[00:00:00]  When I go to the grocery stores and I see a $20 item locked up, there's something wrong.

[00:00:06]  Things are colliding right now.
[00:00:07]  Crime actually going up.
[00:00:09]  That's what you're seeing as a result of policy change.
[00:00:11]  The Public Safety Committee, they're supposed to be the ones that are assisting the law enforcement officers in making sure the laws get through that keep us safe.

[00:00:19]  We have two Public Safety Committees, a Senate Public Safety Committee and an Assembly Public Safety Committee.
[00:00:23]  We got five from the LA area, five from the Bay Area.
[00:00:26]  The large majority of those make up places where you have a lot of these very soft on crime policies that they're coming from.
[00:00:33]  Look at those areas.
[00:00:34]  It's the rotting underbelly of California.
[00:00:35]  If we just strictly use common sense, why are the homeless numbers going up?
[00:00:39]  Why is mental health at the level that it is right now?
[00:00:42]  Why do we realize the capacity issues that aren't there?
[00:00:45]  Why is business having to lock up that $20 item?
[00:00:48]  That's all Because of these policies.
