The Dan Bongino Show - The Bongino Brief - Nov 20, 2021 Aired: 2021-11-20 Duration: 11:22 === Liberals, Media Misinformation, Natural Disasters (03:07) === [00:00:00] Dan Bongino. [00:00:02] Welcome to the Bongino Brief. [00:00:03] I'm Dan Bongino. [00:00:05] So, you know, all week we've been covering this because it's important and it explains the bridge in this country between this new, growing, festering anti-liberty movement on the left and the pro-liberty patriotic movement on the right. [00:00:16] And we keep saying to each other, well, why don't we understand each other? [00:00:19] Well, we don't understand each other because us on the right, the liberty lovers, understand the real world to a greater degree than the left does. [00:00:26] I'm sorry, folks, but that's just a fact. [00:00:28] The numbers back it up. [00:00:30] Earlier in the week, I'm not going to repeat them, but we discussed how the left is the day to just ask them. [00:00:36] A lot of people on the left probably think the Rittenhouse victims, the people who are the victims of the shooting and Rittenhouse Wells, a victim of an attack. [00:00:44] There are multiple victims in this, right? [00:00:46] How these folks, most people think they were black. [00:00:50] The shooting, the people who were shot, they were not in fact black. [00:00:53] Everyone was white. [00:00:54] We talked about the coronavirus death and hospitalization rate. [00:00:57] How liberals consistently get that wrong. [00:00:59] They think it's ridiculously high when it's not. [00:01:01] We talked about police shootings. [00:01:03] How roughly half of liberals think that a thousand or more unarmed black men are shot per year by cops. [00:01:09] It's not even close. [00:01:10] The number's not even a hundred. [00:01:12] Now, the Trump tax cuts. [00:01:14] Most middle-class Democrats, when you ask them if they got a tax cut during the Trump tax cuts, despite that being factually accurate, will tell you no. [00:01:21] Here's another one I saw. [00:01:22] You sent this, right, Guy? [00:01:23] Guy found this one too. [00:01:24] How, again, why do we have a divide in this country? [00:01:27] Because of the media. [00:01:28] Liberals believe what the media tells them, and conservatives largely don't. [00:01:31] Here's a Washington Times story. [00:01:32] It's great, by Valerie Richardson. [00:01:34] Democrats more likely than Republicans to believe false claims on climate change. [00:01:38] Survey. [00:01:39] Gee, why's that? [00:01:40] Well, why is it? [00:01:41] It's because these silly, you know, liberal dopes, they believe what the lib media tells them. [00:01:47] Whereas conservatives are more likely to question everything the media says because there's a good chance they're lying. [00:01:55] Here, another poll. [00:01:57] The results found 42% of Democrats, and only 35% by the way, of Republicans, Agreed that, quote, more people are dying of natural disasters, even though such deaths have declined by more than 90% worldwide over the last century. [00:02:12] U.S. [00:02:12] deaths from natural disasters fell from 413 to 320 from 2019 to 2020, according to the International Disaster Database, another poll showing you again that liberals just don't know anything. [00:02:27] There are always more liberals on any issue of significance, global warming or whatever it is, that know less than conservatives. [00:02:34] They just don't know a lot. [00:02:36] Here's another one. [00:02:37] This is stunning from the Washington Times piece. [00:02:41] 71% of Democrats and 30% of Republicans agreed that, quote, climate change is increasing the cost of natural disasters as a percent of gross domestic product, GDP. [00:02:51] In reality, the share of GDP spent on natural disasters has either declined or remained flat when normalized, meaning when scientists take into account increased wealth and harm's way. === Henryusa Free Catalog (03:48) === [00:03:02] Think of the higher cost of a hurricane in Miami Beach today than in 1921 when there were so few buildings. [00:03:08] Folks, the cost to GDP of these incidents is going down. [00:03:11] And when you factor in the population exploding and more people living off the water, it's stunning that the cost hasn't exploded. [00:03:18] In other words, they are completely wrong. [00:03:20] 71% of Democrats don't understand that they're not getting more expensive when you normalize the data. [00:03:27] 7 out of 10 Democrats can't figure that out. [00:05:29] You're going to love this company. [00:05:31] Here. [00:05:32] You want to see how you're lied to again all the time by these leftist hacks? [00:05:36] Lied to. [00:05:37] That's why you should be proud. [00:05:38] And I'm so honored you support this podcast and the radio show. [00:05:42] We spend a lot of time, we do a lot of homework on this show. [00:05:45] And, you know, you may say to yourself, oh, you know, Dan, you debunk a lot of leftist nonsense all the time. [00:05:50] But there's a reason. [00:05:51] We've got a campaign season coming up that's going to be fought in the battlefield of ideas, at least with us. [00:05:56] And I want everyone out there to go out there armed with a good set, an armory of facts and data, because you'll never, ever lose a debate to these leftist nuts. [00:06:05] They just don't know anything. [00:06:06] And they don't know anything because of people like Peppermint. [00:06:09] Here's Peppermint Patty, up there yesterday at the White House briefing, again, excuse me, it was a couple days ago, with Peter Alexander, who I believe is from NBC. [00:06:18] He asks a fair question. [00:06:19] He's like, listen, you guys are going to now print another, you know, whatever, $1.7 trillion for the Biden Build Back Worse plan. === Economists Warn About Inflation (04:56) === [00:06:28] Inflation's through the roof. [00:06:31] Obviously, kind of summing it up. [00:06:33] Aren't you guys worried about this at all? [00:06:35] Listen to this enormous whopper. [00:06:37] I mean, Peppermint lies about everything. [00:06:40] We get that. [00:06:40] I mean, she doesn't tell the truth about any issue of substance. [00:06:43] But this one is really insane. [00:06:46] I mean, it's not that she's an idiot. [00:06:48] Again, she thinks you're an idiot if you buy this. [00:06:50] Check this out. [00:06:52] On the state of America right now, inflation obviously at a 31-year high right now. [00:06:56] Americans are seeing their dollars, their paychecks stretched right now. [00:07:00] Why should Americans not be concerned that injecting another $1.75 trillion or more would further raise inflation? [00:07:08] Because no economist out there is projecting that this will have a negative impact on inflation. [00:07:15] Huh? [00:07:19] Oh, we haven't done this in a while. [00:07:23] Holding? [00:07:24] What's holding? [00:07:25] 15 yards? [00:07:26] 10 yards? [00:07:27] Repeat first down? [00:07:29] What? [00:07:31] Is she? [00:07:31] You know, my father's here this week. [00:07:34] Running around the studio. [00:07:35] He used to tell us when we were kids, are you off this earth? [00:07:37] When we would do something. [00:07:38] Don't ask me what it meant. [00:07:39] Maybe he'll come up and say, Dad, come on and tell us what that meant. [00:07:42] I have no idea what it meant. [00:07:43] Is she off this earth? [00:07:45] No economist is suggesting. [00:07:47] There are. [00:07:47] I don't want to say literally because I hate the word and I've said it too many times. [00:07:53] Thousands? [00:07:55] Tens of thousands? [00:07:56] I don't even know. [00:07:58] Just put it in a search engine. [00:07:59] Economists warning about inflation. [00:08:02] You want me to make it real simple for you? [00:08:05] I didn't even pick the Republican ones, or the conservative-leaning ones. [00:08:08] I didn't. [00:08:09] I want to pick you. [00:08:10] Not only are there thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of economists predicting mass inflation, I went and grabbed not only a Democrat, but the Bill Clinton former Treasury Secretary, a noted economist, Larry Summers. [00:08:27] This guy's a Democrat! [00:08:29] He was the Bill Clinton Treasury Secretary. [00:08:32] Here he is on, what is it, CNBC or CNN? [00:08:37] Here he is on CNN saying exactly what Jen Psaki says. [00:08:43] No economist is saying, keep in mind, this is a Democrat. [00:08:46] Nobody's talking about inflation, Joe, except everybody. [00:08:49] Check this out. [00:08:50] Given that you were worried about this before almost anybody else, and given that now you've got all these CEOs saying it's going to go a year, maybe even past that, right? [00:09:00] At that point, it wouldn't be transitory. [00:09:02] How long do you think inflation is going to go up? [00:09:05] I think the odds are that we're going to have inflation of a kind we haven't seen in 30 years until either the Fed takes some significant move with respect to monetary policy, Or until there's some kind of accident. [00:09:25] Nobody. [00:09:26] Nobody, Guy. [00:09:27] Nobody's talking about it, Joe. [00:09:29] Wait, wait, just to be clear, Isaki in that cut, I forget what, did she say, what was the exact, is there any way to cue that up again without screwing up the show? [00:09:40] I want to hear exactly her, play it again, I want to hear exactly her words. [00:09:43] Did she say not one, On the state of America right now, inflation obviously at a 31-year high right now. [00:09:50] Americans are seeing their dollars, their paychecks stretched right now. [00:09:54] Why should Americans not be concerned that injecting another 1.75 trillion dollars or more would further raise inflation? [00:10:02] Because no economist out there is projecting that this will have a negative impact on inflation. [00:10:08] Okay, no economists, except hundreds of thousands of people, probably tens of thousands of professional economists, hundreds of thousands of people who have experience with economics, like I do, but aren't professional economists. [00:10:22] No one. [00:10:23] No one, Joe. [00:10:23] There's no economists, except Larry. [00:10:28] You're kind of getting where we're going with this? [00:10:31] How you have an America that loves this country, loves economic freedom, loves religious freedom, loves the right to assemble, loves a peaceful protest that's all Americana. [00:10:41] Now you understand why they're upset? [00:10:44] Because you've got another half of America that lives in a fantasy land that doesn't exist. [00:10:49] They're lied to. [00:10:50] Oh, the climate change is killing us. [00:10:52] Trump didn't give us a tax cut. [00:10:54] Coronavirus kills 90% of the people it infects. [00:10:58] Rittenhouse shot a bunch of black guys. [00:11:01] No economist is predicting inflation. [00:11:03] You live in a world that doesn't exist. [00:11:05] Aren't you embarrassed? [00:11:06] Reminds me of that Sebastian Maniscalco skit, the comedian who's hilarious. [00:11:10] Aren't you embarrassed? [00:11:12] You're not humiliated that you're being lied to? [00:11:16] They think you're an idiot. [00:11:18] I'm not joking. [00:11:19] They talk to you like you're a child and an idiot.
