Candace Owens - Did "The Simpsons" Predict This Madness? Aired: 2024-02-07 Duration: 03:16 === Mark Zuckerberg's Dystopian Smile (02:33) === [00:00:00] I had more hope for humanity. [00:00:01] I really did. [00:00:03] I remember when I was seeing photos, actually it was one particular photo, it was of Mark [00:00:10] Zuckerberg. [00:00:11] He was testing VR glasses. [00:00:13] I don't know if it was at some conference. [00:00:15] And this was the photo. [00:00:16] Let me just show it to you. [00:00:17] I thought, this looks like a dystopian nightmare. [00:00:21] The way that he's smiling, he always looks evil. [00:00:24] There's something about him that he just looks like he's going to turn into an alien. [00:00:28] His skin is just going to fall off. [00:00:30] And then all of these people that look like slaves, he's like, yes, this is the slave culture that I want going forward. [00:00:38] Technology will enslave the masses. [00:00:41] So evil! [00:00:42] But he wasn't the first person that predicted this. [00:00:46] No, I think that he might have just been the visionary that said, can we make this real? [00:00:52] Of course, it's always The Simpsons. [00:00:53] I don't know how it happens. [00:00:53] There's a conspiracy theory that the people who wrote The Simpsons are from the future because everything that they wrote that was so obscure at the time has somehow become true. [00:01:04] They notoriously had Donald Trump coming down an escalator decades ago, announcing his run for president. [00:01:10] And then he came down an escalator and announced his run for president. [00:01:13] And yes, they also had a vision regarding these VR glasses. [00:01:18] Take a look. [00:01:40] That just can't happen, except it is happening. [00:01:43] Here is a person presumably commuting to work the other day on the subway. [00:01:51] I gotta say, that guy, confidence. [00:02:05] I'm not confident enough to look that crazy. [00:02:07] And we had covered, actually, the VR glasses. [00:02:09] I talked about how strange it was. [00:02:12] I tried them just once, and it was terrifying because it did seem like it was reality. [00:02:17] I was afraid to jump off of this fake elevator, even though, obviously, I knew I was safe. === Hoping for Sanity (00:57) === [00:02:24] in reality, in my real world, I did not want to jump. [00:02:28] I refused to do it because I sensed that the doom was the fake reality that was being created [00:02:32] by the VR goggles. [00:02:34] Again, very dystopian to think that people will begin to pick this up. [00:02:37] We are becoming enslaved by our technology. [00:02:40] There's no question about it. [00:02:41] I guess the bigger question would just be who's benefiting from that enslavement, right? [00:02:46] I'm hoping that this brave person on the subway is not going to be the average person and [00:02:52] that we aren't going to see the majority of people that are commuting and walking with [00:02:57] their VR glasses. [00:02:58] I'm hoping that we can return to some sort of sanity, which means that it's incumbent upon us parents to not allow our children to experiment with this sort of technology. [00:03:09] But also, I do want to remind you guys that shame works. [00:03:13] Look at people, laugh at them, and be like, what on earth are you doing?
