‘Ample Scientific Data’ has 11 Lawmakers Introduce ‘Natural Immunity Is Real' Act | Facts Matter
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Good evening.
Over in Kentucky, a high school principal, who also happens to be the mayor of the city, he was photographed getting a lap dance from male students during a school event that was called the Man Pageant.
And oddly enough, these photos were not somehow leaked to the press.
They were instead proudly posted on Facebook.
Meanwhile, as vaccine mandates are being rolled out across the entire country, 11 lawmakers have just introduced a new bill called the Natural Immunity is Real Act, which will force the federal government to acknowledge natural immunity to COVID and allow those with natural antibodies to opt out of getting the shot.
Meanwhile, over in Louisiana, a mother of a 16-year-old boy is considering suing her school district after a mobile vaccination ban rolled through the school and vaccinated her son without her permission.
And then lastly, as record numbers of illegal immigrants are crossing into the U.S. via the southern border, the Biden administration's Secretary of Homeland Security, he just issued a new memo.
And this new memo, it directs ICE agents across the entire country to not arrest illegal aliens in multiple locations that he refers to as protected areas.
Let's go through it all together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
And now let's begin today's discussion by talking about natural immunity, which some people say actually exists.
In fact, last week, a group of 11 lawmakers introduced a new piece of legislation to the House called the Natural Immunity is Real Act.
And this bill, if it actually becomes law...
It will require federal agencies across the entire country to quote, meaning in plain English that it will force the federal government to acknowledge that natural immunity to COVID exists And that those who have the natural antibodies to the virus can opt out of getting the shot.
Now, to give you some background on this new piece of legislation, over the past, let's say year or so, there have been multiple studies which indicate that natural immunity for COVID, meaning that a person had the infection and then recovered, It's either as strong or perhaps even stronger than the protection that's offered by the vaccines.
Now one obvious example is the very large-scale study that came out of Israel.
We discussed that in depth in a previous episode.
And that particular study, it found that natural immunity, it offered as much as 13 times the level of protection that the vaccines do, specifically when you look at the data over a long period of time.
However, even though that is the case, right now the federal government is recommending that everybody be vaccinated, including people who have already recovered from COVID. Their argument, currently at least, is that the protection that you already have from the natural antibodies only gets better after getting the shot.
On the other hand, though, there are many people across the entire country who have already recovered from COVID and they do not want to get the shot, and furthermore, they even feel like they are being unnecessarily coerced by the government.
And this is where this new bill comes in.
That's because, according to Ms.
Diana Harshberger, who is a congresswoman from Tennessee, she's a Republican and she's one of the lead sponsors of this bill, she says that there is plenty of evidence supporting the government allowing for natural immunity exemptions.
Here's what she said during a recent interview on NTD News.
There is ample scientific studies that show that natural immunity is absolutely one of the best things you could have, and some studies even show that it's more effective than vaccination.
Then, going deeper into the subject during that interview, Ms.
Harshberger, who by the way has also been a licensed pharmacist since 1987, She said this in regards to the data that she's been combing through.
I've read some of the studies that show that natural immunity, in a lot of ways, can be more effective.
And I know there is one study that shows that the percentage of protection is even better than two doses of the vaccine in some cases.
There is ample scientific data out there that show that.
Think about it.
We have immunity against measles and smallpox and they accept that.
Why won't they do it for COVID? And so, as a solution to that problem, this newly proposed bill that they just introduced into the House, it will require all federal agencies to acknowledge, accept, as well as to agree to respect natural immunity when they are formulating any of the rules.
And by the way, this piece of legislation comes at basically the 11th hour, because as you're likely already aware, the Biden administration is currently working to finalize a set of regulations which will force all private companies in this country that have over 100 employees to mandate that their workers get vaccinated.
And as of this moment, the rule that they're working on does not have any opt-out exemption for people with natural immunity.
However, if this bill actually passes, then there will be such an exemption.
Furthermore, I also wanted to note that this bill that's in the House actually has a companion bill that has already been introduced to the Senate.
That Senate bill, by the way, is numbered 2846 in case you want to track it.
And so, both bills are concurrently working their ways through their respective chambers, and we will just have to wait and see how they progress.
If you want to read more about this Natural Immunity is Real Act, or the comparable Senate bill that's working its way through that chamber, I'll throw both links into the description box below this video for you to check out.
And I would also like to mention that not only is natural immunity real, but that like button is real as well.
And when you smash it, It forces the YouTube algorithm to share this video out to thousands of more people, giving those people honest news and inoculating them from false narratives.
And now let's move on over and talk about ICE. Just yesterday, Mr.
Alejandro Mayorkas, who is the Biden administration secretary of Homeland Security, he ordered immigration officers here in America, meaning ICE agents here in the States, to not arrest illegal immigrants at a number of places, including at food banks as well as at shelters.
Now, to give you a bit of background on this issue, since Joe Biden took office back in January, we have seen an unprecedented wave of illegal immigration into America, with pretty much every single month there being a new record set at the U.S. southern border.
And at the same time that millions of illegal immigrants are crossing the southern border into America, deportations back to their home countries have dropped to record lows.
Now, it has been the case that for some time now at least, there were certain sensitive locations that were recognized by ICE agents that they wouldn't arrest people at.
These were places like churches, hospitals, as well as schools.
And so generally, ICE would not conduct raids in those places.
However, as we just mentioned a moment ago, the Department of Homeland Security just issued a new memo just yesterday which added a host of new protected areas, that's what they're being referred to in the memo, where ICE can no longer operate, including at homeless shelters, as well as anywhere that disaster or emergency relief is being provided as well as places where children gather, like playgrounds, childcare centers, or...
Here's how the Secretary of Homeland Security explained his rationale.
When we conduct an enforcement action, whether it is an arrest, search, service of a subpoena, or other action, we need to consider many factors, including the location in which we are conducting the action and its impact on other people and broader societal interests.
For example, if we take an action at an emergency shelter, it is possible that non-citizens, including children, will be hesitant to visit the shelter and receive needed food and water, urgent medical attention, or other humanitarian care.
Now, although this new rule sounds relatively humanitarian, critics of it are questioning whether the agency has taken into account the effect that this new rule will have on places like emergency shelters.
Because, for instance, if their thinking is that they want to encourage more children to use emergency shelters, And so they make those shelters effectively sanctuaries.
Well, then very likely, what might happen is that criminals who are being chased by ICE, they will begin to hang out at those places, since they know that they cannot get arrested there.
And over time, more and more criminals might go there to hang out.
Although whether or not that will actually happen, I guess only time will tell.
Regardless, if you have been following the recent developments in regards to the Department of Homeland Security over the past year or so, then you know that this expansion of what they're calling protected areas actually comes on the heels of other similar rules that they have been implementing over the past year, such as limiting which illegal immigrants can actually be pursued by officers, as well as narrowing or sometimes such as limiting which illegal immigrants can actually be pursued by officers, as well as narrowing or sometimes outright blocking enforcement actions around,
And it's these types of actions which have critics saying that the Department of Homeland Security leadership is essentially kneecapping their agency and not letting their ICE agents do their job.
For instance, here's what Dan Stein, who is the president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, here's what he said in a statement.
The agency still exists, but it has been stripped of all of its functions with regard to the enforcement of immigration laws.
Nearly all illegal aliens are already off limits to enforcement due to a September 30th memo, and as a result of Mayorkas' expanded and non-exhaustive list of protected areas where ICE agents are permitted to do their work, the secretary has essentially nullified an entire body of constitutionally enacted laws.
Likewise, according to our reporter, who is currently down at the southern border, it's exactly policies like this, as well as the flood of illegal aliens crossing into this country, that has the morale of Border Patrol agents at an all-time low.
And furthermore, according to the former acting director of ICE, Mr.
Tom Homan, who served under President Trump, he suggested that what is happening is not an accident, but rather, he says that it's being done by design.
Here's what he said during an interview on Fox News just two days ago.
The Trump administration had illegal immigration down 81%.
The most secure border in my entire career of 35 years.
Most secure border in my lifetime.
And we have a president that came in, within days, unsecured the border, and we got a Secretary of Homeland Security that's helping him do that.
It's unbelievable what they have done.
He intentionally unsecured the border.
Furthermore, during that same interview, when they were discussing the recent footage that came out Showing the caravan of migrants overwhelming the Mexican security forces, Mr.
Homan said this.
If you look at the video, the Mexican government is assisting these caravans to get to the U.S. border.
Under President Trump, Mexican government had military on the southern border, military on the northern border.
They helped to secure the border.
Matter of fact, the Mexican government helped more to secure the border than a Democrat-led Congress did.
This has been a complete 180 turnaround, and it's by design.
It's not incompetence.
It's not mismanagement.
This is what they want.
And this is why they haven't done one thing, not one thing, to slow the flow.
If you'd like to read more about what's happening over at the US southern border, including this new policy directive from the current Secretary of Homeland Security, I'll throw all that into the description box below this video for you to check out.
And again, all I ask in return is that if you haven't already, take a quick moment to smash that like button for the YouTube algorithm.
And now, before we move on over and discuss how a high school principal over in Kentucky was photographed getting a lab dance from male students during a school function, I would like to take a quick moment and introduce today's sponsor, and I'll do so from the sound booth.
That's right, Roman.
The sponsor of today's episode is an awesome company called My Patriot Supply.
So I don't know about you, but I have friends who all they have is this saved up in case of an emergency.
And don't get me wrong, I love toilet paper as much as the next guy, and it's better to have it than to not.
But frankly, if that's all you have saved up in case of an emergency, Then you are really not prepared because, listen, with these supply chains stretched to the extreme as they are, with inflation raging, and with the government even admitting that it might default on its loan obligations, I mean, a disaster looks like it might be coming.
In my opinion, it's a question of when, not if.
And so I would highly recommend that you prepare.
In my own house, I have cupboards, I have an entire closet that's filled with food, ready to go in case anything goes down.
And so if you don't have food prepared, I would highly recommend that you go on over to preparewithfactsmatter.com, that's the website that they've prepared for us, and buy food from MyPatriotSupply.
They have sold food to millions of Americans, and right now you can save $100 off of their three-month emergency food kit, which gives you a plentiful supply of breakfast, lunches, dinners, drinks, and snacks for a three-month period per person.
Again, this is something that you absolutely need.
And when you head on over to their website, you'll see they don't only sell food.
They sell pretty much everything you need to survive a disaster.
Air and water purifiers, survival gear, camping gear...
Pretty much everything you need.
So as they say, don't be caught standing in a government food line when the disaster hits.
Go on over to preparewithfactsmatter.com and save $100 off that three-month food kit.
They're going to send it to your door quickly and discreetly.
Now, Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now let's move on over to Kentucky.
Do you remember back in the day when high school was about learning math, science, English, and maybe a little bit of history?
And then occasionally you would have some kind of a talent show where people would sing and dance?
Well, technically you still have that.
However, since right now it's the year 2021, things have gotten a little weird.
How weird?
Well, the mayor of Hazard, Kentucky, who also happens to be the principal of the Hazard High School, he was photographed receiving a lab dance from a scantily clad male high school student during something that the school called a man pageant.
Let me just repeat that.
At something called the Man Pageant at the Hazard High School Assembly, the principal of the school, who also happens to be the mayor of the whole city, he was photographed getting a lap dance from a nearly naked high school boy.
And you want to know the kicker?
These photographs, they were not uncovered in some sort of secret investigation.
Instead, the school themselves shared those photos on their Facebook page, almost as if they didn't think anything was weird about them.
And when you look at the photos themselves, well, it wasn't only the principal that was getting this type of treatment, but other staff members in the school were likewise getting some type of lap dance from these male students.
Now, to give you a bit of context for what was exactly happening there, this was actually part of the school's homecoming week, and according to a schedule of the homecoming activities that they posted over on Facebook, they had both a costume day as well as a man pageant, That was scheduled for Tuesday.
And so in that auditorium, you had female students who had on Hooters uniforms, and they were walking around with mugs that looked like they were filled with beer, while on the other hand, you had those boys who were dancing on teachers laps while wearing women's lingerie.
And some of the students were allegedly even paddled at this event.
Now, to be totally frank with you, I can actually imagine something like this being done at my high school as well.
Although as a prank.
Students might have done that just to mess with the teachers, but if that were to happen when I went to high school, very likely the teachers would have shut off the music and then reprimanded and likely suspended all the students involved.
However, as you saw in those photos, that is not what happened here.
And naturally enough, this has led many of the parents in the school district to be very upset.
For instance, Ms.
Nema Brewer, who is actually a co-founder of the public education group KY120 United, she says that it's exactly this kind of stuff that's really bad, especially given the fact that public education is right now under the microscope by many parents across the entire country.
Here's what she told a local news outlet.
Now, yesterday, local media outlets were reaching out to the principal of the school.
However, he told them that all these questions regarding this incident should be directed towards the superintendent of the district.
And so, here's a statement from that superintendent.
And as you know, anything under investigation, I really can't talk about.
Once the investigation is complete, appropriate action will be taken.
Although, later, she actually followed up with a second statement, seemingly dismissing this as a lighthearted, fun school activity that might have gone a little too far.
Here's what she said.
But unfortunately, this time it was carried too far.
In today's society, students must understand that anything posted online is permanent.
We have a dress code that is to be followed at all times.
In the future, we will strive to keep the lighthearted, fun nature of school activities without the inappropriate behavior.
Although, frankly, it seems like most people are complaining about the sexualized nature of those activities rather than only what those kids were wearing.
Regardless, if you'd like to read more about what happened over at this Kentucky high school, I'll throw a link into the description box to an article where you can read more.
However, I'd also like to note that the concerns that parents across the country are raising, that their kids are getting more and more exposed to sexualized environments, sexualized content, Let me just repeat that.
An elementary school class over in Broward County, they were taken to a local gay bar on a school field trip.
In fact, one of the school board members, she was a chaperone on this trip, and here's what she wrote about it in a post on Twitter.
I was so honored to be invited to Chaperone.
The students and I had a fun walkover, and I learned a lot about our community.
She also mentioned that this was actually an annual trip for children that's hosted by a local gay bar called Rosie's.
Now, the photos of the event that she shared shows about 18 schoolchildren, who all appear to be under the age of 10, wearing masks as well as matching t-shirts outside of Rosie's.
And if you'd like to know more about this particular bar, well, here are some of the menu items.
Now, I don't know about you, but I personally was only taken to the zoo as well as to museums when I was in elementary school.
I guess that's a bit old-fashioned now.
Regardless, neither the school district nor the school board member who shared those photos on Twitter, neither of them got back to a request for comment.
Regardless, though, if you'd like to read more about this school field trip over in Broward County, as well as those photos, all that will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And again, all I ask in return is that you take a quick moment to smash that like button for the YouTube algorithm.
Now, since we're on the topic of schools, let's move on over to Louisiana, where a mother of a 16 year old boy is threatening to sue his high school because she claims that her son was vaccinated for COVID while he was at school without her consent.
Let me just repeat that.
This mother is threatening to sue the school district because her 16 year old son was given the shot without her permission.
What happened, according to this mother, is that a mobile vaccination clinic, meaning one of those mobile vans, it visited the son's high school during the day, and while they were there, they allowed her son, who is again 16 years old, to sign the consent form and receive the COVID vaccine.
And this is, by the way, despite the fact that the Louisiana Department of Health, it requires a parent signature for anyone under the age of 18 to be vaccinated.
Here's, in fact, how the mother's lawyer described what happened during an interview with The Daily Caller.
A mobile vaccine unit was on campus at East Jefferson High School in Kenner, Louisiana, on October 20, 2021.
A nurse with Ochsner, presumably knowing my client to be below the age of consent, gave him a form to sign that would normally be signed by a parent or guardian and instructed him to sign his name.
Furthermore, she added that the son, who is again a 16-year-old boy, was not even clear on what was exactly going on.
Here's what she said.
In fact, here's a statement from the mother's lawyer on that front.
Jennifer, meaning the mother, is not necessarily against vaccines, but she wanted to discuss this with her child first, and she wanted to do more homework and research on the possible side effects and whether the adverse health effects of the vaccine were worth the risk as opposed to her child contracting COVID without a vaccine and obtaining natural immunity.
Hey there, actually, since this event came to light, the chief medical officer for the Ochsner Health System, which is the health system that was running those vaccination vans, they actually released a statement saying essentially that what happened was a mistake.
Here's the statement from the chief medical officer, quote, while we firmly believe in vaccinating adolescents to keep them safe from COVID-19, this should be done only with parental consent.
Our team has been notified that a student was vaccinated without proper parental consent at a school vaccination event on October the 20th, 2021.
We have procedures in place to ensure that all policies are followed.
However, in this instance, it did not occur.
He then further added that they will be revising their program of in-school vaccinations to ensure that this type of thing never happens again, although he did not exactly provide any details about what specifics of the program they will be revising.
We're in the studio.
Back to you.
If you'd like to read more about this happening over in Louisiana, I'll throw the link to that.
