We want to talk to you about churches getting involved in politics.
So how did you get into this and what was the point that triggered it?
So I pastor a church in Huntington Beach and we started in 2003 and one of my biggest passions are sanctity of life.
And so, when we see politicians, if you will, they want to hold an office, that's one of my first questions to them is, what is your view on the sanctity of life?
And if they're okay with killing babies, if they're okay with abortions, then I'd say, personally, I will not vote for that person.
And I make that clear in our church, that we should not be okay.
And I think that's a good test of A real Christian or a God-fearing person, if you really reverence God, then that would fear reverence.
If you reverence God, you're not going to be okay with killing children.
We should obey the government, but whenever the government steps over the line and they tell you to do something that's not biblical, then we obey God rather than government.
Are you afraid with your chairs and your people?
What if you get targeted?
You know what?
Many times people say, oh, you're so courageous, and you're so bold, and I really believe I'm just doing what I'm called to do, and that's up to God.
We're living in a day where the Bible talks about where good is called evil and evil is called good.
And I tell our congregation, it's like, who can combat that?
Who's able to combat this?
And who's able to discern what's right and wrong?
Well, my fact check is the Bible.
So, we look at our laws that are here in this country, they come from the Bible.
And so, when things are being called good, when they're actually evil, Now we have also today, the day we live, and we have a media that's not exposing any of this.
Okay?
So if they were really doing their job, the media was saying, hey, these are the facts, and they weren't one-sided, maybe we wouldn't have to be so vocal as pastors.
But we're living in a day that there's so much deception going on that we need a fact check, not the fact check that you see online.
But the Bible, and I tell our congregation that all the time.
Okay, so if it doesn't line up with this, then we're going to expose that.
