[00:00:00]  Well guys, you're not going to believe it, or maybe you will, but the CIA has released yet another woke recruitment video.
[00:00:11]  You literally can't make it up.
[00:00:12]  But in watching this video, I know that China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and our enemies are laughing their asses off at us.
[00:00:23]  They must love this.
[00:00:26]  You know, the gentleman talks about, I was worried I wouldn't be able to talk about my personal life at work.
[00:00:32]  Why is that an issue?
[00:00:33]  Why is that important? Most people don't talk about their personal life at work.
[00:00:38]  The fact that you're talking about this at the CIA is a problem.
[00:00:41]  You have a man that was recruited to play board games with CIA agents.
[00:00:46]  I mean, they're playing tabletop games.
[00:00:49]  It's like it's a kindergarten.
[00:00:51]  The CIA recruitment video makes it seem like the CIA is like a daycare center for woke adults and they're supposed to be the people on the front lines of our national defense keeping us safe from our enemies.

[00:01:17]  I literally can't explain how ridiculous this is.

[00:01:25]  As an agency librarian, I work to ensure that our collection and services are matched up with what CIA needs.
[00:01:31]  Not only am I involved in the acquisitions of journals, books, and countless electronic resources, I'm also encouraged to curate special collections that challenge expectation.
[00:01:41]  Recently, I brought in our intelligence gaming collection to give officers unique opportunities to practice skills they need in their various roles.
[00:01:48]  Instead of sitting for hours in front of a computer-based training, they can play a carefully selected game to train a specific set of skills while simultaneously building on the myriad soft skills essential to intelligence work.
[00:02:00]  My favorite thing about CIA is that they encourage the out-of-the-box ideas that drive real progress.
[00:02:06]  Growing up gay in a small southern town, I was lucky to have a wonderful and accepting family.
[00:02:12]  I always struggled with the idea that I might not be able to discuss my personal life at work.
[00:02:16]  Imagine my surprise when I was taking my oath at CIA and I noticed a rainbow on then-director Brennan's lanyard, which I later learned was designed by Engel, one of the many employee resource groups here at the agency.
[00:02:27]  I remember being stunned.
[00:02:29]  Since then, however, I've learned that far beyond the resource groups, inclusion is a core value here.
[00:02:35]  Officers from the top down work hard to ensure that every single person, whatever their gender, gender identity, race,
[00:02:42]  disability, or sexual orientation can bring their entire self to work every day.

[00:02:57]  Again, we're not hiring because of identity.
[00:02:59]  It just happens to be, right?

[00:03:06]  In 2021, I can assure you, no one gives a crap if you're gay.
[00:03:10]  No one cares. Just do your damn job.
