[00:00:10] We'll be back tomorrow morning, 7 a.m. Eastern Time. [00:00:38] Coming up shortly here on C-SPAN, the United Nations Security Council holds a meeting about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. [00:00:46] We'll bring you live coverage here on C-SPAN when it begins. [00:00:49] Until then, we'll take a look at the situation in the Middle East as it currently stands from this morning's Washington Journal. [00:00:59] Good morning, everyone. [00:01:00] Welcome to the Conversation. [00:01:02] Your reaction to President Trump now saying Iran has two weeks before he will decide to go, as you just heard from the White House press secretary. [00:01:11] Washington Post front page headline, this morning, Trump dials back war talk, sees more time for diplomacy. [00:01:19] Take a look at what the president has said over the past week on Iran, and it ends with the White House statement yesterday. [00:01:28] What have you heard? [00:01:28] What have you heard from the Iranians? [00:01:30] They'd like to talk, but they should have done that before. [00:01:34] I had 60 days, and they had 60 days, and on the 61st day, I said, we don't have a deal. [00:01:40] They have to make a deal. [00:01:42] And it's painful for both parties, but I'd say Iran is not winning this war. [00:01:48] And they should talk, and they should talk immediately before it's too late. [00:01:52] Remember, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. [00:01:55] It's very simple. [00:01:57] Not to go too deep into it. [00:01:59] They just can't have a nuclear weapon weapon. [00:02:00] What was you thinking on the call for Tehran to evacuate? [00:02:04] Is there a threat or is there an incoming? [00:02:06] What was the thinking about the whole evacuation? [00:02:08] I want people to be safe. [00:02:10] What specifically is better than a ceasefire? [00:02:12] What are you looking for here? [00:02:18] And to have a hostile country have a nuclear weapon that could destroy 25 miles, but much more than that, could destroy other nations just by the breeze blowing the dust. [00:02:30] You know, that dust blows to other nations, then they get to estimate it. [00:02:33] This is just not a threat you can have. [00:02:36] And we've been threatened by Iran for many years. [00:02:38] You know, if you go back and look at my history, if you go back 15 years, they're saying we cannot let Iran get a nuclear weapon. [00:02:45] I've been saying it for a long time. [00:02:47] I mean it more now than I ever meant it. [00:02:51] I have ideas as to what to do, but I haven't made a final. [00:02:53] I like to make the final decision one second before it's due, you know, because things change.
