	I'm David Knight.
	Today, the House will vote to limit President Trump's war powers.
	And we've had an interesting back and forth between Mike Lee, Rand Paul, especially between the two of them, and Lindsey Graham.
	They were very irritated about the presentation that was given by the Pentagon.
	And I felt insulted by that.
	I felt we should have a debate because, you know, that's kind of what the Constitution that they swore to says.
	And so they were very upset about the way that they were lectured by the Pentagon, do not question what we are telling you.
	And so today we're going to take a look at what's going on in Iran and Iraq the day after.
	We're going to take a look at this vote and I think you're going to find it very interesting, along with some interesting information that's come out about that Ukraine airliner that was shot down with all on board loss.
	I think it was about 170 people.
	A large number of Canadians, surprisingly, on board.
	But we're going to take a look at that, what could possibly be behind that, and then the Senate impeachment trial.
	There's been a lot more talk about that now that Iran has been put on the back burner.
	We've had the Puerto Rico earthquake, many still without power.
	We had a 6.4 magnitude earthquake and the result of that on Tuesday.
	Is that at least one person's been killed, nine injured, power outage that has left a half a million people without electricity.
	And yet, in Australia, the natural disaster there, and it is a natural disaster.
	As a matter of fact, one of the news services, I think it's BBC, had an interview with a man who said, yeah, I've been fighting these fires for 53 years in Australia.
	It's something that happens all the time.
	And it is not a outlier.
	It is not due to climate change.
	As a matter of fact, we pointed out there's been at least two dozen people who have been arrested for arson.
	Some of them were Muslims, one of them Muslim teenagers, who are laughing about what they had done.
	So there is man-made aspect to this arson.
	And there have been calls in the past for Islamic terrorists to set fires to sabotage the U.S.
	and other countries.
	But there's also policies, many of them based on environmentalism, as Paul Joseph Fossum pointed out.
	There have been regulations that would prevent people from doing the types of things that would create firebreaks.
	And we have seen this exact sort of thing happen in the U.S.
	as we've seen unprecedented fires.
	When you look at what has happened right here, just south of Austin, massive fires that took out pretty much all the state parks that were planted as part of the New Deal of FDR.
	It was burned 90 some odd percent and we have seen in the The Blue Ridge Mountains around Gatlinburg, massive fires, and that is an area that is not a dry area.
	These types of things are happening.
	As I pointed out many times, I had a uncle who was a forestry professor, and he said this was going to happen decades ago.
	Decades ago.
	He said they won't allow us to remove dead wood anymore.
	They're not managing the forests.
	They're preventing stewardship in the name of environmentalism.
	And then when we went to Oregon, I talked to a logger who had lost his entire life savings.
	He had gradually been buying land that he was gradually going to log, and wildfires that spilled over from public areas, just as they did here in Texas, as they did in North Carolina, as they did in Oregon, destroyed his life savings.
	Did a report on it, talked about how it was like storing containers of gasoline on the land, so that once a fire happened, whether it was natural or arson, once that happened, leaving that dead wood on the ground, which is their new policy, turned it into an explosion.

	It's Thursday, January the 9th, year of our Lord.
	I'm David Knight, your host.
	Today we have, it looks like, the House is going to start talking about limitations on what can be done in Iran.
	And of course there were things that were added to the NDAA, which passed back in December, that would have put restrictions on any escalation They're in Iran, but those were removed, and now they're talking about putting them back.
	The House is talking about doing that.
	They will do that as a slap in the face to President Trump, although I think it's the right thing to do.
	I think it should be very difficult to go to war.
	It should not be our default position to go to war.
	The decision should not rest with one individual.
	The decision to go to war under the Constitution It's something that we should give a deliberate thought to.
	Once it happens, then of course, yes, you do have to have an executive, a commander-in-chief who is going to prosecute that war.
	That can't be done by committee, but it better be done by debate before we get into a debate, into a war like that.
	And so now we have a debate about the debate.
	A debate between Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee.
	First of all, we had Mike Lee come out after the briefing yesterday.
	He said, it was the worst briefing I've seen on a military issue.
	Now, the people who are briefing him, that's understandable, of course, because the people who are briefing him We're Defense Secretary Mark Esper, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and the Joint Chief of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley.
	And if you've been following the careers of these people, of course we have Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who I like to call the liar because he calls himself a liar.
	He talks, and we played the clip just again yesterday, When he was at West Point, we had a culture, we don't lie, we don't cheat, we don't steal, we don't tolerate people who do it.
	But at the CIA, we have classes on that, and we do all of those things.
	And he laughs about it.
	So if you laugh about lying and deceiving people, don't expect me to take you seriously on any issue.
	And he's been caught lying over and over again, trying to push us into this Iran war, where they've been chest-bumping the Iranians now for a couple of years.
	Then, of course, Defense Secretary Mark Esper, a classmate of Mike Pompeo at West Point, but essentially a defense contractor who owes his job to Pompeo.
	So we could just call him the defense contractor.
	We have Mike Pompeo, who is a liar.
	Then we have Gina Haspel, who is the torturer and liar.
	She is one who created the lies about weapons of mass destruction to get us involved in the Iraq War.
	She did that as a product of torture.
	She then destroyed all the evidence, including videos.
	That would have put an end, I think, to the discussion as to whether or not it was torture or enhanced interrogation.
	So Gina Haspel destroyed that information.
	She is now our CIA director.
	President Trump is not getting very good people around him, is he?
	And then finally we have the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley, who has had a very interesting back-and-forth Earlier this week, when it came to the letter, the letter that said, yes, we will, in response to the Iraqi parliament, yes, we will be leaving.
	And his story had about five or six different stories about that.
	And he had another statement yesterday about the missile attacks that we'll take a look at.
	But let's focus here for a moment.
	on this particular briefing.
	So we have a briefing from the defense contractor, the liar, the torture liar, and the paper pusher, Mark Milley, General Mark Milley.
	Lee said the officials warned that Congress would embolden Iran if lawmakers actually debated Trump's war powers.
	Don't have any debate about this.
	Just do what we tell you to.
	He said, I find this to be insulting and demeaning, said Senator Lee, to the office that each of the 100 senators in this building happens to hold.
	I find it insulting and demeaning to the Constitution of the United States as well.
	Rand Paul added that he found the briefing was, quote, less than satisfying.
	Rand Paul, always the understatement.
	He knocked the administration for using the 2002 war authorization as the basis for last week's airstrike against Soleimani.
	He said, I see no way in the world that you could logically argue That an authorization to have war with Saddam Hussein has anything to do with having war with the people currently in Iraq.
	And he said that using the 2002 authorization to justify killing Soleimani was absurd and an insult.
	He said, let's have the debate.
	Let's have some senators stand up.
	He said, today?
	Everyone, said Lee, today everyone, every time they pull a stunt like this, I'm willing to consider and introduce any and every War Powers Act resolution.
	And of course there has been one introduced by Tim Kaine of Virginia, Hillary Clinton's running mate.
	She's trying to position herself.
	And these other people who supported her as if she didn't call multiple times for war against Iran, as if she didn't set Libya on fire, and anybody else who got in her way.
	It's absolutely amazing to try to reinvent Hillary Clinton as a peacemaker.
	Nevertheless, Tim Kaine has introduced a resolution that would force Trump to end hostilities against Iran unless he gets authorization from Congress.
	I agree with that, quite frankly.
	I agree with the Constitution.
	And if they want to get rid of the idea that Congress declares war, they need to amend the Constitution.
	Democrats need four votes from the GOP to pass a resolution.
	And Lee said, I can say that after that briefing That briefing is what changed my mind.
	I'm now going to support it.
	I walked into the briefing undecided.
	I walked out of the briefing decided specifically because of what happened in that briefing.
	And I want to play a video clip for you of Rand Paul.
	He was talking about comments that were made by Lindsey Graham responding to Lindsey Graham's comments.
	Let's play that clip, video clip number one.
	They're overreacting, quite frankly.
	Go debate all you want to.
	I'm going to debate you.
	Trust me, I'm going to let people know that at this moment in time, to play this game with a War Powers Act, which I think is unconstitutional, is that whether you mean to or not, you're empowering the enemy.
	I know you don't mean to, but we live in the real world here.
	So debate all you want.
	This is a constitutional democracy, but get ready for a lively debate.
	You heard what he said.
	He's accusing you and Senator Lee of empowering the enemy, his words, empowering the enemy by supporting this War Powers resolution.
	I need your response.
	You know, I think it's sad when people have this fake sort of drape of patriotism and anybody that disagrees with them is not a patriot.
	Look, I love my country.
	I have many family members who have served in the military and continue to serve in the military.
	You know, I love my country as much as the next guy, but for him to insult and say that somehow we're not as patriotic as he is, he hasn't even read the history of the Constitution.
	The Constitution specifically says that the war-making power resides in Congress.
	He believes in this unitary theory of the executive that presidents can do whatever they want.
	The only way you can stop them is by defunding a war.
	That's not what our Founding Fathers said.
	It's not what the Constitution says.
	And he insults the Constitution, our Founding Fathers, and what we do stand for in this Republic by making light of it and accusing people of lacking patriotism.
	I think that's a low gutter type of response.
	Yeah, absolutely.
	Absolutely, Rand Paul is right.
	As a matter of fact, you heard that clip that they played of Graham.
	They begin it by saying, I think they're overreacting, quite frankly.
	Just before that, he said, they're libertarians.
	I think they're overreacting, quite frankly.
	That's the full quote.
	Fox News, which put that together with the interview of Rand Paul, cut out their libertarians.
	Rand Paul is exactly right.
	That is what the Constitution says.
	This is not, they intend it as a slap at President Trump.
	And it would have been nice if they would have done that at some point in time when Obama was adding war after war, when Obama was continuing the wars of George W. Bush.
	Obama was the first president who was at war his entire eight years.
	We have never been at war as long as we have.
	We've never had a president who was Roosevelt.
	And so this is unprecedented, but now they're noticing because of President Trump.
	But it is the right thing to do, and we'll talk more about that when we come back.

	Could they not hit the broadside of a barn or military base?
	Well, today we have a lot more information about those raids and, you know, fortunately, as I said yesterday, I said either way, if they're so incompetent that they can't hit anything and kill anybody, we don't really need to push this further, do we?
	Or, if they were pulling a punch and they signaled that through their statements on social media, then we ought to pull back as well.
	Let's not rush into this war.
	fortunately and we can all be very grateful and thankful that President Trump took that and and pulled back and did not and is has de-escalated. We now have a lot of reports and of course we had some reports yesterday I mentioned it that the Iraqis said that they had been notified prior to the attack and that they had passed that on to the US as well. Now we have more indications
	more specific indications.
	However, they are coming from unnamed U.S.
	officials.
	I haven't seen anybody's name officially attached to this.
	Of course, they wouldn't.
	That would be essentially career suicide, I guess.
	But Daily Mail is pointing out that U.S.
	officials said that they had three hours warning.
	three hours warning before the iranian missile strikes they say that iran took the u s off about the attacks via european embassy as well besides the iraqi uh... the officials say the iranians also ensure their plans were easily detectable the u s via satellites and eavesdropping uh... well not that they had to do anything to make it easily observable by satellites and eavesdropping uh... but uh... i don't know what else you do about it uh...
	that to make it any more obvious because of course the US is is eavesdropping and watching everything in that area like a hawk.
	Top U.S.
	military officer, however, as you pointed out, the same guy who had the debacle earlier this week with the letter, said that Iran's missile attack intended to kill U.S.
	personnel at the al-Assad base.
	Army General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, you know, the guy who showed up yesterday and really thoroughly pissed off Mike Lee and Rand Paul, telling them, shut up, do what we say, don't question us, don't debate the war.
	He said earlier that Iran's missile attack was intended to kill U.S.
	personnel.
	Iraqi Prime Minister Abdul Mahdi had earlier revealed that Iran had given him a tip-off about the missile strikes in which they were able to pass on and give troops time to seek shelter in bunkers.
	Mahdi said that Iran did not give specific locations to him, but said they would only target locations where U.S.
	forces were present.
	As the missiles were raining down, he said he got a call from Washington to say they already knew about the assault.
	Thanks, we already knew about it.
	We have a statement from General Milley who said, points of impact were close enough to personnel and equipment and so on and so forth.
	I believe, based on what I saw, what I know, is that they were intended to cause structural damage, destroy vehicles, equipment and aircraft and to kill personnel.
	Now this is the guy who earlier in the week, you know we had the letter that came out, He and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper had their press conference and just think about how this evolved over a period of time.
	I didn't talk about this yesterday or the day before actually.
	This letter that it was written in response to the Iraqi Parliament saying we would like for the U.S.
	to withdraw.
	It's been long enough now or whatever.
	And there was a letter that was drafted that said, we are preparing to do exactly that, to comply with your request.
	When that was put out, once the letter was posted online, there was a scramble at the Pentagon, the White House, Capitol Hill, elected officials, policy makers, military advisors, all these different people, journalists.
	What's going on?
	And so we had a lot of different stories coming out of the Pentagon bureaucracy from this same General Milley and from Defense Secretary Esper.
	Within a matter of hours, writes Zero Hedge, it went from authentic to phony to part of an effort to sow active disinformation.
	And then finally, at the confused press briefing by General Milley and Defense Secretary Mark Esper, It was an unauthorized draft, but an honest mistake.
	And remember, their statements were so contradictory, so confused at the press conference that after they left, the press was like, you know, what's going on?
	They came back and then clarified it and said it was an honest mistake.
	They have had egg on their face from lying to us all week.
	And so the question is, was this something that was an attempt to kill people, or was it not?
	Was it incompetence?
	Scott Ritter has a piece on RT.
	Now, Scott Ritter is a former U.S.
	Marine Corps intelligence officer.
	He served with General Schwarzkopf in the Gulf War, the first one.
	Then he was a U.N.' 's weapons inspector from 91 to 98, and this is his take on it.
	He said Tehran did warn Iraq to spare U.S.
	soldiers, and now we've had reports that it went through a European embassy as well, three hours before.
	They were very concern they did not want to escalate this but they did want to be seen to be doing something and this is what uh... scott ridder says uh... in the hours of course of following the attack they tweeted out we do not seek escalation or war but we will defend ourselves against any aggression he said the most important aspect of iran's action was ways missiles were targeted for years now iran has made significant strides in terms of reliability range and accuracy
	of their ballistic missiles Gone are the days when their arsenal was simply Soviet-era Scud missiles.
	This is the first time these weapons had been used against the U.S.
	From the U.S.
	perspective, the results were sobering.
	It resulted in no casualties among U.S.-Iraqi or coalition forces.
	However, It was actually Tehran's way of showing the accuracy of their ballistic missiles.
	And if you look at those pictures, you can see that there's a row of buildings and, for example, I think there's like four buildings in one particular picture.
	And you can see one of those four buildings was taken out dead center.
	He said, commercial satellite images show the Iranian missiles struck buildings containing equipment with precision previously only thought by advanced powers such as US, NATO, Russia and China.
	They fired 17 missiles at al-Assad, 15 hit their targets, two failed to detonate.
	They also fired five additional missiles at the U.S.
	consulate in Erbil.
	U.S.
	commanders on the ground said that it appeared Iran deliberately avoided striking the consulate, but in doing so, sending a clear message that had it wanted to, the consulate would have been destroyed.
	So that's the take of a U.S.
	Marine intelligence officer who worked with Schwarzkopf, who was a U.N.' 's weapons inspector for many years.
	His belief was that it was intended to show that they had better capabilities than we thought, but also to show that they were pulling a punch.
	We're going to be right back and we're going to talk about what happened with the plane in Ukraine, however.
	Interesting series of events developing around the Ukrainian airliner that, at that same time, happened to crash, killing all 170 people on board.

	This is just crazy.
	And the Congo's had the biggest outbreaks of Ebola ever since they started Giving the vaccine there in the last few years.
	Oh, and of course, opening the borders up here and letting people in unfettered.

	We have a very unusual set of circumstances that happened around the Ukrainian airliner crash in Iran, as the missiles were being fired at the American military base.
	I just talked about what was behind that, and the fact that the assessment of Scott Ritter, a US Marine, working on intelligence, working as a weapons inspector, part of a Schwarzkopf staff, It said that it appears that they have some very accurate missiles, but now it appears that maybe everybody is asking questions about the Ukrainian airliner that crashed.
	It's very coincidental, the timing of it, and it's also very interesting that Iran is blocking the black box as part of that investigation.
	The plane caught fire mid-air and attempted to turn around said Iran and initially we saw statements coming out of Ukraine saying it was an engine problem and now they have deleted that and said cause is not really known.
	Iranian investigators confirmed that no distress calls or messages received from the pilot before the plane hit the ground.
	So, if it had caught fire, and they were attempting to turn around, you would expect to hear something like that.
	Ukraine had initially issued a statement claiming the crash was due to an engine fire, and as I said, later the government of Ukraine retracted that.
	They urged the public, however, against speculating and spreading conspiracy theories.
	But, you know, when you conceal information Then people start to ask questions.
	I mean, a conspiracy theory is what every investigator does.
	You know, Scotland Yard, you have Inspector Lestrade.
	And he starts to question, you know, people's motivations.
	He starts to look at the facts and he starts to, you know, that's called investigation.
	It's called deductive reasoning.
	But of course the FBI and other governments label it a conspiracy theory because they don't want you questioning what they have to say, which is exactly what The people at the Pentagon and the CIA and Pompeo did yesterday that got Mike Lee and Rand Paul so upset.
	Don't question us!
	You know, they're just libertarians with conspiracy theories, right?
	Nevertheless, getting back to this, five security sources told Reuters the initial assessment of Western intelligence agencies was that the aircraft had suffered from a mechanical malfunction.
	But this was an aircraft, points out the Ukrainian airline, See, this is a problem.
	If they're going to pin it on a malfunction, you've got the Ukrainian airline that is operating the plane, you have Boeing who built the plane, and they're going to say, are you going to blame this on us?
	Well, we want to see some proof if you're going to blame this on us.
	And so the Ukrainian airline pointed out that this was only three years old, That it had undergone maintenance checks just two days ago.
	As a matter of fact, they said in a statement, the plane was in excellent condition, quote, one of their best planes.
	You wouldn't want to say that if you weren't too confident of that, right?
	That's one of our best planes.
	The other one's in a lot worse shape.
	But they said it had undergone maintenance just two days earlier.
	They said it was in excellent condition before its last flight from Tehran to Kiev.
	More evidence, meanwhile, has emerged to suggest that the jet was a victim of Iran's missile defense system.
	Theories have been multiplying.
	The Ukrainian embassy in Tehran amended an earlier statement on its website that had ruled out terrorism and said it said no comment on possible causes.
	As we look further into this, the Ukrainian airline flight director Even ruled out pilot error as a potential cause of the crash, explaining that the ill-fated flight was manned by a reinforced crew.
	All of this, writes Zero Hedge, makes Iran's rumored decision not to fork over black box data even more suspicious.
	Was the plane struck by an Iranian missile?
	The timing seems very suspicious, considering that it happened at the same time they were lobbying missiles at an American base in Iraq.
	And then they finally say to us, if the plane just happened to crash over Iran, just as the country was firing off missiles, well, that certainly would be one hell of a coincidence, wouldn't it?
	And I want to just point out that Iran itself, as I mentioned the other day, was the victim of an accidental shoot-down.
	of a airliner, Flight 290.
	It was accidentally shot down in the 90s by the U.S., by a cruise missile ship.
	And the U.S.
	eventually compensated the people who died on there, giving $300,000 to every wage earner, $150,000 to every non-wage earner, but never admitting that they were at fault.
	And there were 60-some-odd children.
	I mentioned that.
	Because, you know, Iran accepted that and accepted that compensation.
	And I've talked about that many times because of Flight 800.
	Flight 800, which was close to Long Island, was shot down, many of us believe, by a missile.
	As a matter of fact, we've had some very good documentaries exposing that.
	We had the FBI, on the other hand, confiscate flight recorders, confiscate information, and so forth, doing essentially a cover-up And the airline going along with it because it was the American government.
	Because it all happened within our sphere.
	That was essentially covered up.
	Because this was between two different countries.
	It didn't happen that way with flight 290.
	This on the other hand may be covered up.
	Because it happens all within Iran.
	But we'll see, because it also involves Ukraine and other people who are not willing to take a hit in case it was an accidental missile fire by Tehran.
	We'll see what happens with it.
	Nevertheless, a group of airspace experts said yesterday that It was likely shot out of the sky, said that it looked like it was a result of a shoot-down.
	We would recommend the starting assumption to be that this was a shoot-down event, similar to MH17, until there is clear evidence to the contrary.
	And they highlighted photos of the crash site that they said show obvious projectile holes in the fuselage and the wing section.
	In other words, kind of like Flight 800.
	So we will see what happens with that.
	Nevertheless, it's interesting, but it is a side story to all of this.
	I don't think it was deliberately shot down by anybody.
	It looks like another case of an accidental shoot-down and a subsequent cover-up.
	Anne Coulter, meanwhile, in talking about what we have seen happen over the last couple of days, had a very interesting comment.
	Her take on all of this was, while listening to news reports of what a monstrous threat Iran is, I've been racking my brain to think of a single terrorist attack in this country committed by an Iranian.
	If there is one, now would be a good time to mention it, but I can't find any.
	I can't also find any child rapes or Medicare frauds or heroin dealing or general anti-social behavior making life in America unpleasant these days.
	Even the 9-11 report that could tie Iran to the attacks, only on the thin reed that several of the hijackers, and I would point out the Saudi hijackers, Passing through Iran on their way to the U.S.
	where our customs officials welcomed all 19 of them with open arms.
	And again, I do not believe that three buildings collapsed in their footprint immediately after being hit by two planes.
	Two planes, three buildings.
	That was an obvious lie and it was absolutely shameful.
	That Mike Pence would try to do that.
	Anyway, she goes on to say sarcastically, well, 13 of the 19 terrorists have even been given Florida driver's licenses.
	So if we're going to go back to 9-11, maybe Trump should consider dropping a drone on Jeb Bush.
	I would consider maybe he should also fire a Reaper drone at the grave of John McCain, because he was the one who was pushing ISIS more so than Soleimani.
	To get killed by an Iranian, or even be harassed by an Iranian, you have to go to the Middle East.
	Then Ann Coulter points out, Mexican heroin killed at least 14,000 Americans last year.
	Mexican fentanyl and methamphetamine killed about 10,000 to 14,000.
	Hispanic drunk drivers, about 3,000 Americans.
	So compare that to those two.

	Ann Coulter had an interesting take on what's going on.
	She pointed out how much more dangerous the situation in Mexico is.
	And it is!
	She looked at the number of drug deaths and people killed by illegal aliens who've come across the border without being stopped, the violent crimes committed against individuals, drunk driving and so forth, which is actually quite high, disproportionately for the people who are illegally immigrating into the country.
	Nevertheless, she comes up and says, well, by conservative estimates, it's 30,000 people Killed by illegal aliens coming from Mexico.
	The number of people killed in our country by Iranians every year?
	Zero that I know of.
	Good point.
	Her point is to be killed by an Iranian, she says, or even harassed by an Iranian.
	You have to go to the Middle East.
	Same point, essentially, that Pat Buchanan made.
	He said, you know, they want us to leave.
	Why don't we take that?
	Why doesn't President Trump take that offer?
	See, if he really wanted to bring the troops home, that would have been a perfect opportunity.
	He could have said, you know, they want us to come home.
	We want to come home.
	It's in our best interest.
	We've been there too long.
	They lied to get us there.
	All those were things that candidate Trump had said, and even President Trump has said from time to time.
	Would have been a perfect opportunity.
	Instead, President Trump angrily responded, threatening sanctions like they'd never seen before.
	But Pat Buchanan essentially said the same thing.
	He said, perhaps rather than sending more troops into Iraq and Kuwait to defend the U.S.
	troops that are already there, we should accede to the local nationalist demands and start bringing our own troops home.
	Let the Iranians, the Iraqis, the Libyans, the Syrians, the Yemenis, and the Afghans settle their disputes, which is what Ronald Reagan did.
	Exactly what he did.
	And that's the point that Ann Coulter was making.
	We need to protect our border.

	As a matter of fact, it's not just the violence that's committed in America by the drug cartels
	The drugs that are there, or the violent crimes committed in terms of rapes and murders and so forth, is what you can see with the warfare between the drug cartels in Mexico, the violence that is there, and how that is increasingly coming closer to the border and is going to eventually spill over in a big way in this country.
	And there literally are 30,000 by the most conservative estimates.
	30,000 people being killed in Mexico between these drug cartels warring with each other.
	And I look at this and I say, we understand, don't we, that this war on drugs is a UN war?

	agenda.
	Yes, we called it our War on Drugs, but it was actually their legislation, their schedules, their drugs and schedules 1 through 4, past 10 years before, just like the U.N.
	2030 Agenda.
	It was done 10 years earlier, 1961-1971.
	Richard Nixon called it his War on Drugs.
	You know, when we look at A war on drugs, an inanimate object.
	We look at war on terror, a tactic.
	Both of those come together, as I pointed out before, at the border.
	And this border war that is now going to be escalating, the thing we have to be careful about is that we don't beg for more biometric surveillance That we don't beg for E-Verify, so we have to beg and get permission from Washington even to get a job as an American citizen?
	Do you think that the terrorists or the illegal aliens are going to beg for permission?
	No, it'll happen to you.
	It's just like gun control.
	Gun control isn't about controlling guns.
	It's about controlling people.
	And these wars that we have, the war on drugs, the war on terror, And the coming border war.
	Those are about controlling you, American citizens.
	And you better be careful what you ask for, what you beg for.

	Speaking of our masters in Washington, we've had President Trump tweet out this morning, breaking news, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals just reversed a lower court decision, gave us the go-ahead to build one of the largest sections of the desperately needed southern border wall, four billion dollars.
	President Trump said the entire wall is under construction or getting ready to start.
	Well that's good, I think.
	You know, one of the things that we could do that I believe would impact our freedoms the least would be a wall.
	It would keep us from, keep these people from gaming the legal system coming in.
	But when we look at this, whether you agree with the policy or not, how could anyone, how could anyone, especially a judge, say that the President doesn't have the authority to protect our border?
	By whatever means he feels is necessary.
	They have the authority and they're going to have a vote on this in the Senate to try to pull back this authority.
	President Trump, he can send as many troops as he wants to Iraq, to Iran, to Syria, to Afghanistan, any country that he wants, no problem.
	They demand that he protect the Kurds and protect the border between Syria and Turkey.
	And yet they claim that he has no ability, including the Pentagon bureaucracy, saying, oh, you can't do anything to protect the U.S.
	border.
	That's the absurdity that we have here.
	And as happy as I am that he now has permission, I'm not happy about that.
	And this is not something that is a criticism of President Trump.
	This is, every president has been doing this, both parties, for a long time.
	The real enemy of our republic, folks, It's not Soleimani, it's not Iran, it's judicial supremacy.
	That idea has destroyed the Constitution and will destroy everything about this country.
	And so to paraphrase Cato the Elder, judicial supremacy must be destroyed.
	It must be destroyed.
	We cannot allow every judge to have veto power over the President's policies.
	When it is clearly delegated to him to protect the border, to set immigration policy and so forth.
	Even to the extent, telling President Trump that he can't undo the executive orders of a previous president on saying we're not going to enforce immigration law.
	That's what DACA was.
	It was deferred action.
	In other words, we're not going to enforce the law, said Obama's Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
	And then you have judges saying, well, that was it.
	That's done.
	You can't undo that.
	We have to get past the idea that the Supreme Court can rule on things for which the federal government has no authority under the 9th and 10th Amendment, let alone the Supreme Court.
	But anyway, they're going to move on with this now.
	Of course, it will be appealed, I'm sure, to the Supreme Court, but President Trump won a victory at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
	Unfortunately, the real victory is going to come when we have officials at the state and local level, or maybe even someday a president, who will say the Supreme Court doesn't have final say-so on everything.

	But I would suggest that if he wants to get rid of plastic, then perhaps he ought to pass a constitutional amendment.
	Because you see, the federal government doesn't have any authority to do that.
	They didn't have any authority to prohibit alcohol.
	But a lot of people, who are well-meaning but misguided, thought that they could stop alcohol abuse by prohibiting it.
	And so they passed the 18th Amendment.
	After a few years of watching how this had backfired on them, the unintended consequences, they passed the 21st Amendment.
	Very easy to remember those.
	18, 21, you know, kind of like the drinking ages.
	So they passed the 21st Amendment to legalize it again.
	Why?
	Because they had the 9th and 10th Amendment that made it very clear they didn't have the authority to prohibit alcohol.
	Now today, we have a poll that came out from Pew Research in September.
	Nearly 90% of Americans now are in favor of legalizing marijuana for recreational use. 90%.
	You know, it's kind of interesting, that 90% number, because we have 91% of the counties in Virginia have risen up against gun prohibition.
	90% of people don't like marijuana prohibition.
	I think that this is a losing strategy for Joe Biden.
	I think you probably could find more than 90% of the people who don't want plastic prohibition.
	Maybe it'd be kind of cool if we tried the Constitution for once.
	We're going to talk more about this prohibition mentality in a particular case here in Texas when we come back.

	It is the peaceful alternative when the federal government oversteps its authority.
	You nullify it.
	You say you don't have any authority to prohibit marijuana.
	And even Jeff Sessions, our reefer madness attorney general, as much as he hated marijuana, and look I'm not You know, I don't recommend people use alcohol or marijuana for recreational purposes.
	I don't think anybody ought to stop anybody from having access to safe and effective medication.
	And that is also not something that the government has the authority to decide for us.
	There is no authority for the DEA and there is no authority for the FDA under the Constitution.
	You can have state legislation that looks at the safety of food, the safety of drugs.
	You can have state inspectors, as a matter of fact, they're the ones who do that on a regular basis.
	But the federal government has no authority to do that and should not have any authority to do that, let alone prohibit things or to turn it into a scenario where everything is prohibited unless expressly permitted.
	That is what the FDA does.
	The FDA says you can't have this unless we tell you it's okay.
	And so every medicine is essentially a government-granted privilege instead of having a right to treat yourself.
	Think about that when you hear these Democrats talking about how it's my body, my choice.
	They clearly don't believe that.
	They want to mandate big pharmaceutical vaccines for you without your permission and for your children.
	They don't believe your body, your choice.
	They don't believe that when it comes to stem cells either.
	As a matter of fact, we've got an article here in Texas pushing against stem cells because that's, you know, what the establishment press does.
	Just like they have, follows the template exactly as to what they did with medical marijuana.
	Well, we got a lot of anecdotes out here about how effective medical marijuana is.
	You know, we got people who are saying that they have uncontrollable seizures and they can't get any of the medication from big pharmaceutical companies, no matter how dangerous, no matter how many side effects, no matter how expensive.
	None of it works.
	But, you know, they can smoke pot and it stops the seizures.
	They say, we don't care.
	It's illegal.
	We're not going to let you have it.
	That kind of arrogance.
	It really needs to go out of style, doesn't it?
	Are you sick of that?
	I am sick to death of it, and I'm sick to death of a corrupt FDA working with giant corporations to let people die because they won't allow them to have natural, safe and effective supplements, or even to make the decisions themselves about how they're going to treat their bodies.
	If you don't own your body, you are a slave to the state.
	That really is all the arguments that they make that they call pro-choice for abortion.
	It really does apply to the issues of medical marijuana, to stem cells, to these other issues, but they won't make those arguments because that's not their agenda.
	They don't care about women's health.
	They don't care about men's health.
	They don't care about children's health.
	They care about killing babies.
	And they call that pro-choice.
	There is not any other issue, not any other issue that affects your life that the Democrats want you to have a choice in, and that includes plastic bags that Mr. Plastic Surgery himself, Joe Biden, wants to ban.
	So let's take a look at how this is, even though we've got 90% of Americans say we want to just outright legalize marijuana.
	We had a case Reported by Texas Tribune, a man who spent a month in jail because they accused him of carrying 3,350 pounds of marijuana, but it was hemp.
	And hemp is legal, even here in Texas.
	The Texas Department of Public Safety, a trooper, arrested a driver who the agency claimed was hauling more than a ton, it'd be a ton and a half, a little bit more than a ton and a half, of marijuana through the state near Amarillo.
	Mr. Gonzalez was jailed for nearly a month on federal charges and the plant material was seized.
	That's right.
	It is a plant material.
	God created hemp.
	God created marijuana.
	And we're locking people up for plants that God created.
	But we let big pharmaceutical companies sell opioids to people, right?
	Because the important thing is how many profits it creates for these people.
	Anyway, he was jailed for nearly a month on federal charges, but last week the 39-year-old was released from jail.
	His case was dismissed and his cargo was returned.
	In legalizing hemp production last year, Texas lawmakers narrowed the definition of marijuana from the cannabis plant To cannabis that has more than 0.3% THC.
	That's a very small percentage of THC.
	And of course, THC is the ingredient that gets you high.
	Any cannabis with less than that amount of THC is ruled to be hemp.
	Which, by the way, George Washington and other planners grew.
	We had the Navy doing hemp for victory films during World War II because they used it for rope, they used it for clothing, they used it for a lot of different things.
	So, if it has less than 0.3%, Texas law says that it is hemp.
	If it's got less than 0.3% THC.
	So, that is also used, by the way, in CBD oil.
	After he was pulled over, Gonzalez showed the trooper a lab report indicating that the cargo met the state's new legal definition of hemp.
	And they included this report in the article.
	Scroll down to that report.
	This is from Santa Cruz, California.
	A very detailed lab analysis from SC Labs.
	Nevertheless, he was arrested despite the report.
	Texas Hemp Law says that the state policy is not to interfere with interstate commerce of hemp.
	It also says that law enforcement cannot seize cannabis, cannot arrest anyone without probable cause that the substance is marijuana and not hemp.
	They had probable cause to know that it was hemp and not marijuana because of that report there.
	But, you know, they said, oh, we'll take him anyway.
	Nevertheless, he was arrested.
	He had actually already been arrested on this trip In Arizona, he had spent one night in jail there while they checked out the cargo and then said, yeah, that lab report is right.
	It really is hemp.
	It's not marijuana.
	And they let him go.
	But in Texas, he spent a month in the Randall County Jail in the custody of U.S.
	Federal Marshals.
	This is total insanity, folks.
	And this kind of insanity that we're seeing with marijuana Is even more insane when it comes to something like stem cell treatment.
	Because that is something that is simply medical.
	It is using, in many cases, your own stem cells and only your own stem cells.
	It is a medical procedure.
	The government has never pretended to regulate a biologic in the past.
	Never pretended that they had the authority to do that.
	They've pretended they've got the authority to do a lot of things, you know, like prohibit marijuana, which they don't have.
	In which they have been shut down and we need to have state legislatures come out and say you're not going to take stem cell treatment away from us.

	You probably saw the article on the Drudge Report from the BBC.
	Medications that change who we are.
	They change who we are.
	And they, in this article, they talk about how a lot of ordinary medications, most of them prescription, but some of them even over-the-counter, have the ability to, as they put it, produce a sinister transformation.
	Talking about how even something like acetaminophen can change somebody's empathy.
	They talk about the mechanism of how this works, but certainly things that affect your serotonin as SSRIs do.
	We have talked many, many times about the effects of SSRIs.
	Suicide pills.
	Murder-suicide pills.
	Tied over and over again.
	To cases of murder, suicide, mass shootings, people killing their children, people in a state where they do not understand what's going on.
	The case when I talked to the lady who curates a lot of these at SSRIstories.net.
	You should go there and look at that if you or somebody that you know are on SSRIs.
	Because one of the key issues with it is if you change, rapidly change the dosage.
	You know, you might be getting along okay on a particular dosage, but if you decide because maybe you've got some other ancillary side effects or you just want to get off the medication, I don't know if it's expensive or not.
	I've never been on it or had any family members who have been prescribed antidepressants like SSRIs.
	I do know that they're a common thread in all these shootings, more so than any particular type of gun.
	It is the psychological drugs that are there.

	When you would go to school, take your gun to school and use it to train at school.
	Yeah, they used to be allowed, used to be able to take rifles with you if you're on a hunting trip and just check them into the coat rack there on the plane.

	And so even though we put all these different restrictions on it, what we have not done is put any restrictions or even any monitoring on SSRIs and any information about that is ridiculed, mocked, kept away from the public for the most part.
	One of the stories that the lady that I interviewed who runs SSRIstories.net talked about Was a young boy who was in high school.
	Teenager.
	And his medication levels changed.
	And he went to a high school classroom and he had a rifle with him that he was alternately pointing at the class and then back to himself and then at the class again and so forth.
	They eventually were able to get that away from him.
	After he recovered from the incident, he had no memory of what had happened.
	And this frequently takes place.
	As she pointed out, it's kind of like if you think about a diver who goes down and stays at a particular depth, right?
	You have to be careful as to how quickly you surface or you'll get the bends.
	You know, when you go to a depth, it begins to dissolve nitrogen into your bloodstream.
	And if you don't bleed that off at a slow rate, that nitrogen will bubble out very quickly and you'll get the bends, which can be life-threatening.
	And that is exactly what happens with SSRIs.
	If you change the dosage, if you increase it or decrease it rapidly, that will happen.
	So, if you're on that, if you're concerned about the effects of that, you need to be very, very, very slow in terms of the way you change things.
	But this article, again, talking about not just SSRIs and antidepressants, but even talking about common antibiotics and painkillers.
	And how they have the potential to make radical personality changes.
	A very long article about that.
	And yet, at the same time, we see Texas Monthly here.
	How unproven stem cell therapies are costing desperate patients.
	They have the audacity to talk about the cost of stem cells.
	And they start out By talking about an elderly lady, 89 years old, who had severe arthritis.
	She stayed in pain from the time she got up until the time she went to bed.
	And it just kept getting worse.
	Thought she was out of options because the pharmaceutical drugs were not working on the pain.
	And then she found out about stem cells.
	And so she flew to a clinic and had some stem cell injections.
	She said the stem cells worked almost miraculously.
	And then later on, she evidently had some side effects.
	Now, whether or not it was due to the stem cells, or the way they were administered, or whether it was due to something else that had to do with her being 89 years old.
	They don't really go into that, into the article.
	They imply that it was the stem cells.
	And then they talk about the cost.
	Oh, they were very expensive.
	$17,000, she said, for a course of injections.
	Look, I have family members who have had stem cell treatment from their own stem cells and their own fat, and it doesn't cost $17,000.
	They want to make it more expensive.
	That's why they're using the FDA to prohibit it.
	They actually go in and try to conflate this with aborted embryos in this article, and that Amazingly, and hypocritically, is why the FDA and the big pharmaceutical companies are shutting down using your own stem cells because they want to be able to patent these lines of stem cells that are taken from aborted fetuses.
	It's far more safe, far more effective to use your own stem cells.
	And when you talk about the cost, in just one course of treatment, if you compare the cost of another type of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, It'll cost you more than $10,000 a month to get that kind of treatment, whereas if you use your own stem cells, you're talking about half of that once every one to two years.
	Just take a look at the Joe Rogan interview with Mel Gibson, talking about how his father was helped.
	Of course, they had to go to Panama, because here in America, you're not allowed to have health freedom, right?
	They will tell you what you can and cannot have.

	I talked earlier in the broadcast about this asinine case of a Texas trooper arresting a man who was hauling hemp.
	He had a lab report with him.
	He had actually been arrested in Arizona, you know, because it looks and it smells like marijuana.
	You have to actually do a chemical test.
	To tell how much THC it has in it.
	But there is a law in Texas that says that you have the burden of proof is on you to prove that it's marijuana.
	Now in Arizona, he spent the night in jail.
	They said, yeah, we tested it.
	It's not pot.
	You can go on your way.
	Because there was a lot of it.
	It was 3,300 pounds.
	It had to be pretty bold to do that openly carrying marijuana.
	That's not typically the way that marijuana is transported and sold.
	So that right there would give you a clue.
	Either this guy is unbelievably stupid.
	Sorry.
	Either he's unbelievably stupid or perhaps it really is hemp, just like the lab report says.
	But they kept him in jail for 30 days.
	And again, as we're talking about stem cells here, just remember, you know, that there is no question.
	No question whatsoever.
	that marijuana has medical uses.
	Now it's not been proven in all these different cases, but it has been proven to the extent that even in Texas, as hostile as they are to not only recreational marijuana, but to medical marijuana, there is an exception for people who are suffering from seizures in Texas for medical marijuana.
	They have to jump through a lot of hoops.
	You have to buy and use all of the ineffective big pharmaceutical drugs and you have to get doctor's permissions and on and on and on, but there is a path to do it legally.
	So they admit that there is a medical use for it.
	Now, under the UN's War on Drugs, Schedule 1 drugs, by definition, have no medical use.
	Except that marijuana does have medical use.
	Acknowledged even here in anti-marijuana Texas.
	It has an acknowledged medical use that is proven in terms of being able to stop uncontrollable seizures.
	And I would add to this, by the way folks, Many of the children who have these uncontrollable seizures had the onset of uncontrollable seizures as a reaction to vaccines.
	Isn't that amazing?
	That the government would then kick the remedy out of their hands.
	Threaten to arrest them and their parents after many cases mandating the very drug that caused the problem.
	So when we look at this, And we look at the long history of medical marijuana and all of the dismissals saying that's just anecdotal.
	We haven't had any studies.
	Well, of course they didn't have any studies because they didn't have a financial incentive to do the study.
	But again, going back to the Constitution, the 9th and the 10th Amendment, the FDA has now said you don't have freedom to use anything unless we tell you you do.
	In other words, you don't have any rights, you only have government-granted privileges.
	Everything is prohibited Unless expressly permitted, which is exactly, exactly the opposite of what the Constitution says.
	That should bother you.
	Because you see, once they're allowed to do that with medical marijuana, they're allowed to do it with stem cells.
	Nobody is taking stem cells.
	Because they want to get high.
	If that's your concern in life.
	If you want to make sure that nobody is getting addicted to anything or having a good time.
	And again, I'm not supporting using recreational drugs.
	I am against addiction.
	And I don't use them myself.
	And I don't recommend that you use them.
	But I also don't recommend that we destroy our legal system.
	I also don't recommend that you force me to pay for the incarceration of an unbelievable number of people.
	We've locked up more people in this country under the War on Drugs, most of them for using marijuana, than any other country in the history of the world.
	We've locked up more people than the Communist Chinese have.
	Or the Stalinists and their gulags.
	And we've done it not only in terms of a percentage of the population, but in terms of absolute number, even though you look at the number of people in China.
	I don't want to pay for that.
	And I don't want to pay the cost of losing my liberties, of losing the Constitution, of losing due process, because the other things that have come along with this are the ideas of civil asset forfeiture, without due process, without even being charged with the crime.
	We've had a lot of ancillary problems with this.
	And it's about more than just recreational use.
	And we can see this when it comes to the stem cell issue.
	Again, you know, when we look at a rational approach to this, you know, they're shaking their hands and saying, well, this is really expensive, and we think that this lady had a negative reaction to it.
	Kristen Camilla had twice on this show before the FDA punished her.
	She had given over 8,000 treatments for a wide variety of problems.
	Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, some of the most effective, but even very effective in terms of things like autism.
	And she talked about that.
	That's what the FDA did not like.
	Oh, you cannot talk about the fact that it's safe and effective.
	You can't talk about the fact that 80% of the people got better.
	Yeah, 20% didn't.
	Name one pharmaceutical drug that has an 80% effective rate.
	And yet they cost twice as much per month as one of these treatments would cost for a one or two year treatment.
	Twice as much each month.
	And of course they have some very, very interesting side effects like cancer.
	Nobody has alleged that, even in the most extreme cases of stem cells.
	But you're not allowed to talk about that.
	If we were to take the rational approach, you know, forget about the Constitution now.
	Let's just pretend that they have the authority to do whatever they wish in Washington.
	Let's ignore the 9th and 10th Amendment.
	Let's ignore the Constitution.
	Let's pretend that the FDA is legitimate and they can tell us what we can have and what we cannot have.
	What would a rational way be to approach this?
	You know, Japan doesn't have the U.S.
	Constitution.
	Japan has a different approach on this.
	Japan says, first of all, you demonstrate to us if you got a new drug, you demonstrate to us, and they're using this for stem cells, demonstrate to us that it does no harm.
	And they have.
	They said it's not harmful.
	It's stem cells from your own body.
	So, they show that it's not harmful.
	Alright, you've demonstrated that it is not harmful and remember that was under medical ethics, that was Galen's first do no harm.
	You show me that it's not harmful and we'll give you X number of years then to prove that it is effective.
	So, if you can show that it's not harmful and people want to do it, then go ahead.
	If you can talk to people, and make a case for this, and they're willing to put their money down, then you are allowed to run these, you know, do these programs and keep the data, and you can show us, and if it's effective, we'll allow you to do it.
	If you haven't been able to prove that it's effective after a certain number of years, we'll shut it down.
	Wouldn't that be a rational approach?
	Let's just forget the Constitution.
	Let's just forget the principles of liberty anymore, because, you know, we're Americans and we're beyond that.
	We've grown up.
	We don't give a damn about freedom.
	It's just pragmatism, right?
	Does it work?
	I can tell you that that kind of program works.
	It's not the interest of the big pharmaceutical companies, but it works.
	Prove that it doesn't do any harm and then you can have a period of time to prove that it's effective.
	But we're not going to do that.
	Not here in the United States.
	Not here in the United States, no.
	Just amazing to see this rag, Texas Monthly, pushing lies like that for big pharmaceutical companies.
	Don't tell me They're not getting some money funneled under the table to them.

	All right, let's talk about now what Jim Baker is saying.
	You know, I was going to talk a great deal about this Christianity Today editor-in-chief, Mark Galley, if I hadn't been sick, if I'd been back sooner.
	You know, he came out and he said, oh yeah, you know, Trump, he's not a Christian, you're not a Christian if you support Trump.
	And now we got Jim Bakker saying, he said, you're not a Christian if you support him.
	Now Jim Bakker is saying, you're not saved if you don't support him.
	Is there some, is the truth lying somewhere between those two?
	You know, after talking about that, then subsequently resigning, He continued to talk about it at the beginning of the year.
	January 3rd, came back out on the Hill, wrote another piece saying these evangelicals are ignorant to the gravity of Trump's moral failings.
	Some evangelicals will acknowledge that he had a problem with adultery, but now they consider that to be a thing of the past.
	They bring up King David, but the difference is King David repented.
	Donald Trump has not done that.
	How does he know?
	Has he ever met Donald Trump?
	Has he ever talked to him about Where he is.
	You know, when we had Donald Trump make the statements as a candidate, I'm really good.
	He said the same thing, basically, at Bloomberg.
	He said, I'm a really good guy.
	Yeah, of course, you know, I'm going to make it on my own marriage.
	Essentially saying the same thing that Bloomberg said, when Bloomberg said, if there is a God, if there is a heaven, I'm going straight in.
	No doubt about it.
	It's not even going to be an interview.
	Look at all the good things I've done in life.
	I've banned sugar.
	As mayor of New York, I ban people getting soft drinks.
	Look at all the things that I've done to try to ban firearms and on and on and on.
	Yeah, there wasn't an understanding there, but Trump has been surrounded by a lot of evangelicals.
	And there's a good chance that there's been a big change.
	A lot of people have said there has been a change.
	People who know him.
	Not this guy.
	This guy who doesn't know him.
	This editor-in-chief of Christianity Today.
	He said, some evangelicals say that he is prideful, abrasive, arrogant.
	These are all qualities that Christians decry, but they don't seem to grasp how serious it is for a head of state to talk like that.
	And it does make me wonder, what's going on here?
	Oh yes, I'm reminded of Pilgrim's Progress.
	Right?
	Except these are the Pilgrim Progressives, aren't they?
	Pilgrim's Progress, at one point, he goes to the village of Legalism, I think it is, and you have Mr. Morality and Mr. Civility, his son.
	Yes, you know, Trump is not civil enough.
	And we have all these different moral shibboleths, you know.
	Don't be aggressive in your speech.
	Kowtow.
	Kowtow to the rules of political correctness.
	Look, evangelicals support President Trump when he is abrasive because we are not going to be enslaved by the rules of civility imposed upon us By the politically correct progressives out there who are going to tell us that we have to speak a certain way and there's certain things that are off-topic and we have to use the correct pronouns when we refer to gender and other things like that.
	These are chains of slavery that are being forged upon us.
	And we're quite happy to see President Trump get abrasive about that.
	Some things you don't need to be civil about, but that's not your basis of salvation.
	Anybody ought to understand that.
	And this is a guy who has absolutely no problem with abortion.
	He has no problem with the Democrats who pushed out the Equality Act, which is going to not only shut down our free speech, but our free exercise of religion.
	So you're going to criticize President Trump on that?
	But then we have Jim Baker take the other side.
	Let's play the clip of Jim Baker, video clip number seven.
	You know what?
	Trump is a test whether you're even saved.
	Only saved people get off Trump.
	No, you've got to be really saved.
	You've got to forgive.
	You've got to be able to forgive.
	You forgive when you're saved.
	Okay, alright.
	Now, this is Jim Baker, who had this massive financial empire, which raised some concerns from some of us Christians as to how much money he was hoarding.
	That collapsed out of financial scandals and sex scandals.
	And I would say that that in and of itself is not a test of whether or not Jim Baker is saved.
	You know, he may have changed or whatever, but this is a guy who is saying what you think about President Trump is a test of whether or not you're saved or not.
	Look, every individual, including Jim Baker, has a good and evil in them, right?
	We need to focus, however, when we're talking about politicians, not on the man.
	Yeah, it is nice to have people who have integrity and I didn't see any Robert E. Lee's running for president this last time.
	I didn't see any marble men who were running for president.
	But given the imperfect choices that we have, we try to find people who we agree with On principles and on issues.
	And you know, even when it comes to principles and issues, not just the man himself, but even on principles and issues, they're going to be a mixture of good and evil, aren't they?
	It's not even a clear-cut issue when it comes to those issues.
	Except that, you know, when we get to a situation like we had versus Hillary Clinton or versus most of these people in the Democrat field, Babylon Bee had it perfect.
	The headline, Christian says he's just voting for whichever political party is less likely to make his faith illegal one day.
	And that is not really even a satire.
	Because we already have the Democrats who are anxious to make your Christian beliefs about marriage illegal.
	They want to censor you on the internet based on your Christian beliefs about when life begins.
	They want to shut you up about a lot of things.
	They want to destroy your business about a lot of things.
	And they want to make it impossible for you to exercise your Christian faith.
	The satire, a local Christian man admitted that he just votes for whichever political party is less likely to make his faith illegal one day.
	Larry Michaels often votes for one party over the other, but confesses that he only does so because they're not outright antagonistic toward the core tenets of Christianity.
	He says, I don't particularly love the party I usually vote for, but hey, they're a little less likely one day to outlaw my faith.
	It's probably better to hold your nose and prevent an openly anti-Christian candidate from taking office, he said.
	I mean, I don't really care to win the culture war or anything, but if the candidate I support tends to be slightly more prone to just leave me alone, I'll vote for them.
	That's exactly right.
	Because, you know, when we look at where this is headed, we have across the world, and we're talking about places like Canada, the UK, people are going to jail.
	Not just having their businesses taken away.
	By some LGBT community, like they've tried to do to bakers and to photographers.
	Or to Hobby Lobby, because they don't want to pay for abortions.
	These people are outright authoritarians.
	And it really simply comes down to that.
	It isn't a test of whether or not you're saved.
	It isn't, as we see from the Jim Bakers and the Christianity Today editors, No, folks, it is simply about, it's an issue of freedom.
	The free exercise of religion, your freedom of speech, your freedom of thought.

	I just wish I could make my own stem cells.
	People can grow their own pot, but you can't make your own stem cells.
	That's the issue, but we can nullify that.
	And I've got an interesting article coming up here about nullification, but before we leave the authoritarians, the censors, the prohibitionists, you know, the people like Joe Biden who say, oh yeah, we ought to ban plastic bags.
	I absolutely agree, we ought to ban plastic bags.
	Understand, these people want to ban you even talking about their proposals.
	Even questioning their quote-unquote science, as I said many times, there is... science is never settled.
	Science is not determined based on consensus.
	Just go back and look at the history of science.
	You know, go back and look at Copernicus or Galileo or any of these people, or Pasteur, right?
	Pasteur, he had to fight the consensus about germs.
	They want to shut this guy down.
	All advances in science happen when you challenge a consensus view.
	Science is skepticism.
	It's not denial.
	It's skepticism.
	You talk about denial, that is denial of the faith.
	It is a religion to these people.
	They want to deny you your freedom to exercise your religion, to state what you believe about marriage, about gender, about sex, and so forth.
	That's the Equality Act.
	The Democrats in the House have already passed that.
	They will make that a law when they get control of the Senate.
	And when they get control of the House and the Presidency, they will make that a law.
	It will be in violation of the Constitution, but they'll do it anyway.
	And nobody really pays much attention to the Constitution.
	German Greens are already saying that they need to not only shut down speech, But they need to jail people who are deniers.
	Deniers.
	See, in Germany they don't have a great deal of tolerance for anything.
	These are the people who gave us compulsory education.
	They gave us kindergarten.
	They gave us gun control.
	They gave us a lot of different... They are pretty authoritarian if you haven't noticed by now.
	And so they're going straight to playing the go directly to jail card.
	Not just trying to censor people.
	You know, in Canada You have the so-called Winnipeg Free Press saying we need to censor any speech that challenges our conclusions about climate and environment.
	You don't think they're going to do that?
	You don't think that when you have a political party that thinks that it has the power to ban plastic bags at the national level, you don't think that they will follow through and ban your speech here in America?
	They're already doing it in Canada.
	They're doing it in the UK and other places.
	In Germany, they not only want to ban speech, but they want to jail people.
	You don't think they're going to do that to the exercise of your religion?
	You don't think they're going to do that to homeschooling?

	We're talking about the authoritarian Democrats.
	Uh, totalitarian is what I would call them, because they are authoritarian in every aspect of your life.
	They say that they're pro-choice, but of course that only comes to exterminating children.
	They don't support your choice about how you're going to, uh, what kind of medical care you're going to provide to your children, whether or not you're going to have them vaccinated.
	They demand that you have them vaccinated, and on their schedule, or else.
	Or else.
	They don't want you to have freedom about how you educate your children.
	They don't want you to have freedom about what you think about science, or even to debate science, or debate anything else.
	And then they force on us things that are not debatable.
	The biological, objective, and binary issues of sex.
	They demand that we pretend that that isn't the case.
	And that's part of the Equality Act.
	It will be used not only to enforce the LGBT agenda down our throats about gender, but it will be used to essentially eradicate all religious freedom.
	And the Democrats have already passed this at the House level, and they're going to do it.
	If they get control of the Senate Presidency, they will do it.
	Pretend that there isn't any First Amendment.
	But we also have NPR coming after homeschooling.
	Because, you know, what's the point of trying to control people's speech and their free exercise of religion if you can't control their minds?
	I've said many times that the First Amendment should have included the freedom of education.
	Not just the freedom of speech, or exercise of religion, but also education.
	Because, you see, education is about free thought.
	Education is also inextricably connected to your religious beliefs as well.
	Every society, except ours, no society has ever been so naive as to think that you can have such a thing as secular education.
	It's simply whose values, whose religion is going to be established and the religion that we're pushing right now.
	and have been pushing for a long time is secular humanism.
	It is a system of beliefs.
	It has a particular belief about the nature of man, about the existence of God and so forth, and it is finding its fruition in environmentalism.
	And it is, you know, they call people who don't agree with them environmentalism deniers.
	And so NPR is now running a series about how we should regulate homeschooling.
	It was entitled, How Should We Regulate Homeschooling?
	Well, you shouldn't.
	It's none of your business.
	You see, one of the reasons why we don't have education specifically protected in the First Amendment Was because nobody had even conceived of the idea that the government would be allowed to teach our children.
	They took that responsibility seriously enough that they educated their own children.
	That's right, they educated their own children.
	You look at the founding fathers, you look at the generation that established America, they were all homeschooled.
	It was not until the 20th century that this became widely accepted and adapted and even compulsory for quite some time.
	It is a big deal, as I mentioned before, Carl Hess, one of the founders of the Libertarian Party, the guy who was the speechwriter for Barry Goldwater.
	Goldwater called him his Shakespeare.
	He was the one who wrote the line that Barry Goldwater is most famous for.
	Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue.
	That was written by Carl Hess.
	In the 1930s, his mother had to keep one step ahead of the law.
	He talked about how they would move constantly to keep the truancy officers from arresting her and separating him from her.
	She was absolutely determined that her son was going to be a free thinker, and he was not going to be put in school.
	And she risked jail to do that.
	And as a result, he became Barry Goldwater's speechwriter.
	He's one of the founders of the Libertarian Party.
	But, you know, it's got a lot of different aspects to it, doesn't it?
	Free education, free thought, free speech.
	Free exercise of religion.
	The desire to control other people's ideas and behaviors, particularly when they challenge widely held beliefs and customs, is one of human nature's most nefarious tendencies, writes IntellectualTakeout.org, in talking about this NPR story.
	How should we regulate homeschooling?
	Just last month, for example, they talk about this.
	We've got to do this.
	We've got to regulate homeschooling for the safety of the children, don't we?
	According to NPR, according to the teachers unions who are pushing this, just last night, last month they point out, we had two public school teachers in California who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a student.
	We had a public school teacher in New Mexico convicted of sexually assaulting a second grader after already being convicted of sexually assaulting two fourth graders.
	Two public school employees in Virginia were charged with abusing six non-verbal special needs students in the San Diego Unified School District in California.
	It's being sued because one of its teachers pleaded guilty to repeated sexual abuse and intimidation of a student.
	So when we look at all of this, you know, it's no problem, right, when the When the public schools do it, when the government schools do it.
	It really doesn't usually make headlines, does it?
	Makes headlines if it happens, and it should make headlines when it happens, by any kind of institution.
	If it's done by the Catholic Church, it makes headlines, doesn't it?
	But if it's done by the government schools, it doesn't make headlines.
	And I can guarantee you, because we have seen it happen, if it ever happens with a homeschooling family, oh, it makes national headlines for quite some time.
	But when it happens over and over again, And state after state in just one month.
	No headlines at all.
	As they point out, child abuse is horrific, but the idea that government officials who cannot stop widespread abuse from occurring in public schools should somehow regulate homeschooling is far from clear, right?
	It's totally misguided.
	They said homeschooling lets you learn outside of An institution that provides a safer, more nurturing, more academically rigorous educational environment for your children.
	That's why people do it.
	They do it because it is part of their free exercise of their religion as well.
	But there's no tolerance for that anymore.
	We see in New York and California, they're coming after religious schools who don't want to vaccinate.
	They're saying, you're not even going to be allowed to go to this private religious school if you're not vaccinated.
	We're just going to shut you down.
	They don't respect religious freedom anymore.
	And they don't respect freedom of thought either.
	Recent efforts to tighten homeschool regulations have been spotlighted in New Hampshire and Iowa.
	Homeschoolers in the UK are now dealing with mounting pressure to make their homeschooling laws more restrictive.
	And I would say when we look at Germany, of course, as I mentioned before, you know, they're the people who gave us government compulsory taxpayer-funded schools first.
	Kindergarten, that's a German phrase, right?
	We've had multiple situations where parents who wanted to homeschool in Germany were not only attacked, but they were arrested.
	Including one particular case, I'll never forget, of a family who, one of the parents was German, the other had a different nationality, they were being harassed.
	Because they homeschool, they decided that they would just leave Germany and go back to the home country of the other parent.
	They were arrested at the airport, and their children were taken away, and they were thrown in jail.
	That's what we see in Germany.
	That kind of authoritarianism is what we see in Germany.
	Again, homeschoolers receive no public money, but we still have to pay taxes to support these government institutions.
	And so, if you're going to regulate us, understand that it is not only an invasion of our privacy, it is not only a violation of due process, it is not only a violation of the premise that we are innocent until proven guilty, innocent until we even have an allegation against us!
	Just understand, we're not going to stand for you taking our rights and trying to turn them into government-granted privileges.

	You know, now that we're finished with Iran, we have that other I-word that's now back in the news.
	Impeachment.
	And there's been a lot of Democrat senators Interesting.
	What is she doing?
	Why doesn't she release the Articles of Impeachment so we can get on with this?
	Nancy Pelosi came out and said, I know exactly when to send articles to the Senate.
	Yeah, I know exactly what I'm doing and I know exactly when to send them.
	Well, there's a lot of people who disagree with her.
	As a matter of fact, you've had Dianne Feinstein, Joe Manchin, And even the independent Angus King of Maine, who caucuses with the Democrats, they are all calling for her to do exactly that.
	That's why she came out a few minutes ago and said, I know exactly when to put them out.
	More Democrats report Fox News urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to send articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate so a trial can get underway.
	Those joining the list include Dianne Feinstein from Pelosi's own home state of California, as well as Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Angus King of Maine, who caucuses with the Democrats.
	Feinstein told Politico, the longer it goes on, the less urgent it becomes.
	So if it's serious and urgent, said Dianne Feinstein, send them over.
	If it isn't, then don't send them over.
	Manchin agreed with Feinstein.
	He said the House should move on and deliver the articles to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
	It is time, said Angus King of Maine.
	He said we need to get folks to testify and we need to get more information, said John Tester, Democrat of Montana, but nevertheless I'm ready.
	I don't know what leverage we have, It looks like the cake is already baked.
	I think it looks like your impeachment is half-baked, quite frankly.
	That's why they're doing this.
	They know they don't have anything, and so they're playing this game.
	Lindsey Graham said yesterday, the Senate will take up President Trump's impeachment trial next week.
	Shortly after he crafted a resolution that called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to deliver the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, along with those Democrats who are saying the same thing, like Dianne Feinstein.
	He also said Pelosi's dam is about to crack.
	You said it was urgent, said Lindsey Graham.
	If you believe it to be urgent, send it to the Senate for disposition.
	Graham said he plans to introduce the resolution today, Thursday.
	In it, he writes that Pelosi lacks, quote, the power to effectively veto a resolution passed by a duly elected majority of the House of Representatives by refusing to transmit such a resolution to the Senate.
	He argued that hanging on to the articles is a flagrant violation of the separation of powers expressly outlined in the bicameral impeachment process under the Constitution.
	You've got Mitch McConnell basically saying there will be no haggling with the House.
	He tweeted this out.
	I tweeted this out yesterday.
	There will be no haggling, says Mitch McConnell, with the House over Senate procedure.
	We will not cede our authority to try this impeachment.
	The House Democrats turn is over.
	The Senate has made its decision.
	This is for the Senate and the Senate only to decide.
	And when we look at the Senate, I don't think even though we've now had Mitt Romney unable to contain his hatred for President Trump.
	Mitt Romney Was trying to play nice and, you know, oh yeah, I'm perfectly fine with President Trump, even though he was pretty much trolled by President Trump over these other issues.
	No, no, no, I have no animosity to him.
	Well, now we're seeing the real Romney come out.
	He said, I would like to be able to hear from John Bolton.
	What the process is to make that happen, I don't have an answer for you, said Romney on Monday.
	He is the first GOP Senator to speak up since Bolton vowed that he would love to help the Senate.
	So here's two people that dearly hate President Trump, Bolton and Romney.
	They'd like to get together and support Chuck Schumer, who also hates President Trump, to try to find more dirt on the President.
	We had Mark Meadows chime in and said, remember when the House Democrats argued that they had to impeach Trump because it was urgent?
	They then left D.C.
	for a vacation, holding the articles, and when they haven't transmitted them, it's now been 21 days.
	So this is not serious, and it certainly isn't urgent.
	It never was, says Mark Meadows.
	And now you've got Democrat senators saying the same thing.
	Excuse me, I had to cough there.
	But of course, Nancy Pelosi says she knows exactly when to send them.
	She just doesn't know anything about the Constitution, right?
	So we will see what happens with that.
	Again, it's starting to come to a head.
	They're getting tired of that.
	And I think a lot of the more reasonable people, even on the Democrat side, reasonable in the sense that they understand that it is not to their political advantage to pursue this fantasy against President Trump are starting to push back.
	Alright, let's talk a little bit about the judicial system outside of the trial in the Senate.
	We had a court case that came out of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and basically, basically what they did was they came after a lower court judge Who not only allowed jury nullification, but actually said, this looks like a case for jury nullification.
	That is somewhat unprecedented, because in most cases, the judges will lie to the jury.
	Most judges, in their instruction to juries, will tell them, you are not here to judge whether or not you agree with this law, or the penalties that are going to be assessed in case you find the individual guilty.
	You are here simply to judge the facts of the case.
	And again, just like what we see coming from the FDA, saying everything is prohibited unless they expressly permit it.
	That is an exact inversion of what the truth is.
	The purpose of the jury is a check on the legislators.
	The founders are very adamant uh... that we wanted to have uh... they were very concerned about power being consolidated you know like within the federal government where they would take all power away from the states away from the people uh... and now we've seen it uh... being consolidated into the uh... court system yes judicial tyranny judicial supremacy must be destroyed It is the enemy of the Republic.
	It is the primary enemy of the Republic.
	Judicial supremacy is a greater threat to America than ISIS or China or Russia or anything, the deficit, anything that you care to name.
	All of these problems that we've had, the destruction of our rule of law, the destruction of the Constitution, all come from judicial tyranny.
	And it must be destroyed.
	So we're going to talk about the idea that jury nullification doesn't apply, as was handed down by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals when we returned.

	On October 27, 2018, an attacker killed 11 innocent people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
	They had no armed security.
	They had not designated any people within the synagogue to carry conceal, because, you know, we're talking about Pennsylvania or whatever.
	And it's also something that they had a religious issue with.
	That has now been resolved.
	We've now had a rabbi, Harav Chaim, He spoke against posting guards, but he made it clear that worshippers could carry firearms to the synagogue if the purpose was to save lives.
	Christians have had this debate.
	I had a South African Christian who was a missionary on the program once.
	I don't know if you can find the report anymore.
	Google has pretty much purged everything that I had.
	I called it Five Bullets to Save a Thousand People.
	But Charles van Wick, a South African, back in the days when the African National Congress and the other communists associated with Nelson Mandela were going around as part of a race war, looking to kill white people, decided that they would go to a liberal church because they believed that they would not be carrying firearms, a white church, and a very prosperous area, you know, rich, liberal, white people who didn't carry firearms.
	About a thousand people there.
	And they were right.
	Nobody there had any firearms.
	Nobody there was going to protect themselves.
	However, Charles Von Vick was visiting that day and he had already gone through this in terms of his thinking.
	Thinking, am I justified to carry a gun to protect myself and to protect the life of other innocent people?
	He thought through those principles and he decided, yes, he was justified to do that.
	So he began carrying a firearm and training himself to do that.
	At that church that day, he had a group, and I forget the number, I think it was about a half dozen or so individuals.
	They later testified about all this under the Truth and Reconciliation.
	You know, after Nelson Mandela became president or whatever, they decided they would let anybody who had committed atrocities on either side go as long as they Publicly confessed it.
	And so these people came forward and they said, yeah, we picked that area because we knew there were a lot of people there.
	We knew there were rich white people and they would not be armed and we wanted to kill everybody there.
	And so they came into the church.
	They came into a side door as the church had begun services.
	They threw bombs, hand grenades, into the church, and then they stepped into the church with fully automatic weapons and started spraying the congregation with machine gun fire.
	More than 50 people were killed.
	I don't know, I don't recall, because I'm just doing this from memory here, I don't recall how many people were wounded.
	But Charles Von Vick was, it was a large church, again, about a thousand people.
	He was on the opposite corner, elevated, in that church auditorium.
	And he pulled out his gun and took a shot.
	And he thought, there's no way that I'm ever going to hit these people at this distance with a pistol, a five-shot revolver.
	So he went out the back and then went around the church to get close to the door where they had entered so he could get a closer shot at them.
	As he rounded the building, he saw a couple guys who were still outside and he took a couple of shots at them.
	And at that point they all fled.
	And when they testified about it years later, they didn't realize it was one guy with five shots.
	And it turns out that that first shot that he took hit one of them.
	And then when he ran out of the building and came around the other side and started taking the shots at him, they thought there were multiple people defending the congregation and they fled.
	Even though they had hand grenades and fully automatic weapons.
	And for years, he wrote a book, he had it published by WND, and he would try to tell Americans, this was back in the 1990s that he'd written the book, and it had happened earlier than that, the incident.
	He was trying to educate people in America about how they need to defend themselves and churches.
	And of course, you know, when that shooting happened over the holidays, second time we've had a church shooting here in Texas, The people said, based on what happened in Sutherland Springs, we set up our own defense here to make sure that didn't happen.
	And now it's good to see other people are doing that.
	You know, this rabbi of the synagogue doing self-defense.
	But we don't need the permission of rabbis.
	We don't need the permission of Supreme Court justices.
	We just need to work these things out ourselves and understand what the true risks are.
	Absolutely amazing.
	I never forget that in that case in Sutherland Springs, you had Joe Biden doubling down his criticism after you had that one individual run the shooter off and actually kill him using an AR-15, same weapon the other guy had.
	He did not have body armor like the other guy did, but he was able to drive him off and kill him.
	And Joe Biden still wanted the AR-15 taken away, even though it was used to save lives.
	Mark Collins, who used to pastor that church, is a guest on here multiple times talking about that.
	He has been in the movie, Revelation, the movie, by Chuck Untersee and his wife.
	That's a great film.
	But he played George Washington.
	He is a doppelganger for George Washington, Mark Collins is.
	And he has gone around Texas schools dressed up as George Washington to teach them about the founding principles of this country.
	But he used to be a pastor down there.
	He came on this program the Monday after that happened and broke the news that it was not a shotgun, it was an AR-15.
	That news was broken first on this program that Monday morning.
	But that doesn't matter to the Democrats.
	And they're going to try to take our firearms away, which brings us back to jury nullification.
	You know, when you look at the sanctuary cities, what are they saying as part of that?
	You know, we've had sanctuary cities in terms of illegal immigration, and now you've got sanctuary cities in terms of the Second Amendment.
	The difference between these two, by the way, is that a Second Amendment sanctuary city is actually legal and constitutional.
	Because we have the Second Amendment.
	What they're saying is we are going to nullify any unconstitutional laws and we'll do it here at the county or the city level.
	Whereas a sanctuary city, when it comes to illegal immigration, has no authority.
	Because the authority to protect the border And set immigration policy has been delegated under the Constitution.
	One of those few things that has been delegated to the federal government.
	And so they have no authority to do that.
	No constitutional authority.
	But you do have the constitutional authority to nullify any unconstitutional, unlawful actions by state government or by federal government to confiscate firearms.
	And when you look at that kind, that is a nullification quite frankly.
	But there's another kind of nullification.
	And that is jury nullification.
	And that is already happening in many firearms cases.
	It's happening quite a bit in marijuana cases.
	It happened a lot with alcohol prohibition.
	It's one of the reasons why they stopped alcohol prohibition, because you had jury nullification happening left and right.
	And as much as, you know, they probably didn't like the corruption of the legal system, I don't know, maybe they didn't care, because it certainly has worked out to their advantage to corrupt the legal system as part of our war on drugs.
	But they don't want people to wake up and realize, that's one of the reasons why Jeff Sessions never challenged any of these marijuana state laws, because he doesn't want people to realize that under the 9th and 10th Amendment, you can shut down anything.
	that the federal government does. Not just pot laws, you can shut down illegal gun laws, you can shut down the National Firearms Act, quite frankly.
	You can shut down a lot of things that the federal government is doing. You could shut down the FDA, you could shut down the DEA, the ATF, you could shut down all of these things at the state and local level, and they didn't want people to realize that with marijuana.
	You know, it's happening with marijuana because 90% of the people don't want to lock people away.
	And it's gone up quite a bit from when New Jersey weed man used jury nullification.
	He looked at it and said, well, you know, about 70% of the people.
	Now it's 90% of the people.
	But he looked at it and said, about 70% of the people don't support locking somebody up for marijuana.
	So I'm going to do jury nullification and I'm going to do it myself because the lawyers are afraid of the judicial system.
	They're afraid of the bar.
	They're afraid of being disbarred.
	I've got to really hand it to the listeners and viewers of InfoWars.

	So let's talk about jury nullification.
	I've talked about it many times in the context of the war on drugs, specifically about marijuana.
	It's one of the important things about marijuana.
	You know, we have seen state nullification and we have seen jury nullification done over and over again.
	As I pointed out, New Jersey Weed Man, I had him on the program talk about it.
	He had a permit for medical marijuana use in California, then he went to New Jersey, and he continued to use the medical marijuana for his own health, and they arrested him.
	They were coming after him for, I think, distribution charges because he had a large enough quantity.
	It wasn't that much, I guess, but it was large enough that it triggered the distribution charges.
	In his first case, he actually went to the New Jersey Constitution.
	Which specifically supported jury nullification.
	That the jurors have the right to judge the law, not just the facts of the case, but the law.
	Whether or not they agree with it, and how it's going to be applied, how it's going to be penalized if you find somebody guilty of it.
	He never made the argument that he didn't have the marijuana.
	He just made the calculation that the majority of people at the time, it's only about 70% of the people opposed locking people up for marijuana.
	Now it's over 90%.
	And he just made the calculation, well I know I can get a hung jury.
	And so the first trial, he went in and he pulled up his printout of the New Jersey Constitution to show it to the jurors and the judge said, put that down!
	You're not going to allow, I'm not going to allow that in my courtroom.
	Because he was representing himself.
	He knew that a lawyer, a lawyer, was not going to talk about jury nullification.
	So he represented himself.
	Well, he had to put it down.
	We would be locked up for contempt and so forth and so on.
	But it was too late.
	The jurors had seen it.
	And even though he didn't get acquitted, he had, I think it was about half the jurors, I think it was seven of the twelve that voted to acquit him.
	So it was a hung jury.
	So he gets a retrial.
	They come after him again.
	Because they can do that three times if you have a hung jury.
	In the second trial, he did the same thing.
	Different judge.
	The judge said, oh, okay.
	And let him put up the Constitution of New Jersey.
	Imagine that.
	A judge that was that open-minded.
	And when he put that up, he got acquitted by all 12 jurors.
	The jury nullification is a very important thing.
	And we need to remember this as the Democrats are moving to prohibit everything.
	Moving to force us to take drugs, to prohibit us from even having plastic bags.
	They're going to take away our meat, you know, whatever.
	Lock people up for gun violations of imaginary laws and so forth.
	It has been a part of a case, but before we get to that, Reason Magazine had an article because of the statement by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
	Attacking a judge because he allowed, and even mentioned the term, jury nullification because he thought it was very egregious what the federal government's doing.
	Before we get to that, they had an article talking about rebellious jurors make the world a better place.
	They gave examples, many of them, again, coming from the world of marijuana prohibition, Texas for example.
	They said the law that is only now being enforced, and I just talked to you about how the One individual was locked up for over 30 days, even though he had nothing but hemp.
	He was transporting hemp.
	And that is legal.
	They kept him in jail for 30 days.
	It could have easily proven.
	They did in Arizona.
	They locked him up overnight, but they showed that it wasn't marijuana.
	Nevertheless, they did it there.
	So they're reluctantly starting to obey the law that was passed back in 2015.
	and part of the reason that was passed in 2015 was because a fairly high-profile case in 2008 we had an HIV patient. You know, one of the other things besides seizures that is proven that medical marijuana helps is nausea. People who are getting chemical treatment for HIV or for cancer. I've talked many times about Peter McWilliams who was in California and he was openly talking about how he was going to take marijuana because it was the only thing
	that would control his nausea.
	That he was taking the drugs he was taking for HIV.
	And a judge there decided that he was going to punish him for that, for his political speech.
	Locked him up in a jail cell and he choked to death on his own vomit because the judge was determined that he was not going to have access to medical marijuana for his nausea.
	But you had a jury here in Texas in 2008.
	Basically nullify the law for an HIV patient rather than letting him choke to death on his own vomit as a California judge did.
	Jury nullification appears to be on the rise in many drug cases that reach the trial stage, writes Rice University professor William Martin, talking about Texas here.
	You had in Georgia a recent case.
	Antonio Willis faced up to five years in prison for selling the equivalent of a few joints to an undercover cop.
	The cop who switched into an exaggerated Hispanic accent straight out of Cheech and Chong when dealing with suspects kept pestering him for drugs while promising to hook the unemployed man up with a construction job.
	A jury in Middle Georgia returned a not guilty verdict despite the fact that he clearly had made the sale.
	It's also widely seen as an important tool in protecting other rights.
	Using the jury box to limit government excesses will be a strong tool in our kit, writes the truthaboutguns.com, after a jury was hung when one member refused to vote guilty in a 2013 firearms case.
	And this is what I've said, it's not only a nullification at the state and county level, you know, you have elected officials, Saying we're not going to allow this law to be enforced.
	You can also, at the state and local level, you can overthrow illegal federal gun laws, use nullification the same way we've done with marijuana.
	And of course, if all of that fails, you still have jury nullification.
	And people are talking about that as well.
	The degree of difficulty that the government has experienced in obtaining felon and possession convictions is largely due to the public's strongly held feelings towards guns.
	If you've got the vast majority of people, and we've had standing room only cases in Virginia where they're saying, we're not going to allow this to happen here.
	You think those people, when they're put on a jury, they're not going to let people go?
	Now of course the real concern is that people are going to be shot.
	in order to take their guns.
	But again, let's talk about jury nullification.
	In New York for example, in a case of political protest, New York jurors earlier this year acquitted four defendants of obstructing governmental administration, of disorderly conduct, and of trespass.
	This is a 2015 protest of the Hancock Field National Guard Base that was where they were piloting out Reaper drones, and these people didn't agree with the drone program, so they executed a political protest.
	Following the verdict, where the jury let them off, a juror approached the acquitted defendant, Brian Hines, and said, I really support what you're doing.
	Keep doing it.
	So where does this come from?
	Well, there's actually a long tradition about this.
	Not only the case of William Penn that I've talked about many times, but just in the writings of the founders of this country.
	You know, there's people like Mark Pulliam, who doesn't like jury nullification.
	He calls it brazen lawlessness and a prescription for arbitrariness.
	As if the law is never lawless.
	As if the legislators are never arbitrary, right?
	No, it is about consent of the governed.
	John Taylor, a Revolutionary War veteran, widely read political and constitutional theorist, described jurors as the lower judicial bench.
	Under this view, just as judges, who he called the upper bench, possess the power to declare laws unconstitutional, so do juries, the lower judicial bench.
	James Wilson, who signed both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, Made a similar point in 1791 lectures on law at the College of Philadelphia.
	He said, whoever would be obliged to obey a constitutional law is justified in refusing to obey an unconstitutional act of the legislature.
	When a question even of this delicate nature occurs, everyone who is called to act has a right to judge.
	And he says, juries are called to act and to judge.
	Thomas Jefferson, in writing a letter to Thomas Paine, He said, trial by jury is the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution.
	And Alexis de Tocqueville, who came to America, wrote Democracy in America, observing what happened here, said, the jury places the real direction of society in the hands of the governed, or a portion of the governed, and not in that of the government alone.
	That's the reason the magazine writes, yeah, think of it not as a bug, but as a feature.
