[00:01:26] Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com. [00:01:35] There is a $1 trillion bill laying on the sidewalk right now for Republicans. [00:01:41] I got a phone call the other day from a Republican running for the U.S. Senate, let's just say in a very competitive race, and he was asking for my advice. [00:01:50] I get phone calls like this all the time. [00:01:51] I told you about a call like this last week. [00:01:53] This is a different call. [00:01:54] And he said, Charlie, you know, we're not doing too great. [00:01:56] We're trying to do better. [00:01:57] We got some momentum. [00:01:59] What do you think I should be talking about? [00:02:01] What do you think I'm missing? [00:02:03] And I said, what's your message on crime? [00:02:06] And he said, oh, you know, we're talking about inflation and we're talking. [00:02:10] I said, hold on. [00:02:12] I said, what's your message on crime? [00:02:14] What are you talking about when it comes to the fundamental bedrock issue where the entire civilization is determined? [00:02:20] It is the civilizational defining issue. [00:02:24] Law and order are the issues, is the issue of which all other issues stem from. [00:02:29] You can't get this right. [00:02:30] Inflation, private property rights, stock market, forget it. [00:02:35] If you're afraid you are going to be murdered on the way to school, kidnapped, jogging in the morning before, as a teacher, are going to go teach your students, you're not living in a free country anymore. [00:02:47] And we've been warning against the bubbling up of this crime wave in America for quite some time. [00:02:51] It just seems right now as summer is ending and we're entering fall, it's hitting a crescendo. [00:02:57] It's hitting a climax, you could say. [00:02:59] Republicans out there are saying, How do we jumpstart our campaigns? [00:03:03] Well, you got to start to recognize and realize that the media is going to call you racist no matter what you do. [00:03:10] And that there is anxiety in all communities, black community, Latino community, the Asian community, every community, about what's happening with crime in America. [00:03:21] We're going to do an overview of what is driving the crime wave because I think there's a missing piece, which is the why. [00:03:27] What is the why? [00:03:28] Why are they doing this? [00:03:30] Then we're going to talk about what's happening in my home state of Illinois. [00:03:35] And for those of you nationally, you got to listen carefully. [00:03:38] It is the most extreme and outrageous no-bail policies, no cash bail policies that you could imagine. [00:03:47] America is becoming a very dangerous country. [00:03:51] And it's because of the intentional decisions of politicians that are deciding to make America more dangerous. [00:03:58] We've already decided to no longer be energy independent. [00:04:01] We've decided to no longer be wealthy. [00:04:03] We've decided to be poor. [00:04:04] And now we're deciding to live in a very dangerous country. [00:04:08] We are prioritizing foreigners over Americans, prioritizing criminals over law-abiding citizens. [00:04:15] And I had a phone call with someone who was running for the U.S. Senate in a very competitive race, and he asked me for advice. [00:04:22] I said, every time you get up on the stump, you need to be the harshest on crime of everybody. [00:04:27] This criminal justice reform movement is something at times I thought I could get along with. [00:04:32] It is all a bunch of nonsense. [00:04:34] It is horsepucky. [00:04:35] It is garbage. [00:04:37] Well, we have too many people in prison in America. [00:04:40] No, we don't have enough people in prison, actually. [00:04:43] The average rapist serves anywhere between five to seven years. [00:04:46] If you're a convicted rapist, you should serve a lot more than five to seven years. [00:04:50] Try 30 to 40. [00:04:52] No, the criminal justice reform movement has now taken over entire city, local, state governments. [00:05:00] The first example that we should zero in on is Memphis. [00:05:05] Memphis has already ranked among the most violent cities in America. [00:05:09] It's a very corrupt city. [00:05:10] It's a beautiful city. [00:05:11] I know a lot of people from Memphis, great people, but it's a very dangerous city. [00:05:15] I'm going to tell you about the story, the just awful story of what happened in Memphis recently. [00:05:23] You may have heard about it. [00:05:25] Of a teacher and a mom of two. [00:05:29] It's such a tragedy of what's happened here. [00:05:34] And of course, it is the story of Eliza or Liza Fletcher, a kindergarten teacher and a mother of two, went for a jog at 4:30 in the morning. [00:05:46] She was kidnapped last week while running near the University of Memphis. [00:05:51] She was kidnapped, forced into a van, and then murdered by a thug, Cleotha Abstin-Henderson, served already 20 years of a 24-year sentence for kidnapping another victim at gunpoint before he was released in 2020. [00:06:09] Did not serve his entire prison sentence. [00:06:12] Surveillance footage has shown Fletcher, a teacher and granddaughter of late billionaire, being violently forced into a GMC SUV while she was jogging at 4 a.m. on Friday. [00:06:23] We are now living in a country where if you are a woman, I would not leave the house alone at night or in the morning. [00:06:30] I'm not, this is the country you grew up in is over, and we're going to tell you why. [00:06:34] It's not just because criminals feel more emboldened, but the policies themselves have changed. [00:06:40] Abstin, the thug, was busted the next day after DNA linked him to a pair of slides left near the kidnapping scene. [00:06:48] To lose someone so young and vital is a tragedy, but to have it result from a senseless act of violence is unimaginable, the DA said. [00:06:56] Any murder is a tragedy. [00:06:58] Any murder in our jurisdiction is a high priority. [00:07:00] All deserve our care and best efforts, blah, But it doesn't stop there. [00:07:06] Just days later, a mass shooting happens in Memphis, where seven people are shot and four are killed. [00:07:14] Play cut 77. [00:07:16] I welcome being held primarily responsible for lowering violent crime, but I do not have the authority over bonds, over state sentencing laws, over rehabilitation of people in prison. [00:07:33] I need the public to hold other people accountable. [00:07:37] Because I'm tired of our police officers arresting the same people over and over and over, and those people committing violent acts. [00:07:47] I think the public's fed up with it too, but they need to let their voice be heard. [00:07:53] So that's the Democrat mayor of Memphis who's just trying his best to save his job. [00:07:58] Now he's blaming the state legislature and state sentencing laws. [00:08:03] That's strange. [00:08:04] Memphis is not in New York. [00:08:06] It's not in Massachusetts. [00:08:07] It's not in Washington. [00:08:09] Well, last year, and no one is talking about this, but we dug it up, I don't know, with one Google search. [00:08:14] And we don't know if this specific law impacted this, but it's interesting. [00:08:19] Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee, who I've met and is a nice person, last May signed criminal justice reform, calling it monumental, monumental criminal justice reform. [00:08:36] Tennessee Governor Bill Lee celebrated what he called a monumental day for his state and his term, signing two bills tied to his signature cause of criminal justice reform. [00:08:48] Flanked by supporters, Lee formally signed into law measures to divert more people away from state prisons and to expand support services for people who are leaving prisons after serving their sentences. [00:09:02] So I have a question, Governor Bill Lee. [00:09:05] Did your support services and your help make this guy less likely to go kidnap and murder a teacher and a mother going for a job at 4 o'clock in the morning? [00:09:17] The governor, when signing the criminal justice bill, struck a triumphant tone. [00:09:21] Remember, this is a Republican governor with the Republican legislature, saying the new laws would help generations of Tennesseans. [00:09:28] He predicted it would break cycles of crime and punishment and keep families intact. [00:09:34] Quote, people given a chance can turn their lives around only if we have a system and a process that allows them to have that chance. [00:09:42] Now, we don't know the intricacies of this particular release, but we do know this. [00:09:46] The governor of Tennessee was going in the direction of trying to make it easier where criminals like him can get out. [00:09:54] And then days later, mass shooting spree happens in Memphis. [00:09:59] So in a state like Tennessee, where the governor should be tough on crime, Republican legislature, he's doing the opposite. [00:10:05] Why? [00:10:06] Well, criminal justice reform has been very well funded by many different groups, left-wing groups, Soros, and others, to try to get a jailbreak operation, and Republicans are far too on board with it. [00:10:22] Now, is our prison system broken? [00:10:23] Of course, there's all sorts of things broken. [00:10:26] But you're going to make it easier for people to get out of prison so this guy can go kidnap a mother and a teacher. [00:10:33] Cut 80, this lunatic, is driving around Memphis just randomly shooting people. [00:10:38] Welcome to America. [00:10:40] You can hear him saying that it's going to go down. [00:10:42] He just is going downtown. [00:10:43] He's filming himself. [00:10:45] The preconditions for this? [00:10:47] A Republican governor of Tennessee, Bill Lee, that signed a criminal justice bill. [00:10:51] Did the one thing affect the other? [00:10:53] We can't yet prove that. [00:10:55] But why wasn't Governor Lee signing a bill that says, I'm going to keep you in prison longer, violent criminal? [00:11:02] Play cut 80 of the mass shooter that should still be in prison, by the way. [00:11:06] Play cut 80. [00:11:08] I'm doing this for real while I pray. [00:11:10] I ain't no nigga polling niggas, though. [00:11:13] This for real nigga. [00:11:14] This for real nigga. [00:11:16] I know 12 to get down on here. [00:11:17] Do I'm gonna do? [00:11:18] Go to the valley. [00:11:19] Shoot it out with them in the valley. [00:11:21] Hear him. [00:11:22] Just going around filming himself, just randomly shooting people. [00:11:26] And we look at his criminal record, if I'm not mistaken, right, Connor? [00:11:29] He should still be in prison if he served his entire sentence. [00:11:31] Is that right? [00:11:32] But he was let out early. [00:11:33] Was he let out early because of Governor Bill Lee, Republican governor of Tennessee? [00:11:38] I'm just asking. [00:11:39] Well, the mayor of Memphis thinks so. [00:11:42] Play cut 85. [00:11:43] He said if he served his full sentence, he'd still be in prison today. [00:11:46] Play cut 85. [00:11:48] If Mr. Keller Served his full three-year sentence. [00:11:55] He would still be in prison today. [00:12:00] And four of our fellow citizens could still be alive. [00:12:06] He says the problem is not the Memphis Police Department. [00:12:09] The problem is the judicial system that will not punish. [00:12:11] You mean the Republican state legislature and your Republican governor of Tennessee? [00:12:15] He served an 11-month for first-degree murder that was pleaded down. [00:12:20] So much to talk about. [00:12:24] Look, we talk about current events a lot on this show, but there's other things that are in life that are bigger than current events, bigger things. [00:12:30] We try to do some shows every so often on these things. [00:12:33] But look, what am I talking about when I say that? [00:12:35] How about good and evil? [00:12:36] Right and wrong, prayer and the Bible or heaven and hell. [00:12:39] So look, the great C.S. Lewis, who's one of the most amazing minds ever to exist, was a master at addressing these questions. [00:12:48] And that is why Hillsdale College, the great college, the only college, in my opinion, wants you to learn more about him and his writings and their newest free online course, C.S. Lewis on Christianity. [00:13:00] And it all starts with taking a short quiz to find out how much you already know about Lewis. [00:13:06] He wrote more than the Narnia series, by the way. [00:13:08] Look, Hillsdale College is amazing. [00:13:10] They defend liberty. [00:13:11] They pursue truth. [00:13:12] They do a great job. [00:13:14] So just write this down. [00:13:15] This should be your go-to resource. [00:13:16] Remember, I have taken 16 of their online courses and I have promised Dr. Arne I'm eventually going to finish them all. [00:13:23] Go to charlie4hillsdale.com to take this fun, interactive quiz, and then sign up for this free course. [00:13:28] The answers may even surprise you, even if you think you know everything about C.S. Lewis. [00:13:32] They surprised me, my goodness. [00:13:34] The quiz, the course, and everything you learn at Hillsdale College are yours for free, as always. [00:13:39] So take the C.S. Lewis quiz, charlie4hillsdale.com. [00:13:42] That is charlie4hillsdale.com. [00:13:44] Take as many online courses as you can. [00:13:46] The Constitution course is amazing, but their C.S. Lewis course is extraordinary. [00:13:53] And by the way, Hillsdale College, just phenomenal. [00:13:56] Charlie4Hillsdale.com. [00:14:00] Republicans are asking me all the time. [00:14:02] They're emailing me, they're texting me, Charlie, can you get on the phone? [00:14:04] My campaign's not doing well. [00:14:06] What advice do you have? [00:14:06] Talk about crime. [00:14:08] Now, the reason they don't like talking about crime is the local newspapers, they get really upset. [00:14:12] They say, oh, you're a racist for talking about crime. [00:14:15] Who cares what the local papers tell you about? [00:14:18] Protect your citizens. [00:14:19] You have people in Memphis going around doing random shooting sprees. [00:14:24] You got teachers being kidnapped at 4 o'clock in the morning, getting kidnapped and murdered. [00:14:31] And the mayor of Memphis, a Democrat, is blaming the state legislature and the Republican governor of Tennessee. [00:14:39] But it's obviously not just in Tennessee. [00:14:41] Memphis has a crime wave. [00:14:44] Chicago has a crime wave. [00:14:45] We're going to get to Chicago in just a second. [00:14:47] I got a whole thing to go on Chicago here. [00:14:50] But I want to just keep on repeating this point. [00:14:52] Republicans, November is not going to be about tax cuts. [00:14:57] Inflation is a big issue. [00:14:58] Crime, though, is an issue that is so personal. [00:15:02] It's so right up in your face. [00:15:04] And I'm going to walk through precisely and exactly what is the agenda as we go throughout this hour. [00:15:10] The agenda is not to have a safe society. [00:15:12] The agenda is not even to try to pander to all the BLM groups. [00:15:17] That's part of it. === Why Republicans Fear Crime Talk (02:57) === [00:15:18] Yes, there's bad ideology here, but part of this is being driven. [00:15:22] Part of Bill Lee signing in the criminal justice thing and part of Republicans always want to do this is white guilt. [00:15:31] The left, they are experts at weaponizing and utilizing white guilt. [00:15:38] Oh, you have white privilege. [00:15:40] That's why all of these fights about white privilege and white fragility are so important. [00:15:46] We go through this in great detail on our podcast. [00:15:48] We talk about postmodernism, post-structuralism, Jacques Derrida, Michelle Foucault, critical race theory, Derek Bell. [00:15:55] We talk about all the different philosophers and the ideas that have contributed to this nonsense that defund the police, there is no truth, let people out of prison. [00:16:03] Because we understand that ideas, these ideas are pathogens. [00:16:07] They germinate and eventually they could take over your entire society. [00:16:11] And some people just say, oh, Charlie, those are fringe ideas on college campuses. [00:16:15] No, those fringe ideas are now governing your cities. [00:16:20] It's policy. [00:16:22] Republicans, whether you're running for Senate in Pennsylvania against John Fetterman, who's a total joke, or up against Mark Kelly in Arizona or Raphael Warnock, every time that you get up on the stump, you need to say that I am going to be the harshest person on crime that you can imagine, especially people running statewide for governor's races. [00:16:41] We're going to lock them up and throw the key away if you are a violent criminal. [00:16:45] This entire idea of soft on crime, criminal justice, it is backfiring like you wouldn't believe. [00:16:51] And guess what? [00:16:51] No political party, in my personal opinion, is articulating this well. [00:16:55] Part of the appeal of Donald Trump, by the way, in 2016 was his tough on crime message. [00:17:00] You see, crime is an issue where some people are afraid to talk about it openly because they don't want to be called a racist, but it is an issue that can radicalize someone into a Republican overnight. [00:17:09] You know, everyone thinks that defunding the police is a great idea until someone defecates on your front lawn, your daughter gets kidnapped, or your neighbor's house gets burned down and looted. [00:17:19] And the person that did that is let off with no bail the next morning. [00:17:24] Play Cut 91, the surveillance footage appears to show the man accused of her abduction cleaning out his cars hours after she disappeared, play cut 91. [00:17:34] I don't think there's any sound here, but this goes to show the perp cleaning out his car after he kidnapped and murdered teacher mother in Memphis. [00:17:44] What is the Republican governor, Bill Lee of Tennessee? [00:17:48] Well, the direction he was going is, hey, guys, too many people in prison. [00:17:53] That's why Republicans are poised to lose. [00:17:55] If we are Democrat-liked, we lose in November. [00:17:59] Hey, we can reform prisons better than you can. [00:18:01] No, lock them all up. [00:18:03] You're a violent criminal kidnapping people? [00:18:06] You're done. [00:18:07] Sorry. [00:18:08] Think about how perverse you must be, how demented, how demonic, how evil you must be to kidnap somebody. === Emergency Food Preparedness Guide (03:44) === [00:18:15] If you're kidnapping somebody, you want to talk about a gateway drug to other crimes, you probably are not going to all of a sudden become alter boy of the local diocese. [00:18:28] Look, let me tell you, the worldwide food crisis is making headlines again. [00:18:32] Just recently, Business Insider said we're in a global food crisis that will wreak havoc on local economies and possibly trigger civil unrest. [00:18:40] They also said food shortages have led to civil unrest in the past with deadly consequences. [00:18:45] Remember, you are nine meals away from anarchy. [00:18:48] That's right, nine meals away from anarchy. [00:18:50] If not now to get prepared, then when? [00:18:53] Well, it's time to get emergency food with preparewithkirk.com. [00:19:37] There's something happening in Illinois that I think everyone needs to be aware of. [00:19:40] There is this act called the Safe Tea Act that somehow snuck through and hasn't been given the coverage that it deserves. [00:19:50] Now, Governor J.B. Pritzker, and I've made a couple promises. [00:19:54] I know, I'm not going to mention how J.B. Pritzker looks like a balloon. [00:19:57] I'm not going to do that anymore, right? [00:20:00] We're done talking about it. [00:20:01] I made a promise. [00:20:02] They said, a lot of people email that says, Charlie, stop making fun of people because of their weight. [00:20:06] You know what? [00:20:07] Fine. [00:20:09] I'm not going to say that J.B. Pritzker could have his own zip code. [00:20:13] I'm not going to do any of that. [00:20:15] Instead, I'm just going to say J.B. Pritzker was born on third and thought he hit a triple. [00:20:19] How about that? [00:20:21] He's a very big trust fund baby. [00:20:25] Never worked an honest day in his life, and now he's running what once was one of the greatest states in the country. [00:20:29] Now, anytime I talk about Illinois, I get very emotional and very heated. [00:20:36] And by the way, it should be that case for anyone's home. [00:20:39] Connor starts talking about Texas, he gets very fired up. [00:20:42] Andrew starts talking about Nevada, he gets really fired up. [00:20:45] Illinois is my home, and what they have done to Illinois is criminal what these people have been able to get away with. [00:20:52] So there's this bill that passed. [00:20:55] It was super quiet how this went through called the Safe Tea Act. [00:20:59] One of the sponsors of the bill is a guy by the name of Justin Slaughter. [00:21:02] Ooh, that's a very fitting name for the sponsor of the Safe Tea Act. [00:21:07] Justin Slaughter. [00:21:09] You can't make it up. [00:21:09] It's like something out of an Orwell film. [00:21:12] Yes, Mark Murder is the sponsor of the Safety Act. [00:21:19] And Hank Homicide was the final sponsor. [00:21:23] No, actually, his name really is Justin Slaughter. [00:21:29] Can't make this stuff up. [00:21:31] With a black power fist raised to the heavens, exclaiming that the passage of the Safe Tea Act. [00:21:42] So I want to make sure I understand this correctly. [00:21:44] The Safety, Accountability, Fairness, and Equity Today Act, otherwise known as the Safe Tea Act. [00:21:50] See, they try to be super cute with their naming here, passed with the backing of the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus. [00:21:56] This is back in January of 2021. === The End of Cash Bail (02:55) === [00:22:00] Beginning in January 2023, it abolishes cash bail. [00:22:07] Now, J.B. Pritzker signed this into law. [00:22:11] It is state law now. [00:22:13] And there he is. [00:22:13] There's Justin Slaughter, not to be confused with Hank Homicide or Mark Murder, who puts his black fist to the sky as the bill that will allow the slaughter of Illinois citizens continue. [00:22:28] The Safe Tea Act has not received the coverage it deserves. [00:22:33] Illinois is one of the largest states in the country. [00:22:36] Illinois has one of the largest cities in the world, let alone America, Chicago, and this has not received any sort of coverage. [00:22:45] All kind of goes into this theme. [00:22:47] Republicans, wake up. [00:22:49] Why are you not talking about this stuff? [00:22:50] So now, starting in January 2023, these offenses will be non-detainable offenses beginning in January 1st, 2023. [00:23:04] What does this mean? [00:23:05] If you are arrested for these offenses, you got to be let go. [00:23:10] What offenses? [00:23:13] Aggravated battery, aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing, arson, burglary. [00:23:23] How about this one? [00:23:25] Drug-induced homicide. [00:23:29] If you commit homicide in the state of Illinois starting in January 2023 and you might have had cocaine or Adderall, no bail. [00:23:40] You're out. [00:23:40] You're done. [00:23:41] Back on the streets. [00:23:42] You can go commit more crimes. [00:23:44] You can do whatever you want. [00:23:45] Non-detainable offenses. [00:23:48] They are not allowed to detain you because of what has passed here. [00:23:52] So if they have fentanyl in their system, which by the way, many of these criminals get all souped up on drugs. [00:23:57] Now, I said Adderall intentionally, by the way. [00:24:01] It could be off-label. [00:24:02] It just says drug-induced homicide. [00:24:03] There's no definition of that. [00:24:05] It could be fentanyl. [00:24:06] It could be Adderall. [00:24:07] It could be cocaine. [00:24:09] It could be anything. [00:24:10] It just says drug-induced homicide. [00:24:13] It could be, by the way, it could be marijuana. [00:24:16] It could be psychedelic-laced cannabis. [00:24:21] Intimidation. [00:24:22] Kidnapping. [00:24:24] In January of this coming January, 2023, if you kidnap somebody and then murder them while you have cocaine in your system, no bail. [00:24:38] Robbery. [00:24:39] If you rob something, hey, you could do the trifecta. [00:24:42] You could rob a store, kidnap the owner, and murder the owner with no drugs in your system. [00:24:49] No bail. [00:24:50] Second-degree murder, no bail. === Dangerous New Release Laws (06:32) === [00:24:55] Threatening a public official, no bail. [00:24:58] All you have to do is give them a ticket. [00:25:00] If you break into someone's home, the police can't use force to remove them. [00:25:05] This is what's happening in Illinois right now. [00:25:08] Under the Safety Act, these suspects would be released to Cook County's neighborhoods. [00:25:12] Honestly, I don't know what newspaper this is. [00:25:15] I think it's the Daily Herald or Chicago Tribune. [00:25:17] Even the moderates in Illinois are saying, whoa, This is way too much. [00:25:22] Yeah, that's what happens when you guys elect these BLM Democrats by the name of Justin Slaughter, can't make it up, to go author your bills and no one pays attention. [00:25:32] And I will say this: this is tragedy for Illinois. [00:25:36] It's awful. [00:25:37] But for all of the Deerfield and Skokie and Winnetka, white liberal, obnoxious, smug liberals that elect Brad Schneider to Congress, you deserve all of this, honestly. [00:25:55] You guys are so smug. [00:25:56] You are so arrogant. [00:25:58] You guys are, you cannot have a conversation with these North Shore liberals in Chicago. [00:26:04] They're some of the worst. [00:26:05] And anyone who lives in Chicago knows exactly what I'm talking about. [00:26:09] And they're like, yeah, you know, we need to be racially equitable. [00:26:13] Black Lives Matter while I send my kid to North Shore Country Day and all white school. [00:26:19] Yeah, we need equity at Nutrier. [00:26:22] This is going over the heads of some people in the national audience. [00:26:24] For those of you in Illinois, I know you're loving it. [00:26:27] So these criminals will now be released under this. [00:26:31] How about this guy? [00:26:32] Michael Hawkins, 59 years old, charges of child pornography, sexual relations with a child, half a million dollar bail. [00:26:40] He'll be released under the new law. [00:26:42] Ivan Chapton, half a million dollar bail, residential arson. [00:26:47] He would be released under this. [00:26:49] Joseph Kamen, armed robbery and armed with a firearm, $750,000 bail. [00:26:57] He'd be released. [00:26:58] By the way, there's a whole list of these. [00:27:00] Larry Weatherspoon, currently in a Cook County jail for $1,000 bail. [00:27:05] He's been charged with kidnapping with a firearm. [00:27:08] Is that all? [00:27:09] How about this guy, Frank Wells, another outstanding citizen, $200,000, felony possession, use of weapon and a firearm. [00:27:16] Gregory Williams, felony possession, use of firearm, $200,000 bail. [00:27:22] Vernon Holman, $250,000 bail for armed robbery. [00:27:26] Why am I reading all this? [00:27:27] All of them would be released immediately. [00:27:29] The police no longer have the power with this new law that has gone into effect in the state of Illinois because of an all-Democrat legislature. [00:27:37] And then J.B. Pritzker, who will have armed guards for the rest of his life, will never have to live under these measures. [00:27:47] Founding Fathers warned us against this. [00:27:48] They said, we are going to be going in a dangerous direction when people can pass laws that they do not have to live under. [00:27:54] No cash bail is basically what got Chessa Boudin recalled in San Francisco. [00:28:00] And for all of all the people I know in Chicago that were posting the black square for BLM, you guys are all responsible for this. [00:28:08] Keith Kegel, domestic robbery and bodily harm, domestic battery, bodily harm, half million dollar bail. [00:28:16] He'd be released. [00:28:16] Keeps on going, by the way. [00:28:18] There's long, long, long lists of these criminals. [00:28:22] What is the point then even of arresting anybody? [00:28:26] What is the point even of having police? [00:28:31] So now we're going to transition. [00:28:33] What is the goal here? [00:28:34] The goal is not to get rid of police. [00:28:37] It's not. [00:28:38] They love political power. [00:28:42] While they are allowing, for example, murders to skyrocket in New York City, they're allowing murders to skyrocket in Chicago. [00:28:49] They're allowing murders to skyrocket in Portland. [00:28:52] What do they do today? [00:28:53] The priority of the district attorney of New York, the priority is not these sorts of measures, is these kidnappings, these murders, these arson. [00:29:04] The priority is indicting Steve Bannon. [00:29:08] It's a term we've used quite often here on this program. [00:29:11] Anarcho-tyranny. [00:29:14] Anarchy on the streets? [00:29:15] Tyranny against the political dissidents. [00:29:19] They will use political force and power to lock up conservatives, but thugs, criminals, child predators, pedophiles, arsonists, murderers, no bail. [00:29:29] But if you dare speak out in favor of Donald Trump, we will raid your home. [00:29:36] Listen in five minutes, but I'm going to do my best. [00:29:39] Let me just close the thought here. [00:29:41] Someone says really quickly, he said, Charlie, quit telling people, quit caring if people are going to call you a racist. [00:29:46] Just so we understand, being called a racist is one of the most powerful tools the left has. [00:29:51] People will willingly turn their communities into complete dystopian hellholes as long as they're not called a racist. [00:29:57] Got to stop caring about it. [00:29:59] That's number one. [00:29:59] Number two, what should the Republican message be? [00:30:03] Well, the Republican message needs to be very clear. [00:30:07] It needs to be that, here's the criminal, and here's what I'm going to do about it. [00:30:10] Now, a certain candidate for office won using this message and was attacked from every direction. [00:30:20] Remember the Willie Horton ad? [00:30:23] George H.W. Bush was attacked by Michael Dukakis and all this. [00:30:28] He didn't care. [00:30:29] He wanted to win. [00:30:30] He wanted political power. [00:30:31] By the way, they gave him like a state funeral as if a Pope passed away when H.W. Bush died. [00:30:37] I'm not saying he didn't deserve it. [00:30:38] I'm just saying it's just true. [00:30:40] But remember the ad that George H.W. Bush ran, PlayCut 93. [00:30:45] Bush and Dukakis on crime. [00:30:47] Bush supports the death penalty for first-degree murderers. [00:30:50] Dukakis not only opposes the death penalty, he allowed first-degree murderers to have weekend passes from prison. [00:30:57] One was Willie Horton, who murdered a boy in a robbery, stabbing him 19 times. [00:31:01] Despite a life sentence, Horton received 10 weekend passes from prison. [00:31:06] Horton fled, kidnapped a young couple, stabbing the man, and repeatedly raping his girlfriend. [00:31:11] Weekend prison passes. [00:31:13] Dukakis on crime. [00:31:15] And George H.W. Bush is lionized to this day for running that ad. [00:31:19] Republicans need to run that ad relentlessly. [00:31:22] There is a similar one by our friend Stephen Miller, who runs Citizens for Sanity, play cut 90. === Protecting Local Police Forces (03:20) === [00:31:28] For nearly 30 years, crime was falling in the United States. [00:31:32] No more. [00:31:39] The national murder rate is at its highest in 25 years. [00:31:45] The result of far-left policies that leave innocent Americans at the mercy of violent criminals. [00:31:51] Violent crimes up 21% in Washington, D.C., 35% in Chicago, 41% in New York City, and murders are up 207% in Portland. [00:32:04] And that's just part of the Ed. [00:32:06] Lock them up and throw away the key. [00:32:08] We're not going to reform prison. [00:32:09] We're not going to do this. [00:32:10] We're going to make your streets safe. [00:32:11] It is a civilizational defining issue. [00:32:15] Why are they doing this? [00:32:18] Okay, now we get to the final part. [00:32:20] Why are they doing this? [00:32:21] Why are they passing this in Illinois, where kidnapping, burglary, robbery, intimidation, drug-induced homicide, second-degree murder, arson, aggravated DUI, aggravated filling and eluding, and drug offenses, they can't enforce it. [00:32:34] They can't remove someone in your shed. [00:32:35] They can't remove someone in your business. [00:32:36] They can't remove someone to your home. [00:32:38] What are they trying to get at here? [00:32:39] They do not want to abolish the police. [00:32:41] They want to abolish local police and implement a national police force. [00:32:45] They want to turn the FBI and the IRS and all these other government agencies into a national, deployable, Democrat on-demand police force. [00:32:54] So they can go after people like Steve Bannon, but the thugs and the criminals and the people in the cities, they'll just become these sources of murder, of chaos, of destruction. [00:33:06] They do not want to abolish the police. [00:33:10] They want a police that works for them. [00:33:12] And guess what? [00:33:13] The local police doesn't work for them. [00:33:15] That's why they've always hated the local police. [00:33:17] The local police doesn't get carve-outs or favors. [00:33:19] It doesn't get their cousin drug dealer off the hook, but they know how to maneuver the DOJ for those things. [00:33:26] And by the way, we have to be more than pro-police. [00:33:28] We have to be pro-justice, tough on crime. [00:33:32] Someone just asked Charlie, what can we do in Illinois? [00:33:35] Well, unfortunately, very little. [00:33:36] It's going to come into effect in January. [00:33:38] You can hopefully get Darren Bailey elected as governor, hopefully take back the legislature, but it's probably not going to happen. [00:33:44] Illinois is cracking. [00:33:47] You can't be held with bail for kidnapping and second-degree murder. [00:33:52] The police will just arrest the same people over and over again, and nothing will end up happening. [00:33:56] But it's part of the agenda, which is they don't want to get rid of the police. [00:34:01] They want a police that is theirs, a national police force. [00:34:05] The spike in crime, they'll start to say, well, we need the FBI to go into New York. [00:34:09] We need the FBI to go into Portland. [00:34:11] They want to nationalize. [00:34:12] They want to get rid of sheriffs. [00:34:14] They want to get rid of local county prosecutors. [00:34:17] They want to get the federal government in charge of the policing business. [00:34:21] That's the agenda. [00:34:22] Create the chaos and bring in the federal government. [00:34:26] For any Republicans out there, if you want to win, talk about this issue.
