| Hi everyone, sorry I couldn't be there with you, but unfortunately I had a prior commitment that I had before I joined UKIP and I want to be a man of my word so I couldn't break it. | |
| But I'd just like to say thanks to Jared Batten for offering me the opportunity to speak even if it's only through this video. | |
| I really appreciate it. | |
| Before we start I'd just like to say thank you for everyone who's just welcomed us into the party with open arms. | |
| It's been really really nice and it's been really eye-opening because obviously like everyone else we've seen all the media scaremongering about UKIP being an evil far-right party and it turns out none of that's true. | |
| It turns out that UKIP is just the party of regular people and is staffed and filled and supported by regular people. | |
| And the YouTubers, we're just guys who started YouTube channels because we were concerned about the state of the world. | |
| We're regular people too. | |
| So I feel like I'm in exactly the right place and exactly the right party and to do exactly the right kind of work. | |
| Because I think everyone understands that right now British liberty is under threat from many different sources. | |
| Whether it's communists on our universities, Islamists in our northern towns or censorious MPs in our own parliament, the people who want to change our way of life forever and prevent us from speaking our mind about the terrible things that are happening in our country are active and have the power to actually make these changes. | |
| And so personally I'd like to see UKIP expand its remit from being the only party for Brexit to being the party, broadly speaking, for British values. | |
| As far as I can tell, the UK Independence Party seems to be the only party that cares about the small people and the people who are actually being affected by the changes that are occurring in our country. | |
| I believe that we need an active and engaged political force to be able to actually try and tackle the regressive forces that would erode our freedoms, which is why the other YouTubers and I have been doing everything in our power to support the cause. | |
| So far I've interviewed about half a dozen UKIP members for my channels and these interviews have been very very well received and I definitely intend to do more. | |
| Mark and I went to the European Parliament in Strasbourg to watch the Article 13 and Article 11 votes. | |
| Didn't go our way but at least we got a real impression of how the sausage machine works and after being there all I can say is thank God for Brexit and to say thank God for Brexit is really to say thank God for UKIP because without you guys and everything you've done for the wider British public, whether they understand what is going on or not, Brexit wouldn't have been possible without you. | |
| So honestly thank you. | |

| I never really wanted to get into politics but it really is just as Pericles said. | |
| You might not be interested in politics but politics is certainly interested in you. | |
| I can't speak for the other YouTubers on this but I certainly know that I'm going to be doing everything I can to help promote the party and the shared values that we have and to help re-establish the moral good that is our shared British identity because I genuinely believe that it is. | |
| And the values and the culture that it stands for I think is truly something that we can be proud of. | |
| We don't have to be ashamed to be what we are because this is ours and it's okay that it's ours. | |
| And I'm frankly tired of having to sit there and concede ground on this. | |
| This is where I'm drawing the line. | |
| This is where I'm planting my union jack. | |
| This is where I'm saying that's it. | |
| This is far enough and no further. |
