I'm Jordan Conradson, and this is the Gateway Pundits DC Dive.
For our top story of Friday, Cullen Leinberger reports: quote, meet the woke judge who ignored a prosecutor's dire warning with a callous response and set a violent thug with 49 prior arrests free.
He later set a woman ablaze on a Chicago train.
What's new in Chicago?
Earlier this month, a man stabbed a 27-year-old woman on a train platform.
This man, as you see in the video, he was arrested 49 different times on different charges, many of them being felonies.
But I mean, just look at him.
You got to have equity in our justice system.
You got to, that guy doesn't look too dangerous.
It's not like he was going to go on and set a woman on fire on the train.
Oh, wait, he did.
I mean, this is an ongoing trend across the country.
You look at issues like big balls in DC, who got beat up by a group of like 17-year-old thugs, and they got off the hook.
I think they got sentenced to like probation, maybe house arrest, but they got out.
No consequences almost whatsoever.
This is kind of reminiscent of an illegal alien who last year lit a woman, did the same thing, doused her in gasoline and lit her on fire on a New York subway just roughly one year ago.
You know, I'm really starting to notice a trend in these liberal cities, but here's Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson saying it's just an isolated incident.
It's not a trend.
unidentified
What I can say is that as awful and as horrific as this tragedy is, this is an isolated incident.
As we continue to invest more in our public transportation system, we want people to feel safe as they ride.
And so many working people rely upon our public transportation system across the city.
And that's why I'm doing my part to ensure that these investments are getting right to the people so that, of course, people can continue to enjoy.
This is an isolated incident.
I mean, I don't see this as some sort of trend.
And again, you know, the level of accountability that has to happen in this moment, you know, I trust that the federal level will do its part.
Yeah, it's just a horrific, you know, isolated incident.
Stuff like this doesn't happen all the time, but it really does.
Every weekend in Chicago, there's double digits of shootings, murders all across the city.
The subways are not safe to ride on.
I'm kind of afraid riding on the subway in DC, except I was until President Trump sent the National Guard, sent DC police, and really equipped them with everything they need to crack down on the crime.
Obviously, there is still crime, but made me feel a lot safer when I get off the metro in DC and I see National Guard troops, military police, they're waiting for me, not to arrest me, but to keep me safe, actually.
And coming up next is everything racist?
But first, a message from our sponsor.
In our last spotlight, we introduced district copper trading under CAXPF in the U.S. and DCOP in Canada as a rising force in North America's critical mineral sector.
District copper is gaining traction in North America's critical mineral sector.
The company has announced a strategic partnership with Reacher Gold LLC, a Nevada-based exploration firm focused on copper, gold, and silver.
This marks District Copper's entry into the U.S. metals market, leveraging high potential assets with historical production and existing infrastructure.
The move aligns with the U.S. government's push to secure domestic critical mineral sources, including copper, rare earths, and lithium, to bolster national security and supply chain resilience.
Washington has recently invested in Canadian mining firms like Trilogy Metals, which saw its stock surge over 200% after a U.S. $35 million investment for a 10% equity stake.
District Copper's binational strategy, combining its Canadian Copper CAG project with new U.S. assets, positions it uniquely in this geopolitical landscape.
Partnering with Reacher Gold, known for sourcing undervalued U.S. assets, aims to fast-track development and unlock near-term production.
With progress at CopperCAG, U.S. listing and the strategic partnership, District Copper listed on the stock exchange under CAXPF and the Toronto Stock Exchange under DCOP, could be the next big name for investors.
The stock shows significant upside potential.
Don't overlook it.

And for our next story from the gateway pundit, I reported Democrat congresswoman Sheila Scherfilis-McCormick blames Epstein distraction and racism after she's indicted for allegedly stealing $5 million in FEMA funds.
Now, according to a Justice Department press release, Sherfiles McCormick and her brother Edwin Scherfless worked through their family healthcare company on a FEMA-funded COVID-19 vaccination staffing contract in 2021.
In July 2021, the company received an overpayment of $5 million, which they conspired to steal and route through multiple accounts to disguise its source.
Some of this money was actually, allegedly, used as campaign contributions for her 2021 campaign.
But if you ask Sheila what happened, it's just an intimidation tactic targeting brown and black people like herself, as is any other form of accountability for minorities.
Well, it's an unjust indictment, and it seems like these intimidation tactics have been pervasive.
We spent all weeks seeing different members getting censured all in hopes of intimidating and kind of distracting from the Epstein files.
And I look forward to my dating support so I can prove myself and actually state the truth.
But if this is what Congress is becoming, where they're always trying to intimidate you, scare tactics, especially attacking minorities, black, and brown people, then we're going to have to keep fighting for the district.
And everybody has been giving me so much support that we're going to keep fighting until the district gets what it needs, which is fair prices, housing, and fair representation.
Only the people that elected me should say whether I stay or go, should say whether I'm guilty or innocent.
I mean, it's basically her saying I'm above the law because I was elected by these people.
Obviously, the elections are a little suspicious in my opinion.
Who knows how fairly she was elected to that office?
But aren't you just tired of the constant race baiting and saying, oh, everything's racist.
Oh, you're just a racist.
You're just trying to distract from this.
And you're using me because I'm a minority and I committed a crime, but I don't want to have to deal with the consequences.
And I mean, it's just, it's getting so old.
I'm so tired of it.
I'm getting fatigued just by hearing everything have to do with race.
Anyway, interesting story here.
Next, I report for the Gateway Pundit.
Trump says Zoron Mamdani will, quote, surprise conservatives after a, quote, great meeting.
Mamdani signals willingness to work with Trump.
So President Trump and Zoron Mamdani apparently put aside their differences after meeting on Wednesday, excuse me, on Friday, and they will now focus on fixing New York.
Mamdani even admitted that more that more New Yorkers voted for Trump because of his affordability agenda than any president in recent time.
And I can tell you that there were more New Yorkers who voted for President Trump in the most recent presidential election because of that focus on cost of living.
And I'm looking forward to working together to deliver on that affordability agenda.
And that's something that I shared with the president, that when I spoke to New Yorkers who had voted for the president last November on Hillside Avenue and Fordham Road, I asked them why.
I heard again and again two major reasons.
One was that they wanted an end to forever wars.
They wanted an end to the taxpayer dollars we had funding violations of human rights.
And they wanted to address the cost of living crisis.
And I appreciated the chance to discuss both of those things.
I mean, if Trump is right, that could be a pretty big deal.
That could solve a lot of the issues in New York.
Now, Mamdani is a socialist.
I think it's pretty indisputable that socialism is a bad thing.
But if you think about where the country is today, we are already putting so much money towards these social programs.
We're basically already almost a socialist country with how much welfare we give out, with how much subsidized housing we give out.
And some of probably the biggest issue, oh, and free health care, of course, to some of the people in this country.
The biggest issue with this, probably, though, is all the waste, fraud, and abuse that goes into it.
Fraud is a big factor with all of the millions of illegals that we have in our country on these programs stealing money from the taxpayer.
If Trump can come in and Mamdani is willing to let him remove all of the illegals, maybe New York can afford some greater funding for social programs that actually benefits America.
So, if you merge Mamdani's socialism, not that good, with Trump's America first kind of nationalism, and get rid of all of the illegal aliens and make it America first, this could work.
And what I'm seeing here is obviously Trump recognizes, you know, game recognizes game.
Mamdani is very popular in New York.
Trump is trying to work with him.
If, if Trump and Mamdani are successful in building New York and making it the city that it once was, Trump gets a lot of credit for that.
If it fails, he can just pin it all on Mamdani for being a socialist who won't let him come in and clean up the streets.
Well, that's all we got for that.
And Eric Swalwell, the Democratic congressman, has declared his candidacy for governor.
But first, a message from our sponsor: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm thrilled to announce my enthusiastic endorsement of Blackout Coffee, a company that embodies the heart of American values.

And we're back.
Ben Q reports for the Gateway pundit.
Sleazebag rep Eric Swalwell announces run for California governor, touts himself as the fiercest face of the Democratic resistance.
So, Swallow Swalwell, excuse me, I almost said swallow.
Swalwell announced his campaign with a press release describing himself as someone with fresh ideas and a tremendous heart.
That's so nice.
He said he'll be California's fighter and protector.
Seeing a guy bench 135 pounds and talk about how he should be working.
Wow, that's just gold.
He is such a Chad, if you ask me.
Anyway, Swalwell further announced his bid in a Jimmy Kimball appearance on Thursday, where he said he's going to fight to protect, quote, the greatest country in the world.
He's talking about California.
And he's specifically going to be fighting for those who are, quote, running through the fields from ICE agents, aka illegal aliens who are stealing American jobs.
And our state, this great state, needs a fighter and a protector, someone who will bring prices down, lift wages up.
And we can say that we're the fourth largest economy in the world, and we are.
And I love to brag about that.
But what does that mean if you can't afford to live here?
So I've been in these fights as a city council member up in Dublin, my hometown, as a prosecutor in Oakland, and taking on the most corrupt president ever in the U.S. Congress.
But I'm ready to bring this fight home.
So I came here tonight, Jimmy, to tell you and your audience that I'm running to be the next governor of California.
From farting on live TV to taking on the most corrupt president, you better watch out, President Trump.
This guy might be coming in.
And for our last story, therifttv.com writes: 130 Democrats urge the Supreme Court to strike down bans on transgender girls in women's sports.
I mean, after seeing that video of Swalwell lifting some weights, I don't think that there would be a huge problem with him competing in women's sports.
But a lot of other of these men who transition to women, they're actually stronger than women.
They're faster than women.
And it's such an unpopular issue.
I don't think they're ever going to learn.
If this is the hill they want to die on, screw it.
