[00:00:53]  So yesterday, we played this audio from Barack Obama, and I want you to listen as a scientist.

[00:01:25]  I think by the time I was an adolescent and had moved back from Indonesia and was struggling with these issues of racial identity and a father not being in the house, I think that I reacted by engaging in a lot of behavior that's not untypical of black males across the country.

[00:01:57]  Basketball?
[00:01:58]  I didn't take school that seriously.

[00:02:03]  I got into fights.

[00:02:07]  I drank and consumed substances that weren't always legal.

[00:02:20]  And, you know, I think generally was acting out in ways that when I look back on it, I understand.
[00:02:33]  I think that what got me through those years was a natural aptitude for schooling.

[00:02:41]  Which meant that I didn't have to pay attention too much to be able to keep at least.

[00:05:15]  Then I stopped drinking and they come out with all these great flavors.
[00:05:20]  Of course, if they have beer that, you know, tastes like cookies, I would have been dead.
[00:05:25]  Maybe it would have been gone.
[00:05:26]  I've got a snickerdoodle ale here for now.
[00:05:28]  Oh, well, we're going to get to it in a minute.
[00:05:29]  Now, the problem with this one is I do this shot here, home.

[00:38:48]  You add in the lesser-known cases that we know of, and the accused doubles.
[00:38:55]  Numbers are pretty easy to find, but guess which numbers aren't?

[00:39:03]  Good luck finding those.
[00:39:05]  Maybe we should take Kavanaugh and just throw him in the water and see if he floats.

[00:40:37]  The Senate voting on Brett Kavanaugh 12 months to the day when all of this began.
[00:40:43]  Over the past year, we have never seen any of these Me Too cases played out in a courtroom.
[00:40:50]  But now we've seen one, and we see the mob salivating for Kavanaugh's head, even though there is no evidence and no cooperation.
[00:40:59]  And everyone said the accuser could back up her story.
[00:41:04]  All of the accusers flatly denied it ever happened.
[00:41:08]  Or at least said, I have no knowledge of it.
[00:41:12]  The only thing that existed was the accusation.
[00:41:16]  And that right there is the story of the past 365 days.
[00:41:23]  I don't know what happened to Professor Ford.
[00:41:26]  I have no idea.
[00:41:28]  I don't know if there was an actual witchcraft that was being practiced in the woods.
[00:41:35]  But I, for one, am not willing to declare someone a witch or a warlock without hard evidence.
[00:41:46]  I feel bad for Professor Ford.
[00:41:50]  I also think I wouldn't want to be around her in the afterlife if she was lying.
[00:41:58]  We do know that at least one of the accusers was lying.
[00:42:04]  We want to believe people because we want to believe that there's no way anyone would do this for politics.
[00:42:11]  That's the goodness in America.
[00:42:15]  Don't lose sight of that goodness.
[00:42:18]  Don't lose sight of the fairness that each American has.
[00:42:22]  That is why what is happening in Washington, D.C. is going to bode very, very poorly for those who are involved in this smear campaign.
[00:42:33]  Because Americans are fair.
[00:42:37]  And what they've done to the Kavanaugh family, this very public process, has given us a glimpse into what it looks like when the rule of law is replaced by mob rule.
[00:42:50]  This process has been ugly, painful, and hopefully it has taught us a big lesson.
[00:42:55]  The presumption of innocence is one of our founding principles.
[00:42:59]  It is why we came here in the first place.
[00:43:04]  And if we abandon that principle, what happened to Judge Kavanaugh will be the standard for all of us and our children.

[00:44:53]  Now, Leland Keeser was the best friend to Christine Ford when this incident about Kavanaugh allegedly took place and was named by Ford as an eyewitness.
[00:45:05]  Keeser all along has said, I don't remember anything like this.
[00:45:08]  I don't even know Judge Kavanaugh.
[00:45:10]  Well, now the journal is reporting that Ford's people, and they name a woman, Monica McClain, texted Keeser and said, hey, you got to change your testimony.
[00:45:24]  You got to help Christine.
[00:45:26]  That's a huge story.
[00:45:28]  It's an enormous story.
[00:45:29]  There is also another story in the FBI testimony that it shows the leak came from Chuck Schumer, that it was Chuck Schumer's office in cahoots with one of the beach ladies that Ford talked about.

[00:45:49]  Well, I don't think there's any doubt about Chuck Schumer or Dianne Feinstein at this point that they are corrupt.

[00:46:00]  This Monica McLean, by the way, this was the woman who Ford's ex-boyfriend told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Ford tried to help her get through a lie detector test because she was applying for a job at the FBI.

[00:46:25]  Now, this may seem in the weeds, but if the Judiciary Committee, and I believe Grassley may do this, I hope so.
[00:46:34]  He could haul Monica McLean and others in Ford's camp in front of the committee, and he could bring back Ford and say, you lied to us about the lie detector test.
[00:46:50]  If that happens, Ford could be prosecuted.

[01:07:04]  The press accepted it as fact and made it easier for people to come through.

[01:08:54]  Just the no vote going against every single one of her colleagues isolates her and puts her in a pariah.

[01:14:59]  And he said, I thought this was interesting.
[01:15:00]  He said, we're all kind of doing the same thing, me and you.
[01:15:04]  He goes, we look at the world.
[01:15:06]  We don't like what's happening.
[01:15:09]  Right.
[01:15:10]  And you're all the same.
[01:15:10]  So he first tried to fix it by changing people's hearts in church.
[01:15:15]  And then he tried to fix it by changing laws.
[01:15:18]  Right.
[01:15:19]  And I'm doing the same thing.
[01:15:20]  I see it.
[01:15:21]  I'm trying to fix it by like changing people's minds.
[01:15:24]  Have you ever heard a well-thought-out comedy bit?
[01:15:27]  You're like, oh, man, that is so true.
[01:15:30]  And it changes the way you think about this comedy.
[01:15:32]  It's, it breaks down the walls of like, you're like, oh, man, that's hilarious.
[01:15:37]  So what is your, so then what are you trying to change?
[01:15:39]  What are you trying to say?
[01:15:42]  What I would prefer is somebody that's just going to change me from an angry person to give me 90 minutes of not caring about anything.
[01:15:51]  Yeah, and that's what a lot of people say at our comedy shows is like, we, you know, we, we had a lady that had, she has a cancer and she came to my show.
[01:15:59]  She's thinking, but every, she goes, every minute of my day, I think about this disease in my body.
[01:16:04]  But for that two hours that I was at your show, I felt like I was free.
[01:16:08]  And that's it.
[01:16:09]  That's all we're trying to do.
[01:16:11]  You know what I'm saying?
[01:16:11]  But it gets harder and harder, I suppose, every day.
[01:16:14]  But is it hard to not talk about things that are well, the good thing about being a comedian is I don't have to have like a stance.
[01:16:23]  You kind of have to have like a stance.
[01:16:25]  What does he, they tune in to know what you think about.
[01:16:28]  I just have to make it like somebody's like, what do you think about?
[01:16:31]  I was like, that's not right.
[01:16:32]  I don't have to.

[01:16:34]  Like, I don't know.
[01:16:35]  But if it's funny, because a lot of times comedians now, if you look at your Explorer page on Twitter for comedians, it's like, it's not funny.

[01:16:45]  They're going for, they're like, you're going for claptor.
[01:16:48]  Yeah.
[01:16:48]  Or like, I'm not a politician.
[01:16:50]  I'm not like a sociologist.
[01:16:52]  I'm here to make people laugh.
[01:16:54]  And if you want to get politics, you can go to get that.
[01:16:59]  It's not my job, at least on the internet.
[01:17:01]  Yeah, Amy Schumer was arrested yesterday at the program.
[01:17:04]  I saw that.
[01:17:05]  And like, Amy Schumer was a, at one point, and I know this is going to be shocking to everybody in the audience, a brilliant comedian.

[01:17:12]  Yeah, she's great.
[01:17:13]  She really is.
[01:17:13]  And fame has turned her into an activist who gets arrested at rallies.
[01:17:19]  And that's a totally different world.

[01:17:25]  You know, I tell you, though, I think the smart comedians are the ones like Gaffigan.
[01:17:30]  Yeah, they're just like, hey, you don't think Jim Gaffigan is a taxpaying working?
[01:17:34]  You don't think he has political opinions?
[01:17:36]  Oh, yeah.
[01:17:36]  He sure does.
[01:17:36]  That's what I'm saying.

[01:17:38]  Of course he does.
[01:17:39]  He's like, yeah, that's not really.
[01:17:40]  Now, some people are politically minded and smart.
[01:17:43]  And you're like, oh, that's a, but some people are like, you're like, oh, yeah, you don't know what you're talking about.

[01:17:49]  You're like, oh, yeah, this is a problem.
[01:17:52]  But that's why you, I mean, your comedy is different because you were told, write what you know, right?

[01:17:59]  I grew up in the South.
[01:18:00]  My dad's a pastor.
[01:18:01]  I was homeschooled, one of eight kids.
[01:18:03]  You can probably guess politically where we fall.
[01:18:07]  So like, I don't, but like if you, if you're going to, let's say somebody's like, John, write a joke about smoking pot.
[01:18:15]  I don't know of that world.
[01:18:19]  So it's not going to be the extent of my knowledge is going to be like, smoked pot and then went to Taco Bell.
[01:18:24]  Like that's all I, I know the 80,000 foot view of that life.
[01:18:29]  But if you're talking about like Christian culture, growing up in church, the South, sports, like these are kind of areas where I've like, like, I have this bit of this lady that has a Bible verse for every type of situation.
[01:18:42]  And people are like, how'd you memorize all those verses?
[01:18:44]  Like, that's in my head.
[01:18:45]  That's just, I've lived that life.
[01:18:48]  It's just in my head.
[01:18:48]  I don't have to memorize.
[01:18:49]  That's just who I am.
[01:18:50]  So you're going to be a great comic.
[01:18:52]  You stick to what you know.
[01:18:53]  And a lot of people say you should, like, when I went, I lived in Hollywood for four or five years and they were like, hey, you need to get rid of this like Christian angles because it doesn't appeal to everybody.

[01:19:06]  You cannot get tickets to any of your shows.
[01:19:08]  Yeah, well, apparently somebody's coming.
[01:19:10]  Yeah, somebody as it turns out.
[01:19:12]  But I don't think it's, you don't think like you in today, there's so like it used to be when like Johnny Carson could put you on the tonight show and you could be famous forever.
[01:19:23]  And that would make your career.
[01:19:24]  If he invited you over to the couch as a comedian, your Sarah Shanling was set for life and you could tour the United States for the rest of your life.
[01:19:32]  But now there's so much HBO, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, there's so much.
[01:19:38]  You don't need to be broad.
[01:19:40]  I was at in Cleveland and there was the theater right across in the comedy club and it was sold out.
[01:19:44]  There's a line around the block.
[01:19:46]  And I go, who's performing?
[01:19:48]  You would think like the Beatles or somebody like some kid I never heard of.
[01:19:52]  Yeah.
[01:19:52]  No, it's I go, that's amazing.
[01:19:54]  I love, that's amazing to me where you don't have to just go see the end comedy is very subjective.
[01:20:01]  So you could love someone and be like, Glenn, check this guy out.
[01:20:04]  And you could be like, not for me.
[01:20:06]  Yeah.

[01:20:06]  Yeah.
[01:20:06]  Because comedy is very subjective.

[01:21:35]  It's crazy how people are in church and they're fine and that, but they're looking at their watch like, okay, come on.

[01:21:46]  It's like, because I make all these, I make two videos a week, and some of them connect and some of them don't.

[01:21:54]  Sometimes it's people like, yes, thank you.

[01:21:57]  And sometimes you like put your heart and soul into something.
[01:21:59]  Everybody's like, you're like, what?

[01:22:03]  Yeah, because I don't think you even have to be a Christian or a church going person to you've heard about that from your wife.

[01:22:15]  And it's just the, what's funny is the juxtaposition of, oh, we love Jesus, you know, God first, serve others.

[01:22:26]  That's the human spirit.

[01:22:29]  Like, if you like, you see someone on TV and they're given a rundown and you just go, that's not right.

[01:22:40]  You just know because everyone is a human.
[01:22:42]  So you're like, you can spot insincerity and why everybody loves that is because everyone, when people get mad at my jokes at the live show, because you're going to come and the whole crew is going to come tonight.

[01:41:30]  And man, if that doesn't make me hesitate and wonder what the hell is in that thing, you know, I mean, I don't know.

[01:41:37]  I mean, if Mike Lee is voting no on something, it's not like Mike Lee doesn't drug victims, right?
[01:41:42]  Can I just say, I'm sorry, Pat, as a guy who lives in excruciating pain his whole life, as me, a guy who has woken up on the operating table, they cannot keep me down.
[01:41:56]  My body doesn't process that stuff like other people.
[01:42:00]  And I've woken up in the middle of surgery, scared the hell out of the anesthesiologist, but woken up.

[01:43:14]  And there does seem to be a legitimate medical use for a lot of people to use opioids.

[01:43:31]  But I don't know about you, but my doctors are really vigilant about it.

[01:43:54]  He's like, I think he's one of the worst. pain patients that I have.
[01:43:59]  He's like, I don't know how he does it.
[01:44:02]  And so we always talk about it.
[01:44:03]  And he's told me that his, his, the government is coming down on opioids so hard.
[01:44:08]  He's like, I don't know how people like Pat are going to really, I mean, it's going to be hard.
[01:44:13]  And they're, you know, you got to do drug testing almost every time now.
[01:44:17]  Almost every time.
[01:44:18]  Really?
[01:44:19]  Yeah.
[01:44:19]  To make sure you're not doctor shopping, I guess, and getting drugs from somebody else and you don't have anything in your system, but what's supposed to be there.
[01:44:26]  Almost every time I go, I get a drug test.
[01:44:29]  Seriously.
[01:44:31]  And doctor shopping is an interesting allegation, right?
[01:44:34]  Yeah.
[01:44:34]  The idea that different doctors would have different approaches to a particular medical ailment is not surprising, right?
[01:44:40]  Like you would go to a doctor because you think they're treating it better than maybe somebody else.
[01:44:44]  No, that's not doctor shopping.
[01:44:46]  Well, that's what I'm saying is the search for doctor shopping allegations can sometimes encompass some people who are doing it.
[01:44:52]  You can get people who are doing something legitimate.
[01:44:55]  Yeah.

[01:44:56]  But there are a lot of people who will go and try to get, you know, whatever they can from somebody.
[01:45:01]  They're pernicious drugs, but it's like anything.
