[00:00:00]  Hello everyone, sorry I haven't updated you on this channel for quite a while, but I've got quite a lot to tell you because a lot's been going on.
[00:00:06]  Just because this channel hasn't been updated doesn't mean I have been idle.
[00:00:09]  I put a video up a couple of weeks ago called This Day in Stupid where I said I'd be doing daily commentaries on a new channel I have called A CAD Daily.
[00:00:18]  As you can see I have been very busy.
[00:00:20]  These are basically short segments that would otherwise have compiled This Week in Stupid just uploaded as individual videos because it's a lot quicker and easier to record that way and I can actually produce that kind of content.
[00:00:33]  So if you're interested in more This Week in Stupid you can go over there and find it.
[00:00:37]  Due to many many demands over a very long period of time I also set up a PO box, a post office box.
[00:00:44]  This is something apparently you can just write on a letter and post or a parcel and post and it will find its way to my local post office department where I can pick it up.
[00:00:55]  It is PO box of a CAD because I didn't know what else to call it.
[00:01:01]  So if you want to send me something funny I'll probably do like an unboxing video on the thinkery or something.
[00:01:05]  Count Dankina and myself were also due to do a live debate with some leftists but one complaint got that shut down.
[00:01:14]  So we are going to host a live event on November the 2nd in London.

[00:01:19]  We're going to be delving into the aspects of ancient civilizations and the amusing parts of them.
[00:01:26]  It should be a very fun night.
[00:01:27]  So Dank's planning to talk about ancient Greece and how Western civilization is predicated on but stuff and I'm going to talk about I guess I've been thinking about doing a thing on the Epic of Gilgamesh for a while because it's actually really funny if you put it into terms that the modern reader will understand because it's really not very politically correct and it's it's a genuine joy to read.
[00:01:54]  Now probably do an event on this because I've had this planned for a while and I think when I'm talking about historical stuff I like I'm more effervescent than usual.
[00:02:03]  As I said that will be on the 2nd of November but before then I will be going to the land of the free and the home of the brave to give some university speeches.
[00:02:12]  I'll be doing one at Utah University which will be on the 21st of October and I've been asked to come and talk about tech censorship which I suppose is just one aspect of the wider cancel culture that we are all experiencing.
[00:02:26]  I've noticed that everything's on a hair trigger at the moment because I've got three dates planned or I had three dates planned one of which was at Rice University.
[00:02:38]  However, Rice University have decided to cancel my appearance there on the 18th of October for reasons I'm not really sure about to be honest.
[00:02:47]  According to houstonpublicmedia.org there's some kind of feminist jihad against the institution for handling sexual misconduct in a negative or poor way.
[00:03:00]  I'm not really sure.
[00:03:01]  I have no idea.
[00:03:02]  I mean I don't know anything about this.
[00:03:04]  But they did see fit to suspend my visit because they were worried about controversy.
[00:03:10]  And so I was kind of surprised by this as I'm not connected to their mishandling of sexual assault cases in any way, shape or form.
[00:03:18]  However, there will be an alternative event hosted off campus.
[00:03:23]  So I will still be there.
[00:03:24]  I'll put notifications out on my various social media platforms.
[00:03:28]  Primarily my Telegram account is the one I use the most.
[00:03:31]  You should definitely follow me there because it's where I put all the fun and interesting stuff when I'm not just posting links to my videos.
[00:03:37]  I'll also be giving a talk on the 23rd at Pennsylvania State University.
[00:03:42]  Again, on the same sort of subject, but I'll probably not give the same speech twice because that would be boring to me.

[00:03:59]  This channel is going to be dedicated to long-form video essays and interviews from now on.
[00:04:05]  I did have an interview with a mysterious, interesting political figure, but that's been postponed, so that's going to be coming up another time.
[00:04:15]  But in the meantime, I'm working on my script for the Politics of Demolition Man.
[00:04:19]  As you can see, it's almost 7,500 words.
[00:04:22]  It'll probably be around 8,000 or 9,000 when I'm finished.
[00:04:25]  And hopefully, I'll be able to get that out fairly soon.
[00:04:27]  It's definitely going to be worth your time.

[00:04:39]  Like I said, I'm producing the daily videos, so I'm producing regular content.
[00:04:43]  So there is definitely still something that you can watch that's entertaining and informative, as well as producing the largest-scale projects in the background.
[00:04:53]  And I also have two large-scale projects that I'm not prepared to reveal yet, in addition to the Crusade one, which is it's kind of taken a there's a project I need to do first to set this one up.
[00:05:05]  Um, all will become clear when I reveal it.
[00:05:08]  Um, but this this is an interesting and I think should be quite important one, um, but I can't reveal it yet.
[00:05:15]  I've also given Callum access to the Teespring store, so he's made a bunch of things that honestly I basically disapprove of.
[00:05:23]  There have been some requests to do a t-shirt with the Sargon logo that I used in the video response to Dan of Deutschland about the German question, so that's up there now as well.
[00:05:34]  And speaking of Dan of Deutschland, he did actually give me a response in a video.
[00:05:40]  Now, this was a very stunning and brave response, and it was exactly as haughty as you would expect from a German.
[00:05:49]  Let's have a listen to it.
[00:05:50]  From the right, German anti-nationalism is often framed as a kind of self-hatred due to an underlying guilt left over from the Third Reich.
[00:05:58]  And despite research showing the opposite to be the case, they seemingly cannot fathom someone viewing their country of origin in a nuanced manner and not strictly positive.

[00:06:07]  It's really weird how you don't link that in the description.
[00:06:12]  But my personal experience tells me that lots of Germans feel guilty as Germans for what Germany did under Nazi rule.
[00:06:21]  It seems to lurk in the back of your minds like a specter.
[00:06:26]  Your very channel's iconography is based on a response to the swastika.
[00:06:31]  It would seem that the Nazis still loom large in your imaginations.
