Back in the year 2022, when you already had the Ukraine-Russia war raging, and it was putting a lot of pressure on the fertilizer supply, the wheat exports, and you had politicians all across the world saying, hey, there's a real possibility of a food crisis coming on the horizon. | |
It was at that time that a lot of these farmer protests began happening. | |
And of course, as a reporter, I'm always looking for an interesting story, and so I saw that, and I'm like, okay, that makes sense. | |
I mean, there's macroeconomic problems. | |
I'm sure they're protesting about that. | |
But then you look into it, it's like, no, these farmers are protesting their own government who's handcuffing them and putting them out of business. | |
So it's like, that doesn't make any sense. | |
Like, why would that be happening, right? |
