So, yesterday, we had the verdict come out.
It was supposed to come out around 4.30 Eastern time.
Or was it 3.30?
It didn't come out till later.
But some of the responses to the Derek Chauvin trial, the officer involved in the death of George Floyd, came out yesterday guilty.
He was guilty on a second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and I believe manslaughter charge as well.
He was guilty on all counts.
The jury came back with a verdict in But I've never seen someone come back so fast.
But I'll get to that in a minute.
I'll give you my thoughts and what I think the takeaways from the Chauvin trial are.
But first, some of the most bizarre responses to this trial.
Bizarre even by Democrat-Liberal standards.
So bizarre, I want you to see them because I almost don't know what to say about them.
First, video of Nancy Pelosi Talking about a sacrifice?
Like this was some- I don't even know what to say about this one.
Guy, play Nancy Pelosi, please.
Thank you, George Floyd, for sacrificing your life for justice.
For being there to call out to your mom.
How heartbreaking was that?
Call out for your mom.
I can't breathe.
But because of you and because of thousands, millions of people around the world who came out for justice, your name will always be synonymous with justice.
I'm just going to let that one stand as is.
You can form your own opinion about that.
Here's bizarre, tragic response number two to the Chauvin verdict yesterday.

Keep in mind, the verdict was guilty on all charges.
All charges.
That was the verdict.
And you have some protesters outside.
What they're protesting, I'm genuinely not sure.
Did you want guilty on charges that weren't charges?
Did you want extra charges thrown in at the last minute?
I don't know what the protest and what their anger was about yesterday.
So here's a trucker just driving outside the courthouse and people decide to attack his truck and try to get at him too.

Guy decides it's a good idea to jump on the front of his truck and bounce around and try to destroy his property.
Poor guy's just trying to do his job.
They're trying, as you can see, to get in the window of the side of the trucker car.
I don't know, to do what?
What are they trying to do to him?

I doubt that.
Again, I don't know what that was all about.
I don't understand.
Do you object to the guilty plea?
Did you want a not guilty plea?
Or a not guilty verdict?
I mean, I'm just asking if the protesters would like to come on.
Maybe you can send us a video of your response.
What were you protesting?
Did you want a not guilty verdict?
Did you want an extra guilty verdict?
Are we inventing new levels of justice?
Super extra jumbo guilty?
Did we miss something?
Here's the craziest of the craziest responses.
Again, I had to narrow it down to three.
I'll give you my takeaways again in a minute.
Now I want to get to Geraldo.
Again, totally clueless.
Let's see if me and Geraldo are on hand.
I'm not sure.
I haven't gotten the email yet.
Here is Jason Johnson, one of the most misinformed human beings on planet Earth.
He's an MSNBC commentator.
Just quickly, I have some background with this guy.
Jason Johnson, who if there's a situation to have an opinion on, you can almost be guaranteed Jason Johnson's opinion is wrong on it.
I debated this guy at Politicon in Los Angeles one time, it's a political convention, about the whole Spygate disaster, and he was so grossly uninformed about the topic we were debating about, Spygate, not a joke, that he had to have the moderators save him from just humiliation on the stage.
So I have some familiarity with Jason and his profound ignorance.
So here's Jason on MSNBC after the verdict.
He's not happy with the guilty verdict.
I don't know what he wanted.
Again, extra super jumbo guilty.
I'm not sure.
It was guilty on all charges.
But Jason Johnson's not happy.
Again, a guy who's you could almost be guaranteed every time his opinion is going to be the wrong one.
He's really upset because he thinks this is just a a nominal degree of justice.
Again, listen to this just bizarre, tragic, absurd response to the verdict.

I'll say this, Nicole.
Like I said, I actually always thought that he would be found guilty because it's sort of a cultural makeup call.
But I'm not happy.
I'm not pleased.
I don't have any sense of satisfaction.
I don't think this is a system working.
I don't think this is a good thing.
What this says to me Is that in order to get a nominal degree of justice in this country, that a black man has to be murdered on air, viewed by the entire world, there have to be a year's worth of protests and a phalanx of other white police officers to tell one white officer that he was wrong in order to get one scintilla of justice.
That doesn't make me feel happy.
That doesn't make me feel satisfied.
It makes me worry about what's going to happen when these other officers are held on trial.
It makes me upset all the more that we didn't have this for Breonna Taylor.
It makes me concerned about what's going to happen in a trial for Ahmaud Arbery.
So, no.
I mean, this is not the system working.
This is a makeup call.
This is the justice system trying to say that, hey, this is one bad apple,
cuz that's how this is gonna be interpreted. I need a cough button.

The man was convicted on all counts.
There were only three possible outcomes, right?
Guilty on all counts.
Not guilty on all counts, or guilty on some counts.
Is there something I'm missing there?
I take that back.
There could have been a mistrial as well.
Four possible.
Of those, if you were looking for maximum punishment, the guilty on all counts was the maximum punishment.
But Jason Johnson is still not happy.
Because again, when you're looking to promote Division and strife.
There is no answer good enough for you because if the answer you want is given, guilty on all counts, that's the answer he wanted, then you serve no purpose anymore.
What am I going to do now?
There's no conflict for me to start.
I got an idea.
I'll just say guilty on all counts isn't enough.
We need more extra super jumbo guilty or something.
A couple of thoughts on this and some takeaways.
It's going to be an important segment here and I encourage you to stay tuned for this, please.

The date is Wednesday, April 21st.

Give it six months and I guarantee you the crime rate in Minneapolis, where the Justice Department will be investigating the police, will explode.
It's exploded already.
There is an almost 100% correlation between Justice Department investigations of police departments and crime exploding after that.
You doubt me?
You can look it up yourself.
That's takeaway number one.
If you're a resident of Minneapolis and you're a taxpayer, get ready.
Get ready for your crime rates to explode on the streets you are paying to have secured via your tax dollars.

Second, For the people out there calling for justice, I don't think you understand sometimes what justice is.
Justice matters most when the subject you deem to be the least deserving of justice is the one on trial.
Stand by for a second on that, because that's an important... I'll give you an analogy, hopefully make that easier.
Most of you get what I'm saying.
I don't mean to sound in any way, you know, demeaning about it.
I'm sorry.
But think about it in terms of free speech, right?
The constitutional big R, God-given right to free speech.
Does it really matter when you're in a group of people talking about how wonderful your kids are?
No, because no one's trying to stop you from speaking freely about your kids because it's a pleasant conversation, right?
Well, when does the big R God-given right to free speech matter?
It matters when you are saying something people disagree with and are trying to stop you from saying it.
Therefore, you can claim your big R God-given right to free speech, right?
Again, I'm sorry.
I know the high-level people, the conservatives and libertarians and Mayonians get all this, but there are liberals who listen who have a tough time with this.
Free speech like justice only matters when you're saying something people disagree with.
Because there's no fight if everyone agrees.
And if there's no fight, there's no right for you to have to worry about to win that fight.
Well, justice works the same way.
People out there who felt that Derek Chauvin and his actions deemed him not worthy of justice, that we should have a Quick?
Some people have argued for an unnecessary trial and just convict them right away?
There are videos out there of people talking about this.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, if we're going to have true justice in this story, again, it only matters when it applies to the people you deem least worthy of justice.
Think about John Adams, one of our founders, defending the British soldiers.
Involved in the shooting incident.
The massacre.
He knew.
Despite the fact that the public outcry against him was going to be overwhelming, that justice only mattered when the subject on trial is deemed the least worthy of justice.
Just like free speech only really matters, air quotes, when there's an altercation or a confrontation about what is free speech.
Free speech doesn't matter when everybody's talking about things everybody agrees with and no one's questioning if it's free.
Why do I bring this up that justice matters most?
Because folks, here is the President of the United States, Joe Biden, in a video, commenting on a case.
Keep in mind, this is before the jury, before the jury had come to a conclusion.

Again, throwing a monkey wrench into justice when he could have just shut his mouth for a few hours and given a speech afterwards.
Check this out.
I can only imagine.
The pressure and anxiety they're feeling.
And so I waited until the jury was sequestered, and I called.
And as I wasn't going to say anything about it, but Thelonious said today on television, and he accurately said, it was a private conversation because Joe understands what it's like to go through loss.
And they're a good family.
And they're calling for peace and tranquility, no matter what that verdict is.
I'm praying the verdict is the right verdict, which is, I think it's overwhelming in my view.
I wouldn't say that unless the jury was sequestered now and not hear me say that.
This is the head of the law enforcement branch of our federal government, the executive branch, praying for the right verdict.
The right verdict.
Right before the jury's about to release their verdict.
You think that's justice?
Here's my second thought on this.
Listen, it's clear the defense, the lawyers defending Officer Chauvin obviously played for a hung jury.
And I thought that they did a decent job installing reasonable doubt on the murder charge.
But there's a process.
I talk about process all the time.
There have been no allegations of jury misconduct.
And that is the process.
The jury, which was agreed to, obviously, by the defense and the prosecution and the judge, there have been no allegations of misconduct.
There's been no mistrial.
They heard the evidence.
Evidence, you and I, I didn't hear all of it.
I listened to as much and watched as much of the trials as I could.
Did not hear everything.
They came to a guilty on all charges verdict.
But folks, that process also allows for appeal.
I think the Murder 2 charge, I thought, was a stretch from the beginning.
I have also been conclusive and have not changed my mind one bit on my interpretation of the unjustified use of force at the end here.
Unlike liberals who change their minds every few minutes, I'm standing on principle on this.
Having said that, The lack of a sequester for the jury, who many of them may have heard Maxine Waters calling for a confrontation if the quote, you know, wrong verdict, not quoting her, I'm quoting myself, the wrong, that's what she was implying, inciting violence.
Some of them may have heard that.
The speed of the jury's decision.
It's interesting.
Is there going to be grounds for an appeal?
Folks, that's the process too.
You can't argue, and I refuse to argue.
I will not change what I've said from day one on this.
Respect the process.
We did.
The process, the jurors came down with a guilty on all charges count.
Whether you agree or disagree, that is the process.
You can't say respect the process and then not respect the process.
Secondly, the process allows for an appeal.
You think there was an overcharging and a guilty verdict on a charge that wasn't warranted by the evidence?
Chauvin has the opportunity to appeal on that as well.
Having said that, the speed at which they came back is odd.
Buyer beware, I have been involved in multiple trials as a federal agent and a police officer, okay?
I have not been involved in a murder trial.
But I have not seen or heard, knowing many police officers who have, A jury come back that quickly.
Having said that, giving you the other side of it, because I like to give you both sides, when it comes down to a decision like this and the top charge is murder two, and the subsequent charges are murder three and a manslaughter charge, the elements of it are generally the same outside of a couple other factors.
If you agree to the top charge, murder two, which obviously they all agreed on, the verdict had to be unanimous, the other two fell in line quickly.
So there's two sides of it.
Some people are saying they came back so fast, clearly they had already come to a decision before hearing all the evidence and there should be grounds for appeal.
That's what one side is saying.
The other side saying, well, if they all agreed on the top charge, the murder two charge, the other charges right away would fall in line.
Again, I owe you somewhat of a professional analysis here, given all the hysteria and the Jason Johnson, Nancy Pelosi nonsense.
All right, I want to get to point three.

The most important takeaway from yesterday's trial, in my determination here, Is did you notice that in the trial, and again I did not see every second of it, but I saw a lot of it, that race and racism was never brought up?
I didn't see it.
Or if it was brought up, it was brought up sparingly and I missed it.
So what's really strange about this is when you're under oath as both a witness and you're asking a witness a question where they're required by law under the penalty of perjury after raising their right hand to answer a question honestly, when you're required to answer a question honestly and ask a question as a prosecutor or defense attorney that solicits an honest response, racism was never brought up in this trial.
So the lawyers didn't bring it up, the defense didn't bring it up, the prosecution didn't bring up racism, yet every time you hear a politician on the left comment about the case, what's the first thing they bring up?
I'll wait, hold on, let's do the countdown.
Wait, wait.
Racism every time!
So weird!
Strange how that happens.
What does that tell you about our society?
Where when you're obligated to be truthful under the penalty of perjury in a judicial proceeding, racism never comes up.
There was no mention of a documented past history of overtly racist acts by the police officer.
There was no insinuation that there was a racist motive in the death of George Floyd.
It wasn't brought up.
Maybe because if it was brought up and you were forced to give a truthful answer, That truthful answer wouldn't fit the leftist political narrative that everything in our society is motivated by race all the time.
Everything.
That is all the left has.
Everything to them has to be about race because when you have to give facts under oath, they don't have them.
Because as I've been saying for the last two shows, and please don't miss yesterday's show, we had a drop off when the verdict, yesterday's show was important.

The police killed an unarmed 15-year-old black girl, which would infuriate you if you were a sane, rational person.
My gosh, why would they do that?
The New York Times was even Kind enough to quote the tweet, but they left a part out!
This is fascinating.

They quote Benjamin Crump's tweet, but they left a certain part out.
I'll tell you why in a minute.

Quote, another child lost, another hashtag.
That's really interesting because they left the whole unarmed part out, the New York Times.
Why?
If the police shot an unarmed 15-year-old girl, that's something we in the public, the police have a monopoly on the use of force.
Every use of force instance that results in injury or death should be scrutinized.
Why did they leave the unarmed part out, The New York Times, in Crump's tweet?
Because if you look at this photo, a still shot from the officer's body cam, highlighted there, the 15-year-old girl's hand, you will see a knife in a mid-stab motion.
Uh, can you keep that up a second?
Because it's going to require some extra scrutiny here.
So Crump suggested in his tweet that this 15-year-old girl was unarmed, unless that is some magical extension of her right hand, some kind of superhero power she has we're unaware of.
That looks like a knife to me!
In case you doubt me, because we do actual facts, unlike Ben Crump, the New York Times, and others.

As the Chauvin verdict's coming down, Columbus, Ohio cops shot and killed Makia Bryant, a black 16-year-old girl, in the act of trying to stab two other girls with a kitchen knife.
All right, well... And he goes on.
The body cam footage shows three or four shots fired, killing the troubled kid.
Knife found lying by her body.
Why no taser?
Oh, my God.
Can't take this guy anymore.
Folks, by the way, just before I go, for some of you out there who think, I get this a lot on email and social media, if you think these confrontations I have with him are staged or Some kind of like Fox News thing where we're all in cahoots like, hey, let's have a fake argument on TV.
I'm telling you on everything in my heart, my soul, on my integrity, I'll mail you my right.
There is nothing staged about any of that.
I genuinely dislike Geraldo's really stupid opinions on these matters.
If you think that's an act, you don't know me.
I'm getting tired of Dunning-Kruger ignoramuses who don't understand anything about use of force continuums and haven't spent five minutes in policing calling out a cop who literally probably just saved a woman's life who was about to be stabbed.
When someone is using force that could result in a serious physical injury, a knife in the hand, or death, can we all agree that a knife is a means to inflict serious physical injury or death?
Can we just stop a second and process that?
Does anyone listening to the show seriously question that?
That if you are stabbed, the injury will be serious or you could die.
Anyone?
When you engage in an activity, a stabbing or potential stabbing, that could cause a serious physical injury or death, which we all agree a knife is, police use of force rules pretty much all over the world dictate that the officer can use deadly force to stop you from killing or seriously physically injuring someone else.
Geraldo clearly doesn't know that, because a taser is not deadly force.
Deadly force is authorized, in situations like that, to stop the killing of another person.
A police officer.
Listen to me here, please.
Geraldo, open your ears for a minute.
Take the cotton out of your ears and stick it in that mouth of yours.
A police officer is under no obligation whatsoever to use an equal amount of force in a scenario where a serious physical injury could result.
You may say to yourself, that doesn't sound right, Dan.

So you're suggesting to me if a woman pulls out a knife and is in mid-stab from all appearances from that video in the still shot, could kill the woman, right?
Probably would.
You're suggesting that the officer should do what?
Take out his own knife and engage in a knife fight?
Like this is some kind of Zorro movie?
Are you really that stupid?
Police are authorized to use a superseding amount of force to stop someone from killing or seriously physically injuring someone else.
If you're bashing someone in the head with a baseball bat and the fatal blow is coming down, you're suggesting the police officer should get out his PR24 baton and engage in like a stick fight?

Graffiti gangs were big.
My wife always gets a kick out of when I tell her the Gang we started, we were kids, it was called AAC.

Yes, and when we were kids in Glendale, kids were proud of being part of a criminal syndicate.

But the neighborhood could get rough at times.

And right in front of my brother, he stabs him.

My brother was forced to testify at the trial.
He came to our house.

As I said to you with the left, nothing is about facts, everything is about race, and they will not be happy until racial strife in this country has reached an infinity differential equations type asymptote at the top.

Here's the evidence.
There was a hearing yesterday on the Georgia law, the Georgia voter integrity law, which is now passed and signed, thankfully.
So, Senator Ted Cruz, he's had kind of enough of the leftist BS.
So, Stacey Abrams, fake Governor of Georgia, is testifying right there in the hearing yesterday.
And she keeps claiming that this Georgia law, which basically asks for voter ID and makes it easier to vote, just very hard to cheat, you know, voter ID, which is pretty standard, right?
Produce an ID.
You've got to produce an ID to buy allergy medication at a pharmacy.
You should probably have to produce ID to vote.
Pretty fair, right?
But Stacey Abrams thinks this is racist.
They think it's Jim Crow.
So here's first Ted Cruz pinning Stacey Abrams down on if she thinks her election in Georgia when she lost was stolen.

Abrams, it's been over two years and you still refuse to concede that you lost the race for governor in Georgia in 2018.
You have said that, quote, you do not concede that the process was proper.
And that, quote, they stole it from the voters of Georgia.
Yes or no, today, do you still maintain that the 2018 Georgia election was stolen?
As I have always said, I acknowledged at the very beginning that Brian Kemp won under the rules that were in place.
What I object to are rules that permitted thousands of Georgia voters to be denied their participation in this election, to have their votes cast out.
And so I will continue to disagree with the system until it is fixed.
We have seen marked progress made and unfortunately it was undone in SB 202.
But I will continue to advocate for a system that permits every eligible Georgian to cast their ballots.
I thought, I don't know, I thought we weren't allowed because the media likes to tell us what we're allowed and not allowed to do.
I just give the media the double-barreled finger and talk about what I want because I'm an actual constitutionalist who actually believes in free speech, unlike our new Pravda-like totalitarian media.
But I was told by them that we were not allowed to talk about stolen elections, yet Stacey Abrams is still insisting that somehow she's the governor of Georgia and the election was stolen.
So nice job with Ted Cruz, who I see what he did there.
He's obviously much smarter than Stacey Abrams, who I don't know if she doesn't realize she's being set up here, but she was.
She didn't see it coming because Stacey Abrams is like, oh, you know, President Trump lost.
Don't you dare say it's a stolen election.
Stacey, was your election stolen?
My election was stolen!
Missed the kind of a disconnect there.
Here's part two of this.
So Ted Cruz, who outsmarts her, Ask Stacey Abrams about, you know, you think this new Georgia voter ID law, you think it's racist?
Is there a turnout problem in Georgia amongst black voters?
Because if there is, I haven't heard about it.
And listen to Stacey Abrams totally faceplant when she has to produce facts indicating that Georgia's got some pattern of racism in stopping blacks from voting.

So you also told the New York Times that your loss, quote, was fully attributable to voter suppression.
Ms.
Abrams, do you know in Georgia whether the percentage of African-American Georgians who are registered to vote and who turned out to vote, is it higher or lower than the national average?
It is higher than the national average because Georgia is one of the largest states with an African-American population.
But that's not tied to the size of the population.
The percentage of black Georgians who are registered to vote in 2018 is 64.7%.
That compares to 60.2% as the national average.
The percentage of Georgians who voted in 2018, the election you claim was stolen from you, was 56.3%.
That's higher than the national average of 48%.
Let me ask you this, Ms.
Abrams.
In 2018, do you know which demographic group in Georgia Had the highest registration percentage and the highest turnout percentage.
I have a guess, but I will defer to you for the answer.
The answer is African Americans had the highest registration and the highest turnout despite your claiming that the election was stolen and there was somehow voter suppression.
You ever get the feeling you're getting played if you're a liberal?
You ever get that feeling?
The Chauvin trial and the death of George Floyd was endlessly discussed in liberal circles in terms of racism, yet racism never comes up at the trial when there are actual facts and criminal penalties on the line for misstating facts.
Weird, right?
And yet when, again, you're under oath in some proceeding in the Senate as well, and you're asked to back up your case that Georgia's a racist state where blacks are being prevented from voting, and Ted Cruz shows that black turnout in Georgia is actually higher.
By the way, Stacey Abrams doesn't understand somehow the difference between percentages and raw numbers.
Very strange.
She can't back that up!

But as someone who's actually experienced Jim Crow laws, I'd like to set the record straight on the myths regarding the recently passed Georgia state law, and why any comparison between this law and Jim Crow is absolutely outrageous.
Here are a few examples of my own life of what Jim Crow laws actually look like.
At the age of 12, my father allowed me to participate in a demonstration with college students in front of the segregated Florida State Theater, where because of our color, we could not enter.
I was the youngest participant there.
Only 50 years later did I learn that my father parked across the street to watch and make sure I was safe.
In the 7th grade, my school never received new books.
Instead, we received books from the all-white school across town.
At service stations, there were white men-only restrooms, white women-only restrooms, and a filthy restroom in the back of the station for black Americans designated as colored.
In addition, Jim Crow laws like poll tax, property tests, literacy tests, And violence and intimidation at the polls made it nearly impossible for Black Americans to vote.
The section of the Georgia law that has brought so much outrage from the left, it simply requires any person applying for an absentee ballot to include evidence of a government-issued ID on their application.
If a voter does not have a driver's license or ID card, that voter can use a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, Representative Owens goes on to explain, after schooling the Democrats on the indignities of Jim Crow, about how displaying a utility bill, a driver's license, a social security number,
If you believe that asking people to do that is racist, then you are in fact basically a racist yourself, because you're somehow hinting black people aren't smart enough to do that, which sounds kind of racist to me, because it is!
Now here's this senator from Utah, Senator Mike Lee, friend of mine.
Mike Lee pointing out in this brief clip that Jim Crow, which the Democrats titled their hearing yesterday, discussing again a voter integrity bill in Georgia, That Jim Crow was supported by Southern Democrats.
This may be news to the young liberals who recently found my show.
That the history of Jim Crow laws and the indignity of colored lunch counters, colored bathrooms, colored water fountains, the disgrace and stain on our history was brought about by who?
Yes, Democrats.
Listen to this.
We have to remember that it was in fact Republicans who pushed through the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments of the Constitution following the Civil War.
13th Amendment, getting rid of slavery.
14th Amendment, guaranteeing all Americans, including black Americans, including black Americans who had been slaves and those who would not, equal protection under the laws.
And including the 15th Amendment, guaranteeing black Americans the right to vote.
These had a significant effect.
They were enacted with great opposition coming from the Democratic Party.
We got them through.
I know, you know, history and facts and reading and research are troubling things to liberals, but that just happens to be a historical fact that you'll never change.
The history of Jim Crow is a history of the Democrat Party.
Sad, but true.
So it's kind of fascinating that the Democrats would title a hearing on a voter integrity bill Jim Crow, when it was their party, their party that advanced Jim Crow laws.
You know what they say is facts.
Those are stubborn things.

Actually, even if it's not all right with you, I'm still going to jump to the end anyway.
But I wanted to be nice about it, not to be rude.
