[00:01:27] Now, Ryan, that's how you say your last name, right? [00:01:29] It's Bethay or Bethea. [00:01:31] Well done. [00:01:31] You're the first person in like two years to get that correct. [00:01:35] So I applaud you. [00:01:36] I've only known you for eight years. [00:01:37] So I'm glad I can say the last name correctly. [00:01:41] Welcome to you both. [00:01:42] This is a heavy topic, and I mean that in the best possible way. [00:01:46] I do want to begin our conversation with playing the cut to the trailer of your upcoming film or the podcast product, I should say, The Exorcist Files. [00:01:55] Let's play Cut 75. [00:01:58] What Hollywood portrayed in the movie The Exorcist was levitations, vomiting, spitting at the priest with an uncanny marksmanship. [00:02:06] All of that has not been a movie for me. [00:02:09] I have seen that firsthand. [00:02:10] My name is Father Carlos Martins. [00:02:13] I am a priest of the Catholic Church. [00:02:15] I was an atheist until as a young adult, the Lord brought me out of darkness. [00:02:19] And since then, I've been living in his love. [00:02:25] But I've also seen things, very evil things, things that I wish weren't true. [00:02:32] The job of the exorcist, properly speaking, is not to cast out the devil. [00:02:36] The job of the exorcist is to find out why is the devil there. [00:02:40] What rights has the demon gained? [00:02:43] What doorway has he entered through? [00:02:50] This is the first time I've opened my files about these battles to the public. [00:02:57] Wow. [00:02:58] Father, welcome. [00:02:59] Please introduce yourself to our audience, and we're going to go into this in great detail. [00:03:04] The floor is yours. [00:03:05] Sure. [00:03:05] Sure. [00:03:06] Good to be here, Charlie. [00:03:07] I am Father Carlos Martins. [00:03:09] I am the priest that was featured on that clip just now. [00:03:12] So walk us through. [00:03:13] You said you started as an atheist and now you are a priest. [00:03:16] Tell us about that. [00:03:18] Yeah, so I converted midway through my undergraduate degree when I was in college. [00:03:25] I was taken with the witness of a group of, a very small group of faithful Christian students and a couple of professors and an experience of the Lord very dramatically and became a believer. [00:03:44] And then some years after that, I sensed a call to the priesthood. [00:03:48] From the beginning of that call, I was placed within exorcisms By exorcists, as starting out as their assistants and then kind of taking over. [00:04:03] And so I've been working that for the better part of 20 years. [00:04:08] Wow. [00:04:09] I have several questions, and we are going to get to that. [00:04:12] Ryan, you first told me about this project years ago, and you're a serious Christian, and you and I both know plenty of secularists and secular materialists and atheists. [00:04:22] And your approach was unusual, but quite honestly, very profound. [00:04:26] Where you said a backdoor way to prove that there is an invisible dimension, that there is something beyond just our five senses, might actually be to talk about people who deal in the darkest elements of our existence, also known as exorcism or exorcist or exorcism. [00:04:42] Walk us through that, Ryan. [00:04:44] Yeah, so I mean, you know, obviously, when we did this, I tried to take a very journalistic approach to this. [00:04:49] And, you know, obviously, when I was offered an introduction to meet Father Martins, there's a natural fascination that comes up with this topic. [00:04:56] But I do think it's better for everyone if we're able to actually, you know, look for stories that suggest that we are more than just, you know, flesh and body. [00:05:07] And there's a soul aspect to humanity. [00:05:10] And what makes me fascinated with this topic is to explore these stories. [00:05:14] And you'll find that there's, regardless of whether one believes the claims that we have in this show, the fact is, a vast majority of people, in fact, I think roughly 45% of Americans say they believe in ghosts in general. [00:05:27] So I think this will ring true to a lot of folks. [00:05:30] But overall, I just think it's a really important way for us to tell stories that suggest that there is something else going on. [00:05:37] I actually joke and I say, look, I'm 90% sure I think I know what's going on, but the reality is when you hear stories like this, you realize there is a lot going on beneath the surface that we have no idea about. [00:05:48] And these stories are just, I mean, nothing has prepared me for when I first met Father and he told me these stories in a monastery in Detroit. [00:05:56] I didn't know how to react to it. [00:05:58] So it was, I'm hoping other people will have, regardless of your beliefs, I think you will find these stories chilling and also edifying in the sense that they all, for the most part, end pretty well. [00:06:08] People find freedom and liberation here. [00:06:10] So, Father Carlos, an initial question I have before we dive into the specifics is: from my understanding, it's unusual for someone who's involved in exorcisms to publicly declare they're involved in exorcisms. [00:06:22] From what I was told once by a priest, is that they usually don't advertise that because you never know kind of who's going to show up and ask. [00:06:28] Is that correct? [00:06:29] Oh, sure. [00:06:30] Yeah, absolutely. [00:06:32] And why would a priest not do that? [00:06:35] Because then your door is advertised, so to speak, and you get every kind of human being coming to your doors. [00:06:43] You know, my cat gets the flu seven times per year. [00:06:47] I know it's the devil, Father. [00:06:49] Can you take the devil out of my cat? [00:06:53] And then everything else, you know, people with mental illness. [00:06:55] And, you know, that people with mental illness, they suffer a lot. [00:06:59] And, you know, God bless them. [00:07:03] They're in agony. [00:07:05] And the thought and their mental illness can impress itself upon them that it feels like a religious experience. [00:07:13] It feels like something negative. [00:07:15] It feels like something spiritual. [00:07:18] And that happens a lot. [00:07:20] And so for them, the fact that, okay, here's an exorcist, he can heal me. [00:07:27] He can cure me. [00:07:29] He can drive whatever is in me is out. [00:07:31] That it's a great, it's a great hope or great temptation to believe in that as kind of a, you know, like I can go in for a session two hours later. [00:07:41] I'm kind of home free. [00:07:45] So for these reasons and for others, exorcists don't typically advertise their identity. [00:07:50] Why am I doing so now? [00:07:53] Because I think We're getting worse in Western society. [00:07:59] There's a de-Christianization within the values of Western society, and we're embracing something that is really dark. [00:08:08] And the value of the human person is while the human person is being devalued. [00:08:15] And so we have to approach things differently. [00:08:19] And so I thought, you know, I think with the experiences that I've had, they can benefit more than just people who come to me specifically for exorcism, that this can be a way to approach people about the reality of the divine, but a reality also of God's enemy who is out there and who is very active. [00:08:40] So, Ryan, explain to us the media delivery platform that this is going to be on. [00:08:44] Podcast, it was a video trailer. [00:08:47] So, yeah, so walk our audience through that. [00:08:49] Yeah, we cut the trailer for TikTok and to take advantage of visuals. [00:08:52] So, it's actually, it's a podcast, but it's a 3D binaural podcast. [00:08:57] Which makes this different is that we used a 3D mic to actually go out in the field and actually pick up every acoustic nuance there is. [00:09:04] Father and I and our other producers felt that to really help bring this subject home, it would be important for people to get a sense of the reality of this. [00:09:13] So, you will be taken auditorily into the room and using this 3D mic, you will experience 3D surround sound. [00:09:19] So, it's a podcast on every platform. [00:09:22] Super quick, without burying the lead, do you guys actually go to an exorcism? [00:09:26] No, okay. [00:09:28] We don't go. [00:09:29] Father has plenty of stories, and exorcism very private, very serious. [00:09:33] And since you will not be able to partake in actually experiencing one, nor should you necessarily want to, you will actually, though, get a sense of these real stories. [00:09:40] Father narrates each story. [00:09:42] These are first-hand accounts from his case files that are then brought to life with these 3D reenactments. [00:09:47] Father Carlos, I want you to explain to our audience what you believe happens when an unclean spirit or a demon begins to possess a human form in your theological view and metaphysical view. [00:10:04] Walk us through that. [00:10:07] Yeah, sure. [00:10:08] So, when a demon inhabits a person and they inhabit really for two reasons: one, they hate man, they hate human beings, and we are beloved by God. [00:10:23] Anything that God loves, they detest. [00:10:25] And so, they want to prove God wrong by making his creature suffer. [00:10:30] So, they will work to bring affliction to make the person who is normally free unfree. [00:10:40] And secondly, they do it because it brings them some measure of comfort and solace. [00:10:48] So, the world, the demonic world is a world that is painful. [00:10:54] They are constantly suffering. [00:10:56] When they inhabit, there's a certain measure of relief that they get. [00:11:03] And we hear that from the Lord in the gospel when he says when a demon leaves somebody, he wanders through arid wastelands, or another translation could be deserts, seeking comfort but finding none. [00:11:18] And then he will always try to go back to where he came. [00:11:22] And so, that tells us there's a measure of alleviation in terms of suffering that they get when they inhabit a person. [00:11:29] So, those are the two kinds of motives. [00:11:33] When somebody is inhabited, they are unfree. [00:11:38] They, you know, when somebody is possessed, there are two souls, if you will, two spirits inhabiting one body. [00:11:47] I mean, at least two, because it's possible to be possessed by more than one spirit. [00:11:52] And so what you have is a fight for the controls. [00:11:56] And the demons being more powerful than a human person is, when they decide to exert that, then the human being doesn't stand a chance. [00:12:05] And so you have a state of possession. [00:12:09] And so does a demon need to be invited in? [00:12:14] Well, it does, but he doesn't need an explicit invitation. [00:12:18] What he needs is a doorway. [00:12:20] And in terms of a doorway, sin is the most obvious one. [00:12:25] And in terms of sin, the sins that violate the first commandment, the sovereignty of God. === The Doorway of Sin (04:05) === [00:12:32] So using the occult, for example, that would be the most common doorway along with sexual sins. [00:12:40] So those two doorways are the most common. [00:12:44] So one doesn't, you know, nobody wakes up in the morning and sets out, you know, hey, I'm going to go, I'm going to try to pick up three demons today. [00:12:51] But through their activity, they're giving demons jurisdiction because they're not placing God, who is the reason for our existence, at the center of their lives. [00:13:03] And so then once that portal or that doorway is opened, then they might unwittingly be captured by that unclean spirit. [00:13:14] Ryan, about a minute and a half in this segment, what did you learn on that particular topic we're focusing on through this process that will be illuminating for our audience? [00:13:25] I think it'll, rather than illuminating, I think it'll be frustrating. [00:13:28] One of the things you'll find is that, you know, if this is all true, if there is a sovereign God who is somehow orchestrating these events, that you will find that some people engage in activities, which you might think are completely invitational to these spirits and these events and nothing will happen. [00:13:46] And others will have things that would seem to be rather minor transgressions and can lead to this. [00:13:52] So I think one of the mysteries that people have to wrestle with is that you can't predict this. [00:13:57] There's definitely things you want to avoid based on this. [00:13:59] I would say, you know, after listening to this, you might rethink some certain things. [00:14:03] But overall, what certain things? [00:14:06] For example, Father said, you're talking about the occult. [00:14:08] There are particular board games that are designed to invoke spirits. [00:14:11] And perhaps you would choose to play Shoots and Ladders or Monopoly in lieu of occult invitational games. [00:14:16] That would be a primary recommendation I would have after the number of stories that have come from deliberate invitations of spirits via board games and activities. [00:14:26] I would set those aside and I wouldn't dabble with that anymore. [00:14:28] Yeah, Ouija boards being obviously one of the more popularized versions of that. [00:14:34] But unfortunately, the Tarot cards too. [00:14:36] I mean, I know very little about this, but I'm just speaking off the top of my head that I can imagine. [00:14:40] And I wonder if I'd love your thoughts of this. [00:14:42] Psychedelics are also potential portals. [00:14:44] I don't know if that's, if you find that to be true or not, Father, but that would be. [00:14:48] Absolutely. [00:14:49] Oh, you do. [00:14:49] Absolutely. [00:14:50] Even Reiki treatments at your local spa. [00:14:53] You know, Reiki purports to raise one's energy level by a practitioner who's been trained to do so. [00:14:59] Well, what you're talking about there is an occult activity. [00:15:02] You know, you're not talking about something that has its basis in medical science or in therapeutic science. [00:15:09] Like therapeutic massage is good for the body, you know, rubbing a sore muscle. [00:15:14] Be careful what portals you open. [00:15:19] Rents are soaring at unprecedented highs. [00:15:22] If you're renting or have a friend or family member that is, now is a great time to make the move to home ownership. [00:15:28] Look, you got to own renting, that's great, reset stuff. [00:15:31] Andrew Del Rey and Todd Avakian at Sierra Pacific Mortgage have helped so many people make that leap from renting to owning with lots of programs that offer first-time buyers assistance with little to no down payment needed. [00:15:44] I encourage you right now to visit my buddies, their website. [00:15:47] They're great guys. [00:15:48] They're Christians. [00:15:49] They're conservatives. [00:15:49] They love the Lord. [00:15:50] AndrewNTodd.com right now. [00:15:52] The thing I love about these guys is it's not about the transaction. [00:15:55] They're helping you create a plan to help you reach your goals. [00:15:59] Give them a call or go to their website, andrewandodd.com. [00:16:02] With today's still historically low interest rates, it's easier than you think to become a homeowner. [00:16:06] I've relied on them, and producer Andrew has as well. [00:16:09] I highly recommend you take action now. [00:16:11] And if you knew someone paying rent, tell them about Andrew and Todd. [00:16:14] Go to andrewandodd.com and tell them the Charlie Kirk Show sent you. [00:16:24] So, Father Carlos, give us an example or a story that you are comfortable sharing of someone that was possessed. [00:16:33] And as you're comfortable, give us one of those stories. [00:16:37] Yeah, sure. === A Tragic Spiritual Encounter (07:03) === [00:16:38] So, there was a gentleman one time who had a he came to see me. [00:16:46] He had experienced a debilitating depression for months. [00:16:51] He had been a successful entrepreneur at the same time. [00:16:54] He was getting a graphic arts degree, very, very successful, just was at the top of the world. [00:17:01] And all of a sudden, kind of out of nowhere, a debilitating depression hit him. [00:17:07] He became a recluse. [00:17:09] He stopped being able to return his clients' calls, just didn't have the energy to do so, stopped eating, wouldn't answer the phone, had lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 pounds. [00:17:22] And so, finally, somebody had told him to come and see me. [00:17:27] And so, he made an appointment. [00:17:29] And when he came in, he moved as slowly as somebody who would be 98 years old. [00:17:36] And he sat down, and you could just see he was just wearied to death. [00:17:41] And I started talking to him and asking, you know, when did these symptoms begin? [00:17:47] And he could trace them back. [00:17:48] This was about April or May. [00:17:51] And he traced them back to it was the week following Labor Day. [00:17:57] And I said, okay, well, what were you doing on Labor Day? [00:18:01] And he had signed out a beach house, spent the weekend at the beach house with a lady that he met just the day before. [00:18:10] So they met up. [00:18:13] They spent the weekend together. [00:18:14] And so the next question that I asked is, well, were you sexually intimate with one another? [00:18:19] And he said, yeah. [00:18:21] And so after that encounter, after that weekend, did you ever see her again? [00:18:24] He said, no. [00:18:26] Not been able to reach her, but I never wanted to reach her either because I just didn't have the energy to do so. [00:18:33] And so what happened at that point is, and there's no other explanation other than this, he had a sexual encounter with her. [00:18:42] And the sexual dynamic in God's plan is the way by which two people become one. [00:18:48] We hear that in Genesis, the two become one flesh. [00:18:51] That's repeated in the New Testament. [00:18:54] And Paul, in fact, goes a step further and he says, those who go visit a prostitute are bonding with the prostitute and whatever is inside that prostitute. [00:19:07] And so what happened there was a transference of spirits. [00:19:12] And so he was incredulous about this because he had been sexually active all of his adult life and nothing had ever happened. [00:19:22] And this becomes the most difficult thing to convince people about. [00:19:26] You know, like, hey, you know, I've done syn X or Act X many different times and nothing has happened. [00:19:36] And all of a sudden, for this time, something did. [00:19:40] So your explanation, Father, can't be the right one. [00:19:43] And my analogy for that is, you know, you can leave and go away on a vacation on a holiday and you can leave all the doors and windows of your house open and you come back and, you know, your house is fine. [00:19:55] But you can come back one time and there's a family of raccoons living in your house. [00:20:00] And now good luck at trying to get them out, right? [00:20:03] They are not going to appreciate you coming at them and shooing them out of what they have made their home. [00:20:10] And so that's the same thing happens in the spiritual realm. [00:20:15] And, you know, sadly with this individual, it took a long time to convince him of the truth of it. [00:20:20] And finally, what convinced him was the fact that every time I began to pray over him, he would lose consciousness. [00:20:30] So he couldn't recall. [00:20:32] He couldn't any of our encounters, there was just a gap in his mind. [00:20:36] And that's what possession is. [00:20:39] When a demon possesses, he's taking over the controls. [00:20:43] And so the human is pushed aside. [00:20:46] And he is no one, with very, very few exceptions, no one who is possessed remembers the encounter of the possession because that consciousness is taken over. [00:21:00] How were you able to successfully deliver him from that possession? [00:21:06] Well, so I'm not the one that delivers. [00:21:10] It's the victim that delivers himself with God's power. [00:21:13] So the job of the exorcist, and I repeat this over and over again, I'm famous for these lines. [00:21:20] People finish my sentence for me. [00:21:23] The job of the exorcist is not to cast out the devil. [00:21:26] The job of the exorcist is to find out why is the devil there? [00:21:29] What rights has he gained? [00:21:31] And then his job is to help the victim rescind those rights. [00:21:37] And so what I did was I got him to repent of his action, but even that in and of itself is not sufficient. [00:21:44] The evil spirit has to be replaced with another spirit, with God. [00:21:49] Otherwise, what you have is just a vacuum. [00:21:52] You haven't filled in the gaps with what ought to be there. [00:21:57] And so that just leaves an opportunity for the demon to come back and reinfect down the road. [00:22:03] And sadly for this individual, that did happen. [00:22:09] So the process of his liberation lasted for the better part of two years. [00:22:13] He was repossessed twice. [00:22:17] But in the end, it was part of God's plan because through those repossessions, he came to understand and slowly come to a belief, you know, this priest might in fact be right. [00:22:30] And so I'm going to try to do things his way exactly the way that he's saying so. [00:22:35] And when he did that, he achieved a permanent liberation. [00:22:38] He was never possessed. [00:22:40] And then he came into his faith and, in fact, became a youth minister at a church he began to attend. [00:22:47] And from up to that point, he didn't practice any kind of faith at all. [00:22:52] He was never raised with any kind of faith. [00:22:55] And so, you know, he was living, this person was living the ethic that he was taught and the ethic given to him by his parents and by the world that, hey, you know, he didn't consider himself a bad person. [00:23:09] And by the standards of the world, he wasn't. [00:23:11] He wasn't a bad person. [00:23:12] He wasn't hurting anybody. [00:23:13] He wasn't murdering anybody. [00:23:15] He wasn't stealing. [00:23:16] In fact, he was an entrepreneur. [00:23:18] He was contributing to society. [00:23:20] However, he got ensnared. [00:23:24] He opened a door to the demonic world and the demonic world pounced on that door. [00:23:30] And so until that door was closed and then the inside, until the habitation was filled with God, then he wasn't fully free. === Closing Doors to Freedom (10:38) === [00:23:41] So, Ryan, what other stories stuck out to you as you did this? [00:23:46] I'm sure that's one of many. [00:23:48] Well, as a savvy marketer, I will, of course, encourage listeners to download all of them for all the cases. [00:23:54] But look, the fact is, we try to create something that is ecumenical in the sense that a lot of people will enjoy this. [00:24:01] And if you're a fan of the conjuring or just the horror genre and you are interested in the manifestations, Father routinely is asked how accurate is the film The Exorcist. [00:24:10] And he will say that many of the things you witness in that are exhibited in these cases. [00:24:15] So there are board games that come alive, seemingly so. [00:24:19] There are accounts of people with superhuman strength, strange languages, people not having reflections. [00:24:26] Stuff that I recognize, and I come into this as a skeptic. [00:24:29] I believe in a supernatural, but I remember the first time I heard these stories and I said, like, I'm listening to Father, and I go, this just, this is wow. [00:24:39] And I think everyone will have that reaction. [00:24:40] So there's something for everyone, but there are stories that just are very chilling. [00:24:45] And again, there will be a frustration there because as humans, we want to understand and believe that we are absolutely in control of everything. [00:24:53] And I think a take-home message from this is that we are not. [00:24:56] And I would also want listeners to, you know, not, while we're trying to entertain, we're also trying to educate. [00:25:02] I want people to draw their own conclusions. [00:25:05] This is not a look for demons. [00:25:06] Every time you get on the 405 and there's bumper-to-bumper traffic, you know, is this the result of the demonic? [00:25:12] Well, if it's at five o'clock, maybe, but you know, it's the reality is there, this is not something that is, we want people to preoccupy their lives with. [00:25:20] But for a vast majority of the world, I think there is a reality of the supernatural that we in Western culture tend to maybe dismiss. [00:25:29] And I found it very interesting that almost every culture that I researched, and I researched a lot and talked with many individuals who are credible, smart, they all have accounts and prescriptions for how to deal with spirits. [00:25:43] So there's this consensus, I think, around the world that we are not just, you know, flesh and mind, but also soul. [00:25:49] And there is a supernatural component to human beings that is explored in this show. [00:25:54] And I hope that you will figure that out. [00:25:56] So, Father, if you're comfortable answering this question, from what I understand, there can be a communication that you, the exorcist, have with the unclean spirit. [00:26:08] Is that correct? [00:26:12] I'm sorry. [00:26:13] Can you repeat the question? [00:26:14] So, if I understand correctly, in extreme cases, if you enter into an environment where someone is in need of an exorcism, the demon or the unclean spirit can speak through the body that they are inhabiting. [00:26:27] Oh, and he does, right? [00:26:29] He owns that body, so to speak, in that moment. [00:26:32] He inhabits the body. [00:26:33] And so, that's why, you know, one of the three classical signs of possession, which in the Catholic Church's manual, that a priest, there has to be at least one of these signs for him to proceed with the exorcism, is superhuman strength. [00:26:49] So, a strength that would be far beyond the capacity of the individual. [00:26:54] A 120-pound woman typically cannot pick up a 320-pound man and throw him 15 feet, right? [00:27:03] So, you've established there, if that happens, you've established the presence of the supernatural. [00:27:08] The same goes for knowledge of languages that the individual has never been taught. [00:27:14] I don't mean a few words, I mean speaking with perfect grammar in complete sentences. [00:27:21] And the third is knowledge of the occult, knowledge of what is hidden. [00:27:26] So, if he can recite all of the items in that list in your pocket or know at this precise moment, event X is happening, something that could not possibly be guessed, then you've established the presence of the supernatural. [00:27:43] And so, that power is coming from the demon. [00:27:47] It's not the individual. [00:27:49] You know, an exorcism session can last, you know, on average, one to four hours. [00:27:55] You have the individual typically struggling. [00:27:58] So, you know, I have two very large men, one holding down each of the victim's arms on top of a very large, strong oak wooden table. [00:28:08] You have another individual hugging the legs of that person, hugging the legs of the victim, in order to keep the person from flailing, from getting up, from running away. [00:28:22] You have those individuals squeezing and holding for all that they're worth in that time period. [00:28:29] At the end of it, at the end of, say, a four-hour session, the victim gets up and the victim is not tired at all because it wasn't the power of the victim. [00:28:38] It wasn't the victim's own strength that was causing this. [00:28:41] It was the demon. [00:28:45] I want to talk about relieffactor.com. [00:29:23] So, Father, just to kind of put a bow on that question: so, how do the unclean spirits respond to the name of Jesus? [00:29:33] Oh, they absolutely hate it. [00:29:35] They're weakened by it. [00:29:38] It's their kryptonite, so to speak, if we can speak that way. [00:29:42] And the interesting thing, too, is, you know, I've been an exorcist for a lot of years. [00:29:46] I know a lot of exorcists. [00:29:48] You know, our world is a very small world and we tend to know one another. [00:29:53] I have never, nor has any exorcist that I know, has never heard a demon disrespect the name of Jesus. [00:30:02] To state it differently, I have never heard a demon blaspheme, to use the name of Jesus disrespectfully, to use the two words God and then the word damn together. [00:30:14] I have never, nor has any colleague of mine ever heard a demon blaspheme. [00:30:21] So, when that happens in our lives, when that happens in a Hollywood movie, then we are going even beyond the realm of the demonic. [00:30:32] So, let me ask you: why do you think that is then? [00:30:35] Do you think that even the demon knows that they're not in charge, that they're not in control, that they actually fear the divine? [00:30:46] They absolutely fear God. [00:30:48] They respect God. [00:30:50] They hate God. [00:30:52] You know, I've seen many demons claim to be God. [00:30:56] I've seen many demons claim to modify the Judeo-Christian story and say that we've been told a lie. [00:31:05] So, that is not outside their purview at all. [00:31:09] But the act of disrespecting God's name is something that they never transgress. [00:31:16] And here's why: you have a name. [00:31:19] I have a name, but God is his name. [00:31:23] There are no parts in God. [00:31:26] God is a one complete unity, a transcendent unity. [00:31:31] So anything that one can say about God, we're talking about the entire God. [00:31:39] So the fact, so God's name, his identity is who he is. [00:31:45] So his intellect, his will, his strength, his power, his desire, and his name are all one thing. [00:31:53] You're talking about one reality. [00:31:56] And so that one reality is something that even the demons will not transgress. [00:32:02] They don't have the courage to take that on. [00:32:06] The great I am. [00:32:08] Ryan, tell us more about Exorcist Files before we wrap up the conversation. [00:32:11] When is it coming out? [00:32:13] How people can find it? [00:32:14] Just remind our audience that might be tuning in right now. [00:32:17] The Exorcist Files features the firsthand accounts and actual case files from Father Carlos Martins, who is a very respected exorcist. [00:32:25] We have taken these stories and provided dramatic reenactments in 3D audio. [00:32:30] It's a podcast available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, wherever you get your podcast. [00:32:36] And it comes out January 25th. [00:32:39] And I think everyone, you don't have to be Catholic or Protestant or secular or anything. [00:32:45] I think there's something in here for everybody. [00:32:47] And if you're just interested in this topic, I invite everyone to listen and make up their own minds. [00:32:51] There's a lot of people beyond just Father Martins who've weighed in and see and tell us their stories and what they experienced. [00:32:57] Father, a minute and a half remaining, you've been doing this for a while. [00:33:00] What is your final takeaway to an ever-increasingly secular world of what you have learned that you want to communicate to them? [00:33:08] Sure. [00:33:09] Yeah. [00:33:09] So I want everybody to know you were created for a purpose. [00:33:12] You were created in love. [00:33:14] God has a plan for you, even if you're not aware of it at this point. [00:33:17] He does have one. [00:33:18] You are important to him. [00:33:20] And he wants you to come into the fullness of the dignity and identity for which he created you. [00:33:26] And he is only too glad to bring you to that point. [00:33:29] And unfortunately, there is an enemy who wants to keep you from that. [00:33:33] And he forfeited his own birthright and he wants you to forfeit your own. [00:33:39] And so what I would encourage you to do is to give up the sin in your life, to accept Jesus Christ in your heart as your Lord and Savior and start living following his commands. [00:33:49] And in that, you will find your happiness both in this life and in the next. [00:33:54] It's beautifully well said. [00:33:56] Exorcist Files, Ryan Bethay and Father Carlos Martins, fascinating hour. [00:34:00] God bless you both. [00:34:01] Thank you. [00:34:02] God bless you.
