So I've had a huge influx of new subscribers recently and I'm very glad that you're all here.
Not that I know where you've come from, but I thought I'd explain a few things about myself.
I consider myself to be a classical liberal and I'm very much concerned with the state of the left because I consider myself to be of the left.
So I'm currently working on something that I think has the potential to be a really big deal and it's taking me a lot longer than I was expecting.
And so I guess I'm putting this up as just an update video.
And I'll give you links to my social media if you'd like to follow me there.
Because that's basically what I do when I'm taking a break from writing what I'm writing.
But I do think this is going to be very important.
And I think that we can rescue the left from itself.
Specifically from the Marxist ideology of social justice that has taken it over with almost no resistance.
To do this is not an easy job.
And it's going to require basically all of us.
Anyone who's interested in expunging this nonsense from our political parties is going to have to get involved.
And we're going to have to know what we stand for and why we stand for it and how we're going to attack them.
So I'm really doing my best to lay this out as clearly as possible.
Because to the uninitiated, this is all going to be completely, completely over their head.
They're not going to know what's going on.
And I don't blame them.
This is incredibly complicated.
So I'm writing out a kind of history of how the left has failed in recent years so that people reading it will have a memory of the political events that we're talking about.
And how this is connected to the ideological underpinnings of the people involved in it.
And why the ideology they follow is inherently flawed and causing them to lose track of reality and lose everything that they have, lose their political power.
I don't want to see Europe and America descend into right-wing governments for the rest of time, and that will not change until the left sorts its act out.
And that means reform.
And these are the reforms we need.
So that's what I'm working on at the moment.
And I really mean root and branch ideological reforms.
And because I've managed to get contacts within the mainstream media over the years, I may well be able to get these as articles in places like The Guardian or The Independent.
No confirmation on that yet, just fingers crossed, but it might be possible because we have to essentially red-pill as many people as we can on this nonsense.
So that's what I'm working on at the moment.
And it's going to be a while till it's done, probably a few days, and I'm probably not going to be producing any content in the meantime.
I might do like the odd Slack ownage video, or I'm producing stuff on my shit posting channel, but that takes 10 minutes, and it's not anything serious, it's just a bit of fun.
So yeah, just so people know.
So the social media you can follow me on in the meantime, I have a Facebook page called The Rationalist, which I share with a few other YouTubers who are very good.
I have my Twitter account, which is almost worthless.
I wouldn't bother following it because all I do is shit post.
I have my alternate channels, which are entirely about shitposting.
And then I have a minds.com account, which I'm actually growing quite fond of minds.
I like the kind of gamification of it.
The fact that you earn points for using it, and then you can use these points to promote yourself.
Actually, I think that's a great incentive, and I'm quite enjoying it.
So do follow me on there if you're interested.
And you can post more interesting things than on Twitter because of the character length.
It's actually really good.
But yeah, so that's what I'm doing in the meantime.
Thanks for listening and subscribing and liking my stuff.
I appreciate it.
I never talk about it, but I really do appreciate it.
And I really hope that something good can come of this.
If the alt-right have shown us anything, it's that political movements on the internet can break into real life if there is the will to make it happen.
Imagine a year ago someone telling you that Hillary Clinton was going to stand up in front of an audience of some of the most important people in her party and denounce an online right-wing political movement.
Just imagine it, it's just crazy, made up of memes, denouncing Pepe the Frog.
Absolutely absurd.
But we can do the same if we want.
We just have to want it.
And I just want to say a quick thing to John Oliver.
