Epoch Times - Here's Why Everybody Thinks Of Leaving San Francisco #californiainsider #sanfrancisco #tonyhall Aired: 2023-10-24 Duration: 00:52 [00:00:00] San Francisco was glorious. [00:00:01] I first went to San Francisco in 1964. [00:00:04] I had done a lot of traveling around, working in different cities. [00:00:07] There was no place as beautiful, benevolent, and whose people were more alive. [00:00:12] I've raised my seven children there. [00:00:13] I love the city, the culture, everything about it, more than the way it's going today. [00:00:17] What's happening today is it's on an accelerated decline. [00:00:21] The problems are manmade. [00:00:22] We've got an abnormal amount of street crime. [00:00:25] It's in your face. [00:00:26] Corporations and businesses can no longer make a living. [00:00:30] Nordstrom, Target, CVS, Walgreens, their profit margin is very little. [00:00:35] And when you start stealing, they're saying, look, we'd rather not operate in an area where we're not going to make any profit. [00:00:40] That's what's happening between crime, the homeless on the streets. [00:00:44] Not that they're the cause of all the crime, but the very fact they're present is deterring people from coming. [00:00:49] Corporations don't want to deal with that, so they're leaving the city.
