I’m a Public Mask-Debater: Do Mask Mandates Work? | Ep 77

After Joe Biden and Kamala Harris call for a three-month mask mandate, is it time to put a stop to mask mandates? The corporate media and Hollywood elites are telling us that we need to wear masks, but do they really work? The CDC told us at the beginning of the pandemic that masks don’t work, and this is where the mask debate started. Do you wear masks when you go outside?

You are in violation of my constitutional rights.
I've been publicly caught mask debating, not to be confused with the perverted action of the other similar sounding action.
There is a debate all across America about whether masks are effective and the insanity that's ensuing.
And we're going to talk about that and a lot more coming up.
But I want to remind you guys, you know, censorship is at an all-time high, including the fact that this channel, a lot of our episodes get blocked, they get age restricted, they even get taken off the air.
I even got suspended on Twitter for airing certain content that was considered not friendly to the gods at big tech, which is why we need our own platform.
And Blazetv.com is that platform that allows this content not only to survive, but to thrive on the field.
So please support us by going to blazetv.com slash slightly offensive.
If you don't love the content and you don't care about the content, fine, don't do it.

But also feel free to leave us a five-star review.
It's free.
It helps out a lot.
But before we jump into the mask debate, I want to let you know I've been getting a lot of fan mail, a lot of hate fan mail recently.
And so I have a message for you guys.
I love how you try to exterminate all thinking ideas and people that don't fit your most ideal vision of how the world should be.
Hitler would be proud of you, dear haters.
You're the ISIS of the internet, terrorizing people in the comments section while being man enough to say what you think face to face with someone while they're in the arena and you're hiding behind your keyboard.
Your wife should leave you because you're toxic.
Good point.
Babe, you should leave me.
Why?
Because someone didn't like my video.
Okay, I'll leave you.
Fantastic.
I appreciate you trying to get my attention to let me know you're unfollowing me.
And your unfollow has really dismantle my whole online presence.
I mean, I've gotten like 2,500 new followers today, but your unfollows really destroyed my world.
Last one.
You suck.
Stop making videos.
Your words have inspired me.
I will stop making videos.
Let me just delete my YouTube channel here real quick.
Okay.
Done.
Dear haters, your willingness to avoid spending time making a difference in the world so you can devote your time to cutting down those who are trying to make a difference in the world is making a difference in the world.
You're admirable.
Just like how the quarterback intensely listens to what the people in the stands are yelling at him because they haven't stepped foot on the field in their entire life.
I hear you and thank you for your service to our country.
And yes, it is wonderful.
It is wonderful, my haters.
I'll let you know something that your hate not only feeds me, but it reminds me every day as I get tempted to listen to your comments, to divorce my wife, to commit suicide, to shut down my entire channel.
I really do come close to listening.
I'm going, I'm one common away from literally offing myself.
I will let you know something.
Please continue to unfollow me.
Continue to slander me.
I live off of it.
I love it.
And as you continue to mask debate inside of your room alone with no friends behind a keyboard, I encourage you to continue.
But as always, I want to give a huge shout out to the sponsor of this show.

Don't support companies that don't support you anyway.
I don't know if you guys remember that there has been a large debate about whether masks work or whether they don't work.
And we heard a lot of this in February.
Tell me if I'm wrong.
Let me try to make it plain here, Stray.
I have one surgical face mask here between the two of us, between me and Tom.
He's sick, I'm not.
Who should get the mask?
Well, your natural instinct is to say, Give me that mask.
I don't want to catch what he has, but I should be begging him to wear it because him, the sick person wearing it, better protects me, the healthy person, as if I were wearing it myself.
All these masks are floating around out there.
Which ones do health officials say you should use?
None of them.
As coronavirus fears sweep the country, many are turning to protective face masks, hoping to keep the germs away.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Selena Gomez, and Kate Hudson, among those posting pictures of their face coverings while traveling.
But not all masks are created equal.
And the surgical face masks that many people are turning to for protection from coronavirus likely won't protect you, according to health officials.
These types of masks instead are recommended for people who are already sick because they're designed to prevent a person from spreading germs from sneezing and coughing.
But there's another type of mask called an N95 or respirator mask, which the FDA says has a very efficient filtration, keeping out 95% of airborne particles.
Well, seems fair enough, right?
I mean, we remember back in February, they said masks don't work for most people.
In fact, masks are a little bit like using a condom once your pregnant girlfriend is already about to have a baby.
I mean, sure, it could prevent you from getting through, but in the end, you've already messed up, son.
You already screwed up.
No, I'm not preaching to you about anything else except for the fact that the CDC told us masks do not work except unless you're sick and you needed an N95 respirator to allow you to breathe just a little bit because God knows in an era that's obsessed with whether or not you can breathe.
You ever heard the quote, I can't breathe?
I have at least 27 million times.
Suddenly, we were telling people, Hey, live freely, do your thing.
But then it turns out, guys, they were wrong.
They were wrong.
And so the mask debate begins.
I want you guys to pull your hands out, shake them a little bit, reach down, pull out your mask, shovel around, get it up, and just do this.
I don't advise any movements like this in public because it could be confused with something else.
Anyway, we have this article that I want to bring up here from Daily Wire.
Wow.
You guys, this is crazy.
I know.
This is insane.
But it says the CDC says face masks with vents or valves don't prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Shocker.
Who would have thought?
I know we all would have thought, probably, realistically.
Anyway, let's get into this article for today.
So, first, we were told face masks weren't helpful in reducing the spread of the coronavirus because they would cause us to touch our face more and then spread the disease to others.
Then, we were told to wear the masks to save lives and reopen the economy.
Now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns that face masks with vents or valves don't reduce the spread of the virus, as those additions that allow the user to breathe easier can deposit more expelled respiratory droplets that can reach others.
In guidance updated late last week, the CDC added a warning about face masks with exhalation valves because God knows we wouldn't want you to breathe in these damn things, let alone breathe in real life.
You know, actually, the quickest way to stop the coronavirus is to commit suicide.
Because while you do need people to spread the virus, if a person is dead, they can't spread the virus.
So, you've heard of shutting down offices, even closing out your home to guests.
That does slow the spread, but nothing slows it better than just dying because the virus needs a living host to replicate.
And if you are not alive, then the virus can't spread.
Now, I, of course, hear slightly offensive.
We never promote or continue to encourage anyone to commit suicide as it's a terrible thing, claiming up to 50,000 lives per year, according to the CDC.
But if you're a part of the CDC, then you also might recommend people to just, I don't know, lower their brain activity and die by breathing in carbon dioxide.
That's what it's going to do down the road.
Now, now we're hearing this debate about which masks work, which I found this great corporate media video explaining to us that actually masks are scientific.
They block droplets.
This is not a debate.
Look at our infrared cameras that show science.
Science.
Are you ready for this?
Some good stuff here.
These are the masks that work, ladies and gentlemen.
Don't question them because they have a cool camera.
Researchers at Florida Atlantic University put several different masks to the test.
They looked at a bandana-style covering, a loosely folded cotton handkerchief mask, a homemade two-layered quilted cotton mask, and an over-the-counter cone-style mask.
They used a laser to detect droplets as they were coughed or sneezed out of a mannequin.
This video showing how far those droplets traveled with no covering.
The green going about eight feet.
The single-layer bandana, better than nothing, but showing the droplets still traveled pretty far, more than three and a half feet.
Even the bandana fabric will be able to stop the largest droplet sizes.
So if you use a better fabric, it will be more effective.
The loosely folded mask performed better, but the droplets still traveled more than a foot.
The best performers, the over-the-counter mask, shielding the droplets up to eight inches of spray, and taking the top spot, the homemade two-layered quilted cotton mask, droplets only traveling two and a half inches.
Masks are not 100% effective.
There's always some leakage from the sides.
Yeah, remember, guys, the thicker the mask and the less you can breathe, the more effective it is.
In fact, it helps you so much that as you're dying from breathing in your own exhalation poisonous gas, which God designed you to breathe out and not breathe in.
I don't know if a lot of you guys get headaches or different kinds of side effects with masks, but realistically speaking, we're going to find the numbers are a lot lower than what you once thought.
I'll tell you the truth here.
These are not helping as much as you think.
And I want to kind of go to this.
So we're going to go to this article here.
Apparently, according to the Washington Post, wearing a neck gator may be worse than no mask at all.
Researchers find.
So, according to this Duke University study, it says, as a number of novel coronavirus cases continue to rise nationwide, the reoccurring message for many public health experts and doctors has been simple.
Wearing masks save lives because it just does, because it does.
Because the science, even though we never really talk about the exact science, the fact that coronavirus particles are 0.14 microns and they're not really actually held predominantly in droplets.
And the particles actually do.
Get through and leak through the, the mask, and they're not really very helpful in general for viral particles.
Okay, let's just be honest.
But because I said so and the Washington POST said so, you should believe it because Amazon, we are not defenseless against covet 19.
Robert R Redfield, who's also known for corruption in skewing numbers with Hiv research director of the centers.
That's not in the article.
Centers FOR UH Disease Control AND Prevention said in july, cloth face coverings are one of the most powerful weapons we have to slow and stop the spread of the virus, particularly when used universally within a community setting.
But as face coverings have become increasingly commonplace in American life, so have questions about efficacy, and now a group of researchers from DUKE University is aiming to provide some answers.
So the article goes on to say that actually, the more breathable a mask is like this right here, a gator, not confused with an alligator but uh, something a little bit more deadly, breathing in your own carbon dioxide that covers your face is actually considered to be less helpful.
So things that just kind of have loose feelings which is basically 99 of the masks people wear that are open on the sides, people who wear beards they're basically ineffective and in many cases.
This study you can go on to look at it.
Washington POST says they're actually less effective than wearing no mask at all, according to the control group.
But damn me, if I ever listen to science, screw me.
If I ever want to be safe, why would I ever want to protect myself?
But i'll tell you what I do want to protect myself, not only uh when I was younger, during my more promiscuous days, not only during the coronavirus, which i've already gotten it while wearing a mask by the way around mask Nazis but I want to protect myself online as well, which is why I highly recommend that you guys check out an amazing UH vpn.
So a lot of you guys know that there's not much you can do to protect your data from being stolen and sold to these tech companies that hate you and they and they sell your information, they use it against you, they target you with weird ads and who knows what else they do, selling you to the Chinese government.
But Expressvpn is the number one trusted vpn in America and what they do is it allows you to hold your information and to bounce it around to servers around the world to keep your identity anonymous.
Now, what's most important about Expressvpn is, if you go to Expressvpn.com slash offensive, you can find out how to get three months free of a year subscription.
And the most beneficial part to all of this is that you can protect your identity online and you can also view uh content that's not available in your country.
So I encourage you to go on just a few minutes.
You can sign up, protect every device, your smartphone, your tablet, your computer, watch videos you can't watch in your home country but, most importantly, keep yourself safe, Please.
I don't know if fast face masks really work all the time.
I don't think they do.
The science doesn't back it up.
I hope they do, but they don't seem to be.
But I can tell you that expressvpn.com/slash offensive right now can protect you online.
So do what you know works.
Do what you know can provide for you.
Check out the links in the description.
And please do the safe thing for you and your family.
Put it on your kids' smartphones, everything else, because we're going to talk a little bit about this.
Anyway, go to expressvpn.com/slash offensive today to find out to get three months free of a year.
You won't regret it.
But guys, I told you we would keep less ads for the most part in our videos.
In the last two videos, I've had no ads because the network let me, because I care about you.
But I'll tell you what, the mask debate goes way beyond, way beyond, just way beyond safety.
It actually goes into partisanship.
Listen to Biden.
I'm going to point something out very suspicious about what he says.
And I want you to listen to the length of how long he says we should actually be wearing masks.
This is extremely important.
Equipment and testing capacity and the like.
But and I've put out a comprehensive plan over the last three months on each of these things.
But today, I want to talk about one thing very straightforward.
It doesn't have anything to do with Democrats, Republicans, or Independents.
It has to do with a simple proposition.
Every single American should be wearing a mask when they're outside for the next three months at a minimum.
Every governor.
Wow.
Joe Biden.
So I don't know, by the way, I don't know what that double Elijah was.
I've told you guys, I'm so bad at live editing my own show, but I'm trying to learn how to do it because I'm about to move into a real TV studio, just so you guys know.
There is a huge soundstage, and I'm actually moving into a real studio and I have to like be live to tape.
And so I'm trying to teach myself how to do this without any post-production or editing.
But apparently, I duplicate myself.
I'll tell you who else is crazy and not very good at talking.
It's Joe Biden.
Now, if you count the days that he said, oh, yeah, we're going to wear a mask outside for, I don't know, three months.
Oh, Muslim.
Let me count.
We are in August, September, October, November.
Oh, okay.
So we stopped wearing masks in November, which is the damn election.
It's the election.
We knew this was political from the very beginning.
We knew, I'm going to show you this article right here.
We knew this was political.
I knew this was political.
You knew this was political.
You only have to wear masks for three months until we figure out who's president.
And God knows that suddenly the vaccine will work once Joe Biden is elected and we can all go back to normal.
But if Trump is elected, oh, God, who even knows what else they'll try?
And for those of you that say they would never tear down a country, who are they?
Colonel whatever you want.
The deep state, powers at hand, the far left, those who hate you.
Would they destroy a country?
Yes, they would.
Germany is one country and they destroyed the world at least twice trying to instill their ideals, which were utopian at best, but at worst, they were extremely genocidal and fascistic.
But I'm not going to get into that.
I want to look at this.
So a lot of people are saying we're dying from the coronavirus.
Well, it turns out that in 2017, which by the way, I could show you rates from 2018 and 2019, but the most comprehensive final studies I could find were on the CDC from 2017 that finished, right?
We don't have any backup or related studies.
2.813 million people died in 2017, and similar numbers are 2018, 2019.
Okay.
That's about 200, I think about 234,000, 235,000 deaths per month on average.
Okay.
And then I went to the CDC for this year, and they have this great little chart that if you notice, it says it's from 2-1 to 8-8-20.
So I calculated this number based off the date they gave.
We've had about 1.662833, so 1.6 million deaths in the last so many months, which is about 236,000 deaths on average.
Now, that being said, including net positive immigration and normal population changes, we are living in a state where the death rate in this year is lower than 2017 in the worst pandemic in modern U.S. history, per se, according to the CDC and World Health Organization, which YouTube has let us know.
We cannot, we cannot refute, but we will refute it.
Now, I do know that due to shutdowns, there would be less car accidents, most likely, other related deaths, but also there would be a spike in deaths like suicides, which some calls to suicide hotlines have raised by 600% during this lockdown, including that most deaths are from heart disease and there's a lot of stress related to money.
But we'll see this is that if masks really saved lives, then lives would be being saved.
Let's see what Bill de Blasio of New York thinks when a Chinese, or presumably Chinese, because we're not racist here, he's Asian.
Let's just say Asian.
Not that all Asian people look Chinese or all Chinese people are the Asians, but we'll just say Asian because here at Slightly Offensive, we don't want to get anything Wong wrong.
This guy confronts Bill de Blasio on the streets of New York, complaining that the shutdown is hurting them more than the virus itself.
And let's see what the mayor has to say.
We need help.
We need more confidence.
Our merchants need more confidence.
Everybody please step up to the side.
Did you see that?
That man was almost crying, saying, look, we need more confidence.
We don't just need masks and mandates.
And a mask debate, we need more confidence from our mayor.
Well, you have videos showing that droplets are stopped by the masks, but don't show you the science that the virus itself doesn't actually get blocked by the droplets not going through, that it still goes through because it's smaller than even some of the most protective masks.
Then you get told that any masks that can help you breathe, which originally you were told you should wear, are actually not helpful.
And then you get told that the shutdowns will stop things, but then they ruin your entire life.
And you ask the mayor, and then he just goes, F off, you little B-I-T-C-H.
And this is what the government does.
The mask debate isn't a debate.
It's an authoritarian, tyrannical idea that's put to see who is subject to just following orders.
And it's not helping.
The death rates aren't higher.
It's not like masks are really lowering things.
In South Africa, where they had masks from the beginning, we don't see any difference in trends for COVID.
In places like Sweden, where they never wore masks, we don't see that they're having more deaths.
In the end, we're finding out that masks really don't work.
And the debate is actually quite simple.
But anyway, guys, thank you so much again for watching another episode of Slightly Offensive with your favorite host, me, Elijah Schaefer.
I'm headed to Milwaukee tomorrow to speak at the Better Discourse event by the DNC.
I'll let you know that I'm recording this episode very late, approximately 11 p.m. Central Time.
I'm trying to produce more episodes during a more crucial moment.
