Time Text
So we have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right.
And we have to start doing something about them.
There is no travel ban on them.
There is no ban on, you know, they have the Muslim ban.
There is no white guy ban.
So what do we do about that?
Good question, Don Lemon.
Well put, I thought, but for some reason, lots of people were upset with you, Don.
Can't think why.
We need to stop demonizing people and realize that the terror threat comes from white men.
Really?
I mean, if the evidence is in your favor, I can completely see why you'd just double down on this.
Just like Charles Murray, really, aren't you, Don Lemon?
You're just a persecuted, misunderstood person.
You're just citing statistics.
There are, in fact, a terrifying array of statistics that we could go through, if you like.
We could go through the number of terrorist attacks worldwide, if you like, Don.
I mean, I know that America is the only place in the world, but all of the other places are getting bombed by Muslims, at least according to the statistics.
But I think the silliest thing you did here, Don, was to tie this to the category of race.
Because now we're discussing race and the statistics that are tied to that.
And my goodness, there is a plethora of interesting statistics that I know that you don't want to talk about.
We can start with something benign like marriage rates if you want, Don.
And then who knows where that conversation goes?
And who knows what we're going to discover at the end of that road?
And believe it or not, Don, there are a lot of people at the end of that road who want to have that conversation with you.
So you will be in good company with the Nazis.
And just in case you think I'm invoking Godwin's Law and saying, well, basically you're a Nazi.
Well, let me just explain myself.
Let me clear it up.
Don, you think like a Nazi.
How about that?
Is that clear enough?
Don Lemon thinks like a Nazi.
You, the black identitarian who's married to a white man, you think like a Nazi.
When you say we have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men and we have to start doing something about them, what people are hearing is not only just a racist and sexist method of categorizing what you consider to be threats.
And it's not just that in the same breath you are being unbelievably hypocritical.
It's that you seem to think that white men are not people.
Let me explain.
When we use the term people, we are commonly talking about our moral community, the people with whom we share our society and we expect moral consideration from.
We could, if we want, subcategorize people in this overarching category of people.
We could have the categories white men, non-white non-men, or Muslims, all as separate categories of people.
And as a subcategory of those people, we could put terrorist.
Because out of all of these categories, there are terrorists and they all do it for different reasons.
These might not even be useful categories for understanding why these people become terrorists.
For example, you specified right wing because it's more useful to be able to understand why these people are becoming terrorists if we understand that it comes from the subset of white men that are right wing.
And we can get further into that in increasing increments to become ever more specific with our rhetoric.
Outside of our moral community are threats to the life and liberty of human beings.
For example, animal attacks, diseases, natural disasters.
These are not things to which we give moral consideration.
When an animal attacks someone, we put the animal down.
When a disease kills people, we try to eradicate the disease.
When a natural disaster occurs, we try to make sure it doesn't kill anyone.
We try to stop it if we can.
That's a regular person's view of the world when it comes to identifying these groups and actually acting with them, the sort of heuristics that people live their lives with.
You'll notice, Don, that people and white men are not a dichotomy.
One is a subset of another.
White men are people that we include in our moral community.
In the same way we include Muslims in that moral community as well.
And even terrorists.
They are still human beings, they are still people, and they still have rights and moral consideration.
Your conception of the world looks like this.
People, non-whites, non-men.
Muslims, migrants.
An example of threats in your world are animal attacks, diseases, natural disasters, and white men.
Particularly the right-wingers.
The threats are outside of your moral community, and therefore outside of your moral consideration.
You see white men the same way the Nazis see the Jews.
Do you understand Don Lemon?
When you say we have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat is white men, and we have to do something about it, when you differentiate between people and white men, it puts people on edge.
When you leave a specific race of people outside of your moral consideration of them as people, Don, you think like a Nazi.
That's you right now because you're so deep into your ideological stew that you can't understand what you look like to everyone.
And then citing statistics, well, like I said, we've got a whole manner of statistics and none of them are good for the particular race that you are.
So maybe, just maybe, we won't use racial statistics and we'll actually use moral philosophy.
What is right and wrong, Don.
And one thing that it's not right to do is demonize an entire race of people.
Especially after you've just been a massive fucking hypocrite saying that we shouldn't demonize an entire group of people.
Your bigotry probably wouldn't annoy me so much if you were at least logically consistent.
All you can say, Don, is it's okay when I do it.
