The David Knight Show - Jesus Lookalike Does Wrestling Smackdowns Aired: 2025-04-09 Duration: 13:17 === Wrestling Churches Mock Faith (12:30) === [00:00:07] A British church has opened its doors to professional wrestling in order to attract converts. [00:00:13] Converts to what? [00:00:15] Professional wrestling? [00:00:17] This makes the people who follow Jesus looking for the loaves and fishes look really good by comparison. [00:00:23] These people are going to these abandoned churches all over Europe. [00:00:28] These beautiful structures that people put a great deal of Pride and not necessarily pride. [00:00:36] I'll say a lot of work into in order to honor God. [00:00:40] And there was a good essay by the owner of Gab, Andrew Torba, who talked about how important it is for Christians to have excellence in their work. [00:00:56] You know, we're told to not work as if we just got to, you know, do the bare minimum here. [00:01:03] As long as the boss is pleased, you know, I'm going to cut corners on the side here and this and that. [00:01:08] He says, no, you work as unto the Lord. [00:01:11] You work as if you're working for Christ himself. [00:01:14] You give your very best. [00:01:16] You give your highest. [00:01:18] And Andrew Torbis said, we can see that in the architecture that has lasted for a thousand years or whatever. [00:01:25] A lot of this stuff was almost these massive cathedrals, really multi-generational. [00:01:30] People were doing that to show their dedication to God. [00:01:34] He said, when we do work, when we do things like Bach is writing his masterpieces or whatever, we do stuff like that. [00:01:42] We should do it as if we are working for Christ. [00:01:47] And people should look at our work and say, So what is behind, what motivates somebody that does work like this? [00:01:58] Well, that's not the case anymore. [00:02:00] We have these empty shells, these buildings are not churches. [00:02:04] You know, the church that built them is dead now in the cemetery nearby, the people. [00:02:09] And so a lot of these beautiful buildings have been repurposed for nightclubs or discos or you name it, right? [00:02:17] I think Christianity All Wrong She's marketing a prosperity gospel. [00:02:46] These people are marketing an entertainment gospel, if you will. [00:02:49] But it's marketing. [00:02:51] You know, we're going to not rely on the Holy Spirit, but Madison Avenue approaches. [00:02:57] This is why we wind up with the churches that we've got. [00:03:00] And I saw this clip and it was just the most amazing thing. [00:03:06] And quite frankly, It's Jesus doing a wrestling match. [00:03:11] So they have regular wrestling matches there. [00:03:13] People go there and they watch the wrestling matches. [00:03:16] But then there's this one where Jesus goes out with the wrestlers, right? [00:03:20] I'm going to show it to you in a moment. [00:03:22] And I just want to say that when I saw this, what it reminded me of, well, my first thought is wrestling. [00:03:29] Aren't we told that we don't wrestle with flesh and blood? [00:03:33] These people are literally wrestling with flesh and blood. [00:03:39] They've lost the plot. [00:03:40] Now, we wrestle with principalities and powers and the dark forces of this world. [00:03:45] But these people are wrestling with flesh and blood. [00:03:47] They're wrestling for entertainment. [00:03:48] And so they do that. [00:03:50] And then they have this wrestling match I'm going to show you here where they have a guy who's dressed up like they think Jesus looked. [00:03:56] You know, the popular conception of Jesus. [00:03:58] And, um... [00:04:11] That was done in the Middle Ages to mock Satan. [00:04:16] That was all done as a mockery of Satan. [00:04:20] And quite frankly, this is a mockery of Jesus. [00:04:28] Ladies and gentlemen, let's He's waving his hands, and these guys are flipping around and falling on the ground. [00:04:41] Oh, he does a body slam. [00:04:42] He doesn't even touch it. [00:04:43] What is this, Buddhism? [00:04:46] This is like these martial arts guys that supposedly are using the chi and knocking people down and everything. [00:04:55] That's just blasphemy. [00:04:56] That's just mockery of Christ. [00:04:59] In the same way, medieval people mocked Satan. [00:05:04] They call themselves a wrestling church. [00:05:07] They bring blood, sweat, and tears, mostly sweat, to St. Peter's Anglican Church in northern England town of Shipley. [00:05:16] This is a New York Post report. [00:05:18] It is the creation of Gareth Thompson, a charismatic 37-year-old who says that he was saved by professional wrestling. [00:05:25] Oh, and Jesus as well. [00:05:28] Thompson says the outsized characters of scripted morality battles of pro wrestling. [00:05:34] Fit naturally with a Christian message. [00:05:37] Do they? [00:05:38] You know, I mean, we've had great allegory Christian work, you know, like Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, and both of them destroyed by Netflix and Amazon, respectively, doing their best. [00:05:53] As I pointed out yesterday, it's come out that Netflix is going to be doing the Chronicles of Narnia. [00:06:01] And they've got, as their director, the woman who inflicted Barbie movie on us. [00:06:07] And she has done a gender swap on Jesus. [00:06:11] Jesus, or the figure of Aslan and his allegory. [00:06:15] And he did it as a deliberate allegory. [00:06:17] He said so. [00:06:18] Jesus is being played by Meryl Streep as a woman. [00:06:22] And, of course, the Lord of the Rings was not a deliberate allegory. [00:06:27] He said, no, no, it wasn't. [00:06:28] But you could see it because he was so involved in his understanding of Christianity. [00:06:33] It expressed itself in the world that he made. [00:06:36] Boil it down to the basics. [00:06:45] I started seeing David and Goliath. [00:06:46] I started seeing Cain and Abel. [00:06:48] I started seeing Esau having his heritage stolen from him. [00:06:53] Did you see Jacob wrestling with... [00:06:56] With God? [00:06:58] Anyway, so I thought we could tell these stories. [00:07:01] Church attendance in the UK has been declining for decades. [00:07:03] I wonder why they don't take it seriously. [00:07:06] They found that less than half the people in England and Wales now consider themselves to be Christians. [00:07:11] Who would want to be associated with that kind of nonsense? [00:07:14] I mean, that would be embarrassing. [00:07:15] No, no, no. [00:07:16] I'm not with them. [00:07:18] This idiotic, blasphemous spectacle is there. [00:07:21] It's led churches to get creative in order to survive. [00:07:23] No, that's led the businesses. [00:07:26] They're not churches. [00:07:26] They're businesses to get creative in order to survive. [00:07:30] And that's why they're resorting to marketing. [00:07:32] That's why they're resorting to this prosperity gospel stuff. [00:07:35] Now, as Christians, we're just there to throw the seed out. [00:07:39] And we understand that it's going to be God who makes it grow. [00:07:44] That's why I guess we call it the foolishness of preaching. [00:07:48] Because we can't make this happen. [00:07:50] We just throw it out. [00:07:51] We don't know if we're throwing it to somebody who has ears to hear or not. [00:07:56] It's not a church as you would know it, he said. [00:07:59] And it's not for everybody, but it's bringing in a different group of people. [00:08:03] Yeah, it is. [00:08:04] And they're coming for different reasons. [00:08:07] Quite frankly, it's not a church that Jesus would know, right? [00:08:13] Depart from me. [00:08:14] I never knew you or this wrestling match that you're doing here. [00:08:18] But seriously, seriously, it is beyond stupidity. [00:08:23] It is absolutely idiotic. [00:08:25] Packed into chairs around the ring, erected under the vaulted ceiling of the century-old church, after a short homily and prayer from Thomas, it was time for two hours of smackdowns, body slams, and flying headbutts as fans waved giant foam fingers and hollered, [00:08:40] turn the other cheek. [00:08:42] No, they didn't do that. [00:08:44] They were saying, knock him out. [00:08:45] Make him bleed. [00:08:47] That's great Christian values there, isn't it? [00:08:50] The whole thing ought to just end. [00:08:53] First guy hits him and he says, okay. [00:08:55] He turns the other cheek and the match is over. [00:08:57] But no, they don't do that. [00:08:58] They actually get them wrestling Thompson. [00:09:02] They said, is a mix of preacher and ringmaster wearing a t-shirt that says, pray, eat, wrestle, and repeat. [00:09:09] Where's the listen part there? [00:09:11] Oh, that's missing. [00:09:13] I could tell from the fruit of all this stuff. [00:09:15] He said, I would watch Shawn Michaels and The Rock and Stone, Cole, Steve Austin, and I'd be like, I want to be like them. [00:09:24] See? It all began with his misplaced idolatry. [00:09:27] And that's his gospel. [00:09:29] You know, like Paula White. [00:09:31] She's focused on money. [00:09:32] He's focused on wrestling. [00:09:34] That's their God. [00:09:35] That's their idol. [00:09:37] It's very easy for us to do that. [00:09:39] And I talk about this because it's such an absurd extreme, right, that we look at it. [00:09:44] And we can all fall into this in different degrees. [00:09:49] That's what we have to guard against. [00:09:50] We can look at this and say, oh, I'm not like that at all. [00:09:54] Well, look at your life. [00:09:55] Examine your life. [00:09:57] Is it about... [00:09:58] Something else, and you think that you are really falling in line with this. [00:10:04] He said, people say, oh, wrestling, Christianity, they're two fake things in a fake world of their own existence, he says. [00:10:10] But my own personal experience of my Christian faith is that it's alive and living, and it's true, and the wrestling, that's good so far, right? [00:10:19] But then he fakeifies it. [00:10:22] He said, in the wrestling world, if you really believe in it, you believe that it's true, and you can suspend your disbelief. [00:10:28] Oh, so is that what you're doing with your Christianity then? [00:10:30] Yeah, he doesn't even explain that analogy right. [00:10:34] And doing that analogy, he denigrates Christianity. [00:10:38] The Christianity is real. [00:10:39] The wrestling is not. [00:10:40] He says, you suspend your disbelief because you want to get lost in it, because you want to believe in it. [00:10:49] Well, hey, you know, we want to believe in Santa Claus. [00:10:52] We can just go down that route as well, right? [00:10:55] I mean, is that really what this is about? [00:10:58] Did Paul want to believe? [00:11:01] Did he want to believe or was that something that he wasn't looking for, right? [00:11:06] That was definitely something he was not looking for. [00:11:09] Now, Jesus said, no one can come to me unless the Father draws him. [00:11:13] Draws him. [00:11:15] That word means to drag or to impel. [00:11:19] It is God who's going to bring us in to relationship. [00:11:24] And if we have If we are being impelled in that direction, if we're being drawn in that direction, it is his work. [00:11:35] And that's why it's foolishness of preaching. [00:11:37] You're not going to do this out of marketing or out of slick stuff like that. [00:11:43] This is why the church is failing. [00:11:45] This is not focused on Christ. [00:11:47] It's focused on marketing or felt needs or whatever. [00:11:52] And so we don't need any phony gimmicks. [00:11:55] We don't need any marketing. [00:11:56] What we need is to pray that God will draw people in. [00:12:00] So these people, a lot of people putting this out. [00:12:03] Jesus has gone viral in the UK. [00:12:06] No, the church has gotten sick. [00:12:09] Jesus isn't viral. [00:12:10] the church is sick. [00:12:21] The common man. === Exposing Their Secrets (00:54) === [00:12:25] They created common core to dumb down our children. [00:12:28] They created common past to track and control us. [00:12:31] Their commons project to make sure the commoners own nothing. [00:12:36] And the communist future. [00:12:39] They see the common man as simple, unsophisticated, ordinary. [00:12:43] But each of us has worth and dignity created in the image of God. [00:12:50] That is what we have in common. [00:12:52] That is what they want to take away. [00:12:55] Their most powerful weapons are isolation, deception, intimidation. [00:13:00] They desire to know everything about us while they hide everything from us. [00:13:05] It's time to turn that around and expose what they want to hide. [00:13:10] Please share the information and links you'll find at TheDavidKnightShow.com.
