Good nab dan Herzli virkom su der Vochendimlich.
And no worries, I will stick to English.
Zaganovakart is currently on holiday and has invited me to host this week in Stupid.
And because it is me hosting this week, it will be a little more Eurocentric.
So let us begin.
Let's start with Austria.
Turkey in the European Union, not in my lifetime.
The dispute between Vienna and Ankara continues to escalate.
To a possible EU membership of Turkey, Austrian Chancellor Kahn says, You are simply not a valid applicant for membership.
Giving an interview in the German paper Frankfurter Agemanitzeitung Kahn stated, Turkish membership in the European Union is already a non-option out of mere economic reasons.
Turkey has crossed every single red line.
The treatment of journalists and human rights activists in Turkey are an act of dictatorial violence.
And even demanded the end of all membership negotiations with Turkey.
Quote, At one point, it simply is a question of credibility.
We pay Turkey 3 billion euros in membership application fees.
We can't be expected to pay for the implementation of a free government under the law and at the same time witnessed that the exact opposite is happening.
We can't explain that to the German and Austrian taxpayers.
At the same time, Ken underlined that Europe should continue supporting refugee camps being built in Turkey.
Now, these positions of the Social Democratic Chancellor could very well be due to the fact that national elections are coming up in Austria for October.
It has to be said though that for almost two years now the Austrian government has basically been playing the role of doing what the Germans should have been doing.
When the migrant and refugee crisis started, the Austrian government introduced limits on migrant capacity, whilst the German government openly flaunted the idea.
The Austrian government proceeded to work in cooperation with Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and other Balkan nations to close down the migrant routes through the Balkans.
That initiative, spearheaded by the Austrian government, was very sharply critiqued by both the German Chancellor and the German media.
And now, with the Turkish government further descending into a totalitarian state, with the arrests of a German and Swedish journalist even forcing the German government into acts of condemnation, it is becoming increasingly clear that the Austrian government was on the right side of this.
The Austrian government didn't stick to wishful thinking, hoping things would through some miracle change for the better, but took the actions required to stabilize the situation and would be the best for its national interests, which funny enough turned out to be Europe's best interest.
The Austrian government also saw the Turkish government's descent into tyranny.
The Austrian government and people at this point in time have every reason to point their fingers at the Germans and proclaim, we told you so.
Speaking of the migrant crisis, two months ago the German Federal Investigation Ministry published the PKS for 2016.
The PKS is the annual police crime report and the German ministry is required to publish those statistics annually, giving an overview of the overall situation regarding crime in Germany.
With the migrant and refugee influx of 2015 and 2016, many were looking forward to what these statistics would reveal to us.
Whilst mainstream media outlets such as the Haficton Post just proclaimed that these statistics supposedly prove that migrants and refugees committed just as much crimes as Germans, the reality is that migrants and refugees are 600% more suspects in crimes than Germans.
When it comes to violent crime, refugees and migrants are 1400% more suspects than Germans.
And when it comes to sexual assaults and rape, the picture of comparing German and foreign suspects is roughly just as bad.
Whilst additional statistics show that the vast majority of suspects in cases of crimes against sexual self-determination are not only foreign but Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans, Moroccans, Algerians and Tunisians.
The term suspect by the way in both these graphs doesn't mean that we don't really know the nationality or ethnicity of whoever is suspected of committing these crimes.
It means that these are suspects handed over to the prosecution by the police.
The term suspect is used because you can, in legal terms, only call them accused or suspect until the trial has concluded.
Now, these statistics are still being looked through, however, one thing cannot be denied anymore, which is that the Merkel administration's open borders policy and the consequent acceptance of over a million people that these migrants and refugees are on average a lot more prone to criminal activity than the Germans who are their hosts.
The German media, however, is still to this very day in a consistent state of denial over these facts and a consistent state of denial over where the country is heading.
In fact, one has to say that on frequent occasions, the German media is just outright lying on this topic.
Migrants not more criminal than Germans, writes Diet Zeit.
BKA study proves refugees are not more criminal than Germans, writes the Suit Deutsch Zeitung.
Security in Germany is on the rise.
Also for women, writes the Spiegel.
An article, by the way, which says that per population group, migrants are more criminal.
But then concludes out of that, this might be due to the fact that Germans are more willing to file police reports against foreigners.
So in essence, saying that it's just evil, bad German racism that is causing these statistics.
When it comes to their Spiegel and journalistic integrity, there is something I can point to that might give you a more clear picture of things.
Admittedly, this edition of the Spiegel is not from last week, but it contains the best example of their lacking integrity.
This article, which is basically one large piece of denouncing the increasingly growing alternative media landscape found on YouTube, Twitter, and other platforms, has some rather fantastical claims on Dave Rubin.
How Dave Rubin is actually a con artist, an illusionist, pretending to be a liberal whilst secretly promoting an extremist right-wing agenda.
The writer goes even so far as to tacitly imply that his ex-Muslim guest Yasmeen Mohammed is a liar.
However, what do you expect from a journal that publishes, and I'm not making this up, love poems for Justin Trudeau?
He is back again.
I will no longer be told from people who believe that it would still take time for the Messiah to arrive one day.
No, no, it shall not take longer.
I saw him.
In countless YouTube videos, he came and revealed himself to me.
Not in Jerusalem or so.
No, in Canada.
His name is Justin.
To feel what I feel, you must pronounce it in French.
Not Justin, like Justin Bieber, but Justin, so that it sounds like J Tem.
And that's how it is meant.
Moving on, we come to the head of the AFD in the German state of Bavaria, Petra Beistrom, who went to court to take legal action against being surveilled by the German authorities and had his case rejected.
The AFD, in case you don't know, is a right-wing party that sprang into existence during the past years and is in essence attempting to be a German version of UKIP.
His surveillance by the German authorities is due to the fact that he called the identitarian movement of Germany an outer parliamentarian opposition with similar goals to the AFD.
A statement, by the way, which he later even said was a mistake.
However, it gets worse.
His home was raided by police who confiscated all storage media and mobile phones whilst taking notes of the interior of his home.
Why?
Because he posted a meme on Facebook which placed the logo of the brown shirt SA next to the logo of Antifa and compared the two.
Yes, posting a meme in which you compare people to Nazi brown shirts who burn down half a city and terrorize its inhabitants for several days whilst organizing mobs to hunt down and beat up journalists.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
No, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no, no.
Hefstein.
That gets your home raided in Germany.
That's.
That apparently is a crime because you posted a Nazi symbol.
Germany has reached a point where simply stating that the Nazis are bad can get you into trouble with the law when you use Nazi symbols to express that the Nazis are bad.
With that story in mind, I would like to draw your attention to something else.
During the month of April, the German Antifa band Egotronic published a music video featuring the band Alice Scheisse, in which they turn up to what is most likely intended to look like an AFD party conference, to at first screech incoherent gibberish lyrics about how all Germans are racists, and then to proceed to seal up the door and beat the living shit out of what are presumably meant to represent AFD party members,
and to in the end have the lead singer of Egotronic, Scalp.
what presumably is meant to represent the head of the party AFD.
This apparently, a music video about violently disrupting the conference of the Democratic Party and presumably murdering the attendants of this conference is apparently acceptable within German society as long as you can brand the victims as right wing.
It most definitely is popular and whilst I find this video distasteful to the extreme, believe that this band should be free to make videos like these and don't even like the AFD myself, the glaring hypocrisy over the fact that the state which is willing to raid a man's house over condemning political violence is willing to not take any actions against something like this,
advocating for political violence or at the very least praising it or putting it in a glorifying light, that hypocrisy should be obvious not only to me but to everyone else.
Now let's talk about Poland where the governing National Conservative Party pushed a justice reform for its Senate and Congress that had significant parts of it subsequently vetoed by the Polish president.
The proposed reform would have meant that the governing party and more specifically the Minister of Justice would have had the power to fire Supreme Court judges and replace them with his own pigs as well as deeply intrude within the justice system and appoint and fire judges in many positions throughout the Polish judiciary.
Let's be very clear about something here.
An independent judiciary is one of the most fundamental institutions of any free society.
Even if you believe that the judiciary can never truly be fully not influenced by party politics, that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be an ideal we should strive for and consequently the reform proposed by the Polish government was horrendous and it is good that it has been vetoed by the Polish president.
The Polish government's behavior is also baffling, such as having army helicopters circle over protesters against that reform and the government consequently claiming they did so because they feared a coup.
Let's be blunt: if the government currently in charge can simply at any given moment at a whim fire a Supreme Court judge to then replace that judge with one less likely to find the proposed bill unconstitutional, the result is not only a mess of most likely having a completely new Supreme Court with every changing government, but the undermining of the constitutional principle of a judiciary independent of political meddling.
A republic's Supreme Court cannot simply turn into just another government ministry under control of the party currently in charge, or else that republic is simply bound to fail as its constitution will be continuously undermined by party politics.
And finally, let's talk about LARPing as a Kurdish fighter.
Apparently, there's a queer unit amongst the Kurdish fighters against ISIS.
I'm pretty sure a lot of you have already seen these pictures posted around by anarchists, communists, and others on social media under captions such as, Hey guys, this is how Antifa fights ISIS, whilst you just complain about Islam.
The funny thing about this is, however, that this group was formed last March mainly by foreigners.
Yes, a bunch of anarcho-communist, presumably middle-class kids turned up to create a queer fighters group as the war against ISIS is about to come to a conclusion.
And this entire thing is just as silly as you would think.
The anarchists dream of a strip of land where there is no longer a state.
However, the problems of the actual Syrians who, for six years, have suffered under the consequences of a war with many foreign elements, seem to be only a secondary issue for the foreign anarchist fighters from Germany, France, and other countries.
The influence of the anarchists in the region is seen as low by experts.
Wow, what a surprise that is.
I had a live stream with an American-Iraq war veteran who went to Syria to fight against ISIS with Kurdish troops as a volunteer a year ago, who specifically told me that people who do not have military training or possibly even those who don't have combat experience should not go there.
That these types of people are a drain on the resources of the groups fighting ISIS.
That Kurdish groups will have to bring up the resources to train, supply, and feed people who, in the end, could just as well turn out to be useless in this fight.
They even released a statement proclaiming their goals over what they would wish to achieve in Syria.
Now keep in mind that Syria has been in a state of total war for six years.
The country's infrastructure is destroyed.
Its institutions are destroyed.
Millions are homeless.
Millions are traumatized.
Millions have lost their livelihoods.
And I'm going to just show you images of that misery whilst reading that group's statement to you.
Our commitment to struggling against authority, patriarchy, oppressive heteronormativity, queer phobia, homophobia, and transphobia are strengthened by the revolutionary advances and gains of Kurdish women's struggle.
We have often talked about how social justice advocacy undermines real issues, how it alienates and disenfranchises blue-collar workers and does nothing alleviate their concerns within our Western modern societies.
And I think with this group here in Syria, we now have the ultimate example of how this is true.
A bunch of teenagers, presumably fresh out of college with their gender studies degree, go to a war zone in the months leading up to the defeat of ISIS to lecture the homeless, starving, sick, desperate, and most miserable people on earth on heteronormativity and patriarchy.
At the end of this summary, I would like to specifically address German speakers amongst the audience.
German YouTube, as we all know, is cancer.
Social justice is by far a rather popular thing within German society that is hardly ever challenged even within alternative platforms such as YouTube.
However, there is an increasing amount of German YouTubers who have started creating content critical of social justice in German and here they are for you.
That Dr. Rant is an actual doctor, not just someone who calls himself that to sound good.
Great guy, good friend, and his content critiquing social justice is characterized by the kind of detailed academic rigor and in-depth analysis one would expect from such a highly educated, intelligent and interesting man.
De Vulger Analuse runs his channel under a far more humorous line.
What mainly differentiates him from others is that he really doesn't give a damn how offensive he might be to some.
He goes after pretty much everything from Muslim YouTubers to anti-far to neo-Nazi YouTubers to the public media with a characteristic dark humour.
Least but not last, we have the Welharmafen who run a weekly podcast every Sunday at 6pm German time with a panel of varying political views debating whatever political and social events took place in Germany during the last week.
The core of the crew got together during Gamergate when they hosted streams for German Gamergaters.
The emphasis now is on critiquing social justice, critiquing feminism and the defence of freedom of speech.
