Epoch Times - Behind Beijing’s Trade Talks Strategy | Chairman John Moolenaar, House CCP Select Committee Aired: 2025-10-23 Duration: 01:16 === Strategic Leverage Play (01:15) === [00:00:00] I think they are putting every bit of leverage on the table so that in a negotiation they can in some way relent in a small way and still keep their negotiated gains in the negotiations. [00:00:13] So I do think there's a strategic aspect. [00:00:15] So you see that with critical minerals. [00:00:17] You see it with the religious persecution. [00:00:21] You see it with other export controls. [00:00:24] them denying NVIDIA H-20 chips. [00:00:30] So they're setting up this negotiation line. [00:00:34] I'm watching them refusing to buy soybeans right now. [00:00:39] You know going to that agreement that one of their tactics will be, well, we'll buy a certain amount of American soybeans. [00:00:46] Aren't we being cooperative? [00:00:49] When they set up the entire problem to begin with, they're going to do that on rare earths. [00:00:55] They're going to do that on other issues. [00:00:58] They may release some political prisoners, all with the idea of see how reasonable we are. [00:01:08] I believe America needs to really stand with a firm resolve at this time and say that's not acceptable.
