[00:00:27] Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk Show. [00:00:29] This is Andrew Colvett filling in for Charlie. [00:00:32] He's still gone. [00:00:32] We won't let him come back until he's thoroughly enjoyed himself. [00:00:36] I hope that happens. [00:00:37] We have our doubts. [00:00:38] We'll have to wait till he's back to tell us how it's gone. [00:00:41] Nevertheless, we had a great jam-packed episode here. [00:00:44] I can't wait to share it with you guys. [00:00:46] We talk about stagflation. [00:00:47] We talk about the economic fallout from the Biden administration's policies and how he is the new Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Carter 2.0, all the creepy ways that that actually makes sense and how it's way truer than we would have predicted. [00:01:02] And how Joe Biden wanted to be FDR. [00:01:03] But unfortunately, he is more like the least popular president in American history, or at least modern American history. [00:01:09] Folks, if you like what we do here, support us. [00:01:12] We would appreciate it. [00:01:13] We're grateful for it. [00:01:15] CharlieKirk.com slash support. [00:01:18] When you do that, you support all of the people that work behind the scenes, including myself, but there are so many others that work tirelessly on behalf of this show. [00:01:26] So support them at charliekirk.com slash support. [00:01:30] In the meantime, buckle up. [00:01:31] Here we go. [00:01:32] Charlie, what you've done is incredible here. [00:01:34] Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus. [00:01:36] I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk. [00:01:39] Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks. [00:01:43] I want to thank Charlie. [00:01:44] He's an incredible guy. [00:01:45] His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created. [00:01:52] Turning point USA. [00:01:53] We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. [00:02:02] That's why we are here. [00:02:04] I want to get into Liz Cheney. [00:02:06] This is something that we didn't talk a lot about in weeks prior. [00:02:10] Frankly, we were a little bit uninterested. [00:02:14] You know, I think our show likes to get a level deeper. [00:02:18] To us, this battle with Liz Cheney, the GOP, was fairly irrelevant simply because the writing was on the wall. [00:02:28] Liz Cheney was out. [00:02:31] Donald Trump is ascended. [00:02:33] He's still the leader of the party. [00:02:34] Doesn't matter what hemming and hawing we want to see from the moderate rhinos in our party going rhino hunting, as they say, and another one's the dust. [00:02:44] Here's the truth. [00:02:45] Liz Cheney's whole job as the number three leader in the house was to get everybody on the same page. [00:02:52] Well, if you have leadership in the GOP that is not on the same page, she can't do her job very well, can she? [00:02:59] So she's out. [00:03:01] Now, she gave a floor vote or she gave a floor speech, which according to CNN, all of the Republicans left the House chamber except for one from, I think it was Ken Buck from Colorado. [00:03:14] He listened. [00:03:16] All the other GOP left. [00:03:18] It was a show of solidarity to send a very important, I think, and clear message is that this is the party that we have, that it has chosen its side. [00:03:29] This is the party of Donald Trump. [00:03:31] You saw Lindsey Graham, Senator Lindsey Graham. [00:03:33] We call him Weather Vane Graham over here at the Charlie Kirk show because any way the wind's blowing, there you'll find Lindsey Graham. [00:03:40] He's right about some stuff. [00:03:41] He's wrong about some stuff. [00:03:43] At the end of the day, he saw the way the wind was blowing and said, we cannot grow without Donald Trump. [00:03:51] The GOP cannot grow without Donald Trump. [00:03:53] Liz Cheney disagreed. [00:03:55] Let's go ahead and play Clip 51. [00:03:59] 51. [00:04:00] Attacks against our democratic process and the rule of law empower our adversaries and feed communist propaganda that American democracy is a failure. [00:04:12] We must speak the truth. [00:04:15] Our election was not stolen and America has not failed. [00:04:20] Okay, so there she is, proudly still waving the flag that, hey, Donald Trump's an insurrectionist. [00:04:30] This isn't true, folks. [00:04:32] And you cannot have leadership within your party that is spreading propaganda that the left has planted in the mainstream news media to destroy the Republican Party. [00:04:44] She has become a mouthpiece of the opposition. [00:04:47] We call this controlled opposition. [00:04:50] Most of you probably know what that is, but just for the sake of it. [00:04:55] Controlled opposition is merely the impression that there is an opposition party. [00:05:01] So we're happy with conservatives so long as they do what we say. [00:05:06] We can control them. [00:05:08] And this is exactly what you have with Liz Cheney. [00:05:13] You've got Nancy Pelosi supporting Liz Cheney. [00:05:18] You've got the Washington Post coming out in support of Liz Cheney. [00:05:21] You've got blue check Twitter coming out in support of Liz Cheney. [00:05:25] She's the good Republican. [00:05:29] Interestingly enough, we see the same thing happening with former President George W. Bush. [00:05:33] He's one of the good Republicans. [00:05:36] Never mind that we attacked him viciously for eight years and called him all sorts of terrible names and attacked his character, attacked his intelligence. [00:05:48] Now he's one of the good ones because he's standing up against mean old Donald Trump. [00:05:52] This narrative that we are beholden to this personality, this cult of personality in Donald Trump is simply not true. [00:05:59] What we are beholden to is the first politician in 50 years that came across our paths that actually did what he said he was going to do, that actually fought for the American people, that put our country first, that put our values first, and said to hell with you, media, to hell with you, fake news. [00:06:16] And I apologize for using strong words here, but sometimes it has to be said. [00:06:20] And said, I'm going to do it. [00:06:23] I'm going to do what I said I was going to do, no matter what you tell me I am, no matter the bad names you fling at me, no matter the roadblocks that you throw in our path, no matter the investigations, no matter the obstruction from Congress, I'm going to move ahead with the agenda. [00:06:38] And what was the result? [00:06:40] The result was unprecedented economic strength. [00:06:43] It was peace in the Middle East. [00:06:45] It was security at our southern border. [00:06:48] It was controlled immigration, especially illegal immigration, which is a complete and utter disaster now. [00:06:56] So I don't want to hear it anymore from these mainstream news media hacks and from Liz Cheney in Wyoming, completely out of touch with her own voters, that says we are beholden to a cult of personality, that we have to kiss the Trump throne. [00:07:11] No, we like results. [00:07:14] We like people that have courage and action that aren't just trying to lob missiles at every foreign adversary that steps in our path. [00:07:21] The warmonger Liz Cheney. [00:07:24] You know, Liz Cheney and Hillary Clinton are going to get along fantastically when she writes her memoir and they can compare notes about what really happened and that sort of thing. [00:07:33] I want to play one more clip. [00:07:35] Somebody approached Liz Cheney after the vote and they asked her if she felt betrayed. [00:07:40] Let's go ahead and play clip 49. [00:07:43] Do you feel betrayed by today's vote? [00:07:45] I do not. [00:07:46] I think that it is an indication of where the Republican Party is. [00:07:50] And I think that the party is in a place that we've got to bring it back from. [00:07:54] And we've got to get back to a position where we are a party that can fight for conservative principles, that can fight for substance. [00:08:01] We cannot be dragged backward by the very dangerous lies of a former president. [00:08:07] The very dangerous lie of the former president. [00:08:11] Well, Representative Cheney, I'm going to have to break with Sebastian Gorko if he's disappointed on the progress that's being made on the election integrity front. [00:08:22] But I want to say there's actually a lot of progress happening. [00:08:24] There's a lot of bills in state houses all across the country. [00:08:27] Some have been passed. [00:08:28] DeSantis in Florida. [00:08:31] Georgia passed one, obviously. [00:08:33] Jim Crow 2.0, all the gaslighting, all of this ridiculous nonsense they spew about, even though it's completely wrong, this ahistorical opining from the left. [00:08:46] Liz Cheney, this big lie that you're talking about, again, you're spouting the left's talking points. [00:08:53] No wonder they love you so much. [00:08:56] Well, guess what? [00:08:58] This was an unprecedented election. [00:09:00] Guess what? [00:09:01] There was gaming of the system, drop boxes, private money coming into public elections, mail-in ballots to everybody on planet Earth. [00:09:11] I know, and everybody has these stories. [00:09:13] You guys send us the emails. [00:09:14] We see it all the time. [00:09:16] You got multiple ballots. [00:09:17] You know, friends that got multiple ballots. [00:09:19] There were drop boxes that weren't monitored. [00:09:22] And yes, there's questions about some of the tallying. [00:09:25] And that's what that's happening. [00:09:27] We're going to see the results out of Maricopa. [00:09:28] But there is progress being made on this front. [00:09:30] It was not a big lie. [00:09:32] It's a big old question. [00:09:33] Will the GOP rise to the occasion or not? [00:09:35] And Ms. Cheney, you have been standing in the way. [00:09:38] So good riddance to you, Ms. Cheney. [00:09:42] I'm not sad about this. [00:09:43] And she's not going to last in Wyoming. [00:09:46] She's not going to last. [00:09:47] So rise up, primary challengers, because it's happening and she's going to be gone. [00:09:54] Look, for many of you that watch our live stream or our radio show, listen to our radio show, you know I talk about Relief Factor a lot. [00:10:01] And look, truth is, I know millions of people are in some kind of pain, maybe from exercise or just getting older. [00:10:07] That can do it. [00:10:08] That's why I'm so impressed with Pete and Seth Talbot. [00:10:10] They are on a mission. [00:10:11] You've rarely seen this kind of focus and commitment. [00:10:14] Seriously, they recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their number of total happy customers in the next year. [00:10:21] And I believe they'll do it. [00:10:22] So here's the deal: if you're struggling with back, neck, shoulder, hip, or knee pain, or even general muscle aches and pain, then I'm suggesting you order their three-week quick start, still discounted only $19.95, about a dollar a day to see if we can get you out of pain. [00:10:33] So go to relieffactor.com. [00:10:35] That's relieffactor.com. [00:10:36] The Talbots are amazing people. [00:10:37] Check it out. [00:10:38] ReliefFactor.com. [00:10:42] You know, I think about this image that went viral across the internet of Joe Biden, Joe Biden, sitting in a room with the former president, Jimmy Carter, and his wife. [00:10:57] And they look like giants next to these 90-plus-year-old. [00:11:03] I think Jimmy Carter's 96, his wife 93. [00:11:07] So, you know, and weirdly, it's turned out to be prophetic. [00:11:12] You know, a lot of Democratic presidents have actually sort of snubbed Jimmy Carter. [00:11:17] They didn't pay him the due that, you know, some might expect of a former president. [00:11:24] Nevertheless, this is what we have. [00:11:27] You know, Joe Biden was touring, I think, nearby and made it a point to go out of his way and visit the former president. [00:11:37] And, you know, it's an interesting thing. [00:11:41] You know, Jimmy Carter oversaw the malaise of the late 70s. [00:11:47] He got trounced by Ronald Reagan, obviously in 1980. [00:11:52] But most Americans today, I mean, there was a whole new crop, the generation, that don't remember this. [00:11:56] They haven't read the textbooks. [00:11:57] They haven't read the history. [00:11:58] Nobody's told them that, you know, we've come to the reincarnation of Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden. [00:12:08] We have Biden inflation. [00:12:09] That's right. [00:12:10] I just put Biden and inflation together, pass it on, use it, tell your friends. [00:12:13] Biden inflation. [00:12:15] It's his that he owns, and it took only 100 days for us to get here. [00:12:20] Why? [00:12:20] Because we'd already juiced the economy last year, and I think there was some rationale for doing it here at the show. [00:12:26] We were always against doing it. [00:12:28] You can go back in the archives of the Charlie Kirk show and look back at the first stimulus that was suggested. [00:12:34] And we said, no stimulus, just stop locking us down. [00:12:37] Let the economy come back. [00:12:38] This is ridiculous. [00:12:39] I'm really proud of that, actually, is that this show from the beginning called it like it was, even with President Trump in the White House. [00:12:46] We said, this is a terrible idea. [00:12:48] Nevertheless, it happened. [00:12:50] You had no production going on. [00:12:53] The entire economy was shut down. [00:12:55] And in the meantime, we've printed a third of all dollars that are in existence. [00:13:01] Well, Jimmy Carter was famous for stagflation, where you had massive inflation with little productivity. [00:13:09] And what we're seeing now, and some might argue this is a bull whip effect, that there were supply chains that were disrupted. [00:13:17] This is why you're seeing the costs of lumber go up and other hard, durable goods. [00:13:24] But, you know, we forget that this stagflation had real impact on Americans. [00:13:32] Not only that, you had rising crime all across the country. [00:13:35] It was not a good time to be in America. [00:13:37] I think we look back on this American of old with nostalgia, but it was not a good time to be in America. [00:13:43] It actually, this was the, Jimmy Carter oversaw the highest misery index ever recorded in American history. [00:13:51] People were miserable under Carter, and he rightly got trounced. [00:13:55] Now, what I find so prophetic about this image, it's just, it almost makes me laugh now if it wasn't for the fact that it's a little bit tragic. [00:14:04] I mean, but sometimes you got to laugh at these things, folks. [00:14:06] We got to keep our heads up. [00:14:07] We got to stay positive. [00:14:10] But just how much bigger Joe Biden was in that image. [00:14:14] I mean, it was an optical illusion, so we're told. [00:14:18] It was a camera angle. [00:14:19] It was a lighting thing. [00:14:20] It's the fact that Jimmy Carter is a slighter human. [00:14:24] But, you know, it's not like Joe Biden's very, you know, it's not like he's a spring chicken. [00:14:28] He's probably lost a few inches over the years. [00:14:32] But ironically, in that image, he was a giant compared to Carter. [00:14:38] So there's two things that stand out. [00:14:39] Jimmy Carter actually lived long enough to see a president who is worse than him in all the same ways. [00:14:46] And that he is a giant compared to Carter. [00:14:50] What we're seeing the makings of is more international instability. [00:14:56] You see that all over what's happening in Gaza and Tel Aviv and all over Israel. [00:15:01] You're seeing an emboldened terrorist network, the Palestinians, and you're seeing Palestinian Rashida Talib cheer them on and Ilhan Omar and Bernie Sanders. [00:15:11] You're seeing an emboldened terrorist network in the Middle East that's going to stir up more disruption, more instability. [00:15:20] And you've got rising inflation that keeps surprising our experts, quote unquote. [00:15:25] The elites are surprised. [00:15:28] They have been surprised about everything that we have been warning about on this show and other voices in the conservative movement, of course. [00:15:34] They keep being surprised. [00:15:35] Well, they shouldn't be. [00:15:37] It's common sense. [00:15:39] Unfortunately, common sense has left the building. [00:15:44] Is it time to stop renting and buy your first home? [00:15:48] Owning your home is an investment in your future. [00:15:51] And with today's low rates, now is the time to do it. [00:15:53] Often with mortgage payment, it's the same as rent. [00:15:55] So why pay for someone else's mortgage payment? [00:15:58] Going through the mortgage process for the first time means you're going to have lots of questions. [00:16:02] You need someone you can trust. [00:16:04] I recommend Andrew and Todd at AndrewandTodd.com. [00:16:08] They are with Sierra Pacific Mortgage. [00:16:10] These guys are honest, trustworthy professionals who can answer all of your questions and walk you through the entire process. [00:16:17] They help first-time homebuyers and put the actual plan together. [00:16:20] And because Andrew and Todd are bankers, not brokers, Andrew and Todd and their team personally work with you from the start to finish. [00:16:26] You always have someone in your corner. [00:16:28] I've heard amazing things about Andrew and Todd. [00:16:31] So take the first step towards home ownership. [00:16:33] You know you want to. [00:16:34] Just go online and answer a few questions at andrewandtodd.com. [00:16:38] That's andrewandtodd.com. [00:16:40] If you guys are a mortgage, maybe you're looking to buy a home, do it why rates are low. [00:16:44] Go to andrewandodd.com, andrewandtodd.com. [00:16:48] Joe Biden is the new Jimmy Carter. [00:16:51] You know, and I find that really interesting because he wanted to be FDR. [00:16:56] Maybe even Woodrow Wilson, who was an utter disaster. [00:16:59] Frankly, I think both of them were problematic. [00:17:02] FDR, I give a hat tip for his leadership throughout World War II, of course. [00:17:07] But the guy grew the federal government in tremendous sizes. [00:17:10] In fact, it may have inspired some hope within the country during the Great Depression, some of his New Deal plans, but it really didn't raise, it didn't really get us out of the Great Depression. [00:17:21] What got us out of the Great Depression was the war. [00:17:24] Okay. [00:17:25] So a lot of failed policies that we've doubled and tripled down on, grown the bureaucracy for the many decades since. [00:17:34] Nevertheless, this is still one of the more celebrated figures on the left. [00:17:38] And so Joe Biden wanted to be FDR. [00:17:40] He wanted to prove to his naysayers, the people that always dismissed him, that he was more progressive. [00:17:45] He was going to leave a bigger progressive legacy than Obama, who is always living in the shadow of Obama. [00:17:54] But this was going to be different. [00:17:56] Joe Biden had a plan to actually go further than Obama ever did, to institute even more radical change. [00:18:05] He saw the Obama presidency as a lot of swings and misses, a lot of woulda-coulda-shoulda's. [00:18:10] And he was going to make that right. [00:18:12] He was going to prove that he was not just some gaff-tastic, middle-of-the-road, milquetoast old white guy. [00:18:22] No, he was going to show AOC that he meant business. [00:18:25] And Bernie Sanders, he was going to show him too. [00:18:29] And so what are we living through? [00:18:32] So predictably, we are seeing the destabilizing force of a weak man on the international stage. [00:18:43] One of those ways that we haven't talked about is happening on the Eastern seaboard. [00:18:48] We brushed on it, but we haven't really talked about it in depth on this show. [00:18:54] And that's the cybersecurity attack on the pipeline, the colonial pipeline that is the largest pipeline in the United States. [00:19:02] It's 5,500 miles long, and it transports approximately 45% of all fuel consumed on the East Coast. [00:19:11] And it runs from Texas to New Jersey. [00:19:14] So what are we seeing as a result of this hacked pipeline? [00:19:19] Which, by the way, I just have a thousand questions about. [00:19:23] Why, I mean, why, you know, listen, let's just say this before we keep moving on. [00:19:29] If they could hack a pipeline, don't you think bad actors could hack a bunch of things, a bunch of other things that are very central to our democracy? [00:19:39] Let's just leave it there for right now because I don't want to get off track here. [00:19:43] All right, so we're seeing this, these reports. [00:19:45] This is from Twitter, Patrick Dehan. [00:19:48] Florida updates 73% of Pensacola stations, no gasoline. [00:19:53] 44% of Tallahassee stations, no gasoline. [00:19:57] 15% of Gainesville stations, no gasoline. [00:20:00] North Carolina updates 78% of Greenville, Spartansburg, Asheville, Anderson stations, no gasoline. [00:20:07] 72% of Raleigh-Durham stations, no gasoline. [00:20:10] 71% of Charlotte stations, no gasoline. [00:20:13] Greenville. [00:20:14] Norfolk, Portsmouth, Newport. [00:20:17] All the same story. [00:20:18] Georgia has declared an emergency here. [00:20:20] They're going to be relieving, I guess, the gas tax at state level to make it more affordable because as everybody's rushing to get gas, as these worries spread, well, people are buying more gas and the stations know they can charge more. [00:20:36] And so listen to this. [00:20:40] This is Joe Biden. [00:20:40] This is the perfect show of weakness from the Biden administration. [00:20:44] Let's play Clip 53, saying that this is a cost benefit. [00:20:49] And consumers have to weigh that. [00:20:51] Let's go ahead and play Clip 53. [00:20:53] So first, we recognize that victims of cyber attacks often face a very difficult situation, and they have to just balance often the cost-benefit when they have no choice with regard to paying a ransom. [00:21:04] Colonial is a private company, and we'll defer information regarding their decision on paying a ransom to them. [00:21:11] Would the administration offer any advice on whether or not to pay a ransom? [00:21:16] So typically that is a private sector decision, and the administration has not offered further advice at this time. [00:21:22] All right, so I got that a little bit wrong. [00:21:24] She was talking about the actual ransom that is being asked of the pipeline, the colonial pipeline. [00:21:30] But this is, I mean, that's just an insane thing to say. [00:21:33] It doesn't matter that I got it wrong in the first place. [00:21:36] The context is different, but the insanity is actually even more extreme. [00:21:42] Pay ransom. [00:21:43] So the Biden administration has no guidance on this, that they should pay a bunch of hackers ransom. [00:21:49] Listen, you do not negotiate with terrorists. [00:21:51] You do not accept the premise that they set. [00:21:54] They accept ours. [00:21:56] That's called peace through strengths. [00:21:57] That's called stability through strength. [00:22:00] This is an absolute, utter national embarrassment. [00:22:05] But it all fits, doesn't it? [00:22:08] One of the first things, and we talked about in the last segment how it was this weirdly prophetic picture of Joe Biden posing with Jimmy Carter and how he's basically become Jimmy Carter 2.0, which is worse, on steroids. [00:22:22] It's weird to think now, and a little creepy, to be honest, that the first thing that Joe Biden did when he came into office was he shut down the Keystone XL pipeline. [00:22:33] Tucker had some great thoughts on this. [00:22:34] Let's play Cut 56 about gas prices and the pipelines. [00:22:40] Remember that on his first day in office, Joe Biden shut down a pipeline. [00:22:44] That's the first thing he did. [00:22:45] It was the massive Keystone XL pipeline. [00:22:48] Joe Biden didn't wait for mysterious hackers to shut it down. [00:22:51] He shut it down himself and more than 11,000 people lost their jobs. [00:22:55] And by the way, gas prices went up. [00:22:57] In case you haven't noticed, gas prices have never gone down. [00:23:00] In the state of California, the average price of a gallon of gasoline is over $4. [00:23:04] A year ago, it was $2.70. [00:23:06] In Illinois, gas is $3.20 a gallon. [00:23:09] Last year, it was $2.10. [00:23:11] It's not just two big liberal states, it's the entire country. [00:23:15] So think about that. [00:23:16] Gas prices are, when you adjust for inflation, is the highest they've been since 2008 when we were having other problems that, frankly, Georgia W. Bush contributed to, and then Obama was oversync. [00:23:33] But listen, we talk about, we're talking about Biden inflation. [00:23:37] You've got to think about these wallet issues for everyday Americans. [00:23:42] So, not only can you not get gas in a lot of places on the eastern seaboard right now, and you've got panic ensuing, you've got prices going through the roof. [00:23:51] Then you've got durable goods also shooting up. [00:23:54] There's reports that it's going to cost for the building of an average house is going to cost 30 to 40% more as a result of increased lumber costs. [00:24:07] These are real indicators of inflation that are going to hit you in the pocketbook. [00:24:16] Now, the only upshot from this possibly is that people are going to start realizing that the Democrats are utter and complete disaster, and they have no business being anywhere close to power because they refuse to acknowledge basic math. [00:24:28] As a matter of fact, they think math is racist. [00:24:31] Well, folks, this is what happens when you think math is racist. [00:24:35] If you just assume that one plus one equals five, then don't be surprised when inflation comes knocking at your door. [00:24:41] Don't be surprised when the things that you own are going, or the things that you want to own are going to cost more. [00:24:49] And don't be surprised when the wage that you're bringing home no longer cuts it and you can't make your ends meet. [00:24:58] Well, the point of all of this is it was all by design, wasn't it? [00:25:03] That's the real point here. [00:25:05] And think about how creepy this is. [00:25:07] It's all by design. [00:25:09] They want to destabilize the old way of doing things so that they can revolutionize it and create a new way to do things. [00:25:19] Even in Texas, remember the ice storms in Texas? [00:25:24] They said that you had AOC going on Twitter saying, this is because the greedy oil companies haven't been doing their part to protect the grid. [00:25:35] No, this was because perverse incentives from a top-down federal government said that non-oil companies didn't have to maintain the grid. [00:25:44] The grid, they were trying to incentivize green energy in Texas. [00:25:48] Windmills and turbines, all of that stuff ended up coming in, patching into the Texas grid, but they didn't have any skin in the game to uphold it and maintain it. [00:26:03] And that left a very precarious situation. [00:26:05] But guess what they did? [00:26:06] Instead of rightly identifying the problem, they blamed it on the greedy gas men. [00:26:11] Petroleum, fossil fuels, those are to blame. [00:26:17] Well, look what happens when we don't have a stable infrastructure when it comes to our energy. [00:26:23] Now, I can't say this enough, folks. [00:26:25] It took 100 days to go from energy independence to gas shortages on the eastern seaboard. [00:26:36] And then you throw on top of all of that the destabilizing force of a weak man in the Oval Office in the Middle East. [00:26:44] And if you don't think that is going to have repercussions on energy around the world eventually, then you're wrong, because that will be impacted as well. [00:26:53] So if we do not have energy independence here domestically, which we no longer do, and Joe Biden is going to make sure that we are not able to open up more resources, guess what happens when Iran really gets emboldened? [00:27:09] When this stops being an Israel-Palestine conflict, and it expands to then include places like Iran and Iran's other enemies. [00:27:21] What happens when the oil fields in Iraq are attacked again? [00:27:26] What happens when all of these other pieces of destabilizing forces come into the chessboard? [00:27:33] Folks, I hate to say it, but they don't want you to be able to get your gas. [00:27:39] There's already Biden officials lamenting the fact that not everybody has electric vehicles. [00:27:45] Because if they had an electric vehicle, well, then they could have just, you know, they could keep driving. [00:27:49] So this is all the more reason why you guys need to convert to electric vehicles. [00:27:52] Now, hey, listen, I'm all for it. [00:27:54] If you want to drive an electric vehicle, I think Teslas are really fun. [00:27:57] I think they drive really fast, and I think that's great. [00:28:01] But you can only go 200 to 300 miles on a single charge. [00:28:05] And guess where that energy often comes from? [00:28:07] That's coal and other fuel, fossil fuels, powering those battery charges. [00:28:12] So, folks, this is all by design. [00:28:15] They want you to feel destabilized. [00:28:18] And it's sad they're getting their way. [00:28:22] Did you know that over 80% of the population is deficient in magnesium, and magnesium is a number one mineral to fight stress, fatigue, and sleep issues? [00:28:29] My work schedule has been rather hectic lately, and I'm noticing it's starting to wear me down, even when I'm getting all my workouts in. [00:28:35] And in fact, I still feel like I'm stressed. [00:28:37] That's why I'm excited to share with you more about a magnesium product I discovered. [00:28:41] Magnesium powers over 600 critical reactors in our bodies, but don't just grab any magnesium pill. [00:28:47] The one I recommend is magnesium breakthrough because it combines all seven essential forms of magnesium into one convenient supplement. [00:28:54] Most magnesium supplements fail because they're not synthetic. [00:28:56] They fail because they are synthetic and they're not full spectrum. [00:28:59] When you get all seven critical forms of magnesium, pretty much every function in your body gets upgraded. [00:29:03] With one more simple action, you reverse your magnesium deficiency, fight fatigue, feel more at ease, feel less anxious. [00:29:09] This is by far the most complete magnesium product ever created, and I highly recommend it. [00:29:13] Today, you can get 10% off at mag breakthrough forward slash Kirk. [00:29:36] We've been talking a lot about this Jimmy Carter connection. [00:29:38] And man, is it apt. [00:29:40] The deeper that you go into this story, the more you realize that, unfortunately for all of us, Joe Biden is Jimmy Carter 2.0. [00:29:49] And they weirdly predicted it in their own way by posing together when other presidents had sort of kicked Jimmy Carter to the curb because he was awful. [00:29:57] He had the highest average misery index of any modern president and he had the highest inflation. [00:30:03] So it was a double whammy. [00:30:05] Everybody was miserable and inflation was sky high. [00:30:08] There were certain bonds that were paying 21%, if you can believe that. [00:30:11] And in an era where we used a two and three and four percent interest, they were paying 20, 21 percent. [00:30:17] I think it was possible it even went higher than that. [00:30:20] I just want to leave you guys in hour two. [00:30:23] We have a Charlie has an interview in hour three that we pre-recorded. [00:30:27] So please, if you get hour three, check that out. [00:30:30] If not, you can always go to the podcast too, the Charlie Kirk show. [00:30:32] We have it there as well. [00:30:34] But I want to leave you with our hour two here with a simple premise. [00:30:37] It's an economic premise. [00:30:38] I was actually an economics major in college. [00:30:42] I love macroeconomics. [00:30:45] I think it's really, really fascinating. [00:30:47] And it's, again, it's math. [00:30:49] Math is not racist. [00:30:50] Math does not know skin color. [00:30:52] Math knows math. [00:30:52] Math knows numbers. [00:30:55] And what we had with the Carter years is something called stagflation. [00:30:58] We touched on it before, but listen here. [00:31:00] It's when prices are going up, but the economy is not expanding. [00:31:05] So we're stagnant. [00:31:06] We're not growing, but prices are going up. [00:31:09] So Reagan came in and he fixed that. [00:31:12] He put downward pressures on prices by increasing competition and increasing growth. [00:31:18] So how did he do that? [00:31:19] He reduced tax rates for all income earners, including the rich. [00:31:26] And he lowered taxes on corporations. [00:31:28] So what he did is he made it easier for corporations to create more product, to grow, to expand. [00:31:36] He made it cheaper to expand. [00:31:39] And by the way, as a result of the tax cuts, consumers had more money to spend. [00:31:42] So what's Joe Biden doing? [00:31:46] Joe Biden is pushing free giveaways to people, which is creating demand in the market. [00:31:56] But then he also wants to pay for those giveaways by raising taxes and also raising corporate taxes. [00:32:06] So he also, and then we're seeing this now today. [00:32:09] We're seeing that higher energy prices are coming. [00:32:11] Not only is he cutting exploration and cutting leasing on public lands, and freezing it, as a matter of fact. [00:32:20] Cut the Excel pipeline. [00:32:22] It says war on fossil fuels that are the most stable energy source in the country, in the world, in history. [00:32:33] So he's increasing corporate taxes. [00:32:36] He's putting all his money out there. [00:32:38] So he's also increasing demand. [00:32:40] So he's making it so that corporations have a fork in the road. [00:32:44] In order to lower prices, corporations, companies, manufacturers need to be able to cheapen the cost of doing business. [00:32:54] They need to make it cheaper in order to create more goods on the market. [00:32:58] When you create more goods, supply and demand says that prices are going to go down. [00:33:04] But what he's doing is he's creating a scenario where that's almost impossible. [00:33:09] Supply chains are all backed up. [00:33:11] The lockdowns continue in some way, shape, or form in many ways. [00:33:15] And he's telling them that I'm going to raise the prices. [00:33:17] So I'm going to reduce capital on the market. [00:33:20] I'm going to increase the national debt, which actually removes capital out of the market as well. [00:33:24] So you're taking this capital that companies use in order to make investments in their production lines and their production capabilities to hire workers as well, by the way. [00:33:35] He's taking that capital off the chessboard. [00:33:38] And when you do that, the only real way to keep up with this demand is to raise prices because it becomes too expensive to actually increase production. [00:33:48] So you have to raise prices. [00:33:51] That's what we're seeing. [00:33:52] There's not enough supply on the market and everybody's got all this money sloshing around. [00:33:56] So their demand is way high, but they can't increase production. [00:34:00] It is stagflation 2.0 coming and it's scary. [00:34:04] And we need to start calling it out. [00:34:05] And hopefully the media will actually report on this as it starts hitting the pocketbooks of everyday Americans because inflation is here, folks. [00:34:12] It's already here. [00:34:13] It's not coming. [00:34:14] It's already here. [00:34:17] Thanks, everybody. [00:34:18] I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did. [00:34:21] We are going to have a couple of surprises the rest of the week. [00:34:23] We've got Alex Marlow from Breitbart, the editor-in-chief of Breitbart, is going to be taking the mic tomorrow. [00:34:30] Really excited to have him. [00:34:31] So make sure you check that out. [00:34:32] We'll put it on the podcast. [00:34:34] Again, thank you for everybody that supports the show at charliekirk.com slash support. [00:34:38] And if you want to get involved with Turning Point USA, go to turningpointusa.com or tpusa.com to get involved, maybe donate. [00:34:46] Lots of amazing stuff happening there.
