BREAKING: Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize Again | Facts Matter
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Good evening.
President Trump has just been nominated for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.
The nomination came as a result of his as well as his team's work over in the Middle East.
Now, over in Texas, the governor over there has directed every state agency, every single agency in Texas, to sue the Biden administration over any actions that threaten jobs within the energy sector.
Meanwhile, over at the FBI, the former lawyer, who was found to have committed forgery when he was applying for a spy warrant against an American citizen, he was just sentenced to 12 months of probation as well as 400 hours of community service.
Let's go through these stories together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
Now let's start today's discussion by talking about the Nobel Peace Prize.
So earlier today, President Trump has officially been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by a member of the European Parliament.
In explaining why he nominated President Trump, here's what this lawmaker said on social media.
In the last 30 years, Donald Trump is the first president of the United States who, during his tenure, has not started a war.
Additionally, he signed several peace agreements in the Middle East, which have helped provide stability in the region and peace.
Now, what he's referring to there are the Abraham Accords, which was a joint statement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, as well as the United States, and then later was joined in by Bahrain and as well as several other Arab countries as well.
And here's a short excerpt from that statement.
We promote efforts to promote interfaith and intercultural dialogue to advance a culture of peace among the three Abrahamic religions and all humanity.
We believe that the best way to address challenges is through cooperation and dialogue and that developing friendly relations among states advances the interests of lasting peace in the Middle East and around the world.
Now, President Trump was not the only member of his team who was nominated for that prize.
Jared Kushner, as well as three other Trump-era officials, have also been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Now, for your reference, by the way, those three other officials who were nominated were Avi Berkovitz, who was Jared Kushner's deputy, David Friedman, who was the U.S. ambassador to Israel, as well as Ron Dermer, who was the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. And all three of these Trump-era officials were nominated by Alan Dershowitz, who is a former professor at the Harvard Law School.
Here's what he had to say in the nomination letter.
The Nobel Peace Prize is not for popularity, nor is it an assessment of what the international community may think of those who helped bring about peace.
It is an award for fulfilling the daunting criteria set out by Alfred Nobel in his will.
These Abraham Accords, which have brought about normalization between Israel and several Sunni Arab nations, fulfill all the criteria for the prize.
They hold the promise of an even broader peace in the Middle East between Israel, the Palestinians, and other Arab nations.
They are a giant step forward in bringing peace and stability to the region and even to the world.
Now, these normalization deals between Israel and the other Arab countries were announced in a four-month span between August and December of last year.
And after they were announced, the deals were praised by pretty much everyone, by people across all political spectrums, as being very significant diplomatic breakthroughs over in the Middle East, pretty much the biggest ones over the last 25 years.
Now, to give you a little bit of broader context, all of these peace deals were done against the backdrop of escalating tensions with Iran.
In fact, a few weeks ago, Mike Pompeo delivered a speech over at the National Press Club, and here's what he said.
Al-Qaeda has a new home base.
It is the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As a result, Osama bin Laden's wicked creation is poised to gain strength and capabilities.
We ignore this Iran-Al-Qaeda nexus at our own peril.
We need to acknowledge it.
We must confront it.
Indeed, we must defeat it.
And so, seen in that light, these Abraham Accords, these peace deals in the Middle East, are being praised for enabling Israel, the U.S., as well as the Arab countries to have a more strategic response to the threats that are being posed by Iran.
In fact, this statement from the Jewish Institute for the National Security of America, I think it said it pretty succinctly.
The recent Abraham Accords between Israel and the United Arab Emirates in Bahrain both reflect and agree a growing strategic alignment between Israel and key American partners in the Middle East, driven primarily by the worsening Iranian nuclear and regional threats.
It also could enable Israel, U.S. forces in the Middle East, and Arab partners to begin or deepen regional cooperation on missile defense, exercises, strategic planning, intelligence sharing, and other critical military activities.
Now, this is not the first time that President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Five months ago, back in September of last year, just as the first deal was being signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, a Norwegian lawmaker nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
And so this new nomination, the one that just happened today, makes it the second nomination for this year for President Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
So we'll see if he actually wins.
The results are going to be determined in October of this year, so that's still about eight months away.
And the competition, it seems to be stiff, as the Black Lives Matter movement was just also nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
If you'd like to read more about President Trump's work in the Middle East, as well as the details of the Abraham Accords, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.

You know that videos like this that are talking honestly about what is happening in this world are routinely censored by big tech.
In fact, as you already know, on the very same day that Joe Biden was inaugurated into office, YouTube made the decision to demonetize our channel altogether.
We can now no longer run pre-roll, mid-roll, or post-roll ads.
However, when you smash that like button, you are forcing the algorithm, the same algorithm that censors us, you are forcing the algorithm to share this video out to potentially thousands of more people, letting the truth be known far and wide.
And by the way, now is a great time to introduce our channel sponsor for today, and I'll do so over in the sound room.
That's right.
The sponsor of today's program is American Hartford Gold.
They are a company that's owned by Patriots.
That's why they sponsor a program like ours.
And they are in the business of selling physical gold and silver that can be delivered directly to your doorstep or gold and silver that can be deposited directly into your IRA account, making the whole thing extremely simple.
They have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau, meaning that they have just excellent customer service.
And you know what?

American Heart for Gold, thank you so much for sponsoring our episode.
And now Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now let's go on over to Texas.
Three days ago, the governor of Texas directed all state agencies, basically every single state agency in Texas, to file lawsuits against the Biden administration for any actions that threaten the jobs of Texans within the oil and gas industries.
Here's what he said at a press conference.
Texas is going to protect the oil and gas industry from any type of hostile attack launched from Washington, D.C.
President Biden's embrace of the Green New Deal is a job killer in Texas.
It also takes a wrecking ball to the energy independence that Texas has been able to provide to the United States of America.
And Texas is not going to stand idly by and watch the Biden administration kill jobs in Midland, in Odessa, or any other place across the region.
Now, by the way, when he says Odessa, he means Odessa, Texas.
That's where he gave the speech.
And so after delivering that speech, the governor of Texas signed an executive order directing all state agencies to sue the Biden administration for any federal actions that threaten jobs in the state's energy sector.
Now, the broader context of this around what's going on is that this executive order came on the heels of a series of executive actions that were taken by Joe Biden in the name of fighting climate change.
These included stripping away authorization for the Keystone Pipeline, making the decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord, as well as a moratorium on issuing new oil and gas leases on federal land as well as federal waters.
Now, Mitch McConnell, he criticized all of these actions and collectively dubbed them the piecemeal Green New Deal.
He added that, This piecemeal Green New Deal is the wrong prescription.
Wrong for the environment, wrong for national security, and most of all, for the working Americans who will soon be formerly working Americans if this keeps up.
Willfully throwing our own people out of work, reducing our domestic energy security, raising costs and prices for working families, all for no meaningful impact on global temperatures.
Mitch McConnell also cited a report from the energy consulting firm On Location, which found that Joe Biden's ban on new oil and gas leases would mean the loss of nearly one million jobs by next year.
However, if you'd like to get an idea of the thinking behind the Biden administration's actions, here's what John Kerry, who is the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, said at a press briefing.
Joe Biden wants to make sure workers in the energy industry have better choices in jobs that pay better and are cleaner, giving the example of being a solar power technician instead of being a miner.
He also claimed that it's a false notion that dealing with climate comes at the expense of energy workers, adding that there is a lot of money to be made in the creation of new, healthier jobs in sectors such as green hydrogen, geothermal heat, and other renewables.
However, the governor of Texas, as we already discussed, does not see eye to eye with John Kerry on this one.
And with his executive order, the Texas governor is fighting back and directing all of the state agencies to use all lawful powers and tools to challenge any federal action that threatens the continued strength and vitality of the energy industry.
Each state agency should work to identify potential litigation, notice and comment opportunities, and any other means of preventing federal overreach within the law.
Now, this will probably be a very, very long-term battle, at least over the next four years.
And we'll keep our finger on the pulse and report any developments as they're going to be happening.
If you'd like to read more about the comments that came out of Texas or about the details of Joe Biden's executive orders, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now let's talk a little bit about Operation Crossfire Hurricane.
Now, if you're unfamiliar, Operation Crossfire Hurricane was the codename for the FBI's probe into a Trump campaign advisor back in 2016.
Basically, it's what's colloquially known as the Russia probe.
Now, U.S. Attorney John Durham, who was assigned to investigate the FBI's actions, he has so far only brought up one criminal referral.
That was against a former FBI attorney named Kevin Clinesmith.
Now, this FBI attorney, he was found to have altered an email that was then handed over to a judge that was then used as one of the pieces for justification to actually spy on Carter Page using a FISA warrant.
It's a little bit complex, but you know what?
We actually created a short video to explain it all.
Take a look.
After 15 months, U.S. Attorney John Durham has filed the first criminal charge in his investigation.
The man that he charged, who has now pled guilty, was the primary FBI lawyer who was assigned to provide legal support to the special counsel led by Bob Mueller.
So what was his crime?
Basically, here's what happened.
When the special counsel first began, the CIA sent them a memo saying that Carter Page, who was a Trump campaign advisor, used to be an approved operational contact for the CIA and that he reported back to the CIA about his interactions with Russian intelligence officers.
However, when the FBI applied for the FISA spy warrants to surveil Carter Page, they told the judge that Carter Page had contacts with Russian intelligence officers, but they failed to mention that he was actually working with the CIA. And this is where the crime comes in.
Because the FBI lawyer took an email that was sent to him, which indicated that Carter Page was indeed a CIA contact, and he added the words, and not a source.
the FISA court and ultimately being allowed to continue to surveil Carter Page.
Now, since we created that video, there has been an update.
It was just reported two days ago that a federal judge sentenced that FBI attorney to 12 months of probation as well as 400 hours of community service.
All of that just for altering an email in order to spy on an American citizen.
The judge in the case described the forgery as an inappropriate shortcut, but he decided that the FBI attorney did not intend to lie when he made the forgery.
If you'd like to read the judge's decision as well as his rationale, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now let's talk a little bit about forced organ harvesting.
Four days ago, officials over in Frederick County, that's over in Virginia, voted unanimously to adopt a resolution which condemns forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience over in China.
According to the resolution, while there has been little media coverage of this problem, dozens of residents in the county have come forward to voice their concerns.
Now, the stated purpose of this resolution is to educate the county's residents and medical community on the risks of traveling to China for organ transplant in light of recent reports of state-sponsored organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.
Now, in regards to what evidence there is of this massive crime happening in China, we here at the Epoch Times have been following it closely, and we have been investigating it deeply since 2006, basically for the last 15 years, when these allegations first came to light.
And in fact, here's a short video that we made on the topic.
The Chinese Communist regime is killing people and harvesting their organs.
Although most media have remained almost completely silent on this issue over the last decade, there has been mounting evidence that the Chinese Communist Party's transplant system is completely unethical, and honestly, it's evil.
Since 1999, the number of transplants in China just took off.
China went from having 150 transplant centers in 1999 to having over 714 of them today.
But what's beyond belief is where these organs are coming from.
The Epoch Times has been doing deep investigations, and what we've been reporting on is truly shocking.
They have had hospitals advertise online that they could guarantee patients organs within a time frame of weeks, and that they could even schedule operations in advance.
To put that into perspective, here in the U.S., the waiting time for a kidney is over five years.
But in China, you can get it next month.
And for these Chinese hospitals, it's an extremely profitable business, as their websites show that they're charging $30,000 for corneas, $60,000 for kidneys, and $150,000 for hearts.
Just imagine what a single person is worth to them.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars.
And you might think that it makes sense because China is a big country, so they must have a lot of organ donors, right?
But this is where it gets really scary.
The Chinese newspaper Beijing Today reported in 2011 that the Beijing Red Cross said that over the past 20 years, only 37 people nationwide registered to become organ donors.
That's 37 people in all of China.
So where are these organs coming from?
Well, in 2010, China's Vice Minister of Health admitted that over 90% of these organs come from executed prisoners.
But that doesn't make any sense.
China executes an estimated 8,000 prisoners a year, which is far, far less than the 60,000 transplants that they do every year.
So where are these organs really coming from?
Researchers have concluded that China is killing and harvesting organs from prisoners of conscience.
Practitioners of Falun Gong in particular are believed to be the main sources for these organs.
Our reporters have spoken to practitioners of this meditation discipline who have escaped China, and they told us that while they were being tortured inside of prisons, they were also subject to blood tests and urine tests.
So what this means is that if you go to China today for an organ, an innocent person will likely be killed to supply it to you.
Now, if you'd like to learn more about the forced organ harvesting that's happening in China's prison systems against practitioners of Falun Dafa, against house Christians, against Uyghur Muslims, and other prisoners of conscience, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now lastly, as I already mentioned, on the very same day that Joe Biden was sworn into office, YouTube made the decision to demonetize Facts Matter, to demonetize this program.
We can no longer run ads before, during, or after our episodes.
And the Super Chat feature has been totally disabled.
However, if you would like to support honest journalism, if you would like to support our reporting, I'll throw a link to our subscription page in the description box below this video.
I hope you check it out.
Because if you've been following our program, you know we do not cover any conspiracy theories.

We tell you what it's about.
We tell you the facts of the matter, and we tell it to you all transparently.
All the links are always in the description box below this video.
And yet, we still are demonetized, and we're still routinely censored by big tech.
To me, it almost makes no sense.
And it's very challenging because I'm an American.
We make this show in America, primarily for American citizens, for an American audience.
And yet, every time I sit down to write, every time I do my research, and every time I'm here in front of the camera talking to you, I have to self-censor.
I have to think about, what can I say?
What can't I say?
It's like running through mental gymnastics as I'm making my program.
It honestly feels like working behind enemy lines.
It does not feel like making a show in America, the greatest and freest country in the world.
However, if you'd like to support us, if you'd like to support Honest Journalism, if you'd like to support The Epoch Times, I hope you subscribe.
