[00:01:54] The conventional wisdom before the lockdowns was that a lot of people staying at home, a lot of people bored with nothing to do. [00:02:07] The birth rate is assuredly going to increase. [00:02:11] People point to the great blackouts in San Francisco, New York, as direct points of correlation for a spike in births nine months later. [00:02:21] However, as soon as the lockdown started, what we started to do here on our program and on our podcast is start to tell people: no, the birth rate is not going to go up. [00:02:32] We started to warn people that we're actually going to have 500,000 less children in 2021 because of the lockdowns. [00:02:40] We were mocked and we were ridiculed. [00:02:42] People in the liberal intelligentsia told us that we were fear-mongering and we were far removed from reality. [00:02:50] And of course, now a report out today that says the United States is on pace to have 500,000 fewer births in 2021 due to the Chinese coronavirus. [00:02:59] This is according to the left-leaning Brookings Institute, published in the Wall Street Journal. [00:03:04] How is this possible? [00:03:05] You have more people at home. [00:03:07] You have more people out of work. [00:03:08] Why is it that people are having less children? [00:03:11] And this is the real lesson and the real takeaway here. [00:03:13] It's exactly why our prediction came true. [00:03:17] It's because having children is a value. [00:03:19] You have to want to have the value of reproducing. [00:03:24] Most people do not have multiple children because they blame economic factors or they say that the world is too much of a dangerous place for me to want to bring more children into this country and into the world. [00:03:40] This is a fire alarm for our civilization. [00:03:43] 500,000 less children. [00:03:47] And yet the ruling class and the people in charge are concerned about locking our country down again. [00:03:55] Now, the consequences of this are dramatic. [00:03:58] We are now on the verge of a population collapse. [00:04:01] Now, remember, all of the fearmongers said that we were going to have an overpopulation problem by 2020. [00:04:09] The exact opposite has actually happened. [00:04:12] We are now seeing people voluntarily say that they no longer want to have children. [00:04:17] And it's only going to get worse. [00:04:19] There are more single 30-year-olds than married 30-year-olds in our country. [00:04:23] 16-year-olds are less likely to date and interact with people of an opposite sex. [00:04:30] And what's our solution to all this? [00:04:32] Lock down the country again. [00:04:34] The more you lock down the country, the more you are going to stunt development, the more that you are going to interrupt normal behavioral patterns. [00:04:43] You are going to interrupt people that want to proceed with their life and have children and live the American way of life. [00:04:50] 500,000 less children. [00:04:53] Now, mind you, this should be the number one news story in the country. [00:04:56] It's a lot bigger than whomever Joe Biden thinks is going to be his treasury secretary. [00:05:00] It's going to be a lot bigger than any of these other stories you're seeing, any of the celebrity news. [00:05:05] So here's what the ruling class will now demand. [00:05:08] And you heard it here first. [00:05:10] Because we are now having less children, because we have not communicated the value of having children to the next generation. [00:05:19] Having children is a value. [00:05:21] The ruling class and the politicians in both political parties are going to say, since we're having so few children, now we need more people coming into the country to fill our jobs and our positions. [00:05:34] They're going to bring in more low-wage labor. [00:05:38] They're going to bring immigrants in from across the planet, all across the world, to dilute the labor pool. [00:05:45] That's going to be their solution. [00:05:46] When in reality, their solution should be something closer to what Hungary did. [00:05:52] It says this in the Breitbart article. [00:05:54] Prime Minister Viktor Orban implemented a pro-family agenda to increase the nation's birth rate among a similar rapid decline. [00:06:03] The nation saw a 5.5% increase in the birth rate and a 5.7% increase in the fertility rate compared to before the policies were implemented. [00:06:12] I've long said, and I was saying this back in June or July, that we should pay U.S. citizens to have children. [00:06:19] This is mocked amongst even conservative circles. [00:06:22] They say, oh, that's not the proper role of government. [00:06:25] Well, if family creation is not part of the proper role of government, then what is government here for? [00:06:30] Is the role of government to bring in another 5 million people from across the world that don't share our values, that are going to undercut our wages? [00:06:37] And so this is one of the reasons why our program right now is so important on the landscape. [00:06:44] It's because we're talking about issues that the activist media refuses to interface on. [00:06:50] And if we are going to continue, if the trends are going to go uninterrupted, then we are going to have a set of circumstances with a technocratic pro-corporate presidency, a declining birth rate, a diminishing American culture and cultural background. [00:07:11] And their solution will be, go praise your corporate overlords. [00:07:15] We're going to go bring in another 2 million people into our country every single year. [00:07:18] And they're probably going to go declare a war to distract us from all these actual issues somewhere in the midst of all of this. [00:07:25] The consequences of a declining birth rate is one of the key leading indicators of a society that no longer wants to exist. [00:07:36] And we've seen this in a variety of different ways. [00:07:38] We saw this in the rise of the BLM incorporated movement. [00:07:41] We've seen this in the rise of the racial insurrectionist movements. [00:07:44] We've seen this with Antifa. [00:07:46] We've seen this with white upper middle class liberals that hate the country far more than working class Hispanics do or working class blacks do. [00:07:57] We have seen this in other ways where President Donald Trump received a higher share of black and Hispanic voters of any Republican running for president since 1960, but a smaller share of upper middle class whites. [00:08:11] The wealthiest counties across America almost all voted for Joe Biden. [00:08:17] Joe Biden represented the 1% better than almost any other candidate in American history. [00:08:23] He dominated the 1%. [00:08:26] Oh, yes, the college-educated, upper-middle-class, white suburban elite, they can afford to have as many children or as few children as they want. [00:08:36] So these sort of issues about declining birth rates, it doesn't impact Beverly Hills or Highland Park, Texas or Palm Beach, Florida, or Winnetka, Illinois, or Greenwich, Connecticut. [00:08:49] These sorts of issues they consider to be laughable and distraction issues. [00:08:53] That's why they like Joe Biden. [00:08:54] For them, all they care about is expanded corporate profits, returning decency back to the White House, whatever that means, so you can bring the Biden criminal enterprise back into the executive branch of our government. [00:09:05] But what it really comes down to is these upper middle class suburbanites who turn their back on Donald Trump in certain areas that actually benefited dramatically thanks to a Trump economy and a Trump presidency. [00:09:19] They were tired of going to cocktail parties and going to neighborhood gatherings and out to dinner with friends. [00:09:25] And I mean, they hear about how terrible Donald Trump is. [00:09:27] And eventually they started to believe it. [00:09:29] Despite all the results around them, peace in the Middle East, border wall being built, first step back, VA Accountability Act, all of that. [00:09:37] And for them, they see a declining birth rate as like, so what? [00:09:40] Of course we want a declining birth rate. [00:09:42] Means that we can go bring in a bunch of low-skilled workers and labor in our corporations. [00:09:48] We'll be able to now maximize our profit margins, as if that's the most important thing out there. [00:09:53] The Republican Party did unbelievably well with blacks and Hispanics because of this 500,000 birth decline. [00:10:01] Think about that, 500,000 less children. [00:10:04] This is why Republicans did so well. [00:10:06] They kind of stumbled backwards into this. [00:10:09] They did well because the people that are actually worried about a declining birth rate, which is generally the working class of our country, because the most important thing you can do is have children and replicate yourself and replicate your values and replicate your culture. [00:10:23] That's something that the ruling class is kind of disinterested in. [00:10:25] They think that's kind of medieval. [00:10:26] If you don't believe me, just go ask them. [00:10:29] Where blacks and Hispanics say, no, we actually want to be able to have five or six children if we want to. [00:10:34] That is an almost economic impossibility in America. [00:10:39] So the question is, why, why during a time of national lockdown would the opposite happen? [00:10:45] The answer, people can't afford to have as many children as they want to have. [00:10:49] That's number one. [00:10:50] They can't. [00:10:52] Because our hypercorporatization of our country, of the multi-trillion dollar companies that sell us in this era of surveillance capitalism, have convinced us that their absolute authority and dominion, no pun intended, over our civilization is somehow a good thing for us. [00:11:14] The second of which is the people that have the money to actually have five or six children, they don't think it's actually necessary. [00:11:21] They'll say, I'll have one of each. [00:11:23] That's what I hear in the upper middle class circles. [00:11:26] How many kids do you want? [00:11:27] I don't know. [00:11:27] I want one of each, as if they're picking out a Buick. [00:11:30] Dennis Prager has a very good line on this. [00:11:33] He says, I would like to know one secular atheist family that had more than five children. [00:11:40] Dennis has offered a cash prize on his radio, on his radio show, if you can go find an atheist family that had five or six kids. [00:11:49] And I will do the same. [00:11:50] Here in the Charlie Kirk Show program, we will offer, I'm sure it's out there somewhere. [00:11:55] I'm just saying it's so hard to find. [00:11:57] It would be like discovering the lost city in South America. [00:12:04] If there is a family out there that's atheist and you have five or six children, I would love to meet you. [00:12:10] The point is this: as America has become less religious and as America has lost its moral center, all of a sudden it's very hard in a secular, Darwinistic, humanistic, moral worldview to justify having five, six, or seven kids. [00:12:24] Typically, those are religious families. [00:12:26] Because in a religious, specifically an ethical monotheistic worldview, we're commanded to have many children. [00:12:34] It's considered to not be a burden, but to be a blessing to the world. [00:12:39] And so, yes, this is a fire alarm for our civilization, one that we've been talking about here for quite some time. [00:12:47] Well, it's been quite a year, hasn't it? [00:12:49] Bit of a nightmare, quite honestly, for most people. [00:12:52] And Christmas is a great time to reflect, especially on those who helped us get through it. [00:14:19] As I was driving through Scottsdale, Arizona, I saw people in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale with 20,000 square foot homes with massive BLM signs and Biden-Harris signs. [00:14:32] As they decide they no longer want to participate in this beautiful gift that we have been given, Hispanics, the group of people that we were told by the activist media hate Donald Trump and hate Republicans, have been making a notable and dramatic shift in the Republican direction. [00:14:52] This is from an article, Fox News, Hispanic support for Republicans growing as Democrats move leftward. [00:14:59] The election saw a notable shift in heavily Hispanic counties. [00:15:02] Compared to the 2016 election, Trump support rose by 5% in Yuma County, Arizona, 8% in Imperial County, California, 7% in Luna County, New Mexico, and 28% in Star County, Texas. [00:15:18] Trump especially improved his performance in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. [00:15:23] In addition, Trump won Florida by nearly four percentage points, an absolute blowout. [00:15:27] How is this possible? [00:15:28] It's because the Republican Party is now the party of muscular work. [00:15:32] We talked about this as inspired from Victor Davis Hansen's commentary. [00:15:36] If you work with your hands, if you go to work every single day, and you don't just sit behind a computer, the Republican Party is now the party for you. [00:15:45] Now, mind you, the Republican Party didn't ask for this. [00:15:48] The Republican Party did not actually design an agenda in some form of cigar-filled bourbon-inspired meeting where all of a sudden the ruling class of the Republican Party said, I know what we'll do. [00:16:02] After we get done golfing 18 holes at Augusta, we are going to all of a sudden say we're going to go represent the working people. [00:16:09] No, the Republican Party traditionally was disinterested with working people. [00:16:14] They said, let the Democrats own all the unions. [00:16:16] Let the Democrats own the muscular backbone of America. [00:16:21] We are going to go own the suburbs and the upper middle class. [00:16:24] And we're going to go win Hispanics by offering them amnesty. [00:16:27] That was their entire idea. [00:16:29] So the agenda of Jeb Bush to go win Hispanics over was we're going to do the Chamber of Commerce thing, which is we're going to go become super socially liberal and open up our borders and promise amnesty. [00:16:43] The issue is that a lot of Hispanics don't want amnesty. [00:16:47] And Hispanics are first and foremost social conservatives, thanks to the Catholic tradition in the Hispanic community. [00:16:55] So Donald Trump did something completely different. [00:16:58] He says, I'm not going to offer amnesty, but I will offer fair immigration. [00:17:02] I will offer border security. [00:17:05] And most importantly, I'm going to represent your values. [00:17:08] I'm going to represent your values. [00:17:09] I'm going to be pro-life. [00:17:10] I'm going to put great justices on the United States Supreme Court. [00:17:14] I'm going to cut taxes for working people. [00:17:17] I'm going to be pro-entrepreneurship. [00:17:19] And I'm also going to challenge the ruling class and the elites. [00:17:22] And President Trump raised family income by $6,000 per year in the first couple years on average. [00:17:29] I'm just pulling that off the top of my head, but it's just about right. [00:17:32] And so entrepreneurial-focused backbone America Hispanics went a completely different direction than the upper middle class white liberals, which I just think is one of the most interesting and delicious ironies of this entire election, is that despite all the race baiting and the fear-mongering, it's the people of color themselves that actually gravitated most towards Donald Trump. [00:17:57] This is a great line in the article. [00:17:58] It says, Hispanics are following generations of immigrants before them, assimilating into American culture and voting based on their beliefs, not ethnicity. [00:18:07] Democrats want Hispanics to vote on circumstance of their arrival, but they're increasingly voting based on the reasons for their coming. [00:18:14] And I could tell you right now, for the future of the Republican Party, the Republican Party is in a phenomenal position to dominate state, local, and federal elections. [00:18:24] If we lean in and understand that the American dream is not racial, it is colorblind, that anyone can succeed in this country. [00:18:35] And that's the message that Hispanics and blacks want. [00:18:40] Thanks so much for listening, everybody. [00:18:42] If you want to get involved with Turning Point USA, go to tpusa.com. [00:18:46] That's tpusa.com, where we play offense with a sense of urgency to win America's culture war. [00:18:51] Email us your questions, freedom at charliekirk.com.
