Leaked Fauci Financials Expose How He Profited From Pandemic, Invested in Chinese Companies
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Good evening.
After a group of organizations filed lawsuits in order to obtain Dr.
Fauci's financial records, a U.S. senator, he saved them the trouble by instead leaking them to the public himself.
We now have all the financial records in hand, and I can tell you exactly how much Dr.
Fauci made, how much he has, as well as how many Chinese firms he has invested in.
Meanwhile, just four days ago, The US Marine Corps became the first branch of the US military to grant religious exemptions to their vaccine mandate.
What that means is that after the US military received almost 10,000 religious accommodation requests, and after they rejected almost all of them, well, now they've accepted exactly two.
But the big question is why?
Why did they choose to change their tune and accept them now?
Well, let's go through that together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
And now let's begin today's discussion by talking about Dr.
Fauci's financials.
And to start with, let us play a quick game of trivia.
Who do you think is the highest-paid federal government employee in all of America?
Is it Joe Biden?
Is it Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts?
Is it General Mark Milley, who is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?
Or is it Dr.
Anthony Fauci?
Well, if you guessed D, then you would be correct.
Dr.
Anthony Fauci is in fact the highest paid federal government employee in all of America.
In fact, if you look on over at federalpay.org, which is a public resource for U.S. government employees, you will find that Dr.
Fauci is currently earning approximately $435,000 a year, at least according to the latest records, which go up until the year 2020.
And so think about that for a quick moment.
Dr. Fauci, who is the director of a sub-agency inside of another sub-agency under the Department of Health and Human Services, he makes more in compensation than the president, than any general in the U.S. military, and so on.
He makes more than even his own boss.
However, there's a lot more to this financial picture.
And so let's unpack it together.
And to start with, last week, during a rather heated exchange at a Senate hearing, Dr. Raj, Roger Marshall, who is both a medical doctor as well as a senator from Kansas, he asked Dr.
Fauci about fully disclosing his financial statements.
And here are the relevant parts of that exchange.
And please note I sped up the video a little bit in order for it to not be too long.
Take a look.
I don't understand why you're asking me that question.
My financial disclosure is public knowledge and has been so for the last 37 years or so, 35 years.
The big tech giants are doing an incredible job of keeping it from being public.
We'll continue to look for it.
Where would we find it?
All you have to do is ask for it.
You're so misinformed.
It's extraordinary.
My financial disclosures are public knowledge and have been so.
You are getting amazingly wrong information.
I cannot find them.
Our office cannot find them.
Where would they be at their public knowledge?
Where?
It is totally accessible to you if you want it.
For the public.
Is it accessible to the public?
And so for now, let's overlook the hot mic moment at the end.
The relevant part is that Dr.
Fauci said that his financials are already publicly available.
However, according to Mr.
Adam Engieski, who is the CEO of OpenTheBooks.com, which is a government transparency group, Well, he said that is not the case.
In fact, during an interview with the National Desk, here's specifically what Mr.
Thank you.
Fauci said that all of this is available, but we actually had to file a lawsuit for it.
However, it looks like we will not have to wait until February in order to get at least some of these documents.
That's because after that heated exchange, Senator Roger Marshall, he requested that the documents be handed over, and Dr.
Fauci complied.
He handed over the documents, and then subsequently, Senator Marshall released those documents online to the public.
And so these documents that he released, they cover the years of 2020 and 2019, and specifically, they pertain to the finances of both Dr.
Fauci as well as his wife.
And for your record, by the way, Dr.
Fauci's wife is named Christine Grady, and she is the chief of the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health, and she earns approximately $176,000 a year just by herself.
Let's go through these documents together.
And I'd like to highlight three specific things which I believe are the most important.
First of all, these documents show that altogether, the Fauci household has a combined net worth of just over $10 million.
Then second of all, while Dr.
Fauci has insisted that he has not profited from the pandemic, well, these papers reveal the fact that Dr.
Dr. Fauci, as well as his wife, they were paid approximately $14,000 to virtually attend a series of galas.
And these galas, just for your reference, they include an evening of hope, prepared for life, as well as the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope virtual gala.
Altogether, these virtual events netted the Fauci household about $14,000, all to attend virtually.
And then third of all, and much more relevant to the topic of potential conflicts of interest, is the fact that according to these documents, Dr.
Fauci invested in several Chinese companies which have deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
Now specifically, Dr.
Fauci invested in a fund called the Matthews Pacific Tiger Fund.
And according to this fact sheet here, which was published by Matthews in September of last year, they invest 42.7% of their investors' capital in companies based in Hong Kong and China.
And these investments, they include firms like Tencent Holdings, Alibaba Group Holdings, Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited, as well as Wu Xi Biologics Cayman.
For instance, Tencent, that's the company that owns the Chinese app called WeChat, which is regarded as such a national security threat that President Trump actually banned it from being accessed here in America.
And that ban, by the way, was only lifted when Joe Biden signed an executive order back in June and restored access to the app here.
And then likewise, Wuxi Biologics, which is a biopharmaceutical company, it has deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party as well.
In fact, our researchers here at the Epoch Times, they uncovered this article from 2021 that was published by a Chinese news portal called NetEase and found that Wuxi Biologics was among several other Chinese companies which signed a partnership deal with the municipal government of Wuxi in order to form what they called a Party Building Alliance.
Meaning a Chinese Communist Party building alliance.
And frankly, the same thing can be said about any of the Chinese companies on that list.
For instance, Alibaba, that's another example.
Just last year, they earmarked something like $15 billion to go to the Communist Party's internal equity program.
I mean, that is just the reality of doing big business in China.
And so these documents would show that Dr.
Fauci had investments in all these Chinese companies.
Well, in my opinion, at least, that sheds a slightly different light on that email thread that we learned about just two weeks ago between Dr.
Francis Collins and Dr.
Fauci, Where they were discussing quashing the conspiracy theory that the virus had leaked from a lab in order to maintain what they refer to as international harmony.
And so the big question is, did these investments in Chinese stocks influence their decision to discuss maintaining international harmony?
I think whether you think it matters or not, whether it is a true conflict of interest or not, I think we can all agree that as the public, we at least deserve the right to know what a public official like Dr.
Fauci is invested in, so that way we can make the determination for ourselves whether there's a conflict of interest or not.
And in fact, Senator Marshall, he's pushing for exactly that.
In fact, just a few days ago, he announced that he is planning to introduce the Financial Accountability for Unequally Compensated Individuals Act, otherwise known as the Fauci Act.
This act would require that the financial disclosure statements, which are filed by government employees like Dr.
Fauci, would need to be made available to the public as well.
And so we'll have to see whether this piece of legislation gets any traction once it's introduced to the Senate.
Until that happens, if you'd like to go through all these financial statements from Dr.
Fauci's household, including the ones from his wife, I'll throw a link to all of them into the description box below this video for you to check out, and I'll ask in return as you take a quick moment to smash, smash, smash that like button for the use of algorithm.
Now, before we move on over and discuss how the U.S. military has just granted their first religious exemptions to the vaccine, I'd like to take a quick moment and introduce our sponsor for today's episode, and I will do so from the sound booth.
That's right, Roman.
The sponsor of today's episode is an awesome company called American Hartford Gold.
As I'm sure you're aware, the rate of inflation right now in this country is accelerating like crazy.
I mean, everything from the cost of lumber, cars, houses, food, gas...
Everything is increasing at an accelerated pace.
However, in my opinion, what the most amazing aspect of the system is, is that you can take this money, which I actually think is as fake as monopoly money because the Fed and the Treasury just print this out of nothing, and you can use it to buy real money from American Hartford Gold, which is gold and silver coinage.
Take a look.
This is a box that I get every single month from American Hartford Gold sent to me because I believe it's a great hedge against inflation.
This is something that has had value for 5,000 years, It's had value across the world, in Russia, China, America, India.
I mean, this is the real stuff right here.
This is a beautiful, actually, Canadian maple.
And this right here is some silver coinage.
I don't know if you can see how shiny and beautiful it is.
Yeah, but I just get these every single month because I believe that, unfortunately, the US dollar will eventually fall as the global reserve currency, as sad as that is.
And I just want to hedge against those people in Washington, D.C., continuously printing our prosperity into oblivion.
I would highly recommend that you do the same.
Go on over to the website for American Heart for Gold and consider doing business with them.
They're an awesome company.
They sponsor a program like ours, so they obviously care about the truth getting out there, but they also have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
They have a great customer support staff when you call them.
They're super friendly, and they make the entire process super simple because not only can you get these packages here delivered directly to your doorstep, but you can call them up and set it up so that you can actually get Gold and silver directly deposited into your IRA account.
Again, making it all super simple.
And right now they're offering a special to viewers of Facts Matter where depending on how much you buy, how much gold and silver you buy, they will throw in $1,500 worth of free silver on your first order.
So give them a call at 866-242-2352 or text Roman to 65532.
Also, I'll throw a link to their website down in the description box below.
And American Heart for Gold, thank you so much for sponsoring this episode.
Now Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now let's move on over and talk about religious exemptions.
Four days ago, the US Marine Corps became the first branch of the US military to grant religious exemptions to their vaccine mandate.
Specifically, what happened was that on Thursday, the US Marine Corps released a statement saying that they have just granted two requests for religious accommodation from their vaccine mandate.
Now, let me take a step back for a quick moment and set the full stage for you just to highlight how significant of an event this actually is.
Back in August of 2021, Mr.
Lloyd Austin, who is the Biden administration's Secretary of Defense, he announced that a vaccine mandate was going to go into effect across the entire military.
And then each individual branch of the military set up their own specific deadlines.
However, each of those branches, they also offered their service members the option to submit a religious accommodation request, meaning that if a service member had a religious objection to the vaccine, they could submit a request to be exempted.
However, over the course of the last five months, it became evident that the U.S. military was not taking these religious accommodations seriously.
And how do we know this?
Well, for starters, even though over 10,000 requests were actually submitted across all branches, not a single request was accepted.
And then furthermore, according to the service members themselves, the rejection letters that they were given were actually identical, meaning that even though each religious accommodation request had to be evaluated independently, individually, based on its own individual merits, Well, it appears that the U.S. military was instead just rubber stamping them one by one, sending out denial after denial.
In fact, by last month, which is December, within just the U.S. Marine Corps alone, they had received over 3,350 religious exemption applications, of which 3,200 of them were denied, which is approximately 96%.
And so you might be asking yourself, why then, all of a sudden, did the U.S. Marine Corps decide to change their tune last week and actually accept two religious accommodation requests?
Well, the answers to that question could have something to do with the fact that two weeks ago, a federal judge blocked the vaccine mandate for several U.S. Navy SEALs, and in his order, this is what the federal judge said regarding the way that the U.S. government was handling these religious accommodation requests within the U.S. military.
The record overwhelmingly demonstrates that the Navy's religious accommodation process is an exercise in futility.
Now, while that judge's ruling did not directly apply to the U.S. Marine Corps, a lawyer that we here at the Epoch Times spoke with, he suggested that it triggered the military to begin accepting religious accommodations.
Here's specifically what this lawyer told us.
I think the Marines saw the opinion, saw them get just completely ripped a new one, admonished, reprimanded judiciously, and they saw that, now they're reacting to it.
They're trying to correct it after the fact.
They're basically a bank robber who robbed the bank, trying to return the money.
I'm not a bank robber, I'm just borrowing money.
It's laughable.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we also reached out to the U.S. Marine Corps for comment on these religious accommodations, and one of their spokespeople got back to us, and he said that they can't share the details of the approved exemptions because they are, quote, Now, what's worth noting here is that these two religious exemptions are the first which have been granted throughout the entire U.S. military.
And for your reference, there have been approximately 10,000 requests in total.
And in terms of how these requests actually break down by branch, well, after putting all the publicly available data together, here's what we were able to find.
The U.S. Army received about 2,100 religious exemption requests, of which they have not approved any.
The US Air Force, they have received about 4,458 requests, of which over 2,300 have been rejected, and 2,158 are still pending.
And then in terms of the US Navy, if you don't include the Marine Corps, they have received over 3,700 religious accommodation requests and approved exactly zero of them.
And then lastly, the US Marine Corps itself, as we mentioned earlier, they have received 3,350 requests, rejected over 3,200 of them, and now approved just two.
The rest are still pending.
Now, the big question is this.
Why exactly did those two requests get granted while the other almost 10,000 requests didn't?
I mean, what kind of religious arguments did those two service members make that the others didn't?
Well, of course, as of right now, it's unclear since we don't have any information about them and they are being held for confidentiality.
However, military authorities, they have come out and defended the lack of approvals.
For instance, here's what a U.S. Air Force commander said during a town hall just last week.
We understand it's weighing on your minds and we are working through these as expeditiously as we can to make sure we're looking at each one of them on a case-by-case basis so that we are following and giving you due process as we go through that review.
Furthermore, it is also worth noting that it's not smooth sailing for the troops who have either been granted a religious exemption or are still waiting for a decision.
That's because in terms of those who have been granted a religious exemption, well, according to court records, they will be deemed non-deployable unless they also receive a medical exemption.
Meaning, essentially, that they can remain in the military, but they can't be deployed.
And then in terms of those who are still awaiting a decision, well, there have been reports of them facing repercussions, such as one case where a U.S. Navy SEAL was barred from traveling even though he needed to receive a treatment for a traumatic brain injury that he received on a previous deployment.
Now, just for your reference, by the way, the only branch outside of the purview of the Department of Defense is the U.S. Coast Guard, and even though we did reach out to them for comment, they did not get back to us, and so that's why we do not have any information regarding them.
Regardless, though, if you'd like to read more about the religious accommodation requests which have been denied throughout the entire U.S. military, or about these two which have just been accepted in the U.S. Marine Corps, I'll throw the links and several articles into the description box below this video for you to check out, and all I ask in return is that you take a super quick moment to smash, smash, smash that like button for the YouTube algorithm.
And now, since you've completed this episode of Facts Matter, I would highly recommend that you go on over to Epic TV and check out an awesome episode of Cash's Corner, where Cash Patel examines the future of American involvement in Afghanistan.
Here's a trailer for that awesome episode.
When they issue these sanctions, they ran against Americans, and death orders, kill orders against these folks.
In light of that, we're going to continue to engage diplomatically with Iran.
I just think this is political theater when it comes to national security.
The people that are now leading the Taliban are five individuals that used to be Guantanamo Bay.
Known terrorists.
That we let out.
I am of the opinion that we will find our conventional military back in Afghanistan inside 18 months.
If you want to check out that full episode, as well as all the other phenomenal content over on Epic TV, I'll throw a link to it.
