	Hello everyone, welcome to this week in Stupid for the 7th of January 2018.
	So before we begin, I just want to congratulate Diana Lazarou for winning the fourth round of the t-shirts contest with her t-shirt, Communists Are Bad People.
	Congratulations, Diana, I will PayPal you the prize money shortly.
	In other good news, Berkeley Antifar activist Yvette Falaka has been ordered to pay $11,000 for filing false restraining orders.
	As part of her activism, Yvette Falarca had been at war with the former president of the Berkeley College Republicans Troy Warden, and as part of this war, she had been filing false restraining orders against him.
	So Troy Warden decided to sue her.
	Falaka's frivolous legal actions were meant to intimidate me and hinder my political activism.
	And a member of the law group that's representing Warden said that Falarca had a history of filing and dismissing utterly frivolous cases against innocent targets, and he pledged to hold her and her lawyers accountable for their actions.
	Falarka and her fellow travellers in BAM and Antifar need to learn that the California courts are not their personal plaything to use and abuse at will by filing baseless and vexatious lawsuits.
	She is on notice.
	Stunts like this one will no longer go unchallenged in the courts by ordinary citizens.
	We will hold her and her lawyers accountable.
	Commissioner Thomas Raisk of the Superior Court of Aledema County has ordered Falarca to pay Warden $11,000 in attorneys' fees.
	He announced this decision in a Thursday press release which stated that he determined that her restraining order had not been filed in good faith.
	I personally agree with this completely.
	I wish people would stop filing frivolous lawsuits.
	And in other news, man who filmed Pet Dog giving Nazi salutes said gas the Jews 23 times in a short video clip is how the Daily Mail have decided to announce that the court case of Marcus Meachin, otherwise known on YouTube as Count Dankula, has been suspended because the Crown is apparently filibustering it.
	It's not even included in the headline that there is a court trial going on, which is the very thing that the Daily Mail are supposed to be reporting on in this article.
	This Daily Mail headline is basically just a defamatory tweet.
	A man who trained his dog to respond to the calls of gas the Jews said the vile phrase 23 times in a short clip uploaded to YouTube.
	Mark Meachin appeared in Airdrie Sheriff Court today accused of committing a hate crime.
	The 30-year-old recorded his girlfriend's pug Buddha raising its paw when it heard such vile statements as gas the Jews and seek Heil.
	And I would take it all the more seriously if Meachin wasn't there smiling like a massive fucking shitlord.
	Following complaints about the content, police were called and he was arrested, allegedly committing a hate crime by uploading the footage onto YouTube in April 2016.
	The original clip had been viewed more than 3 million times on the popular video site.
	Meachin of Lanarkshire said on trial at Airdrie Sheriff Court that he pleads his innocence, insisting the videos were only made to annoy his girlfriend Suzanne Kelly29.
	And I might be able to believe that Dankula was a massive fucking Nazi if he didn't turn up to court with a massive shit eating grid on his face each time.
	Prosecutors claim he shared material which would spark fear and alarm and also stir up anti-Semitic hatred.
	Meachin also faces another charge of posting a video on social media on YouTube which was grossly offensive because it was anti-Semitic and racist in nature.
	The prosecution claimed it was aggravated by religious prejudice.
	I love the way they are desperately, desperately trying to claw up anything with regards to a three-minute shit post.
	He accepts he was involved in editing and producing the footage and managed to distill it down to a short period of time.
	This is not some two and a half hour production with many shards every half hour.
	This is a toxic distillation of what he may call the best bits of his video.

	Because the thing is, you have to understand, Count Ankula is basically a supervillain.
	He is a highly intelligent and articulate individual.
	We are not dealing with some callow youth who is inexperienced with what is going on in the world.
	The crown contention is that the inclusion of the dog is an attempt to muddy the waters around him making, producing, and posting the video.
	He says that he knows the context of the video, but in a criminal court in Scotland, he does not decide the context of anything.

	And we've decided, somehow, that contextually, it's not a joke.
	Even though you literally begin the video saying, this video is a joke.
	Meetin stood up in court and said, see, Kyle, 1488 forever, Hitler did nothing wrong.
	Oh no, wait, he said, Zoni ever intended the video to be viewed by a small group of friends on his YouTube account and insisted he still found the video funny.
	And that's probably because it is funny.
	The unbelievable hysterics of the British legal system at this point is just embarrassing to me.
	I just want people outside of Britain to realize that this isn't a reflection on the humour of British people.
	Almost everyone who watches this understands that it's a joke.
	And I have to say, our friends on the continent are probably going to be experiencing cases like Mietzin's in the near future, as Germany starts enforcing its own hate speech laws.
	Germany is set to start enforcing a law that demands social media sites move quickly to remove hate speech, fake news, and illegal material.
	Sites that do not remove obviously illegal posts could face fines of up to 50 million euros.

	Because you didn't remove a hate speech post, whatever that includes, quick enough.
	The law gives networks 24 hours to act after they've been told about the law-breaking material.
	Social networks and media sites with more than 2 million members will fall under the law's provisions.
	Facebook, Twitter and YouTube will be the law's main focus, but it is also likely to be applied to Reddit, Tumblr and Russian social network VK.
	Other sites such as Vimeo and Flickr could also be caught up in its provisions.
	The call to police social media sites more effectively arose after several high-profile cases in which fake news and racist material were being spread via the German arms of prominent social media firms.
	And if there's one thing we can't have, it's people saying things that we don't think are true or we think are hateful.
	Germany's justice ministry said it would make forms available on its site which concerned citizens could use to report content that violates the NetzDG or has not been taken down on time.
	NetsDG is the law itself.
	The law has been controversial in Germany, with some saying it could lead to inadvertent censorship or curtail free speech.

	Because, you know, I'm not like a big fan of saying racist things to people, but at the end of the day, hate speech is free speech.

	Oh, imagine my shock that it's Germany that's the most authoritarian when it comes to dealing with the suppression of what people hear and what people think and what people say.

	It's right that the German authorities get all authoritarian when it comes to saying things that are quote-unquote hateful on social media.
	I mean, you might have some hateful people on the internet asking silly questions such as, why does Berlin's New Year's Eve party need a safe zone for women?
	What on earth could be the reason for this?
	Organizers of Germany's biggest New Year's Eve party at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate are setting up a special safety zone for women who have been assaulted or feel threatened.
	The move comes two years after hundreds of women were groped sexually molested and robbed by gangs of men during New Year's Eve festivities in Cologne.

	But because it's not all of them doing this, we're just going to say that it's not any of them doing this.
	It's just men.

	Well, I mean, I guess that they have managed to lower the number of migrant men doing this.
	So, all in all, it's a striking success.
	But there are other problems, such as the New Year's Eve attacks on police and firefighters.
	After several attacks on police officers and fire brigades at the turn of the year involving fireworks and bottles being thrown, politicians have warned that those responsible could face harsh penalties.

	A total of 25 police officers were similarly injured in North Rhine-Westphalia.
	None of them were so badly hurt that they had to remain in hospital though.
	But again, I bet it was just a stampede of Lederhausen-wearing Germans that were attacking their own police officers.
	Rainer Wendt, the head of the German police union, told Veldt newspaper that the attacks against emergency services and forces had reached life-threatening levels.
	And I tell you, just for someone outside of Germany who knows nothing about what's happening here, I am just baffled that the German people are turning on their own emergency services.

	But I tell you, thank God that's not going to happen, because as far as I'm concerned, all of these attacks are done by white Germans in traditional German outfits, and I don't mean ones made by Hugo Boss.
	But I tell you what, I hope the French don't have hate speech laws on their social media platforms, because my god, the people monitoring these platforms must have a fucking hell of a time.

	And we do have footage of an attack on a French police officer that was filmed in the early hours of New Year's Day.
	And unfortunately for the politically correct classes, once again, the footage does not show French youths wielding the baguettes like clubs and beating the officer to the ground.
	Unfortunately for them, the footage shows that it is North African and Middle Eastern immigrants.
	Horrifying video footage has emerged of a female police officer and her boss being beaten in a Paris suburb.
	The incident took place in the early hours of Monday following an emergency call in Champigny-Saint Man or something, an area of the southeast of the city.
	The unnamed officer was filmed by gang members as she was kicked around by the attackers.
	The footage was then uploaded onto the internet by the group.
	That's how much they give a fuck about your laws.
	So this was outside of a house where a New Year's party was taking place and a number of people had been turned away.
	And when the police arrived at the scene, they were also attacked.
	People being turned away led to fighting in the street and when the police arrived, they were attacked as well.
	The thugs filmed themselves stamping on the woman who tried to cover herself as she is relentlessly beaten.
	And she was not the only person.
	Her boss, the duty police captain, was also beaten up, but the attack wasn't filmed.
	The attackers ran to a nearby housing estate after destroying the patrol car, which was turned upside down and left in ruins.
	French Interior Minister Gerard Columb said after the attack, I just spoke with the officers assaulted.
	Everything is done to ensure that the cowardly perpetrators of these unspeakable attacks are apprehended and sentenced.
	To attack our security forces is to attack our republic.

	What are you going to do that's going to prevent, oh, I don't know, next year's New Year's Eve from having a thousand burnt cars and a bunch of beaten cops and a bunch of people taken to hospital for being raped or assaulted or shot with fireworks or stones or whatever?

	But getting to the really serious news, Virgin Trains has insulted a pretty white woman in Britain and that is newsworthy.
	Virgin Trains has apologised unreservedly for a tweet which some social media users described as sexist.
	In response to passenger complaints about being referred to as honey, the official Virgin Trains East Coast Twitter account said, would she prefer pets or love next time?
	Passenger Emilia Lucinda Cole27 said she was stunned by the response.
	My goodness, this is the real news.
