U.S. Marshal Sting Operations: 31 Missing Children Located, Rescued in Texas | Facts Matter

Good evening.
Over in New York City, a school there has just released new language guidelines which encourages the students to stop using words like mom, dad, and parents in order to make the campus a more welcoming and inclusive environment.
Meanwhile, a judge has just given the green light for Texas to remove Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid program.
This came after an undercover video was released showing representatives from Planned Parenthood talking about selling fetal tissue to researchers.
Now, over in Dallas, after a month-long rescue operation, 31 missing children were located, recovered, or rescued, including seven who fell into sex trafficking.
Let's go through these stories together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
Now let's start today's discussion over in New York City.
Parents at a local private school in Manhattan were fairly surprised to find their children being encouraged to stop using terms like mom, dad, and parents in an effort to make the campus a more welcoming and inclusive space.
Now, the school in question is called Grace Church School.
They have two campuses in Manhattan, and they teach children from grades K-12.
And what they did was they issued a 12-page inclusive language guide which recommended that students, staff, and parents remove harmful assumptions from the way that they interact.
For example, this guide teaches that instead of saying mom, dad, and parents, it's better to say grown-ups, folks, family, or guardians, because these new terms do not contain assumptions about what a typical family looks like.
In fact, here's what the guide states.
Families are formed and structured in many ways.
At Grace Church School, we use inclusive language that reflects this diversity.
It's important to refrain from making assumptions about who kids live with, who cares for them, whether they sleep in the same place every night, whether they see their parents, etc.
Now, furthermore, this guide went on to say that the term traditional family is outdated, and that we actively try to undo notions of a typical or normal family structure.
Each family is unique.
Now, when it comes to the topic of gender, this language guide recommends that teachers not address students as either boys or girls, ladies and gentlemen, or even as, generically, guys.
Instead, it recommends gender-neutral terms like people.
Folks, friends, readers, or even mathematicians.
Furthermore, when reading books to children, adults are encouraged to take gender out of the text wherever they deem it unnecessary.
For example, the guide suggests that they can say, child, person, or character, instead of saying, for instance, the boy on this page.
Now, when this guide was made public, it understandably drew quite a bit of criticism, forcing the head of the school to release this statement.
Now, while his statement did give some reasoning around the question of why not just say mom and dad, it did while his statement did give some reasoning around the question of why not just say mom and dad, it did not explain why And actually, here I would like to mention something.
These new guidelines were first made public in an article by a journalist named Barry Weiss, who gave examples of this type of ideology being placed into the curriculum not just in New York City, but around the entire country.
And here's what she said is happening to the students all across America.
So children learn how the new rules of woke work.
The idea of lying in order to please a teacher seems like a phenomenon from the Soviet Union.
But the high schoolers I spoke with said that they do versions of this, including parroting views that they don't believe in assignments so that their grades don't suffer.
Now, if you would like to read her whole article, which is phenomenal, by the way, and it has a ton of great real-life examples of this happening, or if you would like to read these new guidelines from The Grace School, all those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And by the way, that is that same description box that's right below that like button that I hope you take a moment to smash.
Because you already know that videos that are like this, talking honestly about what's happening in this world right now, are routinely censored, they are throttled, meaning that their reach is reduced, or they are sometimes outright removed by the big tech platforms like YouTube.
However, when you smash that like button that's below this video, you are forcing the YouTube algorithm to share this video out to potentially thousands of more people, letting the truth be known far and wide.
And actually, while we're on the topic of Manhattan, there is another story that I would like to mention.
The district attorney who is leading the investigation into President Trump has just announced that he is planning to leave office later this year.
During an interview with The New Yorker, the Manhattan district attorney, a man by the name of Cy Vance, who's a Democrat, he said that he will not seek re-election and he plans on retiring on December the 31st.
Now, as for the reason for his retirement, he cites the high pressure of the job.
Here's what he said.
It turned out to be tougher than I thought it would be.
There's nothing worse than a politician who doesn't know when to leave.
Now, before he retires, he will continue to conduct the secretive probe of President Trump.
And the reason that it's a secretive probe is because this district attorney has, on numerous occasions, declined to shed insight into the investigation.
Although, if you look at the publicly available court filings, they indicate that the prosecutors believe that President Trump may have falsified records and committed fraud.
Now, if you remember, a few weeks ago, this district attorney's office was able to get access to President Trump's tax returns.
That was after the Supreme Court decided to not block them from doing so.
And in response to that decision by the Supreme Court, President Trump released a statement calling this whole investigation a fishing expedition, adding that,"...this is something which has never happened to a president before.
It is all Democrat-inspired in a totally Democrat location, New York City and state, completely controlled and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo." And actually, speaking of Andrew Cuomo, as you might have heard, he has been tied up in two dueling scandals.
One involves his administration's cover-up of nursing home deaths, and the second involving his alleged sexual misconduct with several women.
Now, the pressure against him from within his own party is mounting.
Just earlier today, Jerry Nadler, who is a high-ranking House member from New York, he has called on Andrew Cuomo to resign.
Here's what he said in a statement.
Governor Cuomo is guaranteed due process under the law.
But there is a difference between formal investigations that may end in criminal charges and a question of confidence in our political leadership.
The question before us is squarely a political judgment.
Governor Cuomo has lost the confidence of the people of New York.
Governor Cuomo must resign.
If you would like to read more about the allegations against Governor Cuomo, I will throw several articles that go through the details of them into the description box below this video.
And now, before we discuss a new election integrity bill over in New Jersey, I would like to mention that most of us are about to get a $1,400 stimulus check.
And if you are looking for a place to spend that currency before it's inflated away, I would like to take a quick moment to introduce our sponsor for today's episode, and I will do so from the sound booth.
That's right.
The sponsor of today's episode is American Hartford Gold, which is a company run by Patriots.
That's why they sponsor a program like ours.
And actually, they're also my personal gold and silver bullion dealer.
I just got my recent order from them in the mail.
Now, if you are worried about the economic situation in America, with these trillions of dollars in stimulus packages, these trillions amounts of dollars that the Fed has pumped into our economy by buying up all these assets, or our national debt ballooning to what it has and seemingly no one talking about it...
Well, so am I. And by the way, I don't give you any financial advice, but I'll tell you what I do.
And for the last four and a half years, I've been buying up physical gold and silver every single month.
Just every single month, I allocate a portion of my salary to buying physical gold, like this gold one-ounce coin or this silver 10-ounce bar.
I don't know if you can see it.
It's quite beautiful.
That's what I do.
I just, I buy it, and I believe it's probably one of the best hedges against inflation that you can get.
It had value 5,000 years ago, it has value today, and it'll have value, in my opinion, well into the future.
Now, American Heart for Gold is a great company.
They have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
They have just super, super friendly customer service staff, so when you call them, they'll answer all your questions, they'll help you out, and also their waiting music is actually a speech from Ronald Reagan, which is very cool, I think.
And they have some of the best rates out there in the market in terms of gold and silver.
So if you want to check them out, the link will be in the description box below this video.
And actually right now they're offering a special where depending on how much you buy, they'll actually throw in $1,500 of free silver into your order.
So that's great.
So you can either click on the link in the description box below or you can call 866- Or you can text Roman to 65532.
American Heart for Gold, thank you so much for sponsoring our episode.
And now Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now let's move on over to New Jersey.
A lawmaker there has just introduced a new bill that will require the state of New Jersey to provide the capability to vote in person to all voters in all elections.
This new bill would also prohibit the governor from restricting the right to vote in person without the New Jersey legislature's approval, while at the same time preserving voters' right to choose to vote by mail if they would like to.
Now here's what the lawmaker who introduced this bill had to say about it.
The legislature has been wrongfully cut out from having any real say in these decisions.
That cannot continue any longer.
These are not some arbitrary choices with little impact.
We are dealing with constitutional rights.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we actually got a chance to interview this lawmaker, and he told us that his office was inundated with phone calls, emails, as well as texts during the last election from people in New Jersey who were very upset that they could not go to the polls.
He said that they felt like they were being disenfranchised.
Here's what he said: "That's the way they've always voted, and they feel most comfortable, and I think that's only fair.
The arguments that they made were compelling.
They would go into a Home Depot or a Lowe's, and there would be massive crowds.
Yet they were prohibited from going to a polling station where they would go one at a time into a booth." Now, for your reference, by the way, in the November 2020 election, mail-in ballots were sent to all voters in New Jersey, and in-person voting was not allowed.
Now, besides this particular new bill, the same lawmaker has introduced several other ones as well, including one that requires voter ID at polling places, another bill that would cleanse the voter rolls of ineligible voters, and he told us during our interview with him that he is planning to introduce another bill very soon that would require the New Jersey government to establish a hotline For reporting voter fraud.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we will keep our eyes on these bills as they're going to be making their way through the state house, and we'll keep your best of any developments as they come about.
Now, if you would like to read more details about these bills out in New Jersey, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now, let's move on over to Texas, where a lot of noteworthy news has been happening.
First of all, a judge has just given the green light for Texas to remove Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid program.
The judge in this case is a woman by the name of Laura Livingston.
And before her was a case where Planned Parenthood was suing state officials in Texas by arguing that they were not properly notified about the state's termination of their Medicaid funding.
Now, to give you a little bit of background on this case, Texas began the effort to exclude Planned Parenthood from their Medicaid program back in 2015.
That was when a pro-life organization called the Center for Medical Progress published an undercover video showing representatives of a Houston Planned Parenthood clinic talking about selling fetal tissue to researchers.
Take a look.
Brain, kidney, thymus, liver, spleen, femur for specific specimens, the compensation would be higher.
Even if the procedure itself, there's a modification in how they do it, it's still the same procedure, but we're doing it in a way that we deserve the integrity of the specimen, I think is, yeah.
So the full video, by the way, is pretty long, and it's pretty disturbing.
And after it was published, the push to remove Planned Parenthood from Texas' Medicaid program came underway.
Ken Paxton, who is the Attorney General out in Texas, he described it this way.
Undercover video plainly showed Planned Parenthood admitting to morally bankrupt and unlawful conduct, including violations of federal law by manipulating the timing and methods of abortions to obtain fetal tissue for their own research.
Planned Parenthood is not a qualified provider under the Medicaid Act, and it should not receive public funding through the Medicaid program.
Now, the judge's decision in this case is a little bit technical.
It has to also do with the fact that this case was already challenged at the federal court level.
But regardless, the bottom line is that Texas is now able to remove Planned Parenthood from their Medicaid program.
As part of her decision, this is what the judge wrote.
This decision is not made lightly.
In the light of the ongoing public health crisis, the risks of the individual losing health care and medical attention requires increased attention and scrutiny.
Furthermore, Planned Parenthood as an organization decried the decision, saying that thousands of low-income patients who use its clinics for services that are not related to abortion, such as STD testing and cancer screenings, will be forced to find new providers, adding that,"...without access to the comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare Planned Parenthood provides,
thousands of lives are now at even greater risk." Now, if you would like to read this full decision by the court, or if you would like to watch that full undercover video that launched this whole case, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now, let's stay in Texas and talk about what happened over in Austin.
As you might have already heard, the governor of Texas has lifted the statewide mask mandate.
However, officials out in Austin, they have announced that they are intending to actually go against the order by keeping their existing health rules in place through at least April 15th, with the possibility of a further extension.
Furthermore, the city of Austin updated their rules to require everyone over the age of six to wear a face covering when they are on city property.
In a statement, here is what the Interim Austin Health Authority said.
Wearing a face covering is one of the easiest ways to slow the transmission of disease in our community.
While vaccine administration is underway, we are still not in a place of herd immunity and need people to wear face coverings in public and around non-household members so we can avoid another surge of cases.
However, the Attorney General of Texas took issue with this, and he wrote a letter to the Austin mayor saying that the governor's order "...has the force and effect of state law, and supersedes local rules and regulations." Now, in that same letter, he went on to further say that the decision to require masks or impose other restrictions is reserved to private businesses on their own premises, and that "...it does not rest with jurisdictions like the City of Austin or Travis County or their local health authorities."
nor do they have the authority to threaten fines for noncompliance.
Now, in terms of what will likely happen next...
In an interview, a spokesperson for the Austin mayor said that the city does not intend to rescind their order, so it looks like a lawsuit is indeed imminent.
And by the way, this is not the first of its kind.
Earlier this year, Ken Paxton, who is the Texas Attorney General, he asked the Texas Supreme Court to block the city of Austin, as well as Travis County, from imposing a curfew on dine-in services.
And he won both of those cases.
And this time, in regards to the mask mandate, he said this...
We have already taken you to court under similar circumstances.
You lost.
If you continue to flout the law in this manner, we'll take you to court again, and you will lose again.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we reached out to the mayor of Austin for comment on this case, but we have yet to hear back.
If you would like to read the details regarding the standoff between the state of Texas and the city of Austin, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now let's move on over to Dallas.
After a month-long operation, 31 missing children were located, recovered, or rescued in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas.
According to local officials over there, at least seven of these recoveries were of critically missing children with ties to sex trafficking.
Included among these cases was a 15-year-old girl rescued from the home of a John, as well as another 15-year-old girl who was rescued from an Uber over in Houston during a prostitution sting.
The 24 other children, who were not tied to sex trafficking, were recovered from either their friends or relatives and reunited with their legal guardians.
Now, this operation was conducted by U.S. Marshals alongside several other agencies and police departments.
In a statement, here's what the acting U.S. Marshal said.
Victims should know they are not forgotten.
There is hope and a way to return home.
The police chief of Arlington added that these kids and teens represent some of our most vulnerable populations where adults try to prey on their innocence.
We will not rest until every child is located safe and someone is held accountable.
Now, for your reference, by the way, more than 346,000 missing children reports were recorded in the year 2020, so while these rescued 31 children is a phenomenal achievement, there is still a lot of work to be done.
If you would like to read the full statements from these local officials, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out, and also, I'll throw another link down there to a page where, if you know any details surrounding missing children, you can go there and leave a tip.
Maybe you'll be able to help out.
That link will also be in the description box below this video.
Now, one film director that we interviewed here at the Epoch Times, he actually released a film called America's Forgotten, and he says that human traffickers feed off of loose border laws.
And so, let's talk a little bit about the U.S. southern border.
And let's start with this picture right here.
It might be a little small on the screen, so here's a close-up for you.
In this picture, which was taken on the Mexico side of the U.S.-Mexico border, you can see that the border wall abruptly ends right here, and migrants are running from Mexico into America right through that hole in the wall.
In fact, according to provisional data from the Customs and Border Protection Agency, during the month of February, so last month, Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 101,000 illegal border crossers.
Additionally, they said that 26,000 people evaded capture and got away.
Now mind you, these are provisional numbers and the official data will be out in the next few days.
But still, what it shows is a huge spike in the number of illegal border crossings.
This number from last February, over 101,000 apprehensions, is almost triple the number from last February of last year, of 2020.
Back then, Border Patrol caught only 37,000 people.
Also worth noting is that many of those who are crossing are unaccompanied minors, who cannot be turned back if they are from a country other than Mexico.
In fact, there are so many minors coming across the border that the Department of Health and Human Services has just opened a second facility to house them.
Furthermore, it's even been reported that they are considering housing them at a NASA center.
That's how many of them there are.
It's so bad, in fact, that four days ago, the Department of Homeland Security said that they are seeking volunteers from among other agencies to assist in dealing with an overwhelming surge at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Interestingly, though, when Joe Biden was asked by reporters, he flatly said that there is no crisis at the border and that we'll be able to handle it.
Although he did not elaborate further.
And furthermore, during a press conference a few days ago, the White House press secretary said that instead of calling it a crisis...
What I also think is important is to talk about what the root causes are here and what we're doing from a policy standpoint to try to address the challenges that we're facing and that these kids are facing as they come across the border.
Now, the Texas governor, Greg Abbott, he held a press conference near the U.S.-Mexico border where he raised the alarm of a growing crisis after meeting with border officials.
During that press conference, he blamed the Biden administration's immigration policies, saying that they actually work to invite more illegal immigration and that they are contributing to the crisis, which he says will grow increasingly worse by the day.
And in order to combat this issue, Texas has decided to take it upon themselves rather than wait for the federal government.
And along that line, the governor has launched a program earlier this week which will deploy state National Guard troops, as well as personnel from several other agencies, to respond to the growing crisis at the border.
Now, if you would like to read more about these efforts that Texas is taking at the U.S. southern border, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now lastly, as we already mentioned in a previous episode, on the very same day that Joe Biden was sworn into office, YouTube made the unilateral decision to demonetize our program, to demonetize Facts Matter.
We can now no longer run any ads before, during, or after our episodes, and the Super Chat feature has just been disabled.
Basically, we have sponsors, of course, luckily, but they have essentially snuffed out our advertising dollars.
They have made it so we cannot monetize our content, which, from the standpoint of an independent media outlet like the Epoch Times, is the same as them trying to snuff out our reporting.
However, if you would like to support The Epoch Times, I will throw a link into the description box below this video to a page where you can subscribe to The Epoch Times.
It only costs a few dollars every month, but by subscribing you will not only be supporting independent journalism, but you will have access to all of our uncensored reporting, our deep investigations, all of our video interviews, our documentaries, our opinion pieces, our editorials, and if anything ever happens here on YouTube, you will have continued access to all of our video programs as well.
