[00:02:41] Yeah, you know, normally when you're trying to put together a holiday show, the filling in for Glenn, always an honor, by the way, but normally it's a little slower paced, you know, and I don't know if there's hazard pay involved today, but Normally, normally you're talking about things. [00:03:04] This time of year, what it's fireworks stories. [00:03:06] I mean, there are still plenty of those, you know, but this Yahoo blew off his finger or that one. [00:03:13] In fact, there are some good fireworks stories. [00:03:15] So try and make some room for those. === Glorious Chaos Behind the Scenes (11:12) === [00:03:17] Some wild things that have happened with one that I think set off. [00:03:24] It's a glorious, it's like a Clark Griswold moment. [00:03:27] There's one out there. [00:03:28] And honestly, it's kind of prophetic because it's sort of, to me, it's a great picture of what's happening to this country right now. [00:03:35] There's one firework that essentially, I don't know if there was a snafu, the whole thing went up the whole show in like a matter of a minute instead of supposedly timed and precision, all with a computer and all that, but it all went off at the same time. [00:03:56] It was glorious. [00:03:57] It's absolutely glorious to watch. [00:03:59] And I feel like that's what we're watching with the country right now. [00:04:03] Well, it's a bit of a dumpster fire. [00:04:07] But that's what we're supposed to be talking about right now, the cost of the 4th of July meal and things of that nature. [00:04:15] But that's not where we are, is it? [00:04:17] No, we've got full speed ahead, a five alarm, four alarm. [00:04:21] I don't know. [00:04:21] I mean, whatever, how many alarms? [00:04:23] All the alarms on the fire right now. [00:04:26] And it is. [00:04:27] It is a dumpster fire. [00:04:28] It is. [00:04:29] Every day I say it's like we're drinking from a fire hose because every day there's another story and all this, it just all of it continues to pile up one after the other. [00:04:40] And it's crazy. [00:04:42] You almost can't stay on top of it. [00:04:43] And I do this for a living. [00:04:45] That's the nutty part of it. [00:04:47] I'm coming to you from the great state of Michigan, the Mitten, where I host a couple of programs. [00:04:53] One, Detroit's News Talk Superstation, 9, 10 a.m. [00:04:56] I do the morning show there, 6 to 9, and then on Wood Radio, that's News Radio Wood 1300 and 1069 FM in Grand Rapids, 9 to 10. [00:05:05] And I do four and a half hours, but do an after-show podcast after I do all that. [00:05:10] Four and a half hours every day, and it's still not enough time to get to everything. [00:05:17] So I long, I yearn for the days, the quiet days. [00:05:21] I'm looking at the stories yesterday and thought to myself, boy, it sure is, sure is a slow news day. [00:05:28] Whatever shall we talk about? [00:05:29] And I mean, just looking at some of the things that are happening. [00:05:34] Of course, the Biden story. [00:05:36] Probably the biggest story. [00:05:37] You have a president, commander-in-chief, who's not in command of all of his faculties. [00:05:41] You've got a guy who's clearly going through it, dementia, whatever. [00:05:46] I don't know. [00:05:49] You can determine that for yourself. [00:05:51] He's not altogether there. [00:05:52] And he hasn't been for quite some time. [00:05:54] And that makes you really concerned. [00:05:55] Not just because of the politics at stake in the race and folks are looking at, but the bigger thing for me is the guy's got his finger on the button, so to speak. [00:06:06] He's the one that's supposed to have the codes and all that. [00:06:09] But I guess the maybe the good news is he probably wouldn't remember the codes if he had to launch. [00:06:17] So that kind of accidentally get us into a but the world is watching. [00:06:22] That's the thing about the debate I saw the other day. [00:06:24] The world is watching. [00:06:26] Not just us. [00:06:27] Putin saw it. [00:06:28] G saw it. [00:06:30] Kim Jong-un, all the folks in Iran, they all, all the people that want to do this country damage and harm, they all saw what you and I saw. [00:06:40] So I've got rumors, galore. [00:06:43] There are a lot of questions. [00:06:43] Is he in? [00:06:44] Is he out? [00:06:44] We've got all of that. [00:06:46] We're going to break some of that apart. [00:06:48] There's some. [00:06:50] There's even one that's a glorious conspiracy theory. [00:06:53] I mean, this one, and I love a good conspiracy theory. [00:06:56] I'll get the tinfoil hat on with you. [00:06:58] I'll go down in the bunker. [00:07:02] I do. [00:07:03] Most of them, I can pretty much, you know, I can tell you like in a matter of moments whether that's legit or not. [00:07:11] But I do enjoy the critical thinking. [00:07:16] So I'll go down to the bunker with you coming up because there's a glory. [00:07:19] There's a big, bad conspiracy theory out there. [00:07:22] That's a good one. [00:07:23] That's actually being floated right now. [00:07:25] I think it was Newsmax talk to a professor. [00:07:32] I'll figure out where he's. [00:07:34] I can't remember where he's from, but he's got the conspiracy theory to beat all conspiracy theories right now about what is really going on and where this is all headed with with Biden. [00:07:47] You know, because the question is, and has been over the last, I don't know, week now since the debate is the guy getting out. [00:07:57] Because you think to yourself, there's just no way after everything you saw in that debate, there's just no way. [00:08:04] And by the way, we have fresh audio for you today. [00:08:06] We have fresh clips, fresh cuts, freshly squeezed just for you, just actually from yesterday. [00:08:15] These are fresh and ready to go. [00:08:17] Some of them as recent as just last night in the fireworks. [00:08:24] Different kind of fireworks show at the White House this year. [00:08:27] He's desperately clinging to power. [00:08:30] Everything I hear behind the scenes is he doesn't want to go. [00:08:33] And what I mean by that is that Jill doesn't want to go. [00:08:36] And the rest of the family, they are, you know, I'm not telling you anything you don't know, but they are desperately clinging to power. [00:08:43] But it's not only that, there is, unfortunately, for this family, a threat of prosecution. [00:08:48] And when I say prosecution, I mean further prosecution Because Hunter's already wrapped at it. [00:08:55] By the way, did you see the convicted felon? [00:08:58] Hunter Biden, convicted felon, attending briefings and whatnot inside the White House with Joey sitting next to him. [00:09:04] He doesn't trust the aides, apparently. [00:09:06] And so Hunter's there asking questions, taking notes. [00:09:11] I know they'll probably selling that information off to the highest bidder. [00:09:17] Is he getting classified briefings? [00:09:19] That's a question that lingers out there as well, I don't think. [00:09:23] Is he getting classified briefings? [00:09:27] Somebody does he has like security clearance? [00:09:29] Somebody want to look take a look at that? [00:09:33] Well, it's all part of the question of what's happening again. [00:09:38] They're clinging to power because of the pardon, obviously. [00:09:41] It's not just Hunter, but it's the entire family that's implicated in this mess. [00:09:45] It's the Biden crime family. [00:09:49] And yes, they are all implicated in what's essentially been going on behind the scenes. [00:09:58] That's part of what this is about. [00:10:01] But there's another whole other group of folks. [00:10:05] In fact, I believe there's dueling or battling factions inside the party right now. [00:10:11] You've got Biden and his family, and they are entrenched. [00:10:14] They've dug their hills in. [00:10:16] Dr. Jill doesn't want to go anywhere. [00:10:19] In fact, she does go. [00:10:22] She's out campaigning for Josh. [00:10:24] She was just in Michigan just the other day. [00:10:26] Something interesting happened when she was here. [00:10:31] It's not what she did, it's what she didn't do that is truly fascinating and gives us a look, a window into what is really happening with the Democrats right now in this election. [00:10:45] And look, Republicans have their fair share of battling dumpster fires as well. [00:10:51] We do our fair share there too. [00:10:53] Plenty. [00:10:54] But Democrats, a lot of times it happens behind the scenes. [00:10:56] What you're starting to see now is it's leaking out into the open. [00:11:02] And we're starting to really get a glimpse as what's happening. [00:11:05] The knives are out. [00:11:07] So I mentioned the Bidens. [00:11:08] You've also got the Obamas. [00:11:10] You've got the Clintons in there too. [00:11:12] But the donor class may be the biggest threat or the biggest issue right now as they look at what is going to happen moving forward. [00:11:22] And not just what is or what can or what's even possible at this point? [00:11:27] Because there are a lot of constrictions on timelines. [00:11:30] There are a lot of constrictions on laws, state laws, and then the rules of the party and what they might do at the convention. [00:11:38] But aside from all that, you've also got whether the Democrats, the donors, that is, they have any stomach for all of this. [00:11:47] And that money, at least what we're hearing right now, is starting to dry up. [00:11:52] They're trying to figure out how they can push Joe out. [00:11:56] Because if he's dug in, there really is no moving forward on this unless you come up with a 25th Amendment. [00:12:06] And that's, there's a lot of loyalists in the cabinet. [00:12:08] That might be tough to do. [00:12:11] I'm not saying it can't happen. [00:12:16] Unfortunately, everything that we're watching these days, and people ask me, what do you think is going to happen? [00:12:20] I don't know. [00:12:21] I can't tell you. [00:12:22] A lot of times, anything's possible now. [00:12:26] We've now the window, that Overton window is just, I think it's been ripped wide open. [00:12:31] It's hanging by a thread at this point, and it's flapping in the breeze. [00:12:36] So I don't know what could happen. [00:12:38] I'm just telling you, all bets are off. [00:12:41] But the donors play a big role here. [00:12:43] So I'm going to get into some of these stories in just a moment. [00:12:46] We'll take a quick break and be back with more. [00:12:49] We got a jam-packed show for you today. [00:12:51] Byron Donalds will join us. [00:12:53] Congressman Byron Donalds, who's one of the VP shortlist folks for Trump VP. [00:12:58] We're also going to be hearing from Julie Kelly, who has been fantastic on top of all of these cases, Supreme Court issues, as well as the January 6th Trump cases, all of it. [00:13:09] She'll give us a rundown of what we've learned and more, some surprises tucked in as well. [00:13:15] Barkley, in for Glenn Beck today on the Glenn Beck program. [00:13:18] Back after this. [00:13:20] With our endless money printing and record debt, protecting wealth is more challenging than ever. [00:13:25] And if Biden is re-elected, he's promised to make it nearly impossible. [00:13:29] The gold standard for wealth preservation has always been gold or silver precious metals. [00:13:33] I strongly urge you to put a portion of your retirement portfolio in gold and silver. [00:13:38] I know, I know, it's a tough decision. [00:13:39] And who should you work with to buy gold? [00:13:41] The company that you can trust is Lear Capital, with over 27 years of experience, thousands of five-star reviews, plus $3 billion in trusted transactions. [00:13:49] Lear is the gold and silver industry leader now. [00:13:51] Lear is the first company that I trusted to buy gold from some 20 years ago. [00:13:54] My investment has quadrupled. [00:13:56] Join me and the thousands of satisfied customers who decided to swap some of our dollars for gold. [00:14:00] Seriously, what are you waiting for? [00:14:01] Call Lear Capital today, 800-889-3070. [00:14:05] Get your free gold guide and an IRA investor's kit. [00:14:08] When you call, make sure you ask how do you get up to $15,000 in bonus gold or silver with a qualifying purchase. [00:14:13] 800-89-3070. [00:14:15] Call 800-889-3070. [00:14:18] Remember, 800-889-3070. === Fresh Faces and Meeting Fallout (05:53) === [00:14:30] All right, so there was a big meeting that kind of quietly happened behind the scenes the other day. [00:14:36] They did talk about it, but it was all hush-hush, closed door. [00:14:40] And it was all the Democrat governors. [00:14:44] Justin Barkley in for Glenn Beck today on the Glenn Beck program. [00:14:47] All the Democrat governors that met with Biden in the White House and essentially laid it out for him. [00:14:55] I think it was a come to Jesus, but it was also sort of, and it had to be, I think, strategically done. [00:15:02] Because each of these governors, you have to remember, while they are going to be as eager as they can to knife Biden here or there wherever they can, or anyone, anyone who stands in their way, because each of them has that, well, they have that ambition to reach higher office. [00:15:24] And whether the window is now or again in 2028, each of these governors is taking a look. [00:15:29] In fact, we're going to dive into this coming up a little bit later in the bottom of the hour. [00:15:34] One of the possibilities and dig into who might else be on that list. [00:15:41] And who I think the obvious choice. [00:15:44] They really have no choice. [00:15:45] But we get into that a little bit later. [00:15:47] These governors, they essentially came and they even said this in front of the cameras. [00:15:52] Oh, we told them what our constituents told them, what they're. [00:15:55] We've listened to the people and this is the concerns that the people have and essentially, the ever since the news media turned and make no mistake, that was not by chance they got the green light. [00:16:06] Someone somewhere gave them the green light. [00:16:09] Chances are that's that's Obama. [00:16:13] He's the one who still has uh tentacles inside the media and maybe donor concerns as well. [00:16:21] So they have this uh we'll talk more about that here in just a moment that they had this meeting. [00:16:26] They come out and they say we told them what they're gonna. [00:16:28] Out of this, out of this meeting, comes some really interesting stuff. [00:16:32] Biden admits he's tired and needs to work less. [00:16:38] The guy's on vacation 30 40 percent of the time. [00:16:41] Anyway, he's at the beach. [00:16:44] These 20 governors met with Biden at the White House. [00:16:46] He says, i'm tired, I gotta just. [00:16:48] It's just my brain. [00:16:49] He says no, it's not just your brain. [00:16:52] That's a big deal. [00:16:54] We need your brain. [00:16:56] If you're the president of the United States, you need that brain more than anything else. [00:16:59] They, of course, blamed it on jet lag. [00:17:02] You know the other thing. [00:17:03] They blamed it on cold. [00:17:04] He had a cold. [00:17:05] Maybe it was some cold medicine and maybe it was just a cold. [00:17:10] Maybe he needed a little more sleep. [00:17:11] He had what was it? [00:17:12] Over a week to prepare and could have rested and all of these things. [00:17:15] No, i've been jet, jet lagged, been jet setting all of these things and, of course uh I, I don't think anybody buying it, just my brain. [00:17:26] He says they, they're gonna stop scheduling events post 8 p.m. [00:17:35] Post-8 p.m. [00:17:36] No more post-8 p.m. events for Biden. [00:17:40] I, um, anyway... [00:17:47] So you want to attack anyway, I guess just so you know, you got to do it after 8 p.m. and he'll be on board. [00:17:57] But they did a big one last night, which is kind of interesting. [00:18:00] We've got some of the audio video coming out of the big fireworks and 4th of July extravaganza. [00:18:07] All right. [00:18:07] So that brings us to the essentially, I think probably the most important piece here in what happens. [00:18:15] Does he stay or does he go? [00:18:21] I really, I do hope he stays. [00:18:26] I just think... [00:18:28] I just think it's a much easier contest if he does. [00:18:33] In fact, I believe it's no contest. [00:18:35] Pardon me for the election hope he stays. [00:18:38] But for the good of the country, I then wonder to myself, is he capable of discharging his duties as commander-in-chief? [00:18:45] So that's a solid and a fair question. [00:18:50] But, you know, anybody, anybody that comes in next, are they going to be as damaged? [00:18:59] And I don't mean that in the brain way. [00:19:01] I just mean in the polling sense. [00:19:05] You know, you bring somebody fresh in, it's a whole different battle, folks. [00:19:09] We have to be realistic about it. [00:19:10] I understand we've had a lot of good breaks lately, a lot of great things going our way. [00:19:15] But we have to be realistic. [00:19:16] When you bring somebody fresh or somebody new in, and by the way, this is what the donors realize. [00:19:21] They don't have any time or Republicans of the Trump campaign and the media that we do have on our side. [00:19:30] They don't have enough time to do enough of the damage when it comes to producing, creating negative images of that individual. [00:19:41] And so that's why this is such an important thing. [00:19:46] They could bring a fresh face in. [00:19:48] And by the way, this is what I believe the country wants more than anything else. [00:19:52] They want a fresh face. [00:19:53] And they've wanted it. [00:19:54] I think you look at the folks in the middle that call them the normies. [00:19:57] But, you know, the soccer moms, the people that aren't even paying attention. [00:20:01] They may have saw the debate. [00:20:02] They certainly saw the fallout from it, but they're not really paying attention. [00:20:09] They're enjoying summer right now. [00:20:10] They're doing everything that the normal average everyday. [00:20:13] People that get engaged, maybe at the end, these are the swing voters. [00:20:15] These are the people, the independents, whoever. [00:20:19] They just sort of float with the wind. === Why We Want a Fresh Face (03:35) === [00:20:23] Those people will buy in. [00:20:25] They want a fresh face because, and here's why. [00:20:28] They feel like whoever it might be, they just want to change. [00:20:30] They want something different. [00:20:31] Whoever that might be is going to give them peace and calm and just cut the chaos. [00:20:38] Here's the flaw in that thinking. [00:20:41] It is not going to get any better. [00:20:42] It's only going to get worse from here on out. [00:20:44] But the donors, the donors are trying to do their best to pull the money. [00:20:48] In fact, one of the things that they want to do right now, and they're talking about this, in fact, Ron Emmanuel's brother, Ari, out in Aspen in Colorado, big elitist think tank thing out there talking about this, how they're going to pull money from Biden's campaign and start putting it to down ballot races. [00:21:04] We're going to talk more about that and dig in who might some of these replacements be. [00:21:09] One, it probably definitely won't be after she stepped in it big time. [00:21:14] Coming up next, bottom of the hour, we'll have our conversation. [00:21:17] Former gubernatorial candidate, podcast host, an all-around great person. [00:21:21] Tudor Nixon joins us coming up on the Glenn Beck program. [00:21:25] You want to join in? [00:21:26] You can. [00:21:26] 888-727-BEC. [00:21:28] Love to hear from you. [00:21:29] 888-727-B-E-C-K. [00:21:31] Justin Barkley in for Glenn Beck today on the Glenn Beck Program. [00:21:46] When it comes to protecting those that matter most, you need a home security system you can trust. [00:21:51] For 10 years, I've trusted SimplySafe to protect my home and my family. [00:23:53] Good news, hope and encouragement for trying times. [00:23:56] JustinBarkley.com, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y. === Gretchen Whitmer's Political Gamble (11:18) === [00:23:59] We're talking about Biden. [00:24:01] We're talking about whether he stays or goes. [00:24:03] In fact, there's a big interview tonight. [00:24:05] George Snuffalopagus on ABC is going to sit down for a just hard ball, I'm sure. [00:24:13] Well, it'd be interesting to see. [00:24:14] I guess we're going to find out whether George plays ball with Biden or Obama. [00:24:18] We'll see whoever, however, it goes. [00:24:22] The media's turned on him. [00:24:23] So we'll see if he gets to tough questions or not. [00:24:27] The interesting thing about the interview is that it is taped. [00:24:30] It is recorded. [00:24:31] Sometime today, we're going to get the transcript. [00:24:34] And I haven't changed, I don't see if we have it yet, but we're going to get the transcript of the interview. [00:24:40] One of the questions, the thoughts people were wondering about this is would he use this time? [00:24:47] Could it possibly be that he might use this time to step down or aside at the very least and say, you know, for the sake of the country, whatever he might say, then I'm going to step aside. [00:25:02] And what happens next? [00:25:03] So we're hearing some question about that, whether it might be either today or maybe even next week or whatever that is. [00:25:13] There, again, are lots of reports from inside the White House. [00:25:17] And of course, like I said, Jill and the rest of the family, they don't want to go anywhere. [00:25:24] They get their heels dug in. [00:25:26] The knives are out, that's for sure, inside the Democrat Party. [00:25:30] Joining us now to talk a little bit about it. [00:25:32] She ran for governor here in Michigan, so she's keenly aware of one of the folks whose name has been tossed about here and there. [00:25:41] But after what has happened this last week or so, I don't know if that name is still in the running or not. [00:25:49] After everything that's sort of happened, she's stepped in it. [00:25:53] We'll talk about that coming up. [00:25:55] Tudor Dixon is joining us now. [00:25:56] It's got a podcast, tutordixon.com as well. [00:25:59] Tudor, always a pleasure. [00:26:01] Thank you so much for taking the time to talk about Big Gretch. [00:26:05] She's got a big book coming out. [00:26:07] And as the governor of Michigan, she certainly made a name for herself here. [00:26:12] And she's starting to make a similar name on the national scene as she's kind of stepped in it recently. [00:26:20] Yeah, absolutely. [00:26:21] Thanks for having me today. [00:26:24] Yeah, she has stepped in it recently because she strategically timed a book to come out on Monday of next week, right after the debate, which is very strange because if you think about it, politicians have one reason for releasing a book, and that's because they want the nation to notice them for the next big race. [00:26:44] So everybody says, What a genius. [00:26:47] She released this book knowing that there was the potential that Biden could end up getting kicked off the ticket. [00:26:54] But that backfired because once they saw, once the public saw how truly bad it was, the other Democrats and leadership went, what are you doing? [00:27:04] You are making this look like you are already ready to kick him off, that you want him to be one foot in the grave, that you are not a supporter of this president. [00:27:14] And then she starts tweeting out, hey, I support Joe Biden. [00:27:19] Give to my pack, not his pack, not to their campaign, not to Kamala, too big Gretsch. [00:27:28] And people started to go, wait a minute, this is actually not about him at all. [00:27:32] This is not about the Democrats at all. [00:27:34] This is purely about power for one person, which you know, Justin, has always been the case here in Michigan. [00:27:41] This is a person who has always been out for the next job and always for herself. [00:27:45] In fact, when we were running, we said, watch her. [00:27:49] She doesn't care about Michigan. [00:27:50] She won't be in Michigan after she gets reelected. [00:27:53] And sure enough, she wasn't. [00:27:55] She started traveling to other countries on our dime to try to show that she actually had some international experience, which she doesn't. [00:28:04] She has no foreign policy experience. [00:28:06] So she started to try to get people to come to Michigan and build their businesses because she's chased all of our businesses off. [00:28:13] We've lost half of our Fortune 500 businesses under Gretchen Whitmer. [00:28:17] The funny thing about it is the first business she goes to is a robotics company that makes it so that you can have your entire factory run through robotics and no people. [00:28:29] And she posts pictures. [00:28:30] There's not a soul in the plant because everything runs by robotics. [00:28:34] It's like, how could you crush more jobs? [00:28:36] How could you be even more idiotic than to go to a company that literally gets rid of jobs, but that's who's running Michigan and who wants to run our country? [00:28:47] You know, I think it's a warning for everyone who might be listening because a lot of folks don't know who she is. [00:28:53] If they do know her on the national scale, they know her as that woman from Michigan. [00:29:00] So what took a little bit of a flag from Trump is she was so bad with COVID. [00:29:05] And the numbers still point that out. [00:29:07] I know you could speak to that extensively, but thousands of seniors died because she sent sick patients from hospitals into nursing homes, infecting and killing thousands more who didn't need to die. [00:29:22] She closed businesses. [00:29:24] She did all sorts of things with the schools that just continue to be a mess for kids who are still trying to recover for all these things. [00:29:34] And of course, she's one of the worst lockdowners. [00:29:36] You remember she had the crazy, hey, you can go out on a boat if it doesn't have a motor on it. [00:29:41] You can buy pot from the weed store. [00:29:45] Yeah, we have recreational, legalized recreational marijuana here in Michigan. [00:29:49] So you can buy pot there. [00:29:50] You can buy liquor from the liquor store, but you couldn't buy potted plants or seeds in stores, which was really strange. [00:29:55] All of it, really, really strange. [00:29:58] And, you know, the nation may not be familiar with just how bad she is. [00:30:04] Yeah, don't forget, you could get an abortion, but you couldn't get a knee replacement. [00:30:08] And ultimately, these decisions majorly hurt not only our hospitals, but our businesses. [00:30:15] And the hospitals is a big deal. [00:30:17] We have a lot of rural hospitals. [00:30:19] They live off of those surgeries like shoulder replacements, knee replacements. [00:30:25] Those were suddenly considered elective surgeries. [00:30:29] And abortion was critical health care. [00:30:31] And we were like, wait a minute, what are you talking about? [00:30:34] Suddenly, these crucial surgeries that were all scheduled, they're elective surgeries. [00:30:38] Everything became elective. [00:30:40] I was, you know, I'm a cancer survivor. [00:30:42] I didn't get to go to see my doctor for a year. [00:30:46] When we finally got back into the cancer center, I remember the lobby of the cancer center was just filled with people, filled with people that had had no treatment. [00:30:56] The number of people who probably either died or became immensely more unhealthy because they were not able to see their physician is shocking. [00:31:06] In our town, we had two teenagers, two high school students that committed suicide. [00:31:11] Those are the things that you don't hear because our schools were out for so long. [00:31:16] And it was unreasonable when people were, I mean, gosh, you look at Georgia. [00:31:22] They literally went back after like 15 days and they were fine. [00:31:27] And yet nobody's saying, wait, let's look at Georgia. [00:31:29] Let's look at Texas. [00:31:30] These states, let's look at Florida, the states that started to reopen, they refused because they loved the power of the moment. [00:31:38] But when you look at weaponization of government, to me, that's one of the scariest things about Gretchen Whitmer. [00:31:44] Because when I was campaigning, when I would go to big corporations, the few that are left in the state of Michigan, they would say to me, Man, I'd love to give to you, but she's so vindictive. [00:31:56] And it wasn't like they were making up an excuse. [00:31:58] We had one guy who owned a few hotels in Detroit. [00:32:02] He had actually had the Republican Speaker of the House speak at an event, and she sent the health department in. [00:32:10] They came up with bogus claims, shut down his hotels. [00:32:13] He was like, You got to understand, she cannot take criticism. [00:32:17] She cannot take someone who might go against her. [00:32:20] She just weaponizes her government against you. [00:32:24] Remember, Marlena Hackney, she kept her restaurant open in Holland, Michigan. [00:32:28] They came and arrested her. [00:32:30] She was in jail for a few days, not just in jail. [00:32:34] She was in jail 100 miles from her house with shackle and chains, chains around her waist, like she was some sort of violent criminal. [00:32:44] She had a restaurant open. [00:32:46] I mean, this is the type of person. [00:32:48] So when you think about Donald Trump having government weaponized against him, you don't want this person to be in power. [00:32:56] It really is. [00:32:57] It's incredible. [00:32:58] I'll tell you, the other thing that makes her very unpopular here now, and I think folks will start to see this on the national scene. [00:33:06] And this is something that threatens Democrats and particularly Biden. [00:33:09] She's been riding with Biden, including in that electric vehicle mandate. [00:33:13] Tudor Dixon hosted the Tudor Dixon podcast gubernatorial candidate here in Michigan last go around. [00:33:20] And she's been pushing these Chinese Communist Party-linked battery plants here in Michigan, which residents are very, very concerned about, the environmental impact, but also national security concerns. [00:33:33] She's taken hundreds of millions of dollars from taxpayer Michigan taxpayer money and handed it over to the Chinese Communist Party essentially to buy pure Michigan farmland. [00:33:43] And it's starting to really backfire. [00:33:47] Not just that, but the auto workers are really starting to become concerned as well. [00:33:52] And I know that Biden had an issue with over 100,000 uncommitted votes during the primary here in Michigan. [00:33:59] There's a reason why she said the state doesn't look good and that he can't win. [00:34:05] I just wonder if any Democrat crack could win Michigan. [00:34:08] You know, at this point, I would think that most people are wise to what's going on after this new EPA rule where they're going to change the way we make vehicles completely. [00:34:18] And by 2030 to 2032, you have to have 50%, 56% of your auto sales have to be electric vehicles. [00:34:27] I mean, this is pie-in-the-sky type of stuff, but it's ridiculous. [00:34:32] There's no reasoning for it. [00:34:34] There's no way to guarantee that 56% unless you are making so few gas vehicles. [00:34:39] And then you're really taking a chance of your automotive industry in the United States completely going under because the demand is not there. [00:34:47] The consumers are not buying. [00:34:49] So you take a look at what she did with Goshen. [00:34:52] Like I said, she's been traveling overseas because she's run so many businesses out of Michigan. [00:34:58] During the campaign, she had this win, and the Republicans helped with this. [00:35:02] Well, she called it a win. [00:35:04] We're bringing this company in. [00:35:06] There's never been a confirmation of how many jobs will come with Goshen, but we started researching the company. [00:35:13] Like, man, this company is connected to the Chinese Communist Party. === Trump's Winning Strategy (15:16) === [00:35:18] And so when I was running, yeah, so when I was running, I said, this is crazy. [00:35:23] I actually had the mainstream media come back on me and they started just attacking me over she would choose not to have these jobs here. [00:35:31] And I said, you don't even know if we're getting jobs. [00:35:33] Are you out of here? [00:35:34] You don't know what this factory is. [00:35:36] And in the debate, she actually said during our debate, if she were governor right now, Goshen wouldn't be coming to Michigan. [00:35:44] Yep, she's right, because that would protect us from outside Chinese corporations coming in that are openly connected to the CCP, that ask to have a CCP committee office in the company in Michigan. [00:36:01] This is crazy. [00:36:03] It's crazy. [00:36:05] Tudor Dixon, the Tudor Dixon podcast at tutordixon.com. [00:36:09] And of course, former gubernatorial candidate here in Michigan. [00:36:11] Thank you for taking the time. [00:36:12] Hope you had a great Independence Day and have a fantastic weekend. [00:36:16] We'll be sure to check in with you again as things continue to develop. [00:36:21] Thank you, Justin. [00:36:23] You got it. [00:36:24] Always a pleasure. [00:36:25] That fight still continues yet in Maca County, by the way. [00:36:29] One of the stories you've heard here on the Glenn Beck program and from the people there of Green Charter Township, the ragtag group of individuals who are in it and continue to fight, they're standing up not only for their little backyard neck of the woods, but they're standing up for this country as well. [00:36:44] It's a fight that I think weighs heavy on all of our minds, and it ought to be even bigger in the spotlight. [00:36:52] You can help those folks at protectmaca.org. [00:36:55] That's protectm E C O S T A.org. [00:37:00] Quick break. [00:37:01] We're back with more. [00:38:48] Biden says he's not going anywhere. [00:38:49] Rambling about traffic at some point. [00:38:52] Seems utterly and completely lost yet again in the latest clip. [00:38:57] You got me, man. [00:39:00] I'm not going anywhere. [00:39:01] All right. [00:39:04] All right. [00:39:05] I'll come back out when I let the open the gate, okay? [00:39:08] Thank you, thank you, thank you. [00:39:09] One last thing. [00:39:11] You know, I used to think when I was a senator, there were always congestion on the highways. [00:39:16] There's no congestion anymore. [00:39:18] No, when we go on the highway, there's no congestion. [00:39:20] And so the way they get me to stop talking, they'll say, we just shut down all the roads, Mr. President. [00:39:27] You're going to lose all the votes if you don't get in. [00:39:29] But anyway, I'll be back out. [00:39:31] Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. [00:39:32] I love you. [00:39:33] Just rambling. [00:39:34] Just rambling. [00:39:37] Just utterly lost the entire time. [00:39:41] And again, that's not even the worst. [00:39:44] There's something that's come out in the last day or so, as you watch, by the way. [00:39:48] He just lost again, looking at people to find out where he goes here in this clip. [00:40:18] Justin Barkley in again for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. [00:40:22] We're back next with Congressman Byron Donalds who join us. [00:40:26] Talk about what's happening here. [00:40:30] The Glenn Beck Program. [00:41:13] Entertainment and Enlightenment. [00:41:16] Enlightenment, this is the Glenn BECK Program. [00:41:23] Well, things are in uh, in shambles right now in the Democrat Party. [00:41:31] Things are really, really tough for Biden as he tries to navigate whether he's going to be able to stay or go and what that all looks like. [00:41:41] But what about all the massive wins that have been happening uh, for the right lately, the Trump campaign specifically? [00:41:48] Well, there's a list of possible vp contenders out there and in fact we'll talk to one of them coming up next, find out how things stand. [00:41:56] And uh, we're just days away from the convention as well. [00:42:00] What's happening behind the scenes? [00:42:02] We'll get it all coming up after this. [00:42:04] Congressman Byron Donalds joins us. [00:42:07] Next, Justin Barkley, in for Glenn today on the Glenn BACK Program. [00:43:09] That's simply safe.com slash beck. [00:43:12] There's no safe like Simply safe. [00:43:19] So let's take a look. [00:43:21] We've got the convention coming up in just days. [00:43:25] Trump sentencing, that was supposed to happen on the 11th but you know that was moved because of the Supreme Court ruling um on immunity. [00:43:36] At least they've moved it at least to the 18th. [00:43:39] This whole thing could go away. [00:43:42] At least I know that some of the attorneys are working on that behind the scenes right now. [00:43:47] And one guy on the left, I don't remember who this is. [00:43:52] I have to find the guy, but just distraught after story after story keeps dropping about all of this, saying essentially, Trump has a golden horseshoe firmly implanted you know where. [00:44:08] He just couldn't take it. [00:44:10] He couldn't take it. [00:44:10] There's definitely been a lot of winning happening lately. [00:44:14] So what's next? [00:44:15] There was leaked audio, too, over the last day or so, President Trump outriding in the golf cart. [00:44:21] And I didn't realize it, but it looks like Barron's right next to him. [00:44:24] And the guy has recorded him having a great conversation on the golf course about Joe and the fact that he's got to go. [00:44:37] That old broken down pile of crap. [00:44:39] Yeah, it's a bad guy. [00:44:40] He just quit, you know, he's quitting the race. [00:44:42] Is that right? [00:44:43] Yep, I got him out of the race. [00:44:45] And that means we have Kamala. [00:44:47] I think she's going to be better. [00:44:49] She's so bad. [00:44:50] She's so pathetic. [00:44:51] It's so amazing. [00:44:53] It's just so f ⁇ ing bad. [00:44:54] So I just can't imagine. [00:44:55] But can you imagine that guy dealing with Putin and the president of China who's a fierce person? [00:45:01] He's a fierce man. [00:45:03] A very tough guy. [00:45:04] And they see him, they go, but they just announced he's probably quitting. [00:45:12] Just keep knocking him out, man. [00:45:14] Just keep knocking him out. [00:45:16] Congressman Byron Donalds joins us now to talk about the latest and this story and more. [00:45:21] Congressman, welcome to the Goingback Program. [00:45:23] Man, it's a pleasure to be on. [00:45:25] Thanks for having me. [00:45:26] Absolutely. [00:45:27] You know, you are, you've got a very up-close and personal seat on this ride, watching all of the developments over the last week. [00:45:37] It's been a really rough ride for Democrats, but it really has been smooth sailing for President Trump. [00:45:45] It has been. [00:45:46] The last, actually I talked to the president the other day. [00:45:48] I told him, I was like, you might be having the best week ever. [00:45:52] The debate, obviously, in Atlanta was, the president was great, and then Joe Biden was such a disaster. [00:45:59] And now you have a situation where the press and the Democrats are all eating themselves because they're trying to find a way to get Joe Biden out. [00:46:08] They realize they can't really get Joe Biden out. [00:46:12] The press has, whatever credibility they had is now officially gone because they were covering up for him. [00:46:18] And then the polling just looks awful. [00:46:20] Donald Trump's up massively against Joe Biden in every swing state. [00:46:25] Even if you try to talk about Kamala, he's up massively on her. [00:46:28] I think a new poll just came out about that. [00:46:31] Things are looking good, but I want to tell all your listeners: none of that matters. [00:46:36] The only thing that matters now is getting out the vote. [00:46:40] It doesn't matter how you get out the vote. [00:46:41] You got to get out the vote. [00:46:43] People need to get to the polls. [00:46:44] There's a bunch of voters out there that people we got to get registered to vote. [00:46:49] A lot of people who typically do not vote. [00:46:51] We got to get them to the polls. [00:46:53] What matters now is execution, not just laughing at the Democrats, because eventually they're going to get their act together and they do have a machine that they're going to turn on. [00:47:04] And it's important that every American loving this country, patriots all through our country, we get the vote out in every one of these swing states. [00:47:13] That's the thing that matters right now. [00:47:15] I think that's a fair point. [00:47:17] Congressman Byron Donald's with us right now. [00:47:19] The president's talked about making it too big to rig. [00:47:22] You have the protect the vote effort, and there are efforts in states all across the country right now and trying to get into getting people low-prop voters. [00:47:32] People who would vote would vote for Trump, but yet for some reason sit it out and don't. [00:47:38] It's crazy how many churches, there are people in churches all across this country that just don't vote. [00:47:44] And yet, if they would, things would be dramatically different. [00:47:48] Hunters, you know, there are all these different categories of folks that if they could just get out and vote. [00:47:53] And of course, in Michigan, like where I'm at, you know, we've got all these new rules that have gone into effect, or you can register permanent absentee and all these things to take advantage of the rules, the way they had shifted things and changed things and put them in our favor. [00:48:10] And they're just things that the president has embraced with that effort to make it too big to rig. [00:48:16] Yeah, totally agree. [00:48:17] And I know, obviously, we're going to get back to the politics, but I would be remiss if we don't do this. [00:48:23] There's a lot of Christians, and God bless you. [00:48:25] God bless you all. [00:48:27] They are prayer warriors. [00:48:29] But my Bible says faith without works is dead. [00:48:32] You got to get to the polls. [00:48:34] You got to vote. [00:48:35] We have a lot of hunters, people who are Second Amendment believers, followers, and love that part of our not just the entire Constitution, but they hold the Second Amendment sacred. [00:48:45] But you got to get to the polls to protect that. [00:48:47] These Democrats, these people are nuts. [00:48:49] And so whether it's Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome, it doesn't matter who they put up there. [00:48:56] The radical agenda remains the same. [00:49:00] We are in a battle against their agenda, not just Joe Biden. [00:49:05] And so me personally, I think Joe Biden isn't going anywhere. [00:49:08] That's what I think. [00:49:09] So I'm sticking to that point because his family is a family of grifters. [00:49:17] He has always wanted to be president. [00:49:19] And whether he's here with us today or not, he's going to hold on to that thing for all dear life. [00:49:26] But this is about our country. [00:49:27] And what it requires is citizens to get out there and do the thing that must be done. [00:49:32] We have the candidate. [00:49:33] Donald Trump's going to get the job done, folks. [00:49:35] He's going to go back to Washington. [00:49:37] He's going to get the job done as the 47th president. [00:49:40] But you got to get out there and you got to vote. [00:49:43] And it's voting for him and it's voting for Republicans in the Senate, Republicans in the House. [00:49:48] Even though, yeah, look, I'm a Republican in the House and sometimes my colleagues piss me off too. [00:49:52] I get it. [00:49:53] But we got to have the bodies in Washington, D.C. to actually get the job done. [00:49:59] You know, you have mentioned being at the debate, and I think I saw you there in the spin room and all that, and talking to folks afterwards. [00:50:09] One of the things we heard from the president was that T is in the true Trump form and the showmanship that he's so good at is that his vice president, the running mate, would be at the event. [00:50:25] So I got to ask you about it. [00:50:26] I have to. [00:50:27] I'm not doing my job if I don't. [00:50:30] Any news you want to share with us? === Who Will Help Trump Win (10:57) === [00:50:34] Or what's your take on maybe if that call comes? [00:50:38] Answering it. [00:50:39] Well, let me see. [00:50:40] First, I know America would love me to break news, but I'm not saying a word. [00:50:45] I have no information to share with anybody. [00:50:48] I mean, look, Donald Trump is going to make that decision. [00:50:51] He's going to decide. [00:50:53] And then what's going to happen is I think everybody on that list, we're all going to rally around that decision and we're going to go and be focused on victory. [00:51:01] That's the only thing that really matters at this point. [00:51:04] If the call came, of course, yeah, I would say yes. [00:51:07] There's no doubt about that. [00:51:09] I've been very clear on that. [00:51:11] But I think the real focus is who's going to help the president to get through this election cycle, get through the process of winning voters all through this country. [00:51:22] I'll tell you, you talk to him. [00:51:23] He wants to win every state. [00:51:25] He wants to win New Jersey. [00:51:27] He wants to win New Hampshire. [00:51:28] He wants to win everywhere. [00:51:29] He doesn't want to just get 272 electoral votes. [00:51:33] He wants over 300 electoral votes. [00:51:35] So he wants to win everywhere. [00:51:36] So I think the vice presidential pick, you know, has got to help him do that and then help him accomplish the agenda, be his partner to accomplish that agenda to make America great again. [00:51:45] Well, whoever he picks, I'm for. [00:51:47] I just want to win. [00:51:48] You know, I got into politics really about a decade ago, and it takes a lot of time away from your family, you know, away from home. [00:51:56] And so I don't mind making the sacrifice. [00:51:58] I just want the sacrifice to count. [00:52:00] And so I'm here to win. [00:52:01] I want to get the job done. [00:52:02] That's where everybody's focus is. [00:52:03] And I'll tell you, as a party, I've not seen us this united in a long time. [00:52:08] We are united because we see just how terrible the Democrats can be when they have unchecked power. [00:52:14] And so we got to do what needs to be done. [00:52:17] We got to win, whoever he picks them with. [00:52:21] I've got to ask you, this is another one of these. [00:52:26] As you mentioned, it looks like they may be stuck with Biden. [00:52:28] But I've talked to a number of folks about what may happen next or who possibly may be filling that role if he does decide to step aside. [00:52:41] Any number of reasons for that. [00:52:43] But if that does happen, who it might be. [00:52:45] And over and over and over again, it comes back to and one of the best ways I heard it put was from a man here in Michigan who said, black man said this, if they try to toss Kamala Harris aside, it'd be like sending her to the back of the bus like Rosa Parks. [00:53:06] It'd be the end of the party. [00:53:08] So essentially, I have to ask you, and what do you make of that? [00:53:13] And I know you've come out on record talking about the fact that you don't think it matters who they pick, but let me just ask you about that. [00:53:23] I don't think it matters, but you're correct. [00:53:26] They cannot step over Kamala Harris. [00:53:29] They would have, you think they're imploding now. [00:53:34] It would be a major earthquake in that party if they decided to go with Gavin Newsom stepping over Kamala Harris. [00:53:41] It's just not possible. [00:53:42] I just don't see how that would happen politically. [00:53:45] And then the other piece is, I think the way campaign finance laws are set up, the amount of money that they've raised for Joe Biden's reelection can only go to Kamala Harris. [00:53:58] If they go to somebody else, they essentially have to refund all the money and re-raise all the money. [00:54:04] And that's a real mess. [00:54:05] And none of that can, I don't think that can really happen until after their convention, which means that now they're trying to raise money in late August, September for a presidential election where ballots in most areas are going out in late September, October. [00:54:19] Yeah, that doesn't work. [00:54:21] And so right now, they're caught between a rock and a horror place, but it's their own fault. [00:54:25] They knew Joe Biden was not with us and they wanted him to run and he wanted to run. [00:54:31] And you could blame Joe Biden for that. [00:54:33] You can blame the Biden family for that. [00:54:35] I mean, obviously everybody knows, I guess, Hunter Biden is now back in the White House. [00:54:38] He's the one making decisions. [00:54:40] I mean, this thing, this is great. [00:54:41] This is great for our country. [00:54:43] But they're stuck between him and Kamala Harris. [00:54:45] Kamala Harris, she could not win. [00:54:48] She couldn't get to a state to run for a state when she was running for the presidency back in 2020. [00:54:55] People forget, she couldn't even get to a state. [00:55:00] So that's their fault. [00:55:01] That's what they're dealing with. [00:55:02] Congressman Byron Donalds, you know, the other thing that I think is important about all of this is, and I'll let you have the last word here, but it doesn't matter whoever they pick, whoever they switch out, it's these radical policies from the Democrats. [00:55:20] It's the agenda that will stay the same. [00:55:23] And it's that agenda and these extreme policies that have done all the destruction and the damage here in this country. [00:55:32] And that's what's still going to be on the line. [00:55:35] Totally agree. [00:55:36] I mean, look, understand. [00:55:38] They have massive open borders. [00:55:40] Do you hear a Democrat or anybody in the media complaining about immigration this last week? [00:55:44] They're not. [00:55:45] They're concerned about Joe Biden's performance. [00:55:49] They've spent billions and billions of dollars of money we did not need on this Green New Deal crap. [00:55:55] They're going to spend, according to Wall Street, another trillion, trillion and a half more in tax credits for the Green New Deal scam. [00:56:02] Is anybody in the media complaining about that? [00:56:04] Is any Democrat complaining about that? [00:56:06] They have massive regulations that make no sense. [00:56:08] Everything from getting rid of gas stoves to trying to get rid of the internal combustion engine and everything in between. [00:56:15] Do you hear anybody in the media or in the Democrat Party complaining about that? [00:56:18] No. [00:56:19] These people like the agenda. [00:56:22] They like what Joe Biden has done. [00:56:23] That's not the issue. [00:56:25] The issue is, is that they don't think he can sell to the American people anymore, and then Donald Trump will win and basically take apart their entire agenda. [00:56:34] That's what's freaking them out. [00:56:35] And then all this mess about democracy. [00:56:38] I will not listen to the Democrats lecture anybody on democracy. [00:56:41] It's Joe Biden that's violated the Supreme Court precedent, not once but twice on student loans. [00:56:47] It's Joe Biden that does not faithfully execute the laws of the land with respect to securing the border. [00:56:53] It's Joe Biden that fired members of our military for not taking a COVID vaccine. [00:56:58] It's Joe Biden that has spied and suppressed speech of the American people. [00:57:02] He is the destroyer of the constitutional republic that is the United States of America. [00:57:09] So their only concern is they don't have a spokesperson right now. [00:57:12] That's what's freaking them out. [00:57:14] We have the candidate in Donald J. Trump. [00:57:16] We got to get the vote out. [00:57:17] We got to get out and work hard for this for Donald Trump. [00:57:21] We do that. [00:57:22] We win. [00:57:22] It's that simple. [00:57:24] Congressman Byron Donalds, thank you for taking the time, sir. [00:57:26] Appreciate it. [00:57:28] Definitely hope to talk to you again soon. [00:57:30] You got it. [00:57:30] Yeah, Congressman Byron Donalds, the Glenbank program rolls out. [00:57:33] Okay, we've been talking about possibilities and scenarios. [00:57:38] I'd like to take you down into the bunker. [00:57:39] I got my hat, my tinfoil hat ready. [00:57:41] We'll do that in just a moment because there's a wacky one. [00:57:44] Newsmax has been, put this out there. [00:57:48] There is a legal scholar who is talking about what he thinks is a very viable, this is a viable possibility, and it involves Obama possibly somehow becoming president again. [00:58:05] I know just the very thought of that may be enough to make you cringe. [00:58:12] In fact, I got it. [00:58:13] I get it. [00:58:13] And this whole thing, I'm not sure the viability of it. [00:58:18] I will tell you this. [00:58:19] One thing is for sure. [00:58:20] No matter what, there is one thing that we know. [00:58:23] The Democrats will do everything and anything to hold on to power. [00:58:25] And we'll explain what this plan could mean and how it's detailed coming up after this. [00:58:32] We're back next on the Glenn Back program, Justin Barkley, and for Glenn. [00:58:38] Ready to give your home a fresh new look for summer? [00:59:55] This comes from Newsmax. [01:00:00] First of all, I'm going to tell you, as we go, we take the little walk down into the bunker, put the tinfoil hat on. [01:00:07] I like it. [01:00:08] I'll take a look at everything. [01:00:09] I will, absolutely. [01:00:11] I'll entertain different ideas, thoughts, and I think this is an interesting one. [01:00:16] I don't know how likely it is, but it is an interesting point. [01:00:24] Democrat strategists might be ready to exploit a loophole to get former President Barack Obama back in the White House. [01:00:30] It includes making him Joe Biden's President Biden's running mate. [01:00:36] And next in line, should Biden step down after the election? [01:00:40] Obama was term-limited as president, but legal scholars are now suggesting Biden could give his slipping campaign a shot in the arm by replacing Vice President Harris already told you what we think about that with Obama as his running mate. [01:00:57] Paul Bedard, writing Thursday for the Washington Examiner. [01:01:02] The interesting piece of this is that it all hinges really on the 22nd Amendment, which is the term limit portion of this Constitution. [01:01:13] When you look at this, it essentially says that you can only be elected to two terms in the wording, but that means only elected to two terms. [01:01:25] See, if Obama were to become part of the Biden ticket, he would be elected as vice president. === Rick Green's Constitutional Coach (15:08) === [01:01:31] And that's nothing that I see, at least what I've looked at, that indicates that that wouldn't be possible or legal. [01:01:43] So it is interesting. [01:01:45] I don't know if it's likely, but it is part of the speculation out there. [01:01:49] I want to talk about this. [01:01:51] Some of us are familiar with the Constitution. [01:01:55] Someone I want to talk about on a number of different levels. [01:01:59] He's a great guy. [01:02:00] We'll get into all of the conversation about that, whether this is even legal or not, or it's just some pipe dream coming up in just moments. [01:03:32] More Glenn Beck next. [01:03:56] All right, let's get some answers here. [01:03:58] You know, originally I wanted to talk to our next guest just because I really love what he's doing, in fact, throughout the country. [01:04:07] I have participated in one of his classes. [01:04:13] I guess it's sort of like a small group we did at our church called Biblical Citizenship. [01:04:19] And he's got a great, in fact, a great organization. [01:04:23] We'll talk a little bit more about what he's up to. [01:04:24] Rick Green, America's constitutional coach, one of the most dynamic and inspirational speakers in America today, equipping, empowering, and challenging about 100,000 people a year, live audiences, a million more through radio and television. [01:04:37] So you're that constitutional coach, right? [01:04:39] So welcome, Rick Green, to the Glenn Beck program. [01:04:42] Rick, how are you? [01:04:44] Justin, doing great, man. [01:04:45] Thanks for having me on. [01:04:47] Really enjoyed biblical citizenship and everything else that you're up to. [01:04:51] I want to talk about those things in depth here in just a moment. [01:04:54] In fact, I just thought it would be great to have you on around Independence Day all together. [01:05:00] But then we get this story yesterday that pops up out of nowhere and I think, oh, boy, Rick's going to have a field day with this. [01:05:06] Let's dig in. [01:05:06] So I don't know if you've heard this or not, but Newsmax put out this story. [01:05:10] Apparently, somebody had written about a plot. [01:05:13] There's some sort of plan out there to remove, I guess, Kamala Harris from the ticket in the Biden campaign as a vice presidential candidate in this election and insert former President Barack Obama. [01:05:30] I know that's probably causing you to throw up a little bit in your mouth. [01:05:36] I'm not sure that that can cause a little pain for a lot of folks. [01:05:40] But anyway, this then, they say, would allow them to run and then give Democrats the confidence. [01:05:47] In fact, they might even come out right out and say it that, hey, we're just going to get across the line. [01:05:51] And once we do, we're going to restore everything that needs to be restored here. [01:05:56] And of course, Biden will step down and then Obama will step up and serve. [01:06:01] And the question is, can he? [01:06:03] And I was looking at this 22nd Amendment. [01:06:06] And the language I read is that the president can only be elected twice. [01:06:11] And so the question is, if he's elected twice, but then he's elected as a vice president, could he still serve a third term? [01:06:17] And what's the restrictions around serving in the Constitutional? [01:06:21] Since you are the constitutional coach here, Rick Green. [01:06:24] I thought we'd ask you, is this just a pipe dream or is this some reality to this fantasy? [01:06:31] Well, first of all, thank you, man, for having me. [01:06:33] And yes, Independence Day last night, wonderful to celebrate the 248th birthday, 48th birthday of the nation. [01:06:39] And we've got two years left, man, before we hit the 250th, which is when most countries crumble. [01:06:44] And this is what makes them crumble. [01:06:46] Exactly this kind of thing. [01:06:47] These are the same people that don't know what the meaning of the word is is, right? [01:06:52] So remember the nuance that they tried to get around for Bill Clinton, all of the ways that they have twisted the statutes, created, literally took a statute designed to keep you from shredding documents while you're under investigation to bully these J-6 defendants and put them in jail. [01:07:09] I've watched a lot of the hours from J-6. [01:07:11] I don't remember anybody with a shredder outside the Capitol on their way in shredding documents. [01:07:16] That's the types of things that they have done. [01:07:18] They've twisted the statutes to convict Donald Trump. [01:07:21] They've twisted the statutes to do all of these things. [01:07:24] And now here they are doing the same thing with the Constitution. [01:07:27] And of course, this is how we've ended up with a federal government doing 17 million things instead of 17 things like the Constitution allows them to. [01:07:35] This is how we've ended up with a completely post-constitutional America where the federal government dominates everything in our lives when, in fact, the founding fathers intended for it to do so little. [01:07:45] And so here they're trying to do it again. [01:07:46] They're basically trying to reverse the idea where, okay, you have somebody that's vice president. [01:07:52] They ascend to the presidency because of the 25th Amendment, and it's in the second half of the term, so they haven't filled out more than half of the term. [01:08:00] So they could get elected two more times and serve 10 possible years. [01:08:04] That could happen. [01:08:05] That is constitutional for that to happen. [01:08:07] That was contemplated when the 25th Amendment was put in place, when the 22nd and the 25th were put in place. [01:08:12] But this is nonsense. [01:08:13] They're actually talking about putting somebody on the ballot just because of the technical language in the 22nd Amendment about can't be elected to the presidency and completely ignoring the language in the 12th Amendment that says you cannot run for vice president and be elected vice president if you're ineligible to be president. [01:08:29] Well, he's ineligible to be president. [01:08:31] And so this is this is absolutely now. [01:08:33] I'm not saying they couldn't do it, Justin. [01:08:35] These people do not care about the law. [01:08:37] The rule of law means nothing to them. [01:08:39] They don't listen to America the Beautiful and the song where it says thy liberty in law. [01:08:44] And that's why they'll probably find any way they can to replace Joe Biden on the ballot in Wisconsin and these other states where they have statutory issues. [01:08:52] They'll change their convention rules. [01:08:55] They'll do anything to win. [01:08:56] They have no morals. [01:08:58] They don't believe in right and wrong. [01:09:00] We talked about, you know, last night was the celebration of the Declaration of Independence. [01:09:03] Well, what's the heart of the Declaration? [01:09:05] We hold these truths to be self-evident. [01:09:08] They don't believe in truth. [01:09:09] They don't believe in moral absolutes. [01:09:10] So it's M justifies the means. [01:09:12] Do anything you can to win. [01:09:14] And for all of those Republicans and conservatives out there that are thinking this is impossible and they would never do it, don't forget what Glenn and Mark Levin and all these other people told us back in the summer of 2020 when they saw the Secretary of State starting to change election law unconstitutionally. [01:09:31] Only the legislature is supposed to change election law. [01:09:34] And we warned and we warned and we warned and people didn't pay attention. [01:09:38] And then we saw the disaster of 2020. [01:09:40] So, bro, I think raising this today is important. [01:09:44] I think people need to be ready for this. [01:09:45] To stand up and say this absolutely violates the Constitution, if not the letter, definitely the spirit of the Constitution. [01:09:53] So, just get this straight, Rick Green, the constitutional coach, saying this violates the Constitution. [01:10:01] But again, as I kind of lean towards too, you know, why do we think that that's going to stop them? [01:10:06] Nothing they have done so far. [01:10:09] I mean, student law, debt, all that, and they just don't care about any of the laws. [01:10:16] So you're right. [01:10:17] I mean, they will stop at nothing. [01:10:19] And boy, if we don't know, they'll run over us, right? [01:10:24] I mean, that's the whole point of civic education. [01:10:27] Yes. [01:10:27] I mean, that's how they've been able to do all of these things they've done. [01:10:31] I mean, brother, we don't even have 25% of the country that know there are three branches of the federal government. [01:10:39] We've got about a third of the country that can name even one freedom out of the First Amendment. [01:10:44] And so when they go monkeying around with it like this and changing the system and shifting the power from the states to the feds and from us as individuals to the government and all that, we stand by. [01:10:56] And it's because we're in the good times. [01:10:58] We're becoming soft. [01:10:59] We've had it so good for so long. [01:11:01] Everybody's seen the meme, right? [01:11:02] Tough times make tough men, tough men, good times, good times make soft men, and soft men lead to tough times. [01:11:07] Well, man, we've been blessed so much. [01:11:10] America's the greatest nation in the history of the world. [01:11:12] We've had it so good, so easy that we've gotten lazy. [01:11:15] And we've forgotten to do the hard work that it takes to keep freedom alive. [01:11:19] And that's, of course, why you took that class. [01:11:21] That's why Patriot Academy is why we do what we do, is to shake people out of their slumber and say, hey, we're about to lose this thing. [01:11:27] You are going to pass to your children a broken country if you don't start doing the hard work. [01:11:31] We need to interrupt the tough times right here at the beginning of the tough times and not, as Ronald Reagan said, be thrown into a thousand years of darkness. [01:11:39] I think it's so important. [01:11:41] And the work you're doing with Civic to raise this civic conversation in churches across the country, in our church and many others that I've seen, are really, this is the church has to wake up. [01:11:55] They have to stand up and they've got to get involved. [01:11:58] And if they only, if they only knew, so many of these folks we just talked about aren't voting and so many of them aren't aware. [01:12:06] I saw this is Prager, you, I think, did one of these Man on the Street things, and they went out and asked these kids and different people on beaches, hey, what's the significance of 1776? [01:12:18] And a lot of the kids didn't even know what Independence Day was all about. [01:12:22] And no wonder. [01:12:24] I mean, all they've heard about the last few years has been Pride Month and Juneteenth and all these other summer holidays that really kind of cloud the water about how important Independence Day was and why it matters. [01:12:37] And that's how you lose it, right? [01:12:38] Ronald Reagan said, if we forget what we did, we won't know who we are. [01:12:42] And so the petri dish where bad government grows, and man, it's spreading like a virus. [01:12:46] But the petri dish where it grows is civic and biblical ignorance. [01:12:50] If we don't know truth, we don't know what our nation was founded upon. [01:12:53] We don't know what the principles are, the good stuff that produces good stuff. [01:12:57] In other words, if you put garbage in, personally, you're going to get garbage out. [01:13:01] It's the same with a nation. [01:13:02] If you put garbage in, you get garbage out. [01:13:03] You put good stuff in, you get good stuff out. [01:13:05] And in our nation, we've been pouring the cultural Marxism into our children for three generations. [01:13:11] And the reason that we have so many people now coming to these constitution classes is because they went through those schools where that cultural Marxism was seeping in. [01:13:19] And now they're going, wow, I was lied to. [01:13:22] That's not the truth about America and who we are. [01:13:24] And so now that they're learning it, that's why I think we're up to we're a little over 28,000 Constitution coaches around the country. [01:13:32] And these people are holding classes. [01:13:33] You wouldn't believe it, man. [01:13:35] They're getting together, not just in churches and schools and homes, Harley-Davidson dealerships, bait and tackle shops. [01:13:40] Had a funeral parlor guy tell me he's doing a constitutional class at his funeral parlor. [01:13:44] I'm like, that's weird. [01:13:44] But then again, I guess Democrats vote dead people. [01:13:46] So, you know, why not? [01:13:49] Anyways, it's happening. [01:13:50] I mean, the good news is there's a resurgence, man. [01:13:53] People are waking up and they're saying, I want to know the formula to restore freedom. [01:13:58] And I don't like the pain I'm feeling, whether it's the inflation or the tyranny or whatever. [01:14:03] And it's starting to get people to wake up. [01:14:05] Not enough. [01:14:05] You mentioned the numbers, man. [01:14:06] Very few people. [01:14:08] I mean, the number, especially the church, right? [01:14:10] Half of people that are faith-based people vote. [01:14:12] So that means half of our team is not even on the field, the people that care about right and wrong and believe in right and wrong. [01:14:18] So we got to get them engaged, get them awake. [01:14:20] Got to get away from this wimpy, wimpy faith. [01:14:23] These people that say, I don't want politics in the pulpit or I'm just supposed to preach the gospel. [01:14:28] Well, the gospel is to make disciples. [01:14:30] The politics is just how you treat your neighbor. [01:14:32] I heard something somewhere. [01:14:34] You ought to treat your neighbor the way you want to be treated. [01:14:36] Yeah, I think it's written down in a famous book somewhere. [01:14:39] I mean, I want to live in a neighborhood where people treat each other the way they want to be treated, where they think stealing's wrong, murder's wrong. [01:14:45] So anyway, sorry, I didn't mean to filibuster, but that article, you shouldn't have sent that to me right before. [01:14:52] That got me fired up. [01:14:54] Yeah, listen, I know you are preaching to the choir, but look, the key is, is we've got to get off the bench and in the game, as you just mentioned, and Rick Green, Constitutional Coach, people can find out more. [01:15:06] I know you got some events. [01:15:07] In fact, you'll be in Michigan soon, but you're all over the country. [01:15:10] Where can folks find out and where will you be? [01:15:13] Yeah, man, PatriotAcademy.com. [01:15:16] In fact, we just yesterday had David and Tim Barton out here with us at the Patriot Academy campus in Fredericksburg, Texas. [01:15:23] We do hanggun defense training along with constitutional training and a lot of fun stuff. [01:15:27] And so anyway, we do events here all the time, so they can come to Fredericksburg anytime. [01:15:31] But yeah, we're going to be in Michigan, Kalamazoo, Michigan, here in just a couple of weeks on the 13th. [01:15:36] And these coach conferences, they're called a coach conference, but they're for anybody that wants to know about the Constitution. [01:15:42] And most people leave that day signing up to be a coach, which is free, by the way. [01:15:44] I forgot to mention that. [01:15:45] Completely free to be a coach with us, completely free to take our classes. [01:15:49] But there's no substitute for sitting in a room with your fellow patriots and fellow Americans watching these amazing videos that make this stuff fun. [01:15:57] These are not boring classes you're going to sleep in, and then talking about it. [01:16:00] The magic happens when the video is over because then you start talking about how to apply those solutions to your neighborhood, your community, your state, and our country. [01:16:08] And so I really do encourage people: it will give you hope. [01:16:11] You'll learn things you never knew, and then you'll find other patriots and you'll begin to take over, you know, get school boards, city councils. [01:16:19] You'll get people elected to office. [01:16:20] But more importantly, you'll just be a good citizen. [01:16:23] You'll have the knowledge you need to decipher truth and see through all of this nonsense that these people are throwing at us. [01:16:29] We're living in George Orwell's 1984 right now, and we've got to get educated in order to slice through that stuff and get back to the truth. [01:16:38] Rick, Grant. === Deciphering Truth in Orwell's America (02:36) === [01:16:39] Thank you for being on the show today, but also thank you for everything you're doing to do the Lord's work. [01:16:44] And we appreciate you stepping up and into your cloth. [01:16:47] Thank you, sir. [01:16:48] Thank you, man. [01:16:49] Thanks for having me today. [01:16:50] God bless. [01:16:51] You got it. [01:16:51] PatriotAcademy.com. [01:16:54] All right, quick break. [01:16:55] He did it. [01:16:56] He did it. [01:16:57] Biden actually did the meme. [01:16:59] Last night it happened at the Independence Day celebration in Washington, D.C. at the fireworks and more. [01:17:06] He did the meme. [01:17:07] I don't know. [01:17:09] The matrix is folding in on itself here. [01:17:12] It's weird, but it actually happened. [01:17:15] I'll share it with you. [01:17:15] The audio you won't want to miss. [01:17:17] After this, Justin Barkley back on the Glenn Beck program. [01:17:20] Next. [01:17:21] This is the Glenn Beck program. [01:19:00] You know, there's a meme that shows Biden in the... [01:19:05] He's in a Santa Claus... [01:19:08] Is it? [01:19:09] No, no, no, Santa Claus hat or the 4th of July. [01:19:12] The fireworks are going behind. [01:19:13] It says Merry Fourth of Father's Day. === DOJ Abuse and Impeachment (15:29) === [01:19:16] Whatever. [01:19:17] It's floating. [01:19:18] This meme's been floating around for years now. [01:19:21] And it's always poked fun at him for being who he is and sort of always being off. [01:19:29] Now more than ever, I think this is more important than ever. [01:19:38] But last night on stage in Washington, D.C., in front of an audience in thousands, millions watching on television, Kamala Harris there with him and Jill by his side, excuse me, Dr. Jill Biden by his side. [01:19:53] He actually did the meme. [01:19:54] We give thanks to our Commander-in-Chief, the President of the United States, the extraordinary President of the United States, Joe Biden. [01:20:06] Ho, ho, ho! [01:20:09] Happy Independence Day! [01:20:11] Ho, ho, ho! [01:20:12] What? [01:20:13] Ho, ho, ho! [01:20:17] Happy Independence Day! [01:20:19] IQ just can't make this stuff up. [01:20:22] It's unbelievable. [01:20:23] He did the meme in real life. [01:20:26] Ho, ho, ho. [01:20:29] Happy Independence Day. [01:20:34] Folks, it was another rough night again last night. [01:20:39] We have the TV interview coming this evening, 8 p.m. [01:20:44] George Snefilopagus on ABC. [01:20:47] It's taped. [01:20:57] Justin Barkley and for Glenn today on the Glenn Back program, you can shoot us a message and sound off about this or anything you want to talk about. [01:21:04] JustinBarkley.com. [01:22:06] Never a dull moment. [01:22:07] We make sure you stay up to date with it all, but we want to go back to and look at the massive consequences to the Supreme Court rulings that came out over the last week or so, get some more clarity on what really happened and talk about maybe some of the most important issues that came out when it comes to President Trump's court cases as well, how they'll be impacted January 6th, and more. [01:22:33] Julie Kelly's been following it all. [01:22:35] In fact, she is one of the best when it comes to covering these topics. [01:22:39] She's been in the courtrooms, and now she'll be with us. [01:22:42] Right after this, the latest update, Justin Barkley, in for Glenn Today on the Glenn Beck program. [01:22:52] In an era of escalating social unrest and rising crime rates, safeguarding our families has never been more critical. [01:24:06] She is a self-described J6 conspiracy theorist, insurrection denier. [01:24:14] Maybe these are things other people have said about her. [01:24:18] Former food blogger, but she's also an author, and she writes for Real Clear Investigations, but also extensively on Twitter X and keeps us up to date with everything that's happening. [01:24:29] January 6th, all the SCODIS rulings, the Trump cases, and more. [01:24:33] Julie, thank you for being here with us today on the Glenbeck program. [01:24:36] Hey, Justin, good to talk with you. [01:24:39] Thanks so much for having me on. [01:24:41] I always enjoy reading because you are bringing us a lot of times, I find the story behind the story. [01:24:48] In other words, you can read some of the blogs or mainstream media sources. [01:24:53] And a lot of times you're going to get a lot of stuff that's left out. [01:24:56] You're bringing documents in and actual conversations about what's happening in the courtroom. [01:25:01] You've been in the courtroom, as I mentioned, a lot of the times for these things. [01:25:06] So there's just a unique perspective on this. [01:25:08] I want to start maybe with the Supreme Court cases. [01:25:13] Out of everything that we got, and there was a lot, but out of everything that we got, not only was there a good number of rulings that we got this last term, but there were, I think, several with major, major impact and implication on what we're seeing happening. [01:25:31] What do you think was the biggest? [01:25:34] Well, I mean, I think you could argue cases like the Chevron overturning the Chevron Doctrine, which gives deference to federal agencies and the vagueness of, and this was an issue in another one, the Fisher ruling, the vagueness of the laws that Congress passes and really sets up these interpretations that maybe they didn't intend, maybe they did. [01:25:57] So Chevron will be a big one in terms of how these rogue federal agencies can just make up their own regulations and impose them on the American people, businesses, et cetera. [01:26:10] Of course, the two that I was watching the most closely is the Fisher versus United States. [01:26:16] This was a case that originated out of the J6 prosecution and this 1512 C2 obstruction of an official proceeding statute. [01:26:26] Again, an example of how the DOJ can weaponize very vague language, misinterpret it, abuse it before the courts. [01:26:35] The courts allow it, of course, and in this case, in a very destructive way. [01:26:41] So this was a post-Enron document evidence impairment statute, as you recall, Arthur Anderson shredding documents related to the Enron scandal in 2002. [01:26:51] This law was passed. [01:26:53] Well, now the DOJ used it. [01:26:55] They claimed that protesters who went into the building, some who didn't even go into the building, obstructed an official proceeding, meaning interrupted the counting of the electoral certificates that day, and therefore were guilty of this felony, punishable by 20 years in prison. [01:27:11] Justin, they have brought this felony count against more than 350 J-Sixers. [01:27:17] It also represents two of the four counts in Jack Smith's criminal indictment against Donald Trump for January 6th in the 2020 election. [01:27:25] What the court did on Friday, and I have to say this was so gratifying to me on behalf of the January 6th defendants and their families. [01:27:34] My first article about 1512c2 is March of 2021 as they started indicting protesters on this count. [01:27:43] So the court basically came back and said, no, no, no, interrupting a government function that is not what this law is intended to do. [01:27:50] You have to prove that there was evidence impairment, document record tampering or impairment or destruction, not just interrupting a function of Congress. [01:28:02] So they have now kicked that back to the lower courts and basically said to the panel, the appellate court, who upheld this, and said, you have to demonstrate now that the government and the judges have to demonstrate in the burden of proof that that particular defendant impaired evidence or a record. [01:28:21] So we're going to see what happens there, Justin, but you won't be shocked to hear that the DOJ, Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, Matthew Graves, the DC U.S. attorney who's overseeing this criminal prosecution, they're trying to figure out a way that they can connect the electoral certificates that day. [01:28:37] That's the nexus to holding up this count. [01:28:40] They are absolutely unrepentant, and this demonstrates the corruption, the dirtiness, and the lawlessness of our own Department of Justice, who can't just say, okay, we tried, gave up. [01:28:54] Of course, these people weren't impairing certificates. [01:28:57] They never saw them. [01:28:57] They never got within a mile of them. [01:29:01] But it's not stopping the DOJ. [01:29:04] So we'll see how the federal judges in Washington handle that. [01:29:07] But I'm going to have a piece up on my sub stack this weekend detailing how the DOJ plans to keep that count. [01:29:15] So let's hope that the courts don't go along with it. [01:29:17] And then, of course, the immunity decision that came down Monday is huge, not just for Donald Trump, but of course for the future of the country and future presidents. [01:29:26] You know, I got to come back to immunity, but first on January 6th, Julie Kelly with us right now. [01:29:32] You can find her on Twitter access, Julie underscore Kelly2, and all of these things that she's writing about extensively there as well and her sub stack. [01:29:41] But let me ask you the January 6th defeat. [01:29:45] A lot of these guys, in their horrific stories, many of them who've had to just really go through torturous conditions. [01:29:54] There'd been some suicides. [01:29:56] Some of them had taken their lives. [01:29:59] And these stories aren't being told. [01:30:01] A lot of people, outside of people like you and various few others, have talked about these stories. [01:30:09] The miscarriage of justice, the weaponization of the Justice Department and all of this. [01:30:15] What's going to happen to them? [01:30:17] It seems like they may have gotten some relief from the Supreme Court. [01:30:20] But as I've been paying attention more and more to these things and talking about these cases and what we see happening here, I realize the Supreme Court can come out and they can weigh in as they ought to. [01:30:35] But at the end of the day, who holds these other folks accountable in the Justice Department and the Biden administration? [01:30:44] How do we actually get relief for these folks who've gone through it all? [01:30:49] Well, there has to be a full-blown investigation into the Department of Justice for how they abused and wrongfully prosecuted an entire group of individuals. [01:31:00] And to your point, resulting in suicide, at least five January 6th defendants have committed suicide. [01:31:07] One we know directly, Matthew Perna, as a result of the 1512 C2 charge, where they warned his attorney that they were going to ask for years in prison after he pleaded guilty to that count and a few misdemeanors. [01:31:23] You have over 120 defendants who already served their jail time or are in jail right now because of being wrongfully prosecuted and convicted, either by a D.C. jury or pleading guilty, which technically is still a conviction, in jail right now. [01:31:44] Lives destroyed. [01:31:45] These families have been bankrupted. [01:31:46] Families have been torn apart. [01:31:48] Marriages have ended. [01:31:49] These people are complete outcasts in their communities, which is why some of them committed suicide. [01:31:55] And after these suicides, I hear from J-Sixers who say, I understand why they did it. [01:32:00] I've thought about this myself because never before has a group of political protesters, demonstrators, been cast as domestic terrorists. [01:32:12] Hearing this from Joe Biden and Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray, being hounded by the national media and their local media. [01:32:22] I mean, I have so many horror stories. [01:32:24] I talk a little bit in my first book. [01:32:26] I'm going to need an update. [01:32:27] But, Justin, the one thing that's a little bit helpful is as these protesters, these J-Sixers, are getting out of jail, they are telling their stories about what happened and their personal stories. [01:32:39] And it's terrible. [01:32:40] We just have nothing like this in American history that's similar to this. [01:32:46] So, to your point, what is the accountability? [01:32:48] Full-blown investigation. [01:32:50] Donald Trump wins and to the Department of Justice for what they did weaponizing this, holding not just Merrick Garland, Lisa Monaco, the deputy Matthew Graves, but these lying prosecutors who I've seen in court in Washington, D.C., wanting these people hauled off to jail immediately for 1512-C2. [01:33:08] More importantly, Justin, this Congress, if we win again, needs to impeach, hold impeachment proceedings for, I mean, I have 15 judges in D.C. I would want to start impeachment proceedings against. [01:33:23] They need to regain their oversight, ability, control, authority of federal courts, especially in Washington, because you had 18 judges sign off and put their judicial imprimatur on the abuse of that statute. [01:33:38] They knew that's not what the statute was for. [01:33:41] They knew the language was not intended, how DOJ tried to convince them. [01:33:48] But you had 15 judges on the district court, including Trump-appointed judges, and then two on the appellate court who also upheld this, or excuse me, three. [01:33:57] They knew what they were doing was wrong, but they didn't care and they didn't care about the lives they destroyed. [01:34:03] We have to impeach some of these judges. [01:34:05] It has been, I think, a few decades since Congress has impeached a federal judge. [01:34:10] It is time to rein in not just the rogue DOJ, but their enablers who are sitting in powerful, unaccountable posts on the federal bench. [01:34:22] Julie Kelly, with this right now, it sounds like the road to clearing this up, the road to redemption, goes right through this election here. [01:34:32] Again, underscoring how, just how critical, the most critical of our lifetime, President Trump said maybe even the nation's history, I think there's a lot of truth to that, to be able to go through and right some of these wrongs. === Presidential Powers and Immunity (07:02) === [01:34:46] Julie, can you, I got to take a quick break. [01:34:48] Can you hang with us for just a second? [01:34:49] I want to come back and ask you about the blows that were dealt to the deep state in some of these cases with that bureaucratic state here in just a second. [01:34:57] We'll come right back. [01:34:59] If you can hang with us, we'll be right back after this quick message, Justin Barkley in for Glenn Back on the Glen Back program. [01:35:07] With our endless money printing and record debt, protecting wealth is more challenging than ever. [01:35:12] And if Biden is re-elected, he's promised to make it nearly impossible. [01:35:15] The gold standard for wealth preservation has always been gold or silver, precious metals. [01:35:20] I strongly urge you to put a portion of your retirement portfolio in gold and silver. [01:35:24] I know, I know. [01:35:25] It's a tough decision. [01:35:26] And who should you work with to buy gold? [01:35:28] The company that you can trust is Lear Capital, with over 27 years of experience, thousands of five-star reviews, plus $3 billion in trusted transactions. [01:35:35] Lear is the gold and silver industry leader now. [01:35:38] Lear is the first company that I trusted to buy gold from some 20 years ago. [01:35:41] My investment has quadrupled. [01:35:43] Join me and the thousands of satisfied customers who decided to swap some of our dollars for gold. [01:35:47] Seriously, what are you waiting for? [01:35:48] Call Lear Capital today, 800-889-3070. [01:35:51] Get your free gold guide and an IRA investor's kit. [01:35:54] When you call, make sure you ask, how do you get up to $15,000 in bonus gold or silver with a qualifying purchase? [01:36:00] 800-89-3070. [01:36:02] Call 800-889-3070. [01:36:05] Remember, 800-889-3070. [01:36:17] So there were some big blows dealt in the Supreme Court cases. [01:36:22] Everything from the powers of what some of the deep state, the folks in the bureaucratic state will be able to do, specifically when it comes to their options and the EPA and how these folks are going to be bound in so many different ways because of these decisions. [01:36:44] But also, immunity. [01:36:45] Another big case that we barely scratched the surface on here. [01:36:50] President Trump, and this is something that I guess really the Supreme Court did here, as we're talking with Julie Kelly right now about these latest Supreme Court cases. [01:36:59] This was always the case. [01:37:00] The president has always, just sort of off the record, I guess, had this immunity, especially when it comes to official acts. [01:37:09] But they sort of really just put the official sign-off on this. [01:37:15] Is that what we see here? [01:37:16] And what does it mean for this president? [01:37:17] Obviously, President Trump in his court cases moving forward. [01:37:21] He's got various, including the one that they've now moved the sentencing back from July 11th until September 18th. [01:37:29] What does it mean for all of them, Julie? [01:37:32] So the immunity decision that came down Monday, this originated out of special counsel Jack Smith's indictment against Donald Trump in Washington. [01:37:41] And unlike the other cases, well, except for Georgia, this case relates to specific conduct of the former president while he was in office versus the classified documents case I'm also covering in Florida, where the indictment starts after, or the alleged crimes happened after he left. [01:38:00] So this has been moving, marching through the court system rather quickly, despite how the media has portrayed it. [01:38:06] And to your point, Justin, this is an unprecedented question. [01:38:10] Never before has a president been criminally charged in a federal indictment. [01:38:15] Jack Smith now has two against Donald Trump. [01:38:18] And the presumption that, of course, the president would not be criminally prosecuted for things he did in office because of the potential chilling impacts, et cetera, things that the court talked about in the opinion handed down Monday, authored by Chief Justice John Roberts. [01:38:37] So basically what the court said, they kind of created three different buckets of immunity. [01:38:43] So number one, the court said very explicitly, a president has to be immune from criminal prosecution for official acts. [01:38:51] So these are authorities and powers that only a president has. [01:38:54] You know, Justin, the idea that a president is just like the rest of us and should be held to the same standard of the rule of law, well, the president is the only person in America who can send troops to war, who can authorize the murder, the killing of foreign leaders or terrorist leaders, et cetera. [01:39:13] There's a whole host of powers outside of the law that a president possesses. [01:39:19] So how do you draw that line? [01:39:20] So the court said official acts that are clearly defined in the Constitution and law, that has to be protected. [01:39:29] Number two, they said, kind of this outer perimeter powers of the president. [01:39:35] So maybe not directly related to Commander in Chief and his other positions, but say, okay, Vice President, they have, they consult each other. [01:39:45] You select the Vice President. [01:39:46] They run with you. [01:39:48] You know, they have a collaborative consultative relationship. [01:39:53] So in terms of the Jay 6 indictment, was his communications with Mike Pence under his even outer perimeter authority as the president at the time? [01:40:04] Or was it outside of that? [01:40:06] Because, of course, he was trying to convince Mike Pence to go with the Eastern Plan and send these electoral certificates in contested states, either reject them or send them back to the states, right? [01:40:16] So the court said the lower courts have to figure out where that falls. [01:40:21] And then the court said quite reasonably, if it's clearly personal conduct and criminal conduct, it's not protected by immunity. [01:40:29] So of course that would be related to, you know, a lot of different crimes. [01:40:33] If the president went and knocked off the SAC 5th Avenue, okay, well, he's not going to get immunity from criminal prosecution. [01:40:41] So that's basically the rundown. [01:40:43] What happens now, Justin, and I have a piece on my subject explaining this. [01:40:47] The court sent it back to the lower courts because the lower courts really did not do their due diligence in figuring out in the elements in Jack Smith's indictment which one is an official act. [01:40:57] And of course, the president can't be charged criminally and which aren't. [01:41:02] So this will now go back to the lower courts. [01:41:05] Judge Chutkin, who's presiding over this in Washington, will hold some sort of evidentiary hearing between both sides as they flesh out what should be covered based on the Supreme Court's ruling and what isn't. [01:41:16] That will then make its way through the courts again and probably end up at the Supreme Court in the fall. [01:41:20] Meaning what? [01:41:22] There will be no trial of Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. for the events of January 6th before the November election. [01:41:30] It just won't make its way through the courts that quickly. [01:41:33] But there will be a lot to learn in the process during these evidentiary hearings, making it to the appellate court, etc. [01:41:40] So that's where that stands. [01:41:43] So we'll keep an eye on that, particularly with what comes out of the latest with Jack Smith or Julie Kelly. === Avoiding Woke Messaging for Truth (02:43) === [01:41:48] Always a pleasure. [01:41:49] Where can folks find you and stay up to date? [01:41:52] Thanks for having me on, Justin. [01:41:54] I am at Declassified with Julie Kelly as my substack, Real Clear Investigations. [01:41:58] I have quite a few pieces on 1512 for people who want background. [01:42:02] And then Cheerpoint. [01:42:04] I spent a lot of time on Twitter. [01:42:05] Try not to this weekend, but Julie underscore Kelly, too. [01:42:10] There you go. [01:42:11] Well, we appreciate it when you do. [01:42:12] We know you need a rest. [01:42:13] Julie, thank you so much for being with us this holiday weekend. [01:42:16] Always a pleasure. [01:42:17] You too, Justin. [01:42:18] Take care. [01:42:19] Thanks. [01:42:20] There you go. [01:42:20] Just breaking through some of the parser, some of the biggest, break it down, some of the issues in the Supreme Court cases, what they actually mean, and the fallout of all of it as we continue. [01:42:32] A lot still yet on the table. [01:42:34] In fact, when we come back, bottom of the hour, we've got the latest. [01:42:36] Dr. Fauci pros. [01:42:38] Just how bad the good doctor is. [01:42:42] The bad medicine update you won't want to miss right after this. [01:42:46] Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. [01:44:03] Avoiding the woke mainstream messaging in favor of truth. [01:44:07] More Glenn Beck in a moment. [01:44:30] Is this proof? === Fauci's Obvious Mistake (11:04) === [01:44:32] This has to be proof. [01:44:33] Proof of just how bad the good doctor is. [01:44:39] Fauci is stepped in it again. [01:44:41] And I mean, it's obvious to everyone else. [01:44:44] This is why you don't follow the experts, trust the experts, and all that other stuff. [01:44:50] This is it. [01:44:53] How horrific he was during COVID and all the Nazis. [01:44:58] Now he's out there saying it's unfair. [01:45:00] It's unfair that you well, Anderson. [01:45:02] You know, first thing again, always talking to Anderson Cooper for whatever reason. [01:45:06] Anderson, you know, first of all, you know, it's unfair. [01:45:09] It's unfair to judge Joe Biden's health based on a 90-minute debate. [01:45:14] Excuse me? [01:45:16] Maybe not his health, but his mental state, I think, is clear. [01:45:23] It's obvious. [01:45:24] And it's obvious to me. [01:45:26] And it's obvious to everyone with half a brain or a couple of brain cells working together there at all that Joe Biden didn't have many firing that night. [01:45:34] And probably not ever. [01:45:37] At least not between the hours of 10 and 4, from what we understand. [01:45:41] And certainly not after 8 p.m., Lynch's campaign has now said that they're going to stop. [01:45:45] And he's told governors, Democrat governors, he's going to stop scheduling events after 8 p.m. [01:45:54] Biden, he may have just had, you know, it might have just been a reaction to cold medicines. [01:45:58] You know, I know a thing of that too about the cold. [01:46:05] Because, you know, a cold's a coronavirus. [01:46:07] You know that, right? [01:46:08] Anyway, this is Fauci himself saying that there's nothing wrong with Biden. [01:46:12] It just looked like a bad night because my interaction with him was what I describe in the book. [01:46:19] And what happened even subsequent to what I described in the book after I got out. [01:46:26] You know, he's very probing in his questions, very analytical. [01:46:30] Sure. [01:46:31] Very calm about things. [01:46:32] When you go in to brief him, Major, you better really know your topic because he's going to ask you very relevant questions. [01:46:42] And he's very reflective on things and just doesn't jump out with conclusions or anything, but is very analytic. [01:46:49] So my interactions with him, I have to say, have been very, very positive. [01:46:55] Did you see the debate? [01:46:56] I did. [01:46:58] Did anything about that, what you saw, medically alarm you? [01:47:03] You know, I can't say. [01:47:04] I think it would be inappropriate to say that, Major, because when you just looking at someone on a one-shot. [01:47:13] If it weren't, look, if it weren't yes, he'd just say flat out no. [01:47:19] There wouldn't be, well, I think it's inappropriate. [01:47:21] You know, it's inappropriate for me to say. [01:47:24] Is he talking to Major Garrett there from CBS News? [01:47:28] You just don't know what could happen. [01:47:30] Did he have a bad cold? [01:47:31] You know, did he take an antihistamine today? [01:47:35] No, he did not. [01:47:35] KJP said he did not take anything. [01:47:38] Make him, you know, groggy or what have you. [01:47:40] We don't know what went on, and I think it would be unfair and inappropriate to try and diagnose something from just the 90s. [01:47:48] If it's Trump, they have no problem diagnosing something major. [01:47:53] We can diagnose it. [01:47:55] If it's Trump, it's easy to do. [01:47:57] Biden, you know, I kind of tiptoe here. [01:48:00] Got to tiptoe around all of this. [01:48:05] I got to get the boots on. [01:48:06] There's tiptoeing happening with the boots on, apparently, right now. [01:48:14] Folks are weighing in on the website right now. [01:48:18] Look, I tried to get as many as I can on today to talk to you. [01:48:22] Obviously, phone line's always open, 888-727-B-E-C-K. [01:48:28] That's the number if you want to join in. [01:48:31] But a lot of people find it easier because they don't have to wait on the phone, et cetera, and holiday weekend just to go online. [01:48:37] JustinBarkley.com, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y, JustinBarkley.com. [01:48:40] You hit the red button. [01:48:41] It's a talk back button. [01:48:42] It'll send your message to me, and I can play it like I do for Adam. [01:48:45] Hey, Justin. [01:48:46] Thanks for the opportunity to sound off. [01:48:49] I was thinking maybe Joe was thinking that it was Christmas in July, and that's why he said, ho, ho, ho. [01:48:57] Also, in the religious realm, did you happen to know that in the olden days, way back when, when there were no picture shows, that when Satan or the devil would come out on stage for, say, like an opera show or whatever, that he would announce his presence on stage by saying, oh, oh, oh. [01:49:25] Oh. [01:49:26] Thank you. [01:49:27] I did not know. [01:49:30] That's new on me. [01:49:31] I had no idea. [01:49:32] But that makes a lot make sense now. [01:49:38] Happy Independence Day. [01:49:40] Ho, ho, ho. [01:49:43] By the way, that was from last night. [01:49:45] It's not the worst from Biden. [01:49:47] We had another clip on a Philadelphia radio show, WURD. [01:49:52] This has just come out. [01:49:54] Him claiming to be the first, he's the first black woman to serve with a black president. [01:49:59] I'm proud to be the president. [01:50:00] As I said, the first vice president, first black woman served with a black president. [01:50:08] I don't know. [01:50:09] Maybe that's taken out of content. [01:50:10] Maybe he's trying to say that he's proud that he has the first black woman vice president and that he served with Obama. [01:50:19] I don't know. [01:50:19] I won't beat him up over that. [01:50:21] There's plenty more. [01:50:22] There's plenty. [01:50:22] There's enough out there to beat him up over. [01:50:27] And that's obviously Goal anyway, but it is the goal to at least discuss, at least talk about what is really, really happening. [01:50:41] And of course, because again, the media has been absolutely silent on this for the last two years, and they're just now discovering this. [01:50:50] You can imagine what it's got to be tough for them, though. [01:50:53] The media just now discovering that all of a sudden there's something wrong with Joe. [01:50:56] All of a sudden, they're just now discovering this. [01:50:59] KJP having to answer tough questions in the briefing room. [01:51:03] I am for sure. [01:51:04] And so that has been something he has consistently done over the past couple of days for sure, for certain. [01:51:10] Have an afternoon nap every day. [01:51:13] Let me be very clear about this. [01:51:16] This is a president that wakes up every morning and puts the American people first. [01:51:21] That's what he does. [01:51:23] Wakes up every morning. [01:51:24] Probably doesn't even know his name at first. [01:51:26] The question was just a simple question. [01:51:29] Does he take an afternoon nap? [01:51:30] There's nothing wrong with an afternoon nap, a little siesta. [01:51:34] Lots of folks do this around the world. [01:51:36] In fact, I don't mind a little siesta myself here and there. [01:51:39] I think that's kind of nice. [01:51:41] In fact, to me, that's the ultimate luxury. [01:51:44] I get a little C. [01:51:44] I got a week of vacation coming up next week. [01:51:47] I'm taking some time, be with a family and whatnot. [01:51:50] I think I'm going to take a siesta. [01:51:53] No doubt, Glenn probably, I don't know, maybe there's nothing stopping him. [01:51:57] Maybe he's not going to take it. [01:51:58] But why wouldn't you get a little siesta, get a little nap in? [01:52:01] I don't think there's anything wrong with that. [01:52:03] That's not the problem. [01:52:04] With the question, it's her answer. [01:52:05] Listen to that. [01:52:06] She can't even answer, does he take a nap? [01:52:08] He does that every single day. [01:52:11] That is his focus. [01:52:12] I am not going to speak to sources out there, unnamed sources out there. [01:52:18] That's not what I'm going to speak to. [01:52:19] I'm going to speak to what I know, what this president does, and how he is committed to the work of the president. [01:52:26] Unknown sources, there's a deep throat who is talking about the naps the president is taking. [01:52:31] Can't even answer that. [01:52:33] You just can't even answer that. [01:52:35] Here's a serious question that they're talking about. [01:52:36] Was the president still tired 12 days after returning from Europe? [01:52:40] Because they try to say it was jet lag and then he had a cold. [01:52:43] And then if he did have a cold and he was jet lagged in, why? [01:52:46] And I think it's a fair question. [01:52:48] Why did he then go to Waffle House and expose everyone to his cold? [01:52:53] Why wasn't he wearing a mask? [01:52:55] Fauci ought to answer that question too. [01:52:56] But this is a question being asked in the briefing room here from Faxu's Jackie Heinrich. [01:53:04] Sure. [01:53:05] How is it that the president was still tired 12 days after returning from Europe, had a cold, but then went to the Waffle House, and then the following day, staged such a huge comeback that he gave those North Carolina remarks. [01:53:20] Like, help us understand. [01:53:21] Have you had a cold before? [01:53:22] Of course it helps. [01:53:24] Listen to her answer. [01:53:24] Have you ever had a cold before? [01:53:26] She's talking there. [01:53:27] Like, she's incredulous. [01:53:28] I can't believe it. [01:53:29] Have you never had a cold? [01:53:30] You don't know what the cold's like? [01:53:31] Understand you had a cold before. [01:53:33] Of course I have okay, so you probably. [01:53:35] Well, come on. [01:53:36] Come on Jackie, let's be very let's. [01:53:38] I I return though, but you also yesterday. [01:53:42] Hold on a second. [01:53:43] There's a cold, there's a jet lag, you combine that. [01:53:47] He continues to work on the with for the American people. [01:53:50] I think he's got a head gold. [01:53:51] There's something going on in the in the head. [01:53:54] Here's a sound off from Ruth. [01:53:58] Americans have to start learning how to listen for what's not said rather than just what is said. [01:54:07] The Democrat governors came out and said Joe's in it to win it, but they never said they thought Joe was capable of running in this country or being our commander-in-chief. [01:54:21] God bless America. [01:54:23] Yeah well, Ruth. [01:54:24] Thank you, by the way uh everyone Ruth Adam, anyone who I? [01:54:28] Uh was able to play on the air today, I will send a copy of my book good news, hope and encouragement for trying times. [01:54:34] Very good point, though I don't think he's capable not just of running. [01:54:36] I don't think he's capable of running the country, not just running for the job uh, but that's. [01:54:42] That's a whole nother piece and a very, I think, an obvious piece that uh, that's being overlooked right now, but the part of the reason why is because uh, a lot of folks and she's always been the insurance policy, but a lot of folks um, just just terrified of the prospect of what would happen if Kamala became president of the United States. [01:55:08] Because, you know, right now, as it is, as it is now um you've, you've got, you've got a, you've got a Biden in there who, I think clear, he's not running anything and there are folks behind the scenes running this. [01:55:20] But she might be a little too involved and she actually might get in there and muck it up a little bit. [01:55:24] She might get too involved and boy, that's enough to to terrify everyone. [01:55:30] So uh, you know you mean i'm talking about she might be a little too burdened to be unburdened. === Unburdened by What Has Been (02:38) === [01:55:37] I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been. [01:55:40] You know what can be unburdened by what has been, what can be unburdened by what has been, what can be unburdened by what has been, what can be Unburdened by what has been. [01:55:58] We can see what we believe can be. [01:56:01] Unburdened by what has been. [01:56:03] Come on now. [01:56:03] What can be? [01:56:04] Yes. [01:56:05] Unburdened by what has been. [01:56:07] What can be? [01:56:08] Unburdened by what has been. [01:56:10] What can be unburdened by what has been. [01:56:13] You know what's clear to me? [01:56:15] Word salad cami here has oh, she's got a new nickname, too. [01:56:20] This comes straight from Trump. [01:56:21] I want to get to that coming up here in just a little bit. [01:56:24] Plus, I've got some good news. [01:56:26] On a patriotic note, I'd like to wrap things up with a bit of good news, things that I noticed the last day or so. [01:56:34] So we'll get to that and much, much more. [01:56:37] Back after this, Justin Barclay filled in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program. [01:58:03] Good Ranchers, American meat delivered. === Trump's New Nickname for Harris (03:38) === [01:58:15] So we've got to do it. [01:58:16] We've got a new nickname for Kamala Harris. [01:58:20] I call her a word salad cammy, but President Trump has given her a new nickname. [01:58:26] And this is probably going to stick. [01:58:28] In a statement for the Trump campaign on the total collapse of the Democrat Party, Joe Biden is weak. [01:58:33] It reads in part. [01:58:34] Failed, dishonest, and not fit for the White House. [01:58:37] Every one of them has lied about Joe Biden's cognitive state, talking about the media, and supported his disastrous policies over the past four years. [01:58:45] And probably Democrats, but I repeat myself. [01:58:48] Especially cackling co-pilot Kamala Harris. [01:58:53] Cackling Kamala. [01:58:55] That sounds like it's going to stick. [01:58:57] It's probably going to land pretty well. [01:58:59] And that'll be a good one. [01:59:03] All right. [01:59:04] How about some good news, some hope and encouragement for trying times, a bit of patriotic news from the parades and the fireworks all yesterday? [01:59:12] It seems like it may have been one of the most uplifting and positive, hope-filled Independence Day celebrations I can remember in a while now. [01:59:22] I just went to a couple of different places and saw some parades and some things and people out in full force. [01:59:27] And that always, to me, is really cool to see. [01:59:31] There was an interesting moment, fireworks and things like that. [01:59:33] But yesterday, Yankees Red Sox, the Yankees Reds, national anthem, there was a standoff that happened yesterday. [01:59:43] And this is what happened when they finished the anthem. [01:59:47] I have full faith in Graham Ashcraft. [01:59:48] Marcus Strowman is now warming up. [01:59:52] And the players refuse to actually leave the field. [01:59:55] They've got their hands over their hats over their hearts, and they refuse to leave the field after the anthem. [02:00:00] Play-by-play of a standoff on your resume, Tate. [02:00:03] Alex Blandino had a great one against the Pirates players. [02:00:06] There are two players from the Yankees and one from the Cincinnati Reds. [02:00:10] This is my first time standing on the field, and they're in a standoff here. [02:00:14] And here comes Jonathan in the end of the circle. [02:00:16] He's ready to go. [02:00:17] They're ready to get the game started. [02:00:19] These guys all leave. [02:00:20] Ending off the track. [02:00:23] This has got to be a record, right? [02:00:25] Go to the Yankees players. [02:00:26] Oh, and Graham Ashcraft wins the game before the game. [02:00:30] It's just kind of, I think, you know what? [02:00:32] Uplifting to see that. [02:00:34] And one other piece. [02:00:35] You know, I got that talk back feature on my website, so people send me messages from time to time. [02:00:39] And I just saw this yesterday. [02:00:41] It comes from a man who noticed something as I play the national anthem to start my show each and every day, both on 9, 10 a.m. in Detroit and on News Radio with 1300-1069FM in Grand Rapids. [02:00:54] Hey, Justin, I just want to let you know I appreciate your program and how you started out with the national anthem. [02:01:03] This morning I'm waiting to get my truck trailer loaded. [02:01:07] I was sitting in my truck as the national anthem came out. [02:01:12] So I cranked it up as loud as I could, put my windows down, and I looked out of the corner of my eye, and I see this homeless guy climb out from under a trailer where he's hiding out, I guess. [02:01:27] And he stands up and he's got his right hand over his heart, and he's rocking back and forth as the Star-Spangled banner is blaring out of the cab of my truck. [02:01:39] I just thought that was really cool, and I just wanted to. [02:01:42] God bless him, and God bless America. [02:01:45] Great things still happening across the country. [02:01:48] Justin Barklay, JustinBarkley.com. [02:01:51] I'm everywhere at Mr. Justin Barklay.
