.
We just have never been able to have somebody say, and it was that exact experiment that led to this COVID bug.
But have we gotten there?
What's the new thing that you're digging in on?
We are working on that with Jay Bhattacharya and look forward to being able to share that hopefully very soon.
Okay.
That specific link correct between the gain of function research and what we saw with COVID-19.
I mean, that would be extraordinary because just so the audience knows, if that's true, if it was Peter Dazik's research with the Wuhan, so-called bat lady, that caused this pandemic, then we did fund it.
Then Anthony Fauci helped fund the pandemic.
Things that are denied over and over and over to Senator Rand Paul's questioning.
That's right.
Under oath.
Under oath, exactly.
So is it any wonder that he sought a preemptive pardon for anything during a certain period of time by President Biden before he left office?
And then strong-armed and smeared people like Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, anybody who came out and said, I don't know if that's natural.
This actually smacks of lab.
And the reason why this is so important is not just what happened in the past.
It's because this gain of function research is happening in biolabs around the world.
I got attacked, and I think you saw this, we've probably talked about it on your show before, when I warned against U.S.-funded biolabs in Ukraine when the Russia-Ukraine war kicked off for this very reason.
Who knows what kinds of pathogens are in these labs and, if released, could create another COVID-like pandemic.
And for that, I was called a Russian asset.
You're, you know, trumpeting Putin's talking points, all of this nonsense, simply for speaking the truth and stating facts.
That by the way, we are still on U.S. Embassy Ukraine's website today about how the U.S. has funded these biolabs in Ukraine.
But in order to, my point is, in order to prevent another COVID-like pandemic or another major health incident that could affect us in the world, we have to end this gain of function research and provide the evidence that shows exactly why and how it's in our best interest, the American people's best interest, to bring about an end to it.
Yeah.
Can we stop?
Stop.
Just stop.
Just stop.
Because here's the thing.
If you're not familiar with gain of function, any organism can acquire a new ability or a new property or a gain of their function.
It can happen through natural selection or a researcher's experiments.
And that part is what we're trying to stop.
Right.
Stop with the experiments.
Stop trying to make a virus be able to jump from animals to humans and vice versa and mutate.
Stop it, right?
I mean, I think it was Obama that made Fauci stop.
And I say made Fauci stop because he didn't.
He just started funding, sending money to other China that were using the money to do gain of function.
That's right.
So technically.
We were still funding it.
Right.
But he was doing it.
But we weren't doing it.
Right.
It's not us.
This is Chinese.
We're just giving him money to do it.
It's just people and what they do with it.
That's up to them.
Right.
Yeah.
So it's very dangerous.
It's dangerous.
Right.
Because, you know, somehow COVID-19 got out of the lab and infected millions of people around the world.
That could happen again.
And maybe happen with something much more deadly.
That's the story.
We'd like to avoid that.
Wow.
All right.

Apparently, they're having a problem with Dolphins in Los Angeles.
Wait, what?
Yeah, Dolphins are, I guess, beaching themselves.
They don't call it, they call it Dolphins Strandings.
Strandings.
Yeah.
Whales Beach.
Wells Beach.
Dolphins.
Dolphins Strand.
So they strand themselves on the beach.
Oh, I am not aware of this.
So is it because they're eating plastic bags?
It's happened more right now than it has, according to some of these lifeguards in the last 20 years combined.
Wow.
And it's because they think, well, it was two in the last 20 years.
Now they've seen four just in the last little while.
Stop it.
But it is causing lifeguards to actually physically break down and weep.
Oh, now.
Yes.
Yes.
How dare you laugh?
How dare you?
It's really sad.
You're going to get yourself into trouble again on the animal front this week.
I know.
Sorry.
Okay.
The poor dolphins.
All right.
The poor dolphins.
I should be weeping myself.
You should.
You should.
Come on.
Because things have gotten so bad in LA County for lifeguards that they have begun to take mental health days to cope with the devastation of the dolphin strand.
Good for them.
Good for them.
It means so much.
Look, it's a struggle to be a lifeguard anyway.
You're right.
There's so much on your mind as you're sitting there on the beach and paying attention to.
Well, you got to worry about your tan.
Right.
You know, and make sure it doesn't turn into a burn.
You got to make sure it's dehydrated enough.
Hydrated?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't want you to be out there and be dehydrated.
No.
And so I can understand how you need to take a mental health day when you see it.
When you see a stranded dolphin.
You stand on the beach.
You're going to take a few mental health.
Don't you go up to it.
I hope nobody's taking selfies or pictures with it.
That better not happen.
They would never do that.
They would never do that.
It would be undignifying to the dolphin.
Well, not the.
The dolphin didn't read to the photo.
I was like, I'm not going to be the people on the beach.
Okay.
Oh, okay.
The mean people on the beach taking pictures with it for their animals.
Well, they better not.
I'll kick them off the beach if I'm not.
You get in trouble with the animal people, too.
Every state.
People were taking pictures with the shark on the beach here in Texas, and you might as well throw them in prison forever.
Right?
Yeah.
Don't touch them.
Don't touch them.
Call the authorities.
The algae blooms can form due to low water circulation or after weather events like droughts, floods, or hurricanes, and can quickly proliferate in warm, nutrient-rich water.
How many times have I talked about that?
More times than you can shake a stick at that.
It kills a lot of stuff in Florida, too.
It does.
It comes up.
That's very deadly, very bad.
So the bloom, currently wreaking havoc off the coast, produces a neurotoxin called domoic acid, which accumulates in small fish like sardines and anchovies.
And then, of course, the dolphins eat the sardines and anchovies.
Right, of course.
When they should be said, hey, they should be told, you might not want to eat the sardines and anchovies right now.
Might want to change your diet a bit because they're toxic or good.
Yeah, they're toxic.
But they don't.
But they don't.
They don't.
No.
So when you see it happen.
And look, I'm sad for the dolphins.
I don't want dolphins to die.
Dolphins are really smart, apparently.
I don't want dolphins to die.
I don't either.
But either.
I'm not weeping when they strand themselves on a beach.
I'm sorry.
That just not.
Well, that's because you're a heartless heartless human being.
That's all you are, is heartless.
Okay.
That's why.
Others of us would break down and weep openly.
And then we would.
Did you need a mental health day?
We would request a mental health day.
Yes.
Yes.
Lifeguards actually get a mental health day.
Just reading the story, I might have to take a mental health day on Monday.
I may have to do that just from the story.
Are you going to be able to survive the next day?
I honestly don't know right now.
Okay.
I'm trying, trying to get through it.
But I mean, it's doubled.
Dolphin stranding has doubled in 20 years.
Yes.
So.
Yes.
So here's what John Warner. of the Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro said.
He said, this is the end of the debate about whether climate change is real.
There you go.
I knew it had to be coming.
There you go.
It had to be coming.
It's the end of the debate.
There is nothing else that can explain this, and I hope that's sinking in.
Okay, so I know that we've all been waiting for the chief executive of the Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro, John Warner, to weigh in.
To let us know when the discussion is over.
So what a relief that we can now put it to bed.
He just let us know it's over.
It's over.
It's at an end.
It's real.
Shut up about it.
No more negative talk about man-caused climate change.
John said it's done.
Okay.
So it's done.
Thank you.
Don't make me tell you again.
Is that Don speaking?
It's John speaking.
I'm just relating what John is telling you.
Okay.
Come on now.
There could be a million explanations for this.
This is an end to the global warming government.
Shut up.
They already, you know, they've already, they explained in the article, they said it might be the runoff from the fires.
Which is very possible.
Which is very possible.
Very possible.
But they don't have any idea, really.
They don't know what caused this for sure.
Really?
Okay, let's say that it is we've created this algae and then that's getting eating and the dolphins are eating that.
Yeah.
You know, Mother Nature is, you know, ridding the earth.
I mean, that's kind of a cyclical thing, almost like weather.
Yeah.
And so almost so it'll be okay.
It'll be okay.
I mean, how often has the planet gone through cycles like this?
Not just the slightly warmer cycles, but where the water warms or the water cools.
And I mean, we get changes in the climate.
We've played that clip.
I don't even think we have it anymore.
We played that clip from that one CBS reporter telling us that if the ocean, if the ocean was a little bit hotter, we'd all be dead.
Well, no kidding, but it's not.
Carbon emissions also trap heat.
Today's report shows oceans have absorbed 90% of that heat, raising ocean temperatures by half a degree.
Had all that heat gone into the atmosphere, air temperatures could have risen by more than 200 degrees.
Holy cow.
Well, okay, so if the earth didn't work the way the earth works, we'd all be dead.
We'd be dead.
Yeah.
It would be 285 degrees in Texas right now.
Fortunately, the earth does what the earth does.
Right.
Right.
It's frustrating.
Very frustrating.
It's really, really frustrating.
And I get so tired of hearing it.
I don't know.
I honestly don't know how many, it's easy enough to find out.
I guess I could ask Jeeves how many dolphins we have on the planet.
Yeah.
Well, six of them are dead now because they stranded themselves.
Okay.
So the sixth less than we used to have.
Is that just from this one light?
Not another dolphin had a baby.
Not new dolphins being born, hatched, dropped from the sky, however they get created.
Look, I'm not going to play your game of trying not to be alarmed by this.
I'm not going to play that game with you because Pete is going to, they're going to be on the phone by any minute now.
Too late.
They already have been.
I'm typing it up right now.
How many dolphins are left in the world?
Somebody's already typed that in, and so you have to click on that.
There's no single precise number for the total number of dolphins worldwide.
They probably have a pretty good idea.
Population estimates vary depending on species and region.
Don't give me that.
They all look alike to me.
So just tell me about all dolphins, porpoises, whatever.
There were smaller ones in the inland waterways when I lived in Florida and I thought, oh, those are different than the big ones.
But they're still dolphins.
Okay.
It is estimated there are approximately 6 million common dolphins.
There's at least 40 species of them now of dolphins and porpoises with population sizes ranging from a few hundred to several million.
Okay.
Depending.
So there's a lot.
There's a lot.
There's a lot of dolphins in porpoises.
So I know you're not playing the game.
No, I'm not.
I won't play it with you.
But we don't know if these dolphins in California were the common ones or the extra uncommon ones.
No, and you're starting to piss me off now.
And I don't know that maybe the pod will be devastated without the four dolphins if they came from the same pod.
Well, let me ask you this.
If four people in your family died, would you be devastated?
What four?
What four?
I need more specifics.
I forgot who I was dealing with for a minute there.
I forgot just for a second.
Sorry.
Of course I'd be sad.
Of course I'd be sad.
I'm not playing your little game, okay?
Okay.
All right.
Yeah, that's great.
Which four?
That's priceless.
All right.
We meant to get to the Stephen Miller stuff because he's awesome.
You brought up the sadness of the dolphins guy.
Yeah, I did.
I did.
I spent more time on that sadness than I meant to.
Stephen Miller as Chief of Staff 00:03:55
But in an early morning press conference, deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, he should be the chief of staff.
There's no doubt about that.
You know, he's the man right now.
I mean, I couldn't even, could I tell you who the chief of staff is?
She's Susan.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Was that her name?
Honestly, I can't remember her name.
But no, no, no.
Carolyn Levitt is the spokesperson, but the chief of staff is.
She's the chief of staff.
I don't know.
She's the daughter of our football announcer.
She's the daughter of our football announcer.
Yes.
Yes.
I'll tell you.
Oh, she's the daughter of Pat Summerall.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Right.
Right, right.
But her name's not Summerall because she's married.
No, it is not.
Okay.
So do you have it?
Did you ask Jeeves?
I'm asking Jeeves now, but I just want to know the chief of staff, not how you become.
Susie Wiles.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what I thought.
Yeah, Susan Wiles.
Yeah, yeah.
Susan Wiles.
All right.
So anyway, the deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, was talking about how children are treated in American schools.
When it comes to the question of gender, this guy just makes too much sense.
This applies to our whole K-12 system.
The Department of Justice is also coordinating with state and local law enforcement to fight child abuse in our school systems.
It is child abuse to change a child's gender, particularly if you do not inform the parents.
In other words, if a five-year-old or a six-year-old goes to school or a seven-year-old goes to school and the teacher tries to turn the boy into a girl or the girl into a boy, that is child abuse.
And this administration is treating that as child abuse.
And it is a gross violation of parental rights.
Yep.
Yeah.
Yep.
Yeah.
And we need to call it, we need to call it child abuse.
Yes.
Every time.
That's how the left wins arguments in this country by controlling the language.
By doing that, I mean, we are creating more of a more hatred from the left, that is for sure.
Yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
They're not going to like that at all.
Triple 8-727 Beckmore coming up.
Ain't no snake oil here.
Just truth, grit, and good old-fashioned common sense.
This is Glenn Beck.
When you hear the term living better, what do you think about?
More money, bigger house, maybe a yacht?
Or do you think how you feel physically, how you wake up every day, how you sleep, what activities you can and can't do.
When you feel good, life is good.
It's easy for us to take our health for granted until we can't.
I came to that reality when I started feeling pain every day at about 45, and I started to lose hope until I found Relief Factor.
Relief Factor is a daily supplement that fights pain naturally.
Developed by doctors, it doesn't just mask the pain temporarily.
It helps reduce or even eliminate pain.
In fact, the longer you take it, the more effective it is.
Give their three-week quick start a try.
It's $19.95, less than a dollar a day, and it takes one phone call, 800 for relief.
That's 800, the number four relief.
Wherever you're hurting in three weeks or even days, Relief Factor can give you a chance to rediscover the true meaning of living better again.

Remembering David Horowitz 00:15:36
Pat and Jeffy for Glenn and Stu today, 888-727-BECK.
Stephen Miller, deputy chief of staff and just outspoken person in this administration that doesn't take any garbage from anybody.
I love it.
He's been so great and so perfect.
And, you know, I was reading because rest in peace to David Horowitz, who just died away.
86.
Yeah, earlier this week.
But I was reading about how he mentored Stephen Miller.
Yeah, I didn't know that.
I did not know that either.
And I talked about how they, Stephen Miller used, he lived in California, born in California, raised in California, and how he used to call in and listen.
Well, he listened to Rush and he talked about conservative radio and he used to call into Larry Elder's show and complain about his high school not being able to say the pledge.
And he used to just go on these rants on Elder's show and they all knew about him.
And that's when Horowitz heard him.
And then Miller reached out to Horowitz to speak at his high school and Horowitz was like, well, yeah, I'll speak at your high school.
And then after that, he mentored him after that.
That is great.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
That's really fun.
Yeah, that's a great story.
And he's going to be greatly missed.
Absolutely.
Greatly missed.
Absolutely.
Do we have that clip of Horowitz with the one that shots down the Hamas supporter in, I don't know, some college a couple of years ago.
We don't have that.
All right.
Because he was so good.
Finally, Turk talked her into actually saying, yep, I want you dead.
Basically, that's what happened.
Yeah.
That's what I want.
Yeah.
And so she definitely supported that.
So he got it out of her, which was incredible.
Yes.
Incredible.
She was very reluctant, but it's one of those things where, you know, the radicals show up at these college appearances and they think they're going to stump the speaker that has come to talk to them.
She really thought she was going to put Horowitz in his place.
It didn't work out for her.
We obviously didn't read the flyer for this event.
I'm going to set you straight here for a little bit, okay?
Amazing.
It sure is.
All right.
So we will get to another Stephen Miller rant as he essentially roasted the media on their coverage of immigration and what's going on right now.
So we will get to that and much more coming up.
This is Glenn Beck.
In the words of Alan Omar to Amber Ruffin, I'd like to say, F you.
Okay.
Or off.
Or off or whatever.
Whatever.
Whatever it is.
Whatever it was, Alon said.
Same thing to her.
Same to Amber.
Yeah.
Come on now.
Agonizing.
Terrible.
She feels less safe in her home.
Less safe at home.
Okay.
Shut up.
I know.
Yeah.
Cheryl Crowe doing the same thing.
Cheryl Crowe, I don't feel safe in Tennessee.
Everyone's armed.
Cheryl Crowe, you have the means to live anywhere in the United States, anywhere in the world.
You don't even have to live here in the United States.
Leave.
Shut up.
Leave.
Go somewhere else.
I can't.
It's agonizing.
Seriously.
It is agonizing.
Oh, these liberals and their garbage.
Cheryl sold her Tesla because of President Musk and donated the money, I think, to NPR.
She can do what she wants with her money.
That's fine.
But that means she can also shut up about where she lives because she can move and live anywhere she wants.
Yeah, she could go somewhere else.
Right.
If you don't feel safe there, go somewhere else.
Brother.
All right.
Much more coming up.
and it'll continue on the radio show in just seconds.
Stand your ground when times are getting high.
Gotta face the dark and embrace the fire.
The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
This is the Glenn Beck Program.
With Pat and Stu, Pat and Jeffy for Glenn and Stu.
That's what I met you.
Yeah, almost called you Stew, which would have been quite a compliment, but no, it would not have.
It is Pat and Jeffy for Glenn and Stu.
I think Stu's back Monday, right?
I don't keep track of Stu.
You don't keep track?
I don't want to keep track of Stu.
Okay.
Whatever.
Whatever.
All right.
We'll get into the Stephen Miller stuff and what he had to say to the media on immigration coming up in one minute.

All right, so Stephen Miller, who is the deputy chief of staff for President Trump, taking on media and reporters pretty much every day, he laid into the media yesterday on the way they've been covering the Trump administration's attempts to get immigration under control.
It is a sad reflection on the state of our media and many of the outlets represented in this room that you obsessively try to shill for this MS-13 terrorists.
Well, no coverage occurred in your papers about any of the Americans that were raped and tortured and murdered by the illegals that Biden was importing into our country.
You know, you talk about due process.
The Biden administration made the decision to give extensive due process to two Train De Aragua terrorists that were apprehended at the border just a couple years ago.
They were two gentlemen.
They were from Venezuela.
They were members of Trained Diaragua.
The Biden administration Border Patrol apprehended them and made the decision to provide them with extensive due process, put them onto a program known as supervised release, and put them on ankle monitors so they could go through a lengthy legal, judicial determination as to whether these legal aliens who had just set foot on U.S. soil might want to live in the United States for the rest of their lives.
What was the result of that decision?
What was the result of that choice that was made?
Those two men kidnapped a young girl named Jocelyn Nungery from her family.
They beat her.
They sexually assaulted her.
They tortured her.
They stripped her.
They murdered her and they dumped her body.
Wow.
That is what the Biden administration's policy was.
Most of your papers never covered her story when it happened.
To the extent that you covered it at all, it was because President Trump forced you to cover it by highlighting it repeatedly over and over again.
He had to shame you into covering it.
And each and every one of you that sides over and over again with these MS-13 terrorists, to the extent that you have the financial means to do so, you all choose to live in condos or homes or houses as far away from these kinds of gangbangers as you possibly can.
If I offered any one of you a rent-free home with no taxes to pay in any of these gang neighborhoods, and I said your neighbors are MS-13 terrorists or Mexican mafia or Sinaloa cartel or Train Diaragua, I couldn't pay you to live there.
But yet you, with your coverage, are trying to force innocent Americans to have these people as their neighbors and that one day their daughter may be abducted from their home and raped and murdered.
So you're not going to get an ounce of sympathy from this administration or President Trump for the terrorists who've invaded our homes and our country.
You have something else to say.
Carol, I'll give it back to you now.
Now who wants to complain?
Anybody?
So great.
It is awesome.
But what they keep coming back to is Maryland man.
You know, the sainted Maryland man.
Sainted Maryland man.
He'd never done anything wrong.
And the only thing he did wrong, I guess, was getting a tattoo.
It's the only thing he did wrong.
And that's why he's in prison in El Salvador right now.
Right.
Right.
It's just a hardworking man.
Hardworking.
Union member.
Yeah.
Working for his family.
Right.
Yeah.
Who was pulled over a while ago?
This was in 2022.
He's pulled over in Tennessee with a whole carload of people in the van with him.
And it's kind of interesting.
The whole thing was fascinating.
This is a Maryland man, a Breco Garcia.
And he, so he's a suspected MS-13 member.
And he did not have, you know, I think we've cleared this part up.
He didn't have the M and the S and the one and the three on his knuckles.
But what he had were was the marijuana plant, the smiley face.
So he had the cross.
So the marijuana apparently stood for the M. Right.
The smiley face for the S.
The cross was the one.
And the skull was the three.
I don't know why, but that's what they say it is.
So anyway, whether or not that's the case, he's had some fairly weird encounters with law enforcement.
And this was one of them.
Back in Tennessee in 2022, he gets pulled over by Highway Patrol.
Here's what happened.
Yeah, your driver's license, registration, and trophy insurance.
He's behind the wheel.
Listen to this.
Okay, your driver's license?
He's looking for it.
Oh, my God.
Oh, no.
The problem with my license.
Yeah.
Right now, he's a spirit, right?
It's suspended.
Pause it for a sec.
Okay.
So there's thing number one.
He's driving out of the suspended license.
Oh, okay.
Well, that's fine.
Did he even have a worry about it?
Because I feel like that.
Apparently not.
I feel like if you know you don't have something.
Yeah, you're looking around for it.
Oh, what did I do with this?
Where is that?
Oh, that's right.
You know what?
It's been suspended.
That's why I won't have it right now.
Really?
Did you forget that for a minute?
I did.
Yeah, I did.
Okay.
So, okay.
So that's thing one: suspended license.
My permanent deployment, so like two years experience.
So I need to wait in the paper for immigration for I got to the NBA.
So you're not going to.
Pause it again.
Okay, now he's just told us he's illegally here.
He's got to go to immigration and work that out.
Oh, I thought he said NBA.
I thought he was going to play for the National Basketball Association, but I guess that's no.
No, he's not going to the NBA.
So, yeah, so suspended license, and I'm here illegally.
Okay we know that so far.
Where's that?
No, he doesn't have insurance either.
No proof of insurance.
Okay.
All right.
Where do y'all live at?
Where are you living?
I live in Maryland.
Maryland.
Maryland?
Yeah, also.
Whose vehicle is it?
Whose car is it?
He's through my base.
Okay.
So, okay, we're working on a suspended license.
He's here illegally.
He has no proof of insurance, and it's not his car.
Well, it's his bosses.
That's his bosses.
How do I know that?
I don't.
He said so.
Well, he said so.
So now I do.
I know it must be true.
He said it.
This is incredible.
Oh, unbelievable.
Nothing else has to happen.
If this is me, I'm already in jail.
I'm already possibly still there.
Yeah.
Right.
Exactly.
From 2022.
I'm still there in 2025.
I mean, this is incredible.
Suspended license.
I'm an illegal alien.
I have no proof of insurance.
And this isn't my car I'm driving with eight people in it with me.
Yeah, we even got to that.
I will say that.
Yeah, when you look paying good attention to the lady sitting in the rider passenger seat of the car.
Yeah, she looks forward the whole time.
She's been told, make yourself disappear.
Right.
And she's doing everything in her power to be invisible.
Does not speak, does not look at the police officer, doesn't look at the driver, looks straight ahead the whole time.
All right, let him go here.
Let Him Go 00:06:20
Where's he?
Where's your boss from?
He's in Maryland.
I think so.
Houston thinks so.
Have you got the person of insurance?
Yeah, I don't know where to put it.
No.
No, I didn't have that either.
Oh, golly.
I don't know where it is.
Let me love it.
So great.
It could be in this book here.
No.
No, it's not in this book.
Darn it.
Oh, boy.
You know, I know I got it on me somewhere.
Where are you guys coming from right now?
Where are you coming from?
From San Luis.
Where?
I work in San Luis.
St. Louis?
Is that what it's like?
So I go here.
Everybody go back to the house.
Next week, I'm going to make it to Niceville.
I thought you were going to Missouri.
The next project, I told you, the next project is everybody going to Niceville.
The next project, you know?
Okay.
All right.
What do y'all do?
Okay.
What kind of work is it?
It's construction.
Remote.
Payment.
Okay.
Dribble.
Everything.
Driver license?
Yeah.
No, no, license.
Yeah.
Okay.
Can you find your insurance?
No.
Can't find the insurance either.
Take a look back there.
All those people back here.
Your insurance.
Can you find it?
I call my boss.
I don't know where Poor.
He doesn't know where it is.
I call my boss.
You call him.
I'll be right back.
This is amazing.
Absolutely incredible.
How dark are your windows?
How dark's the back windows?
Windows?
Yeah, the windows.
How dark are the windows?
They're a little too tinged, my friend.
It's my friend's car.
How many rows have you got in here?
Four?
Four seats?
Four rows of seats?
Yeah, three seats.
Four rows of seats.
Eight people in the van.
Did y'all put an extra one in?
Huh?
Did y'all put another one in?
No.
No.
They come like this?
Is it the trouble?
I've never seen one with that many sinks in it.
Don't worry about that, Mr. Officer.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Okay.
So eventually, the officer walks back to his car, and another cop approaches him.
And he says, you know what you have here?
They called in the drug-sniffing dogs and the drug, you know, his fellow officers.
They didn't get a hit on.
Did not.
And that's the guy that said.
Yes, you know what you got here, right?
You've got a guy who's smuggling illegal aliens into the country.
That's why there's eight people in the van.
Right.
And sometimes they do both, but you usually don't get a drug hit on these people.
Right.
I mean, so one of the cops knows exactly what's happening.
100% knows.
So you've got a suspended license.
You're an illegal alien.
You've got no insurance.
It's not your car.
And you've got eight people in the vehicle with an extra row of seats that was placed in your car.
You get your profit.
Okay.
All right.
So.
Good news is.
Wow.
Good news is, Pat.
What's the good news?
They let him go.
Yeah, that is the good news.
Yeah.
They called the FBI, said, Hey, we got this guy, and they explained the whole thing to them.
And they said, Yeah, let him go.
And they did.
Dead, they did.
And they did.
Dead, they did.
So incredible.
Absolutely.
Any American in about an hour and a half to two hours.
About an hour and a half to two hours.
All of that took place and we let him go.
Any U.S. citizen would be in jail to this day.
Any citizen.
Yeah.
But for some reason, how does that during Biden?
They let him go.
I don't honestly don't understand either.
How that doesn't possible.
It's inconceivable.
I don't blame the officers, I don't think, but well, no, they tried to do the right thing.
They tried to do it.
They called the FBI.
Okay, but they couldn't arrest them locally.
I don't know.
They took them to the Tennessee County Jail there.
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
I mean, you would think they could.
They would to us.
They'd take us to jail.
If the FBI, you know, once they did that, then the FBI would say, let them go anyway.
So what's the point in doing all that?
And that's probably what they figure.
Right.
All right.
Triple 8727BECK.
More coming up in one minute.

Teacher Sues Over Student Harassment 00:04:31
And welcome.
Great to have you with us.
Triple 8727BECK, an Oregon middle school teacher, was awarded a massive payout.
It was something like $301,000, I think, after she won a lawsuit alleging that her students sexually harassed her.
Susan Bartley, 46-year-old teacher, sued the Portland Public Schools in 2023.
She claimed she got abuse from her students, and it began in the fall of 2021, continued until the fall of 2024.
The teacher's lawyers allegedly provided more than 250 pages of emails, letters, declarations, and excerpts from depositions to show that she was, in fact, harassed.
The Oregonian reported that an eighth-grade boy allegedly demanded during a class that Barton or Bartley refer to him by his new pronouns, which were reportedly a sexually explicit term.
That's not funny.
I'm not laughing at that.
That is not funny.
I'm not laughing at that at all.
Bartley allegedly confronted a student for using his cell phone during the class, and the boy reportedly stuffed the phone down his pants and told her to come grab it.
I mean, times have definitely changed.
Can you imagine treating a teacher like this when we were in school?
I don't, would you even?
Think about that for a second.
Jeff Fisher, would you have even.
I used to argue with teachers quite a bit.
I know that's going to come as a surprise.
There was a number of teachers that didn't necessarily like me.
Yeah.
But would you talk to him like this?
Like that?
Yeah, I wouldn't have.
I mean, not even the douchiest of douchebags at my school would have tried something like that.
There were three different times, though.
Completely.
I mean, there's no way you're getting away with that.
And these were emails.
Were they just emails or they were texts?
I mean, I'm not familiar with this.
Is the teacher hot?
Is she?
Well, they thought she was.
Yeah, okay.
The lawsuit alleged that a group of seventh grade boys surrounded her outside the Kellogg Middle School after class.
Completely unacceptable.
That can't be.
And she said the boys recorded video of her butt talks with a cell phone and just said, you know, that she was sexy.
Okay.
And wouldn't let her pass.
No way to make them stop.
I mean, there had to be, she won the lawsuit, so she obviously tried and they didn't.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I bet some of the emails that you're talking about are probably her emails to the school system, to the principal maybe complaining about this, and they did nothing about it, would be my guess.
And that's why she won $300,000 in this thing.
I mean, I'm surprised that it didn't go along some of the families of these students.
Right?
Yeah.
I mean, after some of that.
I mean, it's $300,000 for the school district.
I think mom and dad need to fork over a couple of bucks, too.
Definitely.
Yes.
But these kids were just fun.
She told the Oregonian, I continued to say we need to address this head-on.
Children need to be taught boundaries.
Yeah.
When there were no consequences for the boys, they started harassing not just me, but the girls in school even more.
Wow.
Because they got away with that.
They felt empowered.
Exactly right.
Yeah.
So I don't know if this is going on in a lot of school districts, but, you know, it's certainly different than it used to be.
That's for sure.
Yeah, that's for sure.
I mean, somebody would have put the hammer down on anybody doing this.
Yeah, correct.
And, you know, so that happens back in, well, I mean, yours was obviously a lot longer than mine.
But back in your day, you know, maybe the coach comes along and straightens a couple of the kids out and sets it straight, right?
This is Glenn Beck.
What do you give the mom who gave you everything?
This Mother's Day, give her the gift of a lifetime.

Let's rock and roll a horse racing's triple crown season begins tomorrow with the Kentucky Derby.
Woo!
Yeah.
Yeah, baby.
Now that guy, Steve Buddleman, has done that 29 other times.
So if you see him out there tomorrow, number 30 for him.
The 151st Kentucky Derby takes place tomorrow.
Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.
There's 23-year-olds competing for the 1.25-mile race.
The run for the rose is $5 million purse.
Winning horse gets $3 million.
The Kentucky Derby 00:04:33
Okay.
I mean, you want to win that bad boy.
7.02 Eastern when the race kicks off.
The horse called Journalist is the favorite.
Favouritism, right?
Journalism.
Journalism is one of the favorites.
Journalism and Sandman are the two favorites.
And then the longest shot is this Neil Kwis that is 57 to 1.
And then there's another one, 50 to 1, this Bazi, or Baza, B-A-E-Z-A, however they pronounce it.
No problem, but he's 50 to 1.
This has been going on since 1875.
So it's the oldest continuously held sporting event and the first leg, obviously, of the Triple Crown.
I've not been.
I've always wanted to go.
I just never have been to the Kentucky Derby.
I've only been to Preakness.
Never been to the Kentucky Derby.
Yeah.
Glenn and I were not a Baltimore.
I was a Jew fam.
No.
Well, no.
No.
But I will tell you, we did our show from the infield of Preakness.
That was a wild ride.
Yeah, I bet.
There were a couple of people that were slightly inebriated at the race.
At the race, yeah.
We were surprised.
It's like, whoa, no, people get drunk here?
That's really weird.
In those days, I'm surprised Glenn wasn't.
He actually didn't, you know, contrary to popular belief, did not drink while on the air.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
Again, I'm surprised Glenn.
I'm surprised.
Yeah, okay.
Sure, whatever you say.
So you've got that happening this weekend.
Plus, another thing that's happening tomorrow.
I mean, I know spring is in the air, and it's a celebration tomorrow, this weekend, but it's Naked Gardening Day, and you need to get out there and celebrate.
Lawn Starter dug into the data to uncover the best cities in the United States for naked gardening.
And they analyzed 500 biggest U.S. cities using metrics like nudist populations, public nudity laws, Google search interest, and even the forecast for World Naked Gardening Day.
So the top 10 cities.
Number 10, Philadelphia.
Number 9, Portland, Oregon.
Number 8, Macon, Georgia.
Greenville, North Carolina, 7.
Lake Charles, Louisiana, number 6.
Asheville, North Carolina, number 5.
Atlanta, Georgia, number 4.
Austin, Texas, number 3.
Seattle, Washington, number 2.
The number one city where you can be sure we're going to see all kinds of pictures of naked gardening coming from their Instagram accounts, Miami, Florida.
And what do they base that on?
How many people show up for it?
Or where it's warm enough to actually garden?
You just get naked.
Wave you out there.
Are you wave it to your neighbors?
You're doing a little naked gardening and celebrating naked gardening day.
A lot of people celebrate that, do they?
Sure.
Sure.
All right.
Just hashtag it naked gardening and you're sure it'll show up on your feed.
Dallas is 49th.
Fort Worth is like 234th.
So there's probably not going to be a lot of naked gardening.
Probably not.
Snack of the woods.
The mean streets of Helena, Montana.
Yeah.
Not even on the list.
No, wow.
Not even on the list.
Wow.
They do have Missoula on the list.
Oh, really?
Montana.
Yeah.
276th.
Okay.
Yeah.
And so Florida has 38 cities.
Texas has 54 cities.
And the number one state.
California.
Absolutely.
Well over 100 cities on the list for naked gardening.
So have fun celebrating.
That's weird.
I've never heard of it.
Have you ever heard of it before?
I've never heard of naked gardening.
Yeah, we've got to be able to do it.
I worked on it.
Yeah, well, I like to bring up this celebration.
That was a dumb question.
Of course, you've heard of it.
You've talked about it.
You've probably celebrated and participated.
I don't necessarily always celebrate on the actual holiday.
No, sure.
Naked gardening, sure.
Who doesn't want to be out there pulling weeds naked?
I don't know anybody who doesn't.
That's what I'm saying.
Sell one.
Of course you do.
So have fun.
Okay.
Can't wait.
And it's tomorrow, right?
Don't do it today.
Celebration is a story.
Yeah, don't do it today.
I mean, sure, go ahead.
If you want to, go ahead.
But it's not part of the celebration.
Okay.
All right.
Yeah.
Wash Thrifted Clothes Before Wearing 00:06:34
Good rule of thumb here is wash them before you wear them.
I know you, like me, Pat, like to shop at thrift stores.
And a helpful tip.
Religiously.
Helpful tip is to wash your newly bought clothes before wearing them, especially if they're from a second-hand store.
Now, they're telling you to wash your clothes, you know, even if they're brand new for sure, but especially when they come from a thrift store, you need to wash them right away.
And apparently, this TikToker, OneNeverTwo1, preferred only to be referred to by a social media name, contracted a skin infection that he's blaming on the never-washed thrift clothes.
He explained in his video that he contracted molluscum contagionism, a viral skin infection that consists of small raised bumps on the skin.
And he looks, it does not look fun.
I don't know that I wish that on anyone.
Now, Apparently, there's no requirement.
You just got to keep it clean.
There's no medicine that will take care of it.
They just go away in like six months to two years.
What?
Yeah.
Six months to two years?
Yeah.
Now they claim here that the skin disease has often spread through skin to skin or sexual contact.
The TikToker blames it on unwashed thrifted clothes.
Okay.
Sure.
Oof.
Whatever you say.
The content, let's see, this Francis Cozen, a Cornell University senior lecturer in fiber science and apparel design.
That's a good gig right there.
Garments often are treated with a fabric softener, a stain-resistant or water-repellent coating, or an anti-mildew agent that can cause irritation, redness, or itching.
You can also catch a ringworm.
So according to the Mayo Clinic, you don't want that itchy, scaly, contagious ringworm.
You don't want that.
You don't want that.
No, I do not.
That spreads through clothing, towels, bedding.
Oh, you don't want that.
So wash them before you wear them.
Wash them before you wear them.
Most importantly, coming from a thrift store, but even new stuff, you need to please wash them before you wear them.

So Florida has a new bill out that could impact drinking water, and it's headed to Governor DeSantis' desk for his signature.
State lawmakers voted for a bill that would prohibit local governments from adding fluoride to the water.
Supporters, of course, argue that the government should not decide whether fluoride is added to the water.
And opponents measure say it's going to prove if they take it away, people are going to get more cavities.
And fluoridation has been one of the most effective and affordable public health measures in American history.
This bill takes a safe and proven and affordable public health tool and rips it away.
But they're hoping that this goes through, and according to some of the state representatives, it's not about fluoride.
It's about your liberty.
Okay, calm down.
But fluoride is used in 29 counties in Florida.
And DeSantis, you know, I don't know that he'll sign this bill because it's part of a bigger bill.
I mean, he wants the counties to stop using fluoride.
But as usual, it's not, the bill isn't just that.
It's in this, they've got it in this giant Florida farm bill, which has a whole bunch of other stuff in it.
And so we'll see if he actually will sign this bill.
Who knows?
I love the one Florida representative who said One of the things that they talk about in this bill would be that it would prevent labeling plant-based products as milk or meat, but only if a number of other southern states also pass such legislation and they're talking about mislabeling and it's just another bogged down government bill.
That's what it sounds like to me.
And people are all upset and saying that I'm not confused whether it's almond milk or an impossible burger.
I'm not confused when I'm buying a product.
We don't need to have this kind of ruling over private, over private companies.
Tend to agree with that.
So we'll see if DeSantis, if he signs the bill, it goes into effect July 1st.
Now, if they pass this, Florida becomes the second state after Utah to restrict Florida to their water.
So as all the people are.
I think you should be able to choose whether or not people are toothless in Utah.
No, you should be able to choose whether or not fluoride is in your water.
That's what I think.
That's what I think.
Yeah.
Do you have a different tap?
No, you just, I mean, I guess you vote on it.
For counties, county can vote on it.
Yeah.
Or statewide or whatever.
Yeah.
You could choose.
I mean, you've got fluoride in your toothpaste if you want it.
You got it there, right?
Do you need it in your drinking?
Just ripping it away from people that's not on the water.
There's no way for them to get fluoride.
No other way.
No other way.
Okay.
Wow.
That's amazing.
I know.
People should be able to choose.
Yeah, they should.
Absolutely.
The movie Minecraft, I'm sorry, a Minecraft movie has been in theaters, what, this is the fifth week, I think, four to five weeks now, made north of 380 million domestically and north of 816 million globally.
2025's biggest hit to date.
Yeah.
So the chicken jockey scene isn't only a chicken-centric moment from a Minecraft movie causing a sensation.
Jack Black's musical ode to the impossible to prepare in real life dish Lava Chicken has made it into Billboard's Hot 100 chart at number 78.
The song Steve's Lava Chicken has been featured in 280,000 plus TikTok videos, streamed almost 22 million times on Spotify.
Wow.
And according to Jason Momoa in the movie, it sucks butt, but it doesn't suck butt in real life.
It's 34 seconds long, which makes it the shortest song ever to make it onto Billboard's 67-year-old hot list.
And it's not the first song from a video game or movie to chart.
And it's not Jack Black's first silly song because his song Peaches, sung by the Lovesick Bowser and the Super Mario Brothers, reached number 58 a couple years ago of the Hot 100.
Jack Black's Lava Chicken Charting 00:15:58
Wow.
So you're not the only people hearing the song in your feeds, in your TikTok feed.
Have you seen that movie yet?
I have not.
No, I haven't either.
I have not.
I think my kids went.
I think they went.
I don't know.
I saw some Minecraft stuff in the house because they love Minecraft.
Paraphernalia.
Yeah, so if you will.
I think they went.
But you didn't hear if it was obnoxious.
Maybe they did because I didn't hear about that.
Yeah.
I didn't hear if they were obnoxious because people were getting wound up.
Yeah.
That everybody was throwing popcorn around and having fun.
Heaven forbid these kids have fun in the theater, Pat.
You don't want that.
You don't.
You do not want that.
You don't.

So it'd be like five and a half or even over.
Six.
We might be up to a fat five.
Six.
Yeah, okay.
I'm extra today.
All right.
A little fun fact you can use at parties this weekend.
Tyler Schook.
You know, he was drafted this weekend, this past weekend.
And not only is he going to be known for his beautiful wife Jordan that went viral from draft weekend.
Oh, yeah.
She was a big hit online.
A big hit.
And this is him getting the call for the draft.
And after that, or is that his mom?
No, that's wife.
That's his wife.
That's wife, Jordan.
Yeah.
So not only does he have that going for him, he was born in September of 1999.
All right.
So he played college in Oregon, Texas Tech, Louisville, and he was a second-round draft pick here this last draft going to the New Orleans Saints.
He will be the last player drafted, born in the 1990s.
Oh, wow.
Really?
Yeah.
So.
Well, I guess so.
Yeah.
Because he's probably, you're, what, 25 at least?
He's 26.
Almost 26.
25.
Yeah.
Gonna turn 26 this year.
Born in 1999.
He's the last one.
Wow.
I know.
I know.
Huh.
Yeah.
Last player born in the 90s, last player born in the last millennium.
Right.
That's amazing.
Right.
Think about it.
Think about it.
To use a Jeff Fisher line.
Thank you.
So go ahead and use that this weekend at your parties.
Go ahead.
You're welcome.
It's a good fun fact.
That's a fun fact.
Yeah.
That's a fun one to use.
So I highly recommend it.
Nothing wrong with that.
All right.
We've got Kamala Harris, who is seemingly, I don't know if she's on the campaign trail again.
She seems to be ramping things back up.
She does.
She's been making them.
I mean, we've been seeing her mug out there making all her little speeches around.
Here she is talking about elephants.
This is.
In fact, please allow me, friends, to digress for a moment.
Okay.
It's kind of dark in here, but I'm asking for a show of hands.
Who saw that video from a couple of weeks ago?
The one of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo.
Yeah, I saw it.
I did.
I did you.
Yeah, I saw it.
Google it.
It was an earthquake.
So that's it.
to Google and I'll use YouTube and see it on my mind.
If I'm asking what you've been thinking about these days, well.
She's so fake and so phony.
She's talking about the elephants that got into a circle, right?
To protect their children that they didn't have.
And they didn't have to protect children from the earthquake.
There's nothing you can do, elephants.
Okay.
If the earthquake is either going to swallow you or it's not.
You can't help them with the circle.
what they do next week there's another special surprise coming up on the view Oh, I can't wait.
It's going to be so tell you about that fun coming up.
But I will tell you this: for the last four years, I've felt less welcome in my home.
That's for sure.
Anybody who had common sense felt less welcome in their home the last four years.
Thank goodness we feel more comfortable in our home now because common sense is beginning to return to the United States of America.
Thank you very much.
Some things are not returning to the United States of America.

Okay, so shipments from China are going to be affected, according to the Port of Los Angeles, beginning this coming week.
The shipments from China are expected to plummet by 35%.
Oh, I have a story in front of me that says 65%.
Oh, wow.
65%?
Okay, I'm happy to see 35%.
So this is from the port.
What is yours from?
Who's saying it?
Actually, I don't know that.
I copied and pasted this story, and it said the cargo shipments from China to the U.S. Wait.
The shipments plummeted 65% in three weeks after the tariffs took effect in April.
So that's on top of your 35%.
So they're saying they're already down.
They've already noticed much from that, have we?
I mean, I haven't.
Really?
Maybe I don't go to Walmart enough.
I don't know.
They claim in this that they've called off about 80 trips from China to the U.S. this month.
So that's more than 60% cancellations during peak.
I mean, that's 60% more cancellations than during the peak of COVID.
Wow.
Really?
Then during COVID?
And COVID, that was serious.
Yeah.
There were some empty shelves during COVID.
You know, that was a weird time.
It was.
It was.
They expect one-third fewer arrivals next week compared to the same time last year.
It almost sounds like about 35%.
It does.
It sure does.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
But that's on top of the 65% already.
Wow.
Geez, that's not good.
No, no, there's not.
That can't be good, right?
According to our own port optimizer, this particular official says, which measures the loadings in Asia, will be down just a little bit over 35% next week compared to last year.
And it's a precipitous drop in volume with a number of American, major American retailers stopping all shipments from China based on the tariffs.
So that sounds like it's not China deciding they're going to send fewer products.
That sounds like it's our company saying, yeah, don't ship it here because we don't want the tariff slapped on it.
Yeah.
And that'd be, that's what Walmart, Target, Home Depot.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Saying don't send it.
Shipments from China make up about 45% of all business for the port of Los Angeles, though some transport companies will be looking to pick up goods at other points in Southeast Asia to try to fill up their ships.
Realistically speaking, until some accord or framework can be reached with China, the volume coming out of there, with the exception of a few different commodities, will be very light at best, according to this particular official.
Along with the lower volume of goods, he said he expects roughly a quarter of the usual number of arriving ships to the port to be canceled in May.
Wow.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah, they're already canceling.
I heard one pundit talk about this, that they were willing to have this happen.
And, you know, if my daughter has to get one doll instead of eight dollars for Christmas, so be it.
It's worth it.
It's worth it.
Now, I will say this.
This doesn't sound like there's going to be one doll.
Right.
Yeah.
Because now, if you go to the store now and you, I don't know what product would be missing, but if the shelf is empty, you're going to, you're, people are going to start, and I say you, people are going to start driving around looking for that product and buying more than one.
So now you get into hoarding for sure.
I mean, it's a domino effect.
Yeah, it is.
Yes, it is.
That's, I don't know what the word I'm looking for, not good.
So that, but that's the technical term.
It is.
It is the technical term.
You might want to dumb that down for the rest of us.
I'll say this, though.
There's, you know, hopefully American businesses can pick up the slack here.
There you go.
Maybe we can kick that into gear, which would be nice.
That would be very nice.
There is a problem, though.
You know, I have a small business, the cookie company, and we get a lot of boxes because we have to put our cookies into a box.
Yes.
And they go in a box.
And then you send the box to people at various places all over the country.
Okay, but the boxes, we wanted to do an American company.
We wanted Americans to make the boxes that we ship our American product in.
And so we tried.
And in fact, we went with a couple of American companies.
And yes, it cost more, but we were willing to pay a little bit more to be, you know, to be all-American.
Even the boxes that we ship them in.
And they weren't interested in our business.
Wait, what?
Because we're such a small company, didn't mean anything to them.
And so they screwed up our boxes and we called them and told them about it.
And they're like, yeah, well, that's what you got.
We can't really fix it now.
It's not worth it to us.
We're like, wait, what?
Wow.
Really?
So you're not, you don't stand behind your product?
No.
Well, we do, but not for little people like you.
We don't.
Right.
And so we went to another American company and had a similar experience with them.
Wow.
We finally had to just order it from China.
Didn't want to.
You've got to be able to get the product of the product what you want.
Right.
And you've got to have enough of the product to serve your customers.
Right.
Yes.
Even if it isn't $8 billion a month.
Right.
Yeah.
Even though, you know, we're not a company with 1,500 locations like some other cookie companies.
And I'm sure that we're happy to box up those cookies.
But, you know, we do a fairly decent amount.
We've got a lot of striving to become that.
And we are, yes.
I mean, right.
And it makes it hard when a company's telling you, yeah, no, whatever.
It's not worth it.
Right.
It's not worth it to us to fix your problem.
What kind of customer service is that?
That is you.
Yeah, right.
So I was really disappointed.
That was kind of a bummer.
That is disappointing.
Yeah.
So, you know, there are just various reasons why people turn to China for manufacturing because in some cases, they don't want your business.
Dissatisfying the customer.
Yeah, right.
Wow.
Right.
It's kind of weird.
It really surprised me and disappointed me.
When Libraries Close 00:04:05
Also coming out of Los Angeles is that there are 50,000 county workers in Los Angeles that were on strike for a couple days this week.
And here's what happened.
Because of it, it closed libraries and disrupted some administrative operations in the county.
How do you function if your county library closes?
I don't know.
Can you even imagine a catastrophe like that?
I cannot.
I don't know what I would do with my life if our county library closed.
I don't even know where to go.
I don't know who to turn to.
Who do you complain about it to?
I don't know.
I don't even know what to do.
I went out to complain to my lifeguard and he was off on a mental health day.
I didn't know what happened.
This is the kind of stuff that's going on in L.A. Unforeseen circumstances.
This is all in Los Angeles.
The port is having fewer deliveries.
The county has closed their library.
And the lifeguards are taking mental health days because of the dolphins on the bank.
And they're whining that nobody's making movies or TV shows there anymore.
They sure are.
They're passing new permitting processes, trying to get productions back into California.
Are they lowering the price?
And the state is trying to make a deal so that they have better protection.
Like a tax act breaks.
Yeah.
But Los Angeles City Council approved a measure to make the film permitting process less of a headache.
Okay.
Slashing fees, location discounts, red tape cutting.
Isn't that interesting?
That is, isn't it?
That they're doing that.
And they're doing that because everybody's going to the alternative.
Yeah.
That's what happens when you're too expensive and you don't care.
People go elsewhere.
So they come to Texas and film their movie here.
Or they go to Utah and film their movie there.
Or Georgia.
And so that's what's been happening.
Canada, too, is a big popular spot.
Yes.
Yeah.
Because they will offer you tax incentives and they won't charge you as much.
So where are you going to go do your show?
There.
There?
Where you can make more money, right?
I mean, it just, it only makes sense.
So they're starting to see the light in Southern California, are they?
Just a bit?
We'll see.
But if they film the movie there, let's say they bring the movie industry back there.
What's going to happen when the actors find out the county libraries are closed?
It's all over.
It's all over at that point.
They're going back to Canada.
They won't know what to do.
I mean, I'm just a flux right now, not knowing what to do for them.
I can barely finish the show just knowing that the county libraries in L.A. are closed right now.
I was trying to think the last time I was actually at a library.
Yeah.
That's what I was trying to think of the other day, too.
I remember now, and I bet just the same with you because we maybe not, but because we live in a fairly similar area, but voting.
I had to vote at the library.
Yes.
Yes.
I didn't actually vote there because ours is in a school or we go to the city building.
But the library's right there.
The library is right there.
Yes, it is.
Where I voted last was at the actual library.
The only thing I've been to the library in the last 15 years for was an HOA meeting that they held at the library one time.
And I'm like, oh, so this is what the library looks like.
You didn't hang out and peruse some of the books or anything?
No, I didn't, surprisingly.
Oh, well.
Yeah.
What are you going to do?
And now it's closed in Los Angeles.
Oh, God.
All right.
More coming up.

We've got to play this person who I'd never heard of until this week.
I had never heard of, is it Amber Ruffin?
Amber Ruffin.
Yeah.
Yeah, Amber Ruffin.
I'd never heard of her until she was canceled as the White House press party comedian comedian host.
So it's the big dinner they have to mock politicians and laugh at themselves.
And oh, it's just a wonderful gathering where everybody just gets along for a night.
Isn't it beautiful?
It really is a great event.
They don't necessarily get along.
Anyway, she said something about the Trump administration being filled with murderers.
So they said, you know what?
No.
We don't need you.
We don't need you.
And so they got somebody else.
And so Amber Ruffin showed up on the coven with the witch's brew that is the few.
And here's what she had to say to the witches at the coven.
People are saying that Trump did a bad job 100 days in.
I strongly disagree.
This man has done everything he has set out to do.
I'm black.
I'm terrified.
I'm scared for my trans friends.
And people who we know and love, our neighbors, are disappeared.
And that was the goal.
And he did it.
He did it.
He did exactly what he wanted to do because people are being disappeared.
Shut up.
What is that?
Who are you even talking about?
The Maryland man?
Is that what that's about?
They're not just disappeared.
They're here illegally.
And they're being deported to where they came from.
Oh, this is agonizing.
Just disappearing people.
Yeah, right.
All right.
Let her finish.
Feel less welcome in my home than I did, you know, last year.
And that's the goal.
That was the goal.
The stealing within us is the point.
That's the point.
That's the goal.
She's terrible.
Agonizing.
She's terrible.
The coven.
Yeah, you set him off all their hon. Did she?
What about how we felt the last four years of this, of the nightmare that was the Joe Biden administration, where you couldn't even define what a woman is?
Do you think we felt welcome in our country?
Those of us with common sense?
Geez.
And people are not being disappeared.
Disappeared.
This is just ridiculous rhetoric.
And if it was coming from Republicans about a Democrat, you would just be berated on every newscast and every website.
It would be unbearable.
And you'd be canceled.
You just, you probably wouldn't even have a job.
It's ridiculous.
Yeah, there are plenty of people being disappeared during the Joe Biden administration as far as saying the wrong thing.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, yeah.
Can't listen to them anymore.
You said the wrong thing.
Right.
I mean, it's just incredible.
Also, members of the Doge team sat down and they discussed the shocking things that they've been uncovering.
This is a great little discussion.
It is a great discussion.
That lets you write in on the innards of what's happening with Doge.
This was Jesse Waters, right?
I mean, Jesse was there.
Jesse Waters was there.
And here's what they were talking about.
In fact, payments to the Taliban in Afghanistan came up.
Wow.
Yeah, so it was by far the least peaceful agency that we've worked with, ironically.
Of course.
Additionally, we found that they were spending money on things like private jets.
And they even had a $130,000 contract with a former member of the Taliban.
This is real.
We don't encounter that at most agencies.
What was the money going to the Taliban for?
So it was a contractor.
They received $130,000 for generic services.
And to Elon's point, there was not actually a clear description of what the contractor should do for that is.
Was it for opium?
Unclear.
Good question.
Weapons.
Good question.
Or nothing.
Or nothing.
Or abroad.
Or yeah, nothing.
And you naturally have to ask the question, well, how did we get here?
Like, when the country was founded, there were only four agencies.
Today, there are over 400.
So there's been a 100x increase in the number of agencies since the founding of the nation.
And thanks to President Trump, he's now signed two executive orders to start to reduce the number of agencies in the government.
And the Institute of Peace was one of them, which is why our team went into trying to understand what was going on.
And that's when we found all of the craziness, like the weapons in their armory.
We found the payments to the Taliban.
Oh, yeah.
I'm going to try to hide the evidence.
Right.
So just a few hours after we got into their headquarters, we found that their chief accountant had actually deleted over a terabyte of accounting records from several years.
So you'd have to ask the question, well, why would somebody do that?
And the Doge team, fortunately, was able to recover that data with the help of a few great employees at the end.
Well, that was fortunate.
I think the most troubling thing was they received $55 million a year from Congress.
And any money that went unspent, instead of returning that to Congress, they would sweep it into a private bank account, which had no congressional oversight.
And that's what they would use to fund things like events at their headquarters and the private jets.
And so I think it's a great example because most Americans don't know what's going on at a lot of these smaller agencies.
And this is, I think, the most extreme case of some of the wasteful spend that we're finding.
So the agencies are hiding money from you.
Right.
They're sending it to the Taliban.
Yes.
They have loaded weapons in the department buildings at the Institute of Peace.
At the Institute of Peace.
The Institute of Peace.
That's right.
And that will.
So this is a cover-up when you guys roll in.
This one, yes, a cover-up.
It's a cover-up.
They did delete a vast amount of financial information.
That's really a definition of a cover-up.
Isn't that illegal to delete evidence?
Yes.
Yes.
I've read documents.
It's certainly illegal to delete accounting records that Congress would certainly want to know where the congressionally appropriated funds are going from taxpayers.
All right.
That's incredible.
And the left, the left continues to be pissed off that they're even doing this.
Yes.
That they're even looking into it.
That they're trying to recover information on where this money has gone.
They don't want them doing that.
Nope.
That's interesting, isn't it?
That Doge team is.
Oh, they're incredible.
They're doing incredible work.
Elon's gone now, though, right?
Yeah, I think yesterday or the day before.
They're on their own.
Who knows what they're going to do now?
Who knows?
But the amazing thing is, the headline on all of that will be, Doge shuts down the Institute of Peace.
They don't want peace.
Why doesn't Elon Musk want peace?
That's what they'll do.
That's exactly what they'll hide behind.
This is Glenn Beck.
Did you know that just like here in the U.S., Israel celebrates their Independence Day?
In case you missed it, this year, Israel's Independence Day was just a few days ago on May 1st.
But for the people of Israel, freedom is really nothing more than a daily struggle just to survive.
There's no real peace, only terror.
It's difficult to find moments of joy while there's so much suffering.
And the Israeli government relies on the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews for its ongoing help to make sure the elderly, the sick, the wounded soldiers, and impoverished families don't fall through the cracks.
We can't even imagine the courage of the Israeli people.
They're so brave and worthy of our prayers that we'd like to ask you for a gift to the fellowship today.
It'll provide lifesaving aid, medicine, hearty meals, safety, and comfort.
And I believe when we bless God's people of Israel, we unlock God's blessing in our own lives as well.
So show your support for Israel by making a life-saving gift today.

Glenn Beck.
Miss this show.
Listen anytime, anywhere podcasts are found.
Stick around.
or after the break.
Pat Gray, Jeff Fisher for Glenn, who is in Italy.
Back sometime next week.
Triple 8727, BECK.
Oh, wow.
This is, it just goes to show the callousness of this administration.
First of all, people don't feel safe in their homes anymore, right?
Because we learned that from Amber Ruffin.
Learned that from her just a few minutes ago.
Now, President Trump signed an executive order late last night terminating federal funding for National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service, otherwise known as PBS.
This is PBS.
Love it.
I love that.
This is like a century in the making, and nobody had the giblets to do it until Donald Trump.
I mean, other people have talked about it.
You know, they're pretty biased.
Maybe we should do something about the federal funding.
And nobody ever does.
Nobody's ever addressed it until now.
So great.
So they can make it on their own.
Yeah.
Well, and that'd be fine.
If you can continue your biased journalism through private funding, go ahead.
I don't think I should be and you should be expected to pay for it.
No.
NPR and PBS, which have long been targeted for cuts by conservatives, both receive partial funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which the president argued is unnecessary in the current media environment.
And he's exactly right about that.
There is no reason we should be funding it.
And if you love it, support it.
Go ahead.
Give them your own money.
Yeah.
If you believe in it so much.
And some have.
I mean, we touched on, I don't know if we talked about it on or off the air, but Cheryl Crowe was whining about living in Tennessee and how she doesn't feel safe at her home in Texas.
Oh, yeah.
She's another one who doesn't feel safe.
Right.
Shut up.
She could live anywhere on the planet, but I've decided where I live.
I'm going to complain about.
She sold her Tesla and made a big deal about, you know, because of President Musk.
And she donated that money to NPR, I think.
So, I mean, she's at least doing that.
I mean, good for her.
I mean, at least she's doing that.
I get it.
But, you know, do that.
Yeah, do what you want with your own money.
Do that.
You want to waste it with PBS and NPR?
Fine.
It's on you.
Go ahead.
All right.
You know, and PBS, they already have sponsors.
They already have people who donate.
This program made possible through the donation, the generous gift of blah, Right.
I'll do more of that.
Right.
If you're not getting your 50 million in federal funding, find it somewhere else.
Every other weekend, you can have a yard sale and sell your CDs and DVDs.
Exactly.
Do your documentary shows, which many I've actually watched.
Have you?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, do all that or dry up and blow away.
I don't really care what you do.
Frankly.
What about the people who listen, Pat?
Yeah, well, they can also dry up and blow away.
I mean, we're not responsible for it.
Well, they have anything else to listen to have they?
Yeah, there's a couple of things they could listen to instead of NBR PBS.
Yeah, really.
I mean, you do a show every day.
I do.
They could listen to me.
Sure.
Yeah, they could.
They could listen to this show, the Glenn Beck program, right here.
I mean, there's plenty of options.
And they're, you know, virtually free.
Like, this show is free for the taking, for the listening.
There you go.
So congratulations.
I do a show every day that's free.
Chewing the fat.
All you do is just subscribe.
You're good to go.
Have you managed to keep that price free?
I have.
I have.
I've worked hard.
For right now, if you subscribe today, right now, on a platform of your choice, Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher.
It's free.
Can you guarantee it'll always be free, though?
No.
No one can make that guarantee, Pat.
Well, I appreciate your effort, though, on our behalf.
I really do.
I will say that the odds are in your favor.
Well, I can't make that guarantee.
They are in my favor.
Okay, good.
All right.
Well, good.
Now, if it ever becomes problematic where you need more money to make it happen, could you go do fundraising?
Okay.
All right.
I'll put packages together.
We'll do that.
Good.
I'll be looking forward to that.
All right.
Triple 8727 Beck.
Also, apparently, we've got a measles outbreak that continues and just is not subsiding.
The thing is, is we just had, this is around this neck of the woods here in northern Texas in Denton County, and they have confirmed a case.
Because it was in West Texas, right?
Now it has spread.
Well, they have confirmed a case.
A case.
Hey, Pat.
And they have done a complete rundown of contact tracing because this person went to a number of places in a couple of days.
And then we found out that that person was infected.
So, I mean, they list every place this person went to.
Oh, really?
Pretty burrito, Donut Plaza, Rangers, Public.
Oh, that's a Rangers game.
Guitars and Growlers, Walmart.
They went Winco.
There are a few other Methodist church, another restaurant.
All of this is in Denton?
No, in the greater DFW era.
Oh, wow.
Well, we're all dead then, right?
All 8 million of us are drunk.
It's not immediately clear if this person was vaccinated, but measles are highly contagious.
Yes, they are.
Dude, nine out of ten people nearby will become infected if they are not protected.
So.
Infected.
if not protected.
Thank you.
I really seriously don't understand why we're treating this like it's a like it's bubonic plague or it's uh Ebola or something.
Titanic Lifeboat Display 00:06:26
I had measles when I was a kid.
It was no big deal.
And again, people had measles parties back in the day so that everybody had chickenpox, bumps, all that would take the kids, line them up so we got to get it and get it out of the way.
And because you want to get it as a child rather than as an adult when it could do more damage.
Of course.
So they tried to get it out of the way.
So I don't know.
I mean, on my show a month or so ago, we highlighted the difference between the way we treat measles today as compared to like 1969, 1970, when the Brady's bunch, the Brady bunch, it was funny at the time.
We all got measles and we had a measles party and it was fun.
Right.
Took the day off and we didn't go to school.
It was great.
Right.
To today when it was, what was it?
An SVU presentation?
It was one of the SVU shows.
Right.
Where it's a national emergency.
People are dying.
Yeah.
A completely different feel to it.
And I mean, one person has measles and we have to contact trace that person.
Insane.
It's really insane.
I don't quite understand the scaredness.
Yeah, I don't either.
The hysteria is seemingly ridiculous to me.
Now, was this guy in Denton who had measles, was he anywhere near, let's say, the Titanic?
I'm using gender language because I don't know if it was the guy.
Were they anywhere near, for instance, the Titanic?
It was not on the list.
I was cool that they were, but that was not on the list.
Okay.
It's close because I think it would be on the list.
So I was there.
So I'd be.
So you went to see the Titanic.
Is it a traveling museum exhibit?
Is that what it is?
I guess so.
Yeah.
I mean, I saw this years ago.
Yeah, I've seen them in Houston.
And I. They've got so much more information and so much more artifacts and stuff now.
It should be all.
I know a lot more about it now than they did back then.
And we have technology to make it.
I mean, do they have like lifeboat rides or anything at the?
No lifeboat rides.
That's what.
No.
But very cool.
And they've recreated like, you know, that beautiful staircase that you see in Titanic movie.
They recreated that and some of the suites.
And they've got a lot of paraphernalia that didn't necessarily come from the Titanic because a lot of that is at the bottom of the ocean now.
And we don't have access to it.
These are authentic recreations or authentic actual items from the twin, like the other boats that were just like the Titanic.
I think one was called the Olympic or something.
Okay.
The other was whatever it was.
I mean, that makes it better than the certified replica.
Yes.
Because they were actually used at the time.
So you see, and some of the things are actually from the Titanic.
For instance, there's a cup and a saucer that came from the Titanic because the person who presented them to authorities and passed it down through the generations stole it from the ship and got off.
Oh, there you go.
Got off the ship in Ireland before it sank.
So fortunately, we had a thief on board and they took some of the stuff.
Bless his heart.
Bless their heart.
Again, a little gender issue there.
We don't know if it was, in fact, a he.
But one of the things I found fascinating at the display was they talked about how well stocked the ship was because, you know, there was a lot of rich people on it.
Yeah, this was not what, not for the unwashed masses.
No, well, they could be there, but it cost, and I couldn't believe how much it cost for the third-class passengers.
It was 40 bucks to get a third-class ticket, which at the time, adjusted for inflation, would be $940.
Which is why in a documentary, Jack was happy to win it in a card game.
Yes, right.
Okay.
First-class tickets were $3,300, which is the equivalent of $77,000 today.
That's a lot of money.
A lot of money.
I mean, that's incredible.
That's why the Richie Hoity Toits were so hoity-toity.
They spent a lot of money to get on that battle.
And then, you know, as a result, most of them died.
Yeah.
John Astor died.
He went down with the ship.
Guggenheim went down with the ship.
He and his wife, he actually had a chance to get on one of the, and this is what you'll see if you go to the exhibit, and I highly recommend it.
It's really fun.
It's very interesting.
But Guggenheim and his wife were at the lifeboats, and he was offered a place on the lifeboat.
And he said, no, I will not take the life of some woman or child who should be getting my place just because I was a coward.
So he didn't.
And his wife wouldn't get on.
She said, where you go, I go.
Like a good woman.
Yep.
Exactly.
So she went back to the kitchen and made him lunch.
Thank you.
Before they sank.
But it was a darn good lunch, I understand.
We just did the story about the guy who died, and they just auctioned off his letters.
He was one of the first ones that wrote a letter from the Titanic, and it talked about his life.
He was the first person to die that was a survivor from it.
He survived.
He jumped in the water, rode on top of a lifeboat that was turned upside down, and then was rescued.
And he suffered from damage being in that cold water for that amount of time for the first whole time.
I was in there for a couple hours.
Yeah, I don't know how, I mean, I don't know the whole time.
But, you know, those people, that was horrific.
It was.
It was horrific.
It was.
Even if you survived.
One of the things they have at the display is this giant, it looks like an iceberg, but it was created because you can actually touch it.
They want you to.
So you can feel how cold it is because they've got it in liquid nitrogen.
Nitrogen.
And that particular display is 32 degrees.
The actual water was a little bit colder than that at 30 degrees.
Wow.
And so it shows just what they went through once they hit the water.
Because it was not pleasant.
The Horrific Cold Water Survival 00:04:25
Right.
They were not taking a steam bath.
How long did it last?
About a second and a half.
But fascinating exhibit.
It's really good.
And they talked about the provisions that they had on board, which included 75,000 pounds of fresh meat, 11,000 pounds of fresh fish.
Wow.
4,000 pounds of salted and dry fish, 7,500 pounds of bacon and ham, 25,000 pounds of poultry and game.
40,000 eggs, 2,500 pounds of sausage, or as you would call it, Jeffy, breakfast.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I mean, that's a good start.
Right?
That's a good start.
Right.
That's what I figured when I saw the list of it.
I thought, this is just a good start for Jeffy.
888 900, 888 727, B-E-C-K.
More coming up.
Can't believe he used to be a top 40 disc jockey.
But anyway, we still love him.

No, don't say that.
They are.
She's got a lot of backlash.
Oh, wow.
She's got a lot of backlash.
She's.
Pat and Jeffy, by the way, for Glenn today.
Apparently, things are not.
Are they going a little rocky for Katy Perry?
She claims battered and bruised.
Don't say that.
Because, Pat, the internet is a dumbass.
Because she's an astronaut and people are jealous.
Is that what it is?
That's exactly what it is.
She's a very famous singing astronaut.
That's exactly what it is.
Who has been to space?
And because you haven't, you got to berate her for it.
Is that what it is?
That's exactly what it is.
And she said, look, the internet is a dumping ground.
Yeah.
The unhinged and the unhealed.
Oh, wow.
And so she's right about that.
While she's felt battered and bruised, she kept looking to the light, Pat.
Oh, good for her.
Good for her.
And I don't know how the new concert is going.
She's got a new concert happening, concert tour.
I'm sure it's going well.
I'm sure it is.
I'm sure it is.
Especially terrific.
I mean, she's an astronaut now, a Forbar astronaut.
Wouldn't you want to see a singing astronaut?
I would.
Look, she said before they launched, and I don't know if that's changed or not, but before they launched, she said that they were going to put the ass back in astronaut.
So, I mean, I believe that happened.
Did she really say that?
Yes.
I'm going to put the ass back in astronauts.
She said she said that.
We appreciate you thinking I would lie about something like that.
So.
All right.
Well, way to go, Katie.
This whole, you know, this ridicule of her online has got to stop.
You know, nobody would have ridiculed any of them had they not made such a big deal out of how great they were because they did it.
You know what I mean?
I do.
If they didn't act like, hey, we are record-setting history makers here.
Astronauts.
Astronauts.
Yeah, you went up for four minutes, okay?
Get over yourself.
Dumbed down.
