We will follow the facts in this case.
Now, he has lied, and if he is convicted, he will face up to five years in prison.
Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than maximum penalties.
But a federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. sentencing guidelines and any other statutory factors.
And of course, he draws a Biden judge.

It means that we live in a dangerous neighborhood in this world of ours, and we have to identify and distinguish our friends from our enemies.
Well, this is really a powerful, powerful movie.
I have a couple of questions for you.
The movie centers on Revelation 12, interpreting the dragon as Satan, the devil, waging war on the woman, symbolizing Israel or God's people.
How do you envision the Gaza conflict as a modern manifestation of the dragon's war against the woman in Revelation 12, evolving in the coming years, particularly in light of the ongoing push for Palestinian statehood?
Yeah, so the Jews are a resurrected people in the sense that the Bible predicts that they will come back to their ancestral homeland.
And that, of course, has already happened.
It happened starting in 1948.
The premise of this film is very startling.
What if God's great enemy, which is to say the devil, who is always in war with God?
I mean, when we talk about spiritual warfare, those are the primary combatants.
It's God versus the devil.
And the devil operates as a kind of inverted angel.
So if God is resurrecting the Jews back into their ancient homeland, the question is this.
What if the devil goes, I'll do the same thing.
I will take one of the ancient enemies of Israel, in this case the Philistines, and I will resurrect a group of people called Palestinian.
By the way, the Palestine, Philistine, it's the same word, but it's not just the same word.
They're going to use the same tactics.
Look, for example, at the biblical hero called Samson.
He represents the strength of Israel.
Now, he's captured by the Philistines and they blind him.
So they blind him in kind of the same way Israel was blinded on October 7th.
And the Bible says they drag him back where?
To Gaza.
So the Philistines were based in Gaza.
It was then called Philistia, but there were five cities in Philistia, and one of them, the main one, Gaza.
And when Samson gets to Gaza, the people of Gaza say, strip him down and bring him out to entertain us.
This is exactly what happens right after October 7th.
The Jewish hostages are stripped.
They are brought out into the public and people are dancing around them.
Allahu Akbar celebrating all this.
So I'm trying to get people to see October 7th, you know, and the second anniversary coming up, not just as like an historic event, it's a terrorist episode.
No, it's kind of a biblical event.
And if you look at it through this enlarged perspective, you actually begin to see things in a very, in a new light, and you begin to see how we in America, we as Christians, are implicated in all this.
It's true.
I mean, given your interpretation of the October 7th, 2023 event, Hamas attacks their spiritual, they're prophetic.
It's a battle.
What specific actions do you believe Israel and its allies should take to address the conflict and fulfill the call of to become a dragon slayer?
So this is the take home of the movie.
And, you know, I don't mind sharing it because this is the kind of film that you have to experience for yourself.
Even if I tell you what it's about, you know, in a really good film, you can tell someone what it's about, but it gives them no idea of what the film is actually like, right?
If I were to tell you, you know, the Shoshank Redemption is about friendship and it's about prison reform and life inside the prison, it still gives you no clue about what it is like to experience that film.
Now, I would argue that what's happening right now is that Israel is rediscovering its ancient strength.
I mean, look at a country of 10 million, Israel, taking on a country of 80 million, Iran, and basically whipping them in like three days.
And Israel is simultaneously fighting.
It's fighting with Sudan.
It's fighting with Yemen.
It's fighting with the disguised influences of Qatar and Turkey.
And so you have little Israel and its ability to fight radical Islam is downright astounding.
I mean, they're better at it than we are, right?
Because go back to the 1970s, Jimmy Carter pulls the Persian rug out from the Shah.
We get Khomeini.
We helped radical Islam get a major state.
After 9-11, we go to Afghanistan, we clobber the Taliban, but guess what?
They're back.
We go to Iraq, we make a mess of it over there.
So my argument for the U.S. supporting Israel is they are fighting a war against people who hate us as much, if not more, than them, who are dedicated to our destruction, and they know how to do it.
We don't actually know how to do it.
They're doing it really well.
So we're really lucky to have them.
Oh, I mean, it's wild because even just today, you've got Al-Qaeda, who is calling for attacks on the U.S. as its former leader, is welcomed as a statesman.
Absolutely.
And look at what happened at the UN, all these people walking out.
I mean, the remarkable thing here is, and the question I want to ask in this film, there are a lot of Christians who seem to be turning young people against Israel.
Some of this is driven by a kind of MAGA right faction that is attacking Israel and basically says Israel controls America, all this kind of thing.
But my message to Christians is that just as the Jews have to put on a physical armor, just like the ancient Israelites, we as Christians need to put on a spiritual armor like the Christians of the book of Acts.
In other words, our enemies are going back to the beginning.
And by our enemies here, I mean two groups, not just the radical Muslims, but also the cultural left in the West.
I mean, isn't it weird that the cultural left, these LGBTQ, these queers for Palestine, I mean, these guys are not similar to the radical Muslims.
They would exist.
These two groups do not exist comfortably with each other.
And yet they are joined at the hip.
And if you look at the cultural left and its terrorists, sort of like the guy who shot Charlie Kirk, and then you look at the terrorists produced by radical Islam, they're very similar.
They say the same things.
They engrave their bullets.
They shout the same slogans.
They can be seen at the same rallies marching together.
Gosh, it is so true.
And it's just heating up.
And you have to start to ask yourself, okay, this looks like it's homegrown.
They're carrying the exact message, of course.
Why?
Sorry about that.
It scared me.
I'm like, okay, who just joined us?
All right, we're being spied on now.
An imposter.
Wow.
But we have Netanyahu, who broadcasts the United Nations message into Gaza, accusing world leaders of appeasing evil.
I mean, all of this is happening right now.
You know, I have a one-on-one with Netanyahu.
I did about 45 minutes with him, and there's about five minutes of it in the film.
But it's Netanyahu really in the zone, meaning not like you normally see him.
I asked him, What do you think of Jesus?
Because I thought it'd be fascinating to hear a Jewish leader of a Jewish state comment on the most famous Jew in the world, namely Jesus Christ.
And then I also asked him to respond to some of the things that Tucker Carlson said in his conversation with Ted Cruz.
So in one way, this is a very timeless sort of biblical film.
It's got archaeology on King David and Jeremiah and Pontius Pilate.
But on the other hand, it's like ripped out of the headlines.
It deals with, you know, the left wing calling Israel a colonial power.
It deals with the issue of genocide.
And it deals with the right-wing critique.
Like, how do you know the Jews of today are really descended from the ancient Israelites in the Bible?
That question is answered in the film.
Oh, it definitely is.
And especially on the heels of what happened with Charlie Kirk.
My gosh.
I mean, we are all just devastated over this whole thing.
No, absolutely.

I was glued to it.
And you know what?
That's not going to be the first time I watch it, Dinesh.
I've got to watch it again.
There is so much in there.
It is jam-packed with history.
And I mean, when you first get to the film and you start remembering what happened during October 7th, okay, we all remember that day.
We saw it all over the news.
You had it splashed on every single headline.
It was horrible to watch.
You saw the fear in those women's eyes and just the people, the beheadings, all of it.
And then you go into the history of it all, the archaeology and everything else that is going on simultaneously and how these things are connected.
It was mind-blowing to me.
Well, our debate is so bogged down, right, with so many slogans.
And also, the problems in the Middle East have seemed so insoluble.
I came to this country at the age of 17 in the very late 1970s.
There was a Carter Peace Plan, the Reagan plan, the Clinton plan, and on and on it goes the Obama plan.
And so it's interesting to ask why it is that this is such an insoluble problem.
In other parts of the world, India, Pakistan, it warms up, it cools down.
The Northern Ireland thing has largely gone away.
This thing has proven to be intractable.
And the Bible actually predicts this.
The Bible says this thing will not be permanently solved.
You can improve it.
You can make things better.
I think Trump is trying to make things better in all kinds of ways.
But on the other hand, I don't think there's going to be an ultimate solution, in part because Israel in some ways represents ground zero of Bible prophecy.
I can see that.
I mean, this latest, the recent U.S. bombings are a clear indicator of the Iranian nuclear sites.
I mean, it sets back Tehran's program by many years, according to the Pentagon assessments.
But it aligns with the film's warnings of an escalating global instability.
And it's a sign of the Black Sabbath and the dragon's rage in the Middle East.
I mean, we're looking at this going, okay, wow, there's too many similarities here.
Yeah, and also think of all the people, you know, on our own side who said, we can't do this.
I remember people predicting that Russia and China would get involved.
World War III was going to be kindled.
The U.S. was going to be drawn into a wider war.
Young people from this country are going to be dragged into it.
And really, it was none of that.
Basically, what Israel said is we're going to do the job, but guess what?
We need one B-2 bomber on loan for 24 hours with a couple of fighter jets to protect it.
Come and drop some bombs on these nuclear facilities and then go back home and enjoy your life.
We're going to continue the fight over here.
So they're carrying the weight.
Basically, that's for the price of a lone B-2 bomber for one day.
We were able to essentially terminate Iran's nuclear capacity, at least for the foreseeable future.
I mean, talk about a bargain.
Well, it doesn't.
Well, I think the reason a lot of people are skeptical, like I'm in my 60s, is because every time we go to the Middle East, they always say it's going to be something like that.
And then we get drawn into something for years and years, which is not our fault.
It's the people in charge.
It is the people in charge.
I mean, look, I think we can learn here a little bit from Reagan, because the Soviet Union, when they invaded Afghanistan in 1979, 100,000 troops, Reagan was like, listen, we're not going in there.
We're not sending a single U.S. soldier.
Now, we might give him some Stinger rockets to shoot down some Soviet helicopters.
We're going to help these Afghans chase the Soviets out, but we're going to use military force only as a last, last resort.
Now, that idea got forgotten somehow under the Bush years, both the father and the son.
And we started this military adventurism, which lasted about 15 years and turns out to have been a horrible mistake.
Oh my gosh, yes.
I mean, that's the thing.
Well, and then look at what happened with Biden.
My gosh, Afghanistan.
We all look at that.
What a disaster.
They don't want to talk about that.
The left doesn't want to talk about it.
It was completely mismanaged.
They ended up getting more than what we ever thought that they were going to get.
I mean, so we talk about Charlie Kirk and we talk about moving forward.
I mean, with the election of President Trump, the strategic U.S. strikes on Iran, and Charlie Kirk's turning point movement, which is energizing young conservatives.
I mean, are we as a nation better prepared to fend off the prophetic, looming invasion of radical ideologies that your film warns is central to the destiny of nations like America and Israel?
Well, let's just say that the devil is on the march and his troops, which include the cultural left on one side and the radical Muslims on the other, these people are not only mobilizing, but they're working together.
And so it's important, I think, for, let's just say, God's battalions, which by the way, I think includes the nation of Israel, but also includes Christians, includes the United States of America.
We need to, in a sense, equip ourselves and work together as well.
You know, when people talk about the fact that this is a spiritual battle and a spiritual war, we have to realize it's a war ultimately of, it's a war that goes back to the very beginning.
I don't just mean to the Garden of Eden.
I mean even before that, the war in heaven between God and Lucifer.
And here's the point: that Lucifer actually, the devil, cannot beat God.
God is stronger.
So what does Lucifer do?
He basically says, what does God really value?
What does God really cherish?
Let me go and ruin that guy.
So if God cherishes Adam and Eve, the first humans, Lucifer goes, let me go corrupt those two people.
And then if God says, well, I have a chosen people and they're the Jews, the devil goes, you know what?
Let me go and build an Islamic golden arch right on the top of the Solomon's Temple.
Let me try to get the Jews out of there from the river to the sea.
This is going to be my agenda.
And then let me morally try to corrupt the Christians and divide them from the Jews.
So look, I mean, all of this is going on right now, which means that the devil is kind of in full high gear.
And I think when Charlie Kirk, the message of renewal that so many people talked about at his funeral, I was there sitting right up the front.
I love that idea.
And I think I want this film to be a part of that renewal in which we are raising the level.
We are obviously actively involved in politics, but we also recognize the larger stakes for the human soul.
Oh, I think that's a wonderful, wonderful thing for you to, you know, for you to team up with this amazing thing that Charlie Kirk created.
I mean, his legacy is going to go on indefinitely.
I mean, this man just, I'm still not over the shock of the whole thing.
We were live when it all happened.
And you want to talk about one of the toughest shows we've ever done.
It was just heart-wrenching.
Kat knows.
I mean, he just, when he winced, he saw a part of a video.
You know how social media is.
When he winced, I knew.
I knew.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, Debbie and I saw that video together and we just gave a look at each other.
We didn't actually want to say the words, but the same thing was going through our head.
We're like, we don't see how this poor kid can survive this.
This looks like the worst kind of wound.
And in fact, later, his pastor, Charlie's pastor, who was right there on the scene, said, listen, by the time we put him into the SUV, he was dead.
Yeah, I really didn't know what to say at the time because it was live and I seen it and nobody else had seen it yet.
And I was like, I just, there's just no, there's no surviving that.
I didn't think that's five or six seconds.
Yeah, exactly.
I mean, the good news is there wasn't a lot of suffering involved because it was so instantaneous.
I also think it's symbolically significant that he was shot, think of it, in the throat.
So really shutting down his voice.
And that is really what the shooter is going for.
But boy, it sure didn't, did it?
It did not.
It did not.
It's emboldened, I think, all of us, and it's caused us to want to do even more, work even harder, and pick up where Charlie left off.
I think it's creating unity too amongst us all.
We all felt that.
We were all there.
We watched that.
And I think that going forward with having that as something that we all experience together, I think it did make us stronger.
It did call for unity.
And we need to do it.
And we have so many of those dragons out there in every corner just waiting.
I mean, and when you start talking about Charlie Kirk and his unwavering advocacy for Israel, you know, as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy through Turning Point USA and his assassination in September amid conspiracy theories, I mean, how does his legacy bolster the spiritual preparation needed to confront the end of times battle depicted in the dragon's prophecy?
Well, Charlie was a bridge builder, and I think he was trying to heal two types of divide that are now very present on the right, and we should be kind of forthright about it.
One is the divide between the pro-Israel and the anti-Israel factions on the right.
And this is very bad because we don't really want to chase either one of those factions away.
Both factions are patriots, both factions are right of center, both factions are love America, both factions are behind Trump.
So it's kind of like, you know, we don't want to, we don't want to lose Tucker Carlson, but we don't want to lose Mark Levin either.
So that's one problem.
The second problem is somewhat generational.
The older conservatives who are the base of the Republican Party are very pro-Israel.
A lot of younger people coming up, Gen X or Gen Z, tend to be more anti-Israel.
So there's a generational divide on top of the ideological divide.
So I'm hoping that what this film does, you'll notice the film is in a way very, I mean, there's no name-calling in it.
In fact, I did a debate this morning with Oran McIntyre on should MAGA Christians support Israel?
Very civil debate in the right spirit.
I think when we have more of this kind of discussion and debate, and I want the film to be a part of this, it helps to bridge those gaps and heal those divides and make our side, which is basically the side of good, stronger than ever.
Well, yes.
And especially debate, where people can come out and they can talk and just continue on with what Charlie Kirk was doing.
Talk about it.
Talk loud about it.
Explain yourself, your side, why you see things the way that you do.
He never made people feel, the videos that I've seen, you know, ashamed.
He didn't make them feel shame for what they were saying or anything else.
He just had a point of view and he expressed it and they would express theirs and there was an exchange of ideas.
I thought that was a wonderful thing.
And if we could do more of that and less of just the name-calling and the division.
It's a hornet's nest right now.
It really is.
It is.
You know, Charlie, I'll tell you what Charlie's secret weapon was.
And that is that because the left has established such a monopoly on the campus, they don't teach anything that departs from the left.
And so Charlie would go on campus and these smug students would be like, you didn't go to college.
I went to college.
I know so much more than you.
You don't know anything, Charlie.
And Charlie would say, who was Alexander Soljanitson?
And they would go, uh, and Charlie would go, who was Friedrich Hayek?
And they'd be like, never heard of him.
Who was Milton Friedman?
Don't know much about him.
So the fact that the left created this academic bubble in which they, you know, did not expose themselves to Edmund Burke, Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, the thinkers on the right, Charlie could just bring these names up and these guys were basically, you know, their ignorance was exposed.
And so Charlie was really effective in being able to show, you know, I may not have gone to college, but guess what?
I happen to know more about some things than you do.
If he said, who's Karl Marx?
All of them would, I know, I know.
That's right.
We've talked about that for quite some time.
I mean, about the universities and about how they are not teaching kids what you need to learn out in the real world.
And they are teaching them, I mean, they're radicalizing these kids.
And so to have a voice out there, and I'm so happy to hear that Turning Point is going to continue those conversations and those debates.
It's so important.
Now, how can we all get involved in something like that?
I mean, showing this movie is a great start to have those tough conversations.
I mean, it's very factual.
It's historical.
I mean, you're not just telling a story.
It's all there.
You've got the archaeological digs and everything else going on, and you are showing it and comparing it to the Bible.
Yeah, I like to put people on the scene so then they can see for themselves.
Like, remember 2000 Mules?
I didn't just tell you, look, they boarded up the windows, they've got affidavits.
I'm like, look, I'm going to put you on the scene of people at the mail-in drop boxes at the 2020 election.
And you look and see what they're doing.
See if it looks to you to be on the up and up.
And similarly here with October 7th, it's like you're right there on the scene.
So young people like this because there's a realism to it.
And obviously we live in a visual culture today where people like film.
They like film as a medium and as a stimulant to discussion.
It's a big reason why I moved from being primarily a book writer to now making the documentary films that I do.
And we try to make them a lot like movies, very cinematic, very theatrical.
So yeah, I'm hoping that the film is an educational mechanism, a mechanism to strengthen people's renewal, their sense of spirituality.
And I'd love to find a way to show it to all these young people, this whole generation that seems to be very bewildered and confused, somewhat angry, very suspicious, and very open to sometimes some very outlandish theories, which really don't square with the facts.
A film like this can, I think, present things in a very sober light.
And also, remember, you know, I don't have a dog in this fight.
I'm not Jewish.
I'm not Israeli.
I'm coming at this very much from the point of view of America first.
And so I think the film carries a credibility that doesn't make people go, oh, well, you're just speaking for Israel.
Oh, well, Mossad is paying you.
Oh, well, you know, there's this kind of tendency to go there.
And I do want to say at the outset that I've, you know, Debbie and I, my wife, we've donated a lot of money to biblical archaeology in Israel.
So I want to clarify that they don't pay us.
We pay them.
There's a big difference, isn't there?
Oh my gosh.
Well, that's good.
And there is no question that the timing of the Dragon's Prophecy's theatrical release is on October 6th through 8th.

It's echoing the October 7th attacks.
Do you believe that these synchronized events, including Trump's pro-Israel policies, are divine signals urging believers to become dragon slayers in the face of looming invasions?
You know, Trump is, Trump represents, in a way, the guy who, in some ways, I don't think thinks of himself as a biblical figure, but he really is, because in my adult life, I used to revere these figures like Abraham, and I would think of them as models, paragons of virtue.
But as an adult, when I began to look at those stories, you begin to realize that all these guys are fairly dubious characters, right?
I mean, Abraham himself basically passes off his wife as his sister, you know.
Then you have Jacob pulling scams and trying to get more flocks for himself.
David's got his eye on Bathsheba and concocting a plan for how to get rid of her husband.
So, you know, the guy in Israel said something really funny to me.
He said, you know, if God was not in the Old Testament, you would think that the Old Testament was written by rank anti-Semites because all these great, supposedly great figures are all fallen.
They're flawed.
They're up to shenanigans.
So the Bible is a very human story.
And I think Trump, in that sense, can very much be seen as a sort of instrument of God at a very critical time in world history and even in biblical history.
So whether or not Trump really sees it that way or recognizes it that way, I think he is a part of this great melodrama.
Oh, and he plays his part perfectly, I think.
I really do.
It keeps us all interested and on our toes, that's for sure.
Well, it's what keeps life interesting.

The civilian deaths on both sides represent victories on the part of the dragon.
Mastered everything within their ability to maximize the civilian casualty.
We came back to a land that was largely barren and empty, and we brought it back to life and we're going to keep it.
The devil hates the Jewish people because they represent the existence of God.
Because without that Jewish foundation, there is no Christianity.
If we're approaching the end of time, God will reveal himself more and more dramatically.
Speak back through the stones.
The story that they've been telling is that Israel is a colonial project.
The problem with that is the city of David.
We are an inconvenient truth.
