[00:00:05]  How did they know it's cartel cash?
[00:00:08]  It's cash.
[00:00:10]  This is not a war on drugs.
[00:00:12]  This is a war on cash.
[00:00:13]  And Breitbart thinks this is a victory.
[00:00:17]  It's civil asset forfeiture.
[00:00:19]  It's taking this cash because the idea is that you're not allowed to have cash.
[00:00:23]  And we've seen this in varying amounts.
[00:00:25]  One of the first stories I ever saw was a black gardener who was going to fly to Florida to buy some supplies and rent a truck and fly back.
[00:00:39]  And so he had a stash of cash.
[00:00:40]  It was $9,000.
[00:00:42]  And he goes up to the counter.
[00:00:46]  And, you know, he lives a simple life.
[00:00:48]  He's a laborer and all this other kind of stuff.
[00:00:49]  So he takes his money that he's saved and he goes to pay for the ticket in cash.
[00:00:54]  So they get on the phone and they go, oh, we got a guy here paying cash for tickets, obviously.
[00:00:58]  And he's got a lot of cash in his pocket.
[00:01:00]  So, you know, they call the police on him.
[00:01:03]  And they confiscate everything.
[00:01:04]  He was 100% legit.
[00:01:06]  100% legit.
[00:01:09]  And that was one of the first civil asset forfeiture cases that I saw.
[00:01:13]  But, you know, here's a black guy with cash.
[00:01:15]  He's buying a ticket at the last minute.
[00:01:17]  It checks all the boxes.
[00:01:19]  And he's obviously a suspect.
[00:01:21]  Well, at least his money is.
[00:01:22]  We know the money was ill-gotten gained.
[00:01:24]  They couldn't prove anything on him.
[00:01:26]  They just stole his money and wouldn't give it back.
[00:01:29]  And he was, in fact, what he said he was.
[00:01:32]  A gardener.
[00:01:33]  You know, not gardener, but, you know, somebody in that type of thing.
[00:01:36]  I mean, he's going to get plants and stuff like that in a landscaping business, not gardening.
[00:01:41]  The occupants of this vehicle.
[00:01:43]  Face state charges in Texas related to cash smuggling.
[00:01:49]  Smuggling of cash?
[00:01:51]  Oh, what does that mean, even?
[00:01:54]  This is like the structured withdrawals that they came after Dennis Hastert for.
[00:02:01]  The guy who was a known pedophile, they wanted to come after him for something, so they came after him for taking out his money in a way that it wouldn't be detected.
[00:02:08]  Now they're coming after these people for carrying cash in their car in a way that it wouldn't be detected.
[00:02:13]  What are you supposed to do?
[00:02:14]  You're supposed to lay the cash out on the dashboard like some of these people with Jeeps put the ducks, you know?

[00:02:35]  It may indicate these people really are connected to the cartels, but Having cash should not be a crime.
[00:02:44]  And Breitbart is treating it as if, well, we know that this is cartel cash.

[00:02:50]  You don't know anything of the sort.
[00:02:53]  So, U.S. Border Patrol chief said, quote, another major hit to criminal enterprises.
[00:03:00]  Look, if they got a half a million dollars from these guys, that's not a major hit to them.
[00:03:06]  Come on, get real.
[00:03:08]  During the stop, authorities found more than $267,000 in cash hidden under the vehicle's back seat.
[00:03:15]  Again, anybody in their right mind, if they had $267,000 in cash, they would hide it under the back seat or somewhere.
[00:03:20]  Officials found approximately $280,000 of cash hidden throughout the vehicle.
[00:03:27]  Authorities seized the vehicle and arrested the driver on state charges of bulk cash smuggling.
[00:03:33]  That should not be a crime any more than withdrawing cash from your own bank account.
[00:03:42]  There's already been publicly declared, you know, tax declarations and all the rest of this stuff.
[00:03:47]  That should not be a crime either.
[00:03:49]  Smuggling cash?
[00:03:50]  They throw smuggling in there.
[00:03:52]  So that it's illegal, right?
[00:03:55]  You're carrying cash.
[00:03:57]  So, therefore, they call it smuggling.
