So New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, brother of CNN's only the press are allowed to read WikiLeaks, Chris Cuomo, is apparently not interested in holding any more elected offices as he has decided that America kind of sucks.
Let's have a look at this low resolution video from CNN.
And look, the simple point is all this comes down to this.
We're not going to make America great again.
It was never that great.
Did you hear the shock there?

Bit of applause, because let's be honest, you're speaking to a room that does kind of think that America sucks.
We will reach greatness when every American is fully engaged.
We will reach greatness when discrimination and stereotyping against women 51% of our population is gone and every woman's full potential is realized and unleashed and every woman is making her full contribution.
When that happens, this nation is going to be taken even higher.
That is an absolutely absurd standard to try and reach.
Everyone has to be fully engaged, but what if I don't want to be fully engaged?
That sounds like fascism, Andrew.
You will be involved with the state.
You won't be able to be a private person.
The state will be involved in every aspect of your life and you will be involved in the state whether you like it or not.
No, you can't just go to your house, do your job and have a private life.
Fuck you.
You have to be engaged.
The state is going to make sure you are.
Andrew Cuomo is going to make sure you are.
And if you don't like it, well, that's too damn bad.
You're part of the problem.
You're part of the reason that America isn't great.
Why do you not want America to be great again?

Do you think you are ever going to get rid of discrimination and stereotyping?

Just the idea that you're going to live in a world where there are no stereotypes, that's never going to happen.

And women are 51% of the population, therefore they are the majority.

I'm allowed to mock my oppressor and belittle them because that's how this works.

So given that you're fighting for women and girls, you really should be read up on your feminism.
And ultimately, what kind of brave hero fights for the majority?

I mean, wouldn't the majority naturally have a greater influence in society than any of the minorities?

I know I'm getting a bit off script at this point, and you have no idea what I'm fucking talking about.

And every woman's full potential is realized and unleashed, and every woman is making her full contribution.
What if they don't want to unleash their full potential?
What if there are people who are like, you know, I just don't feel like it?
I'm actually quite happy doing my dull day job, coming home, watching soaps, looking after my kids, and then go to bed.
And her full contribution, you mean getting them into the workplace, don't you?
You mean forcing, chaining these women to desks in offices and saying, right, don't you worry about going to see your kids.
They're currently in a daycare center.
You now have to contribute, my love.
Don't you worry about your family.
We will worry about them for you.

Oh, it's a glorious new future in corporate America, according to someone like Andrew Cuomo.
When that happens, this nation is going to be taken even higher.
Well, it's not going to be difficult to take them even higher if that nation sucks, isn't it?

I'm really looking forward to Andrew Cuomo taking this line of reasoning to its logical extent.
If Andrew Cuomo is in favor of gender majority, why should he not be in favor of racial majority?

After this went viral, as one might imagine it would, Andrew had to backpedal somewhat going, ah, actually, I was just criticizing Trump.
It was what we call in New York a play on words.
And everyone's like, sure it was, Andrew.
He really set it up for his opponents here as well.
In a tweet, Trump said that Cuomo was having a meltdown, while a Republican gubernatorial candidate said that Cuomo owed the nation an apology.
America, with all of its imperfections, has always been great.
Our people, our principles, our promises have been a beacon light to the world for 242 years and counting.
Well, he got you good there, didn't he, Andrew?
Turns out America's a lot better than almost everywhere else on earth.
What are you going to do about it, Andrew?

Here's the charitable reading of what Cuomo said.
The comment was a part of his larger contention that Trump's slogan, make America great again, is aimed at moving the nation backwards, not forwards, when it comes to equal rights for all.
That's right.
That's what Trump's complaining about.
He's not complaining that the global elite are busy opening your borders, selling off your trade to China and various other places around the world, and caring about the citizens of the country not a whit in order to pander to radical leftists who love literally anyone but a white American.
No, no, no.
He's saying, bring back segregation.
Donald Trump was thinking, well, have we considered the moral ramifications of ending slavery?
As Aristotle said, some people are natural slaves.
Have you considered that this might be Trump's perspective on abolitionism, says Andrew Cuomo.
Why do women need the votes?
US politics is way funnier than British politics.

Everything's turned up to 11 and the things that are being said are totally unreasonable.
Trump is not trying to return your country to a time when the blacks weren't allowed to play with the whites and that women were all trapped in the kitchen.
That's just not happening.
He's just trying to make America a bit more nationalistic again.
Because it seems like the bottom half of your country is kind of having a rough time about it.
And nobody cares about that because the people causing the problems are coastal elites.
And they don't care about the sort of flyover state areas where they leave these places.
They escape to the big cities and become progressive activists and live the high life of dozens of cats.
Friends who never turn up for engagements.
Crippling chronic self-confidence loss.
I mean, there are lots of reasons to move to a big city.
Increased crime rate is just one of those.
People shitting on the streets.
Rubbish just being left out.
Constantly.
An increasing plague of drug-addled homeless people.
Wow, I could just list the problems of San Francisco.
But the thing is, I know what Andrew's saying.
I mean, it's not like things were better before all of these more recent modern problems.
Things sucked back then too.
When I say back then, I mean about 1997.
In a subsequent statement, Cuomo spokeswoman Danny Lever said that he was expressing his disagreement with Trump's positions.
The governor believes America is great.
I think I have some footage that shows he doesn't.
We're not going to make America great again.
It was never that great.
I think this might be a bit of backpeddling, given the poor optics of what he said.
But her full greatness will be fully realized when every man, woman, and child has full equality.
What exactly does full equality mean?
Because it sounds like Cuomo is advocating for communism.
On what grounds could these people be considered equal?
They can have equal rights, they can be equal under the law, but that's not full equality, is it?
Because if that's full equality, you have that now.
But I guess they don't have full wage parity.
I guess they don't work the same number of hours a week.
They don't have physical parity either.
There are differences between men, women, and children on a physical level.
What's he going to do about that?
Install a new office of the handicapper general, I suppose, to get to that full equality that apparently is more important than anything else in all of human history.
And let's be honest, if you want every single person, including children, to be equal, imagine how many people you're going to have to drag down to the lowest common denominator.
Because that's the only way of giving everyone the same.
You're not going to be able to raise them all up.
You are going to be able to drag a bunch of them down.
America has not yet reached its maximum potential.
And if we don't literally get every single person slaving away for the collective good of the state, then America can't possibly be great.
It's not about the quality of life of the people who live within the country.
It's about the overall metrics of the country.
If we can get just more people into those offices, if we can get more people hating their lives, if we can get more people dependent on multinational corporations, America will finally be great.
She added, when the president talks about making America great again, he ignores the pain so many endured the way that we suffered from slavery, discrimination, segregation, sexism, and marginalized women's contributions.
Well, I'm sure that slavery is top of the list of priorities of things that President Trump wants to bring back.

To be honest with you, I don't trust them to define sexism accurately.
And marginalized women's contributions.
Who's marginalizing them?
The only people I ever hear talking about marginalizing women's contributions are feminists, often when they're dealing with TERFs or someone like that.
Those are the wrong women.
We can't have their contributions.
We need to marginalize them.
The thing is, Cuomo actually tweeted out to Donald Trump, what you say would be great again would not be great at all.
We will not go back to discrimination, sexism, segregation, isolationism, racism, or the KKK.
All things that Donald Trump campaigned on that made him president.
I'm sure that's basically going to be the foundation of his 2020 run.
Bring back discrimination, segregation, sexism, isolationism, racism, and the KKK.
