The Dan Bongino Show - The Bongino Brief - May 08, 2021 Aired: 2021-05-08 Duration: 07:23 === People Are Starting to Come Around (07:22) === [00:00:00] Dan Bongino. [00:00:02] Welcome to the Bongino Brief. [00:00:03] I'm Dan Bongino. [00:00:05] So, um, you know, I know we've had a lot of bad news over the last few months. [00:00:09] Again, I don't, I don't ever want to run from that. [00:00:12] I see it. [00:00:12] I read your emails. [00:00:13] People are, I think they're starting to come around a little bit. [00:00:15] People are ready to, you know, to get up off the mat, dust off and get back in the fight. [00:00:19] I understand. [00:00:20] Believe me. [00:00:20] I understand. [00:00:21] I get it. [00:00:22] I've run for office myself. [00:00:23] Proudly. [00:00:24] Didn't win. [00:00:25] Proud to have done it. [00:00:26] I don't run from it at all. [00:00:27] I mean, I love when liberals say, you ran for office and lost. [00:00:30] I'm like, really? [00:00:31] You didn't have the guts to do any of that. [00:00:33] So what are you doing? [00:00:34] You sat in the ring and screamed from the sidelines throwing popcorn. [00:00:37] I'm proud to have done it. [00:00:39] But losing stinks. [00:00:40] I know. [00:00:40] Believe me, I've been there. [00:00:41] It's horrible. [00:00:44] I mean, in the 2020 election, given what happened with all the election changes, people are obviously ticked off. [00:00:50] A lot of people feel like, losing, that's all BS. [00:00:56] I get it. [00:00:57] I get why you're upset. [00:00:58] But we are going to have to fight. [00:01:01] We can't learn to be helpless, like Seligman's experiments. [00:01:05] We can't do that. [00:01:07] So here's some good news. [00:01:10] People have had enough. [00:01:11] Especially parents who are getting awfully tired of sending kindergartners to school with a face diaper on their face that does absolutely nothing to prevent those kids from contacting or contracting this coronavirus. [00:01:26] They're tired of it. [00:01:28] And it goes back to my beach ball hypothesis. [00:01:31] That the longer you try to push the beach ball underwater, your arms eventually get tired and the beach ball eventually explodes through the surface. [00:01:41] You can't keep people under lockdown forever. [00:01:44] You can't. [00:01:45] You want to wear a mask, do your thing. [00:01:47] Really, I have no problem. [00:01:49] I'm a freedom lover, unlike liberals. [00:01:51] If you choose to wear a mask, the deuce, the double mask, the trifecta, the three masks, go ahead. [00:01:58] Knock yourself out. [00:01:59] Have a good time. [00:02:02] I actually believe in freedom. [00:02:04] But demanding kids with very little evidence that this infection spreads among you wear these masks all day in school, which interrupts their breathing patterns. [00:02:14] You saw that woman pass out at that track meet wearing a mask while running a race. [00:02:18] How ridiculous is that? [00:02:19] It's insane. [00:02:20] And parents have had enough. [00:02:21] You doubt me? [00:02:22] Let's play video number one. [00:02:23] Here is an absolute revolt. [00:02:25] You may have seen this in Arizona at a school board meeting. [00:02:29] This was about, I don't know, two weeks ago. [00:02:32] The school board meeting. [00:02:33] The parents had had enough. [00:02:34] They vote out the whole school board. [00:02:36] The school board resigns en masse and they swear in a new school board right away who are done with this whole mask mandate with kids. [00:02:43] Check this video out. [00:02:44] Our radio listeners, you can listen to it. [00:02:45] This is really good. [00:02:46] Check this out. [00:02:49] fight if they don't quit we're hearing they've all quit. [00:02:56] That's four. We didn't vote on you. [00:02:56] We didn't vote on you. Hey, we already had somebody here. [00:03:06] Okay, so she has to be nominated. [00:03:13] Seconded. Okay. All in favor of Tiffany. Aye. Opposed. Aye. [00:03:20] [BLANK_AUDIO] [00:03:21] Alright, full name? [00:03:22] Tiffany Sanders. [00:03:23] Alright, so that's five. [00:03:25] They've all been elected based on a Robert's Rules of Order? [00:03:28] You know, folks, one of the guys I've been reading, one of the authors, you've probably heard of him, Jordan Peterson. [00:03:33] I like a lot of his work. [00:03:35] Don't agree with everything, but I like a lot of Jordan Peterson. [00:03:37] He's been through a lot of personal struggles. [00:03:39] And Jordan Peterson talks about this thing, and I don't think he's talking about politics, but I am. [00:03:42] He mentions this concept of, you know, if you really want to change the world, we have to make our own beds first. [00:03:48] I've argued to you repeatedly that the do matters, action matters, doing matters. [00:03:51] Talk is cheap. [00:03:52] It's great. [00:03:53] Talk is great because it motivates the do. [00:03:55] But if you hear talk and you give speeches and you don't do stuff, nothing else is going to have the do matter. [00:03:59] You have to do something. [00:04:01] That something doesn't have to be one fell swoop, change the world tomorrow. [00:04:05] To change the world, we should make our own beds first. [00:04:08] I take that to mean, he doesn't get very political, but I do. [00:04:12] You want to fix this? [00:04:14] We got to start working on our own towns first and then expand out. [00:04:18] These people in Arizona had enough. [00:04:20] All school board out. [00:04:21] Goodbye. [00:04:22] See you later. [00:04:22] New one sworn in right away. [00:04:25] Here's a situation from Utah. [00:04:27] I think it happened last night or the night before. [00:04:29] They had another school board meeting in Utah. [00:04:31] Well, they wanted to diaper face up the kids too. [00:04:34] Parents had about enough of that one. [00:04:37] Here's what happened in Utah after that one. [00:04:39] Check this out. [00:04:42] All right, we're actually going to close. [00:04:43] You haven't signed up, ma'am. [00:04:45] We're going to close. [00:04:46] You let a senator come up here and speak in the name of my children who you guys are abusing? [00:04:53] Are you serious? [00:04:55] You broke my heart! [00:04:57] You broke my face! [00:04:59] You broke my heart! [00:05:01] You broke my face! [00:05:03] I am counting! [00:05:04] We're going to follow. [00:05:07] We've had our citizen participation. [00:05:09] We're going to follow. [00:05:11] We've had that. [00:05:13] [Chanting] [00:05:15] We told you. [00:05:17] We've never just gained. [00:05:19] We've never just gained. [00:05:21] [Chanting] [00:05:23] No more gas! [00:05:25] No more gas! [00:05:27] Splendor! [00:05:27] I move that we adjourn this meeting. [00:05:30] I vote yes! [00:05:32] I vote yes! [00:05:36] It begins. [00:05:38] But it always begins locally. [00:05:41] Sometimes we gotta make our own beds first in our own room. [00:05:45] It's happening. [00:05:47] I don't want you to wake up every morning depressed that the world is gonna burn. [00:05:51] Listen, it may. [00:05:54] It may. [00:05:55] Things are bad. [00:05:56] But it may not. [00:05:58] And there's a pretty good chance it may not. [00:06:02] And it may not because people are making their own beds in their own room and cleaning up their towns. [00:06:08] Well, that's not it. [00:06:09] There's another one. [00:06:10] You may have missed this story in South Lake, Texas. [00:06:13] This is from a couple weeks ago. [00:06:15] New York Post. [00:06:16] Opponents of critical race theory. [00:06:18] I'm just going to start calling it critical racism theory because it's racist. [00:06:21] Opponents of critical racism theory win Texas school board election. [00:06:25] This is from South Lake, Texas. [00:06:27] Where they booted every one of these critical racism theory supporters out and voted in new people. [00:06:35] That promote equality. [00:06:37] Judging people by their character. [00:06:39] Things we used to all believe in. [00:06:43] Folks, there are good things happening. [00:06:46] And the best way to get good things to happen is to make our own beds locally first. [00:06:50] Doesn't mean we can't fight the national stuff. [00:06:53] I just covered a big huge international issue with George Soros. [00:06:56] We can keep the heat on. [00:06:59] But with people like Ron DeSantis and this growing crop of young leaders now being energized and marshaled together to fight this common cause against coronavirus-induced tyranny, critical racism theory, we're energizing another generation of leaders right now that's gonna make for a solid bench for the conservative movement in the future.
