[01:08:08]  She's discussing this exact problem the Democrats have that because people are evacuating blue states and blue districts like hers, once it shrinks below a certain number, her congressional seat disappears.

[01:08:24]  She's like, hey, man, I'll take some of these illegals in my district.
[01:08:27]  This is a couple years old, but I just want you this is when the Democrats say the quiet part out loud.
[01:08:32]  Why am I not giving up?
[01:08:33]  You're a Democrat.
[01:08:34]  You should be the one giving up.
[01:08:35]  There's nothing looking good for you on this front.

[01:08:39]  We have a diaspora that can absorb a significant number of these migrants.
[01:08:46]  And when I hear colleagues talk about the doors of the end being closed, No room in the end.

[01:09:06]  Of course they could fit there.
[01:09:08]  They would save your congressional seat and your electoral college vote for the presidency.
[01:09:13]  Now do you understand why Democrats constantly lobby for open borders?
[01:09:21]  Folks, I promise you, if you put into the law, we will let everyone in.
[01:09:27]  Everyone in illegally, but they have to vote Republican.

[01:10:19]  We have real problems to deal with.
[01:10:21]  This is no time for clowns and jokers and goons and freaking doomers.
[01:10:29]  The AI threat really worries me.
[01:10:33]  It worries me because we don't understand it.
[01:10:37]  I saw this clip on Constantine Kisson's show.

[01:10:47]  I want you to pay very close attention to this clip about AI.
[01:10:54]  Here is the problem in analyzing AI we don't know how it does what it does and how it's going to evolve if it ever is to develop into a super intelligence or AGI.
[01:11:07]  I told you a story one time about imagining a super intelligence is impossible because you can't imagine it.
[01:11:13]  It's like when I was living in my old house.
[01:11:16]  You know, my dog, Lucy, I'm more intelligent than Lucy.
[01:11:20]  And so the dumbest human being on planet Earth is light years ahead of Lucy, the dog.
[01:11:26]  Lucy goes out in the yard every day.
[01:11:28]  One day a bird died in the yard.
[01:11:31]  And I threw the bird out, you know, threw it in the garbage.
[01:11:34]  It was dead.
[01:11:36]  So Lucy, who'd been running around in the yard forever, but she's a dog.
[01:11:40]  She has no advanced reasoning powers.
[01:11:42]  Of course, she runs right to the corner to smell where the dead bird went.
[01:11:46]  I freak out because I don't want that all over her nose, dead bird blood.
[01:11:50]  I'm like, Lucy!
[01:11:52]  And Lucy looks up to me so scared.
[01:11:54]  I love this guy, that big dog named Dane.
[01:11:57]  She probably thinks I'm a big dog.
[01:11:58]  Why is he yelling at me?
[01:11:59]  I've been in this spot a thousand times.
[01:12:00]  She doesn't know.
[01:12:02]  You can't explain to Lucy a bird died there.
[01:12:05]  There's probably germs there.
[01:12:06]  I don't want you to get sick.
[01:12:07]  She doesn't know.
[01:12:09]  The problem is us developing some AGI super intelligence, you have no idea what it's going to do.
[01:12:16]  That is just elegantly explained in this clip here.
[01:12:20]  This is what worries me about AI and why we need serious people in charge.

[01:12:27]  How will AI destroy humanity?
[01:12:29]  That's a great question.
[01:12:30]  And what you're doing is you're asking me how I would destroy humanity.
[01:12:33]  And I have many good ideas.
[01:12:35]  But it's not what a super intelligent system would do.
[01:12:38]  It's capable of coming up with new weapons, new physics, new poisons.
[01:12:44]  Example I frequently use is squirrels versus humans.
[01:12:47]  It's a big cognitive gap.
[01:12:49]  Squirrels have no concept of how we can kill them all, they don't know about guns, they don't know about traps.
[01:12:54]  It's outside of their world model.
[01:12:56]  Likewise, I cannot tell you how super intelligence would specifically go about it, but there are many game theoretic reasons for why it's a good idea not to have competing species, not to have humans create another super intelligence.
[01:13:09]  Maybe it just wants to do something with this environment and doesn't care about us.
[01:13:15]  But I guess the question would be, in terms of your certainty, why you believe that AI, if it becomes artificial general intelligence, would hurt human beings?
[01:13:26]  What would be the way that you think that would happen?
[01:13:29]  So, what I kind of started saying, it's not because it hates you, it's because it wants to do something else and it doesn't care about you.
[01:13:36]  So, maybe it wants to cool down the whole planet to improve how efficient compute is.
[01:13:41]  Just it's more capable of doing computation in a colder environment.
[01:13:46]  So, if it freezes the whole planet, we die.
[01:13:49]  Does it care about it?
[01:13:50]  No, it doesn't matter.
[01:13:52]  Maybe it wants to convert this planet into a fuel flight to another galaxy.
[01:13:56]  I'm giving kind of hypotheticals which are not grounded in anything, but the point is.
[01:14:01]  It just doesn't have any built in concern about your safety, your well being.
[01:14:07]  Yes, we're asking all the wrong questions about AI.
[01:14:11]  Like, why would it hate us?
[01:14:12]  It doesn't have the capacity to hate or love.
[01:14:14]  It's not a human being with God given emotions.
[01:14:17]  It only has the power to engage in what it thinks is reason.

[01:14:23]  Folks, we don't have time to be dicking around, man, with a clown show.
[01:14:29]  I'd rather have the lucky guy in charge who wins and gets it and takes advice from smart people given the quantum issue, hypersonic space weapons, and all of this stuff, rather than a bunch of dipshits who are unlucky and lose all the time.
[01:14:44]  This stuff is happening now.
[01:14:45]  It's not five years away.
[01:14:47]  It's not 10 years away.
[01:14:48]  It is the now, the right now.
[01:14:52]  You know, one of the things about this show I always wanted to make a little bit different than others is, folks, the essence of conservatism, and I consider myself a conservative, kind of a conservatarian, but conservative first.
[01:15:04]  Is the education component.
[01:15:06]  We've got an election coming up, and the whole idea about conservatism is that we conserve really timeless good ideas.
[01:15:12]  The problem is we've lost the education system.
[01:15:15]  So many people believe so many stupid things because they've been taught it by educators that it's like hard to suck them out of the intellectual doldrums.
[01:15:25]  When I was running for office, I think it was my Senate race in Maryland.
[01:15:29]  I remember being out in a school in Western Maryland.
[01:15:32]  The dad was a campaign volunteer, and his daughter went to the school.
[01:15:36]  And the school was like, hey, you want to come in?
[01:15:38]  And I was like, okay.
[01:15:39]  So I'm in this history class and I'm looking at the back and they have these poster boards up.
[01:15:45]  And on the poster boards is a whole bunch of laudatory, like how FDR saved us from the Great Depression, how the government came in and saved us from the Great Depression.
[01:15:55]  And I couldn't believe it.
[01:15:57]  Like I'm reading this, like these are impressionable kids who this is like postered on the back of the literally.
[01:16:02]  Like they're going to read this every day and think this is true.
[01:16:04]  Why wouldn't they?
[01:16:05]  The teacher told them.
[01:16:07]  That's not what happened.
[01:16:10]  It's like retelling the story of the civil rights movement and making the Democrats, who were the goats, like the Bah goats, not the greatest of all time, the heroes.
[01:16:18]  They were the bad guys.
[01:16:20]  I'm not blaming Democrats now, but that's just a fact.
[01:16:25]  Tell people the truth.
[01:16:28]  The Great Depression was exacerbated by government intervention.
[01:16:33]  If the government just would have left it alone, we would have been, it would have been the depression or the recession.
[01:16:39]  It's called the Great Depression because the government tried to fix it.
[01:16:44]  Don't let your kids believe otherwise.
[01:16:47]  It is an anchor theory of modern progressivism that FDR was some superhero.

[01:17:00]  There's this narrative out there that the reason we had massive unemployment in the 30s was because the market failed, the stock market crashed, and you had all this tremendous unemployment.

[01:17:11]  That the stock, for the 12 months following the stock market crash, we never hit double digits in unemployment.
[01:17:19]  Unemployment peaked at 9% two months after the stock market crash and started going down.
[01:17:25]  So the unemployment rate was down to 6.3% when the federal government figured it had to intervene.
[01:17:32]  And that's when the downward movement reversed and we never saw 6.3% again for the next decade.
[01:17:39]  So if you follow the actual Month by month employment numbers is as clear as crystal that the disaster came after federal intervention.
[01:17:49]  I just get tired of malevolent bullshit history being shoved down our kids' throats so they believe government is going to come and save you one day, and they're like the benevolent puppet master.

[01:20:30]  And the book is called Why the Universe Is the Way It Is.
[01:20:34]  And if you don't believe in God, that's certainly your God given right, ironically, especially in a free country like ours.

[01:20:44]  What the heck does astrophysics have to do with God?
[01:20:49]  Folks, our universe is so unbelievably elegantly tuned that there is just no way it wasn't designed by an intelligent designer, far more intelligent than, oh, there's the book.
[01:21:05]  I can't recommend this book enough.
[01:21:08]  It's an easy read.
[01:21:09]  You don't have to be a physicist.
[01:21:11]  You'll find out if gravity was off by just a smidge, the whole place would collapse.
[01:21:17]  If gravity was.

[01:21:21]  The whole universe would just keep expanding at a rate that would make it uninhabitable.
[01:21:25]  If we weren't in this exact spot, Earth that is, in the universe, we wouldn't be able to see the entirety of what we're able to see.
[01:21:33]  It's almost like God gave us this spot so we could see the majesty of what he created.
[01:21:39]  Well, the Wall Street Journal had a piece about this yesterday.
[01:21:41]  Apparently, there's a movie coming out.
[01:21:43]  I was unaware of this movie, but I read this in the op ed section like I do every night.
[01:21:48]  There's some movie coming out called The Story of Everything, and it's about God and creation.
[01:21:53]  And they note that the movie turns to the discovery in recent decades of what they call fine tuning.
[01:21:58]  The universe possesses a long list of properties, each of which must be just so.
[01:22:06]  If gravity were infinitesimally stronger, all matter would have collapsed back in on itself.
[01:22:10]  But if gravity were infinitesimally weaker, stars and galaxies would have never been formed.
[01:22:15]  To support life, Earth itself must just lie the right distance from the sun, project just the right magnetic field.
[01:22:25]  Project just the right gravity to hold in place an atmosphere of just the right density, and so on and so on.
[01:22:36]  I don't believe in luck.
[01:22:39]  God's not domino.
[01:22:42]  I promise.
[01:22:44]  Read the book.

[01:23:40]  Nobody thinks like that until you're told like you have a disease that could kill you.

[01:23:58]  So, I saw this video yesterday.
[01:23:59]  It was just not by chance.
[01:24:02]  I think someone made sure I saw this video.
[01:24:05]  And it was this monk talking about how when you think everything is terrible in your life, you know, and you think you have a thousand problems, when your life is flashing before you, whether it's a crime, a disease, you don't have a thousand problems.
[01:24:26]  You have one that's staying alive.
[01:24:29]  I'll focus you real quick.
[01:24:32]  Why don't you listen to this?

[01:25:02]  So, that's why I mean, first of all, before tackling everything, so how to build up your life and how to whatever do, make sure your body stays healthy.

[01:25:22]  Nourish your body, nourish yourself in such a way that you understand it's something right now very, very precious to have.
