[00:00:27] Freedom at charliekirk.com. [00:00:29] Buckle up, everybody. [00:00:30] Here we go. [00:00:31] Charlie, what you've done is incredible here. [00:00:33] Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus. [00:00:35] I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk. [00:00:38] Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks. [00:00:42] I want to thank Charlie. [00:00:43] He's an incredible guy. [00:00:44] His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created. [00:00:51] Turning point USA. [00:00:52] We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. [00:01:01] That's why we are here. [00:01:04] Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at AndrewandTodd.com. [00:01:13] Welcome, everybody. [00:01:15] I am thrilled. [00:01:15] This is the first year that we're doing it at this scale and this size. [00:01:19] And, you know, we have TPUSA Faith, and it is growing like crazy right now. [00:01:23] And we have pastors from all across the country, and it is just incredible. [00:01:27] You guys having a good time at America Fest? [00:01:32] I'll say it again. [00:01:33] When you see a Turning Point USA staffer, just pray for them because they're not sleeping, they're running around, they're solving problems. [00:01:40] And just have grace on them. [00:01:42] Just smile and say thank you because they are working so hard to serve you. [00:01:47] And I think they're doing a really, really great job. [00:01:49] Wouldn't you agree? [00:01:50] They're doing a great job. [00:01:53] So the spirit of this night is all about worshiping our Creator. [00:01:57] Now, some of you here tonight might have some ideas about Christianity. [00:02:01] It's like, oh, I grew up in a Christian school and I don't like the rules and I like this, but Charlie told me to show up and I'm just going to sit here. [00:02:08] So tonight, I want you to open your heart and open your mind and say, I'm going to entertain, even just because somebody told me this idea that there is a God and you are not him and that God loves you. [00:02:21] Those three things. [00:02:22] That there is a God, you are not him, and that God loves you. [00:02:26] Those three things. [00:02:27] Now, as you can see in my shirt here, here I am. [00:02:29] It is something that we are repeating at TPUSA Faith. [00:02:32] And, you know, I listen to podcasts and read the word, and I just was thinking, I said, boy, what does God want this theme of 2024 to be? [00:02:42] And has kept on repeating and repeating and repeating as I would read in my devotionals and read in my Bible this idea of Lord use me. [00:02:52] Here I am. [00:02:53] Lord, use me as an instrument for your will. [00:02:57] Now, one of the things that I think is so important to remember as we just had that incredible worship is that we worship a loving God who allows us to be here on this planet to have to do his will here on earth. [00:03:11] And all of us together, if we have a posture of the willing, and there's different categories for all of us. [00:03:17] You see, some of you, I just, I love the Bible. [00:03:20] Don't we love the Bible, everybody? [00:03:21] It is just. [00:03:23] And I want to riff on this a second. [00:03:25] I talked, I spoke about this in the Turning Point Academy breakout, which is what is your owner's manual instruction manual for life? [00:03:32] If it's not the Bible, I want to hear it. [00:03:34] You can email me, freedom at charliekirk.com. [00:03:36] Is it pray, eat, love, or whatever that book is? [00:03:40] Or I do yoga meditations. [00:03:42] It's fine. [00:03:43] Whatever it is. [00:03:45] You have to have some instruction manual that you reference. [00:03:48] Am I acting correctly? [00:03:50] Am I marrying correctly? [00:03:51] Am I living life well? [00:03:53] You see, for me, and for those of us that call ourselves born-again Christians, it's the word of God. [00:03:59] It is the Bible. [00:04:00] It is the totality. [00:04:02] It answers every question. [00:04:04] Why are we here? [00:04:05] In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. [00:04:07] Boom. [00:04:08] Your existence is not a mistake, everybody. [00:04:11] And are you a clump of cells that accidentally came into existence over millions of years of Darwinian evolution? [00:04:19] Genesis 1, 26 and 127. [00:04:22] And God made us in his image. [00:04:25] We are image bearers of the divine. [00:04:28] And therefore, by the way, that means every single life born and unborn must be protected, regardless of how big that life is. [00:04:37] And let me say this. [00:04:38] If you are a pastor and you are not speaking out for pro-life ideas and policies and politicians, you should resign from the ministry because every pastor needs to be speaking out about abortion in their church. [00:04:53] Okay. [00:04:55] So we know why we're here. [00:04:56] Better sheet in the Hebrew. [00:04:58] In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. [00:05:01] We know what a human being is. [00:05:04] Now, what is good or evil? [00:05:05] And a lot of people say, you know, I know good and evil through common sense. [00:05:08] I know it just because I trust my gut. [00:05:10] Bad idea, everybody. [00:05:12] You need something to tell you that. [00:05:14] And you're like, oh, I know it because what my parents taught me. [00:05:16] Where'd they learn it from? [00:05:17] Oh, their grandparents. [00:05:18] Where'd they learn it from? [00:05:19] You go to other countries, you realize what we take for granted is right and wrong is a Christian inheritance that has been passed down through many years. [00:05:27] And if we're serious about saving this country, we need to get back to the source of where that inheritance came from. [00:05:34] The word of God and our true citizenship, which is in heaven. [00:05:40] So I love the Bible. [00:05:42] And even if you're not convinced, I ask you to spend one hour a week and read the Bible. [00:05:49] Because you know what I love about the Bible? [00:05:50] The more you read the Bible, the more it reads you. [00:05:53] It reads you back. [00:05:54] It talks back to you. [00:05:56] I've never found a book like that, ever. [00:05:58] It answers every single question. [00:06:00] Infinite about wisdom in Proverbs. [00:06:03] Psalms about worshiping God in times that you are having difficulty and heaviness. [00:06:09] What happens when we die? [00:06:11] The answer is: if you give your life to Jesus, you have life and life everlasting, which is the greatest hope for all of us. [00:06:18] But also, is murder wrong? [00:06:21] Should we honor our parents? [00:06:24] Should we care about our country? [00:06:25] Jeremiah 29, 7, demand the welfare of the nation that you are in because your welfare is tied to your nation's welfare. [00:06:31] Every major question you might be wrestling with, there is an answer in the word of God. [00:06:35] And so there's this phrase I'm just going to keep on repeating, here I am, the first time it appears in the Bible. [00:06:41] And this will apply to every single one of you because none of you get an excuse not to leave here tonight to say, here I am. [00:06:47] The first time it appears in the scripture is one of the best known stories. [00:06:51] The story of Abraham and Isaac. [00:06:54] Now, just by backstory, for those that don't know the Bible or might have forgotten, that's okay. [00:06:58] It's all good. [00:06:59] Abram is called by God in Genesis 12. [00:07:01] We have no idea why Abram was chosen. [00:07:03] We don't know anything about this guy. [00:07:05] He's just living with his dad until he's like 85. [00:07:07] He's kind of a bum, honestly. [00:07:09] So if you think that millennials won't leave their parents' basement, it's been going on well since Abram, everybody, okay? [00:07:17] By the way, this is before video games, before smart. [00:07:20] What is this guy doing in his dad? [00:07:22] And literally, God says, leave your father's home and go on an adventure. [00:07:26] And we have no idea why God chose him. [00:07:27] We have no idea. [00:07:28] He's not that impressive of a person, honestly. [00:07:30] But he was willing. [00:07:35] He was not talented. [00:07:36] He was not handsome. [00:07:38] He wasn't necessarily courageous, but he was the most important thing for a believer. [00:07:44] He was willing. [00:07:45] It says in Genesis 22, and it's one of the least understood stories in the Bible, where, you know, some people say, oh, did God want Abraham to kill his son? [00:07:54] No, no, no, no. [00:07:54] And by the way, the whole story of Genesis 22 is really about Jesus. [00:07:58] The whole story is about Jesus as the true sacrifice. [00:08:01] But it says right there in Genesis 22 that God was testing Abraham. [00:08:05] But the angel of the Lord, the messenger of the Lord, called to him from heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham. [00:08:11] And how does Abraham respond? [00:08:14] Here I am. [00:08:16] Send me. [00:08:18] Tell me, God, what to do. [00:08:20] And you might say, yeah, yeah, you know, I'm ready. [00:08:23] Abraham, all of a sudden, they said, okay, you got to sacrifice your son. [00:08:28] The son, by the way, that he never thought he would have. [00:08:32] What was his son's name? [00:08:34] Which means laughter. [00:08:36] Why'd they name him laughter? [00:08:38] Because they laughed at the prospect that they would ever have a kid. [00:08:42] This is a kid they could not believe actually existed. [00:08:45] The kid they said, come on, I'm like 195 years old. [00:08:48] You know, Sarah's not going to have a kid. [00:08:51] They have this son that's literally called laughter, and God says, do you really follow me? [00:08:57] Do you really follow me? [00:08:58] And Abraham says, here I am. [00:09:01] Now, Abraham passed that test, and that is the reason eventually that we know that God, Abraham, means father of nations, that the covenant was started. [00:09:10] The covenant leads all the way to Jesus Christ in an uninterrupted line that leads us here tonight. [00:09:16] Abraham was tested. [00:09:18] Many of you are going through a test right now. [00:09:20] I guarantee it. [00:09:21] You might have gotten a diagnosis from a doctor that's not that great. [00:09:24] Your spouse might be dealing with something. [00:09:26] You might be going through a divorce. [00:09:27] You might say, I don't need this here I am stuff because my life is too hard. [00:09:31] What did Abraham say when his life was hard and he was tested? [00:09:34] Here I am. [00:09:36] Every single one of us goes through times of tests and trials. [00:09:39] And you say, God, use me. [00:09:41] What do you want from me during this trial? [00:09:43] The second of which is Jacob, which ends up to be Israel. [00:09:48] So Jacob, literally, is a very, very interesting character. [00:09:52] Jacob means usurper or heel and redeemer because he literally was holding on to Esau's heel as he came out of the womb. [00:10:00] They were twins. [00:10:01] And it's very simple. [00:10:02] The angel of God said to him in a dream, Jacob, and he said, here I am. [00:10:06] And from that point forward, the nation of Israel was born. [00:10:09] The willingness of Jacob turned in to the nation of Israel to go build something. [00:10:15] Some of you here tonight are being called to build something new. [00:10:19] And this is going to speak to some of you. [00:10:21] Is God whispering with the Holy Spirit in your ear to start a new business, to start a family? [00:10:27] That spirit of Jacob of, here I am, here I am, Lord. [00:10:31] I'm going to build something new. [00:10:32] Now, my favorite one, because this is most of you, is Moses. [00:10:37] Moses had it all. [00:10:39] He had a comfortable life. [00:10:41] He got along with his father-in-law, Jethro. [00:10:44] He was living in Midian. [00:10:45] He was living the high life. [00:10:47] And he all of a sudden stumbles upon a burning bush. [00:10:50] And his life was not easy after that. [00:10:53] He had to lead, without a doubt, the least impressive group of people in the history of the ancient world, the Hebrews. [00:10:59] God bless them, but they complain all the time and they were slaves to be a great nation. [00:11:04] And what did Moses say? [00:11:05] It's one of the most powerful scriptures. [00:11:09] Now, Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. [00:11:13] He had it all. [00:11:13] Imagine that some of you right now are how Moses was. [00:11:16] You got a good business. [00:11:19] You don't speak out about politics. [00:11:21] You got lots of friends. [00:11:22] You go to a country club. [00:11:24] You're well liked. [00:11:25] You're Moses. [00:11:26] I'm good. [00:11:27] Everything's right. [00:11:28] But maybe God's whispering in your ear, are you ready? [00:11:32] Are you ready? [00:11:33] Are you ready to leave comfort and go on an adventure? [00:11:37] Are you ready to leave the nice pleasantries? [00:11:40] Guess what? [00:11:40] None of that stuff matters. [00:11:41] Country clubs, going on nice vacations and wealth. [00:11:46] You know what matters more? [00:11:47] Eternity matters a lot more than that. [00:11:48] A lot more than that. [00:11:50] Moses says, Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he fled his flock to the west side of the wilderness in Cave to Horeb, the mountain of God. [00:11:58] And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush, and he looked and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed. [00:12:04] Then Moses said, I will turn aside and see this great sight. [00:12:07] Why is the bush not burning? [00:12:08] And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called out to him and said, Moses, Moses. [00:12:14] And he said, here I am. [00:12:18] At that moment, Moses was saying, All right, God, I'm going to leave the cushy job. [00:12:25] I understand that if I speak out for my faith or speak out politically, I might lose my job. === The Power of Here I Am (03:18) === [00:12:31] But here I am. [00:12:32] Comfort and Christianity sometimes come to a head. [00:12:38] In fact, we are called to get uncomfortable as believers and Christians. [00:12:44] If you are comfortable, you're not doing Christianity right. [00:12:48] Then Samuel, this one applies to a lot of you. [00:12:51] I love this one. [00:12:52] Samuel, now a boy, was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli. [00:12:57] He was a child. [00:12:58] He was young. [00:13:00] Turning point USA students, where are you guys? [00:13:02] You guys are all over the place here. [00:13:04] This one is for you because some of you might say, I'm too young to be used by God. [00:13:09] This here I am thing. [00:13:10] Now, Samuel says, here I am the most of any person in the Bible. [00:13:13] He keeps on saying it. [00:13:14] Here I am. [00:13:16] The eagerness of the youth activist. [00:13:18] It reminds me of seeing these turning point USA kids running all over the place here. [00:13:22] All ages, all backgrounds can be used by God. [00:13:25] Let me say that again. [00:13:26] All ages, all backgrounds can be used by God. [00:13:29] And Samuel, of course, was then led. [00:13:30] And the Lord said, Samuel, Samuel arose and went down. [00:13:34] And he says, Here I am, for you called me. [00:13:38] And Samuel was then called to amazing and great things. [00:13:41] How about Isaiah? [00:13:42] Isaiah. [00:13:43] Of course, one of the major prophets, Isaiah literally means God is my Redeemer. [00:13:47] I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send and who will go for us? [00:13:50] Then he said, Here I am, send me. [00:13:53] And through Isaiah, we get the fulfillment of the promise that is Jesus Christ. [00:13:57] And finally, my favorite, because this one applies to every single person, which is Anias. [00:14:05] And you might say, who is this? [00:14:06] Ananias. [00:14:07] Ananias is a character in the book of Acts written by the Apostle Luke. [00:14:13] He continues by saying, in Acts 9:10, it's incredible. [00:14:17] So an angel of the Lord, it's a lot of angels going around here. [00:14:20] And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias, and he says, Hinani, here I am. [00:14:25] Now here's some context. [00:14:26] I'm going to read it like this. [00:14:27] The Lord said to him, Rise and go to the street called Straight, the house of Judas. [00:14:31] Look for a man of Tarsus named Saul. [00:14:35] For behold, he is praying and he has seen a vision, a man named Ananias, come in and lay hands on him. [00:14:39] Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints in Jerusalem. [00:14:44] Okay, here's the context. [00:14:46] Saul was a bad dude. [00:14:48] He was not doing good. [00:14:49] And God called Ananias to go and confront him. [00:14:53] And he's like, I don't want to do that. [00:14:56] He's mean. [00:14:58] But he was more than mean. [00:14:59] He was going and killing people. [00:15:00] How many of you here tonight know somebody that you need to confront that is doing evil? [00:15:06] How many of you here tonight know a professor that is abusing their authority? [00:15:10] How many of you know tonight, a neighbor that is just terrorizing people based on politics? [00:15:15] How many of you know a weak pastor that needs to be confronted by a believer and say, either you need to lead, follow, or get out of the way and preach the word or not be a pastor any longer? [00:15:32] Now, whether it be Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Samuel, Isaiah, Ananias, the here I am is when legendary things happen in the Bible. [00:15:43] Six people that are some of the most important instruments for God's will here on earth. === Jesus Took My Place (02:44) === [00:15:49] And I'm just going to close with this. [00:15:50] That is my phrase going into 2024. [00:15:53] I'm going to use. [00:15:53] I hope it is for you as well. [00:15:55] Because every single one of you need to say, God, I am willing. [00:15:58] Use me. [00:15:59] Use me for your purposes. [00:16:01] Liberty is God's idea, not man's idea. [00:16:04] We will never allow the church to be called non-essential again as they allowed strip clubs and marijuana dispensaries and convenience stores to remain open. [00:16:15] We believe in a strong church. [00:16:17] Now, for those of you that are really wonky, one of my board members came up to me and said, Charlie, it's really bold naming a whole thing after yourself. [00:16:30] What are you talking about? [00:16:32] Well, Kirk means church in Scotland, and Charlie means strong man or strong church, strong church. [00:16:38] So I didn't do that intentionally for the record. [00:16:41] But we do need a strong church, everybody. [00:16:44] And it starts with all of you. [00:16:46] Look, for those of you that are not yet believers, it's very simple. [00:16:49] You're going to have a court date. [00:16:50] We all die. [00:16:51] And you're all going to meet the supreme judge of the universe. [00:16:56] Justice is getting what you deserve, which is going to a not-so-good place. [00:17:00] We're all sinners, and we all fall short of the glory of God. [00:17:03] But thanks to the cross, a perfect, loving God who came down in human form, human flesh, lived a perfect life and died for us so that we can live forever. [00:17:13] At that moment, we're about to get that sentencing into eternal damnation. [00:17:16] Somebody says, no, no, no. [00:17:18] I know him. [00:17:20] I know her. [00:17:21] Welcome to eternal life. [00:17:23] You have an opportunity. [00:17:24] The gospel in four words is Jesus took my place. [00:17:27] Three words is him for me. [00:17:29] Two words is substitutionary atonement. [00:17:30] And one word is grace. [00:17:32] Grace, you cannot earn. [00:17:35] Grace, you do not pay for. [00:17:37] It doesn't matter how much money you give to the hospital. [00:17:40] It doesn't even matter how many doors you knock on for Trump. [00:17:42] And I hope you knock on a lot of doors for him. [00:17:46] You can't earn it. [00:17:47] It doesn't matter if you're a good person. [00:17:48] It doesn't matter if you have always done the best you can. [00:17:51] Because what's different about Christianity is that it's a gift for all of humanity to receive, regardless of everything that we have done. [00:17:59] And your life will be transformed. [00:18:01] You will be born again. [00:18:04] Grace is not earned. [00:18:05] It is given by a God who loves you and wants to spend eternity with you. [00:18:09] It is the most important decision you can make in your life. [00:18:15] Here I am. [00:18:16] God bless you guys. [00:18:17] Thank you so much. [00:18:19] Thanks so much for listening. [00:18:20] Everybody, email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com. [00:18:23] Thanks so much for listening. [00:18:24] God bless.
