The Charlie Kirk Show - The Great Cuomo Coverup the Activist Media Is Missing Aired: 2021-03-02 Duration: 38:50 [00:00:00] Hey, everybody. [00:00:00] It's been nine years since Andrew Breitbart has passed away. [00:00:04] We talk about Bill Cassidy from Louisiana. [00:00:06] We also talk about the open state of Florida and so much more. [00:00:09] Email us your questions, freedom at charliekirk.com. [00:00:13] If you want to support us, go to charliekirk.com/slash support. [00:00:17] If you want to get involved with Turning Point USA, go to tpusa.com. [00:00:20] Buckle up, everybody. [00:00:21] Here we go. [00:00:22] Charlie, what you've done is incredible here. [00:00:24] Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campuses. [00:00:26] I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk. [00:00:29] Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks. [00:00:33] I want to thank Charlie. [00:00:34] He's an incredible guy. [00:00:35] His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA. [00:00:43] We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. [00:00:52] That's why we are here. [00:00:55] I bet you never thought that the Chinese coronavirus could cost you your home, right? [00:00:59] It just might be because cybercrime is up 75%. [00:01:02] And by far, the most serious cybercrime to worry about is home title theft. [00:01:06] That's right. [00:01:06] Cyber criminals, foreign and domestic, are now after our homes, and it's easier than you might think. [00:01:11] The title documents to our homes are online now. [00:01:13] The thief finds your home's title and forges your signature on a quit claim deed stating that you sold your home to him. [00:01:20] Then he takes out loans on your home and leaves you in debt. [00:01:22] You won't know until late payment or eviction notices arrive. [00:01:25] Insurance does not cover you, and neither do common identity theft programs. [00:01:28] That's why I protect my home at Home Title Lock. [00:01:31] The incident home title lock detects someone tampering with my home's title. [00:01:34] They help shut it down. [00:01:35] Go to hometitalock.com and register your address to see if you're already a victim. [00:01:39] And then use the code RADIO to receive 30 free days of protection. [00:01:42] That's code radio at home titlelock.com. [00:01:44] Home titlelock.com. [00:01:50] I'm going to start with this, just something that really bothered me. [00:01:53] And our team does a great job. [00:01:54] They put together these clip sheets, and they're the hardest working team in podcasts. [00:01:59] In fact, we posted three podcasts in the last 12 hours, and that's saying something. [00:02:04] So I was reading one of these clips that our team put together from this guy. [00:02:09] I had a lot of respect for him before, and he's just been miserable lately, Senator Bill Cassidy from Louisiana. [00:02:17] And I kept reading and rereading this, and maybe I haven't even listened to the clip yet, so we'll listen to it together. [00:02:22] But he said, over the past four years, we lost the House, the Senate, and the presidency. [00:02:26] That has not happened in a single four years under a president since Herbert Hoover. [00:02:31] If we idolize one person, we will lose. [00:02:33] So let's play cut eight. [00:02:35] This guy's a senator. [00:02:37] He's just lying about history. [00:02:39] Of course, he's going on CNN. [00:02:42] And is that really the best way to represent the people of Louisiana to go pander to Dana Bash? [00:02:49] Play tape. [00:02:50] Over the last four years, we lost the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the presidency. [00:02:56] That has not happened in a single four years under a president since Herbert Hoover. [00:03:00] Now, if we plan to win in 2022 and 2024, we have to listen to the voters. [00:03:06] Not just those who really like President Trump, but also those who perhaps are less sure. [00:03:11] If we do, if we speak to the voters who are less sure, who went from President Trump to President Biden, we win. [00:03:18] If we don't, we lose. [00:03:19] That is a reality that we have to confront. [00:03:24] Again, I have a rule. [00:03:26] If you're a Republican and you're going on CNN to say something that they won't interrupt you, then you shouldn't be going on CNN. [00:03:36] If CNN is not interrupting you, you shouldn't be going on CNN. [00:03:40] So Bill Cassidy's saying exactly what Dana Bash wants to hear. [00:03:43] Trump is terrible. [00:03:44] We're losing like crazy. [00:03:45] So Bill Cassidy says something that's totally untrue. [00:03:47] And if you're watching this from Louisiana or listening in Louisiana, please email this to Bill Cassidy. [00:03:53] So he says, quote, over the last four years, we lost the House, the Senate, and the presidency. [00:04:00] That has not happened in a single four years under a president since Herbert Hoover. [00:04:03] He's just wrong. [00:04:05] And so, test case number one, George W. Bush. [00:04:09] In 2006, George W. Bush lost the House and the Senate. [00:04:12] And in 2008, Republicans lost the presidency. [00:04:16] In fact, because of George W. Bush and his warmongering tendencies and his big government policies, we lost worse than we could have ever imagined. [00:04:27] What was, Connor, can you look at the House margin in 2008? [00:04:30] I think it was 60 or 70 seats, and I think the Senate margin was at least nine seats. [00:04:36] And so Bill Cassidy is either a fool or he's lying. [00:04:43] And it also happened over six years to Obama, but the point is he's talking about a Republican. [00:04:49] George W. Bush oversaw massive collateral damage when it came to the Republican Party. [00:04:56] Significant. [00:04:59] But Bill Cassidy doesn't want to talk about that. [00:05:00] Okay, that just really bothered me. [00:05:02] So let's get into more critical news about the governor of the second largest state in the country who is under, let's say he's under fire right now. [00:05:14] Let me see here. [00:05:14] How many was it? [00:05:15] House of Representatives? [00:05:18] It was plus eight in the Senate, plus 21 in the House. [00:05:21] Only 21 in the House. [00:05:22] I thought it was more than that. [00:05:23] Interesting. [00:05:24] Well, it's plus seven right now in the House. [00:05:26] Okay. [00:05:27] Andrew Cuomo is under fire. [00:05:32] Now, this story is very interesting to me. [00:05:35] And you could just tell by how the New York Times covers it that he might survive this. [00:05:42] Now, Andrew Cuomo is under two separate scandals. [00:05:48] One that I really don't care about and one that I really care about. [00:05:55] So the one I really don't care about is whether or not Andrew Cuomo was a dirty old man to his young staffers saying inappropriate things. [00:06:06] I expect that out of 60-plus-year-old New York mob-style politicians. [00:06:11] It's baked into their existence. [00:06:15] If Andrew Cuomo wasn't acting like a pig, I would say there's probably a scandal behind that. [00:06:23] It's just part of you're in control of everything. [00:06:26] You're Don Corolone of New York. [00:06:28] People look to you. [00:06:29] They kiss the ring. [00:06:30] You act as a jerk and as a pig to young women. [00:06:35] Now, he didn't inappropriately touch any of them, from what I understand. [00:06:38] He sexually harassed them. [00:06:40] Now, I'm not making excuse for it. [00:06:41] I just don't think it's that critical. [00:06:43] I don't. [00:06:45] Do I think he should be removed from office? [00:06:46] I think he should be removed for office for much more consequential things. [00:06:51] I'm a critic of the entire Me Too movement. [00:06:53] I am. [00:06:54] I have been outspoken against it. [00:06:56] I think that without any nuance, without any context with these sort of accusations, we're going to go the way of complete and total mob rule. [00:07:08] We've talked about this before. [00:07:09] So, but the real story when it comes to Andrew Cuomo right now is around these accusations. [00:07:17] Now, Joe Biden was under accusations too from Tara Reid. [00:07:21] Whatever happened to Tara Reid, by the way? [00:07:23] Can we get Tara Reid on our podcast? [00:07:24] I would love to have Tara Reid as a guest on our podcast. [00:07:27] I'm not kidding. [00:07:27] Let's do that. [00:07:28] If you don't know who Tara Reid is, Tara Reid credibly accused Joe Biden of sexual assault, not just sexual harassment. [00:07:34] But again, I just get, I just take a much slower, more deliberate approach with these things. [00:07:40] Not everyone is scum like Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein. [00:07:44] Like there's actually gradations of difference here, okay? [00:07:48] So, Andrew Cuomo is under these accusations, and he says that the accusers misinterpreted his remarks and agrees to harassment inquiry. [00:07:55] Now, since Andrew Cuomo is a pathological liar, I actually tend to believe these women. [00:08:02] However, he might be right. [00:08:04] They might have misinterpreted it. [00:08:06] Because if you read the accusations from these young women, this one young woman said that Andrew Cuomo asked her, Do you like being with older men? [00:08:15] So, at the very worst, that's Andrew Cuomo hitting on her. [00:08:19] At the very best, it's Andrew Cuomo being just kind of a dirty pig. [00:08:30] By the way, I'm not justifying or defending his behavior. [00:08:32] Trust me, okay? [00:08:35] But what the Democrats want us to do, and this is all their strategy, and I learned this from the great Rush Limbaugh. [00:08:42] May he rest in peace. [00:08:43] I miss him every day. [00:08:44] You know what the Democrats want to do right now? [00:08:46] Is the Democrats want us to have a conversation about leaders over the age of 60 acting inappropriately towards women? [00:08:56] What does that open up? [00:08:57] Oh, we can go talk about Donald Trump's behavior towards women. [00:09:01] That's what they want. [00:09:03] They want to say, okay, Andrew Cuomo was bad, but he wasn't as bad as Trump. [00:09:07] And all of a sudden, you're like, why are we talking about Trump again? [00:09:10] The real scandal, by the way, Andrew Cuomo is actually enjoying this right now. [00:09:14] Andrew Cuomo, very well, and I will be the only one that will argue this. [00:09:19] I think Andrew Cuomo leaked these. [00:09:22] I do. [00:09:23] I think Andrew Cuomo wants to be under Me Too accusations. [00:09:28] I do. [00:09:30] Because I think the nursing home scandal is so bad, is so credible, and so factual. [00:09:36] Anything to distract Andrew Cuomo from that, where he could potentially be exonerated, he wants. [00:09:44] And so apparently now, Letitia James, who is the Attorney General of New York, is going to launch a full investigation into whether Andrew Cuomo said a couple of inappropriate remarks to 20-something staffers. [00:09:56] The New York Times reports: Mr. Cuomo, 63, said that his comments, which emerged in an account from his aide, Charlotte Bennett, were an extension of life spent at work, where sometimes he quote teased people about their personal lives and relationships. [00:10:10] Quote, I now understand that in my interactions, may have been insensitive or too personal, and that some of my comments given my position made others feel in a way I never intended. [00:10:22] I acknowledge some of the things I've said have been misinterpreted and as an unwanted flirtation to the extent anyone felt that way, I'm truly sorry about that. [00:10:28] Now, the true test will be if anyone from Andrew Cuomo's past will come out and show a pattern of this. [00:10:37] But again, I'm less concerned at whether or not Andrew Cuomo was acting like Hugh Hefner and more concerned about whether or not Andrew Cuomo was putting infected Chinese coronavirus patients in nursing homes, lying about it and covering it up. [00:10:55] As the China virus spreads across the globe in the spring of 2020, Noble Gold's investors flocked to a precious metal as a financial safeguard. [00:11:03] Gold is up more than 30% since March of 2020. [00:11:06] Silver has surged more than 50% over the same period, reflecting the correlation among precious metals during times of financial volatility. [00:11:13] But providing financial protection is not the only role that precious metals play in the fight. [00:11:19] Precious metals also have broad applications in the medical field that go well beyond the dental uses most people associate with their value. [00:11:26] But providing financial protection is not the only role that precious metals play in this fight. [00:11:30] Gold and silver nanoparticles are an essential part of the virus research and prevention. [00:11:34] As the Chinese coronavirus continues to mutate, science will have to adapt its prevention methods accordingly, and precious metals continue to stay in demand. [00:11:44] If you have the kind of questions I do about you, the financial mix on how to best leverage precious metals as a hedge against market uncertainty, I encourage you to visit NobleGoldInvestments.com and call their team for free gold guide. [00:11:55] Call NobleGold today and tell them Charlie Kirk sent you for a special gift with all qualifying transfers. [00:12:04] Dr. Anthony Fauci should be fired. [00:12:06] We've been saying that since the first day I heard that maniac on television. [00:12:10] He's a liar. [00:12:11] And so Florida is succeeding. [00:12:14] It was a great piece of television last evening. [00:12:17] I got to thank the great one, Mark Levin. [00:12:20] He just did a phenomenal job highlighting Ron DeSantis for the full hour, giving him an opportunity to explain exactly what's happening in our country. [00:12:29] Florida is the second oldest state in the entire country, the third largest state, and has some of the lowest infection rates, death rates, and severe hospitalization rates, the most vibrant economy, small businesses that are flourishing, and schools that are wide open. [00:12:44] Why? [00:12:45] Because Ron DeSantis did what we talked about on the show back in April. [00:12:50] He trusted the scientific method. [00:12:53] He didn't listen to the scientists. [00:12:56] He actually employed the Socratic method of questioning. [00:13:00] He doubted the political motives of Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has failed upwards his entire life. [00:13:10] He should be removed from all decent and polite society. [00:13:16] And quite honestly, Anthony Fauci should be called to question for the thousands of people that have had to suffer under mental health issues, self-harm issues, because of the lockdowns. [00:13:29] So I want to play some tape here of America's greatest governor, Ron DeSantis. [00:13:36] And the second greatest governor, I think, is Christy Noam. [00:13:39] And why is every Republican in the country not like this? [00:13:42] What is the excuse? [00:13:44] Why are most Republicans afraid to open their state? [00:13:49] Why are most Republicans implementing mask mandates like Brian Kemp in Georgia? [00:13:54] Now, he's been a little bit better than most on the lockdowns, quite honestly, but not as good as Ron DeSantis. [00:14:00] Or the governor of Alabama has been terrible. [00:14:03] It's because Ron DeSantis, quite honestly, is smarter than the rest of them. [00:14:07] Most governors in the country, most people in politics, are not very smart. [00:14:11] They're not. [00:14:12] Most people in politics are sociopathic, self-interested people, and some of them do a good job because they just follow the party line. [00:14:20] But Ron DeSantis is very rare. [00:14:23] As the great Alex Marlow from Breitbark.com mentioned on our podcast, which by the way, check out our podcast. [00:14:30] He said, Ron DeSantis is the rare combination of a high IQ, courageous, ambitious politician with good principles. [00:14:39] What a great way to put it. [00:14:41] So let's go to cut 21 of Ron DeSantis on my friend's program, the great one, Mark Levin, talking about how we cleaned up elections. [00:14:52] Let's just start with elections. [00:14:54] Now, Brian Kemp, why can't you fix your elections like Ron DeSantis? [00:15:00] The easy answer is Ron DeSantis is much smarter and has more courage. [00:15:05] And if that bothers you, Brian Kemp, to hear, then prove us, prove to us that you have the intelligence or the charisma or the courage to do something different. [00:15:14] Play tape. [00:15:15] And then when I came in, I had the situation of looking at Broward and Palm Beach. [00:15:20] So we accepted the resignation of Brenda Snipes from Broward County, and then we removed the supervisor in Palm Beach County and replaced her with somebody who's done a good job. [00:15:30] Those had been two of the problem counties. [00:15:32] So we did that right off the bat, took the election integrity very seriously. [00:15:36] Then we also, when COVID hit, I refuse to do any type of mass mail balloting or any of the things these other states did. [00:15:44] The fact is in Florida, we had our system. [00:15:47] If you want an absentee ballot, you can request it and then you can send it in. [00:15:51] But we're not just going to send millions of ballots into the ether and then trying to figure out what's going on. [00:15:57] What a simple, logical, reasonable way to go about running elections. [00:16:01] If you want a ballot, you request it. [00:16:03] We're not going to send ballots all over the place. [00:16:06] Ron DeSantis also fired Brenda Snipes right out of the gate. [00:16:08] Ron DeSantis oversaw the cleanest and most trusted elections in the country, which just so happened to result in Donald Trump winning by 400,000 votes. [00:16:23] Ron DeSantis has the booming economy, protecting Second Amendment rights. [00:16:27] He's passing an anti-riot bill. [00:16:29] He's holding big tech accountable. [00:16:32] Now, we've focused on Ron DeSantis quite a lot on this program. [00:16:37] And the reason is twofold. [00:16:39] Number one, he's doing a phenomenal job. [00:16:41] Number two, most Republican governors aren't. [00:16:45] Most Republican governors do not have what it takes to be a leader. [00:16:51] Governor Ron DeSantis has proven that even in a state that is split down the middle, Republican and Democrat, almost 50-50, in a state that is a battleground state, you can be the most conservative governor in America. [00:17:08] And again, Christy Noam deserves a lot of credit. [00:17:09] We'll play some tape from her. [00:17:10] Besides that, I see an open area of really no courageous Republican governors. [00:17:21] And I'll go through the list and we'll see if there's some exceptions. [00:17:26] All right, listen closely, everybody. [00:17:28] This is a very special offer from a dear friend of mine, someone who has been so generous, so amazing to Turning Point USA and to the Charlie Kirk show, a friend of mine, Ed Zeman. [00:17:38] So look, we talk a lot about Florida, the great state of Florida. [00:17:42] And if you or a loved one are looking for an amazing getaway in the greatest state, which is Florida, my home state, look no further than a high-end RV resort, a total amazing experience at the Tides RV Resort, very close to the Tampa St. Pete area. [00:17:57] That's thetesrvresort.com. [00:18:00] So look, I visited it myself, actually. [00:18:03] My buddy Ed texted me and said, you got to check it out. [00:18:05] I want to partner with you guys on the Charlie Kirk show. [00:18:08] So I went a couple weeks ago. [00:18:09] In fact, I did the Charlie Kirk show right from the Tides RV Resort. [00:18:13] That's how mission-driven they are. [00:18:15] And I've never seen an RV resort before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. [00:18:19] I can tell you right now, five-star, luxury, the best out there. [00:18:22] And so maybe you guys are in the RV business. [00:18:24] And by the way, some of you might not be, but you should be. [00:18:26] It's actually kind of cool. [00:18:27] You can see the country. [00:18:28] You can live nicely. [00:18:30] But for those of you that are in the RV community, by the way, half a million RVs were sold last year. [00:18:37] This is the place for you. [00:18:39] I've been there. [00:18:40] And again, it's amazing. [00:18:41] It has everything you could want as a high-end RV owner, including two pools, a clubhouse, a 30-acre lake, a billiard room, a card room, an office, kayaking on the river, and plenty more things to do for an active lifestyle. [00:18:52] So check it out. [00:18:54] If you have an RV and you're planning a big trip, then you know you need an RV resort, maybe to park. [00:19:19] They love our country and they want to get behind our program. [00:19:23] They've donated very generously to Turning Point USA. [00:19:26] So when you maybe check it out or you go there, tell them Charlie Kirk sent you and receive a free gift. [00:19:33] That's right, a free gift and use the promo code Charlie when booking online. [00:19:37] Whenever you are in the country, get in your RV or rent one. [00:19:42] Experience the beautiful country and take advantage of this amazing getaway in the free open state of Florida. [00:19:47] Don't let the lockdowns get in the way of you living your life. [00:19:50] Check out the Tides RV Resort. [00:19:52] Let me say that again. [00:19:53] The Tides RV Resort. [00:19:56] The website, the TidesRVResort.com. [00:19:59] If you are in the RV world, check it out. [00:20:01] Tell them Charlie Kirk sent you. [00:20:03] They're amazing people. [00:20:07] Let's get to some more sound here. [00:20:09] Governor Christy Noam comes out and says that Fauci was wrong a lot. [00:20:15] Let's go to Cut 13. [00:20:17] We never focused on the case numbers. [00:20:19] Instead, we kept our eye on hospital capacity. [00:20:22] Now, Dr. Fauci, he told me that on my worst day, I'd have 10,000 patients in the hospital. [00:20:29] On our worst day, we had a little over 600. [00:20:33] I don't know if you agree with me, but Dr. Fauci is wrong a lot. [00:20:41] Roaring applause. [00:20:43] Dr. Anthony Fauci should be allowed nowhere near government, but you get the government that you advocate for and deserve. [00:20:48] And for whatever reason, we deserve Dr. Anthony Fauci in some form of a sinister punishment. [00:20:54] Let's go to cut 23 of Ron DeSantis, the other great governor in our country, who says that we're going to challenge big tech. [00:21:01] Now, for every Republican governor and Republican attorney general out there, and I'm actually seeing some Republican attorney generals tomorrow, why are you not following the Florida model? [00:21:12] Ron DeSantis is challenging these big tech companies directly. [00:21:16] It's not enough, but it's a start. [00:21:17] Play cut 23. [00:21:19] Well, Mark, our country cannot allow the terms of the debate to be set by leftist oligarchs in Silicon Valley. [00:21:27] That is totally unacceptable. [00:21:29] So we're really tackling it on three different areas. [00:21:32] One is data privacy and personal privacy. [00:21:35] You have a phone, even if you're not using it, they're always pulling data from that. [00:21:39] They sell the data. [00:21:40] They make hundreds of billions of dollars doing that. [00:21:43] We think individuals should be able to opt out of that process. [00:21:46] You buy a phone, you pay your money for it, and you can use it, but they shouldn't be able to monetize indefinitely off your use. [00:21:55] Also, election interference. [00:21:56] We saw with what they did with the Hunter Biden story by suppressing it. [00:22:00] Obviously, we saw what they did with President Trump. [00:22:03] So we have penalties if they deplatform a candidate for office. [00:22:07] And then if they're doing things like suppressing or elevating for a particular candidate, that's an in-kind contribution. [00:22:14] That is the most thoughtful defense of going after big tech that I have heard from an elected official. [00:22:21] And the reason why Ron DeSantis gets an entire hour on Mark Levin's program on Sunday evening, while other Republican governors are saying, well, what can I do to get that? [00:22:32] Well, be courageous, be wise, and be unafraid of the criticism. [00:22:37] Whereas most Republican governors across the country are nowhere to be found. [00:22:41] They're doing mask mandates, lockdown measures, doing nothing against big tech. [00:22:46] Ron DeSantis has shown that we can stand up, advocate our positions, implement them, and we'll get more popular in the process. [00:22:56] Cut 16, Ron DeSantis at CPAC saying we cannot and we will not go back to the failed establishment of yesteryear. [00:23:04] Cut 16. [00:23:05] Florida's leading on the issues that matter to conservatives. [00:23:08] We don't spout hollow rhetoric. [00:23:11] We take decisive action. [00:23:13] And what's true in Florida is true for conservatives across the nation. [00:23:18] We cannot, we will not go back to the days of the failed Republican establishment of yesteryear. [00:23:28] We reject weakness in the face of the threat posed by China, including their actions in international trade. [00:23:36] We reject military adventurism. [00:23:39] Instead, support a strong defense solely for the purpose of protecting our nation and its people. [00:23:46] Ron DeSantis is smart enough to listen to the conservative base, look at the MAGA doctrine, something we know a little bit about here on this program, that is immensely popular amongst his citizens. [00:24:00] So Ron DeSantis is not talking about starting foreign wars all across the world. [00:24:05] He's not talking about representing the corporate interests of the war machine. [00:24:10] Instead, Ron DeSantis says we reject military adventurism. [00:24:15] If Ron DeSantis focuses on trade, China, American culture, ending endless wars, free speech, big tech censorship, anti-riots, opening schools, and opening the economy, he's already running circles around every other conservative out there. [00:24:36] Now, whether Ron DeSantis will run for president or not, he has proven in this time he is more qualified than anyone except Christy Noam. [00:24:49] Christy Noam and Ron DeSantis have proven what it means to be a leader. [00:24:53] And I'm saying if Trump runs or not, Trump runs, the point is that the measuring stick should be a crisis. [00:25:02] For some of these other people that want to run for re-election, like Governor Brian Kemp, for example, in Georgia, he's just not up to the task. [00:25:12] He should have remained as Secretary of State or as a state senator. [00:25:16] He is not a natural-born leader. [00:25:20] He's just kind of cowardly, corrupt, and not very good at his job, quite honestly. [00:25:25] Same can be said of a lot of Republican governors across the country. [00:25:30] You know, it's kind of funny. [00:25:33] When you get used to a certain type of food, you think all food tastes that way. [00:25:44] And then you have a real meal. [00:25:45] You say, oh, my goodness, I've been eating trash. [00:25:47] This is what happens with college kids, at least you used to, before they started to open up these five-star buffets. [00:25:52] When they started eating ramen noodles all the time, then they have a real meal. [00:25:54] They say, oh, my goodness, there's more than just this cup of sodium-dense liquid. [00:26:02] The point is that Governor Brian Kemp wouldn't look terrible if it wasn't for how exceptional Ron DeSantis looks and how courageous he is. [00:26:11] He has raised the bar. [00:26:13] And so if your governor is not like Mike DeWine in Ohio, I'm sure he's a very nice person. [00:26:23] Why did Ohio ever lock down? [00:26:26] Why was Ohio not leading the charge in opening schools? [00:26:31] Ron DeSantis was the first state alongside South Dakota to open up all their restaurants and open up public gatherings. [00:26:39] Let's just go through the checklist of what Florida has successfully done. [00:26:45] Safest and most secure elections, hosting a Super Bowl and winning that Super Bowl, hosting CPAC, reigniting the hotel industry, massive population growth, open businesses, open schools. [00:26:58] Meanwhile, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, California, Washington, Oregon, all run by Democrats, by the way, are suffering. [00:27:10] Ron DeSantis also talks about rejecting open borders and instead supporting American sovereignty. [00:27:16] My goodness, he is speaking the love language of the conservative base, CUT 17. [00:27:22] We reject open borders and instead support American sovereignty and the American worker. [00:27:29] Building a movement on the foundation of amnesty and cheap foreign labor is like building a house on a field of quicksand. [00:27:41] Well said. [00:27:42] You can win an election with a message like that. [00:27:44] I want to get to this clip and this sound here of something that happened in Georgia. [00:27:53] So Georgia passed favorable election reform measures requiring a voter ID to vote on absentee ballots. [00:28:03] What happened in response was that Georgia activists stormed the Georgia Capitol. [00:28:09] Did you hear about this story? [00:28:10] Probably not. [00:28:11] Did George Scarborough lead with it on Morning Joe? [00:28:14] Probably not. [00:28:14] CNN even mention it. [00:28:16] The Georgia Capitol was stormed. [00:28:19] Was the FBI called to call them insurrectionists? [00:28:24] Play tape. [00:28:25] Attention, attention. [00:28:28] I am George Involved with the Georgia State Patrol. [00:28:31] You are a violation of 1611, 34-point left. [00:28:48] Disperse immediately or you will be arrested. [00:29:11] That woman is a state rep refusing to leave after a Capitol police officer, a Georgia Capitol police officer, asks her to leave, Park Cannon. [00:29:21] HB 531 requiring a copy of a valid ID for absentee ballots. [00:29:27] I don't expect any sort of media outrage or backlash for this at all. [00:29:32] He said, you will disperse immediately or you'll be arrested. [00:29:36] State Representative Park Cannon put her head in front of the bullhorn, causing the amplification to feed back into a screech. [00:29:43] That will not be headline news anywhere. [00:29:47] Let's get to some more sound here. [00:29:50] Ah, yes, this is one. [00:29:51] I've been wanting to touch on this. [00:29:52] I saw this in the cut sheet earlier. [00:29:54] One thing that frustrates me more than anything else is someone who is given access, who is given a position that thousands of other people would give anything to be in that spot. [00:30:10] And the moment they're no longer in it, they become a Judas or a Brutus. [00:30:17] Someone who is steeped in betrayal, ingratitude, self-righteousness. [00:30:24] And that person would be John Bolton. [00:30:26] Do you see a through line between all the people that hate Donald Trump the most? [00:30:30] John Bolton, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger. [00:30:33] What do they all have in common? [00:30:36] They all have Genghis Khan-style zeal to conquer the planet, not actually serve the interests domestically of our own citizens. [00:30:45] So John Bolton, who never misses an opportunity to advocate for a foreign war, of course, attacks Donald Trump for something about the CPAC straw poll on CNN. [00:30:59] Cut to it. [00:31:02] But just to take CPAC, if this is the epitome of support for Trump, the straw poll that was taken this weekend and released just before Trump spoke showed that of all the participants, 55% supported Trump being reelected as president. [00:31:19] That is a pathetic figure. [00:31:22] I would have expected 90%. [00:31:24] So if 55% one month after leaving office at CPAC is the best he can do, that's a mark of how far he has fallen. [00:31:33] First of all, John Bolton has no idea what he's talking about. [00:31:35] The point is that the fact that John Bolton continues to go on TV and talk negatively about his former boss, someone who signed a document saying, I trust you to be near me, is the definition of immorality. [00:31:49] Self-righteous, immoral, lying person. [00:31:58] I'm very excited to talk to all of you about a new book out from my good friend Jim Holden. [00:32:04] And the new episode is out. [00:32:05] You guys should listen to that episode. [00:32:06] Best-selling author, turning point endowment board member, and my dear friend. [00:32:10] Selling in an Anxious World is Jim's fifth book on selling strategies and best practices. [00:32:16] This time, Jim brings together research and science with many examples to dramatically improve business-to-business sales, campaigns for important deals. [00:32:23] It's a fantastic book, and you actually go beyond winning deals to actually impacting the things you care about most. [00:32:32] Jim goes through it piece by piece, and I can tell you I've read this book. [00:32:35] It's a great book. [00:32:36] Jim encourages readers to start their own careers by outperforming others to accelerate career growth and be more fulfilled in their work. [00:32:43] It's a must-read. [00:32:44] I had the great honor of contributing a chapter to Selling in an Anxious World. [00:32:48] You heard me speak about the culture war in America. [00:32:50] Turning Point USA has brought the love of our country and God to education, our churches, and now Jim has brought it to corporate America to help businesses and people be successful. [00:33:00] It's a social responsible book for people who want to lead and not just follow. [00:33:05] Get selling in an anxious world and see for yourself. [00:33:22] If you are in business or if you're looking for direction in your life, go to sellingcharlie.com. [00:33:27] Use the special code turning point. [00:33:33] Nine years ago, I remember popping open my BlackBerry. [00:33:43] And I was subscribed to the Foxnews.com Breaking News Alerts. [00:33:47] It was March 1st, 2012. [00:33:50] I was a senior in high school nine years ago. [00:33:53] And I remember getting this email alert, and it says, Andrew Breitbart, dead. [00:34:00] And I couldn't really even process what that meant. [00:34:05] I was a fan of Andrew Breitbart's. [00:34:07] I'd never met him. [00:34:10] And six weeks later, Joel Pollack from Breitbart.com actually gave me an opportunity to publish my first ever op-ed, which then led to my first ever television appearance. [00:34:24] And from there, Turning Point USA. [00:34:26] And so Andrew's legacy is larger than life. [00:34:32] I never knew him, never got to meet him, but I feel like I know him based on the amount of footage, the amount of literature, the amount of commentary that I have poured over throughout the years. [00:34:42] Andrew was larger than life. [00:34:44] He was magnanimous. [00:34:46] He was our most effective weapon against the left. [00:34:51] And I will make the argument to you right here, right now, that Andrew Breitbart got Donald Trump elected while not living. [00:35:02] Are you ready to hear this argument? [00:35:04] Andrew Breitbart spent a lot of time on Twitter and on his computer before Twitter was a big platform. [00:35:13] At 2 o'clock in the morning, he all of a sudden saw a very unusual tweet from Anthony Weiner. [00:35:21] Anthony Weiner decided to tweet out a very personal picture of himself. [00:35:25] Andrew Breitbart screenshot it and archived it. [00:35:28] Weiner denied it at first, resulted in Anthony Weiner getting exposed for his pattern of bad behavior. [00:35:40] Andrew Breitbart passed away not too long after that, but the story that Andrew Breitbart started to break turned into a full-fledged investigation into Anthony Weiner's most personal dealings. [00:35:57] Fast forward to the fall of 2016, October of 2016, all of a sudden there was a certain announcement from James Comey. [00:36:10] You might remember that got James Comey in a lot of trouble when James Comey said that there was a new server that was found and there are questions around Hillary Clinton's emails. [00:36:21] Now, what emails were they? [00:36:24] They were emails from Huma Abadine. [00:36:31] Who is Huma Abadin, the former wife and partner of Anthony Weiner? [00:36:37] How did the FBI get their hands on them? [00:36:44] Because of the shenanigans and criminal behavior of Anthony Weiner. [00:36:51] So if Andrew Breitbart would have never exposed Anthony Weiner, we very well may never have had a criminal investigation into him. [00:36:59] Therefore, all of the emails from the hard drive of Anthony Weiner would never have been possessed. [00:37:05] Therefore, an investigation into Huma Abedin, therefore an investigation to Hillary Clinton might never have started. [00:37:13] And that press release that James Comey wrote 10 days before the election would never have been issued because that was the center point of the whole thing, which definitely played a role on the margins of Donald Trump winning the election in 2016. [00:37:27] Only Andrew Breitbart could have possibly pulled off a multi-year campaign while not even being alive to defeat tyranny. [00:37:39] Breitbart.com continues to be a phenomenal website. [00:37:42] I contribute there quite often. [00:37:43] We have Alex Marlowe on our podcast. [00:37:46] And I will make the argument in a longer essay. [00:37:48] It's really a book that someone should write, that Andrew and Rush were the two most powerful, influential, non-elected political figures of our lifetime that taught the conservative movement how to communicate, how to create, how to fight, how to persuade, more so than anything else. [00:38:06] They had their own little lane. [00:38:08] One was investigative, one was more broadcast. [00:38:10] Both of them played an impact on my life when I was just a high schooler. [00:38:14] And they left the conservative movement in a much better place. [00:38:17] And I would make the argument, no Andrew Breitbart, no Rush Limbaugh, no Donald Trump. [00:38:22] So Andrew Breitbart, I never had a chance to get to know you, but God bless you. [00:38:27] Nine years ago, you passed away, and I could tell you the legacy that you continue to leave is one that we should all desire to have a mark on this world.
