Bank of America does the UNTHINKABLE to Jan 6 Customers
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Two days ago, right here on our program, we went through the recent Supreme Court decision, the unanimous Supreme Court decision, I should add, which now allows the IRS to secretly gain access to the bank records of Americans, even if those Americans are not under any sort of federal investigation.
Now, that particular episode was fairly well-received, getting both a lot of views as well as a fair bit of comments from people who were not too pleased.
However, the IRS is not the only three-letter agency looking to get their grubby hands on our data.
For instance, there's also the FBI. And once you know it, according to a whistleblower who provided testimony to the House Judiciary Committee, Bank of America, one of the largest banks in the country, of their own volition, handed over January 6 banking records without informing their customers.
Again, I repeat, Bank of America did this, for one, without telling their actual customers, And secondly, they did this voluntarily, completely of their own volition.
The FBI did not ask them to do this.
Furthermore, if you happen to have purchased a gun using your Bank of America debit card, your Bank of America credit card, a check from Bank of America, or a wire transfer, well then you, my friend, got bumped up to the very top of the FBI list when the bank sent it over.
And if this all sounds too Orwellian to be true, well, let's go through the details together.
And as always, I hope that if you appreciate content like this, you do take a super quick moment to smash those like and subscribe buttons, and perhaps leave a little comment below the video as well in order to tickle the YouTube algorithm so that this video, as well as this critical information, can reach ever more people.
Now, the whistleblower in question, the one that blew the lid on this whole Bank of America story, was a supervisory intelligence analyst over at the FBI named Mr. George.
George Hill.
And according to Mr.
Mr. Hill, here's what exactly took place over at Bank of America.
Quote, The Bank of America, with no directive from the FBI, data mined its customer base.
This data mining comprised transactions made between January 5th of 2021 and January 7th of 2021.
Specifically, they targeted transactions made in Washington or nearby counties in Maryland and Virginia.
Meaning, without anyone asking them to, Bank of America data mined their customer base who happened to be in the Washington, D.C. area on or around January 6th of 2021.
Now, there was an exchange between Mr.
Hill, the whistleblower, and an investigator with the House Judiciary Committee, which shed light on who exactly was being targeted.
Here is the exchange for your reference.
The investigator asks, Mr.
Hill said, Then, subsequently in the interaction, Mr.
Hill shed some light on which people were being flagged as being the, you can say, highest priority targets.
Here's how the exchange went.
Quote, Mr.
Hill, quote, Those who had purchased a gun at some point in time, any time, were bumped to the top of the list given to the FBI. The flag for firearm purchases wasn't limited to purchases made in Washington and the surrounding area, but applied to any firearm purchased anywhere at any point in time using a Bank of America account.
Meaning that if you purchased a firearm at any point in time, anywhere in the country, using your Bank of America credit card or debit card, your name would have made it to the very, very, very top of the FBI list.
And by the way, Mr.
Hill mentioned that this was not even something that the FBI requested.
But rather, Bank of America just gave them this data of their own volition.
Here's the exchange in relevant part.
Quote, investigator, quote, Mr.
Hale responds, correct.
So my understanding of the FBI domestic investigations and operations guide and amateur assessment based on law is that, you know, if a citizen sees a crime in commission, There's nothing wrong with injecting that and opening up a case.
But, to my knowledge, using a debit card in the District of Columbia does not provide adequate predication for the investigation of a crime.
There was no legal process asking for information.
Bank of America had acted entirely on its own accord.
Now at this point you might be saying, hey Roman, this sounds pretty bad, but this is just the word of one whistleblower.
Is he actually telling the truth?
Well, this whistleblower's testimony was actually corroborated by Mr.
Joseph Benevolanta, who is currently the special agent in charge of the FBI's Boston office.
And he not only corroborated the fact that the office did in fact receive this information from Bank of America, but he even elaborated a bit further on what this Bank of America information actually contained.
Here was his testimony.
Quote, Aggregated a list of individuals that were supposedly living in the New England area who either have potentially made certain credit card purchases for hotel reservations or plane tickets or potential purchases at gun stores in and around January 6.
Furthermore, in addition to this January 6 data, the bank also sent the FBI info on travel and lodging fees planned for the inauguration date, January 20, in that time frame.
Meaning that Bank of America was sending the Boston office, the list of their customers in the New England area who happened to have purchased tickets or lodging, going to Washington, D.C. And you can imagine that they were sending the exact same thing to the different field offices for the FBI across the whole country.
The Boston office got the people in New England, and I'm sure the other offices got their local areas as well.
Basically, if you had a Bank of America account, You should assume that your data was sent to the local FBI office.
Now, there are two interesting points to mention here.
The first is that this special agent in charge of the FBI Boston office, he said that the data they received from the Bank of America was pretty much useless to them.
They did not request it and they could do pretty much nothing with the material.
It was inactionable.
The second interesting point is that shortly after he gave his testimony, well, interestingly enough, Mr.
Bonavolanta, this agent in charge of the FBI office, he suddenly announced his retirement.
It could just be a coincidence, but it just so happens that after 27 years, he suddenly put out an official statement saying that he decided to retire.
You can decide for yourself what you believe was happening behind the scenes over at the FBI. Regardless, shortly after this testimony from these two FBI insiders, while the House Republicans within the Judiciary Committee, they put out a report writing this as a concluding commentary.
The FBI seemingly worked with a major financial institution to receive, without legal process, financial records about Americans.
This invasion of the privacy of American citizens is highly concerning.
And so this is suddenly the world we find ourselves in, whether it's the Supreme Court in a unanimous decision allowing the IRS to get their hands on our bank records, or it's the banks themselves deciding to hand over to the FBI our data if they don't like us visiting the nation's capital on a certain day.
Well, the reality is that, very likely, someone over at the federal government has the authority to get their hands on your bank records, whether you like it or not.
It kind of reminds me of that famous quote by Ernest Hemingway.
How did you go bankrupt?
Two ways.
Gradually, then suddenly.
Although, in this case, we can change it to, how did you lose your right to privacy?
Two ways.
Gradually, then suddenly.
And along that line, it seems like, all of a sudden, we live in a world where the IRS can secretly access our bank records without any federal investigation, and the banks themselves are going ahead and turning over our data to the government without even the government having to ask.
I guess this is what they were talking about when they said that we should get used to the new normal.
Regardless though, wait a minute, is it raining money?
Or rather, I should say that this is fake money being printed into oblivion by those geniuses over in Washington, D.C. And so before they completely obliterate your life savings, what I recommend you do is to convert that fake money into real money, which is physical gold and silver.
And the best company to use is the sponsor of today's episode, American Hartford Gold.
Who also happens to be my own personal gold and silver bullion dealer.

And now let's head on back to the studio.
And now lastly, with all the gloomy developments about our loss of privacy out of the way, I'd like to mention some positive news.
Our team at the Epoch Times recently launched an awesome, phenomenal magazine called American Essence.
Basically, if in the last few years, you happen to walk through a supermarket, an airport, a bookstore, and you took a glance at the magazine options that are currently available, well, then you've likely noticed that most of them are pretty hostile to traditional American values.
With many of them, they're actually deconstructing our society in one way or another.
But American Essence, it's, you can say, a different type of magazine.
It's a magazine for people who actually care about this country.
In fact, every single issue features stories of real salt of the earth men and women who embody, you can say, the essence of America.
It features stories of our founding fathers and the virtues that we can learn from them.
It features stories of American self-reliance, of people living out traditional values in the real modern world.
It features stories of families and the wisdom that's being passed on from one generation to the next.
The stories of American inventors, both from the past and from the present, whose ideas have allowed this country to become the beacon of innovation throughout the whole world.
And it also features things like traditional gardening tips, recipes, traditional art, history, fables for children, and a ton of other topics.
But the best thing is that each separate issue gives you a real sense of hope for the future, ironically, by looking into the past and by profiling the people who are living out traditional values from the past in the modern day.
Now, that's all to say it's an amazing magazine.
It feels like a modern version of something that would come out of the 1950s.
And if you'd like to check it out, well, I'll throw the link.
It'll be down in the description box below.
If you're interested, you can sign up and get it delivered directly to your home.
And then, until next time, I'm your host, Roman from the Epoch Times.
