[00:00:11] Yeah. [00:00:12] It's very. [00:00:23] Really you cross-off. [00:00:24] Pulitzer Prize-winning best-selling biographer Robert Carro Sunday night at 8 p.m. Eastern on C-SPAN's QA. [00:00:32] You can listen to QA and all of our podcasts on our free C-SPAN Now app or wherever you get your podcast. [00:00:40] President Trump told reporters this evening that he was reviewing a new Iranian proposal to end the war with the U.S. and Israel. [00:00:46] He spoke at Palm Beach Airport as he was en route to Miami. [00:01:00] We're going to Dural. [00:01:01] A lot of you are traveling with me. [00:01:03] Doing very well with regard to just about everything, but doing very well with regard to Iran. [00:01:10] Again, they want to make a deal. [00:01:11] They're decimated. [00:01:13] They're having a hard time figuring out who their leader is. [00:01:17] They don't know who their leader is because their leader is gone. [00:01:19] Their leader that, their former leader, Khomeini. [00:01:23] But we'll see. [00:01:24] Any questions real fast? [00:01:28] The which? [00:01:29] Have you 14 proposal that Iran is? [00:01:32] No, I haven't. [00:01:32] I haven't. [00:01:33] I'm looking at it up here. [00:01:35] Yeah, I'll let you know about it later. [00:01:38] Mr. President, last night you said we might be better off not making a deal with Iran. [00:01:42] Well, I wouldn't have to. [00:01:43] I didn't say that. [00:01:44] I said that if we left right now, it would take them 20 years to rebuild. [00:01:49] But we're not leaving right now. [00:01:50] We're going to do it so nobody has to go back in two years or five years. [00:01:55] Mr. President, you also said last night that... [00:01:57] They told me about the concept of the deal. [00:01:59] They're going to give me the exact wording now, yeah. [00:02:01] Mr. President, last night you also said that only like 85% of Iran's missile making capabilities has been eliminated. [00:02:09] Correct. [00:02:09] Is that other 15% important if the United States needs to eliminate that? [00:02:13] Well, I'd like to eliminate it. [00:02:15] Yeah, I'd like to. [00:02:16] It'd be a start for them to build up again. [00:02:18] And yeah, I would like to eliminate it. [00:02:20] Sir. [00:02:22] Mr. Under what circumstances would you restart military strikes on Turkey? [00:02:26] Well, I don't want to say that. [00:02:27] I mean, I can't tell that to a reporter. [00:02:29] If they misbehave, if they do something bad, but right now, we'll see. [00:02:36] But, you know, it's a possibility that could happen, certainly. [00:02:40] Mr. President, in your letter to Congress, you said the hostilities in Iran that started have been terminated. [00:02:47] How can you say that given that the naval hotel maybe is still being militarily in place? [00:02:51] Well, it's a very friendly blockade. [00:02:53] Nobody's even challenging it. [00:02:54] Nobody at all is challenging. [00:02:56] Just so you understand, many presidents have been involved in things that are very big. [00:03:02] They never had to go through anything with respect to Congress. [00:03:05] They considered it to be totally unconstitutional. [00:03:09] And the Democrats in Congress that pushed this, and probably a couple of Republicans, they're hurting our negotiating ability, which is infinite right now. [00:03:19] And they shouldn't be doing it. [00:03:20] It's never happened before. [00:03:22] No other president's done it. [00:03:24] And I'm not going to be the first. [00:03:26] Thank you very much. [00:03:28] Good. [00:03:30] Do you envision a future where American energy companies are operating inside of Iran? [00:03:35] Could be. [00:03:36] It could be. [00:03:36] I'll tell you what. [00:03:37] We have a lot of ships coming up to Texas and Louisiana. [00:03:41] It's a line of ships you saw at the satellite. [00:03:44] We have a line of ships, big ones, two million barrels. [00:03:49] And they're coming up. [00:03:51] I mean, literally, hundreds of ships are online to go to tech. [00:03:54] I mean, they're already started. [00:03:56] But we're selling a lot of oil. [00:04:00] A lot of oil. [00:04:01] Why is the U.S. removing troops from Germany? [00:04:05] Why is the U.S. removing troops from Germany? [00:04:08] We're going to cut way down, and we're cutting a lot further than 5,000. [00:04:12] Thank you very much. [00:04:42] On Monday, we'll have all-day coverage of the Milken Institute's global conference.
