[00:02:14] We had a packed weekend. [00:02:16] I gave four speeches, one on Saturday evening in Arizona, three yesterday at Calvary Chapel Diamond Bar. [00:02:23] We are heading back on the road tomorrow, going to the great state of Texas while it is still great. [00:02:28] We will be broadcasting live from San Antonio tomorrow. [00:02:31] I am keynoting a pro-life speech tomorrow evening. [00:02:34] And then Wednesday, we'll be speaking at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. [00:02:39] And here's a fast fact for you. [00:02:41] Dr. Pepper started in Waco, Texas, everybody. [00:02:45] And so did the Branch Davidians. [00:02:47] And so those are two things that came out of Waco, Texas. [00:02:50] I'm half kidding. [00:02:51] Love Waco, Texas. [00:02:52] We're going to have a lot of fun. [00:02:53] I want to get to the number one news story in the country right now. [00:02:56] And there's so much to unpack in this story. [00:02:59] And it impacts everybody. [00:03:01] And it is a people-powered story. [00:03:04] It is a story about the power of workers against government oligarchs, regulators, and corporate planners that are suddenly being exposed for attacking their workers for no good reason whatsoever. [00:03:22] So this story was starting to gain traction on Saturday, and it kind of hit a climax on Sunday, and it's still happening right now, which is Southwest Airlines. [00:03:33] Now, there's some phenomenal people that fly for Southwest Airlines. [00:03:37] So anything I say about Southwest Airlines, I know I'm going to get all these angry emails. [00:03:40] I can't stand flying Southwest Airlines. [00:03:44] People from Texas, they get so animated when I say this. [00:03:47] You put your life in your own hands. [00:03:49] You got to be at the right place when you board at the right time. [00:03:51] If you go to the restroom and you miss it, people are very aggressive. [00:03:55] They're elbowing you. [00:03:56] And I think one of the worst parts about flying Southwest Airlines is how people abuse, in my personal opinion, the non-questioned status of getting extra boarding time. [00:04:10] And this is a new phenomenon. [00:04:11] So if you've never flown Southwest Airlines, you don't have an assigned seat. [00:04:14] You're like cattle. [00:04:16] So you're between A1 and A15. [00:04:19] And you ask the person, are you A1? [00:04:20] Are you A2? [00:04:21] Are you A3? [00:04:22] But before that, you can just say, I need extra time to board. [00:04:26] And they're not allowed to question it. [00:04:29] And so the last time I flew Southwest Airlines, there were like 35 people, very able-bodied people. [00:04:34] Now, maybe they had problems. [00:04:35] I don't know. [00:04:36] But it was very frustrating when you pay more to get A1 and there's 35 people in front of you. [00:04:41] So Southwest Airlines, not a fan. [00:04:43] I will say, usually, though, I will say in defense of Southwest Airlines, I've never had massive delays with Southwest Airlines. [00:04:50] They're typically on time. [00:04:51] Would you agree with that, Connor? [00:04:52] They're typically on time. [00:04:54] You know, despite the fact that you feel like you're about to get branded when you walk on the airline and you got to kind of fend for your own seat, it's incredible anxiety. [00:05:04] I'm six foot four. [00:05:06] I have some back issues. [00:05:08] And so getting a good seat is very important. [00:05:11] And so when I board on Southwest Airlines, it's always like, I got to get the exit seat, got to get the exit seat. [00:05:16] And if it's taken, it's like the whole day is ruined. [00:05:19] Can you, so Southwest Airlines, I got my own reservations, we'll stop with that. [00:05:24] But this weekend, Southwest Airlines has experienced unprecedented disruptions, delays, and cancellations. [00:05:33] 28% of all Southwest Airlines flights on Sunday were canceled and 11% delayed. [00:05:42] So Southwest Airlines comes out and they blame the weather. [00:05:46] They blame air traffic control, the play tape. [00:05:48] In a statement, Southwest blamed air traffic control issues and bad weather in Florida from Friday, but the FAA said its traffic control issues were long resolved. [00:05:57] Southwest then released another statement saying after cutting back flights during the pandemic, recovering during operational challenges is more difficult and prolonged. [00:06:07] And so they immediately blame air traffic control and weather issues. [00:06:11] Now, interestingly, if you look at the weather map from this last weekend, I never knew Southwest Airlines had such incredible frequency of flights through Central, North, and South Dakota. [00:06:21] They must have had an entire fleet of airplanes. [00:06:24] It is the cleanest weather map I have ever seen. [00:06:27] So Southwest Airlines had 28% of all flights canceled. [00:06:31] American Airlines, 2%. [00:06:34] Two. [00:06:34] Now, here's the kicker. [00:06:36] You said, okay, American, they got their act together. [00:06:39] Spirit Airlines had 4% of all flights canceled. [00:06:42] Okay. [00:06:43] If Spirit is worse than anything you've ever flown, I kid you not. [00:06:49] Spirit Airlines, they charge you for water. [00:06:51] Okay, I'm half kidding. [00:06:52] At Spirit Airlines, if you wear too baggy of clothing, I think they charge you. [00:06:56] It is within the ethos of Spirit Airlines that we are delayed. [00:07:01] And because you're paying $75 to fly, stop complaining. [00:07:06] Spirit Airlines, only 4% of their flights were canceled, yet 28% of Southwest Airlines flights were canceled. [00:07:13] China Eastern, 12% of their flights were canceled, 7%. [00:07:17] So why was it that Southwest Airlines had such an incredible, unprecedented disruption? [00:07:24] Well, the media was in a really tough spot this last weekend because them being the regime media, not doing an ounce, not caring about an inch of investigation, they kept on sending out Apple News notifications, unprecedented disruptions increase. [00:07:39] And you read these articles and they say one after the other, well, it's because of weather and air traffic control or internal internal operation problems at Southwest Airlines. [00:07:51] Now, we know this is a lie. [00:07:52] We know it. [00:07:53] We know what's really going on here. [00:07:55] Southwest Airlines has come out and they said they want all of their pilots and flight attendants vaccinated by force by early December. [00:08:05] And Southwest employees are fighting back. [00:08:09] And right now you are seeing workers and you are seeing everyday rank and file members of the Southwest team say, go run your own airline. [00:08:20] You think you can work without us? [00:08:22] Good luck. [00:08:24] And Southwest, from a corporate standpoint, their unwillingness to admit this has been very revealing. [00:08:31] They think you are so stupid that you are not able to look at a weather map and say, yeah, there really is no weather anywhere. [00:08:38] Or that every other airline is running on time and running rather well, that only 2% of all American airline flights were canceled on Sunday. [00:08:48] 28% of Southwest Airline flights were canceled. [00:08:53] And what's going on here is that regular normal workers for Southwest Airlines are saying to the vaccine-mandated, mandating corporate oligarchs, you are not going to be able to do this to us and ruin our careers without us fighting back. [00:09:14] And the media blackout component of this has been very instructive as to the place our country is in. [00:09:25] We're going to go through that because the media's just colluding with the pharmaceutical companies, trying to cover up this sick out, grinding planes to a halt, has been, I think, one of the most interesting and important takeaways from this entire couple day saga. [00:09:49] Most people that are looking at this story are saying, oh yeah, it's air traffic control. [00:09:54] It's weather. [00:09:56] Where would we be without social media? [00:09:58] Social media actually shows that the Southwest Airline pilots and they are lacking for labor. [00:10:06] Southwest Airlines unnecessarily created an ultimatum. [00:10:09] They created a hostage situation with their workers. [00:10:13] They said, if you do not get the vaccine, we will ruin your career. [00:10:17] We will terminate you. [00:10:19] And they said, okay, if that's the case, we're going to use whatever power we have left to make sure that we send a message to you. [00:10:26] That if you think you can bully us after the sacrifice, the early mornings, the late nights that we've put in for this airline, for this enterprise, for this company, good luck running an airline. [00:10:36] And the result, 28% of all flights yesterday were canceled from Southwest Airlines. [00:10:45] It's back to school time, and you may be feeling the burden of college bills or private tuition school expenses. [00:10:51] With home equity at a all-time high and interest rates low, refinancing your house could be a great way to get some cash and pay out those bills. [00:10:57] But look, I'm going to cut it to you straight. [00:10:58] Stop using banks to refinance your home that hate you. [00:11:01] Every big bank hates you. [00:11:03] They hate your values. [00:11:04] They hate your worldview. [00:11:05] They want to take our guns away. [00:11:07] They fund Planned Parenthood enough. [00:11:08] So let's go with the good guys. [00:11:09] I got two good friends. [00:11:10] These guys love the Lord. [00:11:12] They love their country. [00:11:13] They're really fun people. [00:11:15] They're down to earth. [00:11:16] It's Andrew Delray and Todd Avakian at andrewandTodd.com. [00:11:20] They are with Sierra Pacific Mortgage, people I know and trust with them, and you should too. [00:11:25] So it's super simple. [00:11:26] Anything you need for a home loan, anything at all, refinance, take out a loan. [00:11:30] Don't go to Chase. [00:11:31] Don't go to Wealth Fargo. [00:11:33] Definitely don't go to Goldman Sachs. [00:11:35] I don't think many people would because I don't think they have a retail operation. [00:11:37] Don't go to this brick and mortar nonsense of these people that are woke USA wearing two masks. [00:11:44] Take your money and deposit it, charge you fees, and then say, oh, let's take out a loan. [00:11:48] By the way, the money we make is going to go fund the downfall of America. [00:11:51] Ain't done with that. [00:11:53] Instead, just go to andrewandtodd.com. [00:11:55] Again, these are two patriots who love the Lord and they love their country. [00:11:59] Take 30 seconds to answer a couple questions, and that gives them the info they need and gives you value information often on the first call. [00:12:06] Andrew and Todd, they are not brokers. [00:12:08] They are bankers, which means they can handle your loan from start to finish. [00:12:12] So you always have someone in your corner. [00:12:13] Again, they're honest. [00:12:14] They are great people. [00:12:17] I've got to know them so well. [00:12:18] So take that first step towards getting the cash you need today. [00:12:21] Stop taking out loans from banks that hate you. [00:12:25] Go to andrewandtodd.com, andrewandtodd.com. [00:12:28] Call 888-888-1172. [00:12:30] That's AAA 888-1172. [00:12:32] Go to andrewandtodd.com. [00:12:35] I'm about to use them for something at andrewandtodd.com. [00:12:38] They've been so easy to work with. [00:12:40] And you know what gives me some peace at night? [00:12:43] I know that when I use them, they love the Lord and they love the flag and they love the country. [00:12:49] It really makes me feel good about it. [00:12:51] AndrewandTodd.com, start supporting the good guys and stop taking out loans of people that hate you and hate your values. [00:13:01] The flight cancellations continue for Southwest Airlines, yet they're saying there's nothing wrong here. [00:13:07] It's the weather. [00:13:09] It's the tsunami, even though the weather is not affecting other airlines. === Fight For Freedom Choice (06:02) === [00:13:13] 348 flights canceled Monday with a further 303 delayed beyond that. [00:13:20] And we have said on this program, good luck trying to mandate the vaccine because running an airline is a very fickle business. [00:13:28] It's a very specific skill set that takes a lot of training to get pilots and flight attendants. [00:13:33] And you start to get 5%, 10%, 15% labor disruptions. [00:13:37] What are you going to do, Southwest? [00:13:40] Well, they're denying they even have a problem. [00:13:44] You read some of these articles and how the regime media has refused to even just pick up the phone and do some investigative journalism has been so telling how the media is owned by the pharmaceutical companies. [00:13:57] Here's what's really going on here before I play this next tape here. [00:14:00] What's really happening, and we're going to play cut three of the full tape, is that they do not want this to set off a chain reaction of strikes and sick outs happening at every major company across the country. [00:14:14] So the media is intervening and trying to prevent a workers' rights revolution happening around the vaccine mandate, especially going into the busy Christmas season. [00:14:25] They don't want this to happen at Amazon, Walmart. [00:14:28] So the media is trying to clamp this down. [00:14:30] They are trying to suppress this story. [00:14:32] We know what's going on. [00:14:33] I've heard from Southwest employees personally, they say, of course we're taking time off intentionally, obviously. [00:14:39] Now they're trying not to say this publicly because it could be considered an illegal action, according to the National Labor Relations Board. [00:14:48] Southwest Airlines pilot talking about how he is a victim of a corporate hostage situation. [00:14:54] Play tape. [00:14:56] I've been an airline pilot for 18 years and now I'm facing an ultimatum. [00:15:00] Not a choice, but an ultimatum. [00:15:02] I'm being told in order to continue my career as an airline pilot, I must be vaccinated, which really means I have to choose between putting food on the table for my family and my freedom of choice. [00:15:12] Whether you believe in vaccination is the right thing to do or not, this situation goes far beyond health. [00:15:18] We, the American people, have fought for freedom for 257 years. [00:15:22] We go around the world spreading ideas of freedom and democracy. [00:15:26] We help other countries and people fight for their freedoms while ours are being stripped away. [00:15:32] You may think being forced to wear a mask or give vaccination is insignificant, but when you begin to compile mandate after mandate and loss of freedom after freedom, it becomes very significant. [00:15:46] As each thing is taken away, we face what is known as the shifting baseline syndrome. [00:15:52] This syndrome changes our idea of a new and acceptable normal. [00:15:56] Soon, we will not remember what it was like to have the freedoms we once did. [00:16:01] Our children and our grandchildren will experience less freedom, and they won't have the privilege or the pleasure to enjoy the same choices our parents had or that we have. [00:16:13] If we give into these mandates and we do not stand up for our freedom of choice, we dishonor every armed service person over the last 257 years. [00:16:23] A disservice to the people who have fought and bled for the very freedoms we enjoy. [00:16:29] Whether you believe in vaccination or not, I'm standing up for your freedom of choice. [00:16:34] You may support the vaccine mandates because they fall in line with your current beliefs. [00:16:39] But if we let this happen now, there will be a day when what you're told to do will not fall in line with your beliefs. [00:16:47] If we do not stand together and fight back in one voice, soon we could be told where to live, what job we will do, what religion to believe, and how many children we can have. [00:16:59] Do you really want someone telling your children or your grandchildren what, when, and how they will live every minute of their lives? [00:17:08] It's time we take a stance. [00:17:10] It's time we fight for our freedom of choice while we still can. [00:17:15] Join us. [00:17:16] And that is a pilot from Southwest Airlines. [00:17:19] And what he's talking about is the baseline syndrome. [00:17:21] It's usually used when talking about the baseline of the ocean, as the ocean used to be more populated with certain types of fish. [00:17:31] But as we continue to extract and harvest certain parts of the ocean, the baseline changes year to year. [00:17:38] So you have a different reference point, but it has a broadened meaning, especially when it comes to psychology and the application of, well, we're not unfree because all we have to do is wear masks, where two years ago, that would have been an unthinkable proposition. [00:17:52] So this kind of ties into the Overton window theory and frame theory, which is what is the frame that we actually operate by. [00:17:59] And they're trying to change the paradigm that we live under. [00:18:03] Like, yeah, it's not a big deal that you have to go get an emergency youth authorization vaccine that the CDC director has said itself actually won't prevent you from getting the virus. [00:18:11] What matters is do you listen to us or not? [00:18:14] And God bless the Southwest Airlines employees for standing up and using the muscle that they have. [00:18:22] And there's three or four more points I want to make about this. [00:18:25] As Southwest Airlines grapples with their own totalitarianism, they're getting a little taste of their own medicine as they thought they could be a tyrant and now they're in chaos. [00:18:36] If you've got a small business, you know there's nothing more valuable than your time. [00:18:40] Charlie Kirk here, stop wasting your time going to the post office. [00:19:41] They are coming for your children next. [00:19:44] We've said that on this program for quite some time. [00:19:48] Fauci, unelected, unknown before the pandemic, and unaccountable, the highest paid employee in the federal government. [00:19:57] Let me say that again. [00:19:58] Fauci is the highest paid employee in our entire government, and no one questions it. [00:20:03] Fauci is a narcissist. [00:20:05] We know that. [00:20:05] His new movie is not doing well. [00:20:08] He has a new movie out with Disney Plus and National Geographic, is that right? [00:20:13] What is National Geographic doing a film on Fauci for? [00:20:17] I thought National Geographic is more about trying to find the lost Mesopotamian civilization or trying to map the Yangstee River Valley. [00:20:29] It's usually what National Geographic is best at, not long biopics on unelected bureaucrats that should be in jail. [00:20:39] Maybe for some credibility that Fauci never earned and does not deserve. [00:20:45] So Fauci goes on television and he says, Hey, kids, you can go trick-or-treating only if you're vaccinated, though. [00:20:57] Now, this focus on getting children vaccinated should send a chill to every single person listening to this. [00:21:05] Children are not at a serious or significant risk of getting seriously ill from the Fauci virus, let alone dying from the virus. [00:21:14] Children are statistically in more danger riding as a passenger in a car than contracting and dying from the Chinese coronavirus. [00:21:25] But instead, this is about a couple things: the two P's that drive Fauci: power and profits. [00:21:33] This is not about trying to save children's lives. [00:21:38] In fact, we have more evidence to show, according to a news story out of California, of two children that had adverse events to the Chinese coronavirus vaccine. [00:21:48] Other countries are pulling the vaccine for children. [00:21:53] Many Scandinavian countries are saying we're no longer going to use the vaccine for children. [00:21:57] Too many adverse events that are happening. [00:22:01] Let's go to cut eight. [00:22:02] Fauci grants permission for kids to go trick-or-treating only if they are vaccinated. [00:22:08] Let me say this: this is a very obvious question. [00:22:11] If they're wearing a costume, isn't that kind of like a mask? [00:22:14] That's too much thinking for them. [00:22:15] Cut eight. [00:22:16] Halloween is just around the corner. [00:22:18] A lot of parents are wondering how to trick-or-treat. [00:22:22] Do they hand out candy? [00:22:24] Do they walk around with their children? [00:22:26] What's your guidance? [00:22:27] So, I mean, particularly if you're vaccinated, if you're not vaccinated, again, think about it: that you'll add an extra degree of protection to yourself and your children and your family and your community. [00:22:39] So, it's a good time to reflect on why it's important to get vaccinated. [00:22:43] He keeps on being taken seriously, and it is a reflection of not the American people. [00:22:50] Fauci is not a reflection of the wonderful American people. [00:22:54] He is a reflection. [00:22:55] In fact, he is the mascot of a broken ruling class. [00:23:00] Now, when Gavin Newsom was asked whether or not his 12-year-old child was vaccinated, he said, no, she isn't. [00:23:08] And some people are calling this hypocrisy. [00:23:12] This is not hypocrisy. [00:23:14] This is hierarchy. [00:23:17] This is them believing they are above you, that they are better than you. [00:23:23] That how dare you question our class of existence. [00:23:31] And this is why the Southwest airline strike is so profound. [00:23:35] Because the ruling class, part of the C-class, C-suite class of Southwest Airlines, they need labor. [00:23:44] Now, as I was prepping for this story, I couldn't help but chuckle because the entire economic narrative traditionally stemming from people who call themselves socialists are all about workers' rights. [00:23:59] My whole life, last 10 years, I should say, debating people on the left, debating people who would call themselves Marxists, they would always say that workers need more rights. [00:24:10] They need the ability to organize, they need the ability to picket, they need the ability to strike. [00:24:16] Now, someone who is a capitalist, which I am, I always found this to kind of be somewhat of an annoying point. [00:24:21] Like, yeah, okay, just go find another job type thing. [00:24:24] But as I realize that we are entering into this state-run capitalist, which is not capitalist, state-run cronyist environment where the largest companies are working in tandem, they are working in harmony, they are colluding with the levers of government. [00:24:44] I realize that where are workers supposed to go? [00:24:48] Now, mind you, many of these companies are issuing these vaccine mandates because they think that Joe Biden issued an OSHA mandate. [00:24:57] He didn't. [00:24:58] There is no mandate. [00:25:00] Nothing. [00:25:01] Biden has signed nothing. [00:25:02] He gave one speech. [00:25:04] There's no directive. [00:25:05] There's no guidance. [00:25:07] It's a press release. [00:25:09] There is no executive order because they know that that would be overturned in court immediately. [00:25:14] So they use the threat of government power by just saying the words without actually putting pen to paper. [00:25:21] But this is not just Southwest Airlines. [00:25:25] Air traffic controllers in Jacksonville reportedly walked out Friday night protesting the Chinese coronavirus vaccine mandates as well. [00:25:34] This is now happening in multiple different industries, and the media is totally blacking this out because the regime media that takes significant amount of advertising dollars from Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson ⁇ Johnson, AstraZeneca, you see, they're all in on this together. [00:25:51] All these corporations, they're not competing with one another. [00:25:54] And I have to say that being puritanical about market principles is dangerous, and I hope conservatives do not do that anymore. [00:26:03] Again, I say this as someone who's a capitalist and I love free markets, but do not be dogmatic about this because saying that competition will solve everything is a lie when companies collude with one another. [00:26:16] That's what cartels do. [00:26:18] So we say, oh, well, you know, these airlines, they just need more competitors and they'll compete against each other. [00:26:23] What happens when all five of the airlines decide to work together? [00:26:28] I'll take our profits, you take your profits, we'll kind of do things a little bit differently, but when it comes down to it, we'll protect the industry. [00:26:36] They are not protecting the industry of flying airplanes. [00:26:40] That's garbage. [00:26:42] They're protecting the industry of flying inefficient, government-sponsored state-run airlines. [00:26:49] You see, as free market capitalists, in the pure sense, dogmatists, they say all we need is to deregulate everything, which, of course, unfortunately is not going to happen anytime soon. [00:27:00] And all this new competition will spring out. [00:27:04] But in this moment, as you look prudently at the situation in front of you, what exactly are you supposed to say to Southwest Airlines colluding with United Airlines, working in tandem with American Airlines, with the Biden regime to crush their workers? [00:27:20] And this is where the workers' rights folks, many of whom on the left are silent right now, and this kind of completes my point, that if you go to the Jacobin magazine, which is as far left of an intellectual rag that you can get, there's nothing about the Southwest strike. [00:27:39] There's nothing about workers striking in response to the vaccine mandates. [00:27:46] The Jacobin, the front page of issue 42 of the Jacobin magazine. [00:27:52] And just, if you don't know what a Jacobin is, the Jacobins were the people who led the French Revolution. [00:27:56] Didn't end well. [00:27:57] Tens of thousands of people had their heads cut off. [00:28:00] Their leader, Maximilian Robespierre himself, got killed. [00:28:04] You know what issue 42 of the Jacobin magazine was? [00:28:07] Quote, the working class. [00:28:09] It says, he who was previously the money owner now strides in front as capitalist. [00:28:13] The possessor of labor power follows as his laborer. [00:28:16] The one with an air of importance, smirking, intent on business, the other hesitant like the one who's bringing his own hide to market and has nothing to expect by hiding. [00:28:24] Karl Marx from his writings on capital. [00:28:29] What's incredible is to see all of the workers' rights people on the left be completely silent when you see everything that they pretend to stand for. [00:28:39] Workers standing up against corporations that are doing something bad, doing something evil. [00:28:45] Why is the left so silent on this? [00:28:47] And I wrote a long piece on this. [00:28:49] It's because there is a hierarchy to what matters the most to the left. [00:28:55] And the cult of science and this belief in German historicism is far superior in importance than workers' rights. [00:29:08] It's much more important to make sure that history is continually and possibly unfolding, that we need more experts experimenting on more different things to usher us into the inevitable Marxist utopia. [00:29:21] If you think that sounds nonsensical, go read their literature. [00:29:25] And the vaccine mandate is a core component. [00:29:28] In fact, the vaccine mandate is the crucible. [00:29:31] The vaccine mandate is the staple of how the left views the modern world. [00:29:41] If all of a sudden the vaccine mandate gets questioned and the people who ushered in the vaccine all of a sudden get met with skepticism, then the entire unelected technocratic scientific class itself all of a sudden starts to lose legitimacy. [00:29:59] And that's a big deal. [00:30:01] Because the left's true ambitions, the big bet they are making to try to improve humanity, to try to bring us into the perfection of the human being itself, lies within a class of unelected people that are just like Anthony Fauci. [00:30:19] They believe that human nature is malleable. [00:30:21] They can change it. [00:30:22] They can shift it as they want. [00:30:24] And this is why when there's a moment for the media to stand with workers, do you notice how the media stands with workers any other time they're protesting a conservative business? [00:30:33] Do you notice that? [00:30:35] They're walking off. [00:30:36] They're heroes. [00:30:37] The teacher strike in Chicago. [00:30:39] The teacher strike in Washington, D.C. [00:30:41] We stand with workers, organized labor, UAW against Ford, UAW against Cadillac. [00:30:47] And yet when there's organized labor trying to stand against an unelected scientific technocratic elite that is pushing forward an emergency use authorization vaccine for many people have already had the Chinese coronavirus, they don't just not cover it. [00:31:01] It's worse than that. [00:31:03] They cover it up. [00:31:06] It is worse than saying, oh yeah, we're not going to cover it. [00:31:09] They cover the opposite of the truth. [00:31:12] They go full and total propagandist. [00:31:17] Now they try to gaslight you and saying, oh, no, no, no, it's actually the weather. [00:31:22] And this actually goes back to this Soviet thing. [00:31:24] It's so interesting how it all comes full circle. [00:31:27] The Soviet Union used to push out on Pravda, their newspaper, what a wonderful harvest it was this year. [00:31:33] Beautiful weather and bountiful products for all. [00:31:37] And people would say, it's a famine. [00:31:39] They say, no, no, no, no, it was a wonderful harvest. [00:31:41] And if you disagree, you're going to the gulag. [00:31:44] It's raining in Houston and Dallas, and there's tornadoes. [00:31:47] No, actually, it's sunny. [00:31:48] No, it's not. === Defending Our Freedoms (02:58) === [00:31:49] And you're going to like it. [00:31:51] It's sunny in Dallas and Southwest Airlines is collapsing because workers are fighting back. [00:31:58] Look, if you've been keeping up with the news, or even if you haven't been, you might hear the word tapering being used a lot. [00:32:05] It's the new Federal Reserve new buzzword, and you'll hear all kinds of meaning and definition for it. [00:32:13] But what does it really mean? [00:32:15] If Washington has to repay around $30 trillion it borrowed, guess where that's coming from? [00:32:20] You guessed it, your pocket. [00:32:23] Janet Yellen said we'd never see another financial crisis in our lifetime when she ran the Fed. [00:32:28] Now just four years later, she's warning of a catastrophe. [00:33:39] And I know many of you are sending your son or daughter off to college, and we're hearing feedback from campuses which are turning into indoctrination factories and terrible places for people of faith. [00:33:51] Public universities all over America are muzzling freedom of speech and adopting rules of conduct targeting Christian students, especially. [00:33:58] That's why I'm asking for your help as we generate the support of the Freedom Fund, the Alliance Defending Freedom, the nonprofit legal defense organization. [00:34:05] And ADF is one case after case of public universities trying to marginalize students of faith. [00:34:10] Our talk radio colleague Larry Elder, great guy, really knows what it means to stand up for what you believe. [00:34:16] But Larry understands that the Alliance Defending Freedom never gives up in the fight for religious liberty and freedom of speech. [00:34:23] Play cut of Larry. [00:34:24] It's no secret that our freedoms are under attack more right now than at any time in our history. [00:34:30] Churches are being forced to close. [00:34:32] Freedom of speech is being muzzled by school boards and on and on. [00:34:36] That's why I'm asking you to step up and make a donation to my friends at Alliance Defending Freedom. [00:34:41] Legal defense for men and women just like you. [00:35:04] Check it out. [00:35:04] Indigenous Peoples Day or Columbus Day? [00:35:07] That is the question. [00:35:09] Well, I can tell you that Indigenous Peoples Day, whatever that is, is just the latest chapter in the book of renaming our history and recategorizing our history. [00:35:26] Christopher Columbus was a very complicated man. [00:35:31] Part of being a human being means that we all enter a world we did not create. [00:35:37] Few of us find new worlds. [00:35:41] Christopher Columbus found a new world. [00:35:45] Now, people in the American Academy don't like that because they say that it's colonialist to even argue, to conjecture that it would be a new world. [00:35:58] But history, as we know it, started with Herodotus, started with the Greeks 2,700, 2,800 years ago. [00:36:07] Civilization, civil society that respects freedom of speech, dialogue, private property rights, an independent judiciary, consent of the governed, separation of powers, sprung out of a combination between Athens and Jerusalem, reason and revelation. [00:36:24] Western civilization, respect for the individual, allows for medical innovation, for the capacity to trade, to improve one's life. [00:36:38] As the West expanded even further west, it hit the shores of what is now known as America. [00:36:45] This is not an insignificant discovery. [00:36:49] This led and started the foundation for the eventual pilgrims, for the people that, the pilgrims and the colonialists that settled in 1620 and eventually wrote the Mayflower and wrote the Mayflower Compact, which started the revolution of self-government. [00:37:15] This was all thanks to a brave man who decided to do something that many activists who tear down statues of Christopher Columbus would never have the backbone, the spine, or the capacity to do. [00:37:26] Ride a ship all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. [00:37:29] It's easy for them to sit in a seat on United Airlines from Newark Airport to Madrid and act as if traveling across the sea or the ocean is a very simple thing. [00:37:41] Christopher Columbus went west not sure what he was going to discover or what he was going to reveal. [00:37:48] That took courage. [00:37:49] It took clairvoyance. [00:37:52] I'm not going to get into the Christopher Columbus apologist stuff. [00:37:56] There's been plenty of books written on that. [00:37:59] Was he intentionally trying to harm people or not? [00:38:02] I say no based on the reading and the research I have done. [00:38:05] But there's this great article in the Washington Examiner by Dan Daniel Hannon, who I really respect. [00:38:10] He said, quote, whatever the explanation as to why America and the West is getting rid of Christopher Columbus, we have reached a strange cultural moment when the countries that did the most to spread personal freedom and representative government across the globe are the ones most embarrassed about their achievements. [00:38:33] History requires an honest reading, including the people who made our civilization possible. [00:38:39] And Christopher Columbus was one of those people. [00:38:42] It's too bad he's been erased. [00:38:44] But he won't be forgotten here. [00:38:46] Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
