[00:02:08] So tpaction.com, get your tickets there today. [00:02:11] Let's start with some very unfortunate news. [00:02:17] The Republican Party is not ready to fight the Marxists. [00:02:20] There are some Republicans that are, but they are completely misreading the room. [00:02:24] You see, this is not normal times. [00:02:27] And I hear from people every so often, well, Charlie, you know, why can't we negotiate and go to the middle? [00:02:32] Why can't we calm down the temperature in the country? [00:02:35] I want that. [00:02:36] I would love to go back to the country I grew up in where we used to negotiate and be able to give a little and have Tip O'Neill and Ronald Reagan go and negotiate the budget. [00:02:46] Everything has changed post-Donald Trump because Donald Trump exposed neoliberalism, which was a bipartisan deal on three major issues: immigration, trade, and especially war, as Tucker Carlson perfectly pinpointed in his Twitter video. [00:02:59] So the whole country has changed. [00:03:00] Democrats are playing for keeps. [00:03:02] This is no longer some sort of a goodwill negotiation. [00:03:05] They want us in jail. [00:03:06] They want us dead. [00:03:07] They want us eliminated. [00:03:08] They're willing to use their political power and the oligarchy that they control to steamroll us. [00:03:14] You see that in the audience. [00:03:15] You hear that. [00:03:16] You see their language. [00:03:17] You see how they act. [00:03:18] You see how they're willing to use the criminal justice system, the Department of Justice. [00:03:22] You see how they go after children, which is why we're here at the Turning Point Academy Summit to try to push back against the perverts and the groomers. [00:03:29] You see, they're playing for keeps. [00:03:32] So this was a pretty historic week, not in a good way. [00:03:36] Earlier this week, Donald Trump was arraigned on 37 counts for paperwork stuff. [00:03:40] Meanwhile, Hillary, Structures Merck, James Comey, all these people get cable news contracts and book deals. [00:03:45] We've been through that. [00:03:46] We called on the Republican candidates to go down to Miami, Florida, and show support. [00:03:52] Imagine how powerful it would have been, first for the party, second for his candidacy, and most importantly, the country, if Governor Ron DeSantis would have showed up in Miami, Florida a couple hours before Trump arrived and said, I'm the governor of this state. [00:04:04] This is nonsense. [00:04:05] This is garbage. [00:04:06] As I say, Florida is where woke comes to die. [00:04:08] I'm going to say if I'm president of the United States as President DeSantis, this sort of criminalization of political dissidents will go to die. [00:04:15] It would have been powerful. [00:04:16] He would have gone up in the polls. [00:04:18] MAGA would have gained respect for him. [00:04:20] Instead, we don't know where Governor DeSantis was on that day. [00:04:22] Missed opportunity, and it would have showed a real opposition party. [00:04:25] Vec Ramaswamy gained a lot of support for going down there. [00:04:29] Chris Christie was doing a CNN town hall. [00:04:32] Nikki Haley, I think, was discussing war plans to invade another foreign country. [00:04:36] Asa Hutchinson was probably raising money from Walmart. [00:04:38] I don't know. [00:04:39] But they obviously had something more important to do than be there. [00:04:42] That was a disappointment, but it was a tell. [00:04:44] So then all of a sudden, we have this, again, crossing of the Rubicon, no going back. [00:04:50] Just shot across the bow. [00:04:51] They're indicting a former president. [00:04:53] And you would expect that the opposition party in Congress would get the memo. [00:04:57] Like, hey, you know, the Republican conservative base is not exactly happy right now that these times are different, not exactly time for bipartisan compromise. [00:05:06] And so an opportunity surfaced with a vote yesterday. [00:05:11] Turning point alumni, Congresswoman Ana Paulina Luna, someone who I have great deal respect for, and she fights hard for the country, introduced a resolution, controversial resolution, by the way, to say that Adam Schiff needs to be held accountable for the nonsense, the lies. [00:05:26] When he was head of the intelligence committee, lying about Donald Trump repeatedly for political purposes and aims, she introduced a piece of legislation to censure Adam Schiff, and she had some fines associated with it. [00:05:40] Now, remember the context. [00:05:42] Context is super important in life. [00:05:44] The context is they just indicted Donald Trump on 37 accounts, on 37 counts, 37 counts. [00:05:52] This is the context of the week. [00:05:53] You're fired up. [00:05:54] You feel as if you are under attack. [00:05:56] Your movement is being persecuted. [00:05:58] And you're like, hey, House of Representatives, what are you going to do? [00:06:01] Are you going to step up? [00:06:03] So Ana Paulina introduces this piece of legislation. [00:06:06] But let's just go back and remind ourselves of exactly what Adam Schiff did, the lies. [00:06:12] He spread the misinformation that he peddled. [00:06:16] Play cut 73. [00:06:18] I think there's plenty of evidence of collusion or conspiracy in plain sight. [00:06:22] But you admit it's a circumstance. [00:06:24] All you have right now is a circumstantial case. [00:06:27] Actually, no, Chuck. [00:06:28] I can tell you that the case is more than that. [00:06:31] The only thing I can say is that it would be irresponsible for us not to get to the bottom of this. [00:06:37] We really need to find out exactly what the Russians did. [00:06:40] For example, in that Trump Tower meeting, there was a clear intent to collude with the Russians. [00:06:45] There was a willingness to receive Russian help. [00:06:48] The president himself called on the Russians to assist his campaign by hacking Hillary Clinton's emails. [00:06:53] But then, most pernicious, his use of his office, his abuse of his power, to attempt to get an ally to help him cheat in the next election. [00:07:03] He abused his power and his quote-unquote reputation as head of the House Intelligence Committee. [00:07:08] Adam Schiff is a traitor to the United States. [00:07:11] And we've said that repeatedly, and we should say it again. [00:07:13] He is a bad person. [00:07:15] He's a scumbag. [00:07:16] And he has not been held accountable. [00:07:18] And he is actively running for the United States Senate seat in California. [00:07:22] That's very important. [00:07:23] He wants to now become a senator. [00:07:25] He called Donald Trump a Russian agent. [00:07:27] He made people's life hell. [00:07:28] He would leak everything from the Intel community. [00:07:32] He brought in Donald Trump Jr. for dozens of hours of testimony. [00:07:36] He's a bad guy. [00:07:37] There's no debate about that. [00:07:39] So you would think that the week that Donald Trump is facing 100 years in prison, you know, gets indicted. [00:07:46] Hey, by the way, you might go to jail for a century, Donald Trump. [00:07:50] Yeah, if you live as long as Abraham or Moses, you will be able to serve out your entire prison term, like to your 176. [00:07:59] You would think that the Republican Party would get the memo that now's the time to hold the line. [00:08:07] You would think that the Republican Party would say, hey, the leader of the opposition party, even though you might not like his tweets and you might not even think what he did on the document stuff was perfect, There's probably a bigger game at play here that the other side needs to understand that if you go after one of our own, we're going to go after someone like Adam Schiff and hold him accountable. [00:08:30] I'm going to go after, hold him accountable for legitimate misdeeds. [00:08:35] But I'm troubled to report that yesterday, Congresswoman Ana Paulina Luna's resolution in front of the House of Representatives failed. [00:08:45] 20 Republicans, of which we will name those names on this program, can we get the roll call, did not want to do it. [00:08:53] Now, some of the arguments that are being made are interesting. [00:08:56] They're not convincing to me. [00:08:57] But I look, Congressman Massey, who I do have respect for, who I think is right on a lot of things. [00:09:04] And I vehemently disagree because I don't think he sees the full picture here. [00:09:08] He says, look, this is not right because it would be wrong if the majority party now has the power to issue fines. [00:09:15] The whole idea is the fines on Adam Schiff. [00:09:18] Should he have to pay something like $16 million fines, $60 million in fine. [00:09:23] And he says this. [00:09:24] He says, look, it's wrong for the majority party to then be able to use their power to potentially bankrupt the minority party. [00:09:31] Even though Nancy Pelosi did issue fines for not wearing masks during COVID, how many principles will we, the Republican side, hold if the enemy is holding none? [00:09:44] We're going to keep on saying, well, you know, we're better than this. [00:09:47] We're above this. [00:09:48] We're not going to do this. [00:09:50] How many abstract principles will we continue to hold to when the opposition has zero? [00:09:58] A week where Donald Trump now faces 100 years in prison, your Republican Party cannot get their act together to censure and fine Adam Schiff for crimes against the country. [00:10:15] I want to talk about ReliefFactor.com. [00:10:17] I want you guys to check out ReliefFactor.com, 100% drug-free, knee pain, back pain, joint pain, elbow pain. [00:10:35] Not everybody sleeps. [00:10:37] We're all about helping people live lives that are filled with connection, exploration, passion, and emotion. [00:10:41] That is what his life is all about. [00:10:43] Make sure you guys are sleeping well. [00:10:45] It's a major part of life. [00:10:46] Check it out right now, relieffactor.com, relieffactor.com. [00:10:52] I'm fired up about this. [00:10:53] The fact that Republicans, the Republican Party could not hold Shifty Schiff accountable. [00:10:59] The same week that they just unapologetically go indict Donald Trump on 37 counts. [00:11:07] What game are they playing exactly? [00:11:09] I have an answer to that. [00:11:10] I know what game they're playing. [00:11:13] They're playing a baseball game. [00:11:16] Now, look, I'll be very honest. [00:11:17] I can see it both ways. [00:11:18] I love baseball. [00:11:19] At least I used to. [00:11:20] I don't really watch baseball much anymore. [00:11:21] It's become so woke, and it's just not the same sport. [00:11:26] I love the 2016 Cubs, obviously, when they won the World Series, the O5 White Sox. [00:11:32] I think baseball is a beautiful sport. [00:11:34] I could talk endlessly about how beautiful of a sport it is. [00:11:39] But last night was the congressional baseball game. [00:11:42] So I'm watching this congressional baseball game. [00:11:44] And I say this is I love baseball. [00:11:46] And I'm disgusted. [00:11:48] And I'm torn on this because I should necessarily allow my emotions to lead always kind of okay. [00:11:56] You should probably check your emotions. [00:11:58] But when these 20 Republicans, the same day they refuse to hold Adam Schiff accountable, let's put that graphic up. [00:12:05] Kelly Armstrong from North Dakota, Laurie Chavez, Juan Siscamani, Tom Cole, Warren Davidson, Brian Fitzpatrick, Kay Granger, Garrett Graves, Tom Keene, Kevin Kiley, ridiculous, Young Kim, Mike Lawler, Thomas Massey, Tom McClintock, Mark Molinaro, Jay Albernate, Mike Simpson, Michael Turner, David Valado, or whatever, and Steve Womack from Arkansas. [00:12:33] The same day that those 20 say, you know, we're not going to hold Adam Schiff accountable, totally misreading the room and not understanding the times where they're criminalizing paperwork stuff all because Donald Trump is a leading presidential candidate. [00:12:47] They say, no, we're not going to show the Democrats that we mean business. [00:12:53] They go vote and then hurry up and go put their cleats on to go play a congressional baseball game. [00:13:01] So look, I think that in normal times, I think there's totally a place for a congressional baseball game. [00:13:07] Under normal times, I'd love to kind of have Happy Talk Patty Cake take me out to the ball game with Democrats, with Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill. [00:13:17] But when they indict a former president and the leader of the opposition party on 37 accounts, on 37 counts, the Republican Party should have said, we're not going to play games with you, Democrats. [00:13:32] We're done. [00:13:33] What a message that would have sent. [00:13:35] What a message that would have sent if they would have showed up to the baseball game. [00:13:37] They said, you know what? [00:13:39] We're not playing this year. [00:13:41] We're done. [00:13:42] Instead, you know, I have to say, oh, well, you know, Republicans won the game and Republicans crushed the Democrats by a score of 16 to 6. [00:13:49] You guys are literally playing games. [00:13:52] Literally playing games while our republic is at stake. [00:13:55] This is not normal times. [00:13:58] Indicting the leader of the opposition party for political purposes using Soviet-style, KGB-style, Maoist tactics. [00:14:05] And we say, hey, let's go beat him in a baseball game. [00:14:08] They say, well, it's really good, you know, to try to win over bipartisanship so we could work on bills. [00:14:12] I don't want bipartisanship right now. [00:14:15] I want accountability for these maggots that are destroying our country. [00:14:19] I don't want to have some sort of bipartisan compromise to go send that thug Zelensky more money or to keep our borders completely wide open or to bring in more plastic from China. [00:14:28] Cheerio, let's just, you know, have a great ball game, everybody. [00:14:32] That is a 1990s America that the Democrats killed. [00:14:38] And so, yeah, I see it both ways. [00:14:40] I think some people will email me. [00:14:41] They say, well, Charlie, come on. === Rejecting Bipartisan Compromise (02:34) === [00:14:42] Is that just another thing that we just want to be filled with rage and with anger? [00:14:48] But what are we raging and angry about? [00:14:51] That's not a default setting. [00:14:52] I don't enjoy being angry all the time. [00:14:56] But I or you and our side, we didn't write that indictment against Donald Trump. [00:15:01] We are simply reacting, I believe, righteously against a mass injustice of, again, the leading presidential candidate of an opposition party where unelected bureaucrats and administrative state agents think they get to choose who the president of the United States gets to be, destroying the promise of the consent to the governed and obliterating the United States Constitution. [00:15:22] And I have to watch a bunch of Republicans act as if they're Joe DiMaggio and doing their best Albert Pujol's impressionation. [00:15:29] Great. [00:15:30] Hilarious. [00:15:31] You won 16 to 6. [00:15:32] The country is dead. [00:15:33] I don't care if you win a baseball game against the Democrats. [00:15:35] I wouldn't have said this five years ago. [00:15:37] I think this thing was really fun. [00:15:38] Cool. [00:15:39] Wow. [00:15:39] Look at how old the Democrats are, so they can't win games anymore. [00:15:43] And they're like stumbling over themselves when they're trying to steal second base. [00:15:47] That's hilarious. [00:15:48] Yeah, the country is in a dire moment right now. [00:15:53] We are under a metaphorical blitz. [00:15:57] I have an interesting question. [00:15:59] When London was being blitzed by the Nazis, were they doing baseball games with the parliament? [00:16:09] Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Mike Lindell, great American patriot, has MyPillow. [00:16:14] It's launching MyPillow 2.0. [00:17:20] I want to be clear. [00:17:21] Most Republicans voted for this. [00:17:22] I think that's a really important point. [00:17:23] And Thomas Massey makes a very technical argument. [00:17:26] But if I were to respectfully push back against Thomas Massey, who's been on this program, and I think he's right on a lot of different stuff, you think the Democrats really care about principle? [00:17:34] The Democrats are bloodthirsty. [00:17:36] The Democrats are indicting Trump and indicting Bannon. [00:17:39] They raid James O'Keefe's apartment. [00:17:41] I mean, these people are playing for keeps. [00:17:43] We're not even playing the game. [00:17:44] No, we are playing the game. [00:17:45] We're playing baseball. [00:17:47] The Democrats will not take us seriously unless they believe there is a cost to their criminality. [00:17:54] If there is a cost to all the indecent acts against the country. [00:18:01] Now, the counterargument is like, well, look, we care about principles and they don't. [00:18:05] Therefore, we're better than them. [00:18:07] I think that's happy talk. [00:18:09] And by the way, I don't think there's anything unprincipled about levying a fine against a traitor who used the chairmanship of the House Intelligence Committee to peddle a lie to destroy a presidency. [00:18:19] We're not talking about peddling a fine for some insignificant thing. [00:18:23] And Adam Schiff is now running for the United States Senate in California. [00:18:26] He very well might become a senator. [00:18:29] And Republicans can't agree in the context of Donald Trump being indicted on 37 federal counts. [00:18:38] So Mike Pence was asked about this on the Clay and Buck Travis radio program. [00:18:44] I am confused. [00:18:46] I think Mike Pence should go be a pastor. [00:18:48] I think he's a good Christian. [00:18:50] He's been loyally married to his wife. [00:18:52] He does believe in Christ and the word of God. [00:18:57] I don't know. [00:18:58] I do not know why he's running for the presidency. [00:19:03] I don't. [00:19:05] I don't know what constituency he thinks he's going to win over. [00:19:09] I don't know why he's doing this to himself. [00:19:11] I don't. [00:19:12] Because it's not going to go well. [00:19:13] This is just the beginning of widespread media, right-wing media attacks and humiliation against him. [00:19:19] And I say this actually as someone who was always very sweet to me. [00:19:22] He took me on Air Force 2. [00:19:24] We had a great time together. [00:19:26] I thought him to be very clear with me. [00:19:28] He spoke at our events. [00:19:29] I'm just being very honest with I am saying public and private. [00:19:32] I have no idea why he's running for the presidency. [00:19:35] This is not good for his career. [00:19:36] It's not good for the country. [00:19:38] And by the way, I'm getting tons of angry messages. [00:19:40] Charlie, how dare you say something good about him? [00:19:42] I'm just an honest guy. [00:19:43] Mike Pence was always very good to me. [00:19:45] Okay? [00:19:47] I don't know why he's running. [00:19:48] And he's totally wrong with how he's handling this document thing. [00:19:50] He is just so off the mark. [00:19:52] I don't know what constituency he thinks he's going to win over. [00:19:54] I don't know what community of voters he thinks he's going to be able to be persuasive to. [00:19:59] And so Clay and Buck on their program ask Mike Pence, will you pardon Donald Trump? [00:20:05] Play cut 75. [00:20:06] Let's presume you're fortunate enough to take oath of office January 2025, you become the next president of the United States. [00:20:12] Donald Trump is convicted of what I think you would agree are clearly, to a large degree, political-based charges. [00:20:20] Would you pardon him from those federal charges? [00:20:23] Well, first off, these are serious charges. [00:20:27] And as I said, I can't defend what's been alleged, but the president does deserve to make his defense. [00:20:33] And I take the pardon authority very seriously. [00:20:35] It's an enormously important power of someone in an executive position. [00:20:40] And I just think it's premature to have any conversation about that right now, guys. [00:20:46] Oh, man. [00:20:48] I'm going to get a lot of hate mail for this, but I don't care. [00:20:51] It's true. [00:20:52] Mike, just drop out of the race because you were always good to me. [00:20:56] I'm telling you, man, you don't want to keep running. [00:20:59] This is not going to end well. [00:21:00] This is really bad. [00:21:02] You're not going to get invited to a Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner in rural Arkansas after this. [00:21:09] You're not going to get a book deal. [00:21:10] You're going to be like Chris Christie on steroids. [00:21:12] Just say, you know what? [00:21:14] I announced too soon. [00:21:16] I'm done. [00:21:18] You are totally misreading the room. [00:21:21] You are so out of touch with what voters want. [00:21:25] You are so out of touch with where the conservative base is. [00:21:29] That is a smug answer. [00:21:32] That is a DC script in it. [00:21:35] Well, these are very serious charges. [00:21:37] Oh, man. [00:21:40] Clay responds, challenging him, play cut 76. [00:21:44] I mean, look, we either believe in our judicial process in this country or we don't. [00:21:49] We either stand by the rule of law, we don't. [00:21:52] I just, what I would tell you is, I think, as someone who's a- What I'm hearing is you're fine with Donald Trump being put in prison, sir. [00:21:59] And that, to me, since you were his vice president, feels pretty disrespectful. [00:22:03] I had a standard rule. [00:22:05] I don't talk about hypotheticals. [00:22:07] Hold on, talk about hypotheticals. [00:22:08] You're running for the presidency. [00:22:09] And I got to tell you, Mike Pence, either we trust our judicial process or not. [00:22:13] I don't trust our judicial process. [00:22:16] Are you kidding me? [00:22:17] Mike Pence, you mean the judicial process that just cleared you of documents? [00:22:22] They could have imprisoned you, but you're not a threat to them, Mike Pence. [00:22:27] You're trying to tell me that you handled everything perfectly. [00:22:31] They released you from criminal indictments or threats because they would love Mike Pence, because you stand for neoliberalism and you're polling with nine people in Iowa. [00:22:45] I believe in the judicial process. [00:22:46] The same judicial process that has Steve Bannon under indictment that went after Dinesh D'Souza, that raided James O'Keefe's home, the same judicial process that has a meme maker, Douglas Mackey, going to prison for nearly a decade for a joke. [00:23:01] Either we trust the judicial process or not. [00:23:03] Wake up, call Mike Pence. [00:23:05] Half the country doesn't trust the judicial process in this country. [00:23:09] He's an institutionalist defending all this injustice. [00:23:14] We got January 6th prisoners rotting in a gulag in pretrial detention. [00:23:21] Well, either we trust the judicial process or not. [00:23:24] You mean with activist judges that were overturning Trump's executive orders at every turn? [00:23:28] No, I don't trust that judicial process. [00:23:30] You mean an activist judge like we have in Florida that said, well, you know, gender is what you want it to be. [00:23:36] I don't trust the judicial process of what it's become in this country. [00:23:39] I don't trust the FBI. [00:23:41] I don't trust Christopher Wray. [00:23:42] I don't trust the Department of Justice. [00:23:44] Mike Pence, you're trying to tell me I'm supposed to trust the digital process where John Durham issues this book report and nobody goes to jail. [00:23:51] What are you trusting exactly, Mike Pence? [00:23:53] The answer is he's trusting because he got off for the document stuff and Trump didn't. [00:24:00] It works for Mike Pence. [00:24:02] He's a beneficiary of this system. [00:24:05] And he'll say, oh, well, I handled everything fine and everything good and Donald Trump mishandled stuff. [00:24:10] That is rubbish. [00:24:12] That is nonsense. [00:24:13] Don't give me that crap. [00:24:16] You show me the man, I'll show you the crime. [00:24:17] You're trying to tell me there was not one thing that they could have micro-targeted with Mike Pence. [00:24:21] If Mike Pence was number one in the polls and talking about ending the war in Ukraine and Mike Pence was talking about closing the border and holding China accountable and Mike Pence was leading a populist nationalist movement or threatening Schedule F for obliterating the deep state, you're trying to tell me the Department of Justice would have said, up, actually, you're free to go run for the presidency, pal. [00:24:41] And yay, they do a press release saying that Mike Pence, all investigations are dropped and he happens to just have a presidential announcement three days later. [00:24:48] No, Donald Trump is saying we're going to have four years of retribution. [00:24:54] Mike Pence says, well, these are very, very serious charges. [00:25:00] This is why we lose. [00:25:02] We've got a Republican Party playing baseball, unwilling to hold Adam Schiff accountable. [00:25:07] We have a former vice president running against his president. [00:25:11] By the way, he calls him my former running mate. === Misrepresented Conservative Base (05:08) === [00:25:12] Have a little more respect, pal, okay? [00:25:14] You were in the doldrums of political irrelevancy until Donald Trump decided to make you vice president. [00:25:20] And the Democrats, they're looking at Mike Pence on this talk radio and they're laughing and they say, there's no opposition party. [00:25:27] There's no pushback. [00:25:29] Mike Pence didn't show up to Miami when Mike Pence called into a national radio program when given an opportunity. [00:25:34] I don't talk about hypotheticals. [00:25:36] Hey, bro, running for the president is a hypothetical. [00:25:39] The whole running for the presidency is a hypothetical. [00:25:42] I will do this on first day of office. [00:25:44] Hypothetical. [00:25:45] I won't do this. [00:25:46] That's a hypothetical. [00:25:48] Donald Trump is facing 100 years in prison for a paperwork dispute. [00:25:51] Meanwhile, House Republicans can't even manage to censure Adam Smith. [00:25:56] I was thinking of Jack Smith. [00:25:57] Adam Schiff for lying and deliberately leaking secret information to frame a sitting president and nullify a Democratic election. [00:26:04] Democrats play for keeps, and Republicans don't even play. [00:26:13] This is why we lose. [00:26:16] You, the grassroots. [00:26:18] You guys pay your taxes, show up to church, raise good kids, work hard, and you are being totally misrepresented by your leaders. [00:26:25] I think that's one of the main frustrations right now amongst the conservative base. [00:26:30] There's this significant, the most significant misalignment between the voters and the candidates. [00:26:36] And I'll be honest, when I started my political activism in 2010 and really got involved in 2012 in politics with Mitt Romney, the grassroots was nowhere near as educated, involved, aware as it is now. [00:26:54] I mean, the amount of sophistication I have with the Charlie Kirk show audience, I'm doing these live shows and you're coming up, you're telling me about World Economic Forum resolutions and World Health Assembly. [00:27:05] I mean, it's like, geez, the amount of depth. [00:27:08] You know, they're talking about their favorite part of the creature from Jekyll Island and the Federal Reserve Act. [00:27:15] The knowledge in the conservative base is extraordinary. [00:27:19] And a knowledgeable conservative base is a threat to the Unit Party. [00:27:22] They want you dumb. [00:27:24] They want you just to look at TV and say, oh, Republican good and Democrat bad. [00:27:27] They don't want you to know about the nuances of legislation. [00:27:29] That's what we do here on this program. [00:27:31] They hate the more information that we're able to shine on the cabal of D.C., they go nuts. [00:27:39] And so in the this is so tough for me because I look back at my political career and I look at people that I used to look up to as this guy is going to do something great for us. [00:27:50] This guy is going to fight for us. [00:27:51] And then I look at them now and it's completely unrecognizable. [00:27:54] And they are purchased by lobbyists and they're in this strange Washington, D.C. speak. [00:28:03] And so we go through this. [00:28:04] You know, again, we're doing baseball games. [00:28:06] Democrats are ruining the country. [00:28:07] They're indicting Trump. [00:28:09] Mike Pence, completely underwhelming answer there. [00:28:12] Very, very disappointing and just full of holes. [00:28:15] But someone who was going to be president of the United States, a former Speaker of the House, does an interview, Paul Ryan. [00:28:22] And I am the first one to admit I was young, naive, and I thought this guy was really going to be the future of the party. [00:28:28] Producer Andrew, I think, shared that view. [00:28:31] He seemed to be really clear and a consensus builder, really strong on fiscal discipline. [00:28:37] And he's a uniparty hack. [00:28:39] He is a neoliberal. [00:28:41] So he was pressed on an interview about chemical castration of kids, grooming, and Paul Ryan wants to make sure he doesn't offend his corporate donors or his corporate allies in the lobbying world. [00:28:56] And he says, I'm not a culture war guy. [00:28:59] This is an extraordinary piece of tape. [00:29:01] And it fits this theme. [00:29:03] Why are we losing the country? [00:29:05] It's not because of you. [00:29:06] You guys are doing your job. [00:29:08] You're praying for your country. [00:29:10] You're involved. [00:29:10] You're precinct committee men. [00:29:12] It's because your leaders hate you and they don't share your values and they'll lie to you to get power. [00:29:19] Play cut 24 of Paul Ryan telling you that getting involved in school boards is not really his thing. [00:29:26] Instead, I don't want to do polarizing stuff. [00:29:29] Instead, I want to be focused on China and cutting Social Security. [00:29:32] Play Cut 24. [00:29:34] Republican lawmakers around the country are pushing legislation when it comes to banning books. [00:29:40] It could be trans rights. [00:29:42] Call it anti-woke, however you want to label it. [00:29:44] Is that a good approach, a good strategy? [00:29:46] You're a football fan. [00:29:46] Is that the way you should approach it? [00:29:48] Yeah, I'm not a culture war guy. [00:29:49] I think it's really polarizing. [00:29:50] Look, on some of these issues, I'll side with the anti-woke crowd. [00:29:54] But to me, I'm worried about a debt crisis. [00:29:57] I'm worried about the future of our country and China. [00:30:00] There are big policy problems that we need to tackle if we want to have a great 21st century for this country. [00:30:06] But for me, I'm an old Jack Kemp guy. [00:30:08] I believe in inclusive aspirational politics. [00:30:10] Solve problems. [00:30:12] We got huge problems. [00:30:13] Dodge, dodge, dodge, keep the checks flowing. [00:30:16] Dodge, dodge, dodge, keep the checks flowing. [00:30:19] Worthless. === Avoiding Culture War Polarization (01:12) === [00:30:20] Get off the airwaves, Paul Ryan. [00:30:23] I'm not a culture war guy. [00:30:24] Yeah, you are Vichy French guy is what you are. [00:30:27] Go ahead. [00:30:27] Take over our lands. [00:30:28] Conquer our territory. [00:30:30] Groom our kids, pervert our schools, infect our lands. [00:30:33] But can I be in charge of the 30-year debt plan to make sure that we're actually only growing spending by 2% instead of 4.5%? [00:30:41] At least I don't get called Hitler, and at least I get invited to the cocktail party at the Kennedy Center. [00:30:46] I'm a respectable Republican. [00:30:49] I still get invited to Lockheed Martin's Gay Pride celebration. [00:30:53] Look at me. [00:30:53] I'm Paul Ryan. [00:30:55] It's Paul Ryan and Mike Pence. [00:30:57] These people are institutionalists of a system that no longer exists. [00:31:03] I'm a reasonable guy. [00:31:04] Look at me. [00:31:05] I'm Speaker Paul Ryan. [00:31:08] Available for hire for $80,000 a month to push your piece of legislation of your choice, as long as you don't make me say something bad against groomers.
