Sorry for the kind of impromptu video on this, but something big is going down and you might want to make your arrangements accordingly.
According to the official blog on YouTube, our ongoing work to tackle hate over the past five years we've been investing in the policies, resources, and products needed to live up to our responsibility and protect the YouTube community from harmful content.
Now, you might think that the people making the harmful content were technically part of the YouTube community, but of course they're not.
The YouTube community means progressive, or at least things that do not step out of line with progressive orthodoxy.
This work is focused on four pillars: removing violative content, raising up authoritative content, reducing the spread of borderline content, and rewarding trusted creators.
Thanks to these investments, videos that violate our policies are removed faster than ever, and users are seeing less borderline content and harmful misinformation.
So they have an agenda that they are engineering the platform to achieve in order to pander to left-wing activists.
That's what's happening here.
As we do this, we're partnering closely with lawmakers and civil society around the globe to limit the spread of violence extremist content online.
The one valid thing that they have written there.
We review our policies on an ongoing basis to make sure we are drawing the line in the right place.
2018 alone, we made more than 30 policy updates.
One of the most complex and constantly evolving areas with which we deal is hate speech.
And this is where we come to it.
We've been taking a close look at our approach towards hateful content in consultation with dozens of experts in subjects like violent extremism, supremacism, civil rights, and free speech.
Based on these learnings, we are making several updates.
Now, you'll notice that no one has been contacted from the other side of this conversation.
What does Stephen Crowder get to say to YouTube?
Very little, I would imagine.
What do I get to say to YouTube?
Absolutely nothing.
YouTube has always had rules of the road and long-standing policy, blah blah.
Reducing borderline content.
Enforce our monetization policies.
This is one of the crucial ones for conservatives.
Anyone who is centrist, normal, mainstream, but likes to make jokes.
Finally, it's critical that our monetization systems reward trusted creators who add value to YouTube.
We have long-standing advertiser-friendly guidelines that prohibit ads from running on videos that include hateful content, and we enforce these rigorously.
Yes, since you're called out by the media.
And in order to protect our ecosystem of creators, advertisers, and viewers, we tightened our advertising criteria in 2017.
Yes, the apocalypse.
Thank you for screwing us all.
In the case of hate, and literally everyone, regardless of whether you're political or not, in the case of hate speech, we are strengthening enforcement of our existing YouTube partner policies.
Channels that repeatedly brush up against our hate speech policies will be suspended from the program, meaning they can't run ads on the channel or use monetization features like Super Chat.
The openness of YouTube's platform has helped creativity and access to information thrive.
It's our responsibility to protect that and prevent our platform from being used to incite hatred, harassment, discrimination, and violence.
We are committed to taking the steps needed to live up to this responsibility today, tomorrow, and the years to come.
So, hopefully, Carlos Mazia doesn't have to write another tweet saying he's very offended by Stephen Crowder making jokes about him.
Because that's what this has been.
So, Stephen Crowder's channel has been demonetized as I understand it, and apparently he has to stop selling his shirt in order to get it remonetized.
Now, I'm not sure if I can't confirm that, but that's just what I've heard through the grapevine.
The information is probably out.
He's going to be doing a live stream shortly.
But when they say they're going to get rid of all, quote, supremacist content, well, they've outright banned you Kipper, The Great Order, and Varg.
I don't know half of these channels, by the way.
They've demonetized Martin Selner, James Allsup, Stephen Crowder, Red Eyes TV, and Sinatra Says.
Now, I don't know about Sinatra Says, but the other, like, Red Eyes TV, James Allsup, and Martin Selner are just white nationalists.
Steven Crowder is not, he's been, he's been demonetized because he made a joke about Vox presenter.
unbelievably the guy calls himself gay wonk and he said oh you're a gay mexican which appears to be true i mean but anyway loads of people have had videos deleted uh and Angelo, John Cage, never heard of him.
Gabriel Kiddis, Milo, Red Eyes TV, Black Pigeon Speaks, Drunken Peasants, Press for Truth, and JF Garapay.
There is something worrying happening here.
So I would strongly recommend that you find a platform outside of Silicon Valley and find your favorite creators on there and then subscribe to them.
They may well be able to keep their YouTube channels, apart from the ones who have just been outright removed.
Oh, there were also more bands.
Culture Thug, Xerius, demonetized Jessie Peterson, Iconoclast, Tailed Feature, Ford Fisher, Dan Dix, Revenge of the Sis, videos deleted, Owen Benjamin and Count Ancula.
Man, so far, nothing's happened to my channel.
So far, he says that, saying that, you know, you should probably be looking at his channel when he says that.
But so far, I've just been demonetized completely on my channel and on my other channels.
All the videos get demonetized.
So, and I noticed that on like good, the Good Morning Britain video I did, they can copyright claim those videos and actually run ads on my channel, even though the channel's demonetized.
So, wonderful.
So, yeah, find your favorite non-Silicon Valley alt social media accounts and definitely just take five minutes to do it now.
Because otherwise, tomorrow, who knows who gets removed, and then you effectively, those people have disappeared forever.
It's just you're going to have to, if you want to enjoy these people's content in future.
I would recommend BitChute, Telegram, Minds, Gab as the sort of four major ones that I use.
Although I don't use Mines and Gab as much.
Oh, yeah, by the way, I'm also on a Facebook purge list, so I won't be on Facebook for that much longer either.
But yeah, so these are platforms I think are very credible.
They're good at what they do.
They are pro-free speech.
You're not going to get removed from them.
I find it very unlikely.
And also, of course, for crowdfunding, there is Subscribestar.
Now, I'm surprised that Patreon have been quiet during all of this, because doubtless all of these people have a Patreon account.
And I would be seriously thinking that's not a safe bet at the moment either, to be honest with you.
You know how these things cascade, like they did with Alex Jones, who, as I said at the time, was a test case.
Can they get away with it?
And it turns out they can.
So we're going to have to start popularizing other platforms.
Like I said, BitShoot and all the rest.
I think they're good.
Links are all in the description, obviously.
Now is the time to start donating monthly to your favorite creator.
I'm not talking about me.
Just talking about whoever it is you like.
Now is the time to put up.
Because otherwise these things are going to go away.
And the people who created the content that you really enjoy, their lives are going to get immeasurably more difficult because of what's happening today.
And like I said, it just goes for anyone.
Anyone.
So far, obviously, no far leftists who are supremacists in their own right have been removed.
No, no one, no, none of the sort of Gazi kodzos of the world or anything like that.
None of those people, obviously.
Because it's all one way until they're all gone.
And then the noose carries on shrinking until it's finally around everyone's neck.
We've been warning about this for years.
They're going to do this.
Oh, look, they've done it to me.
They've done it to crowd.
Oh, look, they're banning a bunch of people and demonetizing others.
We know that this is what they're going to do.
You know, Alex Jones, Milo, all of them.
Like, this is not accidental.
They are telling us openly that this is about engineering their platform to make it the kind of place they like, the kind of place they are comfortable with, regardless of how you feel about it.
This is a form of sort of like class-based elite morality being imposed upon the plebeians, and you are one of the plebeians.
So don't forget that, because they're better than you, by the way.
Just so you know.
It's the iron fist coming out of the velvet glove.
And there are going to be lots of people who need your help.
So if you do want to donate to your favorite content creator via some other method than Patreon, I would recommend.
And Subscribestar seems to be the best one.
Although Jordan Peterson's one is going to be coming online soon, I believe.
I actually have an email from him I need to reply to.
I would do it now.
Now is the time.
Now they need your help, because, I mean, this is obviously going to be very demoralizing to a lot of, and like I say, I'm not even, a lot of these people I'm in open opposition to, and they make videos against me all the time.
Like, I'm not saying this because of any love of them, but this is the fact.
If these people are ever to become less radical in anything that they say, this is not the way to go about it.
And making sure they don't lose everything, that's probably a way of actually making sure they don't go mental.
You know, I really mean it.
Like, censorship radicalizes people.
Why won't they listen?
They just won't fucking listen.
And this is screwed.
Karlov Mazza has done this to all of these channels because he didn't like Steven Crowder telling jokes about him.
Stephen Crowder has done nothing wrong here.
He is not to blame.
He has done absolutely nothing wrong.
But here we go.
Now it's just the purge.
And I think it's important to know that I'm not going to stop producing content.
I'm very much enjoying Telegram.
I use it very regularly because it's kind of like a healthy Twitter replacement.
I don't get in spats with annoying people on there because it's not quite as interactive as Twitter, but it's still good for me to talk to people who want to hear from me and I can read your comments and whatnot.
So it's, you know, and you guys can show me the reactions and stuff.
So it's a really, it's a much healthier way that doesn't feel sick, you know, in the kind of way that Twitter is.
So that's definitely some place that I would recommend.
Bit shoot is amazing because it's decentralized video hosting.
I believe they have a monetization model as well, though I just haven't had time to look into it.
But hey, I guess I will do that now.
And there are other options.
I'll let you know in future videos if I use them.
But also your other, any of your favorite content creators.
And this goes for anyone in any political realm at this point.
And any fandom in, I mean, you know, anyone who's made any edgy jokes in any regard, you know, like, and I would be careful if I was like the left-winger tanky types.
Because, man, if you think this isn't going to come back around to bite you on the same principles, then I think you're wrong.
And so make sure that like left, right, center, whatever it is you're doing, wherever it is you are, just make some kind of backup account and encourage people to follow you there.
seriously it's probably going to be necessary.
I mean this this is not even the tip of the spear.
