Bank Testing Segregation Program; 14 Kids Given Wrong Dosage; FDA Approves Boosters | Facts Matter

	Good evening.
	Over in California, it was just revealed that 14 children between the ages of 5 and 11 years old, they were injected with the wrong dosage of the COVID vaccine.
	Meanwhile, earlier today, the FDA has effectively sidestepped their own vaccine advisory committee, and they approved both the Pfizer and Moderna booster shots for all adults.
	And as a response, some states are already beginning to change the definition of the term fully vaccinated to mean having gotten three shots.
	And lastly, according to an inside source, Bank of America is testing a new pilot program wherein they are segregating their unvaccinated employees from their vaccinated employees.
	They are essentially creating a separate facility that will be monitored so that people do not commingle.
	Let's go through it all together.
	This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
	And now let's begin today's discussion over in California.
	Three days ago, health officials admitted that they gave the wrong dosage of the COVID vaccine to 14 children over at a clinic in Antioch, California.
	Specifically...
	A pediatric clinic called Sutter Health, which is located over in Antioch, California, that's a city sort of in the middle of the state, they admitted to giving 14 children the wrong dosage of the COVID vaccine.
	Here's specifically what Dr.
	Jimmy Hu, who is the chairman of the local COVID task force in that city, here's what he said in the statement.
	This weekend, 14 patients at our Antioch pediatric vaccine clinic received vaccines with an incorrect amount of dilutin.
	As soon as we learned of this, we contacted the parents and advised them of the CDC guidance in this situation.
	He further added that these children might experience some adverse reactions from the incorrect dosage.
	Here's what he said on this front.
	According to the CDC, patients who receive vaccine with an incorrect dilutant volume may experience arm soreness, fatigue, headache, or a fever in response to the dose given.
	Furthermore, according to the officials at this particular health facility, these children, who were between the ages of 5 to 11 years old, they received a dose of the vaccine which was two times greater than the one that they were supposed to.
	And speaking with a local NBC affiliate, an infectious disease expert over in California, a man by the name of Dr.
	Peter Hong, he explained what likely happened at this healthcare facility.
	Here's what he said.
	Although that is an educated guess from that particular expert, given the fact that health officials did not give the official statement as to what actually happened.
	Furthermore, this health center, they claimed that they are reviewing their processes in order to make sure that this type of thing does not happen again.
	Here's again what the chairman of Sutter Health said in the statement.
	The safety of our patients is our top priority, and we immediately review our processes to help make sure this doesn't happen again.
	Now, it does seem like, from all the statements given in this particular incident, that this was an honest accident over in California.
	However, this particular story, it reminded me of something else, and so I dug into it a little bit deeper.
	And that is the oddly recurring theme of stories wherein a young child goes in to get a flu shot and then accidentally is injected with the COVID vaccine instead.
	For instance, this just happened over in Boston, where a four-year-old child went in to get a flu shot and was instead injected with the COVID vaccine.
	Here's in fact how this boy's mother described what happened to a local news station over in Boston.
	I couldn't believe that happened.
	I didn't think it was real.
	I was concerned for Jack.
	He got a shot in his left arm and the pharmacy tech said instantly, Oh my God, oh my God.
	And I said, what?
	And she said, I just gave him the COVID vaccine.
	Now again, this just happened yesterday, and after this incident occurred, the people at this particular pharmacy, they apologized profusely.
	They said that they're going to be reviewing their safety protocols, and then the corporate level of this pharmacy, they released a statement saying this.
	We are investigating a vaccine administration error at our pharmacy, but we cannot comment on a specific patient without signed authorization.
	So again, this happened just yesterday, but it is not necessarily an isolated incident, since stories like this, with this exact same theme, are popping up across the country.
	For instance, less than a month ago, two young boys over in Louisville, Kentucky, they likewise went into their local CVS in order to get a flu shot, but they were instead injected with the COVID vaccine.
	And then similarly, in that very same week, a woman down in El Paso, Texas, she likewise went into her local pharmacy to get a flu shot, but she was again instead injected with the COVID vaccine.
	Here's in fact what that particular woman down in Texas had to say.
	The pharmacist didn't ask my name, my birth date, or what I was there for.
	And she poked my arm and said, oh no, I gave you the COVID shot and I was there for the flu shot.
	I had no idea anything like this would happen.
	Then there was another incident over in Maryland, again just a few weeks ago, where a pharmacist injected a four-year-old girl with the COVID vaccine, even though that girl came in for a flu shot.
	Likewise, also about a month ago in the state of Indiana, two parents, a mother and a father, as well as their two young children, they all went into a local pharmacy in order to get the flu shot.
	But instead, all four of them, the mother, the father, and their two young kids, they were all injected with the COVID vaccine instead, And then they actually had to deal with some adverse symptoms.
	Here's in fact what the parents in the situation, here's what they said happened when they got home from the pharmacy.
	"After we got home, they called us and told us that they had made a mistake and had given us the wrong shot.
	I was just in shock.
	All I could say to them was, 'What does this mean for my kids?'" She further added that her four-year-old son, he was already starting to feel sick in the car even before they got home from the pharmacy.
	And because the symptoms actually continued to worsen, they had to take both of their kids to a cardiologist.
	Here's in fact what the parents said through their lawyer.
	The children have experienced a number of adverse effects since receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
	Fever, body aches, cough, headaches, and nausea are among the symptoms the children are experiencing.
	The four- and five-year-old are also under treatment of a pediatric cardiologist for tachycardia and elevated blood pressure, respectively.
	Then after several days, the parents said that the four-year-old son got better, but the condition of their five-year-old daughter actually worsened.
	Here's what they said.
	Her blood pressure is in the 98th percentile, and she continues to have no energy.
	Furthermore, the parents themselves, this mother and father, they said that they continue to slowly recover from the symptoms that set in shortly after they received the shot, including high blood pressure, fevers, chest pain, as well as headaches.
	Here's in fact what the father said on this front.
	It's been well over a week, and I still have high blood pressure and chest pain.
	The father stated that he continues to be monitored by his doctor for both blood pressure as well as chest pains.
	And again, these are just several stories that I've been coming across over the last few months with the same theme.
	People come in for a flu shot, and instead, they are given the COVID vaccine.
	Now, in every one of these cases, at least according to the official statements that were given by the pharmacies, it appears that these were all honest mistakes.
	And given, frankly, how many millions of vaccines have been administered throughout the country, these supposed mistakes, they do encompass a very small percentage.
	However, I do believe that they are worth highlighting, and I would suggest to you that if you go on over to a pharmacy, just consider double-checking with your pharmacist to make sure that what you're getting injected with is what you actually came in for.

	And now let's move on over and talk about booster shots.
	And to start with, I would like to show you two headlines, side by side, from a publication called The Independent.
	And these two headlines, by the way, they were published about two weeks apart from one another.
	So the first headline, which was published on November the 4th, it says this.
	Fact check.
	DeSantis falsely claims vaccinated citizens without boosters could be declared unvaccinated and lose their jobs.
	However, just two weeks after that headline, the Independent published this headline.
	Fauci suggests boosters may be required to be considered fully vaccinated.
	And then you wonder why people are no longer trusting the news.
	And what Dr.
	Fauci said, by the way, that's quoted in that article, is actually coming closer and closer to becoming a reality.
	That's because just earlier today, the FDA came out and they officially authorized both the Moderna and Pfizer booster shots for all adults.
	And just for your reference, before today, the Pfizer booster shots were only authorized for a certain subset of individuals, for the elderly as well as for those with underlying health conditions.
	However, as of today, they are now available for everyone.
	And only time will tell whether they will go from being available to being mandatory.
	Regardless, here's what Dr.
	Peter Marks, who is the director of the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, here's what he said in a statement: "The FDA has determined that the currently available data support expanding the eligibility of a single booster dose of the Moderna and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines to individuals 18 years of age and older." here's what he said in a statement: "The FDA has And what's really interesting, at least to me, is that when you look at the data that supports this FDA's decision, it's amazing how small of a sample size they were actually
	For instance, in the case of Moderna, the FDA was analyzing how 149 participants from the original clinical studies, how they reacted after being given a third dose.
	149 people.
	And then in the case of Pfizer, the FDA analyzed the immune system response of about 200 people who likewise got a booster shot on top of their original two doses.
	Just a little over 200.
	Now, I'm not saying that the research is incorrect.
	In fact, there have been many studies that have been pointing to the same conclusion.
	However, I think it's just worth noting that the FDA just authorized the booster shot for tens of millions of people across the country after analyzing the response in less than 400 people.
	Regardless, based on the research that the FDA did analyze, they found that the people who got a booster shot had higher antibody levels than those who did not.
	Now, you might be seeing this news and you might have a question.
	You might ask yourself, wait a minute, Roman, wasn't it just last month that certain health officials were trying to get these boosters approved, but the FDA actually voted against the idea?
	And in that case, you would actually be somewhat correct.
	Because what happened was that last month, Pfizer, Moderna, as well as several health officials, they were trying to get the booster shots approved for all eligible adults.
	However, they were effectively blocked by the FDA's own Vaccine Advisory Panel, which is a group of experts on the topic of vaccines.
	And this group, they got together, they deliberated on the issue, and then they voted against rolling out boosters to everyone in the country.
	That was about a month ago.
	However, as I just mentioned, earlier today, the FDA as a whole, they decided to sidestep this vaccine advisory panel, and they made booster shots available to anyone who is over the age of 18.
	Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we actually reached out to the FDA for comment, and we asked them specifically why they are going against the recommendation of their own vaccine advisory panel.
	And here's what they emailed to us back in a statement.
	The FDA does not plan to hold a meeting of the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee on Pfizer's request to amend their emergency use authorization, We have concluded that it does not raise questions that would benefit from additional discussion by the members of the committee.
	Now, that is a very, very interesting statement from the FDA. Basically, they told us that Pfizer's new request to have their booster shots approved for all adults, it would not benefit from additional discussion by the members of this committee.
	The same committee that on a previous occasion discussed this matter and voted against the approval.
	Now, this likely means one of two things happened.
	Either the data that Pfizer provided as a part of their new application was the same data as before, and the FDA just wanted to sidestep the committee and give the approval, or the data that Pfizer submitted was different than the data that they submitted before, and the FDA still wanted to sidestep the committee and get the booster approved.
	Either way, the result turned out to be the same.
	Although we here at the Epoch Times, we actually got a chance to speak with Dr.
	Paul Offit, who actually sits on the advisory panel himself, and he said this to us in an email.
	I think it would have been of value for the public to hear an open discussion about the need for boosters.
	I wish we had had the chance to discuss this.
	Regardless though, the booster charts are now approved for all eligible adults, And according to a statement that was made by Dr.
	Fauci earlier this week, he said that it is these booster shots that will help to bring COVID from the level of a pandemic down to the level of an endemic.
	Here's what he said in the statement.
	Look what other countries are doing now about adopting a booster campaign virtually for everybody.
	I think if we do that, and we do it in earnest, I think by the spring we can have pretty good control of this.
	And along that line, there are more and more states across the country who are telling their residents to get the booster shot six months after their initial vaccine treatment.
	And some states, they are actually taking it a step further.
	For instance, the governor of New Mexico, she went beyond just endorsing the booster shots and instead, she said that in her opinion, being fully vaccinated now means that a person should have three shots.
	Specifically, during a virtual COVID meeting, Ms.
	Michelle Grisham, who is the governor of New Mexico, she said that the definition of fully vaccinated being changed to mean three shots, that would actually alleviate concerns about the vaccines losing their effectiveness after six months.
	Here's specifically what she said during that virtual meeting.
	We know vaccinations are the most effective tool to both blunting the spread of the virus and to protecting ourselves and our families.
	So we are analyzing what we can do to create those incentives and potentially mandates for making sure that people are fully vaccinated, which means three vaccines.
	Now notice what she said in that statement, potential mandates for a three-dose treatment.
	And by the way, it's not just in New Mexico either, because the administrations in the states of Arkansas, California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, as well as West Virginia, they are likewise pushing for these booster shots as well.
	Which actually brings us back full circle to those two headlines from the Independent that we looked at at the beginning of this segment, in which they claimed that Governor Ron DeSantis was actually false when he said that we are on a slippery slope to having vaccinated people who have gotten two doses once again being considered unvaccinated, And to be frank with you, if you follow the news cycle as closely as I do, it's rather amazing to see that what's considered a conspiracy theory just yesterday is quite literally front-page news on mainstream media today.

	And now, since we're on the topic of discussing things that were once considered conspiracy theories coming true, let's move on over and discuss how Bank of America is testing a pilot program for separating their vaccinated employees from their unvaccinated employees.
	According to a source who spoke with us under the condition of anonymity, he revealed that Bank of America is testing a pilot program to separate their vaccinated employees from their unvaccinated employees over at their administrative building in Jacksonville, Florida.
	Now, the source that we spoke with works at a Bank of America, but he did speak to us under the condition of anonymity since he feared losing his job.
	Although we actually did reach out to Bank of America at the corporate level, and they did corroborate part of a story, and I'll read that statement in a bit.
	However, what this employee told us was that the segregation plan was initiated in order to help bring employees back into the office who were working remotely.
	However, he said that after this plan came to light...
	Well, this particular employee, he was extremely worried about how it casts a very dark shadow on the potential future that our society is heading towards.
	Here's specifically what he told us.
	The unvaccinated will be stripped of their access and given access only to one floor, with offices and a restroom, but they can't go anywhere else.
	Essentially, they're discriminating.
	It's segregation and blown away.
	Now, amidst the national debate over vaccine mandates for private businesses, it is worth noting that Bank of America has not instituted a vaccine mandate for their workers.
	However, as that source mentioned, the employees who have either not disclosed their vaccination status or who have revealed themselves to be unvaccinated, they can only return to work on a separate floor.
	You might say it's a separate but equal floor.
	And in fact, according to that inside source, he said that the access points for the unvaccinated areas, they will be monitored in order to, quote, make sure they are kept in containment.
	The source then went on to say that he has extreme qualms about what is happening, and he said this, But I can't partake in this.
	I'm not quiet, and I don't keep my mouth shut.
	I'm not going to partake in this program they are rolling out.
	Now, what is interesting to note is that if you go on over to the Bank of America official website, on there, they describe themselves as having a, quote, diverse and inclusive workplace.
	And then specifically, on that same webpage, in regards to what that actually means, here's what they say.
	We firmly believe all employees should be treated with respect, live free of discrimination, and be able to bring their whole selves to work.
	This is the core to who we are as a company and how we drive responsible businesses.
	However, with this new segregation pilot program that they are rolling out, the employee who we spoke with, he said that in regards to their own mission statement, they are just being hypocritical.
	Here's specifically what he said.
	So you're inclusive of all people, but not the unvaccinated?
	No, you are just blatantly hypocritical.
	Now, we're here at the Epoch Times.
	We did reach out to Bank of America for both confirmation of this program as well as a comment on it generally.
	And they got back to us saying that they are relying on CDC guidance.
	They are prioritizing people who are vaccinated in terms of people getting back to the office.
	And then they wrote this.
	The company is now taking the next step forward and beginning to return a limited number of teammates who have either not disclosed their status or are unvaccinated.
	These teammates will work in an environment where our health and safety protocols are aligned to the latest guidance from the CDC and other medical experts.
	They will be required to use face coverings at all times, maintain physical distancing and test weekly.
	The spokesperson who got back to us, they also said that with the pandemic still underway, there are going to be added measures that the company must take on behalf of its employees in order to ensure their safety.
	Although they did not say whether that includes separate but equal facilities, but they also didn't deny it.
