Epoch Times - "America lost a legend…an ambassador to an entire generation”: Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer Aired: 2025-09-20 Duration: 02:35 === Charlie Kirk's Legacy (02:35) === [00:00:00] Charlie was a friend of mine and it's one of those things, you know it can happen. [00:00:05] You don't think it ever will happen, but then it did happen and America lost a legend. [00:00:11] The body of Christ lost an ambassador to an entire generation. [00:00:14] I called him America's youth pastor and a wife lost a husband. [00:00:20] Two kids lost their father and many of us we lost a friend. [00:00:24] But at the same time, I recognize that Charlie Kirk gained his eternal reward. [00:00:31] And he heard the words that I want to hear. [00:00:33] Well done, my good and faithful servant. [00:00:36] And Charlie's more alive today than you and I are right here. [00:00:40] And so we rejoice with him, but obviously mourn for his family, the Turning Point USA family. [00:00:47] And then we have to ask the question, you know, how now shall we live in the aftermath of what just took place? [00:00:54] Because it's awful, not just the assassination, but the response by so many fellow Americans who are celebrating his death, who are mocking his death. [00:01:05] And so it goes to show you that our culture is in desperate need of healing and restoration. [00:01:12] You know, people say he was full of hate speech, right? [00:01:15] I don't think so. [00:01:16] I think they just hated his speech because he was so good at what he did. [00:01:19] He would allow people to express their opinions. [00:01:22] And then he would give an argument that was in a gentle manner, but was in a convincing manner. [00:01:28] And so Charlie would reach you in your mind, but also he'd reach you in your heart because Charlie cared about people. [00:01:35] It wasn't the person was not the enemy. [00:01:38] The idea might have been the enemy, but the person was not the enemy. [00:01:43] And so that resonated with people because here was a person that I think they understood. [00:01:50] He doesn't hate me. [00:01:52] He actually cares about me. [00:01:54] He's listening to me. [00:01:55] He just disagrees with the ideas that maybe I have. [00:01:59] That's why Charlie was taken out because he was so good at reasoning with people and talking with people and he was so effective. [00:02:09] And that was why he was so dangerous in the sense of he was able to dismantle ideas and arguments in a way without being violent, without being mean or spiteful or anything like that. [00:02:22] And so, no, Charlie Kirk's approach did not fail. [00:02:26] It was extremely successful. [00:02:28] And it's the model that we need to adopt moving forward if we're going to bring healing and restoration to the country.
