The Charlie Kirk Show - A Roadmap to 'Rescue America' with Senator Rick Scott Aired: 2022-03-03 Duration: 34:27 === Rick Scott's 11 Promises (09:37) === [00:00:00] Hey, everybody. [00:00:00] Today in the Charlie Kirk Show, we have Senator Rick Scott to go through the 11 promises he has. [00:00:05] We don't go through all 11, but they're pretty impressive. [00:00:07] I got to tell you, for a senator and someone from Florida, I'm just encouraged. [00:00:12] I think you will be too. [00:00:14] This is the direction the Republican Party is going. [00:00:17] We're making progress, everybody. [00:00:19] I can tell you that much. [00:00:20] Support our show at charliekirk.com/slash support. [00:00:23] Get behind us at turningpointusa at tpusa.com and email me directly, alwaysfreedom at charliekirk.com. [00:00:28] Buckle up, everybody, here. [00:00:29] We go. [00:00:30] Charlie, what you've done is incredible here. [00:00:32] Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses. [00:00:34] I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk. [00:00:37] Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks. [00:00:40] I want to thank Charlie. [00:00:41] He's an incredible guy. [00:00:42] His spirit, his love of this country. [00:00:44] He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created. [00:00:49] Turning point USA. [00:00:51] We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. [00:01:00] That's why we are here. [00:01:03] Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com. [00:01:11] So I hate to spend too much time on the State of the Union because it was so terrible. [00:01:14] It was actually one of the worst received State of the Unions ever. [00:01:18] According to a recent Flash poll after the State of the Union, only 41% of viewers reacted very positively to Biden's State of the Union, the lowest in 15 years since George W. Bush addressed Congress in 2007. [00:01:33] And so I don't want to spend too much time on this, but I do feel, I do believe, I should say, that you have a moral obligation to confront lies. [00:01:42] You shouldn't put up with it. [00:01:44] So when there is a repeated and deliberate deceit campaign, I think it's time, I think it's well within a good use of our time to go through that. [00:01:56] And there's a phenomenal piece that's going to help us through it from thefederalist.com: 17 absurd lies Biden told during his State of the Union Address. [00:02:03] The first I want to get into is freedom will always triumph over tyranny. [00:02:08] He goes and he says that freedom will always triumph over tyranny. [00:02:10] Oh, really? [00:02:11] How about the armed service members that you just discharged from the military for not wanting to take the vaccine? [00:02:21] You tried to force the coronavirus vaccine on American workers. [00:02:24] You pushed your administration to work with big tech to censor your political opponents. [00:02:30] You smeared Republicans as domestic terrorists, but you have the audacity to say that freedom will always triumph over tyranny. [00:02:40] Next one, next lie is when he said that his powerful sanctions have stopped Russia. [00:02:46] He said, quote, a Russian dictator invading a foreign country has costs around the world. [00:02:50] And I'm taking robust action to make sure the pain of our sanctions is targeted at the Russian economy. [00:02:55] Of course, he will not open the American energy LNG sector at all. [00:03:02] He won't do it. [00:03:04] Kim Reynolds actually had a really good response to this. [00:03:06] She's the governor of Iowa. [00:03:08] She delivered the Republican response to Biden's State of the Union address, PlayCut 61. [00:03:14] The disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal did more than cost American lives. [00:03:19] It betrayed our allies and emboldened our enemies. [00:03:23] And now Russia has launched an unprovoked, full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. [00:03:30] An attack on democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. [00:03:35] Now all Americans must stand united in solidarity with the brave people of Ukraine as they courageously defend their country against Putin's tyranny as they fight for their freedom. [00:03:49] But we shouldn't ignore what happened in the run-up to Putin's invasion. [00:03:54] Waiving sanctions on Russian pipelines while eliminating oil production here at home. [00:04:00] Focusing on political correctness rather than military readiness. [00:04:06] Weakness on the world stage has a cost. [00:04:09] And one of those costs very well might be China taking Taiwan. [00:04:15] President Trump agrees with that. [00:04:17] Play cut 68. [00:04:19] I'm the one that got all of that. [00:04:20] Yeah, I see it happening in Ukraine rather, rather soon because President Xi happens to be a man with a high intelligence level, and he looks at what happened in Afghanistan, the way we pulled out. [00:04:34] Not that we were pulling out, because I was the one that got it down to 2,000 soldiers. [00:04:39] And he sees that, and this is his opportunity to do what he wants to do, which is he's wanted to do that, and China's wanted to do that for decades. [00:04:48] Joe Biden continued by saying that he created lots of jobs. [00:04:52] I want to really get in on this job creation nonsense. [00:04:54] So you lock down the economy, and then you mildly reopen the economy, and you count that as new job growth. [00:05:00] No, that's job refilling. [00:05:04] It's not new job growth, especially in the hospitality sector, especially in the travel area. [00:05:11] Joe Biden says he created lots of jobs. [00:05:13] He also said the solution to inflation is to lower your costs. [00:05:17] Well, also, we're going to try to spend another $6 trillion on complete and total nonsense. [00:05:22] He said then he did a very interesting pivot here. [00:05:25] He realizes how unpopular the Democrat crime agenda is. [00:05:31] And he said funding for police is a big priority for his administration. [00:05:35] But he also, back in 2020, said police were racist and that they need to lose their funding. [00:05:43] So if I were to kind of give my big takeaway from all this of the State of the Union address, first of all, and I don't say this lightly, the Biden cartel that is running the White House, it's not just that they're radical. [00:05:57] It's not just that they want a transformation of Western society. [00:06:03] It's also that they're not very good at it. [00:06:06] They're not even good at communicating the unraveling of America. [00:06:10] They're not even good at trying to spin what is happening. [00:06:14] I mean, if Connor and I and Andrew and I were put into a video game and or put into some sort of position where we had to put, we would do a better job than what Joe Biden did yesterday. [00:06:26] What was also very interesting is Joe Biden didn't mention January 6th at all. [00:06:32] Then mention it. [00:06:34] Meanwhile, CNN says that American jobs will not return to pre-pandemic levels until 2024. [00:06:40] The number of employed Americans won't return to its pre-pandemic levels until 2024. [00:06:46] But the broad economy is expected to fully recover by the middle of this year, according to a Congressional Budget Office report issued on Monday. [00:06:55] Reuters, a pre-pandemic U.S. job report is a long way off. [00:06:58] The U.S. job market is still nursing itself back to health, is what Reuters says. [00:07:03] Joe Biden continued by saying, let me play this whole job creation thing for you. [00:07:08] Play cut 66. [00:07:10] It worked. [00:07:11] You created jobs, lots of jobs. [00:07:13] In fact, our economy created over 6.5 million new jobs just last year. [00:07:20] More jobs in one year than ever before in the history of the United States of America. [00:07:28] The economy grew at a rate of 5.7 last year, the strongest growth rate in 40 years. [00:07:33] It's so dishonest, and he knows it. [00:07:35] It's called pent-up demand. [00:07:36] The economy started to reopen for obvious reasons as COVID started to subside and Omicron took center stage. [00:07:43] And he's trying to take credit for an economic win, but the people aren't buying it. [00:07:46] The American people are like, yeah, okay, you're totally lying about it. [00:07:50] And then Joe Biden has the spine and the, I mean, I keep saying audacity. [00:07:56] There's other words for it. [00:07:57] Let's say the gumption to then say we need to secure our border and fix the immigration system. [00:08:02] Joe Biden, I went to Yuma at the Yuma sector in Arizona. [00:08:06] I saw for myself people crossing the border with the help and the assistance of the cartel. [00:08:12] And I saw with my own eyes, border patrol that basically had to shrug their shoulders and say, we're not able to do our job because of orders from the very top. [00:08:21] Play Cut 77. [00:08:22] If we're to advance liberty and justice, we need to secure our border and fix the immigration system. [00:08:35] As you might guess, I think we can do both. [00:08:39] So have you done that? [00:08:40] Two million people illegally entered into our country last year, which is nothing short of invasion of our country. [00:08:46] I had a dinner with some people last night, and even some people that don't like Trump very much, I could tell you, there is large consensus that, boy, I wish that he was back in office. [00:08:57] How many years have I been telling you about Relief Factor? [00:08:59] Producer Andrews right here doing an Iron Man thanks to Relief Factor. [00:09:02] And truth is, I know there are millions of people. [00:09:04] In fact, some say over 100 million people struggling with some kind of pain, maybe from exercise or just getting older. [00:09:10] That can do it, getting older, which is why I'm so impressed with the people at relieffactor.com. [00:09:14] They are on a mission. [00:09:15] You rarely see this kind of focus and commitment. [00:09:17] They recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their total number of happy customers in the next year. [00:09:23] And I believe they'll do it. [00:09:24] So here's the deal. [00:09:25] If you're struggling with back pain, neck pain, shoulder, hip, or knee pain, even general muscle aches and pain, then I'm suggesting you order their three-week quick start, still discounted, only $19.95. [00:09:53] Joe Biden says that he is expanding the petroleum reserve to try and hedge against the increased price of oil. [00:10:03] What's oil at today? [00:10:04] Let's see. [00:10:05] Priceofoil, oilprice.com. [00:10:07] It's a great time to be in the oil business, I suppose. [00:10:10] Whoa, $111 a barrel. [00:10:13] You've got to be kidding me. [00:10:15] I think I told everybody my story of my triple leveraged oil ETF that folded because not enough people believed in the future of oil during COVID. [00:10:25] I bought a bunch of it and it went under. [00:10:28] Good lesson when you buy triple leveraged ETFs that they can go under. [00:10:33] But boy, would I be cooking with gas with that right now? [00:10:35] No pun intended, I should say. [00:10:39] Wall Street Journal writes here on the front page: in State of the Union, Biden says Putin miscalculated. [00:10:45] So this really is kind of the open question. [00:10:48] Is Putin a pathological maniac or does Putin have some sort of game here? [00:10:52] Is Putin surprised that the entire West is consolidating around the idea of restricting Russia? [00:11:03] Remains to be seen precisely what the point is there, or it remains to be seen exactly what the truth is there, I should say. [00:11:13] Pete Boot Edge Edge, who is never one who's to be shy of cameras, who I think was developed in a laboratory just for the sake of trying to be a perfect robot of the technological left, says, look, here's the thing. [00:11:29] I run the transportation department. [00:11:31] I know a lot about transportation. [00:11:33] I drove over a lot of potholes when I was mayor and I did nothing to fix them. [00:11:37] We're under an energy transformation. [00:11:39] And guess what? [00:11:40] He's actually telling the truth. [00:11:42] They believe they are so confident in themselves. [00:11:45] They are so full of pride that they believe, geopolitics aside, the ability to energize your society, that they are so important that they can transform the entire economy of the wealthiest nation ever to exist in the history of the world. [00:12:02] They can execute a metamorphosis. [00:12:05] PlayCut 72. [00:12:07] Drill more, open up more U.S. land to drilling. [00:12:11] What's the administration's response to that idea? [00:12:15] Well, look, the president has laid out and taken a number of steps, including addressing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. [00:12:23] Let's also be clear that we are in the middle of a long-term transformation that is already fast underway, especially when it comes to vehicles. [00:12:32] The idea that the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is going to do anything, it will basically fuel America for a couple days, if that. [00:12:42] We have doubled our oil imports from Russia. [00:12:46] This is what's so funny about this. [00:12:47] So PolitiFact comes after Maria Bartaroma for saying this. [00:12:52] They say they're rating it mostly false that we've doubled our oil imports from Russia. [00:12:56] And then when you scroll down two paragraphs in the article, you'll learn that, quote, the U.S. did double the amount of crude oil imported from Russia last year, but Russia accounts for only 3% of U.S. crude oil imports in 2021. [00:13:07] So it's mostly false, but it's also literally true. [00:13:10] Wait, so if we only get 3% of our oil from Russia, why don't we restrict all oil coming from Russia? [00:13:20] We have the ability to break the back of the Russian regime. [00:13:25] Larry Kudlow has some thoughts on this. [00:13:27] Play cut 11. [00:13:29] The Saki thing is one of the five dumbest things I've heard. [00:13:32] I mean, there's a whole history here. [00:13:34] Every time oil prices go up, Putin strikes. [00:13:37] When oil prices are low, Putin is neutralized. [00:13:41] This is so important. [00:13:42] We should be opening the spigots completely to get oil up to 13 and 14 million barrels a day. [00:13:50] That would take Putin's profits away, and that'll slow him down, whatever it is he thinks he's doing in the Ukraine or elsewhere. [00:14:00] But they're not doing that because they are captured by ideology. [00:14:05] They want zero net carbon emissions. [00:14:08] If you have zero net carbon emissions and then you have a nuclear holocaust, which is more important? [00:14:14] And if you think I'm kidding, I don't know if this article is satire or not, but there is an article for the Huffington Post that is just so beyond belief where it says that nuclear war could potentially be good for climate change. [00:14:30] I actually haven't read the entire article. === Ideology vs Oil Profits (13:21) === [00:14:32] I need to dive into it. [00:14:33] It's so beyond comprehension of what should be considered to be normal. [00:14:40] Look, did you get hit with a big tax spill you were not expecting with rates still being very low and home equity being high? [00:14:47] It's the perfect time to refinance and get some cash out of your home. [00:14:50] Look, you could go to one of these woke banks, Citibank, Chase, where they hate you, they hate the country, and they hate Christianity. [00:14:58] Or you could refinance right now all of your mortgage needs, my friends. [00:15:02] Guess what? [00:15:03] It's so easy to remember the website, andrewandtodd.com. [00:15:05] Just write it down, andrewandtodd.com. [00:15:07] They're with Sierra Pacific Mortgage. [00:15:09] They're people I know and trust and work with them, and you should too. [00:15:47] That's andrewandodd.com. [00:15:52] I was so moved by this document that was composed by Senator Rick Scott from Florida. [00:15:59] I asked our team, I said, do whatever you possibly can to get him on the show. [00:16:04] And it's really good. [00:16:05] We went through it previously. [00:16:06] It's an 11-step plan to rescue America. [00:16:10] And some of it is stuff that you would expect out of kind of a Republican plan, but there's some really creative and good ideas and some strong philosophical basis for a lot of it. [00:16:20] And the architect of that and the man that wants to get the Senate majority back is Senator Rick Scott from Florida. [00:16:26] Senator, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk Show. [00:16:28] Charlie, it's great to be with you. [00:16:31] I'm really worried for our country. [00:16:32] The woke left is just, I mean, they've taken over this whole country. [00:16:35] I mean, they control the media. [00:16:36] They control our culture. [00:16:38] They control our government, the Democrat Party, the entire federal apparatus. [00:16:43] So we've got to, you know, you do it every day, but we got to fight back. [00:16:47] And I think to do it, you got to have a plan. [00:16:49] You got to say, hey, what am I going to do? [00:16:50] How do we, what are my marching orders? [00:16:52] How do I get there? [00:16:53] What's going to change this country? [00:16:54] And so that's why I put out a plan. [00:16:56] There will be things people agree with, some ideas that they might have better, but I'm going to bust my butt to make sure we do something to turn this country around. [00:17:04] Well, I love it. [00:17:05] So let's go through it piece by piece. [00:17:09] You know, we can lead whichever one you want, but the one that really struck me is the emphasis on education, on how you want to empower parents and really kind of build this parents' party. [00:17:17] Please, let's go from there. [00:17:20] So let's start with what. [00:17:22] So I grew up. [00:17:24] I grew up, I was born to a single mom. [00:17:26] We lived in public housing. [00:17:27] But here's what she told me. [00:17:29] She called me Ricky, which I didn't really like that much, but she said, she said, Ricky, you can be anything because you grew up in this country. [00:17:37] Now, the country I grew up in, when we went to school, when school started, we said the Pledge of Allegiance. [00:17:43] We saluted the flag, right? [00:17:45] We were taught that this was the greatest country ever created. [00:17:50] I think we got to get back to that. [00:17:52] And then we got to get back to our education system, be an education system that, you know, we're taught about reading, writing, arithmetic. [00:17:59] That's what I learned. [00:18:00] And the way to make sure that we have the right schools is for the parents to have the right to choose the school, not government, not some woke government-run school. [00:18:10] So, and I think it ought to be done at the state level. [00:18:13] It shouldn't be a federal education program. [00:18:16] I think we ought to shut down the federal department of education. [00:18:18] If we're going to send money, let's send money directly to the parents to spend money on where they want to send their kids to school. [00:18:23] But let's, you know, there's not like, you know, this is like we got free money up here. [00:18:29] This is money that, you know, somebody's taxed. [00:18:30] So I think the biggest thing is let's give back to parents. [00:18:34] Parents get to choose where their kids go to school. [00:18:37] And then let's make sure our schools are focused on how do we explain to people. [00:18:42] I mean, there's nothing like America. [00:18:44] I mean, the easiest thing is to move, right? [00:18:46] These things to move something. [00:18:48] There's no country to go to. [00:18:49] So if we don't fight for this country, where's it going? [00:18:52] And it starts with our kids. [00:18:53] I always, you know, Charlie, when I was governor, I always thought three things you have to do well. [00:18:57] Make sure people have a great opportunity to survive on their own. [00:19:01] That's what people want to do. [00:19:02] Number two, make sure their education is really good. [00:19:04] And the way to make sure that is parents choose. [00:19:06] And number three, make sure you keep people safe. [00:19:08] So, but education, I mean, that's the future of our kids and our grandkids. [00:19:12] That's exactly right. [00:19:13] And you say here that our kids will say the Pledge of Allegiance, salute the flag, learn that America is a great country and choose the school that fits best for them. [00:19:20] You wouldn't think that would be something you would run for office on, right? [00:19:23] It used to just kind of, you'd say that, you know, sunlight is good and oxygen is needed, but now this is somehow controversial. [00:19:29] The second piece that really struck me is that government, it's colorblind equality, which I'm a big fan of. [00:19:34] Government will never again ask American citizens to disclose their race, ethnicity, or skin color on any government form. [00:19:42] Now, hilariously, they'll try to call you a racist for this, Senator, but walk us through this. [00:19:47] Well, first off, the others, the left is going to call you racist every day. [00:19:50] That's what they do for a living. [00:19:52] Whatever you propose, it has to be racist if they disagree with you. [00:19:55] But let's stop and think about it. [00:19:57] When I was growing up, what my mom taught me is that you should be colorblind. [00:20:02] You should judge people by what they do, how they act, what they say, not about the color of their skin. [00:20:09] So government is trying to divide us. [00:20:12] The woke left is trying to divide us. [00:20:14] They're saying, oh, if you have this skin color, you're an oppressor. [00:20:17] If you have this skin color, you're oppressed. [00:20:19] So I don't believe government, government should never ask you on any government form, you know, what your race is, the color of your skin, your ethnicity, none of that. [00:20:29] We're all in the made in the image of God, and we all be judged by what we do and our character, not about the skin or our, you know, it doesn't make me who wants to divide people by the race? [00:20:42] Like, I've never met a parent to say, oh, Johnny, I'm sorry you don't have the same opportunity as everybody else. [00:20:48] No, parents bring their kids up and say, bust your butt. [00:20:52] You got every chance. [00:20:53] You know, do it. [00:20:54] It's like my mom said, Ricky, you got every chance. [00:20:57] It is up to you. [00:20:59] Get your butt in gear. [00:21:00] It doesn't matter where you started in life. [00:21:02] You can do anything you want to only because you live in the United States of America. [00:21:06] That's exactly right. [00:21:07] And what I love about this is it's not just a statement of fact here. [00:21:11] You're saying that you're not going to ask for it on government forms. [00:21:13] You're going to try to end this kind of woke CRT nonsense in a policy perspective, especially it's getting into our military. [00:21:21] And as we look at the threats happening right now, potential nuclear conflict, our military is too busy teaching this woke garbage to our armed service members. [00:21:29] It's ridiculous. [00:21:30] Next is safety and crime. [00:21:32] You say on your website, rescueamerica.com, the soft on crime days of coddling criminal behavior will end. [00:21:38] We will refund and respect police because they, not the criminals, are the good guys. [00:21:42] We will enforce our laws, all of them, and increase penalties for theft and violent crime. [00:21:47] This one, I would think, is rather logical. [00:21:49] I also think this is like a 90% issue. [00:21:51] You know, in reality, it ought to be 100% issue. [00:21:54] Like, who thinks that you should be able to go violate the law and nothing happen to you? [00:22:01] Like, why do we have the laws? [00:22:02] And who's it's not, it's not taking care. [00:22:05] It's not taking care of the people that can't afford all the, you know, the people that go afford all the, all the guards around them, they have to worry about it. [00:22:11] But, but think about it. [00:22:13] You want to live in a safe neighborhood. [00:22:14] So we, we would teach our kids. [00:22:16] So my mom taught me, she said, you've got to respect your law, the law enforcement. [00:22:21] And so, and law enforcement, they bust their butt trying to keep us safe. [00:22:25] Charlie, my eight years as governor, we lost 51 members of law enforcement in the line of duty. [00:22:30] These men and women are defending our safety and they've never met us. [00:22:36] They go to, they go into danger when we run away from it. [00:22:40] All right. [00:22:40] That's what they do. [00:22:41] So what we've got to do is say, we respect our police and the criminals, they're the bad guys. [00:22:48] We're not going to go out there and, oh, you know, oh, yeah, you can steal from 100 stores before you ever, you know, and, you know, it's not your fault. [00:22:57] I mean, that's how the left will act. [00:22:58] And these, and these district attorneys and state attorneys that don't want to prosecute, you should be fired. [00:23:03] I mean, they should absolutely be fired. [00:23:06] So let's, whatever our laws are, they're enforced against everybody. [00:23:10] And you violate a criminal law, you suffer the consequences. [00:23:13] You made that choice. [00:23:14] It's a conscious decision. [00:23:16] And next is immigration. [00:23:17] I know that you made a visit to Yuma recently. [00:23:20] I heard about that. [00:23:20] I think we had both the same, you call it a tour guide or whatever, Yuma County Supervisor. [00:23:24] And you say, we will secure our border, finish building the wall, and name it after President Donald Trump, which the left totally lost their mind. [00:23:30] I mean, you saw what's happening on the border. [00:23:32] It is a human rights catastrophe. [00:23:34] Talk to us about the need for Republicans to run on immigration. [00:23:38] You know, Charlie, you know, I always try to think: okay, so why is Biden doing what he's doing? [00:23:45] Think about how it's impacting a family. [00:23:47] So, just first off, I think the easiest thing to think about: 100,000 people, 100,000 people, about one in every 3,000 Americans died of a drug overdose last year. [00:23:58] Where did a lot of those drugs come from? [00:24:00] Communist China. [00:24:02] Who delivered them? [00:24:03] The cartel, the Mexican cartel. [00:24:06] So, step one is, let's finish the wall. [00:24:08] And the wall, everybody asks, it's just the wall. [00:24:10] No, it's partially it's going to be a wall. [00:24:13] Sometimes, some places it's going to be cameras. [00:24:15] Some places it's going to be, you have to have the lights to be able to see. [00:24:18] Some is a road. [00:24:18] You got to, it's sort of all of the above, right? [00:24:22] But I go to the border, it's open. [00:24:24] When I went to you, you probably saw the same thing when you went to Yuma. [00:24:29] So, what happens is you can fly into Mexico City, you can come across our border because what you do, take a flight to Mexico City. [00:24:35] I think the closest city to Yuma was Mexicali. [00:24:37] That's right. [00:24:38] Take a flight to Mexicali, take an Uber or a bus, come across, and Border Patrol says, where do you want to go? [00:24:43] I've talked to Border Patrol down there, and they said, This is the first president that tried nothing. [00:24:48] They said, Look, I can disagree with what each president did a little bit, but this president does nothing to secure the border. [00:24:53] Then he goes on his State of the Union address and says, We're going to secure the border. [00:24:56] No, you're not. [00:24:58] That's a complete lie. [00:24:59] Maybe you wanted like a picture of you saying something like that, but it's completely open. [00:25:03] And by the way, we want legal immigration. [00:25:06] I mean, I'm from an immigration state. [00:25:09] I mean, our state is built on immigration, right? [00:25:11] But legal immigration, right? [00:25:14] And by the way, don't you shouldn't Biden and administration care about these poor kids that are being trafficked back and forth across the border so people can come across? [00:25:24] I mean, wouldn't that disgust you if you saw that? [00:25:26] Of course, no, Biden won't go there. [00:25:29] But I think we ought to, let's create an immigration system that we know who's coming into our country. [00:25:34] That's number one. [00:25:35] Number two is let's have people come in that want to build our dream and with our constitution, believing in our Bill of Rights. [00:25:43] That's what we ought to be doing. [00:25:45] And they share Western values and they want to participate. [00:25:47] Like you said, the Cubans in Miami are some of the great examples of that in America. [00:25:52] I'm not going to skip over it. [00:25:53] The growth in the economy is really important. [00:25:55] You say we'll grow America's economy and starve Washington's economy. [00:25:58] I love it. [00:25:59] But the one that I want to focus on, which I've been trying to bang the drum on and people just forget about it, is about the debt. [00:26:05] This is generational theft, what we are doing to our young people. [00:26:09] Thank you for mentioning this. [00:26:10] $30 trillion of debt. [00:26:13] $30 trillion. [00:26:14] We run deficits every year. [00:26:16] I mean, Charlie, you can't do that. [00:26:19] All right. [00:26:20] All right. [00:26:20] Families can't do that. [00:26:21] States, well, states are not supposed to do it. [00:26:23] They do do it. [00:26:24] They just can't borrow money until they can. [00:26:26] But we've got to start living within our means. [00:26:28] How fair is it? [00:26:30] Charlie, how many people do you know that will say, I'm going to leave my debts for the next generation? [00:26:34] They say, oh, yeah, I'm going to run up a whole bunch of debt. [00:26:36] I'd like to take a couple of vacations to Cancun and stuff like that. [00:26:40] And Sonny, I'm going to have you pay for it. [00:26:42] No, that's exactly what, that's exactly what they're doing up here. [00:26:46] And they don't believe there's any accountability. [00:26:48] They just keep borrowing, borrowing, borrowing money. [00:26:50] $30 trillion. [00:26:51] Guess what happens when interest rates go up? [00:26:53] They inevitably go up. [00:26:55] How are we ever going to pay the interest expense on a federal debt? [00:26:58] I mean, and so then what are they going to, what are they going to cut? [00:27:01] They're going to have to raise taxes. [00:27:02] May it'll cause more inflation. [00:27:04] I mean, this is just a death spiral if we don't get control of this. [00:27:07] It is. [00:27:08] And so there's only a couple options available. [00:27:10] And unfortunately, it seems the regime wants to inflate our way out of it instead of trying to cut spending. [00:27:14] I'm not a fan of raising taxes, but just trying to debase the currency to make it completely irrelevant for some pre-existing obligation that we have. [00:27:22] And I'm glad that you frame it in moral terms because that's what it is. [00:27:25] It is a moral crisis. [00:27:27] And there's a great, I mean, Florida is the most free state in the country, largely thanks to your leadership. [00:27:32] And then, of course, then Governor DeSantis, two phenomenal governors, one after the other. [00:27:36] But in Florida, not locking down is the same sort of belief to balance the budget, meaning that we're not going to shut down schools just to try to make ourselves feel better. [00:27:45] It's the same sort of moral problem that we see. [00:27:48] Republicans need to be clear about what we're running on, not just against. === Florida Election Law Battle (05:37) === [00:27:54] The three-week rule may be the best financial advice ever. [00:27:57] What's the three-week rule? [00:27:58] Wait three weeks to buy that new car, three weeks to refile your home mortgage, and three weeks to finance any major purchase. [00:28:04] Why three weeks? [00:28:05] Because that's how fast the average Scoremaster user takes to boost his or her credit score average of 61 points. [00:28:12] And listen, 61 points added to your credit score can save you tens of thousands of dollars on everything we finance. [00:28:18] Scoremaster technology was developed by credit data scientists to boost your credit score higher and faster than you thought possible. [00:28:25] Scoremaster is so easy, it takes about a minute to get everything started, and you don't have to wait months for the best credit score. [00:28:30] Look, a credit score is a game. [00:28:31] That's what it is. [00:28:33] And for example, I had a credit score that was okay, and I realized it was some confusion with some bill that I did pay and it wasn't communicated. [00:28:40] Boom, it gets cleared up like that. [00:28:42] So if you're trying to refinance a home or whatever, go to Scoremaster for free and see how many plus points you can add your credit score. [00:28:48] Go to scoremaster.com slash Charlie. [00:28:51] That's scoremaster.com slash Charlie. [00:28:53] Scoremaster.com slash Charlie. [00:28:58] Senator, I want to ask you about number seven, fair, fraud-free elections will protect the integrity of American democracy and stop left-wing efforts to rig elections. [00:29:06] I don't think this is that hard for you to talk about because Florida, despite its massive population, is actually able to get their votes in by 10.30 Eastern on election night. [00:29:13] Meanwhile, Georgia and Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, they're running around like chicken with their heads cut off. [00:29:18] Talk about the success of Florida and what we can learn about it, learn from it. [00:29:21] Well, there's two things you have to do. [00:29:22] You have to have election laws that stop the fraud. [00:29:25] So you have to have voter ID. [00:29:27] You can't, I mean, Democrats want to get rid of voter ID for one reason, because they want people that don't have a right to vote to vote. [00:29:34] You can't let people register on election day. [00:29:37] We don't in Florida. [00:29:37] And we, you know, we make it pretty easy to vote in Florida, but we try to stop all the fraud. [00:29:42] So you can vote early in Florida, you can vote absentee, and you can vote on election day. [00:29:46] But step one is you have to have an ID. [00:29:48] Step two is you can't register the same day because no one could check to see if that person had a right to vote. [00:29:54] Number three is you cannot allow ballot harvesting. [00:29:59] They had ballot harvesting when I got elected in 2010 and we got rid of it because people can go in and, oh, they can fill out somebody's ballot for them. [00:30:08] That's not right. [00:30:08] Your ballot has to come in by you or has to come in by the post office. [00:30:12] And it's got to be in on time. [00:30:14] I mean, you can't say, oh, gosh, we lost by 10,000 votes. [00:30:16] So let's hurry up and manufacture 11,000 votes. [00:30:20] And so we win that way. [00:30:22] So you have to do all those things. [00:30:23] Your signature has to match if you do an absentee ballot. [00:30:26] But then on top of that, we have to have good supervisor elections that will enforce the law. [00:30:31] And we have to hold them accountable. [00:30:33] So in Florida, you are supposed to make sure that you can, you know, both sides can watch any opening of ballots. [00:30:39] You got to just make sure that happens because you supervisor elections, and we elect them as an example in Florida at the county level. [00:30:46] We have got to go in there. [00:30:47] We got to have our volunteers. [00:30:49] We got to show up and make sure that they're doing the right thing. [00:30:52] So it's one, you've got to have the right laws. [00:30:54] And number two is you have to have the right supervisor elections. [00:30:57] Number three is you've got to have trust but verify as Roland Reagan would say. [00:31:00] You got to have people show up. [00:31:02] You have to have volunteers checking that. [00:31:04] As you, Charlie, I don't know if you remember, but in 2018, I won by, I think, 57,000 votes the night of election, and they illegally found a bunch of ballots afterwards. [00:31:12] And I went through two recounts. [00:31:13] If we had not been ready with volunteers and lawyers, we wouldn't have won. [00:31:18] So what we've got to do also is be ready. [00:31:21] Make sure you have lawyers hired. [00:31:23] Make sure you have volunteers trained to make sure that one, it's done right on election day. [00:31:28] But if you have a recount, you're ready for all the claims that the Democrats will have to try to change these elections. [00:31:34] So that's what we have to do state by state. [00:31:38] And it needs to be led and we need to run on it and we'll give our voters confidence that their vote matters and that there's not going to be these late night ballot dumps. [00:31:46] Florida is the best example of that. [00:31:47] So I'm going to just go to number nine, Senator, and compliment you on this because in a weird world, it takes courage to say this. [00:31:54] Men are men, women are women, and unborn babies are babies. [00:31:57] We believe in science. [00:31:59] I'm sure the backlash for this one has been bizarre and in some ways unexpected. [00:32:05] Talk about why Republicans need to run on material reality. [00:32:10] Yeah. [00:32:10] I mean, I love, I love, I've been blessed. [00:32:14] We have my wife and I have two daughters and we have seven, actually seven grandkids. [00:32:18] And, you know, you just love these little babies. [00:32:21] And so, you know, and they're, they're babies. [00:32:25] I mean, so an unborn child is still a human being. [00:32:29] And let's respect life. [00:32:32] And if you follow the science, it's a human being. [00:32:35] And so let's let's let's follow science and let's make sure that we do everything we can to make sure these children come into this world. [00:32:43] On top of that, you follow these swimmers that, you know, have the male swimmers have gotten in women's sports. [00:32:52] They're just killing women's sports. [00:32:53] That's not right. [00:32:54] You don't have a, you know, you shouldn't allow men to play in women's sports. [00:32:58] I mean, we, I mean, think about all the women that worked their butts off to try to make sure the women's sports were funded through our universities and things like that. [00:33:06] And now if men, you know, men decide, you know, they want to, you know, play in women's sports, they can. [00:33:13] That's wrong. [00:33:13] We've got, we've got to not allow that to happen. [00:33:16] So, but I think that, and I think the other thing that is so important to me is allow God into all aspects of our life. [00:33:23] I mean, there should be no, the left wants to silence this. [00:33:28] They don't want us to be able to talk about God anywhere. === Protecting Women's Sports (00:56) === [00:33:31] But why not? [00:33:32] It's our God. [00:33:33] I mean, we have the First Amendment. [00:33:34] We ought to be able to talk about our religion, all right? [00:33:38] And anywhere. [00:33:39] I mean, not just in church, but in schools and in businesses and in politics. [00:33:48] You're speaking my language, Senator. [00:33:49] I hate to cut you off. [00:33:51] The website is rescueamerica.com. [00:33:53] And let me say, if you're running things, Senate Republicans are heading in the right direction. [00:33:57] And so if people can get behind you, it's rescueamerica.com. [00:34:00] Senator, I'm encouraged by your list and thank you for your leadership. [00:34:04] Thank you so much. [00:34:05] Bye, Charlie. [00:34:06] See you. [00:34:06] Thank you. [00:34:06] Have a good day. [00:34:07] Thank you. [00:34:10] Thanks so much for listening.
