[00:00:00]  Well, Pothole Pete Buttigieg is at it again.
[00:00:04]  Our failed transportation secretary, who's worried about things like there being too many white people employed on a particular construction site and how that's somehow racist, rather than fixing the disastrous infrastructure problems that are plaguing our country every day.
[00:00:18]  As we had multiple toxic train derailments last week alone, Pete Buttigieg is out there lecturing us about racism.
[00:00:27]  And this week on GMA, he gets on there to talk about the criticism of the government's crappy handling of the disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, as we're going through a toxic waste bill.
[00:00:41]  Quote, look, I was the mayor of my hometown for eight years.
[00:00:45]  We dealt with a lot of disasters.
[00:00:47]  That's like Pete's only qualification, right?
[00:00:49]  Disasters. Disasters.
[00:00:51]  He didn't deal with anything. OK, South Bend, Indiana was certainly a disaster there.
[00:00:57]  He was there apparently for eight years and did it.
[00:00:59]  But because he checked a diversity box, he gets to run for president.
[00:01:03]  Because he then ran for president, we got to make him a cabinet secretary.
[00:01:07]  Then we got to run and tout that we have the first openly gay cabinet secretary.
[00:01:11]  None of it's based on competence.
[00:01:13]  He's failed in every way, shape or form.
[00:01:16]  And then he took paternity leave while The people of America, all 350 million of them, suffered.
[00:01:23]  Watch for yourself. The administration has come under some fire for its response.
[00:01:26]  The mayor of East Palestine has said it took nearly two weeks for the White House to contact him.
[00:01:31]  There were shouts of, where's Pete Buttigieg, at a town hall meeting last week.
[00:01:36]  What's your response to that?
[00:01:37]  When are you going to go to East Palestine?
[00:01:41]  Well, I am planning to go, and our folks were on the ground from the first hours.
[00:01:46]  I do want to stress that the NTSB needs to be able to do its work independently.
[00:01:51]  But when I go, the focus is going to be on action.
[00:01:54]  Look, I was mayor of my hometown for eight years.
[00:01:56]  We dealt with a lot of disasters, natural and human.
[00:02:00]  Well, he's going to finally make it there two weeks later, three weeks later.
[00:02:04]  Guess what? Just like FEMA, when they said, we can't help the people of East Palestine.
[00:02:08]  We can't do anything about it.
[00:02:10]  It doesn't really matter. Then Donald Trump, my dad, a real leader, steps up and says, he's going there this Wednesday, like tomorrow.
[00:02:18]  Okay? All of a sudden, FEMA... We have re-evaluated the situation and now we're going to do something.
[00:02:24]  Because it's all BS, folks.
[00:02:27]  It's all about the optics.
[00:02:28]  Just like Mayor Pete. He checks off a box.
[00:02:31]  He gets to be cabinet secretary.
[00:02:33]  They make a big deal. First openly gay cabinet.
[00:02:35]  You know, Rick Riddell doesn't get any credit for that when he was appointed into a similar position by Donald Trump.
[00:02:40]  No, no, he's a conservative, so we can't talk about it.
[00:02:41]  They figure out the ways it's different.
[00:02:43]  They highlight one and ignore the other because that's all it is, folks.

[00:02:47]  It's about identity politics.
[00:02:49]  So Mayor Pothole Pete, Okay, who's overseen the worst infrastructure disasters of our lifetime, who is just focused on anything but like transportation and our infrastructure.
[00:03:02]  Pothole Pete, you know, gets to talk about all the things he did.
[00:03:05]  Look, I understand. I'm different.
[00:03:07]  I did a great job. No, you didn't.
[00:03:09]  You checked a bunch of boxes.
[00:03:10]  So they gave you positions of power.
[00:03:12]  You failed miserably.
[00:03:14]  350 million Americans have suffered under it.
[00:03:17]  You won't bother to go to the things that you're supposed to be overseeing.
[00:03:21]  And now you're going to go after you've been pressured by the Internet and probably by the fact that Donald Trump has decided to lead since our own leaders refuse.
[00:03:30]  That's not leadership, Pete.
[00:03:32]  That's failure. It's failure.
[00:03:34]  It's a disaster.
[00:03:36]  You've done nothing. And you shouldn't get any credit for now showing up after being bullied into it three weeks later.
